It took the taxi driver a while to find the address, but thanks to the previous forum posts I knew I was at the right place once I saw the outline of the hotel. Arrived about 11:30pm on a Wed night. Changed into robes at the locker / change area with male attendant standing next to me, which felt weird for sure. Cell phone can be taken in a small plastic zipper bag but wallet was asked to be left behind in the locker. Chose to skip the wet area and was taken downstairs in a large waiting area with about 20 recliners, and was offered choice of drink (soda, beer) while waiting. Waited about 10 minutes and was taken to a brightly lighted room down at the end of the hall where a lineup of 12 15 girls were standing, mostly 5 to 7. Wasn't exactly overwhelmed with the choices, but didn't want to wait another 30 minutes so picked #615.
Soapy felt great but was over pretty quickly. Service-wise felt like she's following a routine and trying to get it over quickly as possible. BBBJ was decent followed by various positions. Then she was happy lying there and resting. Afterwards she told me I was the 8th customer of the day, which probably explains why she appeared so tired. Gave me the impression that the standard session is 60 min and helped me put on the robes. But I didn't feel like arguing as previous posts had mentioned 90 min.
In the change room on the way out, found out from the male attendant that girls would be fined if customer left before 60 min, but session is up to 90 min. Also he mentioned better selection would be in early afternoon when they opened, or after midnight. Per given night probably 50 60 girls are there.
Overall the experience was mediocre this time but I'm probably going to visit again at some point if I go back to SH.
It has been a couple of years since I have visited Shanghai. I used to go to the Shanghai Hotel Sauna on the 2nd floor, but undersatnd it closed due to the EXPO. Does anyone know if it has re-opened? I searched the forum and the latest report I found was dated July 2010.

I was walking down ZhangYang Lu near BaBaiBan at midnight when I noticed a line up of taxis. They must be waiting for people coming out of somewhere. Then I notice the 2 MPs down the driveway to the right of Everbright Bank. One on the ground floor to the right and the other to the left and up the stairs. Went to the 2nd floor to check the menu.
The top of the line was 198 for an hour and a half massage. After dropping my shoes at the front, I was led back to a room. Low massage bed in front and a wooden soak tub behind a half wall. Soon after a girl showed up (no picking). She was fine. A 7/10 from GuangXi province. Took me a few minutes to get a handle on her Guangxi country accent.
Stripped down and had to put on paper shorts. Into the tub I went, where she washed me all over paying special attention to xiao didi. The conversation led to a question of zouai. Answer, a big smile. I did not have a jimmy hat, so off she went to get one. On return, out came a very nice set of C cups with pencil eraser nipples. She liked them well massaged on the rough side. My best bets are the following;
1. Go to the Heting Elite Sauna. Only 10 minutes from the hotel. 3rd floor 777 Sipang road.
2. Feng Ding Yuan Club. Close to my hotel but maybe no lineup. Get what you get.
3. Bodi. More like a 20 minute cab ride but best in Shanghai. Enter from outside on the left hand side of the building.
4. Sacrosa. Impossible to find.
5. Jin Jiang Oriental Hotel. Dream Spa? Is this as good as option 1, 2, or 3? And is it Jing Jiang or Jin Jiang?
None of these places should get me for more than 800 rmb, right?

Visiting Bodi recently one evening around 10:30pm. Selection was amazing (about 25 girls in the lineup). Chose # 563 from lineup (about an 8 with fake school girl glasses). After I choose her and was walking out, a perfect 10 walked in the room. I should have changed my selection.

50. 60 girls per night? The largest lineup I've seen at Bodi in the afternoon was about 30.
2PM is a pretty good time to go there if you can.
Most of these sauna places have different standard sessions depending on how many customers are waiting.

There are four in a row. If you are staying at the Pudong Sheraton, it is a short walk. Did not sample the goods, as I was on a run and dripping with sweat. The talent looked to be in the 6-8 range. It was about 4pm when I went by.

I think they are mostly legit, but I has a buddy who had a HE in Shanana a while back. Not sure today.
Another place nearby is My Spa on MingYue Lu and BaihuaLu. It is next to a DVD shop. Have had a reasonable FS there. Number 9 was a good fun gal. From the Ramada, walk past Carrefour, turn left on YunShan Lu, then a right on MingYue Lu, then another block or so. On the righthand side.
On the corner Sha Na Na is legit. Congen next to it. Also legit. And Bamboo next to it. Legit.
But.
You can turn right on hongfeng lu and walk for five minutes and find what you're looking for. As you walk along hongfeng lu, you will pass a church, then after that, a Parkway Health clinic. Another 100 meters and you are at the highway four lane yangao lu. Cross it. Just as you cross there are two newly renovated sports bars (usually with filipinas) on the right. Just past them is a massage joint. Look over to you left at the side street and you will see a couple more massage joints. If you contine stright ahead for another 3-4 minutes, you come to jintai lu. Turn right and walk down it to find four or five barber shops on the left hand side. A couple of massage joints on the right hand side.
This is area is local. Have fun with all the fres off the farm talent. They have the best "5s" and "6s" in town! Just don't expect any 7s or above unless it's really your lucky day.My experience is that the three places on Biyun Road, mentioned above, are indeed legitimate (but I sometimes wonder why Sha Na Na is always so busy. Is there a door that's closed to foreigners?) , but the interestingly-named Rivulet House, just around the corner on Hong Feng Road, can be relied on for a HE. Was at Manhattan last night looking for some different fun before I head out of China on an extended biz trip. Chatted with some viet gals around 12:30. Their pricing was off the chart. 1000 for an hour. 2500 for the night. Was interested, but not that interested. Do not accept these kind of prices. We need to work together to keep mongering affordable. I bailed out and hooked up with one of my regular take-out Chinese massage gals. Total damage: 400 for a 3 hour FS sauna style GFE. Had hoped to have viet, but not at that level of pricing.

I'm relatively new to Shanghai and started to read reports on this web site. I'm a newbie and did not want to try out and of the the FS places, instead opting for just a massage with a HE. There are several positive reviews of Jinlin Yangsheng so I headed down there at about noon today. It was easy to find based on the pictures they have on Google. It's suspicious to me because it seems unreasonable that a well known bar could do this more than once and not get into ridiculous amounts of trouble. Its suspicious that it's being posted here today. It's suspicious that two sips were enough to render you barely able to escape. But to show you how stupid and greedy taxi drivers are, they don't just try to rip us off with this scam by 3 or 5 kuai, they try for 20 or 30. That's so obvious. In general, a taxi ride within a city to a reasonable destination should only be about 30 kuai at the most. Again, if you think you've been cheated, get a printed receipt and if possible a picture of the driver's I'd that's posted in the cab.

I visited Body after July 1, 2011. It is true, the price increased to a steep 880 Rmb. However, I got a lineup of at least 15 girls, and a number of them were quite ok. ThanksFirst, it`s not too expensive if you try your double flight in a sauna. If they are not too busy, they will even force you to take a second girl, price should not be more than RMB 300 to RMB 450 for the second one. A few fun events this week.

First of all, I am a long time reader and I've been around for some years now. I posted a couple of reports about Heting (when they first opened in late 2008 thanks to Appelcrate under another name) Well, I'm coming back cause I am curious. Yesterday I was in Ningxia Lu 384 (Putuo) and saw it was closed, totally closed, under construction, they were probably building something else and the place is down for good.
Another huge sauna in Anhua lu 85, off Jiangsu Lu (Changning) is also closed, this time around I did not see any construction but the doors were locked. This sauna is in ahuge colonial type building and although I have not been in any of these two, the reports of an old list from 2007 said they were pretty good. I know those are a little off the normal track saunas. If anyone has anything to comment about them it will be welcomed. Lately I'm trying to discover new places.

You've got to get over to Pudong at the Jinjiang Oriental Hotel on South Yanggao Road across from Lancun Road. Hope you have better luck next time. Although, I wouldn't recommend Dream Spa. I've been there once, and the facilities and lineup was just not up to par, in my humble opinion. Bodi is much, much better.

Tried a different sauna today, at the corner of Pingli Road and Lingshi Road. In the far north corner of Putuo District. It is called MeiJing Sauna Chamber. The address is 137 Pingli Road. The sauna is on the 8th floor of the office building there on the corner.
To arrive by subway, take line 7, Dahuasan Road, exit 2. Short walk south on Hualing Road to Lingshi Road. Turn left, short walk to Pingli Road. The tall building on the corner is it. See the picture. Enter through the revolving doors. There is a hotel type desk there; I just walked straight through the lobby without stopping. Out the back door of the lobby you will find the elevator. Go to the 8th floor.
Not much English spoken here. I don't think I'd recommend this place if you don't speak any Chinese, but with a little, you'll be ok. The girl at the desk quoted me RMB 108 for a bath (Xi Zao) , to be paid at the end, but that is not the all inclusive price.
Next step is lockers. Similar to other saunas in town. Get a wrist band; put your stuff in the locker. There is a bag if you want to take something with you. Next is shower. There is no privacy here. whilst this was going on, a doorman at the hotel adjacent the radisson tried to stop a guy parking, he, the doorman, was placing yellow markers and only allowing selected people, i assume guests, to park. the guy parked and walked off up nanjing lu. two minutes later, a motorcycle cop turned up, the doorman pointed out the offending vehicle, and the cop slapped a ticket on it, when the cop walked towards the other 3 vehicles illegally parked, the doorman simply waved him off!
the cop then rolled up to the scam team in the car park entrance, to be greeted as an old friend, it was obvious to me, that the cop was asking "hows it going? ' and they were describing the poor afternoon, but the organiser definitely pointed out the ongoing attempt to approach the young blond across the street, having a laugh with with the two guys who'd been chased away. pleased to say, the blond was not taken in, stood up, and walked into the hotel, with the young woman trying to hold her back. as the blond dissapeared, the woman with the bags simply shrugged her shoulders and rejoined the mob in the car park entrance!

The military vehicles have white license plates. Govt officials or 'connected' people have black plates and everyone else has blue plates. Police cars are clearly marked. You can buy infrared and NVGs at the pearl markets and fake goods markets too.

Sort of a strange place. Had to check it out after some recent reviews. It was surprisingly easy to find. The spa / sauna / jacuzzi area is very nice as mentioned by others but the showering in the glass tubes with other punters while being watched by the guys working there and the guys in the jacuzzi was kind of disturbing.

I've been checking the forums at lang520 and what I see looks promising. Loads of WGs can be found via QQ, most of them working from their homes. Prices are mostly 300 or 400. Merrylin Hotel Sauna: Now Open with Fist Class Facilities and WET LAND!
It's finally reopened. Merrylin Hotel Sauna in Pudong across from the Intercontinental Hotel is back in action.
Frankly, it's first-class all the way. Facilities as good as you will find as they are similar to Riverview and Heting.
A vast new WETLAND (or Water Mill in local lingo) area is well conceived and looks great. Similar in layout to the (now closed) Golden 18 in Puxi, these WET ROOMS are just the right size. They have the WET AREA with Elevated Table, Split Bottom Chair for Leather Cheerio cleaning and maintenance, and Wall Shower for a tag team soap fest.
DRY SIDE has a big square bed, massive ceiling mirrors, (no Red Rope Bar) in-room water cooler for Fire and Ice BBBJ, automated temperature controls, and brand new carpet.
I've been checking on this place for months. It made no sense what was causing the delay. But it went on forever. On several occasions I verified the extent of the renovation by going to the forth floor on the hotel and walking down the stairs. In short, the entire third floor was gutted and rebuilt from scratch. This place has no resemblance to its old "Yea Baby" Austin Powers feel. Perhaps the only thing that is in the same place is the hot tub, which is in fact in the same physical location. But it has been completely overhauled.
Best way to describe the newly renovated place is this: It's on-par with Heting. Definitely, it's that nice. The reception area is marbled and recessed from the elevator. Locker room is to the right and is classy. Shower area is totally new, has private stalls, and great shower equipment. The changing area is further back form the shower area and is rather large.
From here you move further back on the third floor (relative to the past layout which was semi-circle) to another counter.
At this point I noticed something that caught my eye (other that the smoking hot rawhide queen at the counter) : A large STAIRCASE to the left of the counter obviously ascending to the FORTH FLOOR. What the Fuck? I pivot left and start for the staircase, but the new Hammer Commander guides me right. To the FISHBOWL!
A NEW ONE! No more painting to slowly raise, but instead a very wide and modern FISHBOWL with platform and one-way glass.
Line up had about 10 girls that were all new. The uniforms caught my eye: Fishnet Tops! By the way, at this stage of the game I had no idea of a WET LAND set up. All I knew was that there was a new staircase left, and now, a whole bunch of girls in Fishnet Tops. To be sure, at that moment it occurred to me that I had only seen Fishnet in a line up in one other place, and it was a WETLAND. So, I had a hunch, and focused on TITS gouging up against the Fishnet.
There were 5 of the girls I would have done anytime. The others I disn't really examine that closely because NOW I WAS FOCUSING ON TITS AND FISHNET. In the hope that the Motherfuckin' Merrylin had been restored as a WETLAND.

I would say that if the place starts to get overrun with foreign mongers, then they might either charge a Tool Premium or find a way to cut down on the flow. Given their location, it's easy to imagine them being closed for "Renovation" on a regular basis if things get to out of hand with the massive hoards of foreigners parading to the area.
Only time will tell.
And one more thing: If you've got a Tool the size of a can of spray paint (I don't) , and your favourite movie is "A Man Called Horse" then get you some of those oversized Jimmy Hats and take them with you and ask for plenty of lube. In this way you won't scare the newbies to death, as many of them have a fear factor of foreign tools. I talked to my girl about this and she said that many of the girls had never done a laowai. So, might as well go slow, break them in, and not drive the fear factor through the roof.

The only thing was on the BBS places where they will ask for more money than what Chinese local men pay. They will ask for 200 or even 300 but you should be able to pay 150 that I think is standard price. If walking on Zhengli road from guoding road to Jipu road there is around 10-20 BBS, they are all on the right side of street when walking westwards.
Then there is the massages places that are spread over this area and not concentrated to any particular place. Some offer extra services, some others nothing else than massage. Can be difficult to tell by just walking outside which offer what, but usually if the girls wear no uniform they may offer some extra services, if they wear this silk shirts its probably a normal massage place. There is also the more simple massage places where there is normally dress girls sitting next to the entrance. This places use to offer simple quick massage with HJ for 50 kuai. Just go in and say 'anmo' and they will take you inside to a room.

Nice setup as described, not so easy to find as not on main street but behind the real building, bell captain not helpful asked for foreigner friendly.
