I am living at Metro station Weining Lu (next station after Loushanguang Lu).
Walked around this area, but did not find any interesting places. The massage place which is quite near is a legit one.


Try Loushanguan Road. It is the next subway station from ZhongShan Park. I stay around that area, and sometimes go to one of the BBS for HJ or BBBJ. As for take-out service, not too sure. You will have to negotiate for takeout.
Do note the BBS are located some distance apart from one another, so you may want to recce. The BBS I am referring to is on Loushanguan Rd, when you walk out from subway, walk towards the direction of Changning Rd. You will see a lot of eating places. WHen you come to a NanHua hotpot restaurant, you can see the BBS across the street.

Jinjiang Sofitel (Pudong) has a sauna called Dream Spa at the back. Walk out the front entrance, turn left to go around to the side of the hotel. You should be able to see the Spa. Damage is rmb760 for FS. Standard service (catbath, AR, BBBJ, FS). YMMV for once or 2-times. Lineup is okay; but note I haven't been back there in months since moving to Puxi side.

On a recent trip to Shanghai, I was directed to a sauna that had been mentioned on the forum infrequently in the past, but not recently. Usual Sauna scene, good lineup and then shower, soapy, red rope (which I turned down, once is enough). Rooms were clean enough and large enough. Good experience, 800 rmb, didn't notice the duration but wasn't hurried. It was a daytime visit and the place was not crowded.

Also visited a massage place on Guilin Lu, past its intersection with Wuzhong Lu. There is a row of three or four of these places and all had girls in miniskirts standing near the entrances. i went to try out the three moon spa (三月养生会) along jianguo west road. i found the place from some of the japanese dm magazines which you can pick up at some of the japanese resturants in shanghai. some fellow mongers also reported about this place in previous post, so i decided to give it a try. check previous post for the address.

Why would I pay the grossly inflated prices being asked at the above places?

These girls are preying on the lack of market knowledge by newbies in Shanghai for the Expo. If all you guys refused to pay their stupid prices then you might get some value for money. I guess if this happened then these true pros would not come here since the money would not be big enough for them.

In the chance that I have just been unlucky recently I will try once again over the weekend. I am not confident that anything will be in any way different.

Maybe I have just been spoiled over the years or too fussy? Probably a case of both but I did notice that many of the girls were having a low conversion rate of chats to dates and this seems to suggest that I am not alone in my findings.

There may be better choices, but here's what I'd do if I was stuck in Songjiang and needed a quick fix.

Take line 9 to the Qibao stop. not sure which exit, but when you emerge into the open air and face the street that the exit opens onto, there will be a big shopping center across the cross street to your left. Turn right and head away from that. Walk a couple blocks and soon you will see a series of three or four pink BBS on your right. PM me if we need to discuss further.

Uncle Ira may work in Songjiang but he lives in the city and is surely thankful for that.

According to a Chinese forum, there's some BBS's near the Longhua Pagoda on a small road off of Longshui North Rd. Having RTFF and seen the countless number of posts all going on about the same thing, asking people to read RTFF, I thought it would be a good idea to try and put some useful information in one post as it did take me long time to sift through the reports and get the required information.

It is all there, and the search function does help, it just takes time.

Hopefully this will therefore be useful.

A couple of points from the outset.

1 – I had no problem accessing ISG from my hotel.

2 – I took a girl back one night, getting to the hotel at about 1am. There was no need to register the girl. I just walked in holding her hand and went straight to the elevator. Whilst I cannot pretend to be experienced in Shanghai, the sex trade is an important part of the Chinese economy and hotel staff probably do not care. It may be different in lower end hotels, but I was in a 5 star hotel and had no problems.

3 – I only visited Heting Elite and a couple of bars, namely Malones and Manhattan although I have put some additional information in my report as I had done the research.

Sauna / Massage

Heting Elite – 3/F, 777 Si Ping Road – this place is awesome and whilst I have nothing to compare it to, the place was like walking into a 5 star hotel spa. Having tried this place, I am not that bothered about trying other places, although, no doubt, in time I will.

Golden 18 (G18) – corner of Nanjing Xi Lu and Wulumuqi Bei Lu

Yu Ping – 999 Tianyaoqiao Lu

Zhonglian – could not find address in the forum– perhaps someone would be kind enough to complete

World plaza. Could not find address in the forum– perhaps someone would be kind enough to complete

Sacrosa – 5/F, Hua Shan Tower, 1085 Pudou Road (S)

Tomson. Could not find address in the forum– perhaps someone would be kind enough to complete

Tianhao – 978 Gu Mei Lu

Shanghai Hotel sauna. Could not find address in the forum– perhaps someone would be kind enough to complete

Bars

Manhattan – 154 Nan Yang Road. Great bar, filled with plenty of girls. Was fortunate enough to meet an American in Malones (see later) who suggested that I don't choose a girl from Malones until I have at least been to Manhattan – I am glad he did and I followed his advice.

So, for all the newbies, there you have a list of places to get you started, but as the more senior guys say, there is no excuse or substitute for doing your own research. I did, so the information is there, just try not to be so lazy.

One final note to the moderators. There really is great deal of rubbish posts in the forum saying RTFF. It does make finding relevant information incredibly time consuming. It may be a good idea to tidy up the forum a little and delete some of the rubbish. By all means keep some of the posts saying RTFF, as it makes the point, but how many times do you need to say it.

I hope my last point does not offend anyone, as that is the last thing I would want to do, after all, it is down to you guys that I found the information in the first place and ended up having a great time in Shanghai.

instead i decided to get down and dirty in a bbs, since in the past i have found this sort of quicky action in rundown settings (think downtown in madrid or in the parks on the outskirts of köln) really works for me. *so, yesterday, after searching the shanghai forum for "bbs", i saw that one poster had pointed out songfa metro up in baoshan district had more than 15 bbs nearby, and currently in operation despite the downtown crackdown. *late in the afternoon (around 7pm), i arrived at songfa metro, and, not knowing which way to go, headed west on songfa road. *this path immediately passes a small commercial zone on the right, with two very legitimate looking barbershops with male barbers at work on numerous customers. *the road then crosses a small stinky canal, then goes through a very quiet residential area. about 1km from the metro is the intersection of songnan road, which is the heart of a sizeable commercial district. walking north and south on this road, i covered the whole little area, and indeed saw upwards of 15 barber shops. *

however, this being my first time in china, i was still underinformed about how these places work and how they should look. in most i saw a combination of men and a few women barbers, cutting peoples hair. *obviously that can't be the sole purpose of these shops, given that they made up a good 20% of the businesses in the area. but i was confused by the low number of women visible, the fact that they were not dressed slutty or sexy, and the fact that despite my peering into all these places, i wasn't beckoned inside. *anyway, especially being completely bald, i figured that if i was beckoned inside, it would be because they knew what i was looking for! my mandarin is very limited and i was not excited about trying to explain in vain what i wanted. *so in the end, i headed home a little frustrated.

i took the number 10 metro to siping road station, and then walked south along the west side of that street until i came to number 777, which had a huge sign above the building reading heting elite. *the doormen showed me to the elevator, and upstairs the lobby was filled with very serious looking employees in dark suits with walkie-talkies. *

the conversation upon arrival was minimal, i was simply asked "massage?", and then shown directly to the waiting room where i changed into bathrobe and slippers, then showered. *there was no discussion of price, although in a little box in the waiting room was a price list showing the general prices for facility use (minimum charge 198rmb), each 40 minutes of "body work" (300rmb), and a variety of prices for things like foot massages.

after showering i had to wait about 20 more minutes before a suit came to show me to my massage. to my surprise, i was not given a choice of girls, but was rather just shown the one i would have. *although i wasn't thrilled with her (#260) at first (short and curvy), i decided to just go with the flow and enjoy myself. *she led me to the room, undressed, and proceeded very quickly to a bbbj and fs. *i found her kissing especially good, and while she did not put on a fake show of enthusiasm with lots of noises (which i hate), she was very affectionate and enjoyable to be with. she turned out to have a great ass, nice big hairy bush, and small a-cups with fantastic small but very perky nipples.

Dear folks in Shanghai

This is probably will be my one and only post about mongering in Shanghai as I doubt I will get the chance to be there again at least within the next 3 years. Thus, all that is written here maybe do not conform to any general experience in the forum.

In my three days of visit, I dropped by Heting Elite Sauna, Shanghai Hotel Sauna, Golden 18, and Sarcosa.

Heting Sauna has the best facility of all in term of room ambience, neatness, cleanliness. And boy, the girl I picked sure aimed to please. Damage was 698 RMB. Pretty decent food and drink provided. Thats a plus.

Shanghai Hotel sauna is pretty much half legit. It was not something unpleasant to be scrubbed my old uncle as he probably scrubbed half kilo worth of dead skin from me. But I would love to if they at least forgo the policy of me being buck naked (I did cover up *ahem*). The selection then was a true disappointment. But the manicurist was a real professional and did good job (1st timer) albeit probably way too overpriced. Bottom line, did not have any good experience there.

Sarcosa has dank room for a start, and that left me with not so wonderful feeling. The girls... probably I had a bad timing thing. I have only average pick and not satisfying experience.

G18 sauna experience is way too overpriced for not so good soapie work. The room is huge though, and thats the only saving grace. The girl I picked is pretty good looking but not very good performer.

In all, the best sauna experince I had was in Heting.

A small note however. The whole china can remove the buck naked rule in Sauna. This is beside the report point. But I thought it is worth sharing.

The best sauna I ever had would be in Alexis Jakarta. They could do away with giving you shorts when you dip in and any number of towels you want to flung. And the girls... one I had sure perform like a porn star that really enjoys her work.

Hai Lang is at zhong Shan xi lu(west). Not as easy to get to. My first attempt, the cab driver didn't know how to go. I sugggest getting on the metro to shanghai indoor stadium. A more detailed report on Heting and Hailang

I just want to tidy up my previous report on Heting and Hailang. This maybe a bit of a rehash of what others have reported.

Sure, laowai most always pays the 'tax' ;) I haven't experienced a fixed time at BBS - I think they're usually in a hurry for two reasons:
1) production (after all, BBS is the McD of sex and volume is critcal to profitibility)
2) potential LE activity - BBS don't have the staff and maze of rooms to give you time to look 'legal' (i.e.- get dressed) should LE enter the facility. Most times even for FS, the girl doesn't completely disrobe

As Mike says there's no fixed time, though from my experience, you get just one pop and if you go for more than 20 min they start telling you to hurry up...unless she likes you.

Went to Hailang on Saturday early evening, around 6:30 PM. Relatively easy to find as per the previous instructions in the forum.

The atmosphere is a bit oldish, certainly clean enough but not luxurious. Attendants are very nice and polite (and numerous! There is someone greeting you every 3 meters). Another travel tip is to use Metro Line 9's Shangcheng Road station. Use exit 4 and walk east on Shangcheng Road, away from South Pudong Road. As I recall, you will pass a Marriott Apartment building on your right. Just pass that, turn right at the next driveway. Then, pass the Marriott building and turn right at the next alleyway. No. 1085 South Pudong Road is on your left. The address is written in large silver letters above the door. Walk in past the guards to the elevators at the back and go to the 5th floor.

If you absolutely don't want to do any research, why don't you try out the classified ad section of the China board. I recall at least one person offering tour guide service for a fee.

I am certain you can get Eng/ Chin addresses of all the major saunas. Just print/ copy them and get on a taxi.

Fast Eddie 48My understanding is that the crack down has nothing to do with the Expo. It's a directive directly from the central gov in Beijing. The use of wujin (people's armed police) is to ensure that there is no collusion between local law enforcement and various establishments.

The crack down is nationwide from Dongguan to Nanchang (in Jiangxi province) to Shanghai to Beijing.

If you search shao huang (sweep yellow) in Baidu, you will get a sense of enormous scope of this national crack down.

Not sure which exit is which as far as the metro station, but on the North East corner of Shagcheng and Pudong South Road is a metro station for line 9. Directly across Shangcheng from there is the set of buoldings under discussion. I have tried web service (such as craigslist).comments are that all photos are fake, and it is true, from my experience. Prices can be high, but the starting price for a massage is ok. From my experience, the scenario is always the same.

1) by phone, you discuss the price of the massage with a girl who speaks in good English and speaks as if she was coming to your place. This is a very limited discussion, as the priority is to send you a girl, because it is always more difficult to bargain when you have been waiting and that she is in your room.

2) A girl arrives who cannot really speak English. She can just say the price for a full service (she may start a legit massage before mentionning it). She should propose from 1500 to 3000 RMB. You should get 800-1200. At this point, the girl will call to say what you agreed with (the mamasan as a perccentage on this price, I think). This discussion on price can take a long time. I remember, agreeing on a simple HE at low cost. The girl started the massage and re-opened negociation after 15 minutes: be patient, your wallet will like it!

3) If you like the service, you can take her phone number for further use, to get a much better price, say 500-700 because you avoid the mamasan (but this requires some basic skills in Chinese).

I think that at 2) you could simply say 'no' with a convincing voice until the girl calls to say that you don't want more than a simple massage. I did not try, but I think that this should work.

A squad of officer's travel around and from what I can understand, this time the crackdowns suppose to be different.

They cooperate with different law enforcement organs to make the raids using undercover officers and, well I don't understand everything but its more in deep they go this time.

They hit hotels BBS, spa, sauna, bars, clubs, everything, even a Hilton Hotel is under an investigation in southern part of China

The campaign supposes to run over a 6-7 month period of time, and from what I can understand they are changing the tactics how to handles this in the future.

This info is out in the Chinese media, all over.

So what happens after I don't know, we just have to wait and see.

Can be that everything goes back to the way it was, or?

But its big money in this so the providers will find ways, they always do.

And from what I can understand they are in 1 place around 1 month, but I can be wrong.

Beijing was first out, but I haven't followed the Beijing thread so I don't know the situation there now, but I guess we will see the same time frame in the other city's that been hit.

alright, finally something to add. i just now got back from sacrosa, after all the research and posts about ways to find it. i learned a few things. first and foremost that being a security guard must be the best job in shanghai. i don't know what they make, but on the way up homeboy was just smiling, feet up on the desk, and says "number 5" in a very knowing manner. at least i look the part.
