Paid a visit to the Dream Spa last night. It is located at the Double Tree Hilton Hotel, corner of Yang Gao Lu and Pujian Lu. When you look at the entrance of the hotel from Yang Gao lu, the spa is located on right hand side of the hotel. If you walk down the right hand side, you will see the spa. It is unnamed but has a large glass frontage and a large white lobby. The manager at the door spoke english and gave me the run down. 988 rmb for an 88 minute session (lots of 8's. Hmmm).
Was taken to a room, which had the usual decoration including a large round bed and an joining wet area. There is no fishbowl, rather the girls are brought into the room and you get to pick. If you don't like what you see, then send them away and another lot will come. Chose a cute Sichuan girl, with an impressive full back phoenix tattoo.

So here are better directions and then to the good stuff. Exit the Lancun Road Metro station line 6 or line 4 and head North on Dongfang Road. Basically, if you get approached by anyone in the street. It's a scam. If you get taken to a restaurant or bar by someone. It's a scam. The standard operation is a 20 year old cutie will start talking to you in the street and ask about your plans. She will suggest a coffee, tea or meal. She chooses the cafe or restaurant and you get landed with a bill from the cafe / restaurant owner with a massive bill. Your new friend will split this 50/50 after you leave with your tail between your legs.Because this sounded just too much like the scam described in Toolkit's excellent report I decided against calling Selina, whom I met on Nanjing road (did I mention that the night I met her at 1AM she said she was hungry and was going to eat?). Went bar hopping instead, first checked out Maloney's, nice band but not much action there, then Judy's which seemed very nice with 3 singers but I did not stay because I wanted to go to Manhattan first, got there around 10:30PM. Nice bar. 50 RMB mixed drinks, the place only really gets going later starting around 11:30PM and there are many girls there, some of them pretty. A nice Vietnamese girl (Moon) stroke a conversation when I arrived and pretty much stayed with me until 1:30AM. She looked OK but not the best in the bar, as I had more drinks she started looking better. The week before last, I visited Malone's, Blue Sky, and Manhattan.
Malone's: They have changed the layout since I was there last a couple of years ago. Now they have some outdoor seating. The band was rocking it up with some pretty hard chords. Most of the ones I knew didn't fly, they took the train to the border from Ulan Bator then carried on to Beijing. Just want to add my recent Manhattan experience to the discussion. I was at Manhattan a few weeks ago. Arrived at 1:30AM on a Mon. Eve, and the whole club were jumping. I had some time in Shanghai a few days ago to squeeze in some R&R between sessions.
Clocked in at 999 around 1PM, left the doors at 2:30PM.
I noticed there is now a pawn shop adjacent to the club and there is still no sign on the club.

a) Massage Place in Xikang Lu, near Kanding Lu. 7/10
It's next to a bunch of restaurants and a hair saloon. Rooms are in good condition. Girls are cute (specially #8, she is a thin little girl from Anhui. I rate her 8/10) and the service is very decent. They also do prostate massage, and it's pretty good. The interesting thing about this place is that they would let you stay after the massage for a nap or even an hour or two, on your own. One time I fell asleep after the whole session and the girl came back to wake me up because they were closing. It was 3am or so. They don't have a 'menu' or 'catalog' of the girls, but I've been many times to this place and I've gotten practically a different girl on each visit, unless I ask for my #8. .

The girls aren't shown in the storefront, like in the place above, and they seem to try to charge the laowai tax. Don't pay more than 168 rmb for 1 hour or 208 for 90 minutes. The girls will ask you for a tip, but if you don't tip them, they will still give you a standard HJ. Tipping them haven't really get me anything extra.
e) Massage places on Anyuan Lu, west from Changde Lu
I know you guys have talked about these ones before. No further reports to do here, but I would like to add that these places are 24/7. I went on a early run a few weeks ago over that area, and they had at least one girl waving from inside the glass door, with the curtains slightly opened. It was fucking 6am. There are 3 places there. The 24/7 one is the middle one, with the big cream colored curtains at the entrance.

If you stand outside Shanghai Winn, Muse or Sky Club, you will most likely notice a strange number of hot girls coming in and out in groups. These are pickup girls. Many of these are expensive Shanghainese. Those are very rare to find, but lately, seems like these clubs' outskirts is a common spot for them to meet up.
Late night on fridays you can actually just stand on the sidewalk and make eye contact with them. Keep in mind these girls are usually 'rejections' from inside the clubs, so they tend to be rushy and moody before you offer them cash. You can't take them home before you negotiate the price, which goes between 3k and 5k for the whole night. If you're good at this, you can get a real shanghainese girl with you for 2k. I don't know why the fuck someone would want that, but it's up to you.

1. Taking the Metro to SH Indoor Stadium is certainly not the best way to get there on the Metro. The easiest way may be to take the metro to Shanghai indoor stadium via Metro Line 1, then follow the signs to the exit for Zhong Shan Xi Lu (I think it's either Exit A or Exit 1).
Once you reach street level, walk straight and bear to the right onto Zhong Shan Xi Lu. Flag down a taxi and ask them to bring you to 1277. I suppose you could walk, but it's a long walk, and the taxi only cost 14 yuan. Note: you'll reach street level at the 2600 block, and once you reach the 1500 block, the numbers seem to drop quickly, so make sure your cab is in the right-hand lane after 1500.
As you face the 1277 building, you will notice a large, wide driveway to the right of the building, which leads to a parking lot. Walk down the driveway and turn left into a narrower alley, walk 20m and you will hit the entrance on the right. All signs were Chinese-only, so print the business card!

Is this the one on 700 Changshou Lu (holiday inn vista inn)?Yes. It is located on the fourth floor of the Shanghai Vista Holiday Inn. 700 Changshou Lu. The cost is 880 with the usual arrangement. Went to Bodi Saturday Night around 10.
It took almost an hour of sitting in a lounge chair to get called in to choose. I made my choice. The best one available in the hallway 6 girl arrangement with 2 guys behind me having to choose from the few remaining. I believe an 8. 5 among the other 7s and 7. 5s available. Not sure of the GF-ness of your hotel. Nearby up YuanShan Lu about two blocks to YuShan Lu is a group of massage places. I am sure a HE or more can be had. Down YangGao Lu is the JinJiang hotel. e) Massage places on Anyuan Lu, west from Changde Lu
I know you guys have talked about these ones before. No further reports to do here, but I would like to add that these places are 24/7. There are 3 places there. The 24/7 one is the middle one, with the big cream colored curtains at the entrance.

Many of these are expensive Shanghainese. Those are very rare to find, but lately, seems like these clubs' outskirts is a common spot for them to meet up.
Late night on fridays you can actually just stand on the sidewalk and make eye contact with them. Keep in mind these girls are usually 'rejections' from inside the clubs, so they tend to be rushy and moody before you offer them cash. You can't take them home before you negotiate the price, which goes between 3k and 5k for the whole night. If you're good at this, you can get a real shanghainese girl with you for 2k. I don't know why the fuck someone would want that, but it's up to you.

I followed up on a couple of Xikang Lu's recommendations and wanted to give a quick report for you all.
1. Shanxi Bei Lu / Xinfeng Lu.
I would have to agree exactly with Mgp23's report, I thought No. 8 was a 7/10 at best and definitely around the 30 age bracket, had great tits though and allowed touching for 100rmb. Initially she said only over the bra but eventually she allowed me to lift up her bra and get a good feel. The massage & HJ were both very good, the room & shower also decent. All in all an ok place but not top of the pile.
2. Yuyao Lu west of Changde Lu.
This place is the fist massage joint on the north side of the road as you go west along Yuyao lu from Changde Lu. I would say the girls here are quite good looking, I wouldn't go so far as to say 10's but all the girls I saw were young and had good skin, if not a little chubby. I picked No. 2 who had a pretty face and was quite skinny from Zhejiang, and I would give her a solid 8. 5. The place is pretty clean and has showers, the only thing I would say is that the ceilings are very low so if you are taller than about 5'10" watch your head. The rate was 210 for 1 hour. 1. Taking the Metro to SH Indoor Stadium is certainly not the best way to get there on the Metro. You can certainly do this, but then as MS mentions you'll also need to take a taxi several km north along Zhongshan Xi Lu, or walk for half an hour or so. BUT there are a couple of much closer metro stations, within easier walking distance, such as the Hongqiao Road station on lines 3 and 10. Look at a map and figure out what is best for you.
2. If you're using Google Maps, it seems never to show the name of Zhongshan Xi Lu, so be aware that it is the ground-level road running north-south parallel to the raised expressway.

500 Wuzhong just had completed a big renovation and is ready for full business. Although they have a bigger range of girls like a few from Russia and Mongolians, their quality is a far cry from back in the days.

So I'm new to Shanghai and having read a bit of the forums, Saturday I decided to stop by the main club (Manhattan) and maybe go to other clubs. 1. Shanxi Bei Lu / Xinfeng Lu.
I would have to agree exactly with Mgp23's report, I thought No. 8 was a 7/10 at best and definitely around the 30 age bracket, had great tits though and allowed touching for 100rmb. Initially she said only over the bra but eventually she allowed me to lift up her bra and get a good feel. The massage & HJ were both very good, the room & shower also decent.
