Technically the place does not really offer massage, it is a FS joint.
The only class of service they offer is the nuru massage for 880 RMB. (yes, that would be your base price for 1 girl)

FrankI have experience in Equatorial hotel close to Jin'An temple. The lobby bar is usually somebody. Once I pick to my room a girl for LT with 1300. Last time there was one but I didn't need any. FrankShanghai Hilton in Jing An. Go to the 39th floor. It has the bar and view of the city. When you walk in there are 3 round tables across from the bar. It is probably a combination of all these things. One worry is the manager-guy is also motivated to give work to girls who haven't been selected recently, usually because they are not so good-looking. Found the Sauna in a small 2 story building behind the Huana Hotel. Just walk down the driveway to the right of the hotel, all the way to the back – it will be on the left. This place was very good. Started out upstairs in a private waiting room with TV where the ear massage, foot massage girls try to sell you a quick massage. Decided not to – and about 10 minutes wait, was brought back to the viewing window. 30-40 girls of all shapes, sizes, and ages are behind the glass. I have been to SH a couple of time in the past couple of months and was pleased to still find a thriving BBS scene compared with Guangdong where there are very few BBS areas left. 1) No, not all girls do takeaway. It seemed to be a shop by shop policy.
2) It has been my experience that 100RMB is the standard extra but sometimes I have been quoted 400RMB. I paid her 30 RMB return taxi fare.
3) In this case, she was not wearing a cocktail dress so change was not needed. In the past, I noticed they did change.
4) I am a laowai living in China a long time. My Mandarin is OK, especially in a mongering context.
5) She took a "quick" shower before and after (this is not always my experience) but it did not seem to make a big difference with the stinky snatch.
Pricing: I have to admit that I have not been able to get the local pricing in Shanghai BBS for ages. Most local pricing I believe is 150 RMB in-house, probably 200 RMB takeaway. Some proprietors quote close to this pricing for me and those seem to be the ones I patronize. I do not like paying the laowai surcharge but there is not much I can do about it these days.

Veg massage is at entrance, but asking for oil massage leads to a kinda diff area branching off from the hallway separated by a curtain. I remember 3 price on the sign going 198/298/398 and hard to tell what each means from the English. The facility was recently renovated: nice showers, a huge luxurious communal hot tub. The private rooms where the fun occurs are separated into 2 halves. So thanks to advice from the board I went to Sacrosa on a Friday afternoon in Shanghai. Excuse the chronology of the events, but I'm going to detail most things here. I went at about 2:30pm.
From the hotel near Nanjing Lu to Sacrosa cost me 48 RMB, pretty expensive because the driver basically had no clue. Perhaps that was by design, don't know, but it was probably 5 RMB more than it should be. He went around the block then did a U-turn, then shot past it. I only recognised Sacrosa because of pictures of the building on the net. Seems to me Shanghai taxi drivers don't like maps and don't like GPS systems. And like driving very fast. Walked into the building entry on the left, past all the restaurants and up to the fifth floor. Some sweet young things got in with me (please be available) but they got out at higher floors. All up Sacrosa is easy to find if you have the directions and is on a busy street albeit a little set back from the road. Search the net for images before you go.
Anyway, they seem quite foreigner friendly, as I was pointed in the right directions to the communal change room where everyone stripping off. Lots of helpers. When in Rome. Into the communal showers. I had a towel to carry with me but the locals seem quite blase about male nudity. Shower, then straight to the drying area and on with the boxer shorts and shirt. Coming from Loushanguan road metro station and walking in direction Changning road you find the massage shops shortly before the intersection on the right side. The taxi fare was only around 25RMB one way and there were three of us. It was not that far away in fact. I was after a BBBJCIM. That was the specialty of the house. We were reminiscing about the old BJ Factory from days gone by. There were also a couple of FS BBS on the same road.

I am a long time follower of the board and have finally found an excuse to get over to Shanghai on business (I am a semi regular poster in the Melbourne, Australia forum where I live. Although slowing down as I get older and slower!).

One key question I am yet to be able to answer from the board is how girl friendly hotels are?
I am staying at The Peninsula for the first 4 nights and the remainder of my stay is at the Four Points Sheraton in Pudong area (I have no choice on the hotels). I have historically never had issues in bringing girls up to my room in 5 star hotels across Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam etc. Is Shanghai any different in this regard? Any feedback on these two particular hotels would be greatly appreciated.

Nowadays most better Hotels have room card controls in the elevator. If you expect a decently dressed visitor you did hand out your second room card to, they can come to your room alone.
In other cases you need to pick up a guest in the lobby and go together to your room. Most often also no problem in the afternoon or early evening.

Never stayed at the Peninsula, but Four Points in Pudong is okay-I would stay at the Sheraton in Pudong-it is just next door 45 seconds walking. Owned by company and they interact on reservations. Much nicer rooms.

Thanks Guys.Generally there will be no problem to bring a girl to your room this days. Only while the Chinese new year end of January, some hotels will follow the rules more strictly, but now easy going in Shanghai. Could be you have to pick up her downstairs, but definitly no problem to bring her up (different to Beijing, where some hotels will not allow visitors in the room after 10 pm). Nowadays most better Hotels have room card controls in the elevator. If you expect a decently dressed visitor you did hand out your second room card to, they can come to your room alone.
In other cases you need to pick up a guest in the lobby and go together to your room. Most often also no problem in the afternoon or early evening.

I'm new to Shanghai and don't have a lot of experience with P4P, but I was looking around online to see what was up and decided to try it out.

Three years ago in Hangzhou, I had some good connections with the Mamasan of one fine BBS Establishment. I have found Shanghai to be the most difficult to negotiate but I have managed 200 RMB several times in different areas although it does seem to be the exception. The surcharge has been in effect as long as I can remember. Most BBS quote me 300RMB even if I go with a Chinese guy and they quote 150-200RMB for him at the same time. It could be an East China thing since the places you mention are located in that region. Perhaps, if you are a regular customer, it could be easier. Most of my mongering is in South China where I can usually get the local price or close to it. That said, many saunas are starting to implement a 100RMB surcharge for laowai. I wonder who gets the extra money; the girl or the house.

Recently there has been some discussion about prices. So I wanted to make some observations, and ask some questions about bbs mongering. I've been in SH for two years now and have used bbs's on average once per week.
The price two years ago was pretty standard at 200 RMB. Also the package was standardised: BBBJ (occasionally CBJ) followed by covered sex (sometimes uncovered offered as well).
I did once negotiate the price down to 150 RMB. This was Spring 2012. But the plan backfired because the girl – who was incidentally nice looking and young – immediately started complaining that it was too little. this is where i was pleasantly surprised and perhaps she was smart enough to try and build some rapport of her own. she said she had work at 630am in the morning and would stay all night and go straight to work or alternatively give me back half the cash and leave now. i was pretty happy to let her go as i was knackered myself and knew i had done all i needed to do to lock in something in the future at reasonable rates and service.

Great work everyone, the Shanghai forum has become pretty hot of late!
I arrived couple days ago and haven't had time for mongering yet. But hope to make up for it over the next week!
I've got couple questions:
1. I'd like to take out my ISG subscription, so I can send / receive PMs and hopefuly hook up with some like-minded guys here, but I don't want to pay for it with my regular credit card so it can't be traced to me. Hi all,
Been reading the forum for the past couple of months and picked up some valuable tips. Thought it time to start sharing some of my experiences and little things I have found.

From the first day I arrived in Shanghai I had spotted them, as within my area there is around 10, around Xincun Road (line 7).
From the subway a 2 minutes walk to Yijun Road between Shuangshan Road and Ansai Road, there are 7 BBS along this small stretch of road with girls ranging from 6 to a good more then a few 9's.
The first one I checked out was before I came across ISG was 300 RMB, since going though pages and pages of valuable info, the last of time I only been payed 200 RMB, when I walked in I was quoted 300 but replied with 150 which they refused so I went to walk out when she counted with 200, the standard HJ wasn't working so slipped her and extra 50 and received a semi good BBBJ.
As mentioned this little strip has 7 shops in the area of 200 metres, plus if you like to look around there is another 5 in adjacent streets.

I hadn't been to Manhattan in quite a while, but the last month I had a couple of opportunities to overnight in Shanghai, so thought I would take the plunge.
I still remember the days of the old club on Tongren Lu, but those fun filled nights are long gone. What was then a largely Filipina and Thai population is now almost all Viet and even a few Chinese ladies, with a small number of So. Amer and Indo's thrown in for something different.
I've gotten lucky with the Viet girls for the most part. I admit that I tend to stay away from the stunners as they always have a lot of suitors, and know that they can get a client almost any night. I try to find the fairly new arrivals, and the ones that suit my "look", but aren't always the superstars.
