In Shanghai last Friday. Called my contacts in Sauna and they all said that be careful at least till after November. Squad checking fairly often and the insiders from the force alert the sauna owners to lay low.

Can definitely confirm that SH is going on lockdown. Even the fake markets are feeling the heat. First time I've experienced that they try to negotiate price before running around for 10 minutes and bringing the goods (watches). Also KTV that I take friends from out of town were being checked by policia both days that we went. We waited till after they left and were able to still have fun but was definitely much more subdued and eveyone was a bit on edge.

Was wondering around South Station yesterday which I consider a pretty out of the way place to be as far as downtown Shanghai and where the police should be looking at. I finally managed to wander near my old 6F haunt near Jing'an. The elevator was dead and no security guard. Damn. Walked a bit further and noticed the Golden 18 doors were chained shut. I then decided to walk down towards the famous Shanghai Hotel. I had never been there, so I was curious to finally find it. I found it. Stupid me couldn't remember all the posts I had read a year ago about the place, so it took me a while to figure out that the spa was on the 3rd floor. Once I did. I would avoid a bar pickup as much as possible unless your taking her to her place or a non-hotel. I've heard a lot of rumors about the "normal" bars being staked out by cops, and those cops following the people leaving back to their home. If its at a hotel, or even if its not, they'll wait about 15 minutes, go in, ask what you room number is, and go to your room to question you. They'll prove that you two don't know each other by asking for your respective real names etc, remember this isn't exactly a innocent until proven guilty society.
Honestly, I didn't believe the rumors, but my associate who used to go to Hollywood in Beijing all the time for his little piece of Russia, had it happen to him and luckily the girl he was with was a regular who had been with him several times before and so knew the right answers. I've also had pleasure of the police knocking on my door at 1:00 AM for a "cursory" inspection which luckily resulted in them searching an empty room.

I would go to Parkway Health. Their phone number is 6445-5999 and they have about seven locations in Shanghai. They also speak English. Cost is going to be higher than a local doctor (which I have never gone to) but they're good and you can at least explain clearly what you want to them.

I've been primarily using a trusted service when the need takes me and I don't want to try hitting up some freebies at one of the local bars. Its just off of Yan An Road, about 5-10 min cab from jing an temple. They have various forms of Hiv test, the hiv dna test, the fast test and the long test. I had a bit of a freak out a couple years back, I can't remember the exact price, but none of the test cost more then 150 rmb, and pay the little extra cash for the VIP department. I think the test of everything under the sun is 3-400 rmb, I don't remember exactly.
Hua Shan Hospital just off of Urumuqi Lu also does STD testing, clinic is at end of the hall on 3rd floor. Fast hiv test is I think 50 rmb, and long hiv test is also 50 as well if I remember correctly, this was all about a year and a half ago since I was going to get checked due to freak out. And if you go early you get your results in about an hour but there is a bit of a queue. Weird thing is when your waiting in that queue you will see 60-70 year old Chinese men and women also getting hiv test, LOL, gee I wonder why. Its not something you see everyday.
Both these places are easily accessible, and you don't have to pay 10x the price at parkway health.

I went to the massage place behind the Radisson twice in the last week to help with jet lag. I don't have them pegged for FS. They give excellent massage and are probably quick enough to add a happy ending.
But. They have a sign on the wall to the effect that they are giving straight massage only, at least for a while (My interpretation, I can't read chinese.). Their real menu has the same item for 100 rmb more but you can't get that. Do the math.

Some info for those coming to SH during this crackdown. Seems like even the established massage/saunas are being very careful about who they let in. You'd essentially have to prove yourself to be a previous customer before they let you through the door. For example, the front desk of a place that I went to last year said they don't offer full service massage until another guy asked me a bunch of questions about which girl I visited. I'm thinking that if you look Asian, like me, it might help to speak some Japanese or Korean and pretend you're not Chinese, therefore they don't think you're some undercover cop. I'm not sure about this. I guess if you're white you'll be OK.
For the white folks though, it might not be a good time to visit BBS's if that's your thing. A lot of them are secretive about offering FS. For Asians, it might be slightly better, but you'd often have to accept their regular massage for 25-30 RMB before they kind of check you out and offer you FS. Stick with the expensive saunas.

I was distracted by a Craiglist girl who tried, "cheat the tourist" complete with being nothing like the picture and ten years older. I cooled off a bit and decided to go to Sacrosa, the real heaven on earth.
So not paying any attention I got into a cab with no license on the dash. When we got there this large soft looking driver pointed to 100 rmb. I got out my phone. It was too dark to take his picture and there was no license or picture in front.
I phoned a number I picked up from a legit taxi with an english sign saying call this if you have a taxi problem. The number is 962-288. After a preliminary robot saying press 1 for european languages a female english speaking voice came online.
I told her what was going on. She said, "That is against the rules. Would you like me to talk to him. " I said yes and gave him the phone.
He talked to her and put the phone down, gesturing for money. I handed him the 25rmb of my original offer. They never give up on how a tourist wants to avoid trouble. He showed me 50rmb on his calculator.
He still had my phone which gave him an advantage. I wanted to go to Sarcosa not have a street fight in rush hour. I gave him 30rmb and he opened the door.
After that things got better. I love Sarcosa and later got a burger and great phone number at Malones. In Puxi

The city is wide,
the taxi damn cheap.
the saunas (as long as still opened and not hit by police cracks) are well spreaded,
so personally I find hard to recommend.
Meybe the proximities of bars often mentioned here and alikes? if you are into picking up a girl at the bar and have an hotel nearby. That will certainly mean girls will run for a ST to go back and pick a 2nd or 3rd customer for the night, IMHO

Hi. I'll be in Shanghai in October. Sad to hear about the current crackdown. Can anyone tell me if it has effected the local knock shops. Those little shops with the red lights or the girls hanging out behind a curtained window. When you go in and pick a girl, usually for 200-33 rmb, they take you to a hidden room and then provide the wham-bam FS. However, some, once they get to know you, can provide a longer time GFE. gvI would recommend staying in Pudong, near the Dongchang Road or Century Avenue. You'll get the benefit of being near saunas such as Sacrosa, massage / bar zones such as Changyi Road, and bar district on Pudong Road. From there, you can also easily get on the metro Line 2 into central Shanghai. It seems that with the recent crackdowns, much of the effort has been in central Shanghai (Jing'an District), although some activity has remained in Pudong. Exceptions include Manhattan's bar near Tongren Road, in the central city.

First report. Been lurking on this board for a few years (FKK, Budapest, Netherlands) but I've only recently donated my $20 to Jackson mainly because of all the help the Shanghai/Guangzhou boards have been.
Was in Shanghai last week, staying at one of the big 5* hotels within walking distance from Manhattan/Malone's/Judy's. Arrived on Monday from Europe, seriously jetlagged. Decided to beat off the jetlag by going to Manhattan's. Serious mistake. Was drunk very quickly and decided to leave. One of the birds I'd been chatting to followed me out yapping on about how she would come to the hotel, give me a massage etc. Etc. I told her to go back but once she dropped her price to 500 RMB I agreed.
Big mistake. Remember I was both tired and drunk.
At the hotel we walked straight through the lobby. No-one stopped us, despite it was pretty obvious who was who & what. In the room I can recall taking off my clothes, she taking a shower and then rambling on about 500 Euro, not 500 RMB. In my drunken stupour I pulled my wallet from the hotel safe and gave her a few more RMB. Next thing I recall is we're in a 69. In my mind's eye this went on for ages. And finally at one point I came. I was drifting in and out of a drunken jetlag sleep all the way through.
I recall her getting dressed and walking out. Woke up next morning with a start. Opened the hotelroom safe and. She'd cleaned me out. I had about 4000 RMB, $100, GBP 150 in my wallet. All gone. She left all credit cards, watch and passport. In the bathroom she had swiped all my condoms, aftershave, razor and razor blades. *****! She must have seen me type the number combination of the safe. I felt so stupid! Kicked myself hard! Went back to Manhattans the next three nights but no sign of her.
The next night I picked up a girl from Guangzhou in Malone's. She was in Shanghai on a 4 month permit. Nice figure, great rack, high cheekbones, perhaps some Russian blood. Wanted 1500 RMB, we settled for 1200 RMB. Went to the hotel, where she showed me an entrance which allows you to slip upstairs out of view of reception. Very clever, have to remember that for next time. She stayed the whole night, from around midnight until 10:00 am Was a real GFE. We did it twice that night and I woke up to a handjob. On the way out she asked for taxi money. I asked how much and she told me (laughing) 200 RMB. I asked whether she was taking a taxi back to Guangzhou, and gave her 50 RMB for her efforts. Btw, I always use the safe when they are in the shower, or otherwise just ask them to go into the bathroom. It's a tiny cost of mood (if at all,) but the habit ensures I never lose my passport, computer, phone, etc., which would be unthinkable.

First, let me say that the quality of talent out and about on Tuesday night was amazing. I am not sure where all the local gals were headed to get their holiday started but they looked good going there!
Went to xintandi for a drink fairly early and found that a few of the Manhattan crowd have now decided to take up residence in the bars in xintandi. I spoke with a couple and they said that is give them an opportunity to be a "new face" in the crowd and if things don't work out they move to Manhattan later. It's a nationwide campaign that from what understand have a central BJ task force that travels around the country to educate about the new ways to stop this hobby.
And if I have got this correct it's a 10year plan they have launched, but I can have misunderstood that.

Dongguan have 30% drop in hotel bookings, many towns is almost shut down and our Chinese hobby friend don't go out and play.
I found info that SH was about to get hit 1-2 weeks before it actually happened, so it would be interesting to know if it is true that BJ starting to open up.
This campaign have nothing to do with us foreigners, our contribution is so small you can't count that,
Many of our Chinese friends think that this will go on to next year; others to national holyday and then all of this will slowly fade away, but some think it's going to be a major change.

Hey, I wannna report here what happened yesterday night in manhattan bar.
I was sitting inside with a friend when a pretty nice ass from Cambodia came.

Certainly 2000 LT is well out of the range of what you should expect from Manhattan. And then coming back to pour beer on you? I suggest you take the Maglev (60 RMB, or 100 RMB round trip) to the terminus at Longyang Station. From there, you can take a taxi to Sacrosa. That might be your best bet right now. Read the forum for directions, but it is near the Dongchang Road station on metro Line 2, which you can access from Longyang Station. (Alternatively, you can take Metro Line 2 directly to Longyang Station from Pudong Airport, but it will take much longer than Maglev.)
If that doesn't work, there are many massage places near the Pudong Avenue station. Transfer at Line 2's Century Avenue station (take Line 2 from Pudong, or take the maglev to Longyang Road and transfer there to Line 2) to Line 4. One station to the north. Take exit 1, and walk past the Eton Hotel to your right. At the next intersection, turn right at Changyi Road (heading east), and you'll see lots of massage places and bars on the left side of the road. All will offer you rub and tug for an extra 100 to 200 RMB, depending on your negotiating.
Good luck! Things are changing quickly in Shanghai due to the World Expo, but you should definitely be able to find some fun in the time allotted.

Now in Shanghai, you can get a 24-hour transit visa to allow you into the city. Well, from most civilized countries, that is. There is nothing near the Airport. I suggest you take the Maglev (60 RMB, or 100 RMB round trip) to the terminus at Longyang Station. From there, you can take a taxi to Sacrosa. That might be your best bet right now. Read the forum for directions, but it is near the Dongchang Road station on metro Line 2, which you can access from Longyang Station. (Alternatively, you can take Metro Line 2 directly to Longyang Station from Pudong Airport, but it will take much longer than Maglev.)Sacrosa is a winner and easy to get to. Take the maglev as above to get to Century Ave station on line 2 (not to be confused with Century Park, they are close to each other but very different). Take exit 1 out of the station, this will put you on Century Ave facing northwest. Directly ahead as you come out at about the 11:00 position is the Intercontinental Hotel (brown and gold building and fairly easy to see). Walk to this hotel so that you are on the corner of Laoshan and Zhangyang.
You now want to walk along Zhangyang road along the hotel and keep going past it (you should see on your right a large plaza with, among other things, a 7-11). Walk 1 block to the next major intersection (clarifying point, there is a smaller intersection before Pudong South which would force you to walk under a Costa Coffee and Best Buy. This is the wrong street, keep going), which is Pudong Nan Lu (Pudong South Road). There is a mall called Next Age on this corner, and the opposite corner is one called Time Square.
Turn right and walk about 400 yards, just past the end of the mall is a Haagen-Dazs, and just after that you can go to the right in between another two shopping malls. Here you will see a fountain and behind that a bunch of very distinctive statues (a few animals and superheroes like Superman, Batman, etc.) As you walk toward these statues from Pudong South Road, veer left between the two buildings, keeping the Steak King on your right. The next entrance into the tower on the right will have a large (20' diameter) circular window above the door, and there should be a security guard. As you walk in, he will likely look at you and say "5th floor" which is where you want to go.
Go in the elevator to the 5th floor, you will walk into a very dark area that leads you to the right. From there just follow directions and you will soon be overwhelmed with hot women to the tune of 680RMB for 70 minutes. Specific reviews and stories of what to expect can be found elsewhere in the forum.

Shanghai Hotel 2nd floor sauna closed today when visited in the afternoon.
I just came back from the Sauna in Pudong mentioned several times earlier (you can find out by reading the previous post). I went there around 10pm and it was business as usual, but very quiet, with very few people. In fact, when I arrived, I was the only one taking shower. That was great, because I had a bigger selection. There were around 20 girls to choose from, with look ranging from 6 to 9. I picked up one sweet Guangdong girl that was smiling at me and was very happy with my choice.

You now want to walk along Zhangyang road along the hotel and keep going past it (you should see on your right a large plaza with, among other things, a 7-11). Walk 1 block to the next major intersection (clarifying point, there is a smaller intersection before Pudong South which would force you to walk under a Costa Coffee and Best Buy. This is the wrong street, keep going), which is Pudong Nan Lu (Pudong South Road). There is a mall called Next Age on this corner, and the opposite corner is one called Time Square.
Turn right and walk about 400 yards, just past the end of the mall is a Haagen-Dazs, and just after that you can go to the right in between another two shopping malls. Here you will see a fountain and behind that a bunch of very distinctive statues (a few animals and superheroes like Superman, Batman, etc.) As you walk toward these statues from Pudong South Road, veer left between the two buildings, keeping the Steak King on your right. The next entrance into the tower on the right will have a large (20' diameter) circular window above the door, and there should be a security guard. As you walk in, he will likely look at you and say "5th floor" which is where you want to go.
Go in the elevator to the 5th floor, you will walk into a very dark area that leads you to the right. Today, went to try Heting for the first time. A bit far away from the city center, and does not look like a sauna from outside, but managed to find it. It is opened and in operation. When I entered, I acted like I was familiar with the place. The guy asked me whether I knew the price, I said yes. Then he took me to the locker where I undressed and proceed to the shower.
The site is higher scale than the one in Pudong (which is the same boss by the way) with nicer room and prettier girl. When I was there around 9:30pm, no many people, but busier than the one in Pudong. Saunas in general don't close. Not for national holiday, not even for CNY, only less girls and early closing for one day. It is pretty unusual for the manager to tell you to come back. Same experience, but almost a year ago. New management just came in then and the current madness was still a distance away. Staff used to be friendly and on the ball. Not so as the new staff didn't know nor care about your satisfaction. I should have told the front desk who I wanted but instead got one of the kids to do it for me. It was no problem before but this time I ended up waiting a solid hour in a smoke filled room with half a dozen punters. Was shown the kind of line up FA had. Ended up just leaving and had to folk out the 88 RMB.

I have to concur with your report. I have been going there for 3+ yesars as well and the service etc from mgmt seems to be heading south. Although I had a good visit the last few times, I can see how it can go bad at the drop of the hat. for 550 though, its still a good value for the 90 mins provided the girl corporates, lol

Sorry for the late reply, missed your note. From the ICH to Sacrosa is about 5-10 min walk. You just go straight out past the taxi area (main door) not out to the street, but rather down the stairs between the bushes. Turn right onto a double lane pedestrian walkway. That walkway goes all the way to Sacrosa, crossing one street along the way. Gets really dark in some areas but I still felt all safe doing the New York "I'm on a mission" walk through it :) After you cross the street it gets real dark, but you're just about there, entrance is around to the right. Search the forum, the google map is accurate in map-view but not satellite view.

Visited Heting at the end of my trip here. #289, good attitude, 70 minutes 698 at 8pm. Heting was very easy to find from the nearby metro station. Up to the 3rd floor, change into robe, shower, dry off, back into robe, relax in chair a bit, off to lineup of like 20 (ugh so many), picked 289, off thru the maze to a room, nice room mirrors all around, bed, no bath/wet area, massage, partial cat bath until I got bored and stopped her, on to the fun stuff, BBBJ, cfs, multiple positions, finished doggy, relaxed, hot stones brought in, relaxed with massage, too tired (battling a cold) to do anything more, so just ran the clock out relaxing. When I mentioned in my other report that Heting was better than Sacrosa -- I made a mistake. I must have gone to Hailang my first time and that is still my favorite. So be clear, ranking IMHO: Hailang #1; Heting #2; Sacrosa #3. Hailang was the only one with soapy/nuru massage by the way. Pretty fun experience, much better than the cat-bath crap.
Rain has a posting in the classified section. I met with her in my hotel. She was attractive, tall, and had a nice body. To bad I was only in town for one nite.

i've held off writing about this place because of all the fanfare associated with the expo in shanghai.
sauna places in shanghai that might have been considered to have too high a profile (merrylin, across from the intercontinental pudong; golden 18; shanghai hotel; or 999 just to name a few) started having potty opening patterns or were closed pending further notice.
may other locations have remained open and have either limited their service offerings to asians, or in the case of say, sacrosa / heting (same owner) have continued to operate.
it seems reasonable to think that if a sauna is "asked" to close, then the message will get delivered and they will comply.
accordingly, i've stopped trying to figure out why a place is open or closed. it either is, or it isn't.

recently there's been a lot of talk about the decline in service at sacrosa. i agree. it's just not what it used to be. with somewhere around 20 rooms and limited waiting areas, it's annoying to be told that the wait is 15 minutes and be sitting there an hour later -- especially in a smoke-filled room.
with 999 being temporarily out of play, and the shanghai hotel downstairs (wet-lands) uncertain, many fans and first-timers to the world of nuru nuru wet land slip-and-slide have had limited choices.

no more than 5-10 minutes by taxi from the sofitel jin jiang oriental, pudong at 889 yang gao nan lu
this place is better described as a massive sauna complex wrapped in a boutique business hotel. to the average onlooker – or guest – you see nothing more that a trendy boutique hotel with relatively high room prices. ground floor has a very cool little bar that not normally crowded, somewhat quiet, and not normally filled with smoke. the reception desk is just that: a desk over to the right side of the lobby.
the somewhat-trained monger-eye would notice something a little bit interesting: the hotel lobby sign that calls out locations of the hotel's rooms, gym, and other facilities does not have any thing listed on the 2nd floor. a quick trip up the staircase to the right and one finds nothing more that a stair well that continues upward and a pair of locked unmarked doors on what should be the second floor. walking back down to the lobby – and looking upward- there is in fact a high ceiling that could easily extend to second-floor height. it's entirely possible that floor two is office space for administrative staff and cleaning crews.
but, the monger's mental radar continues flashing. at which point a quick question is in order for the door guy.
yep. monger radar correct: there is a sauna, and the entrance is outside the building on the front left (off to the side from the main entrance). there are no signs or other markings. note: you cannot access the sauna from inside the hotel lobby or its elevators.
inside you'll find a reception desk where they'll ask if you want massage. if yes, price is 780 rmb for 90 minutes.
changing area is very nice and quite clean. shower area is large, with individual semi-circular shower stalls that are hand tiled. locker attendants are helpful but not overbearing. all the products they have on had are fleshly stocked and clean. (not rather lame in places like 968 sauna on pudong avenue across from the office bar.) they have very large dry sauna that is, well, one of largest i've seen. most places have smaller dry saunas, but not this place. in fact, the entire shower / dry sauna area layout is expansive. you don't feel cramped, rushed, or prodded and pushed around like a cattle drive, as sometimes happens at sacrosa.
following the shower they have a platform (built up wooden floor) dry off area which works quite well. pajamas are issued and away you go…down the stairs.
after descending the stairs you quickly realize that you're in a massive below-ground rest area. huge is an understatement. probably 20-25 resting rooms. each with no more than three lounge chairs. big tv on the wall. the hallway must be 50 meters long. there are two, perhaps thee service counters along the length of the hallway. it is not crowded, as they can spread the guests along the length of the hallway.
after ordering a tea, i chatted with the hammer commander who is from dongbei. he's friendly guy who has been in shanghai for six years and had a lot of interesting insight on all things local. (note: unlike bob at heting, he speaks no english.)
after our chat we proceeded down the hall to far end where he paused and took out a secure key card and slid it through the lock activator. green light…go! door swings open and….big line up of girls. probably 35-40. big fucking room that's bright and well lit. it's packed with girls along the back wall. though i can't prove it, i be willing to wager that some of these girls are form 999, though it's only a (slightly educated) guess.
many different outfits on the girls. there was no standard uniform. . i picked a girl who looked like a slutty librarian dressed in a kind of leopard spot outfit. had the glasses to match the look and all. no need for a fully detailed blow-by-blow of the wet area service ...but...then again... the service followed a standard wet lands format, e.g., shower, sit on the cracked-ass stool, space probe of your leather cheerio (bung hole wash with her index finder), lay plastic on table using tag-team approach to save time and speed things along, break out the nuru nuru happy liquid and play "slide for life" with enough gel for a sumo wrestler, hard-grind pussy scrub, repeat hard-grind pussy scrub (need to feel the tingling), pussy straddle scrub on each leg, a.k.a, ride the stick pony, ride up and down ass mountain several times, ass squiggle on back, grip-and-flip over, more "slide for life", face-to-face action with simulated canyon glide, nipple lick'n, dick sucking, a round of "69 and try to grab that ass", followed by wash off and shift to dry area.

in summary, this is a well-conceived place. it still reminds me of a massive sauna wrapped in a boutique hotel, but then again, they do have very trendy (and high priced) rooms if you like that kind of place for your stay in shanghai (as opposed to the big traditional 5 star hotels).
given all the closings and lack of wet land opportunities, this place is worth a try. one thing for sure, you won't have to wait in a smoke filled room for an hour with other punters like has been happening recently at sacrosa.

Gonna give you guys a break from all the Heting/Sacrosa/Manhattan reports, seems like no one's venturing out anymore. But anyway I can't mention the name of this place, other than to say that it's a hotel + sauna that been reported on ISG before. I went there last year, but now, probably due to the crackdown, its services have gone dark except for those they trust. I booked a room in the hotel for several weeks and for the first two weeks, every time I attempted to get into their sauna, they say it's under renovation. I even pointed out that I'm a hotel guest. For starters, this place is not easy to access. Some drivers would simply tell you that that Longyang and Jinxiu East simply don't cross in this area. But if you mention to the driver it is next to a Saab 4s store, then most taxi drivers from Pudong will know what you are talking about. This is a generalization from my experience.
Service from this place is usually superb, and the best thing about it is almost minimal waiting time, and you are almost always given an exclusive resting room. However, there were signs that this place is getting more and more popular toward July. The last time I've been there was the end of July.

Even places where are very visible, which you assume to have enough "guanxi" to coexist peacefully with law enforcement, would still occasionally run into trouble.
Sometimes this is due to jurisdictional concerns. Guess what brought down the glorious Ji Yuan group overnight? Yes, they probably paid off all the local police stations. But Shanghai has more than 1 district, and strangely enough, some of the more important roads in Shanghai are being covered by more than one jurisdiction. The word on the street is that they were raided by a different precinct which they thought didn't cover their area. The alternative theory is that the competition paid off the other district to do the raid.
High ranking police officers are often political appointees that could change overnight. So paying once doesn't protect you forever, and it is possible that there are some who won't take the money.
Even places that seem to maintain good relationships with the cops are subject to occasional raids when the cops need to make numbers. One of my favorite ladies quit from 999 because she was almost busted during a unannounced inspection. My client's boss, a Malaysian Chinese, spent 4 days in jail when he was caught during a raid at Southern. (He paid 50,000 RMB to get him out of that cell and make the arrest record disappear)

Agree 100%, the authorities know what's going on everywhere. No need to 'monitor' ISG, laoweis, or any other such things. After Applecrate's awesome description of Bodi, I had to try it out. It is everything as described by AC. A couple more points...
1. We drove out to Bodi and parked the car out back. The car was initially parked in the first level of a three level parking structure. When we finished our session, we came back out and was surprised to find the car hanging at the top level of the structure. However, they do not charge us any extra for the sitting fee, and generally they are 4000 to 6000 for take home. A buddy and I once pulled a couple of them for free out of Jin Bi (a high end KTV on Huai Hai lu.)
I don't doubt at all that there exists exactly what you describe above (I've heard of this but never seen it,) and perhaps what I'm thinking of here is a middle tier. My experience is that this is true...sort of. With some of the guys I roll with who are KTV frequenters in SH (3-5 times per week most weeks for several years,) we get these types in our room almost every time. However, they do not charge us any extra for the sitting fee, and generally they are 4000 to 6000 for take home. A buddy and I once pulled a couple of them for free out of Jin Bi (a high end KTV on Huai Hai lu.)
I don't doubt at all that there exists exactly what you describe above (I've heard of this but never seen it,) and perhaps what I'm thinking of here is a middle tier. Since none of us are looking for xiao tai tai's, maybe that's why we always end up in this tier ...but I really don't know for sure since I never asked.
Btw, regarding "high end," personally I and several friends have enjoyed from time to time working on the mama's. When we score, which is a low hit proposition but it happens, we never need to pay anything ... it's just good times had by all.

I have been to KTV a couple of times with "well connected" local punters and saw the girls I mentioned. One of these KTVs was a private club. The girls were all stunners and they had been booked in advance by the punters. I was asked what type of girl I liked and the mama brought a custom line-up for me. I am not sure if any of these girls came from the private stock or not but they were better than what I saw roaming the halls when we first arrived. The line-up were all in the 9 category, 170+, perfect bodies, etc. In all these cases, the girls would not go out with me. I was a guest so I don't know how much the sitting fee was. Not even really necessary to talk to the mamas; just interview a few girls, find one you like, take her out (or don't) from the KTV, and in either case get her number.
However, bear in mind that the Chinese way is to sponsor these girls, so if you really want a reliable "one" then you will have to consider doing that. Otherwise, just meet several, put their numbers in your book, and keep in light touch with them.
A better option might be to just be really nice to a good mama and get her number and she'll send you girls. I've done that numerous times with generally very good results.
Finally, going back to the initial post, I'd say that by FAR the best place to find Chinese stunner/model types is Macau. No comparison anywhere else in China.
HK also has plenty of high end escorts and services, even some lower end of high end listed on 141 and similar sites ... but for the real high end everyone just goes to Shenzhen or Macau since it's so much better value.
Anyway, I'm rambling and a bit off topic here. Point is, if you want stunners, go to Macau. If you and in SH and want stunners, go to KTVs and get several contacts, including contacts of good mamas. About a year ago, I ended up at a huge KTV. The street (sorry I don't remember) was full of them, big neon signs, quite a sight. The place was huge with an open atrium and several floors surrounding the open atrium area. I think there was some sort of gold dragon statue in the middle.
I was pretty impressed going in. We met up with some friends that were already drinking there. Unfortunately it was pretty late, around 11pm.
We were sent three sets of girls, all were pretty mediocre. I ended up with one, but didn't find out until the end of the time that she was "bu fan bien". Meaning she didn't go out with customers. But took her out for dinner the next day, and got what I wanted in the end. She wasn't the most beautiful and became quite clingy, so I dropped her quickly.

This new sauna is the replacement for the Royal Silver Spring Sauna which closed over a year ago and was located in the Hengsheng Peninsula Hotel at 205 Wusong Lu. It is operated by the same Guangdong-Hong Kong based entertainment group.
Though their other sauna locations are somewhat discrete, as they focus on the local community, this new facility is situated in an area to host a cross section of clients.
It remains to be seen if this new facility can maintain the same level of service they were previously noted for. However, many of the workers and two of the Hammer Commanders used to work at the Wusong Lu location. They know the business and understand the service product that the entertainment company tries to deliver.
As before, the new sauna continues to use a server system. They believe that it's the job of the Hammer Commander to know the customer, listen to feedback, and make and appropriate selection which is delivered to the massage room. Naturally, if you don't like the selection you can have the Hammer Commander exchange her. Alternately, you can ask for a line-up from start. IN this case they will put two or three girls in the room for you to choose from. This in fact is normally the best option for the newcomer, at least until you get a girl you like. At that stage, the Hammer Commander should be able to know other girls who might fit the client's requirements. The key to a place like this in the beginning is patience in finding the right 'fit' with the girl, which can often take longer (more trips) than sauna's using large-scale line up. But once you do get dialed in, a place like this often be more relaxing that several other venues which always seem to have a hurried-up meat grinder feel.

The new sauna's Hammer Commanders continue to know quite a bit about the girls on staff. In the past this company used a ranking system for the girls in order to avoid customer service issues. For example, as I wrote before, they "segregate[d] the girls according to those who could service foreigners, and those who could not. In this way, they avoided the issue of "size complaints" from the customers".
They still know who the "skills" girls are, though I'm not sure how many are on the staff in the new place, unless some have come over from the other venues. Typically the "skills girls" have "had [a] proven performance over a significant time period [that] could be verified through customer feedback".
Other things that remain the same include Mama Trainer (whose twin sister is one of the skills girls…naturally. And no, they don't do tag team matches. One of them is the trainer and the other is a skills girl at another location. Not the best looker to be sure, the "twin skill girl" is only a 7 at best. But she wins a prize for technical skill.)
Opening routine remains the same with a playful little dance in the costume of month. day'. In the past they have used (paraphrased from previous post) "Flight Attendant suits, maid outfits with kinky feather duster; a vixen look with a corset and black fishnet stockings. Currently, they hare using there little white pseudo-bunny outfits with a cute little hat and fingerless gloves.
Following the dance they pull out this special knee pad and go straight into their signature BBBJ which is, well, quite effective. The signature blow job is standardized thanks to Mama Trainer. It features lot of tongue action and a head-twisting motion that is also, well, very effective.
From there, you can go all-out or go with the flow and they will go through a short scripted routine. However, this is not the norm. They are more free-flowing in their approach than Heting or Sacrosa.
Ninety minutes is still the allotted time and total damage is RMB700.
The facilities in the new sauna are very nice. As good – if not slightly better – than Heting. The shower area is really great. They also have a nice selection of juices available along with fruits and food items in the dip pool area, which is medium size (by design) as they want to present a small club-like atmosphere. (As compared to the massive facility at Bodi's Wet Lands.) They have a total of 27 massage with electronic temperature control, pretty good music, and these "angled-massage beds" that add to the fun. Mirrors and lighting are really cool as well.
In summary, like most new facilities of this time, it will probably take some time to get established. Yet, given this entertainment company's track record for service delivery, it might not take as long as some others do.

I've just returned from a couple of months in Shanghai - and only discovered Datong Mill on my last night. As it was a Tuesday it was dead - but wondered if anyone had any views or FR's?
I have yet to go to Datong Mall/Mill when it isn't dead. Granted, most of the times it's been on a weekday evening, but there's never anything going on. (Save the Chinese club at the west end, but I'm not going to subject myself to the excruciating sounds of hip hop blasted at high decibels...) Kind of sad to see the hostesses hanging outside the bars, playing cards, begging for business. At least it's easy to negotiate cheap happy hour prices, especially if you're with a few friends! Probably my favorite bar of those I've been to is Woodstock. Stay away from LA Club -- greedy girls working there.
It seems that most bars are just "talking girl" bars, where you can buy the hostesses drinks. If you're looking for evening company, you're better off to go to the other places mentioned in this forum (Manhattan, for example).

Party World Ktv is a good place to start with. I usually go to the one on 459 north Wulumuqi Lu. I don't know where you usually stay in SH but I think they got 4 or 5 other locations. The other one I know, is in Xujiuhui located on the infamous Tianyaoqiao lu near Linling Lu. You'll probably find a location near you if you google it.
The one place you absolutely do NOT want to go to is Party World. That is not a KTV ...it's a family-safe karaoke place.

As we all know the sauna at wuzhong road has been closed. But there is a smilar place to wuzhong road. it's by lianhua and yishan road. It's about 10-15 minutes working from Metro 9 from one of the station stops. I would think it's about a 40-50RMB taxi from Jin An Si area. I was reading to see if anyone has posted this place but it seems no one has.

If it's the Hilton 20 mins out of town by the water, nice upmarket hotel but no action I think. There's the hotel massage (closes 9 pm as I recall) or in-room which I haven't tried but is likely to be the usual crazy price upsell at best.
Wuxi is pretty dead in general IMHO.

Zhongtian (not Zhonglian) is now Xinghe. Address is 86 XianXia Road. Location is across the street from Sheraton Hongqiao (corner of Zunyi Road and Xianxia Road) in the Maxdo Plaza (B1).
Was closed during recent crackdown but is now back in business. Same owner and a few of previous girls are also back.
Good service as always.
Can confirm this information and it's still open. Entrance is round the back of the Maxdo Plaza building if you come from the Sheraton side; don't be put off by the rough-looking passage down the stairs as the place itself is small but clean and tidy enough. Line-up of 6 or 8 girls, service OK+. Another guy and I went out in search of trouble tonight, feeling a little stiff in the shoulders opted to try a different massage place than the one last week. Again went along Weifang Road, this time to the east of Pudong Nan Lu. Right on this corner are about 4 MPs, and another three on the west side of Pudong Nan. Went to the one closest to Pudong Nan Lu on the north side of Weifang because they had the hottest girls.
Presented a rather unclear menu of options, was directed toward the Spa option, with a choice of 80 or 90 minutes, with 90 minutes being 368, while the 80 minute option was 278 (may have been 288). So thinking the 90 minute option was an all inclusive package, we went that route.
Spa in this place means a bath in a little tub, girl scrubs you, then out of the tub and onto the table for a typical oil massage. Massage was not bad, and my shoulders really were messed up from a 14 hour day working. After the back moved to the ass, then the legs, then really got into the ass, then told to flip over. Proceeded to ask for 500 for HE, I thought for a minute I was in the fakes market. She was also offering a knee thing for 600. I was countering at 200 and 300, and she was not moving.
So she moved on to other areas, came back after a while a reopened negotiations, but still no movement, finally came down to 400 for HE and 500 for the knee thing. So, I finally made it out to Siping station. I took the line 10 route but forgot about the little line 1 interchange walk. Line 8 would have been better. Regardless, I got there.

So, I ventured back out into the rain this evening and decided to have a closer look at the girl in that massage joint I reported (directions to seniors in PM).
Today my luck ran dry and not only that, I was stupid again. The girl was ok, but definitely NOT the same calibre as the cutie I met the other night. I wandered afterward towards some food and found a few interesting prospects I'll check out another night. One was off on a small side street near home and was packed with, what I could tell from afar, better calibre girls than what I had just "enjoyed". Hi there,
When I am in shanghai, I know a place for nice massage place with happy ending (HJ).
This place is called footbathclub and its location is in Baoshan district, at the crossing of Mudanjiang lu (牡丹江路) and baoyang lu (宝杨支路).
You can have massage for an hour for a price around 100 RMB (japannese massage is 98, another one is 118,...). While she massages you, when you lay on your chest, she will massage your butt and between your legs, also "play" a little bit with your willy. Depending on you, she will ask if you wish HJ. This will cost you 100 RMB to give her directly, not at the cashier when you will pay for massage.
Warning: girls don't speak english.
Good point: Most of girls I saw there are young and pretty. Not beauties, but cute anyway. No fatties. And depends on you and the girl, she can also offer you to leave with you for the night (one asked me something like 500 or 600 RMB) and bring her to your hotel for the night.

Crack down continues in Shanghai as Expo winds down.
I am a regular at Xinhe (was the old Zhong Tian) below Maxdo Plaza and my regular girl there told me that most saunas in Shanghai are either closed or operating at reduced hours (e. G., Xinhe is closed BTW 7. 10PM except for regulars).
No idea if things will lighten up after the Expo. So everyone be safe out there.

Went there on saturday around 1045PM and it was almost empty, only guys and a few girls. It was soaking ran outside and I thought this has prevented the girls to come. However after 1130PM the pace started to get packed with more girls. The quality seems to be mixed, low compared to my previous visits. I think you being ripped off. 600 for ST and 1000 LT is doable with little or no negotiating (of course a few girls may refuse). maybe its because you're to selective or arriving to early, try going after midnight.
