Not to be disrespectful, but I really don't understand why anyone would want to pay nearly $185usd for a Pilipino girl in China.
Based on today's current conversion rate. 1,200rmb = $184. 42usd.
IMHO, I would say this is way above market rate.
I would appreciate if someone would explain this to me.
MABMy experience is that when you do a LT take out at a bar / KTV its usually higher. I remember that I had friends who takes out elites at txrg KTV for 2k+. But it definitely depends on your negotiation skills. With that said, there is a bare min, and we all hope to get to that number unless she falls for your charm and its free. :)
I have taken out hot bbs girls before for about 800 for LT. But have not done so for a while, so maybe it a bit more now.
I have also tried feet wash girls, they will do it for free or min charge, but I always offer to buy them some stuff.

Near People's Square, you can take subway line to Donchang Road and go to Sacrosa. Gather some data from ISG because the place is hidden at the 5th floor of a business building. Bodi can also be a good solution because it's easier to find, as you can see on my previous report, I recently went to Waves and really liked it but it's maybe a little bit too far from you.
Avoid all the massage parlors in the People's Square area because it's a tourist spot: some are legits and others will just rip you with a HJ for 1000+RMB (you will start with a 1 hours 300rmb something massage and the girl will try to make you add two more hours). In the same area, many people will ask if you want a "sex massaji", refuse politely, most of them are scams. Also, the usual recommendation: avoid Craigslist and other classified websites if you don't want end up with some way too expensive ugly girl.
As a long stayer here, I just would like to say to all the tourists coming to Shanghai, ISG provides comprehensive information regarding spas, BBS, massage parlors, their location, their price and all the dos and don'ts. If you don't follow everything gathered here and accept what we recommend here to refuse, then service will get worse but price will increase, what can be ok for tourists on holidays is not for settlers. Mock a Bee just gave a report about a BBS but doesn't want to share its location for this reason and I totally understand him.
Before I discovered this website I got ripped more than often (this is why I had so many bad experiences and can tell you about all the scams near People's Square) , now that I regularly read it, I have better mongering experiences. So I just recommend you to read previous reports and gather all the information you will need to get to one place and then, just enjoy your stay here.
By the way, I'm not really into Southern Asians so I've never been to Manhattan.
Staying at the JW Marriott at Tomorrow Square on Nanjing Road.

That's the going rate here. You pay it or go home alone. Of course you can get a pinay for less in the PH yadda yadda but Shanghai is not SEA. I could go to PH and get it cheap but add in plane fare and hotels and I would be well above the US$185 it cost me here. Further, I can't make even 1/3 of what I earn in Shanghai if I worked inPH and that's if I could even find a job in my profession there. Economics 101? And yes, I can go to a BBS for a 200rmb fcuk but there's a big difference between that and taking a girl home for an all nighter.

Anyone who goes with a tout is a fool. No matter what they say or what price they advertise, they can't be trusted. This has been said on this forum pretty much FOREVER.
The chances of getting set up is very high, and nearly impossible to figure out if you are being set up before it is too late. You risk physical harm if you don't empty your wallet. Some people on this forum have even reported being strong armed into pulling money out of an ATM.
This goes for the Tea House Scam, the Buy me a beer Scam, the Sauna Scam, the Hottie for the too good to be true price Scam, the I am Learning English will you practice with me Scam, the I am an Art Student come see my artwork Scam, etc. You name it, it has been used as a line to draw you to a place where thugs will threaten to beat the living crap out of you. It simply isn't worth the risk. There are way too many safe options for pros not to mention freebies, to bother with the risk of a tout.
If you don't heed this advice, I hate to say it but you deserve what you get.
MABI posted about being in such a predicament. If you are not a wussy and are well built and know how to fight then just don't let them intimidate you. Even the pla trained guys can't fight in a real brawl. If 6 of these 'thugs' walk into your room, then only if they have knifes or a gun will the force equation be unbalanced against your favour.
Those girls are there to sit, play games and drink with you. Your expected to tip them when you want to leave. You can negotiate to take them out but don't know current costs.Well anyone have a ballmark idea? They are so hot I think 2000rmb would be a reasonable 'starting' price.

I decided to follow my fellow mongers advices and tried waves on Zhongshan road. First of all, do not trust Google map, it will just mislead you. You can find clear indications on ISG.
I've been living in Shanghai in a while and I like to go to massage places with HE. Occasionally, I'll go to Sacrosa, I tried Bodi once but didn't like to have a camera in front of my head. Because I was in the area, I wanted to give Waves (Hailang) a try. And, oh man! What a sweet idea!

I went over to waves tonight, but found that it was closed today. Grabbed a taxi over to the chengjiaqiao area. It was 1:00am when I got over there. Most of the places were either closed today or closed at this time, but a couple places far in the back were still going. I would say rule 0 is not to get married. So, as long as you follow rule 0, you can skip rule 1 in most cases. I know a lot of guys who keep 1 or 2 gals on the side, like pay their rent and provide spending money for 1-1. 5 years and rotate the girl out once he had his fill with her. (great for booty calls) Hey, these guys were in love, but as long as you keep mongering you will find new love and then move on. If you just fall in love and don't go out anymore. You will have a much greater chance of violating rule 0 and rule 1.

Last year around this time it was also on a night like this which I was denied entry into 999. The manager was standing in front of the door and told me the water heater is not working (his expression suggests that is not the real reason, it seems more like he was WAITING for someone). He first suggested me to go to Southern, I replied Southern is too far from home. Then he went in and got me a card with Bodi's address on it, that is how I got to know Bodi.

First trip to Sauna was Bodi last Sunday afternoon. Boy was I sweating bullets (first time going to a sauna anywhere) and had second thoughts more than once about turning back. I'm glad I didn't! Changed, showered, was brought to the waiting area downstairs with a two other Chinese guys and the staff said they would help "&23433; &25490; ' ("arrange") in a little bit. Still feeling nervous at this point BUT I have to say, Bodi is really 'posh' and the lights are comfortably dimmed, which helps. After about five minutes or so, was brought with the other guys to the lineup down the hall.
15-20 girls walked out, standing essentially right in front of you. It was a bit awkward as I hadn't done this before. The average employee at a retail store only makes 10 rmb an hour. They usually work 10-12 hours a day. Monthly about 1600-2000. 7k RMB per month is a great wage, most retail store managers make $5k. So your friend makes a great wage and gets some exercise with it.

KTV Are part of the asian entertainment culture and are not to' be rated as brothels.
On the other hand look at the services you get from sauna in 3 to 5 star hotels.
Having said that I never recommend a KTV for a guy alone.
You have to be a party of 4 or more. Then you can have fun.
A KTV experience is a mix of singing, drinking, snacks, playing surrounded by nice girls.
You can choose one or more each from a line up of 10/12: if not happy with the choices you can ask for more parades. KTV have up to 200 girls working, obviously not all at same time.
Arriving late will mean less choice of girls. This means after 9pm.
Chinese go as early as 6. 30/7pm. Action ends towards midnight or you pay for an extra shift with the girls.
Depending on the venue things can be pretty wild or boring, in terms of girl entertaining you.
English speaking is not to be taken as granted, on the contrary.
Don't expect sex to happen, just kissing, groping, maybe some occasional nudity.
Some places close an eye on what happens behind the door of the room toilet (depends on chemistry with the girl and you tipping her). Some others might offer ST rooms or facilities.
Some girls are available for take away at the end of the evening. Check first with mama-san when you select them. A KTV evening is not overly expenses but does nog provide sex per se.
With the same or a bit more amount of money you can have a sauna experience of a similar length of time and sex for sure. And you can go in a sauna alone.
It is also recommended to go to a KTV with locals.
They will take you where they know and, more important, are known. They book the room ahead. Have their preferred mama-san.

When in Shanghai last time, I checked out the KTV in the JC Mandarin. Hostess and girls were friendly and keen but I ended up going to Bar Rouge.
I am in Nanjing right now. There is a KTV in the Sheraton hotel where I am staying, nice hotel.
I went to the entrance of the KTV, said I was a hotel guest and the guy at the entrance got very rude and said something like "no room". The place was empty! I was eventually allowed in to look around but the guys weren't too friendly. Seemed to be plenty of available girls.

Most KTV and sauna only service regular customer and most are book in advanced on weekend, most KTV and sauna are own by different owner so if there are crack down the hotel can stay open, it is hard to crack down on KTV most of the girl are freelance not employed by the KTV so what happen in your hotel room is between you and the girl.

The airport that I'll be landing is the Shanghai Pu Dong airport and as the flight is in 13 hours I probably won't be able to venture too far into the city, lest I enjoy myself too much and end up missing my plane.
I just wanted to get some recommendation on some good MPs that isn't too far off the airport. Reading the forum, I can assume that one of the popular ones is called the Manhatten and was wondering how far it is a journey from the Pu Dong airport. Would a regular taxi driver know how to get to Manhatten if I just tell him the name? Some easy directions would be really helpful.
I believe the regular price range of MPs are around 400RMB and if anyone could run down the basic prices for different establishments, it would be extremely appreciated. I have RTFF but mixed reports about different prices have me abit confused.

Take the Maglev from Pudong airport to Longyang Road. It is the last station this train stops. I think the ride is about 8 minutes or so at 480 kmh.
If you have luggage, go downstairs to arrivals, and store them. It is safe and very cheap to store your luggage. I have put everything from briefcase to laptops in there. Make sure you take your passport with you. Storage costs about 20 RMB per day per very large box that will fit about 2 carryon bags plus, laptop bag.
Follow the signs from arrival to the Maglev station. The ticket is about 100RMB or so. When you get off at Longyang Road station, go downstairs. You will see a McDonalds. Wlak past that MacDonalds. Ahead you will see an elevated highway. Past that elevated highway you will see a METRO department store. Cross the Inner Ring Elevated Road, walk past the Metro. Keep walking, past the METRO for about 5 to 10 minutes. You will see residential area. On the second or third cross street you pass, you will see some retail to your left. On the corner of that you will see a massage place. Can't miss it. Bear in mind you are still walking along Baiyang Road. I cannot remember the name of that cross street. All along that street, you will see about a dozen massage places. The first two, that looks very traditional are real massage places. After the first two, you will see a whole bunch of them, with girls standing looking out the glass. It will say massage.
Pick the "massage" place you like, choose your girl and it is about 300 RMB for an hour. She will take you to a room for a quickie. Then go for a nice 2 hour massage, at the first two places.
When you done, head back to the station, have a nice meal and MacDs. And head back. This should eat up about 4 to 6 hours of your time.

Cheers! For 13 hours, I would go to Bodi. Take the Maglev to the end station, take a taxi to the Bodi hotel for 20 to 30 Yuan. You get a nice shower, massage, layed, food and drink. You can stay for up to 10 hours for 600 to 800.

It is 600rmb for open bar on weekday nights. This place is in my opinion a gem in the rough. I am in my early 20s so I have gone to quite a few Shanghai nightclubs and am quite familiar with the KTV / nightclubs. I have been to both the "normal nightclubs" (without paid company) and the other nightclubs (with paid company). If anyone is interested in having a night out, feel free to message me. These "girls" quite simply are like escorts. Many of them are simply stunning and have the ass to prove it but can be quite pricy (depending on where you go) and even after paying their tip, you are not guaranteed a lay (but I am sure that they can be convinced with a decent offer). It really depends on how well you connect with the girl during your time in the nightclub. In nightclubs, you also usually have to book a table in order to have them bring these girls round for you to select from. I have sat through a few of these and you feel like a king haha.
Tips are very dependant but start from around 500RMB and that is just for their company. If you want to get them in bed I would imagine you'd have to tip them at least another 2500RMB. Then there's the expense of ordering alcohol, which, if you book a table, usually has to be at least 2000RMB worth. Pricy, but when you see their naked bodies. Damn, it's worth it.

CT. I am quite familiar with the area but surprised with the number of "massage" places you mentioned, do you mean the BBS on Dujuan and Jinghua Road (I. E. North of the Elevated ring Road). In fact there are only 5-6 BBS in total there, not massage places, apart from the one on the corner of Yinghua / Baiyang. Also you get one hour FS for RMB 300, where?

My company has syring connection in the country and brings business to the country for many millions of $. Still we go through the hassle of a VISA. The quickest way for us is to use an agency in HK. I drop passport and photo to my hotel concierge at 1pm and get it back at 6pm with the visa on. Go imagine you handling this at the immigration office. Especially if you are in transit, with no reason to go to town. If that would be that easy tons of us would escape the procedure. Then the name is in a list at the airport. Sorry to put down your hopes, but I am quite pessimistic on you entering PRC this way. Better chose another transit airport as I always do:BKK. No VOA visa at the airport you must get it ahead of time at your home country, for 13 hr it is not worth it plan to do a stop over for a few days if you got the time ask your travel agent to get it for you, there are many type tourist, business single or multi entries all different price.

I know my source is wikipedia but I don't think they would allow a downright false info, no matter which user submitted it. It says:

Went Heting around 5:30pm last night. This was my second visit there but haven't been in China for over a year so was looking for everything to have changed. Gladly, nothing had changed. Walked into the black glass building, went into the elevator, hit 3 and was immediately greeted by the manager guy. Was led into the changing room. Shoes and clothes off and just a rope. With no VISA you can forget about entering the country. My company has syring connection in the country and brings business to the country for many millions of $. Still we go through the hassle of a VISA. The quickest way for us is to use an agency in HK. I drop passport and photo to my hotel concierge at 1pm and get it back at 6pm with the visa on. Go imagine you handling this at the immigration office. Especially if you are in transit, with no reason to go to town. If that would be that easy tons of us would escape the procedure. The visa on arrival, available in some countries is a different story. Has still to be applied in advance by some local agency which applies to the immigration office. Then the name is in a list at the airport. Sorry to put down your hopes, but I am quite pessimistic on you entering PRC this way. Better chose another transit airport as I always do:BKK. Been there, done that. Make sure you've all the paperwork to proof that you have a confirmed seat on the next flight (boarding pass even better) and a visa for the next stop if required.
Deduct 2 hours to get out of the airport and to Shanghai and 3 hours to get back and in the plane and you've 8 hours left. That are at least 2 good f#cks and 2 excellent meals.

I found out that you can travel shanghai for up to 48 hours without a visa if you fall under their stated number of nationalities. Apparently, if you go to the immigration gate and show the officer your travelling documents to the forwarding country that is not the place you came from, you will be allowed to pass through. It's only for shanghai and it's only for the stated nationalities. I think this matter has been settled now! So I still need recommendations!

Thanks guysI am corrected. I'd never heard of anyone using this process successfully. My general experience of the local immigration processes makes me very wary of trying to use variations. For example, local people will not be allowed to check in for a flight to Thailand without a Thai visa, although the Thai Airlines local website says they can get a visa on arrival in Bangkok. The catch is that Chinese immigration will not allow them to leave without a visa!
To get back to your original question. 13 hours will give you plenty of time to visit Bodi or Sacrosa, both well served by Maglev or Metro from the airport. You should also have time for a look around. I would suggest a stroll along and dinner at one of the restaurants on the river. Good luck. Enjoy your visit!
For those who prefer to stay in, there are several possibilities that I've found.
Pick up a copy of Shanghai Daily newspaper (2 RMB) or may already be delivered to your hotel room. Go to Classifieds and find Massage section. After calling several numbers, typical range of quotes for massage only is 250-300 RMB, and FS inclusive is 700-800 RMB. After some haggling, one number quoted 600 RMB for FS only w / o massage. The final number is going to be somewhat higher as girls will ask for taxi fare, and some may request additional for BJ. So it helps to be very specific on the phone as to service included. Typical quality I've seen is girl next door type.
If you are staying at 5 star hotels, chances you if you wandered outside in the evening time, you will be approached and given cards for massage in hotel room. Numbers I've been quoted was generally about 800 RMB FS inclusive. Some offer girls from Russia and Korea, but cost may be 200-400 RMB higher. If you feel adventurous, you can follow them to their establishment which is probably a massage place, and the cost is typically lower and you can have your pick as opposed to having one sent for you. I might try that option at a later time.
Another option has pre-requisite. After visiting a sauna or massage place so that they know you are safe, you can inquire mama-san or papa-san if they offer in-room service. If you have found a favorite or memorized number of girls on your previous visit, you can request for the specific number of your choice. As been posted by many, price of massage does not include extra service so you will need to negotiate with the girl for the specifics.

Did you stay untill the lobby called, or did the girl call the loby? I've experienced in the past that the girls sometimes try to cut the service a few minutes. Have recently joined after doing some reading about other cities. Living in Shanghai has its advantages, especially when the baggage is away. Let me share a bit.
First a report on Sarcosa (or the "5th floor" as we call it). Decided Friday, I needed a little R&R, so stopped by after work. For another place similar to Sarcosa, try the Merilyn Hotel on ZhangYang Lu and LaoShan Lu (just down from Century Avenue and directly across from the Intercontinental Hotel). You head in through the lobby to the 3rd floor. Does not have the sauna, etc running at lunch time. Usual damage 688.

It was on the way to Bodi, so no detour, and I could have a look if I wanted, he would wait outside. Usually I do not endulge on these kind of proposals, but this time the driver seemed realy a honnest person.
This was probably the first time in China I was not "taken" by a cabby.
The taxi drove up to the JingJiang Orient Hotel (previously the PuDong Sofitel) , past the side of the hotel and to the back. It's the same building as the hotel, it just has a different entrance at the back.
Upon entering: clean, well lit, hotel lobby look. I was asked which menu I preferred: the 750 RMB one or the 1200 RMB one. Here's where being the Foreigner comes in Handy: I asked if I could be shown the difference. Turns out the difference was just the type of rooms you are given. The 750 RMB menu is just a regular room (with porn on the TV) and the 1200 RMB version is a big room with your own jacuzzi, shower area and."a gynological chair". The line-up of girls in both sections are the same. This is China: You pay different for the same service, the difference is the entourage you get the service in.
I choose the 750 RMB version. The wet area is probably the best I've ever seen in ShangHai (only topped by a realy top-of-the-line Spa in BeiJing) Clean, fresh, big pool with jet-streams. indeed incorrect. keep in mind that all venues are different. but there are some common things about wet-area's in chinese spa's:
- women and men are strictly seperated. so any and all creature you see in the wet-area is a male.
- it is not uncommon in chinese spa's that one of the guys that work in the area will help you scrub your back, or dry it with a towel. that isn't homosexual behaviour, it's simply providing a service. if you don't want any assistance, simply smile and say "wo bujaole, xiexie". ("i don't want, thank you")
- you will be offered a pair of pyamma's when you leave the wet-area to the resting area.
- most spa's have a "resting area". a seperate room where you can enjoy some drinks and have food after you used the wet-area. sometimes it's a big shared restaurant like room (with an all-you-can-eat buffet), sometimes a seperate small room with just 2 loungy chairs, a tv and a small bowl of melon. sometimes the room is shared by both sexes (just guests: males, females and children) sometimes they are also seperated.
- most of the times you will be able to get a foot massage in the resting area.
- the "service" area is usually in a seperate area.
- modus of operation: undress -> wet area -> resting area -> service area -> resting area -> wet area -> dress
just ask for "angmoh" (phonetic) it means "massage", mostly used for "fs"

I am sorry. You are right. Had to recheck my notes and my written 6 was a badly scribbled 8. 800 RMB for the service (better take 2 or 3 of those nifty lighters.) The 90 minutes was correct tho.
Did you stay untill the lobby called, or did the girl call the loby? I've experienced in the past that the girls sometimes try to cut the service a few minutes. They then call the lobby themselves and tell that the customer is satisfied after 2/3rd or 3/4th of the service and wants to leave. Look for the stairs going to 2nd floor.Was there last night but had trouble telling the FL from the rest of the crowd, mainly couples and groups of local. I took a few trips, so please excuse the length. Thank you to all the posters here who posted up detailed reports in Shanghai. Hope this contributes in some way back to you guys. Finally, my Chinese is pretty good so let me know if you guys need help with characters, translations, etc.
1. Went to Chengjiaqiao first in the evening. Took the fork that goes west, Jinhui Lu, and encountered a group of BBSes tucked into the alleys. As another poster mentioned, this area is somewhat dark and this specific alley was obviously a lower class residential area, but I am very certain they are used to clients and didn't pay me any attention despite the fact that I very likely stood out. Actually they weren't even BBSes, just brightly lit rooms with couches and WGs sitting on them. The actual bedrooms were off in a separate alley about 20m away. Entrance to bedrooms was only through a locked door, to which only the WGs had keys. I thought the setup was fairly clever as if there were any LE raids, you'd be separate from the BBS venue itself. Plus they had what I realized later were lookouts all over the street. Definitely made this more viable as you have some peace of mind.
Was very impressed by the selection here. Each BBS had between 2 to 7 WGs each, and they ranged from 5s to 8s. At least half were early 20s. Just FS is 150, FS + BBBJ is 200. Didn't bother negotiating. Chose a girl and was told she did FS only, no BJ. Said it was ok, and embarrassingly I couldn't get it up without a BJ first. I blame jetlag! Waited just a few minutes with a drink and TV before I was brought to the fishbowl where there were a couple other guys looking.
About 20 girls in the line up. I thought Chengjiaqiao was impressive the other night, but this just floored me. The lineup had a minimum of 6, up to a few 9s, all 20s in age. Chose a 21yo from Hunan, really cute face (9/10) , medium height, skinny body (8. 5/10). A bit of a feisty personality too. She's only been in Shanghai for 2 months, and made a comment about how large junior was (surprising as I am quite average). Did the routine as has been described here. If the information we nicely put up here for free is going to be copy pasted on some site that charges 60 bucks a year for access, then at least Jackson could avoid letting them advertise here for free. I am sorry, if you think like that. We don`t charge anything for access. 95 percent off all informations on our webpage are for free, we only charge for the member area with some additional information. (like the sauna adress). Everything else is for free). And we invest a lot of effort, to make it easy to find the information you need now. For example the Sauna Google Map we did. You will not find it any where else in the web, I think. And it is for free. So most of the service is useful and free for everyone.
And the concept is same than in ISG, nearly everything is free, but if I want to see the pictures someone uploaded here, I also have to pay for the chance to see the pictures, so you upload a adress card of the sauna club here and the forum charge others to see it. Long time I did not see any post about this topic here, so I think for new visitors, it could be helpful to get some background about that.
In China you find a lot of Bars with "drinking" Girls. In this Bars there will be (sometimes beautiful) Girls willing to drink with you. There will be two kind of girls:
- most are hired by the bar, they get a (low) fixed salary (around RMB 500 to RMB 1000) every month and additional commission for every drink they take. In Shanghai Girls Bars the price for a drink is 50 or 100 RMB each drink, the girl get around 30.
- some of the girls are "free", they can be there, also get commission, but they are Freelancer looking for customers there. But you will find less Freelencer in Girlsbars, because most bar owner don`t like them to take out the customer very fast, but who want`s to spend out a lot of money in a bar, if he allready cleared everything with the girl to go home together.
Now you have different types of Girls Bars.
- most of them only provide Girls drink with you, also make you a little bit hot (to drink more) , but nothing else will happend (exept some touch or kiss).
- some Bars also offer some "VIP Areas", where you can have a lot of fun (For Example BBBJ, FS with one or more girls same time) in the Bar directly. But you have to know, this private areas most time not really private, so other girls and sometimes even other customers will pass by.
But you have to know this is not a cheap entertainment. It is a little bit more exiting than a Sauna or Massage, because you have to attract the girls to do more with you, and could be you spend a lot and nothing happend, but could also be they like you and you have a great big party with some really hot girlfriend experience. In old Tong Ren Lu a friend of mine went upstairs with a girl, than later they went to a private room, than later her (real!) sister also join them, than another girl later and he had the first time GF Experience with 3 Girls same time. He spend 5000 this night, but stay in the Bar from 10:30 pm to 7:30 am. But I also know people spend 10k and more in a bar and nothing happend at the end.
Cheating Ways: If you are not so familiar with girls bars, you should take care about some points how they will cheat you.
1. Wrong Drinks: The girls earn money for drinking. You want to have fun, and as more the girls getting drunken, as more hot the party will be. So most girls try to order a cocktail called "sex on the beach". Normally charged with 100 RMB for a small glass, there is nearly no alcohol inside. So she can finish a rack with 10 Drinks in half an hour (RMB 1000!) without getting even a little bit drunken. Tip: better ask for double Tequila, same price, but the Girl will never drink so much so fast (and also sometimes check the tequile, could be tea with same color). Or you order Beer, there is not faked beer bottle in China. (you can tell them you only drink beer and you like them to drink together. Than the cost will rise up much slower). You also can order a bottle of Whiskey or Tequila. Girls don`t like, because commission is very low for that, but the price will be 600 to 800 in the Bar and if you and some girls drink together, you can have drunken girls easy and much cheaper. But if you want to have more than talking, you should also spend out some shots to comfort them. You will see, they will give some back (at least the "no cheating girls").
2. Faked Bills: Normaly in the bar there will be a cup on the table and every time the girls or you take a drink, a "bill" with the price and the girls name (for their commission) will be put inside. In a very reliable bar they will let you sign each paper, so you can be sure it`s right (but trust me guys, this are not the bars you get really hot fun). But if you get drunken, than the girls (or the boss) will put additonal bills inside, so could be you order Drinks for 1500 RMB and finally they ask you to pay 3 000 or 5 000 RMB. And if you avoid to pay, they will make big trouble. I suggest to ask for the police than, because if they did not let you sign every bill, the police normaly will be on your side (and the bar manager know this for sure).
3. More and more Girls: Most of us are happy, if they have one or two girls. But in the Girls Bars, they will try to push you to as many girls as possible. I saw a lot of western guys with 5 or 10 girls around. Than every round with double shots will be charged with 500 to 1000 RMB. This is really waste of money, because all this girls will leave without giving you anything back. So keep calm and send away every girl you don`t like. They will ask you for: "only one drink", and so on, but better save this budget for the girls will really give you something back.
4. Pretent to go home with you: Most Bar Girls will pretend to go home with you later, next day or whenever (normally they have working time till 3 am or even 5 to 6 am and can not go home with customer in working time, exept you spend 5 000 to 10 000 in the Bar at least). But they will make you horny and talk with you dirty, so you will think later, when the bar close, you will be able to take them home. They very often even promise like that. So you will stay long time, comfort her with a lot of drinks and you will get more and more horney. Than later they will have some excuse, why they can not (for example have to pick up someting home, have to go home with friends and so on). Sometimes even tell you, they will come to your place later, than switch of their phone or ignore you. The "real talents" will be able to give you the feeling, one day you will take her home, so you come back again and again.
Tip: you can have a lot of fun in the girls bars, also you can have great girl friend experience, but never go there to pick up a girl. This will never work! You better go to the same bar from time to time, get friends to some girls, than you rise up your chance to "seduce" one of them. But never loose the focus on your Budget. The highest bill I ever saw was a drunken guy in old Tong Ren Lu Bar, he should pay 95 000 RMB only for the drinks (as they found out, he is stupid and drunken enough, more than 30 Girls come to ask for drinks, take double rounds and so on.). And the crazy guy took his credit card and paid for it. What kind of entertainment we could have with such a budget. If you like to have fun in the Bar, you better check out, which one offer "full service". Problem is, they will never tell you about the service you will get, because officially the boss of the bar has no idea, what the girls do with the customers, when they leave to privat area. So the boss also can not force the girls to do any service if the girls don`t like. So in every Bar it is a lucky draw. You can have FS in a Bar with a girl, but next time the other girl in the same Bar will not even kiss you. But there are some Bars they will be specialized on "better" service, so there you can be 90% sure you get what you want, because here the boss will not keep girls they only pretend, but finally not do any special service. But your budget should be between 500 and 1500 for a evening an a Bar with some extra fun like BBBJ, HJ or FS.

Recently found a strip of BBS just north on Pudong Nan Lu from the corner of Pudong Nan Lu and PuJian Lu, on a small street named NingYang Lu. There are four in a row. I think it is new. There is a BBS at about 936 Changle Road, between Wulumuqi and Changshu Roads. Walked by a couple of times and the ladies were trying to wave me in. Really handy to the Hilton. Go south on Changshu to Changle, and turn right. Look for the green foot massage sign.

The legendary Shanghai Hotel in Puxi always offered Red Rope. You had to tell the girl not to it and wave her off, or it was part of the script.
Located on 505 Wulumuqi Lu North, the Shanghai Hotel had / has both normal rooms upstairs and a wet lands downstairs. You get the wet lands with Red Rope if you request (ed) VIP when you walk in the door of the sauna. Price was 800 rmb for VIP.
Uncertain if it is now open, but given it's legendary history, it's an even money bet that it is.

Went to Malone's for dinner on Saturday, then had a drink at Big Bamboo and later Manhattan.
The girls at Malone's were trollish, BBB looked pretty good, although there were not very many.
Manhattan was ridiculous, more girls than I have ever seen before, and at least one for every guy. Range from haggard to stunning, tall to tiny, big tits to nothing. Lots of Thai and philipinas, no Chinese that I noticed. I was with colleagues so no buying, just looking. There were some young Brits in there douching the place up, completely overserved and out of control.
We left at midnight and it was packed with a steady stream still arriving. My one colleague will most certainly be going back unsupervised.
This is my first report so be gentle. I made a few mistakes tonight to learn from.

I called someone advertising just as "Full Body Massage" in the Shanghai Daily (18 June) and organised a girl to visit my hotel, after being quoted 280RMB for the massage. My plan is to see how the massage goes before talking about any extras. As this is my first time in Shanghai, having a girl come to the hotel seemed the safest option.
The girl arrived fairly quickly. Was probably about 25 or a little more and 7/10 for looks.
After she sat down launched straight into trying to sell FS for 2000 RBM and didn't like the idea that I wanted to just start with a massage. There were other options suggested but she kept coming back to FS when I considered them. She demanded the money up front which had now climbed to 400 RBM for basic massage, with taxi fare included. Not a good sign but I paid up. If her attitude was more friendly I would have taken another option.
It was about the worst massage I'd had. No skills at all and constantly trying to sell FS which I gradually got down to 1400 RMB. She wanted the money up front again. Her attitude was really getting on my nerves at this point so I sent her home instead. She was not happy at all. Better to cut my losses than live to regret handing over more money for bad service.

I've been to a couple of KTV bars and had a good time, with Chinese speaking associates, but don't have their details so cannot start out my first report with a positive experience. I'll be in Shanghai for a few more weeks and hope to have much better to report.

No. Heavy reconstruction work is ongoing. Thr entire third floor looks like a war zone. It remains uncertain when the construction will be complete. Rumors. And I stress rumors from management and some of the girls who worked there say July 1. I'll believe it when I see it, given what I saw on my little walk through the other day. Given the scope and scale of the renovation, it will not bear any resemblace to what it looked like. Totally new and improved. Only time will tell.

You are much better off reading through the forum to find a MP. Or if you want to explore, look for MPs that have girls in short uniforms and high heels standing around the entry. Instead, at 1:30AM grabbed a waimai (takeout) from my local MP that included FS. Finished at 5AM. A much better bargain with more enthusiasm.

P13Hi Pushkin. I'll have to look back to the pages to get original language. But from the context that I remember, most (if not all) of the abbreviations refer to services offered. A few may refer to the "type" of establishment.
For example, the abbreviation FJ. I concluded refers to HJ (fei-ji).

Was out wandering and ran across three promising MPs. They are in Pudong on LaoShan Lu and WieFang Lu. As you walk from Weifang down LaoShan, they are on the right side of the street. I stopped in and chatted with each but had no time to sample. Here is my take:

i choose the 750 rmb version. the wet area is probably the best i've ever seen in shanghai (only topped by a realy top-of-the-line spa in beijing) clean, fresh, big pool with jet-streams. clean, fresh smelling showers with jets. a bubble bath that didn't look like someone had masturbated in it. upto then a big +++

After my last let down, I needed somewhere reliable and Bodi seems to be a favourite on this forum. Tonight I grabbed a taxi and tried Bodi for the first time. So I took some recent advice form fellow posters and decided to check out Dream Spa behind the Sofitel in Pudong today. Short summary for me was, dud. I did not agree that the facilities are all that nice (not better thanm Heting, not as nice as Bodi or Riverview) , did not get any kind of offer for high level or low level (just asked "Massagee?") and the lineup was only 8 girls at 1:30 PM on Saturday.
I picked number 915, a very skinny thing who was the best looking in the face and has a hard body, although very skinny. Service was sub-par, with no BBBJ, and she even double covered me for FS, which I found odd. She also pulled out some kind of vibrator thing and made an attempt at sticking it fully in my ass. Never had that happen before.
After one pop, she dicked around with a bunch of stuff, and then jsut as I was getting ready to go again, she says time is up (after only one hour). The phone call was non-existent, they did not inquire as to how good it was. Then out we went (I was there with a buddy) and he was pushed out after 45 minutes (he was a non-speaking Chinese from abroad).

ChuckI assume you're near the HongQiao airport. There are a couple places over there. One sauna over there is called Xin Yuping Hot Spring Clubhouse and it's at Lianhua Road and Yishan Road. The address is 1733 Lianhua Road. The price there is 880 RMB. That's where I'd go during the day or afternoon if I were staying where you are.
Late at night and up to 3 or 4am I'd visit the ChengJiaQiao BBS area (if you're into BBS) which is at ChengJiaQiao Road and Jinhui Road. Price there is negotiable, but is generally 200 a girl.

But.
You can turn right on hongfeng lu and walk for five minutes and find what you're looking for. As you walk along hongfeng lu, you will pass a church, then after that, a Parkway Health clinic. Another 100 meters and you are at the highway four lane yangao lu. Cross it. Just as you cross there are two newly renovated sports bars (usually with filipinas) on the right. Just past them is a massage joint. Look over to you left at the side street and you will see a couple more massage joints. If you contine stright ahead for another 3-4 minutes, you come to jintai lu. Turn right and walk down it to find four or five barber shops on the left hand side. A couple of massage joints on the right hand side.
This is area is local. Have fun with all the fres off the farm talent. They have the best "5s" and "6s" in town! Just don't expect any 7s or above unless it's really your lucky day.

Another place nearby is My Spa on MingYue Lu and BaihuaLu. It is next to a DVD shop. Have had a reasonable FS there. Number 9 was a good fun gal. From the Ramada, walk past Carrefour, turn left on YunShan Lu, then a right on MingYue Lu, then another block or so. On the righthand side.
This place used to be a fun area, but since the expo, entire luwan district has become Vatican city. Any one know of any places still to have fun? Even MPs with HE.

The way the VIP was explained to me by my regular girl when I had one is that they have to get customers to open or re-up the card three times per month (meaning one from you, one from me, one from him). Failure to get that done is probation for one month, out the door if after two. I did have FS in the massage place, and I know a few others have as well. My regular place was the one just off the corner of Weifang and Pudong Nan Lu, across from The Max and next to the video store toward Shimao Riviera Gardens from Pudong Nan. I also had overnight takeout that was something like 300 to the house (no discount) and whatever else to the girl, sometimes cash, sometimes shopping, sometimes nothing.
The only reason it fell apart for me was the girl thought I was an ATM and wanted to borrow some cash, and by some I mean 5-figures USD. So I recommend having a stable of girls to rotate through, keeps them honest.
