I continuously figure out all alternative new ways to monger, but hell here is a nightmare.Once understood that Shanghai for mongering is more difficult than Vatican City, I just wanted to relax and forget. Indeed, my last night in Shanghai was a different one, but not as I planned it to be.

For my last night, once finished my business in Pudong, I moved to a hotel near People's Park. I planned to go to a very good restaurant recommended me by the concierge of my first hotel.

It is about 10 minutes from People's Park, so I left my hotel around 20:30. That taxi driver I found was a total idiot. He took me from People's Park to my previous hotel in Pudong (30 minutes driving time) instead of taking me to the restaurant, because he saw the heading on top of the paper where the concierge wrote address and name of the restaurant (which was the main largest thing printed there). I shouted at him and he did not understand why, until the valet of the hotel explained him. Then, 40 more minutes to go the restaurant, which was just 10 minutes from the starting point.

I arrived there at 21.45, to find it lonely and with kitchen closed. The boys at restaurant did not speak a single word of English, but with Google Translate they could help me to find a place to eat. I asked a place open till late for crayfish. They also called a taxi for me.

The new place was in a very lively area full of places to eat, open till midnight or so. The place where I was recommended to go was the busiest. Very very good! A huge plate of crayfish for 158 or so.

I started to talk with a girl accompanied by another girl. I immediately understood they were a lesbian couple. First time I meet here someone so friendly who wants to talk to me in Shanghai.

I offered to buy my second plate if they wanted to share. Her odd reply (odd for me European, but natural for a Chinese) was "hmmm ok but what do you mean with "share"? Share the plate or also the bill?" Of course, I would never invite anyone to eat something with me, if I am not keen to pay the bill.

After one hour talking and eating, I asked them to join me for fun in bars. So off we went. They proposed to take me to "Found 158", which I discovered is a very trendy area with many western-style bars. We had a lot of fun in a latin bar with latin music. 60% western and 40% chinese. I was mouth-watering for the crowd of sexy chinese (even blond) girls on high heels. Mouth-watering, but not regretting I was with the two, because I knew the sexy Chinese were out of my reach (next time I should drive there with a Lamborghini, and my experience would be probably different).

We did not no anything besides holding hands and dancing keeping the feminine of the two in the middle, but however what else I could do in Shanghai? We left the bar at 2:45.

This was my only night of fun in a week of work and business here. Shit!

At night, there are from 3 to 7 ladies loitering in the lobby or outside entrance area of the 5-start hotel in Pudong where I stayed for one week. I have some empirical samples to share. Based on that, my recommendation to anyone new is: AVOID.

1) A friend of mine, an old man but still somehow naive, took one of them to his room. 1000Y to get just a HJ, in spite of much more promised. I guess he was even lucky to not be cheated more or stolen.

2) The first night, I started to chat with one of them. Pretty and very talkative. Her price is 2000Y, which "just for me" could be lowered to 1500 Y, but for CBJ and CFS. NO WAY she could do a BJ uncovered, for any price. I passed.

3) Another night, I took one to my room. Negotiated price was 800Y for BBJ and covered FS. She looked nice and talkative. Once in the room, she started to play silly, ask all money first, saying bullshit, saying that she cannot BBJ, etc.
I took less than 10 minutes to kick her out from my room. To lubricate her feet towards the door, I put 100Y in her hands, but hell she asked 200! So I simply took her bag and pulled her arm out of the room, and closed the door on her face.

4) Another night, I noticed one who looked different from others. Well, the reason I noticed her was her nylon socks. You know the Chinese version of stockings. In Europe, they end at thigh. In China, they end at ankle. I cannot understand how a lady who plans to go to proposition business men in a 5-star hotel could wear those nylon short socks, but this is China. We exchanged Wechat IDs and I left her (too many colleagues attending my same event going around in lobby even at late hours).

We had some 2 days of conversation on Wechat, by means of the Wechat translator (imagine the depth of conversation). This made me think she looked somehow reliable, so a night I told her to wait me outside the hotel, I gave her my card, and I waited her in my room.

She came up accompanied by a third girl, who was with her in the garden. I simply said "Hello," and "bye" to the two, respectively, and I closed the door on the face of the unwanted second guest.

Then, we started an extenuating negotiation about money first or after. She looked sincerely worried I could not pay her. At the end, I took my 800, put them in the drawer, then told her to start massage or leave.

I skip details, but after some stressful pull-and-push I got progressively: a nice 1-hour massage, her completely naked one piece after the other, her giving me BBBJ (even good one!). At the end, and after promising to top up to 1000, I even put half of my dick for a while inside her. The interesting thing was that she seemed react as "electrified" whenever I could touch her clit, like a Galvani's frog.

This girl is the only I had in my bed in one week in Shanghai, and I do not regret it. Expensive 30yo, but cheap and good considered the environment.
My understanding is that this girl was the only honest one I could meet at hotel lobby, probably new to the city from the country.

There is a small area south of Nanjing Rd where there are a few massage places, clearly oriented to the tourists. Hungry as a beast I tried 3 of them on different nights or days.

1) Place 1.
Girls are dressed with long black pants and white shirt. I chose the most expensive massage from the menu: 498 for 1. 5 h and oil. The place looks somehow "upscale", the room was nice, with shower to refresh me before and after. The girl very nice and even pretty. Massage well done!
After 1 hour, the hint if I wanted something more. Requested 500 more, but I said I wanted only massage, and however I had no money. At the end, some 300 tip yielded the happy ending and some roaming inside the shirt. All this achieved because I promised to call her next day to my hotel. Of course I did not, because she said she does not give FS neither BJ. However, the perspective to milk some more money in the future makes miracles in these girls.

2) Place 2.
Another night, I went to another right next to place 1. This place looked upscale too, and very professional. I noticed a group of Chinese young guys entering it the night before, so I decided to try. Indeed, the place is professional. I got an EXCELLENT Chinese massage, but from a BOY. No way I could find a way to complain, although horrified, once I saw the boy entering the room. I enjoyed the massage, professionally given, and that was all. 298 for 1 hour.

3) Place 3.
My last day, 2 hours before heading to airport, I chose another place next to the previous two. This looked much lower style. The girl was older, with sexy short skirt. She offered HJ for 300 besides the plain 300 of the massage and even gave me her boobs to kiss. SCARED as hell that police could come and see her doing that. The experience was frankly bad, and I did that only because extremely horny after one week of poor life in Shanghai, but the girl was not a bad one.

You seem to forget a detail. In none of the places you listed the scammer occurrence rate is so high. This limits the number of viable options down to nearly zero, if one is considerate. I tended to consider the risk of scam here on the same order as in some big city of the 3rd world, if it wasn't that I received a surprising high number of warnings from local people, who apparently wanted to save me even if we did not have a special relation with them. Maybe I looked good to their eyes, and wanted to save me from local gangsters.
Frankly, this is the first time that such a thing happens to me, and I traveled to many seedy places in Asia, Africa, South America.

The girl that I met at my hotel lobby and that I took to my room (point 4 in report Empirical samples: ladies at hotel (http://www.internationalsexguide.nl/forum/showthread.php?945-East-China-Shanghai&p=2327376&viewfull=1#post2327376)) just one day I after we met, and without me asking her anything, wrote me on WeChat some messages that translated by WeChat verbatim say:
"There is a guy who asks you to drink, do not go with them to the bar, you will kill yourself"
"There's a lot of girls with men behind them, and they are fucking foreigners money"
"Did someone ask you to go to a bar?"
"Have you ever been stolen?"
"You go to the bar, they're poisonous. You drink their wine, it'll cost you a fortune"
"The guys told me to work with them, find the guests, take them to their bar, get a drink, share the money, but I cannot do it"

And later about the girls who loiter at the lobby of my 5-star hotel at Pudong (my question was: "do girls at hotel lobby steal?"):
"Some of the girls at the pub, some of the girls were robbing the bar"
"Other girls steal very badly"

I skipped my replies, which I gave her to stimulate her to write more and provide more information, and I did not correct the English as provided by Wechat's Microsoft Translator (poor them that they don't want to use Google services).

Usually they leave me alone after that. A friend of my get caught and spend a lot of money (cannot remember how much. Something like 6000 yuan or the like). Luckily so far I found a lot of nice people here and until few months ago also a lot of fun. Hope that after this holiday things go back to normality otherwise I will ask to be moved somewhere else.

I have spend the last two weekends in SH and for me it's Game over. I had no responses to Wechat not even from pimps. My favorite go to massage parlor is not only closed but completely gutted. I would recon there is now a large population of CN males that are frustrated by this "situation" seems to be just the opposite of a government that wants to keep the population happy. Many workers are displaced with family at home. Will this drive them back home where they can be controlled better?

Recently, line-ups at spas are rare these days. I still see them on the rare occasion, but again, very rarely. And I'the be surprised if a hotel spa will have a line-up. Management likely is going to pretend they are a legit spa just for show, especially during the current crackdown. And, in the massage rooms, the girl may be afraid of being caught offering more than a hand job, and if she is willing to offer more, then it'll be with her clothes half on and probably only mish and will try to rush you..I ended up not playing in Shanghai during my one-night stay. I had dinner with some old friends until kind of late, and was no more in mood to call my hotel in-house spa for service. Also kind of to my surprise, when I was walking on Nanjing Road to the bund, nobody approached me with massage / girls / etc. Maybe I am Chinese, or maybe the weather is not good. Safety was OK. Good service and standard girls, good and not good looking. All choices. Prices respected as per wechat message.

Sincerely I never had safety problem in China, people always behaved nice. You respect them, they respect you. And if something happened I did not like, I just politely refused and left. No issues. The only advice I had always from friends and from the reports you can read on this thread, was to never, ever go with those who stops you in the touristic place and ask you if you want a "lady massage" or tea test. Those are scams.

I think police should shut down these organizations, not our beloved he massages places!

A manager from a big high end sauna & cigar lounge showed me the sms which she got asking her to close until June 25 or 26th I forgot.

Shanghai is under heavy inspection from the disciplinary commission or however its called and not just Shanghai. The high end sauna chain I'm talking about had to close in Zhejiang, Jiangsu aswell and was still opened in Shenzhen at the time but maybe that changed since then.

We'll know end June / begining of July if the wind cools down or if we are in for another cycle. Its likely the current tension with the US is not helping since it creates tension within the party.

YES I have no doubt my 2 favourite bars in Nanyang Lu / TongRen Lu area will re-open in a bit. It's an interesting period we are going through.

Couple more places visitors might like to hit up. Windows Garage on Nanjing Lu late nights late week usually has wall to wall Africans. Nest on Beijing Lu has a good cross section Chines / Internationals almost every night from 11 pm on. If they are sitting at the bar it's a great indication they yearn for male company.

Get out there and attack guys. There is a never ending supply. Just go cut one from the herd.

Last week I tried the MP on 1565 Huashan Lu as some others seem to be veggie only at the moment.

When I walked in the receptionist directly recommended the "lymp massage" for 258 RMB which was advertised on the counter. After double-confirming ("is this a special massage" - "yes it is") I was sent to the room and asked if I would like to take a shower first (on the floor). After 10 minutes or so, a mid-/ end-30 (6/10) showed up and started the usual routine (back massage for about 20 minutes, then big focus on the lower region), Flip, HJ). After that again shower on the room.

After the flip, she asked for a tip before she started the HJ, but we didn't talk about any amount. Gave her in the end 100 and was a bit surprised that she seemed to be not satisfied.

Overall average girl but good massage, good HJ, total damage 358 RMB.I went there today. It was closed. Just and FYI, in case anyone was thinking about making a trip there.

This was my second session with HuJing, first was about a year ago but the pickings have become a bit dry in the meantime. I speak Chinese so the setup was easy, but her English is definitely more than adequate and should have no issues conversing with international clients. I booked a 2 hour full service+massage option 3 k. Usually I find that pricey but I wanted a nice massage along with FS and my usual options were unavailable due to the wind. Had her come to my apartment / hotel lobby and she was kind enough to wait about 10 min while I cleaned up.

As expected my stay there in Shanghai was a bit of a disappointment. I can confirm as of Thursday night both M&J are still closed. I also went looking for Windows Garage on Nanjing but it too is closed and moved to another location.

On Thursday the Spot opened back up in its new location right next to Judys. I probably spotted less than 3 ladies who were looking for friendship. Down at the Blind Pig I spotted the same two on consecutive nights. They were 7-8's. Overall the cupboard is bare, as expected.

I have lived in Shanghai in 2008-2010 and then again since 2015. As we all know those early days were golden. I remember some visits to one of the many legendary places (whose name I don't recall) where you'd have a fabulous variety of sexy young girls to choose from. In the evenings there are some business obligations and we always enjoy our dinners and other outings. Each time there is an extensive anti-mongering campaign, things ease up but never return to the way they were.

Bottom line: Some of the zealousness will fade, but certain restrictions will linger. We will never, I feel, get back to 5 years ago or even 3 years ago. Wishful thinking won't change that.

Stephen ran a site, SNG, similar to the current NLO. His assistant and at least a dozen johns were arrested too. The johns were in jail for 2 weeks, to provide testimony against Stephen and his assistant. Apparently, LE was able to locate the johns using the assistant's phone, and hotel security cameras confirmed the meetups.

Just before the current crackdown, Rain got busted along with 4-5 of her gals. She ran a well known outcall agency, catering to foreigners. I would be surprised if they didn't bust some johns too, in order to get testimony against Rain.

Stephen's arrest occurred around the time of the previous crackdown, not the current crackdown. Stephen ran a site, SNG, similar to the current NLO. Yeah, appears to be eastern part of China, definitely multiple provinces but the whole country (yet). People in the 5-star hotel said they did not know what the government was doing, just that all bars and massage places had to shut. This was hundreds of miles away from Shanghai.

My recent experiences:

Last action was a month ago in my usual go to HJ MP at Jiashan Rd, and that was already sort of messy with strict policy toward wearing shorts, and only 1 shower available for the whole MP.

Tried to get back there 2 or 3 times over the last month, was still opened but they only provided foot massage (was not really in the mood).

Been back on Sunday and that was now closed. Managed to talk with someone through the locked glass door and they say they were handling some renovations. Classic excuse lately as per other members reports.

Also tried to get actions from other MP I was a regular in:

- Spring Massage at Madang Road: Could spot old & ugly masseuses upstairs, which prevented me to go for it, as normally this place has nicer ones. They were still offering the massage at 388 RMB though, so could have lead to some little action.

That being said you need to speak chinese and have done your homework in the past to be connected to most options and noone is going to publish specific options in the open or to a 2 post user.

In Suzhou and other cities there were / are Chinese "dance halls" (baidu search "wu ting" but in Chinese characters). Basically it's a place open around 8 am-10 pm that play traditional Chinese music and alternates "fast dances" with bright lights and "slow dances". During the slow dances they darken the room a lot, you pay girls 20-40 rmb, and then you can dance with them and feel them up in the dark. If you speak Chinese and the girls like you, you can often get more. Some freelancers hang out in there and try to get you to leave with them right away, but most girls just come in and make the 20-40 rmb fee from each dance. Thank god! I was really fearing it'd be another Dongguan situation in the Jiangsu / Shanghai area. Worst crackdown since I've been in China. About half the places I know of closed up permanently and became new stores. Hoping Nanjing / Suzhou / Wuxi / Kunshan start following suit and re-opening MPs.So far, the only MP that I've heard isn't reopened yet is Spring / Yu. When they reopened after the previous crackdown, their off menu options dramatically decreased. I wonder if the same will happen this time, or if they will rebrand completely. Or if something else is going on with them.

It was said here the anti gang task force sent from BJ was to leave Shanghai around the 30th of June and places would reopen from the 26th for legit places, 28/29th for bars and some MPs, up to the end of the following week.

I witnessed just that, with some HJ / BJ MPs opening on the 29th, 30th, 1st. And wechat announcement for other places they'd reopen on the 5th and 6th.
Pretty much 80 to 90% of the places I knew of in may 2019 have reopened. As reported by members here, it was pretty packed in the shops last weekend with lots of new girls.

Shanghai has announced dismantling 176 criminal gangs and opening 1 year of investigation against them focusing on shark loans and such... lets hope that keeps BJ happy and that SH won't look too much at our hobby. I am finally back in SH and able to make a good field report. After all the bad weather reports lately I am pleased to say that things are open for business again. Biggest difference I noticed was most of the external signs for MP's are gone. Some of the facilities are also gone (physically removed) or changed to different business.

Besides they aren't raiding shops with cars activating red and blue lights, else by the time they'd get to the massage room they wouldn't witness anything.
Most raids are done by civil cloth officers, the swat then comes in but arrests already started in the shop and you see people running not just standing by.

Rather than accept that wechat is Chinese LE's main tool to link mongers, you talk about some broader technology concerns that are not specific to China. (I've had one of my own mongering wechats hacked into by LE.). This has to do with the Chinese govt's unique relationship with wechat. Anyway, I don't use separate wechats in the same phone. If Ihad, I would have likely been detained during that hack.

So you have the luxury to explore. Ever since the MPs have reopened, I have walked into over a dozen. You can quickly tell if it's legit (for example, the menu might include ear cleaning, all the women look like Shrek, and the most expensive massage is 68 kuai), and if that's not what you want, then walk out. I've gotten serviced at 6 different places so far. But nothing worth reporting about. Massage prices ranged from 398 to 888. Extra services ranged from mechanical HJ for 300 tip with zero roaming, to something BARELY naughtier for 500 tip. My experiences were all blah, or ridiculously stupid expensive. Today, I had a lot of free time, and I didn't even bother going to an MP, even though I was bored as hell.

For an okay HJ, girl may ask for 1000 tip if you are obviously a foreigner, but will always finally agree to 500. If you say no to 500, they sometimes do not care and will let you walk away, believe it or not. I am able to get some down to 300, but most of the time they do not allow roaming. Obviously, most of their guests are from the hotel, and tourists way overpay because they do not know the drill or are nervous. Girls there are 5's and 6's, Near to the Crowne, on 390 Panyu, there is a Fuquan. Again, order from spa menu. Cheapest option is 400. Tip is 300 for a mechanical HJ that lasts for 2 minutes. I suspect you're probably safe with your hotel stays. In general, Chinese LE goes for low hanging fruit. With hotels, wechats and payment not linked to identify (at least not too closely), you're probably safe. It's why people park their bikes next to bikes with weaker locks. Crooks (and Chinese LE) go for the easy one. The guys they get in a raid or with evidence in wechat tied to their identity doc.

Problem is, it's just getting too expensive and cumbersome to monger in Shanghai, compared to any period in the city's history. I don't want to spend 100 bucks on an unnecessary hotel room just to stay in the game safely. At this point, it's just less work and worry to seduce ordinary Shanghai girls. Hi! I have tried a couple of these girls too in these last months and I was lucky having a good experience. I decided to go for higher cost ones, one was 700 the other 1000 because I understood they live in compounds with foreigners too. That was the case for the 1000 but not for the 700 one. I went during the day in this last one and wearing a pair of sunglasess when going in. Nobody stopped me.

Not very happy of the apartments because they are a bit dirty and old, especially the bathrooms. And the best is when you have to dry from the shower: you can get a used towel by "who knows who used it" or a bunch of paper napkins that leaves you all the pieces of paper on you body. I hate that.

By the way both times I had fun, and the ladies were both very nice, pretty and I would say with good skills. I did not know they change apartment often. That's a surprise for me too.

As a foreigner, I've never been allowed to book a Hanting Hotel. And I don't think foreigners are allowed the hourly access and rates anyway. However, there are plenty of other cheap hotels (such as Ji Hotel, 268 Motel, Ibis Hotel) that go for about 200-300 rmb for overnight stay. Surprisingly, the Highton Hotel next to the Hilton Hotel has an overnight rate of about 330, and it's a pretty good hotel, but the location sux because it's almost in the middle of nowhere. Finally, I wouldn't try asking the girls to book the ST hotel. These days, girls do not want to do it, because they do not want a bunch of ST hotel bookings on "their permanent record" and it's not 100% easy for us to sneak into these hotels because they are very small hotels. One time, when I snuck into one, the front desk called the room and asked me to register. (I guess they had nothing better to do than to watch their security cameras.) I said I did not have ID, and then they asked for a bribe. So, I just took off. Another time, I was simply stopped from entering (the person asked me for my room key, and I didn't have one, and then he asked me which room I was going to and I didn't reply, and so he told me to go away). What I do these days is book a 4 star hotel for several days that goes for around 300-500, and then I meet a couple of girls each day. I never sleep there. I do this maybe about once a month or once every two months. It's a mongering stay-cation, LOL.I am living in China for more than 15 years, you are taking a lot of risk just for having some sex. Jb.Agree. Book a room yourself. I book 5 stars with a large lobby. No one would even pay attention when I walk in with a lady. There is a pretty good dodgy KTV open for business where I know one of the mamasan's. Have been there twice over the last year or so. Quality can vary quite a bit, but we twice got a decent litter (about 20-25) to pick from. Earlier can offer more of a selection, but even that can vary. Occasionally I saw some stunners walking through the hallway. Damage was about 7000 RMB total last time for 3 of us (3500 room, tips for 3 girls + the waitress, mamasan etc expecting tips) Depending on the weather, they do some hot dancing and you get to grope aplenty in the dark at some points. Heard from at least 4 different operators that the 5-0 are back in Shanghai, so everyone is laying low or not putting out.A couple of days ago, I booked a room at Henshan Hotel in Xujiahui. One thing I like about this hotel is there are several staircases leading up to all the floors, so no need to use the elevator. However, there was security everywhere. Not only at the front entrance to the hotel, but there were several security on every floor too, and also security even on every staircase between floors. Outside the hotel, there were police everywhere, and many were doing random identification checks on drivers when they were stopped at red lights. It was crazy. I asked my "GF" what was going on, and I guess the bigwigs from the capital are in town, and they're going to leave this weekend. So hopefully LE activity will settle down.

I'm becoming less of a fan of using hotels to meet girls. So, I've been doing a lot of incalls with indies. Maria: She lives in a large stand-alone building on a busy intersection. The first floor of the building is a bunch of small businesses. Entrance into the building is in the back. She lives alone, so no need to worry about a shared bathroom or a roommate. I don't recall there being any security. The elevator does not require a key card. So, you just enter and go up the elevator and knock on her door.

Omochi: She will only provide an intersection or a nearby place outside to meet. Maybe she does this to screen us, but not sure. Anyway, I'm happy that she's careful. She has a roommate, so you should give her significant advance notice so that she can make whatever arrangements with her roommate. Her stand-alone building is on a pretty busy street. There's no security. But either she has to let you into the front gate, or she will buzz you in. Her place is nice. She has a cat in case you're allergic.

Mimi: On her profile, it doesn't say that she offers incall. But she can borrow her friend's place for 200 rmb. So, you need to add 200 rmb to the usual fee. Not sure how long this option is going to last, because the apartment seems un-rented for now, and that could change soon. Right now, the place is practically empty. It's a service apartment. There is a security, but he does not care. Mimi told me it is because he has no idea who lives in the building. The elevator does not require a key card.

Not sure if that's what he meant. No way to arrest a girl in a bar if she's not doing anything. Sex is not illegal in China. Paid sex is. If you and her don't say anything, not much happens. If you admit to paying for it (even if they tell you they just want her) they will arrest you. Don't believe when they say they don't want you.
