Went for another QQ session today and no problem. Added a few potential girls to QQ / Wechat and it seems they are all in business.
Tip: for those who have difficulty locating the girls here is my modus of operandi:
1. If the girl has both WC and QQ, contact them via WC;
2. If no WC listed on their ads, contact via QQ and ask for their WC, most girls have both. In fact they all have two phones: one for P4P and one for their regular lives;.
3. After obtaining their service card (listing main nearby cross road and services) usually via a photo, ask them to write in a separate WC / QQ message the crossing. Now you can copy / paste the address in Google translate, which does not work with the photo;
4. When near the main crossing (often near a subway exit), use WC location sharing (uses detailed Baidu maps not Google) which displays the girls location in detail so you can just walk there;May I ask: are you of Asian descent? I've been checking back in the SH forum once in a while to see if the situation has improved and I'm always disappointed. Bad weather off and on, this SN and that MP closing, price increases. This is not quite correct. Google Translate App *can* load a photo (or screenshot) from your album (once in camera part of google translate, click on icon in lower left corner to load album). Did you meet any at an incall?All QQ girls I met work out of their (rented) apartment in local neighborhoods. Which means, often old and crappy places, basic showers and hygiene. Can not be compared to medium level MPs. This for me is a negative on the whole experience. Perhaps the more expensive QQ girls (800-1000) operate out of better places, but I have not tried them.
One thing which is not clear to me is how independent these girls are and what operation is behind it. Since they use the website to advertise and have some photographer taking photos in 3-4 star hotel rooms (quality still crap though), they must use some facilitator. So after you connect the VPN, you need to make sure you close the app entirely. On Android you do that by using the bottom left button to see the list of running apps and swiping the app left (or right, in the newer versions) so it's truly closed and removed from memory. Then you restart it and the camera will work. I have no experience with Apple products.
If that doesn't work, then the app isn't going through your VPN connection I think. I'm using Astrill.

After trail and error, I got it working on Google, though it is not stable. Sometimes when connected to a US server it does not work but at least it can work. Also, I found out that we do not have to use Google (and VPN) but can simply use WC scan function which is used to scan the QR codes. Open the scan QR function, then press "Translate" on the right bottom, then press the photo / album icon on the right bottom and select the photo which you want to translate from your phone photo album (you have to save the photo first from QQ or WC to the phone of course). This works very well and does not need VPN (just like the regular WC translation function in a chat). However, using Google is better due to the fact that you can also see the exact pinyin translation, so if you can read pinyin then you get a more precise meaning.
Now we should be unstoppable and the QQ girls can expect a wave of hungry foreign punters!

I live in Shanghai and visit ladies for incall now and then. But I take my precautions!
I prefer places that are somehow modern, mainly multistorage places where you can walk in and take the escalator to the designated floor and apartment. It is good if it is a building with some other foreigners walking in and out.
You have to be aware that if you are visiting local Chinese houses, you are like a red flag.
First of all the local people around you will know, that you do not belong there. But more important is, that it is more the rule than exception that there are guards observing what is going on in their "jurisdiction", the compound you are visiting. Those are hired people, and for long time it has been their job to ensure, that people living there behave "correct".
You may see them, maybe not. They may ask you where you are going. Never, never tell them the apartment number you are to visit. Tell a lie and get out of there. They know who lives behind the door you mention or enter. And many of them are from the period in this country, where spying on each other was normal. So they know their job. And some of them might be happy to tell about their observations. Maybe not to hurt you, but specifically the lady you are visiting.
This "sport" of controlling other people has been enforced during the special event in Shanghai. Some guards have been equipped with an orange jacket. And it is not to tell that they want to help you.
So take your precautions doing incalls. For sure QQ-girls are to be found at a low price and the hunting is exiting. But unfortunately also risky.
My advice is to make a date with respected independent escorts. Some of them do incall, some not. But even if you invite her to your hotel, she is professional, probably knows your hotel and for sure how to behave and is eager to help you with a safe date, important to her too. Still the closure during the expo is much less than it was last year during the election. Many places are still opened to old customers and are very active since competition is rare. Local authorities are fine with it as long as only long time members are allowed in and no public advertising is visible.

What do you guys think?Starting to return to normal, might take a while to get back to full strength as people start to return from vacation. In some cases they've been gone for a month or even longer by this point and might not be back immediately, I think the only ones still working were the ones who stayed here the entire time rather than going home (might explain in part why a Spring of all things would be packed, with not enough supply to meet the demand). I believe they were allowed to reopen as soon as Saturday, but maybe half or more are still closed due to lack of staff.
On the flip side, sitting out for so long will inevitably lead to some MPs. Particularly the ones that couldn't float a veggie side business during that time. Shutting down altogether. Renovation work is fairly common during idle periods, but sometimes you come back and find that a place has new tenants that don't retain the business model or has been changed into something else entirely. And of course, after leaving Shanghai for an extended while many girls will simply call it quits. Shops will find new replacements, and you'll just have to hope that they're as good as the ones that left. With any luck, the effects won't be as pronounced as last year's elections.

Arrived in Shanghai Saturday the 10th, everything was closed up tight. Both Judy's (with police out front) and Manhattens closed. Some guys on motorcycles cruising around saying all closed. Take you to a Lady's Bar. Did not try.
It is true! Manhatten is open for business again. Got there around midnight Thursday night & it was packed with both guys & gals. Great selection and seemed to be activity for the girls. Many said they came in on Thursday, but don't know when Manhattan officially re-opened. Only downside was the price. Many girls asking for 1500 for short time. In April, that changed. They appear to have a 'monitoring room' and have stationed a security guard at the back door. He calls to the front desk whenever anyone brings in what looks like a guest. They then will call the room, asking you to register your guest. Not a cumbersome process, but a new one. The process was repeated again Thursday night. So, girl friendly, just not as girl friendly as it once was.
Anyone have a local hotel where you can avoid registration?

After couple of criticism on asking help thought to post this real experience.
Was avoiding this as I my self still could not believe it happened to me.
Came here from India for business trip last month. Visited bund. Went to East Nanjing Rd Subway and took exit 3. Out of 2 local guys one approached me and gave me one photo. Said only 200 for good. Massage. Was very tired and followed him. He handed over me to lady name l I l I her number ends with 5781. She took me in taxi. Asked 3 to 4 times when I came and when I am going back. Safer side I said next week and that was catch. She asked taxi driver to go to other location and said that she will take good care of me. On reaching venue one lady was waiting. Both escorted me to one building 19th floor. 3 to 4 ladies were there. I felt something fishy. But it was too late. Lili left me after locking me in one room with all sofa. Other lady forced me to select one lady. I did. Thought I can escape. But no real drama started. I refused many times but she pulled my Johnny and stared stroking. I kept refusing but she was also frightened and told me that it's her job and she has to do it. After 10 minutes nothing happened so she gave up. Asked me to wait in the room.
Couple of ladies came inside room. Again same questions when you came and when are you leaving.
Now 3 men cam. 2 body builder and one average body look like their boss. He said never enter any place without knowing price and service. He said give 10 k RMB or he will give me to police and publish my video. I was so frightened. He took my cards and swiped 2 times. It's was not 10 k but amount was not less. Somehow escaped. Lesson learned.

I have to say there must a good half a dozen stories about the Touts taking somebody off to other places in Shanghai and robbing them of their money. After twenty years of doing Shanghai and other China cities. I have heard it all.
When I am in SH I have dinner at the Bund. Usually meet somebody for dinner. If I get there early, stand out front and have a smoke. The Touts always come up to me and offer something. I just play along with them, sometimes ten minutes. It really gets good, what they are offering. I have learned not to turn them down immediately, just listen and ask questions. After a while they give up or my dinner companion shows up and we go up to eat. Being nasty to the Touts gets nowhere and just makes them more aggressive.
With Manhattans and Judy's and all the independent lady's that are discussed on this board, why anyone would go with a Tout is beyond reason. When I have nothing else better to do, go to Xin Tian Di and get a bottle of wine and sit and watch and enjoy (only in summer, too cold other seasons). You get approached all the time, I always have a few extra glasses so I can share the wine. Sometimes you get lucky, other times it just kills the time.
First time travelers to SH, that want to monger, need to do a lot of homework in these times. With all the crackdowns going on, and the penalty of loosing your Visa if you get caught in an unwanted situation. Little tricks of traveling worldwide, I always keep the hotels number of both of my phones. If you get taxi driver who doesn't understand you or you are at the airport, just call the hotel and ask them to tell driver where you want to go. I also keep the front desk managers WE CHAT available too. Knowing these people is important. I get my China Mobile recharged with money from them. They just add 200 rmb to my phone number from their account and I give them cash. Bringing them a little gift an each visit helps a lot. I always stay at the same hotels, this way you make a lot friends from the bell boys up to the managers. Makes life a lot easier.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience. If you are staying in a Chinese hotel, then order room service from the hotel spa. It will be expensive but it is safe and convenient. This is what I do when I travel within China. Always overpriced but convenient. Otherwise most MPs off the beaten path has extras available. Otherwise spend about an hour reading the forum. You will find all kinds of useful info. Maybe try a nearby Spring MP. But you kind of have to be a bit familiar with the drill and with the different Springs, YMMV.

I was at a hotel on PanYu Rd, inside hotel there is a massage place which you can only reach there by going in hotel. The hotel is Crown Plaza at Pan Yu Rd. The spa is Actually on -1 in hotel and only accessible through a door down with stairway.
I am not sure if I can bring a Report on try to bring a girl upstairs but I do found some traveling Viets in Hangzhou Bay. If you use WeChat to search people nearby. Since there has been a bit of discussion on availability near Crowne Plaza on Panyu, let me add some intel. There is a spa right around the corner. The signage is huge, but the name of the spa is hard to make out because of the fancy lettering, but maybe it is called Shanana. It is located in the basement. The place is huge. Many corridors and huge sitting area. They have two types of providers. The legit ones wear something like Hawaiian shirts, LOL. The ones that offer HJ are dressed in quasi nurse uniforms. But for the latter gals, the rates are very high. The cheapest is 588 rmb for an 80 minute stress relief massage. And then to get an HJ, they usually start the negotiation at 1000 rmb. Some will go down to 300, but some will not even do it for 500, believe it or not. The other down side is that all the showers in the rooms have been shut down since the crackdown, so you have to shower in a separate large shower room and there's the real risk that you may run into someone you know since the spa is well known and has lots of customers.
There is a spa on 390 Panyu, which SNR gives me credit for discovering. I am not sure I discovered it, but I did previously report on this place. It used to be a KB place (BBBJ with CIM) before the crackdown, but after the crackdown it looked like it was reborn as a legit place. I went there for a foot massage and the provider was annoyed and told me to get a spa next time. Sure enough, on the menu there are spa services and massage services. There are two spa options, one for 388 and another for 588. Both offer HJ, but a 200 tip is often necessary. BTW, the 588 option is just 2 gals.

Lot of "I am waiting for you", "I am your girlfriend", etc. Since I travel to China quite often we met again at the beginning of November and finally did the deed. She tried to ask me for taxi money before she came and saw me, but I refused. She asked for money "to help her out" which I took as "I need money to have sex with you".
Fast forward three and a half weeks later, I get a WeChat message, that says she missed her period and we need to talk. I used a condom when I had sex with her and it did not break and looked completely normal when we finished. I deleted her but forgot to block her. Anyway, the next morning, I get a friend request "I am pregnant, I will call the police". So I accept her and talk with her for a while, making it clear it was not mine. She said it is yours, lets do DNA, I will get a lawyer, etc. I said then get an abortion, and she told me that she needs 12,0000 rmb for the abortion. I said no, only 5,000 rmb. (Always have that little doubt in the mind that the condom worked – it has like a 2% failure rate). She said OK, and that she would got to the hospital right now. "I am on my way", "meeting with Doctor now", etc. Were the messages for the next 20 minutes. She said that the Doctor said it would cost 12,000. I said send me a picture of you at the hospital. Ten minutes later she said that she couldn't and she was back already. She kept up with "you are shirking your duty", "don't you want me to have a good hospital for the service", "you should come here and we go together", "get one of your Chinese friends to help you", "do you want me to be born", and "lets get married". All this for the next 20 minutes. Eventually, I said that 5000 was sufficient, and she kept saying "insufficient". I finally, blocked then deleted her.
I have done some research online after this and it seems that this not an uncommon scam especially in Thailand. Fortunately I used my secondary WeChat account so I can block, delete and the delete the WeChat account. Have any of you long time mongers seen this particular scam.

I visited a supposed Sauna which ended up being a scam setup. (99% certainty). Through a wechat account I was told of a Hui Suo facility in Pudong and passed on visiting initially. I was given pricing for time / full service but my gut felt off and something didn't feel right. After a few days I said changed my tune and decided to give it a try. I still had a cautious attitude only bringing cash with me and deleting my bank apps from my phone.
Anyways upon arriving a doorman open the door before I could reach it and was seated in a waiting room where the manager came by to ask if I had an appt, with whom, and if I knew the pricing. I wanted the bottom tier pricing of 1688 and was escorted to a room where they gave me a bathroom and tiny underwear to change into. The room was high quality and had its own bathroom / shower but I immediately thought it was weird there wasn't a central locker and showering area. And I hadn't seen another customer in the lobby or hallways. After changing a girl came to the room, said her name and asked if she was OK. She was attractive but I said no out of habit to see the next one. I have done some research online after this and it seems that this not an uncommon scam especially in Thailand. Fortunately I used my secondary WeChat account so I can block, delete and the delete the WeChat account. Have any of you long time mongers seen this particular scam.

Just block her, delete her and move on. Finding a taxi or didi in SH takes longer than 20 minutes. One friend told me that they helped another guy, who paid 5,000 (she wanted 50,000), but he had sex with her without a condom.
I just wanted to make everyone aware that this scam exists. Even if I had paid, I am sure there would be another message of "the procedure did not work, I need another 12,000" or something like that. It seems that this scam is very common in Thailand from what I have seen.

Reading about recent scam experiences in Shanghai (remember Scamhai - LOL), we should not forget that CNY is approaching fast and lots of girls / operators need to make sufficient money to face the folks back home. Depending on what time you go, you sometimes had to wait, and sometimes you had to wait in the lobby area. But yeah, I did like the place for a while. There was a month where I went pretty much every other day. After all, why not? LOL. But eventually, the dank, unclean, cold, and wet rooms, the cigarettes in the showers, the wet beddings, the tiny and still damp towels, etc. , got me turned off. I am pretty sure I got sick one time because of the poor conditions of that place. Since there seems to be a little confusion as to the state of things here recently:
During the dubbed "soft reopen" after the doors were reopened, some individual girls came back (they live here after all) before the boss did. If you had their contact info you could try to arrange something directly, but this was inevitably chaotic with no one running the show. Some counter staff eventually tried to imbue some sense of order. Or at least tried to limit the number of people randomly roaming about. But seemingly didn't pull it off with much efficacy. I am double confirming on DoitUnderwaters report about Changshou Road being open. Before I reached the front desk I was immediately whisked away to a room where 315 or 815 was called to my room. She was a pleasant young girl. Easy on the eyes but neither attractive or ugly. She spoke in a fake Japanese like accent and said she was Vietnamese. When she called the phone operator immediately started speaking perfect Chinese and said someone else picked her and had to go to another room. Within a minute a different older gal #20 walked in. Probably a bait and switch but whatever. Same idea here, some time ago I was in the neighbourhood of ex-Sacrosa and could not resist the temptation to check out the current situation. Went up the elevator to 4F and it had turned into some educational facility LOL. But the boss used to have shops in hongmei road (closed since the minhang change of local gov a couple years ago), gubei, pudong, etc. All of his shops have been closed as a word of caution (even though many were opened during the expo and were in full activity).
A big place on the Jiuxin Highway in Songjiang District was raided and shut down mid December.
A bathhouse was reported getting "visited" in Jing'an and several MPs in Putuo, Minhang and Songjiang have been "visited" some decided to stay closed.
You're getting by the end of the year, police need to adjust their track records for the year and new negociations for the following year regarding the amount of hong bao are starting. So in short is very unstable till after the CNY.

You can tell her to meet you at a public place of the hotel, for example the bar, that is open to the public and head to your room afterwards. Also, meeting her outside the hotel could be a good idea. Ask your guest to be discreet while in public. For example, if you don't talk and she walks behind you it can be seen as two people who are going to the same floor by accident. I recommend to use a big hotel where lots of people come and go through the lobby rather than a small hotel where you can stand out easily. Enjoy!

I am a long time lurker here and finally decided to share some reports and stories I have accumulated over the past decade.
First, there are two run of the mill jack shacks on Wuyi Rd near Kaixuan Rd across the street from the gas station, just over 5 minutes walking from 2/3/4.
The first one is right on the corner by the hotel and the fruit store, pretty much unmarked but quite obvious. This one is 258, shower in room followed by 15 minute or so massage. I've lived in Shanghai 7 years and tried most of it, from the golden age of spas such as 999 (sigh) to Judy's / Manhattan to cheap barber shops and massage parlors.
If you just need to get off from an old not so attractive woman, go for the barber shops. They are around 200 - 300 for a quick no frills 30-min HJ / BJ / FS session. What you get depends on your haggling skills. I only tried these a couple times in Pudong area a few years back. Not my thing.
Sexy spas have pretty much been chased out of the city. My local contacts are all operating for outfits out in Kunshan and beyond now. Takes too long to get to but if you want Chinese stunners you will find them here. Girls range from 6 to perfect 10. Prices range from 1500 RMB to over 6000 RMB for "Ferrari models". Service is generally great, but you can get FS and good service for much cheaper. If you want a local contact for these kinds of places, I have a few.
Judy's / Manhattan are great if you want a sexy Vietnamese for 1000 - 1500. These girls range from 6 to 9 in looks and 18 to 30+ in age. However, service level varies wildly and your mileage WILL vary based on your chemistry with the girl and language. Finally, after long time lurking, a small report from my side.

Also don't be following touts around and stay away from Nanjing East, you will likely get scammed. Unless you can speak basic Chinese your best bet is Judys or Manhatten. If you can get a decent looking Viet to go home with you for the evening for 1200 or less, you have done quite well. Otherwise troll the forum for recent reports.

Hey fellas, plan on being in Shanghai in April for a couple weeks to meet a conservative Chinese lady I met on DIA, but in case it doesn't work out, I'm looking for a viable backup plan. Background: I was in Shanghai in 2007, so here is what I know / remember:
Stayed in a small hotel near the Hilton. The Hilton had a special elevator to go to a floor not open to the general public where they had a sauna and you could choose a girl to fuck. I don't know of much in Jiading, but my limited experience there is that there is not much on the surface. Adding some detail to the more discrete spot on Fahuazhen near Yanan station that was posted about just before pooh bear came to town.

Also as to che king who you have with you depends on the neighbourhood and how well it is supervised, for example if it is a gated community is there a guard house at the community gate.

I know some believe manhattans have the finer women. I've seen it ebb and flow over the years. Since judys is a new bar near Manhattan's it's Hard to tell which truly has the better quality if there's even a difference.
I tend to do better at judys for some reason. Maybe cause I start. At Manhattan's and end at judys. This time I should try in reverse.Over the years Manhattan has ALWAYS held sway over Judys in pure beauty and age of the Viets. YES plenty times there are GEMS in Judys and I would say lately the top girls in Judys every bit as good as top girls in Manhattan. But the Manhattan crowd of Chinese guys are bigger spenders so the top tier girls get more $$$s in Manhattan. Do not discard either. Cruise both and you will find what you desire.
As for Judys being a new bar that is far from the case. Judys 1 on Maoming Lu predated the very first Manhattan. Then they both moved to central Tongren Lu side by side until that strip of shops was demolished and Manhattan moved to current location on Nanyang Lu whilst Judys moved to end of Tongren Lu where it operated for a couple of years then shifting to current location on Tongren Lu.
When they were side by side middle Tongren Lu Manhattan was 60-70% Filipinos and lesser crowd Viets where Judys was mostly Viets. When Judys shifted to end Tongren Lu there was always a great supply Africans. Even in current location they had good supply Africans until only last 12 mths or so and now they are banned. Had some of the best girls ever from both locations but alas that is a memory now.
Either Judys or Manhattan are still best bets in SH for 'grab'and'go' - Jan 8 I had just a stunner Viet from Judys for 1500 2 hrs 2 pops. Young and fresh and she had a distict Spanish look about her but she assured me whilst she hears that a lot both her parents Viets.

The reason I haven't written a review of the last time I mongered in Shanghai was that I wasn't on ISG, Secondly I was hoping for a senior such as yourself have done no different than I have when I mongered at Manhattan. Thirdly about being lazy, I was looking for exclusivity which I thought you might help in provide but unfortunately failed to see my intent. Lastly I do share contacts and experience with my fellow brothers, what I don't do is broadcast to the masses and provide contacts to people who are here just to window shop. I believe in a fair barter (Which you may see as "The Point" on ISG) in my opinion Wrongly so.

Yes, that's exactly what happens in India. You're completely Right, But let me get you on a secret (Which isn't a secret actually), we're a country with a population of excess of a billion people (FYI 1/6th of the world Population) where in 65% of US are in age group ranging from 16-40, we are chaotic. Some of them might be lazy. But we have the fastest and also the very most accurate (Reports / reviews) on any forms. 70% of posts are from people who have just joined ISG and have almost no idea where to start, In looking for help, Judgmental people such as yourself post insults and irrelevant judgments on them.

While I agree manhattans has the better girls usually, I have seen nights when I was surprised to see judys better stocked. Not often granted but I have seen it move both ways. to say ALWAYS. Is a statement I can't make in the 10 years I've been going because I am not ALWAYS there. This is my first post on ISG. I am an occasional traveler to Shanghai and have been going to Manhattan and Judy's for the past few years with mixed experiences. I got a Viet last night from Manhattan and she asked me to make the payment first before we got down to business. I had already negotiated 1200 in the bar and after giving the payment in the hotel room she started rushing me. I knew this was going to be bad. I hate giving the payment first because then the girl gets in control and has no more interest in satisfying me. - never go to girls apartments - always be in control of your situation - I think one exception to this may be incalls with girls affiliated with a reliable agency that likely cares about its reputation. But it still scares me a little, and some of these girls live in shitty compounds so you may stick out when you're walking around looking for the building.
