From my credible first hand experiences here is the math:
3 to 5 customers per day in average is possible and if they do not make it will cut loose any how. Typical daily range is 2 to 8, so the average fits. It used to be pretty standard 200 RMB per customer tat landed in the pockets of the girls, may have gone up a little now or in higher end places but I am not sure. They work at least 25 days a months, often they must proof to management they are really on the rag so this is more a minimum, usually they only take 2 to 4 days off (I know, better not think about it). They are in for the money, other than shopping not much use for spare time, you do not make too many friends while on this job other than a few colleagues.
So all in all 20 000 to 30 000 is a realistic figure in average. Superstars will get more, but as also said rightly before the more thye earn, the more they spend, so indeed it is not that easy get rich from it.

MrclenIt honestly won't / shouldn't mess things up with the other KTV girls. They do understand that it's the customer's choice, and however you cut it you are a customer, not her bf. The sauna is in the same building. There's other hotels mentioned on here that have saunas attached. Merrilyn for one.

Could someone give me some recommendations on full service sauna or any independent incall?Near to Fu Shan Lu, there are for example the Merrylin or the sacrosa Sauna, but I would not select the sauna because only because she is nearby. (Taxi is not a big expense in Shanghai and for 50 RMB you can nearly go to every place). So I would prefer to select a sauna I like and spend the time for metro or taxi to go there.
Independent Incall is not a cheap way to have fun in Shanghai. You can find a lot of advertisment all over the net, but most time you will be attracted by hot pictures and finally a totally different girl will show up. Also you will get a low price first, but than for "naked", BJ, Full Service and so on, they will rise up the price more and more.
But the girls will be more expensive than for example a pickup in Manhattan club.

I always stay at JC. Try Feng Ding Yuan (the one behind the fake market).580 Nanjing Road. Just exit hotel and walk east on Nanjing maybe 15 minutes. Fake market on left hand. I think you are not too far from Shanghai Hotel sauna as well but I have never been.Went to Feng Ding Yuan in the late afternoon. Picked no 90. A cute little 20 year old minx. Quick response. I go to KTV's quite often alone. One in particular where the hotel owner is a friend and I get treated very well as a regular. Also have gone in CP alone in the Walter hotel. Took the package deal (room x beers and snacks for one price) , and two girls LT (priced separately of course).wasn't a bad night! You can still have fun, just make sure you know the prices up front, Paper and hand gestures work OK. Pick two girls at least as you are alone and need a bit of interaction. I don't speak much Chinese, but the translator on the phone works a bit and will help. If you are looking for a LT girl, be sure you somehow know what you are getting when you pick, IE:, sit only, ST only, or LT which can be all three. My personal thoughts on Sauna and BBS is not standing in line to be the next wick dipper. Kind of puts me off, and although I've tried it, taking a girl who just finished fucking who knows what. 10 minutes ago and you are next! I know this works for some of you, but for me, I have never had a good Sauna experience. I am an old guy. 70+, not in bad shape or fat, no beard, (also very little on top) , take good care of my personal hygiene, and shave much of the important areas. Many Chinese girls do not like excess body hair, so I try to accommodate a bit to their desires. Also, the girls, at least where I go, will not go with a black man and have concerns about white men. I think mostly it's because they think we are all hung like bulls. Not true in my case and I have resorted on several occasions, to pulling it out or putting their hand in to see how big it is. At least they don't start laughing and still say big but never have a problem after that!
So, in summary, I go often to KTV alone. I almost always have a great time. I get to know the girl a bit before taking her back to my room (no chemistry=don't take her, but you will still have to pay a sit fee). I enjoy the whole evening, not just the bed time. I usually take the girl LT as I enjoy waking up to a sweet young thing next to me and a good morning round. Sometimes if I want to spend extra time with her and I'm not off to a meeting, we'll go to breakfast and maybe make arrangements to meet later or just have her come to my room that night without going to the KTV-this is only if the girl was really good and fun! I thought I would share a cautionary tale about picking up hotel lobby girls, if only to alert fellow newbies.
I tend to stay in the Jin Jiang Hotel in the French Concession where, late in the evening, the lobby often has a foxy-looking girl hanging around. Previously, when returning with friends, I noticed that such girls often just happen to get into the lift with you, especially if you go up to your room alone. You don't have to be the sharpest knife in the drawer to work out what's going on.

OK so moved here a short while ago and have been reading this forum. Decided to try out a bbs.

I mostly go to Hong Song, and for the guys who go there, it's interesting to note that the girls have a quota of how many repeat customers they need every 2 weeks. If they don't hit their quota they will be fined; if they do it's a reward of about 10 customers worth. If the girl senses that you could be a repeat, her attitude will improve drastically. Obviously this works with any venue but it goes double for Hong Song. Turnover at HS is fairly high, since its the newest of a chain of venues, which explains why HS prices are a third higher than others like Merrylin. New girls at HS are brought in after 3, and put into the right corner in the last row.

So your word of being scammed vs. The video evidence, go imagine which prevails. How to escape this if trapped?
Step 1, tell them a fake room number and go in your real room (they have to wait in the lobby anyhow).

Step 3, change hotel.
If police is involved, book the first flight out of the country, and plan not to be able to go ack to PRC.

To cut a long story short in the tea room I quickly realized it was a scam and asked for the bill which they tried to delay; anyway I paid a fraction of the exorbitant amount they asked for after a lengthy negotiation. I can't recall the amount. They never threatened violence. If the guy he went with were the usual thugs who try to lure unsuspecting gents into establishments, he would not have got off so easily, they would have tried their damnest including beatings and extortion to get money from him.

First, how to find the sauna:
The sauna place is actually located on the second row of buildings of the street so it is not directly accessible. In fact, from the street the address is 361 zhaojiabang lu. Here you will see a small alley that you have to follow. On the right of the alley, you will see a panel indicated 389&21495; . Then follow the alley, turn right and go to what looks like a parking entry (in fact it is). You are in the sauna parking. Go straight, you will see the sauna house, sort of villa with closed windows.
Once inside, that's the regular sauna business.

I arrived there at around 13:00.
Once you get in, you are given a bracelet with your number. You are directed to the change area. The place looks old, nothing really nice here. Shoes will go in the locker.
Then you go to the pool area where you shower, then put the pyjama on and you are sent to 3rd floor (using a very very slow lift). Once there you are sent to small waiting room where you can have a drink. As usual.
I waited 10 min when they called our room (we were 3). You take the stairs and go down to the 2nd floor and waint in front of a tiny fishbowl and you can see the girls coming in next to you to their small room where the get prepared for the fishbowl.
At first, no stunner. Only 5 girls, but just wait and more come. So I was the last one (I let a nice one go because was not fast enough. Num 965). Then 991, arrived so I choose her. They proposed me 944 who was waiting in the bowl. Really not my type! Far to much makeup and too much fat.

1000 (mommy, dj, towel boy tip) + 2000 (whiskey and mixers) = 3000rmb.
so for each of the four guys it'll break down to: 750rmb (3000/4) + 600rmb (girl tip) = 1350 rmb give or take on how thirsty you guys are or if you drink beer / mixed.

As I go up north on most of my business trips (so you may not have any information in that area) and do visit some KTV's up there, I am always looking for a new experience. I would would hope, Someday, to find a more loose, wilder experience. After going to Longhao Sauna last week:
Was given a card to their new place, which they told me was newly opened and had a better selection of girls.
The place is called: Dong Jin Wan Men's Club (sauna)

Figured I'd try it out after a meeting in Lujiazui. Quick 5+ min cab ride over. The place is set back in the mini plaza at 928, where there looks to be a cafe and a couple beer bars, on the right side of Pudong Ave if you're coming from the LJZ direction.
Place is definitely much much nicer than Longhao Sauna (though not hard to achieve). Standard setup and the locker / shower area (with large hottub and steam rooms) were probably around the same level as I remember Sacrosa. Though new.
Girl selection was ok, nothing outstanding, but had a variety of skinnier and some chubbier girls (with big knockers like at Longhao. I think they stock the stacked girls here). I usually like the skinnier ones, but I had a great time with a chubs but juggy girl at Longhao, so went for the girl with the largest jugs in the lineup. #780. Plump, but with a decent enough face (def not the cutest in the looks dept) , but stacked.
Was offered their VIP room service which is two hours for 1350 by the hall boss. Regular room and 1 hour was 700. I took a look at both and the VIP room has a huge full bathroom shower room side attached, vs just a small shower in the regular room. Bed area was also a little bit bigger and nicer. The girl was also pushing for the VIP room and promised a good time. Said heck and went for the VIP room. VIP room was very clean and spacious with a hotelish feel. Big round bed a fun touch.
Standard sauna script. Got shower massaged and cleaned (no nuru bed) , just the japanese style split seat. Cat bath, deep anal rimming, a little DATY, BBBJ, then to FS every which way. Two covered pops. She was also nice enough to give me a BBBJ HJ pop right before the session was over. Nice girl.
Total bill was 1350 for the VIP room for 2 hours with the girl. This place is 700 rmb per hour for normal room. 100 rmb more than Longhao, but worth it in comparison given the facilities. I also previously stated incorrectly that Longhao sauna was 615 per hour. It is actually 600 rmb (not 615 rmb) per hour, I forgot I ordered a pack of smokes during my visit and that was 30 rmb.
I'd repeat if I was conveniently in the area, but probably would not go across town for it. The VIP deal is def worth if you happen to like your girl and don't mind staying longer. The room is much nicer than the reg room setup. It's also newer, so rooms are clean and feel new.
Strange note: they had a kind of wine shop display setup in the lobby downstairs before you walk up. I overheard them offering another customer (his bill was only 700rmb) a coupon for a complimentary bottle of wine downstairs (looked and probably is local stuff so nothing special) , so maybe there is some promotion.

Figured I'd try it out after a meeting in Lujiazui. Quick 5+ min cab ride over. The place is set back in the mini plaza at 928, where there looks to be a cafe and a couple beer bars, on the right side of Pudong Ave if you're coming from the LJZ direction.
Place is definitely much much nicer than Longhao Sauna (though not hard to achieve). Standard setup and the locker / shower area (with large hottub and steam rooms) were probably around the same level as I remember Sacrosa. Though new.
Girl selection was ok, nothing outstanding, but had a variety of skinnier and some chubbier girls (with big knockers like at Longhao. I think they stock the stacked girls here). I usually like the skinnier ones, but I had a great time with a chubs but juggy girl at Longhao, so went for the girl with the largest jugs in the lineup. #780. Plump, but with a decent enough face (def not the cutest in the looks dept) , but stacked.
Was offered their VIP room service which is two hours for 1350 by the hall boss. Regular room and 1 hour was 700. I took a look at both and the VIP room has a huge full bathroom shower room side attached, vs just a small shower in the regular room. Bed area was also a little bit bigger and nicer. The girl was also pushing for the VIP room and promised a good time. Said heck and went for the VIP room. VIP room was very clean and spacious with a hotelish feel. Big round bed a fun touch.
Standard sauna script. Got shower massaged and cleaned (no nuru bed) , just the japanese style split seat. Cat bath, deep anal rimming, a little DATY, BBBJ, then to FS every which way. Two covered pops. She was also nice enough to give me a BBBJ HJ pop right before the session was over. Nice girl.
Total bill was 1350 for the VIP room for 2 hours with the girl. This place is 700 rmb per hour for normal room. 100 rmb more than Longhao, but worth it in comparison given the facilities. I also previously stated incorrectly that Longhao sauna was 615 per hour. It is actually 600 rmb (not 615 rmb) per hour, I forgot I ordered a pack of smokes during my visit and that was 30 rmb.
I'd repeat if I was conveniently in the area, but probably would not go across town for it. The VIP deal is def worth if you happen to like your girl and don't mind staying longer. The room is much nicer than the reg room setup. It's also newer, so rooms are clean and feel new.
Strange note: they had a kind of wine shop display setup in the lobby downstairs before you walk up. I overheard them offering another customer (his bill was only 700rmb) a coupon for a complimentary bottle of wine downstairs (looked and probably is local stuff so nothing special) , so maybe there is some promotion.

One question about Cosmos, when I read the blurb on the link at the Shanghai Guide, it sounds like the girls also charge for the lap dances, so that will drive the cost up pretty quickly. 1. The numbers are for the general line. I don't know that the mamasans we use would be happy with their mobile numbers plastered up, but I'll give you their names so that you can ask for them if you call the main line. I'm a bit hesitant to do this, so make sure you treat them nicely and with respect. Take good care of them and they will take care of you. They have a room with a honest-to-god stripper pole installed in it, not the portable kind. First time for me I've seen that in a sauna in Shanghai.

I talked with a monger a few months back and he mentioned how many pinays seem to have shifted to north China. Not sure if this is a visa thing or not. There's definitely been a huge increase in Vietnamese girls in Shanghai. It's insane. Friday stopped at Xintiandi around 7:30 pm. I crossed the street from Langham to Starbucks and two girls called out to me as they sat at Starbucks,"where are you from","where are you going"? They were nicely dressed, seemed obvious they were touts, hoping to separate me from my money giving nothing in return. More and more this is making me angry. I ignored them, kept walking.
I walked the length of Xintiandi, all the way down to the Cold Stone Creamery, just as I was about to the end a young girl appeared at my side,"hi, where are you from","where are you going"? Again, nicely dressed, fresh-faced, not at all like a working girl, so I told her I was going to drink a beer. Of course she wanted to come with me, join me,"have some juice". A few times in the past I played along, and at some point she would ask me to come with her to a bar or tea shop or KTV or somewhere where they would coerce some money from me while I get nothing in return. I left her, went to Paulaner for dinner.
Leaving Paulaner I walked a few of the back alley's of Xintiandi, toward Va Bene, and two girls appeared at my side,"where are you from","where are you going"? One was tall and a bit large, the second was tiny and very cute. The big one asked me at first, I told her I was just walking and I turned my back to her and kept walking. Soon the tiny one was at my side,"Hi, I'm from Harbin, where are you from?". I guess they thought the big girl was not my type so their Marketing strategy was to try a different tack, send in the tiny one! Even though she was cute and probably actually my "type", I was more annoyed by the harassment than intersted in sex, so I just kept walking.
But I'm not yet finished! As I was walking back toward Starbucks to meet my driver two more girls appeared at my side, again nicely dressed, fresh-faced, and one says "where are you from","where are you.", all of a sudden she turns as if someone had grabbed her from behind with great force. Maybe her friend gave her a code word or signal that Law Enforcement was coming, but she hurried away and soon was running away from me. Kind of funny. I looked around, couldn't see any obvious LE or security, but that had to be the deal. Thinking about it, it was only around 9 pm, and if a tout is "made" so early in the night they are probably busted for the remainder of the evening and can no longer work the scam, maybe not get paid. So they literally ran away in order to stick around and harrass more white guys.
So in a single walk around Xintiandi between 7 and 9 pm I was approached by seven girls, and I'm sure if I'd engaged all seven in conversation and whatever came next, I would have given up several thousand RMB with nothing in return, certainly no sex. Shame, maybe, and less self respect for having been manipulated.
All this makes me appreciate my regular provider whom I found at the Paulaner bar in Xintiandi almost three years ago. She answers the call for RMB 1, 000, no hassle, no negotiation. Certainly variety is the spice of life, so next time I need variety I will go straight to Manhattan after midnight, no weird scams, just agree on a price and enjoy the purchase.

1) no, she probably wasn't under 18.
2) yes, that's normal. relax, man. even if she was a regular masseuse- and what is a "regular masseuse"- you didn't angrily
