Sichang is done. They converted the KTV a year ago, and now offering only cheap KTV room on hourly rate. I found this out last night by walking into it and asking them.
F. Darn, I was afraid of that. I use to love just taking that elevator up and down at around 4-5pm. It was like boxed in with all the hotties and it was free.
I THINK that the gals on the staircase are the DJ's. At least they were only DJ's the last time I was there.
Just a bit of observation. Yes if money is no object. But I'd opine that you'd have just as good a time if you would BAR all those mommas, uninvited gals, managers (whose major duty is to drink as much as posible to pad up the bill) etc from coming in your room. They're like vultures and come in droves to any room that would allow even the first one in to help themselves to your booze and even order up food etc. Watch out!
The Sichang hotel is one great big hoor house with only 2 floors for actual guest rooms. The rest being utilized for ALL sorts of shenanigans favoured by the male of the species! The closest I've seen as being a true "Bawdy house" in Dongguan and may have fallen victim to the recent "strike hard" campaign.

There is this other great new building next to it now. Not sure what that is.
As for the vultures, I don't ever talk to the guys that comes in, so they leave very quickly. But the female mamas, I have to say, may be from speaking after many drinks and other experiences, some are darn hot. As they may use to be a KTV girl in their earlier life. I have had a few crazy night that after drinking with the whole gang, like 20+ people went to foot massage and late snake post KTV. It was quite a scene. Averge like 4-5 girls per guy walking into a 24 hr restaurant and foot massage. And not take out fee as all the mamas + the girls came along.
Speaking of foot massage, my fav foot massage is not closed. It was right across from sichang, it had a buffet be / f or a / f your massage which was included as part of the fee.
I guess I have to move some of my play to other places in Guangzhou.
Following Disch's lead, I went to bravo Monday night. Did we go the same night as you had just written a report.
Maybe because I am a new face, they told me busboy also need 200 tip, how can that be, the princess at least drink with me all night, what does he do to deserve the same? Also, there is another 200 surcharge for changing the DJ. I really had no choice but to replace her as they sent me one fat and ugly. About that dance thing, maybe there is something I don't know about sauna. In a sauna setting, everybody is already naked, so the vaccum concept does not really apply. In KTV, there are considerable added excitements when everyone started out fully dressed and singing and drinking and then having the lights turned off and stripped and dance to really loud music. They will take turn holding my xiaodidi, while I finger them. Usually at least one pussy would be totally wet and that would typically be the girl I will eventually take home. After the dance, everyone get dressed again and continue to play, except now everyone is much closer to each other, LOL.

Hello to all,
I will be travelling to guangzhou on the 17th of July. I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction as to which hotels to book. I will be there for about 5 days. Ideally I am looking for a hotel that have the services in house so to say. But if not, I am open to suggestions. Also if there is any directions as to how much the services would be that would help.

ThanksGarden hotel is definitely not girl friendly, best to stay at a different hotel next time. The Cave Bar is definitely the new Tang in Guangzhou. I went there several nights and saw many WG. I don't see any hot one, so you must be really lucky. I did notice some new faces, not the same old same old from Gypsy King. There was at least one bargirl/dancer that was really hot, so anyone tried picking those up? I did asked one hot bar-girl when she will get off work and she said 2 with a big smile. I might had a chance except I was already with a hot KTV girl from CP that night.

I went there 5 times during my two weeks stay and I saw plenty of WG, no hottie, just OK quality, but then again, I usually only do KTV girls.

Or, cheaper ones. 350 or lower, are typically OK too, just the Garden Hotel types in the 700 range that tends to have problems with taking girls in.

Hello, everyone, been reading the forums for ages and have made a few contributions over the years to help keep things moving along as it were. I will be arriving in Guangzhou on the 25th of July to begin a new job and have never been to Guangzhou before. I want to stay in a GF hotel in guangzhou when I am there in 2 weeks. I am currently booked in the Garden Hotel because my vendor suggested I stay there. I can easily change hotels but I won't stay in a dump. I am used to 5 star accomodations. Any suggestions where I can stay that is nice that will allow me to bring a WG back to my room?
By the way, I would prefer not to stay in Tianhe area. Seems like the Huanshi Dong Lu area is easier to find women, MP, etc.

So many boring questions on this thread, discussions on taking the metro, RTFF questions, and invitations to go to CP where things are so much better. Well, there are places to go in Guangzhou (though I certainly won't argue the worth of Guangzhou over CP as a mongering destination) , if you just look. I had the occasion to head out of HK for a few days up to Guangzhou and found a decent full service sauna near the Dongfang Hotel / Marriott Hotel. The details:
After finishing running some errands as a favour for my friend, I had some time off and decided to try a sauna that was reviewed on this forum. From Dongfang Hotel, turn left on Liuhua Road. At the first intersection, turn left at North Renmin Road. The first small intersection is Panfu Dajie. Turn left here, and the Deyi Sangna Health Club is only about 50 meters down the street on the left.
Walk in, go down a couple steps to the counter. There are a few different kinds of massage, but mongers will want the "Thai Massage" for 368 RMB. I asked about the other kinds, which were regular massage and Chinese massage. I was told that the Thai Massage (listed as 90 minutes) would offer the "best service". I know what that means, and I took it.
I was lead off into the men's locker room. Regulars know the deal. You put on a bracelet with your number. The locker room attendants help you change out of your clothes, put everything away, and then hit the lockers. There is an extra 10 RMB fee here for the clothes you wear for the Thai Massage. This extra charge doesn't apply for the other massages. Oy, what's a Pound here or there?
After the shower, putting on my fancy new 10 RMB clothes, I was led off to the rest area. As I was there in the late afternoon, there was not too much activity. The bartender gave me a Coke, and I asked to get the massage quickly since my time was limited. After a while, a youngish "mamasan" asked me to go upstairs and led me down a dark series of corridors to a massage room.
Eventually the massage girl entered. They keep the rooms fairly dark, so it's difficult to see too much. The girl I had is local (as she had a thick Cantonese accent when speaking Mandarin. English was very limited.) Facilities seemed reasonably clean, but old. Not terrible, not great, but in the middle of the scale. The "massage" started with me faced down. Not great, but decent, and a lot of attention paid to the posterior.
Keep in mind, I thought this place was just a HJ-type place. My masseuse, #22, claimed to be new to this establishment. I believe she was new to this sauna, but not new to the sauna business. Difficult to see exactly, but probably in the mid- to late-20s. Nice personality, and we chatted a while during the massage. It's always better to develop some relationship with the masseuse. In this case helpful to know some Chinese. (Though Cantonese would have been better!)
After about 20 minutes, she ducked out for a bit to get a "glass of water". This turned out to be the requisite equipment for fire and ice. She did some of the water-gurgling-on-the-back routine, and then asked me to turn over. (I much obliged.) Off come the shorts, and then starts the BBBJ with fire and ice. Quite good. During this time, she grabbed my hand to put on her tits and asked me to feel her up. No problem.
Some more of this, and then out comes the 'dom, and she asked whether she or I should be on top. I'm a lazy guy, and asked her to be on top. (And at this time, very pleasantly surprised it's not just a HJ establishment!) What followed was one of the more passionate experiences I've ever had in a sauna. Maybe she's new to this place, but I felt that Miss #22 was enthusiastic, and seemed into it. First, she was on top, and I sucked on her nipples for a while (which she seemed to like). Eventually we switched, with her on the bottom. A lot of sauna girls give you a feeling of a definite routine, but not here. She seemed more open and flexible. No kissing (though I didn't try.) No DATY (again, didn't try) , but overall, I felt it was one of the better sauna experiences I've had. Be advised, this may be due to the fact I was only expecting an HJ and got much more.
I would definitely go back and ask for #22. No, she's not the youngest or prettiest. But overall an excellent provider. She asked me to call her next time I'm in Guangzhou. (So here's hoping my friend needs another favour done soon!)
After the deed, we chatted for a bit. I needed to catch a train back to HK, so I didn't stay the full 90 minutes. I didn't get the feeling there would be an opportunity for a second pop even if I didn't have to get back home. I just headed back down to the showers, washed off, changed back up, gave the locker attendants a tip (thtey seemed like decent guys, and weren't pushy, so I gave them 50 RMB) , and then out the door. This place makes you pre-pay for the massage, so nothing to do when I left. Just back out on the street, squinting in the sun, looking for a taxi to get back to Guangzhou East Station.

After paying 368 and 10 for the sauna clothes mamassam took me to the dark rooms and send a cute girl around 20-25. I want to stay in a GF hotel in guangzhou when I am there in 2 weeks. I am currently booked in the Garden Hotel because my vendor suggested I stay there. I can easily change hotels but I won't stay in a dump. I am used to 5 star accomodations. Any suggestions where I can stay that is nice that will allow me to bring a WG back to my room?
By the way, I would prefer not to stay in Tianhe area. Seems like the Huanshi Dong Lu area is easier to find women, MP, etc.
HELP ME WITH INFO PLEASE. I think you will have a harder time finding high end GF hotels in HuanshiDong area, while all the 5 stars in TienHe will be GF.
It is only 10 min taxi ride and I am sure the gilrs will be fine with that. I suggest the Westin as they have a bar (qBar) that always has some WG there, even though might be lower quality, but they are right there so just in case you do not find a good one in other parts of the city, you can always have your last resort right downstairs.

Also, the only mention of bars is The Cave with not good quality. Any info about any others around the Victory hotel would be much appreciated.
Heading down for the first week of July. That hotel is in Shamian, so depends on where your day work is, it might be way out, so check where you need to be during the day first. Most 3 or lower stars hotels are GF, just those 4 stars are often not, all higher end. 5-6 stars, if not in Huangshidong area, should be GF, so basically, find a hotel that has a room rate above 1500, then it is a pretty sure bet it will be GF, as I have talked to many WG about this and that was what their experience were.

Room cost is about 650 a night. I had brought girls in recently, but registration was required, so more strict then President Hotel, so just make sure the girl has her I'd card with her and most WGs in bars do.

FillmoreYou should try the ritz carlton and grand hyatt in the zhujiang new town area which is very close to the tianhe district. BTW, you can always book westin for around 1200, and it shall not not go up to 1700 per night. That's too expensive. And there's another choice. Jianguo hotel where is right next to the east railway station. Very nice and reasonably price and most important gf.

Staying at Victory Hotel Shamian ISland. Very nice old buildings but no action. Bellboy said no problem for girls to follow you in. I am in west wing which is not the main reception / check in so keep this in mind. Good value hotel I think for faciclities.
Just went to CLub Nova. Nothing happening. There are some nice young babes but no wgs. But it is Monday nite and I left at 11pm.

Picked up a hot fili there a year or so back. Check the HK board, photos there also. Paid a premium but very hot and well worth it. GFE as well which was great until day three when the moaning starts! (out of the bed that is.)
Avoid street pimps and wgs in Tsim Sha Tui on kowloon side. Overpriced and no good really.
Go to Mong Kok market area and check out smallish yellow signs with red Chinese writing, usually in the vertical. Once you get into the hotel, you should be able to find their sauna, or just follow some other guys are many foreigners go there. I know, people don't post.

I do want to say that I have almost stopped going down to CP for KTV these days as I really hate having to rush out of work early just so I can beat the 6pm flower street. After I discovered the trick to KTV in Panyu, I now take my time and go have my dinner in Guangzhou and conduct my business till I have really finished work, which would be around 9pm, then I head over to Panyu KTV and get there around 10pm, and I still can get the best looking girl, at least no less in quality then I typically find in CP.
I party in Panyu to around 1am and bring a girl back to Guangzhou to go dancing with her in places like KAMA or Cave before taking her back to my place.
I still go to CP once in a while for the vaccum dance in FuHao, but otherwise, no need to go through the trouble to go down to CP or Zhuhai.

Cave Bar, and next door Gypsy King, good selection of WGs, especially at Cave, quality hit or miss but at least you will mostly find Chinese girls there, then proceed to KAMA for non-Chinese, and quality usually poor.

Yesterday, I took a "civilian" I have been seeing for an evening in Guangzhou. It started out wonderful, train ride, taxi to the Hotel Landmark Canton that I had booked thru Agoda, then off to "freshen up".
Nice little pre- river cruise nap, really nice river cruise, and then back to the hotel's 39th floor restaurant for dinner. First inkling of a problem. As we approached the elevators, the guard stopped us (her really) and asked if she was registered. We both show our keys, and he let's us pass. She could tell I was agitated, because even though I didn't understand what he said, if was obvious what he thought.
The restaurant closes at 10:30 (it is now 10:35) , so back down we go and out for a bite. Went to a big seafood place, and just as I ordered a Thai prawn, was told it costs 399 rmb for ONE prawn! Changed that in a hurry, had nice (if expensive) meal and back to the hotel we go to enjoy the rest of the evening.
This is where it all went in the crapper! The same guard, who now has a side-kick, stops us AGAIN. I am like, WTF, but held my tongue so as to not embarrass my "guest". He lets us pass and just about the time I am in an embrace in the room, the phone rings and the front desk wants to know if I have a guest in the room. I said no, I booked the room for two and she was with me at check in. I was told her info was not on the file, I said she was standing right beside me when we checked in and no one asked for her I'd. I was told I needed to bring the I'd down and register. Off I go with a Chinese I'd in hand and a head of steam. It only gets better, when I get to the front desk, I tell them that this is not the way to treat a guest and that I had paid for two people in the room. The clerk ask me if my girl is Chinese, I told her yes, since you are holding her Chinese I'd card! Then the bomb shell! In that case I need to produce a marriage certificate, or we cannot stay in the same room! I was livid, and told her that I was sure that not everyone in the hotel was married, and that not more than two blocks from the hotel, they have touts handing out cards for hookers to come to your room. I pushed about as far as I could without having her call the police, and when I turned around I noticed the "security" guards had increased in number from 2 to 4. There aren't words to describe how angry I was, and then I had to go get my girl and bring her downstairs, which I am not sure if she was embarrassed, but I was for her. I wound up getting a second room, and it was an uneasy lobby as long as I was milling around.
This morning, I spoke with the "manager" who would not give me his business card, and all I got from him was " I am sorry, but this is required by the police". I asked him if everyone that checked into the hotel had to produce a marriage license, and as if on cue a couple walked up to ask some information, and I said to the manager,"Did you check for their marriage certificate when they checked in". The asshole just smiled and said," I am sorry".
About this time, I decided that nothing good was going to happen if I didn't leave the hotel, but would ask everyone who reads this to spread the word, NOT TO STAY AT THE LANDMARK HOTEL CANTON!

Many hotels in Guangzhou required couple to show that they are married to stay in same room, if the girl holds Chinese I'd card, this is particularily true of 4 star hotels in city centers. 3 Starts like the Hotel Canton was known to be GF, and most hotels in Tianhe are GF.
Guangzhou is much more fun then CP, so it is very nice to be able to bring a girl from places like CP to Guangzhou to have a romantic evening. CP is really a dump with practically no place to go with your girl except the hotel room, which is why I now do most of my KTV in Panyu, as it is a short taxi ride to take your KTV girl back to Guangzhou like that river you mentioned, or any of the romantic cafe and bars and restaurants. Knowing which hotel in Guangzhou to stay is then the key.

Although I believe that the law is still on the books, I really thought China had progressed beyond pulling that shit. It has been years since I have been asked for a marriage certificate in any hotel, although I rarely use hotels in Guangzhou other than for ST. Local guys take their girlfriends to hotels all the time. However, if you read the fine print on the rules and regulations, you might find that "guests" are not allowed in your room after 11pm. This is pretty common, expecially in 5 star hotels. But, if you get back into the room before 11pm, you are normally OK for the night. I did get a call once about my "guest" at the China Hotel a couple of years ago but I told them that she had left. They did not bother to check it out further.
That said, I usually take my freebies to Shenzhen and Zhuhai, both of which are much more GF even in the 5-star hotels.
IMHO, one of two things may have been going on:
1) The security guy might have been looking for a kickback.
2) The hotel just wanted to sell you the second room.
In any event, I have been a good patron of their dim sum over the years, but will find an alternative.

There is a night market across the street from Tianhe park. It covers a pretty large area, and after visiting a few times I suspected there might be something interesting going on there. Saw a place down an alley way (which is part of a large network / series of alleyways) which seemed somewhat questionable as to whether it was legit or not. Outside it has foot massage and other types of massage listed in Chinese only with prices. Pretty cheap for a regular massage, only 35RMB. But the women inside seemed to be dressed awfully sexy for regular massage, so I visited with a friend of mine.
No English at this place, but I speak fluent Chinese so it's not a problem. They said at first there was only regular massage. But I suspected otherwise, so I said okay for the regular massage. I flirted with the girl a bit and then she told me, actually, they do offer 'extra' services there. She said she could take us upstairs and there's a place where they do the 'business'. She wanted me to name the price, and after haggling for quite sometime and saying thanks but no thanks, we finally settled on three-fifty for everything. I tried hard to get her lower (she started at 500) , and maybe could have if I'd walked out.
They took us to an apartment upstairs, and it was pretty ghetto style. Small, dirty, and dark. She was friendly and flirty, though, which made it more fun at least. Guangzhou has a lot of sauna dan also KTV.

There is a night market across the street from Tianhe park. It covers a pretty large area, and after visiting a few times I suspected there might be something interesting going on there. Saw a place down an alley way (which is part of a large network / series of alleyways) which seemed somewhat questionable as to whether it was legit or not. Outside it has foot massage and other types of massage listed in Chinese only with prices. Pretty cheap for a regular massage, only 35RMB. But the women inside seemed to be dressed awfully sexy for regular massage, so I visited with a friend of mine.
No English at this place, but I speak fluent Chinese so it's not a problem. They said at first there was only regular massage. But I suspected otherwise, so I said okay for the regular massage. I flirted with the girl a bit and then she told me, actually, they do offer 'extra' services there. She said she could take us upstairs and there's a place where they do the 'business'. She wanted me to name the price, and after haggling for quite sometime and saying thanks but no thanks, we finally settled on three-fifty for everything. Went to Cave, Gypsy King and Kama last night and not able to pick up any quality.
They all still need to close at 2AM. I was able to sneak into KAMA at 2:30 from the back entrance but the music stopped around then. 1. They are local, so if you are working in Guangzhou, you can call them up to come over in short notice. I called the girl I just met in my earlier post on the morning of my flight to leave BJ and she came over in less then 20 min.
2. They are available. In CP, KTV girls has to report to work everyday, or they will need to pay a fine. They do have a few free days a month, but considering their monthly periods, those free days are too few. In Guangzhou, at at least in the KTV I went, there is no policy for girls to report to work, they can come whenever they want to and any time the choose to, which was why I still had a good picked at 12 since my girl came into work at 11:30.
Also, the huge problem in CP is that you have to go to a KTV early. 5-7pm in most places, but in Guangzhou, no such problem, you can go any time of the night.

Lately have read your recommendations for the KTV channel to great and continuing girls which sounds good for someone who is living here or in and out frequently but wondering if your road to glory doesn't require some fluency in putonghua plus a deep pocket for the KTV charges and the girls? Do you have a way to go in solo, have a great time and not go home broke? What do the repeat dates with the girls you meet at the KTVs come out to in rmb? KTVs are an acquired taste for myself and the Guangzhou places don't seem like any of the reports coming out of Changping or Donguang. Tianhe where I live has just opened several but the room rates are high, not the warmest vibe and I have no idea on the details so far. Trying to figure out how to get started and come home happy. Any suggestions appreciated for an alumni of Jackson's AP.

As for language, yes or no, but I think you have to be able to make the girl like you enough to keep the relationship going, without paying extra. The general rule for KTV girls take out is to substitude their working pay, so instead of going to work, they come to you, with predictability, so if she likes you, she will certainly prefer spending time with you then going to work with some unpredictable guy.

There are no guidebooks and the discussions in this thread don't throw much light. I'm trying to read some threads in Chinese like gzsanga but it's slow going there and I'm not sure there's much useful information available there either.
So probably best to continue learning the hard way and see where it leads. Tonight I took another look at the newest one I know of located on Tianhe bei Lu next door (to the left. 4th floor, Thunder) to Hooley's, the Irish Pub. I stumbled into it about a month ago and an English speaker gave me a quick tour. It's luxe looking with designer interior rooms. Tonight not one english speaker out of about a dozen staff, until they brought out a girl from Uzbekistan who spoke just enough to get room rates of 840 to 1280 and up. Sitting girls 500. No way to ask if it went 5/15/20 or not. No mention of tips or drinks minimums. The girls I've seen going in or coming out have been a seriously hot step above what I've seen anywhere else. The Uzbek girl took my phone number and said she would call me. Will see if that happens and what she has in mind. I didn't get the impression she would be calling about the KTV.
Likewise I don't go up the price ladder for the tall, model girls and I'm all ready out of what I like to pay at 3/10/13. 5/15/20 is beyond the pale.

Across the street two very undercover looking guys watching the entrance of Starbucks and up and down the street. I don't know this area well, but seems like a lot of pressure. Went to Cave, Gypsy King and Kama last night and not able to pick up any quality.
They all still need to close at 2AM. I was able to sneak into KAMA at 2:30 from the back entrance but the music stopped around then. Given the unfriendly climate around Garden Hotel I remembered a place in Guangzhou visited before moving here. Along the riverfront, one night a panhandler with a monkey that grabbed my leg and wouldn't let go. The panhandler's price for release from the monkey was a donation. I pulled the monkey off myself and then we walked further along and got the big eye from a group of girls that clearly weren't out for a moon tan. At the time it was just another novelty in Guangzhou but decided to check it out last night and have a good German dinner anyway at 1920. A no lose plan.
The strip has definitely improved and the bars and restaurants look livelier. There's a big Cantonese seafood restaurant that's been there a long time with a balcony onto the street. Excellent and a visit to the high quality live food department is like a trip to the aquarium zoo in itself.
After taking in the sights I crossed the street to riverfront to check the girls sitting. No panhandler and monkey but a Sichuan girl who had just landed in Guangzhou was on my arm in the first 20 meters talking 400 anmo, suckie and which way is your hotel. Nice comfortable girl to be with so I took her to dinner before back to the apartment for the fireworks. Before dinner we walked along the riverfront and I saw other hungry eyes. The other day I went to Blue Coast Spa Club. 388rmb for massages. (With DG so close by, it's hard to complain too much, of course.) At least as of 5 months ago, there were still touts outside of the China Hotel in front of McDonalds. I didn't talk to them or ask about services, especially since my feeling is it would be difficult to get girls into the China Hotel, although I could be wrong. I've always sort of assumed it was like the Garden Hotel that way.
Also, there is a FS sauna only a 10-15 minute walk away from the China Hotel. You can search for my previous report (Deyi Sauna). Maybe things have changed in the last few months, but at least this summer FS was still being offered.

I do like to check out that new thunder KTV above Hooleys though, so if you want to go, or anyone else, please let me know. I got contacted by a WG whom I met some time ago in CAVE and she said she can book room for me, and they do have 400 girls, but no 300. KAMA appear to be the only 300 place as far as I know inside the city.

Followed in Baccus9's footsteps and did some research on ThunderVII. Its as mentioned its a KTV on in Tianhe upstairs from Hooley's. The entrance is a bit hard to find, with no big lights or much in terms of a reception, but you can just take the entrance on the right hand side of the Golden Season's Hotel. Make sure you go to the 4th floor, since nothing in the lift indicates where exactly the KTV is. Floor 2 and 3 apparently house a massage place.
The place looks decent as KTV's go. Very similar to many places in CP. Rooms, at least on Thursday nights are RMB 88 until 2 AM. Girls are 400/1300/1500. I didn't see any lineup and none of girls passed by while I was looking at the rooms, so I cannot attest to quantity or quality. I was considering a trial but then did a quick calculation in my head 88 + 400 + 400 + drinks + 900 for takeout for myself alone just seemed excessive. Maybe I have been spoiled by BSD in CP.

That is a lot of great and nuanced discussion of the way things work in general and especially in Guangzhou.
There seem to be a lot of KTVs in Tianhe and just watching what goes in and out I get the impression a good portion of them are places Chinese friends and families go without the interests of sittings girls. I could be all wrong. Could also be influenced by the impression I've gotten from going with Chinese friends who just had singing and drinking in mind. There are no guidebooks and the discussions in this thread don't throw much light. I'm trying to read some threads in Chinese like gzsanga but it's slow going there and I'm not sure there's much useful information available there either.
So probably best to continue learning the hard way and see where it leads. Tonight I took another look at the newest one I know of located on Tianhe bei Lu next door (to the left. 4th floor, Thunder) to Hooley's, the Irish Pub. I stumbled into it about a month ago and an English speaker gave me a quick tour. It's luxe looking with designer interior rooms. Tonight not one english speaker out of about a dozen staff, until they brought out a girl from Uzbekistan who spoke just enough to get room rates of 840 to 1280 and up. Sitting girls 500. No way to ask if it went 5/15/20 or not. No mention of tips or drinks minimums. The girls I've seen going in or coming out have been a seriously hot step above what I've seen anywhere else. The Uzbek girl took my phone number and said she would call me. Will see if that happens and what she has in mind. I didn't get the impression she would be calling about the KTV.
Likewise I don't go up the price ladder for the tall, model girls and I'm all ready out of what I like to pay at 3/10/13. 5/15/20 is beyond the pale.

Thanks Fillmore! It seems the info was readily available. Maybe it was my innocent charm or to valiant attempts to speak Putunghua (It seems few white guys speak Chinese in Guangzhou). The manager seemed quite forthcoming when I asked him, first for the room price and then for cost of the Xiaojie. He may have been under the impression that I am researching for a larger party to come later. It was also a day when the Canton Fair just closed, so they could have been desperate for business. Anyway, I was the first time I was asking so I just assumed the info was available.
So, since I decided not to spend crazy money on 1 person KTV, I ended up following one of your recommendations on the board and tried QBar at the Westin. It seems Thursdays is their Latin Dance night, meaning it was full of local dancers instead of hotel guests and WG's. The two ladies singing in the band were both delicious, though. Regardless, I had my Whisky Sour and left the bar, when a well equipped and obviously available lady tugged on my sleeves in the hotel lobby. She look well on the worse side of 40 so, following further advice from the forum, I asked her for any younger available ladies. We agreed on a service fee of 300 if the selection is good and 200 if I walk away. I also agreed to pay the taxi fee if I send the girl away. The price for the girl would have been RMB 1k. Both may have been negotiable.
After 20 minutes (and me getting a bit restless) the promised girl showed up. She was young enough and the body shape was ok, but I was a but turned off by her square face so graciously declined. The Mama was adamant that she has more selection but it was getting late and I got up to leave. Miraculously the angry dude who had been eying us from across the room the whole time, turned out to be a competing pimp, who had girls available at closer call. The mama introduced us and I agreed to wait for another 10 minutes. When his girl arrived, I was already not in the mood any more so, send the girl (a 7) home with her taxi fee and left. I have not tried KAMA or CAVE yet. Went to club right north of the stadium at the entrance of the Guangzhou sports university. Nice place, but seems clean. Maybe I should try CAME and KAMA!
BTW: By no means I was implying that I was unhappy with the QBar tip. Quite the opposite in fact. You are by far the most active poster on the Guangzhou board and I am very grateful for all the advice. I knew Westin would be hit and miss and in the end it paid off. (at least almost, that was due to my own choice)

Finally have a report. Was suppose to go to Nanmei sauna today but ended up going to my dad's for dinner.
Went to MingHong Sauna afterwards. Very good value for 298rmb FS.
Place is easy to find, I took the Metro to the Xicun station. Make sure to use the A exit as it spits you out closest to MingHong.
After a short walk it will be on your left hand side. Place is clean enough, Up to 2nd level; after a brief misunderstanding because I walked in like I owned the place showered and robed up and lead to the massage room in the back of 2nd floor. Was not taken up to 3rd floor room like Flying Solo reported, not sure why. Regardless shoutout to Flying Solo to finding this place I even told the girl I was flying solo in your honor.
The girl (#58) they brought to me was decent looking enough with a nice little body; I would guess 23-25 years old, about 5'2 105 lbs tops. You want to go down the south most point and follow the road south and away from the main big street Nei Huan Lu (aka Inner Ring Road in English). There are no real distinguishing landmarks that I remember. But if you head south away from the big street it should lead you in the right direction.
I walked down that street. What does the outside of the building look like? How far down is it? 200 yards? Or more?
I did not see any signs or signs of a massage joint (e. G, price list, or spa pictures). Is the sign only in Chinese? Is it just a building lobby?

AsnDragon.I had explained about this before, Guangzhou KTV is for people who come to Guangzhou for business and don't have time to go to CP. Panyu quality is indeed better, but the better ones are at 400 places, not the 300. Guangzhou also have high quality, I am sure, but KAMA is the only place inside the city that offers 300 girls. So here is a brief list of why KTV in Guangzhou.
1. Busy people don't have time to leave work 4pm to go to CP and return to Guangzhou the next morning, the whole trip can be exhausting. To get to Guangzhou KTV, I just get in a taxi and 10 min later, I am in.
2. Busy people have things to do and cannot finish early and often it means 9 or 10pm, so try going to any KTV in CP at 10pm and see what happens.
3. Most important, get to know local KTV girls. Once you have been to a Guangzhou KTV, you get to know a couple of the girls and you will be all set for long time. Like in my case, I really don't need to go anymore, the KTV girls I met have friends and we often hang out and one lead to another, I have too many KTV gilrs to handle.

I had explained about this before, Guangzhou KTV is for people who come to Guangzhou for business and don't have time to go to CP. Panyu quality is indeed better, but the better ones are at 400 places, not the 300. Guangzhou also have high quality, I am sure, but KAMA is the only place inside the city that offers 300 girls. So here is a brief list of why KTV in Guangzhou.
1. Busy people don't have time to leave work 4pm to go to CP and return to Guangzhou the next morning, the whole trip can be exhausting. To get to Guangzhou KTV, I just get in a taxi and 10 min later, I am in.
2. Busy people have things to do and cannot finish early and often it means 9 or 10pm, so try going to any KTV in CP at 10pm and see what happens.
3. Most important, get to know local KTV girls. Once you have been to a Guangzhou KTV, you get to know a couple of the girls and you will be all set for long time. Like in my case, I really don't need to go anymore, the KTV girls I met have friends and we often hang out and one lead to another, I have too many KTV gilrs to handle.

Well this week has been pretty entertaining.
Yesterday night I went to a Guangzhou locals bar called Lili Maling. That is about 500-700m West of Guangzhou Friendship Mall. The place looks decent as KTV's go. Very similar to many places in CP. Rooms, at least on Thursday nights are RMB 88 until 2 AM. Girls are 400/1300/1500. I didn't see any lineup and none of girls passed by while I was looking at the rooms, so I cannot attest to quantity or quality. Here's the first brief report of some of the experiences I've had since coming to Guangzhou in June this year. I might add I lived in Tokyo before hand and I was quite taken back by visiting bars (Cave) and saunas, quite eye opening experiences. A culture shock indeed that also requires a bit of etiquette.
Cave Bar Report 1 (June 2011). Since June, I've visited Cave 4-6 times. My first time was great. Oddly enough I was in the place for only 10 minutes before leaving with a girl. We only waited as the cops turned up. I was walking to Cave outside and passed a two girls who were walking in. One really caught my eye. And she gave me a cheeky look. I fancied her so I followed them. At a respectable pace inside. Once inside I couldn't see her and so ordered a drink.
Then sat in once of the booths and before I could take a sip she appeared (in different clothes) gave me a big smile and a wave. How much do they charge by avg?Cave is very close to Garden hotel, you can't miss it. As for the cost of the WGs, there is no such thing of an ave, I guess. Plenty of older / fat WGs in such bars and if you want them, I am sure they will go back with you for peanuts. The young and attractives are hard to find, maybe you go there 5 times and can run into one, as they get snap up pretty quick, maybe even before they enter the place. Expect to pay at least 1000 for a younger and slim girl, but those older and fat you can take them back for 100-200.

The younger girls usually work in ktvs and they may sometimes go to bars, but mostly, they are not visible in the open market. KTV like Kama is very easy with the girls, anyone can moonlight there, whenever they want, so the more attractive girls will find the KTV way much easier then going to bars.

On Sat I went with my two KTV girls and the guys there just cannot leave us alone. We where at the bar and the guy sitting next to me just keep staring at my girls and kept asking to shake hand with them. Another guy sitting on the other said told my English speaking KTV girl how lovely she was and when she replied the dancer was lovely, he said No No, my girl was much more beautiful. At least he was polite, as other guys standing behind just kept leaning over to ask to drink with my girls, and ask to shake hand with them. One guy even hand over an empty glass to me to ask me to fill it with MY drink so the he can drink with my girls. When one of my girl went to the bathroom, another guy just sat down at her chair and ask to play dice game with my other girl, as if I did not exist. Later on, another guy waved a couple of 100s to my girls and ask them to go up the stage dance, since, he said, they were much more pretty then those dancers. I went there to enjoy and I am a good tippers to the dancers and I order a lot of drinks, but it was just getting out of hand and we had to leave.

Sunday we went to Bound and it was pretty deserted at 11, more people came around midnight and there were many more girls then guys. There might be a couple WGs.

Thursday we went to Paddy Field, that place was completely pack, despite been a rainy night. WGs were hard to spot, also I was mostly doing my dancing there. We had to share a table with two other guys and sure enough, the guy sitting next to one of my two girls brought her a drink and asked if she would be going home with me, when I was dancing with the other girl, and he must be thinking this guy don't need TWO beautiful girls to go home right? At least he was polite, unlike those pigs at CAVE.

Last night I went back to CAVE alone, after sending both of my girls back as I really needed some time going to bar by myself, but I was too late. 3AM, all the dancers were gone. One dancer was just walking out and when she saw me, she was really nice and ask to sit with me. When I told her I need to just have a drink with the cutest bar girls there, she then walk with me to look at the bar girls and eventually found two I like. The 4 of us then sit down to play some dice game and the dancer was sitting next to me leaning over and running her hands all over me. She still had perfectly slim and sexy body but slightly older. We played till 4am when the bar closed and she ask me where I live and walk with me to find a taxi. Under normal circumstance, I will take her back to my place, but that day I must have already spent 4 hours making love to my two KTV girls and I still need to be in good shape the next day, so I handed her 100 and said I wil see you again. She asked my number and told me to call her, and maybe she can be a good connection down the road for me to hook up with other dancers at CAVE.

I will be leaving Guangzhou this Friday, a dreadful thought really, it is so nice to be able to walk around without getting really sweaty in the winter here.

It was in Tianjin few years back, club name is scarlet. Me and my friend were dancing my friend was little drunk too. My friend tried to dance with a Chinese beauty who is actully dancing with her Chinese BF. My friend started body touching, The Chinese BF act so friendly and he offered a dink to my friend and they walk towards there table. On reaching ther the Chinese guy break a beer bottle on his table on kept on my friends neck. I and yelled something in Chinese neither my friend does not speak Chinese. My friend is very tall and fit and that Chinese guy is short and slim. It was one of the most embrassing moment of my life in China. Security came, music stop, dancing stop lights on. People start to run away. One of the bad incident I really don't want to remeber. The scene ends in fight and police.
So fellow mongers be careful with Chinese girls who has BF. Some Chinese men are very pride for there girl. They will do whatever they can to make girl happy.

Last night I took my girls to Thunder 7, the new KTV in the next building to Hooleys in Tianhe. We went very late. 11:30. The room was quite nice, as it is a new place. They have very few girls though. When I went to KAMA KTV around similar time, I always saw a lineup, but last night, they were only able to produce two girls and both quite old, maybe 28 or even 30. The DJ was kind of cute though, she said she used to work at KAMA and said KAMA had more girls then this new place. She also said the best KTV to go is kaikai in Baiyun district. Looks like to find high end KTV girls it will be difficult inside Guangzhou. My two girls were both from Panyu, so maybe still the best is to go there, or someone will need to report on ktvs in Baiyun area.
