Since you don't know who I am, let's say you don't know shit about me, except what I post on these boards. So, I'm gonna assume, you just don't like CPExpat as in the posts he writes on ISG and not the person CPE is in RL.

I too have had strong emotional feeling towards not 1, but 2 prostitutes. It went far beyond the conventional P4P action we see 99% of the time, staying over night several times a week, no cash transactions taking place, dating, yucking it up, etc.

But in the end, the girl either rationalized that there was no future in a relationship, or maybe just a temporary safe-haven from her work. Either way, both went back to doing what they do. They probably never fully stopped, just were not available during the times with me.

End of my "sad" story, I learned not to get too emotionally involved with a girl in this business......So I do relate to his story quite well.

Secondly, I don't see it being so "Way to go dude" like ending, sure he got free sex out of it, but I assume, he was a little stung by the fact that she had evolved into a f/t prostitute and she was certainly shocked/ashamed when she saw him (read his post). So, it is from that time on, I wanted to know if he turned off the feelings he had for her and treated her as a prostitute (which she is) or did he still having feelings for her?

When he "unloaded" on her, was it BBFS, pull out and "unload" on the belly innocent shit, because he wasn't wearing a jimmy or did he pull out and intenionally "unload" on her chest, because he was a bit angry? Most girls in the world do not like guys unloading on them, because they feel it degrading. Was it the innocent, intentional or just the way she likes it?

What you see, is not what others see. Yes, it was a personal experience and not just another name/place/service report, but he did post it, which opens it up to discussion.

Seriously, I don’t dislike you; no I don’t know you, or your posts. It’s just my POV and certainly not a personal attack on you or your cyber space alter ego and accept my apologies if you believe it was.

On the first time of reading I just thought that your question/response to OEM’s report was a bit cynical. I know the use of the term “prostitute” is factual (you do realise you’ve now pointed out 3 times that that indeed is what she is?) but, maybe it’s me, I find it an emotive term that conjures up negative connotations in general and certainly negative connotations that didn’t belong with OEMs report.

After reading your subsequent post on your failed relationships with ahem girls in that business, believe me, I have a lot of empathy for you and your viewpoint.

I worked out of Shekou for a couple of years in the 90’s, and like most of the guys our on-shore time was spent almost exclusively in that strip of bars. In Shekou there were no Irish pubs, no Italian, Brazilian, American restaurants, no seven eleven, no Pizza Hut, no Subway, no ATMs on every other street corner and nobody spoke English. As well as providing the obvious the gals were our dining companions, tour guides, interpreters, Mandarin teachers and much much more. They showed us everything from where to get your laundry done to where to get the best deal when exchanging money. In return we provided an income, paid their fines when they got arrested, which was common, settled their medical bills if they got sick and protected them from some of the worst excesses of the white trash the oil business seem to attract. To be honest it was very difficult not to form a bond with some of the girls and, I was very fond of more than a few. I kept myself on the straight and narrow and didn’t get burned emotionally by reminding myself that we, me and the bar girls, had funnily enough, much in common. Namely this:

1. We were both a long way from home.

2. We were both doing a job that we didn’t particularly want to be doing and one that could be demanding, dirty and dangerous.

3. Our reason for doing our respective jobs was to make as much money as we could in as little time as possible and then get out of there.

I think OEM mentions that, in his opinion, most bar girls, prostitutes, call them what you will, get jaded and cynical after a while and who could blame them? Perhaps you’re suffering from the same sense of “jadedness” and who could blame you?

Maybe you’ve been overdoing things and should take a step back from your hobby for a while and get a fresh sense of prospective.

Second trip to Siebu and it was mixed results, went for a massage first, and it was awful, so bad that I had to quit it half way through, make and excuse and leave.

The girl was lovely, a great personality, tried her hardest to communicate with me, looked after me, made sure I was comfortable, but boy was the massage poor!

After that I went back into Seibu and it was dry. Just to make sure I was in the right area I'll tell you where I went.

I walked down the road along side the department store (store on the left) and carried on untill there was a hospital on the right, and the alley to the left was gated off with a walk through barrier.

Seibu is a big hit and miss there are raid all the time ,yes is cheap sometime you can find a gem but they normally don't offer massage just quick service cost is 150 rmb standard in house ,if you want good service you need to go a sauna massage and much better service cost is 120-200 rmb depend how nice is the sauna and girl want 300 rmb tip for service no rush 90 min some offer 2 shots ,but if you want all nighter seibu girl 400-500 rmb after 9pm back to your hotel .

Try using the "search" button (above center) or the "seach this thread" button just above and to the right of the messages. This is the better option because it only searches the Shenzhen thread.

I suggest you search terms like "Seibu", "HuBeiXin", "Shekou", and others you might find in your reading.

Once you have read through the old posts, ask us some specific questions.

I know this is slow going because so many senior members flood this board with rants about people asking basic questions, so that the good info is even harder to find. They don't realize they are making the problem worse because the signal-to-noise ratio goes way down when they rant and rave on-line. The good info is harder and harder to find because of the muck you must wade through.

So use the search function and see what you can find.

Remember : There are no "dumb" questions, but there are "lazy" questions.

Went to DaFuHao 大富豪, I think they go by Regal KTV. It's in DongMen, and one of the classic joints in Shenzhen that's been around for forever. A friend was throwing some kind of gig, so I went.

My KTV companion freaking sucked. Looked good, but that's about it. I tried really hard to strike up a conversation with her, and she would just giggle. Any question I had was met with a curt reply. Sucked terribly at dice games, can't dance for shit, and was just not very interesting. I went outside to talk to one of the managers, and the manager explained that it's because she's good looking, she's never felt the need to develop other skills. Gave her the boot.

A waitress/drink girl overheard me, and said that it's a shame I'm not having a good time. 5'6 or so Hubei chick, absolute blast to hang out with. Could keep her mouth shut during conversations with my friends, but a cunning linguist during times of quiet. Got the phone number, waited till she got off work, had a quick snack, took her back to my hotel to "have a drink." One thing led to another, I'm 300 RMB poorer, but a hell of a lot happier.

Sounds like my timing to move to China couldn't be better...TIC

My first night in Shenhzen and decided to go a little walkabout. Found the infamous Angel Bar, but didn't stop. I wanted to keep my new cell phone.

After making a tour around the block and noticing the availables, decided on a bleached redhead in one of the barber shops. She was really cute and a wearing a great smile! Mama said 200RMB, I said no. I counted out 150 and said yes or no. She took it. A six block walk later, along with four floor walk-up (reminds me of the days in NYC),we entered the apartment. NO sheets or towels (plus I had walked thru some fresh concrete on the way over...and no it wasn't marked, I am sure someone will not like size 11 footprints in their freshly poured sidewalk....oops!)

I was reluctant to use the bed, but decided to try anyway. Got my first CBJWS, and then she tried to force me in dry.....not going to happen. Found some lube, she is making enough noise to wake up the building. Three positions, ended with cowgirl. All done in 15 mins or less. It accomplised the goal of stress relief, but I can see that finding something of a more GFE nature is going to take some exploration, I think I will be up to the task!

Now to see if I have enough intestinal fortitude to try the food from the street vendors.....do I dare ask what kind of meat that is on the sticks, or is better not to know..

I just came back from a long night and afternoon in a hotel with the girl I met in the bar on chicken street. Four rounds of sex without paying for more than a quick bite at KFC. Not too bad.

The street food is okay as long as they cook it well. Usually it's chicken or lamb. You can ask them what type of meat it is. They have the larger chicken legs on the skewers in shekou too, which are more obviously chicken. In any case, you won't die or anything. You might have a slight stomach discomfort if you haven't eaten much in China before, but you can get that from a restaraurant too.

Anyway, enjoy your time. It can be a fun place to hang out.

My experience with street food around the world is that if it is piping hot (i.e. burn-your-mouth hot) then it's OK. No bacterium will survive those temperatures.

The thing to watch out for is room-temp food and fruits/salads and condiments. Don't do it!

remember, too hot to touch or eat right away = OK.

So...

sizzling Chicken Satay (Thailand) = yes
Chicken Satay dipping sauce = no (condiments)
any meat on a stick that I can hear sizzle = yes.

bread items piled up next to the cook stove = no
Too-hot-to-hold bread fresh from a griddle = yes (Mmmmm)

Seafood salad = death wish
Cut-up fruit snacks laid out on a nice table on a hot day = death wish

boiling hot stir-fry or curry sauce = Yes (Mmmm, curry!)
Curry sauce over room-temperature rice = no (don't eat the rice)

Ever notice how you always see people barfing on the street or puke piles here and there? Wonder what the hell they just ate?

Also, what about those oysters they sell here year round? I consumed a few today for lunch.

Funny story: I was over on seafood street today, having a late lunch when this gal at the table behind us got up to go checkout the dim-sum choices. Funny thing was, her dress was partially tucked into her knickers from behind and she didn't even know it. Stuck in my hotel, Shenzhen Lido Hotel, one evening last week as a result of a tropical downpour outside. About 11pm I took the risk and had a meal in a nearby restaurant. This place is hard to miss if you take the 'C' exit from the Hua Qiang Lu metro exit and turn right down the street, its a big building with lots of neon signs depicting palm trees and loungers etc. There is usually a girl at the podium outside and will put you in the lift to the 5th floor.

Goods were plainly made in China and even had Chinese written on them, one package even had Chinese hand written on it where a vendor had dropped it at my hotel lobby for me. Technically customs was partly right, but still a pain.

I always wondered why these touts are shouting 'invoice' all over in hua qiang bei, I still don't know, but I figure if I had an invoice for the goods it would have been easier.

7/28-29 Monday night,
Quick Shekou report. - BBSs are Closed, looked like All of them.

On the road coming from Beetles area in Shekou, All the pink shops are Closed from before Home, Ghost bar & Mamas, down to the end going past A-Best. That’s over a dozen shops & most nights easy over a hundred girls out of work, & no one will ever know how many disappointed guys.

Longgang is Shenzhen's largest district. "How far is Longgang" depends on which part of Longgang. Longgang city is about 40 minutes from Luohu. The secluded beaches of Nanao and XiChong are about 2 hours away.

In any case. My suggestion is use only carry ons and take the ferry and taxi from there. Nothing else will get you across faster.

I read a review on a hotel site. A Chinese/American woman was complaining the guard would not let her into the elevator after 11:00. She spent an hour before the mess got cleared up. i might bring someone with me.

Hey! As long as we are on this subject, does anyone have problems with the guards at your buildings? Those of you who live in China I mean. I get a lot of flack at my apt. here in GZ.I had a similar problem with the plainclothes guard about two years ago. I gave a call the the GM working there and literally rip him up verbally. This guard thinks he is the Chinese version of Eliot Ness, the guard is a total loser. The next night I purposely walk a 'hole' from Sha Tsui right infront of him and he did not want to look at me. I'm sure he got chew out by the GM that day. I just told the GM that I'm ready to tell other friends of mine that his hotel was not business friendly. I told him that he should reassign that plainclothes guard to toilet scrubbing duties. If you need help talk to that young bellman name 'roman', he knows the in and out of the entire area.

In my opinion, I think you like Shekou more. There are more foreigners there and I think you feel more at home, plenty of bars and nice western resturants. Nice to hear for you again.

For an apartment try www.shenzhenparty.com Look under Real Estate tab. Also try doing a regular search on the internet for Shenzhen.

I live in Shenzhen part of the time in my apartment. I never had any problem getting girls in anytime. Even when I am not with them they buzz me and I have to press button to let them in. Never had any problem with the security people whatsoever. I have had girls come in the middle of night alone. All I have to do is Buzz them in the front gate.

Yes - you can do this -but it entails clearing customs/immigration coming into HKG airport, leaving HKG land border, coming into PRC land border.... and then add the bus wait time (not sure of frequency/depends on a car filling up) and the actual journey.

I'd suggest instead that you take the Direct Ferry at the Sky Pier INSIDE of the arrival hall of the Hong Kong airport (no need to clear immigration/customs) and go directly to Fuyong Shenzhen which is Shenzhen Bao'an. The schedule is HKIA to Shenzhen 12:15, 14:00, 15:00, 16:15, 17:30, 19:45 Super class fare, HK$ 310 regular HK$ 210. I note your 19:10 arrival and you'd need to hurry to catch the last ferry at 19:45 - BUT, given that your flight out of Shenzhen is 22:55 - 3 hours 10 minutes, I'd think that you're also gonna cut it very close if you go by bus (or even completely miss the flight) if you go as per Sky Rider's advise. I'd suggest you save this option only if you miss the last Sky pier ferry.

Hey Sky - why don't you also go on the sky pier when you back to Shekou?? Hell, you'd save clearing in/out HKG customs/immigration plus you'd get back to Shekou within 40 minutes of touching down in Hong Kong!!

I do usually take the ferry to Shekou, but once or twice I had bags and they said they couldn't get my luggage in time for the next ferry, so I was going to have to wait until the following one. This was going mean at least a two hour wait total, plus sky limo is door to door and I didn't need another taxi in Shekou. I have been lucky with the limo, waited about 5 mins. both times and going thru customs at Shenzhen Bay is a breeze, didn't even have to get out of the van! Also it has been off peak traffic times, so that was in my favor as well.
I don't have the schedule with me at the moment, but I think your times are correct.

I stayed at the Lustre and brought my own. However, i did get a chance to walk around the area. WOW! If you can't find action in this place, there must be something wrong with you. Just follow the mommy( or daddy, but I hate that). At one point, walking next to Seibu, about fifty people on bikes and feet took off. 10 seconds later 3 city police vans rolled down the street. I was with my friend but they didn't even look at me. Just part of the business.

A lot of SW around the Lotus hotel. Hell! A lot everywhere. Luohu is kind of a wild place. I saw some stunning women/girls, but it's hard to tell who's working and not.

Great to be back after the Olympics. Interesting to see all the Seibu shops closed with the girls and their mommies hanging sitting/standing around on the outside. Due to this set up they've become much more aggressive which reminds me of the mommies in some of the CP shops. This was around 7pm maybe it changes later at night. Hi all,

Recently got back from a business trip in Shenzhen and have only just had the time to share with you all, as much of the info on this board has been invaluable. So thanks all.

Stayed in the Haito hotel which is actually in chicken street, not a bad hotel and perfectly 100% girl friendly.

After a few beers in seaworld and getting accousted by many, many street walkers that wanted 500 for the night decided to head back to the hotel and stop in a few of the hostess/girlie bars on the way back. Stopped in the first one turned straight round and walked out it looked dire!

Next bar walked in sat down had a drink or two and the girls there really started, well to get agressive towards drinks and taking one home, practically undressing me where I sat (made sure the cash was in a safe place though)

How much for the night I ask 'don't worry not much money talk about it later' well went to go back with one and then she comes out with 500+ again so I just say don't worry and send her away.

Losing my faith in this thought I would stop in one last bar (opposite the Haito Hotel) for a final beer.-- Well pleased I did!

Stopped in and sat down, immediately swarming with girls (all 7-9 imho) told them bluntly I was not going to buy any lady drinks, one in particular caught my eye and got here to sit with me, she was a good 8 finished my beer and asked the mama how much to take this one back to my hotel for the night, she told me 400 I thought ok what the hell she looked worth it (sorry guys if I paid too much)

All in all I can't recommend this bar enough, the girls are nice the mama is 50/50 german/Chinese and seems like quite a nice person, but the best thing is you can have fun, quite reasonably and paramount trust them!

Shekou is also probably the easiest entry point in to Shenzhen from Hong Kong as well as its just a short ferry ride, customs etc is a breeze and never busy like lohu and chicken street is about 4 mins away just come out of the ferry port cut through the grounds of the nan hai and bingo you are there!

Can't wait till I go back!

Having lived in Shenzhen for over 2 years, I have gotten 1000's of these cards. The store and restaurant delivery boys drop them off. When delivering food and goods, it gives them a good excuse to be in the building.

Great report! The last time I was in Shekou all but one of the chicken street bars were closed (during the middle of the Olympics). I went to the open one (Apple Bar I think it was) and the girl I really wanted was the mama. I just want to bring to your attention that a 100 RMB tip for 150 RMB service is a bit too generous, IMHO. I usually give them 20-50 RMB depending on how good they were. I never tip at all for average service.
There must be extra effort of some sort.

From the Los Angeles branch of the Chinese Embassy I obtained a 1 year multiple entry tourist visa (60 days at a time) in mid August before the end of the Olympics with no problems. No additional documentation was required. I just filled out the form completely with contacts and phone numbers. The clerk did look to verify I previously had a one year visa on the same passport.

Any news on lifting visa restrictions?

while i don't know the exact count, shenzhen must have at least 100 spas rep001tered around the city.

location:
first, ride the subway to guo mao station. then take exit e. once you're outside, start walking straight ahead until you come to a major intersection (i.e. with a traffic light). at this point, you will see a train bridge directly across the street. now, cross this street and walk under the bridge until you reach a second major intersection (n & s heping road). go straight across this street and continue moving forward until you reach the first major busy side street (less than 50ft after an icbc bank). the spa itself is located on the 2nd floor of the hanting express hotel. normally, there's a girl outside passing out pink colored flyers (see attached image).

review: i've visited this particular lost budget spa on three different occasions.

1st visit:
regular 2 hour full body massage (zero x-tras)
cost: 50 rmb (plus 20 rmb tip)
quality of massage: 6.5/10

yes, some mongers actually visit spas to work out all those age related kinks. father time has a way of catching up with all of us...lol. thank god for viagra!

2nd visit:

Since I'm departing Sinzhen in a few days, I decided to make a final Cannonball Run in Luohu.

First Stop: Chinese Pharmacy
Start Time: Thursday @ 10:30 a.m.
Shopping Cart: A pack of condoms, a small lip balm size tube of KY and (1) Viagra tablet

Instead of going with the cheaper counterfeit version, I spent the X-tra RMB and purchased the Pfizer original. Remember when BIG BLUE meant IBM super computer?

It's amazing that just a single pill comes in such a large package. I guess the pharmaceutical marketing gurus want customers to feel like they're getting their money's worth. It's not that an X-tremely rock hard and long lasting erection isn't enough...lol.

When I lived in Bird Nest-land, the magazine that's Beijing ran a special classified ad for Viagra. Basically, each tablet cost 100 RMB. Once a spouse THINKS she knows what a real Chinese Spa looks like, the married monger now has a legitimate excuse to break away from the family for a few hours of fun:

Now, walk down the RIGHT sidewalk beside the store until you reach the very first busy side street. If you see waist high, metal barriers blocking the street itself, you've made it! Just take a stroll down this street and keep looking right and left into the various catacomb alleyways.

I realize the directions to the Seibu BBS area have been posted numerous times on the Sinzhen board. However, instead of writing RTFF, I've posted these directions only to enhance the overall literary quality of this latest mongering adventure.

Checked out one of the saunas advertised in the HK newspapers. There were four girls' pictures featured in the ad. When we arrived, 2/4 were actually there. Despite this monger's recent success playing Luohu's most popular holes (read previous posts), honestly, at the start of the tournament, I almost lost two balls in a fat, deep, ugly bunker. While nobody likes to triple-bogey the first attempt, being a Sinzhen newbie, I knew it'd take a few X-tra strokes to get my backspin under control.

Luohu - Another Low Budget Spa Review
Location: While standing at the exit of Wal-Mart (located beside the King Glory Plaza shopping area), look straight ahead across the main avenue. From this vantage point, you should see a side street directly across the road. The entrance to this specific SPA is about 30 ft down this side street. If you decide to cross the main road, the place is impossible to miss. A young spinner wearing a dirty blue formal dress is usually standing outside. Trust me when I say, she's NOT on the menu!

First & LAST Visit:
Regular 2 hour Chinese Body Massage

The "What The Heck Is It" Shop?

Any news on lifting visa restrictions?

I've been asking my travel agent the same thing. She works for a big well-known firm, is very tight-lipped and won't say anything 'speculative'. I noticed however, that certain Chinese SEZs have reported that visa tightening will ease up on or about 16 October (Xiamen is the place in question, check the Cathay Pacific website.)

This suggests to me, that the rumors about things getting slowly back to normal around then (mid-October) may have some foundation in fact. Nothing is more enraging to an American resident in HK right now than to see all these Mainlanders pouring over the border to buy baby formula, and you being prevented from going the opposite way...unless you are willing to have 1500 HKD extorted from you for a double-entry visa, with all the nonsense of having to show ferry/bus tickets and a hotel voucher.

The preferred method of getting visa now is one year multiple entry
tourist visa. They do not issue any business visa for the time being.
Go to any chinese travel agent and for a small fee he will get you the visa.
He will arrange all the necessary reservations.
It is easier if you already have expired multiple entry visas in your passport.
I have always travelled on multiple entry business visas and do not know if they will ask me any documents like hotel reservation at the entry point.
I will post it if there are any questions.
I do have a apartment in Shenzhen and few girlfriends. So generally I do not monger unless I meet some really good looking girl on the street or bars. I have had girlfriends stay at my apartment before but not at the present time. Generally Chinese girls have good jobs and they are not looking for hand outs like their Phi or Thai cousins. Ofcourse they do like you to buy gifts. They will never ask you money. There are plenty of girls who have sponsors from HK or other countries who are staying in my apartment complex. I know some and we do go out. I have gotten lucky with some but it is not easy. For some reason they are not easy lay. They maybe afraid of somebody finding out and telling their BF. I am not talking about getting a visa in hk. I got a visa here in New York 1 year multiple entry tourist visa. I went to a Asian travel agent and paid him $165. The visa fee is $130. He arranged all the necessary reservations and cancelled them. It is also helpfull that I had previous 1 year and two year multiple entry business visas in the passport.

You haven't mentioned your Chinese speaking ability, how much money you are willing to spend, what specifically are you interested in? You haven't given us anything specific to go by.

That said, you could try the V Bar at the hotel itself. Fine looking ladies, most speak some English and are open to short time or long time, but since it's a 5 star hotel these girls ain't cheap. Other than that, you might try the sauna just west of the hotel, just follow the neon. There isn't much else on tap in this area, as this is an upscale neighborhood full of rich overseas Chinese, Taiwanese and foreigners. Better yet, get on the subway across the street and take it to to Guomao, exit E and just take a walk. They'll find you.

Last year, the extent of my S. China mongering was giving the doorman 100RMB and asking him to send a nice, pretty, young girl to my room. He did a great job btw. He sent me a 20 year old spinner, I had her for about an hour and then she went back to being a "student" again. Nice experience. It took me a few minutes to flag down a taxi and when I did he could not speak or understand ONE WORD of English. We drove around aimlessly until I remembered that I had the Hotel Room Keycard in my pocket. I showed him the keycard and we were on our way.

Overall, a pretty bad experience last night in SZ.

After reading a few posts, I don't feel comfortable roaming the alleyways in SZ looking for freelancers for 150RMB...so I'll just take my chances with the pros at the hotel lounge.

Look-it, all of us had been a newbie before and continue to be a newbie anytime we go to a fresh location - and its all a matter of attitude as to how you're going to enjoy - or NOT enjoy - yourself at each location.

Now, if you'd really RTFF you'd know that 688 - and even 788 - would be within the ball park for Shenzhen. And if you're in the Crowne Plaza/futian area - not at all out of line. ESPECIALLY for a clueles foregner who don't speak any Chinese at all. I'd say that you're actually quite lucky not to have been directed to even higher priced alternatives - or worse - to be fleeced at these joints who specializes in fleecing clueless foreignors as you seem to be!

You didn't even see any of the gals or any line-ups and even determined what you were actually gonna get - which I would think would at least be 90 minutes to a couple hours of mind blowing sex that you'd not experience elsewhere - as China's saunas are famed for their "deluxe" services.... and you'd already walked out! And then you say that you don't feel comfortable roaming the alleyways; OK - the way that I perceive you as being - you're probably right in not taking this route as I can foresee that you'd probably run into problems.

All I am suggesting is that you take a different approach if you really want to get questions answered. I'd usually just ignore most of these dumb questions but I DO once a while come back on and try my best to OFFER advise to those who really wants answers.

This forum gets lots of newbie asking the same questions asked by other newbies. For example, where can I find girls around my hotel XYZ in Lo Wu. Try "DOING A SEARCH FIRST in ISG". This you did, good. Next trying searching for maps on ISG and the web. This will give you a perspective of where you are.

What I suggest to newbies is post something about your past experiences. This will give you some creditability and members might be more willing to help. "Threeway", a newbie is a good example. I told him the same thing and he made some great post in the Dongguan Thread. He is more respected now. You have 6-7 years mongering therefore you should have lots of things to write about. Please be truthful and no wild exaggeration of stories.

If you are planning to be in China more than once, I strongly suggest learning some Chinese. If you are in China for one to three times, it is not worth the trouble. It seems like you are interested because you were in China last year. Some kind of communication goes a long way in any place.

Tour Guide For Help:

I know a few members meeting and showed some newbies around China, including me. Most became very good friends afterwards. A very small percentage hated each other after a few times.

Some never showed up or they figured out how to get around. They never cared to call or PM what's their status. Like, "I can't make it" or "I don't need you any more tour guide". Most stories I have heard are they ( newbies ) will get into trouble and need help. Then it is your job to get them out of trouble.

My friend has told me about Queen Spa. He told me it's a nice place to go to. But he can't really remember whether we can stay there overnight. Whether they provide girls. Whether I can bring girls there or not. Or how much it costs.

Queen's spa is high-end, swanky, some would say overpriced spa. Squeeky clean, so no hanky panky at all. No bringing WGs into the place and you certainly won't find any inside.

Minimum charge is something like 98 rmb, if you get no massages whatsoever. You are entitled to shower, dipping pools, food, drinks, and 24 hours stay on the premises. Lots of Hongkies actually use it as a cheap hotel nowadays. But be warned, you don't get a real bed. You get one of those sleeping capsules which look like an oversized coffin.

Body massage, foot massage, etc are about double of what you pay at small establishments. And then there is the tipping system at Queen's which is a expensive in itself.

I do not know about queen spa but in general you can sleep over in massage places after 10 pm if you get three hour massages.
You cannot use it as a hotel . you have to leave around 10 am in the morning.

DFWell, that's one way to go.

Though I have never stayed at the CP, but have stayed and like to stay in the area. I went to V Bar once, but could not find any FLs there at that time, maybe it was just me. To my knowledge in that area you can' have a FL from Lohou area delivered to you based on the territory issues of pimps etc. , though you can escort your date into your hotel.

From your description of the Sauna you went to, it could very well be one I have reported on, and at the same price. I have reported on a few saunas in the area, this one was right outside the subway station, so you wouldn't need to take a cab in that area specifically. If its the same sauan as the one I went to (though I don't remember plastic pillows) the service is pretty good and the quality of he girls was excellent. Well worth the price, IMHO. Additionally, within the area is a non-fs really nice high end sauna I like to go to. There's a lot there, you just have to keep an open mind and look around; I mean when we travel to france or italy its still hard to speak in english, why should China be any different.

Though, I haven't tried the Sheku bars, you could try them as well, much information here, though you better use the normal precautions as for any other mongering activity.

The key to this report is that you do have to read through my previous posts, don't mean to be egotistical in this I simply don't remember the places by heart and don't have the time to look them up for you.

God, I miss Shenzhen, and my 1 year visa just expired!

Shenzhen is a large city and Queen Spa is one of the many spas in th city.

Went to Lung Hwa Spa in Lunghwa - 4 of us plus massages and ear cleans etc costs about 850 RMB.

You can ask for DeBiFuWu (special services - FS) after 10pm.

The thing I remember from that spa is that they have this pool with live FISH inside it, and they eat your dead skin when you immerse yourself into the pool (covering your genital is adviced.

Ahh.. cant wait to go again.

My friend has told me about Queen Spa. He told me it's a nice place to go to........Have been in queens spa last june but don´t like it so much.

Why?

1. You get forced to give tips on your bill. You take a service like massage and then you can choose between three different already filled out amounts. You make your cross. This makes me feel under pressure.

2. You are watched. Big brother is watching each step you do.

3. Each hour someone from the stuff comes and ask you some things. And they ask you want this or that?

Is this american way of service? Okay, maybe good for others, not for me.

I arrived at Shenzhen about 3 p. M. Checked in to Gold Hotel. I had nothing to do that day and it was my first time here, so I decided to spend time getting to know the city. I got some addresses I wanted to check out.

I went out had a late lunch in a Chinese restaurant. After 2 hours I was exhausted. I barely had any sleep last week and had a really tight schedule. I decided to head back to hotel take a shower and if I feel like it, go out at night.

I noticed the barbershop in the hotel decided to have a shave there, had my worst shave. After the shave barber offered me some girls and showed me some pictures on his telephone. The pictures were really good but the price was high and I was very tired, I didn't even bother negotiating.

Came to the room had a shower and slept for a couple of hours. It was about 9. 00 pm. I decided to get out and have a couple of drinks. I looked for a decent looking pub, bar for about 30 minutes. When I almost gave up, a girl approached me with a big smile on her face and told me if I wanted to have fun with her broken english. She was very doable. Young and with a very nice body and face. I said OK after negotiating the price to 400 RMB for ST. It was 1000 at first.

After I told her that I was staying at the Gold Hotel and she hesitated she clearly didn't want to go to that hotel. She offered me to go to her place which I refused. She then agreed and we took a taxi to the hotel. When we reached the hotel she walked about 10 meters behind me to the elevator instead of walking with me. We came to the room without any problems.

She showered me and herself first then we went to the bed. She had a very nice body, but she is not very skilled. After 2 shots and about 1. 30 hours I paid her and she left.

There are no so called brothels in Shenzhen where you can get a room, girl etc.
Some massage places offer special services mostly HJ, rerely full service.
By law all massage rooms should have glass windows. This excludes all hank panky. Even HJ they do under the covers. None get naked. Those that offer full service have a alarm system so that if the police enter alarm is activated
and everything gets normal in a hurry in massage rooms.
However many of these massage places get busted from time to time. so the massage places do not want to take any risk. As it is they make money because in chinese culture massage is a must two or three times a week if you can afford it. And massage is comparatively cheap in many low end places.
I would suggest get a room in a hotel and walk around the neighbourhood. Talk to mamasans or SW and take your pick. All hotels are GF. Going rate is 200 RMB for ST, and 400 RMB for LT. You can also ask mamasans to send girls to your room so that you select the one you want. Pay the mamasan only half of the negotiated amount. Rest to the girl. If the girl is good tip extra and get her phone no.so that you can call anytime and avoid the mamasan.

First of all, a note on terminology.

Massage (按摩 = An4Mo2 or 松骨 = Song1Gu3) implies a relatively clean place. Often, the establishments themselves are called
休闲=Xiu1Xian2=resting place
, or 会所=Hui4Suo3=club (although HuiSuo is also often used to indicate KTVs and FS saunas).

Big places like Queen's spa are clean because the wives/gfs go there too. Smaller places usually provide HJs (for a tip), and in some cases BJs.

A sauna (桑拿 = Sang1Na2) is a hanky panky place. If you see the place advertised as SangNa, you have about a 90% chance that it is full service. Go in ask what the price is for the girl, the room, how many minutes you get, how many pops.

Most of these places (both categories) allow you to sleep over for free if you show up after 12 midnight.

These tips are assuming you speak some Mandarin (or Cantonese).

I stayed at the CP in May and the V bar had nothing resembling a WG or a FL - all paired up.
I got a straight massage at the Golden Coast Spa and Club, tipped the girl 200rmb and gave her a card from the hotel. I offered 700rmb long time/overnight. At midnight I get a nonsense text msg, went downstairs and there she was. Slightly voluptuous by Chinese standards but breasts to die for and immaculate soft skin. After being somewhat reluctant to get her gear off, she stayed 2 days while I taught her English and banged her 10 times or so. I took her shopping for underwear and she refused any payment for the second day.
I am getting my visa renewed.

Well, that's one way to go.

Though I have never stayed at the CP, but have stayed and like to stay in the area. I went to V Bar once, but could not find any FLs there at that time, maybe it was just me. To my knowledge in that area you can' have a FL from Lohou area delivered to you based on the territory issues of pimps etc. , though you can escort your date into your hotel.

From your description of the Sauna you went to, it could very well be one I have reported on, and at the same price. I have reported on a few saunas in the area, this one was right outside the subway station, so you wouldn't need to take a cab in that area specifically. If its the same sauan as the one I went to (though I don't remember plastic pillows) the service is pretty good and the quality of he girls was excellent. Well worth the price, IMHO. Additionally, within the area is a non-fs really nice high end sauna I like to go to. There's a lot there, you just have to keep an open mind and look around; I mean when we travel to france or italy its still hard to speak in english, why should China be any different.

It's good you post the details, because the US is the only place at present where you can get a multiple. Everything else would mislead most of us.

It's now official that, in Hong Kong at least, applications are being accepted for multiple-entry visas again (from 23 September.) This doesn't mean you'll get one, but things are finally shifting. Prices, especially for American passport holders, have gone up again. But they are accepting apps for issuing 1 and 3 year m/e visas (F class) to foreigners holding permanent HK ID cards, at least according to info from two different travel agents I've contacted. If you don't have HK permanent ID, I was told the most you can get is 6 months now, but perhaps people with 'business' business cards can get one year as a visitor/resident.

Hope this helps, I will add additional posts as I find out more.

In the past, I've always told visa appicants to apply DIRECTLY to the Chinese foreign Ministry's office instead of having to pay commissions to the travel agent etc. On top of that, I feeel that it is safer as I get an official receipt for my passport from a government agency instead of just "come back at xx time and we'll have it ready for you."

Not sure if this advise is still valid or not as I have heard that some of these travel agents suppossedly have "good relations" with the people at the ministry (How can it be? - I see these same runners from the travel agents also just queuing up and handing in the applications sheepishly like most of the other applicants!!).

Perhaps somebody here could relate their own experiences. The following are details of the Ministry:

Hey - you are correct - I went to your page - which by the way is the same page which C+P previously/in my last post - and saw the bottom notation for "America" (I was only looking for United States of America - not just America) and see that 1,020 charge.

BTW - note that this charge is under "List of Countries on Reciprocal Basis of Visa Fees" and thus it is what the U.S. charges PRC applicants for a visa to the U.S. and thus the chinese charges the same. So you really cain't blame the Chinese for this!! Talk to your Congressman!!

The price for a 6-month multiple entry visa for a Hong Kong resident (not 'permanent resident') with a US passport was 1200 HKD before the Olympic crackdown in late March. It has now gone up to 1650.

I have lived here for 20 years and I do not trust the PRC websites. They go out of their way to obscure the fact that some people are charged much more for visas than others.

In fact, I started travelling into china starting mid 1980's - and at that time, one can only get a visa thru China Travel Service - the official travel agent for the PRC. Well, I kept on using CTS for the longest time until a friend told me about applying directly - which was when I found out I've been screwed for so long!

When you apply for your PRC entry permit yourself at the visa office, not only do you 1. save a lot of money (the difference between 1,020 and your list) but more importanly you also 2. Save time and most important for me - 3. You will get an official PRC government receipt for your documents.

just IMHO - but I'd encourage everybody to apply for their PRC visa themselves i/o using these travel agent sharks!

In defense of the "travel agent sharks", travel agencies provide same day service (well, not during olympic period). It's usually drop off your passport early in the morning, pick up late afternoon/early evening.

For the visa office in WanChai, even their "rush service" is 2 working days.

This is no big deal for those living in HK. But for those of us living in Shenzhen, say, the convenience of same-day pick up is easily worth the extra couple of hundred of HK$.

YUP - 2004!!! The PRC government has NOT chaged the charges since 2004 - its only the travel agents who've upped the charge!! (Or perhaps whoever's in charge of this page didn't change this notation - wouldn't be surprised with Chiense web sites!)

NOTE - pls note that easier visa application/issuance AT PRESENT is still for foreigners with valid HK ID cards/right of permament stay in HKG only. No word yet as to when foreigners without such right can again also apply via Hong Kong. (Oct 16????)

I also was using CTS for a long time till one night I was with a Filipina and after she learned I was staying at Renaissance, she told me she will stay with me for free that night because she had to go to Visa office next morning! :) Thanks to her I had a freebie night and have been saving loads of money on Visa (myself and other people from company that come to Asia).

As of april, the rush at the visa office in Wan Chai is 2 days and that include the day of submission. If you submit your app in the morning, your Visa is ready next morning after 10. If you submit it in the afternoon, you can pick it up the next day after 2:00 PM.

According to the China Commissioner's Office website http://www.fmcoprc.gov.hk/eng/zgqz/syjy/ this is how they define their "rush" services.

1. Regular service: 4 working days including submission day (e.g. Submission on Monday and collection on Thursday)

2. Express service: 3working days including submission day (e.g. Submission on Monday and collection on Wednesday

3. Rush service: 2 working day (including the submission day. e.g. If visa application is submitted on the morning of Monday, collection time is on the morning of Tuesday; If visa application is submitted on the afternoon of Monday, collection time is on the afternoon of Tuesday)

As you can see, nothing is "same day" anymore. I understand that it was different in the past (pre-olympics) and may be available again some time in the future.

During the "olympic period" (rumored to end after oct 16) you are also required to show hotel bookings, return ticket, etc. Officially anyway. I got a visa via a travel agent and never had to bother with this. Yes, more expensive, but fewer headaches. And no lineups at the travel agency either.

I am not sure where the official announcement is, but I know of at least 5 people who received multiple entry for 6 months and one year in the last 4 days in Hong Kong. I also poked my head inside the China Travel by the Wan Chai computer center on Friday and ask the old guy if multiple entry visa was back on the menu and he said yes.

It is good to see things getting back to normal (whatever that is) after the Olympics. I went to my first Chicken St. since the middle of August last weekend and did a follow up visit with good results this past Frida night. The interesting thing was when I went to visit one of the bars where I know the owner Friday night, many were closed, this was on the street 1 block the mail road passing Sea World. I thought that was a little strange that most of the bars were closed when they had been opened the night before. My "friends" bar was closed, so I continued to the bars across from Red Rooster. I had found a fun place named Bottoms Up, and as I round the corner I see the owner and her partner bracketing a gentleman walking up the street. One of the ladies name is Anna, and while she is supposedly a part owner I have every intention of doing her doggie style one day and then watching her deep throat my for the second cup. A man must have a dream. Why is it that the best looking ones are the owners?
Anyway I had been in this club before and fell victim to the "buy all the girls a drink" I wound up the first time buying five drinks and spending about 15 mins. behind the curtain with two, only to have the old buy me one more and I will.....(fill in the blank), I promptly got up, zipped up and left the curtain room, and she asked why? I told her you made a promise and know you won't perform, so I won't buy you anymore drinks. One of the girls was really nice and while not the best looking of the bunch was certainly within limits.
As I entered for the second time with Anna holding my hand, I saw a couple of gals I remembered including the "nice" one. I told them I was only going to buy one girl a drink and I hadn't decided which one. I wound up with the nice one behind the curtain and was rewarded with a fun if not fully satisfying time. I think she would have gone all in, but the other girls kept opening the curtain and asking for more drinks. I did get her number, I just hope the maid didn't throw it away, she seems a little possesive at times and I saw her throw another ladies number away when I left her name and numer on the table (written in Chinese and English)
Anyway I wound up spending about 200 rmb for drinks and a hand job with an oral beginning. I get the feeling that these places are really all over the map with sevice level and are the ultimate YMMV.
They remind me of strip clubs in the U.S. except substitute drinks for lap dances, the object is the most money out of your pocket with the least amount of effort. I don't really like going to them, but they do have a lot of good looking girls working in the clubs, now I have to learn how to get them home for the least amount of RMB.
One of the girls did tell me they have a 50/50 split with the house on the drinks and keep all their tips.
On a different subject there seems to be a stable number of gals near the 7-11 in Sea World every night and they are available for 200-300 or less depending on the girl and the time. Some of these gals used to work on Chicken St. and I think others are part timers.
In August I found one girl just outside the Nirvana bar ( it has been closed about a week for some reason) and she was great, but I haven't seen her or the mama since then. That was the number my maid tossed out. Oh Well!!
I did find out that the police where making the rounds on Friday night and that was why many of the bars where closed or making an effort to keep things really low key!!

Thanks for the reports, many of the previous posts have been very helpful and new to me. I'll correct the pricing for everyone who doesn't know: if you get serviced in their apartment, it is 150 RMB. Not sure you would want LT in those apartments! If you take them out, it might be 200 ST and 4-500 LT. Locals might be able to get better pricing, but I suspect locals don't go to the pink apartment/train station shops. No need for lots of comments about pricing and such, this is for your edification, and now you can do whatever you want.

I was a poster here long ago, but I forgot my password and let the old email address die. So I'm a newbie again. I will be in Shenzhen on a factory trip soon on the way to the Canton Fair. I've stayed at this hotel many times and it is great, but I have never been able to locate good clubs/bars to pick-up locals. The Vbar in the hotel seems VERY poor (hit and mostly miss). Does anyone have suggestions for a nearby pick-up bar or a suggestion for an equally good hotel with an on-site or nearby can't-miss bar.

Its on the corner of Shennan and Jianbin, next to the Sunshine hotel, I think. Its majorly legit. During massage there are people in and out of the room and the door has a window. The service is good, men and women in the same common area, you can probably find cheaper. No extras I think. Similar to Queens spa, from my best memory. I got lucky outside the place.I don't know, but maybe we are talking about different places, The one i was talking about is in Nanshan/OCT. I normally stay at the Seaview o'city hotel (across the street from Happy Valley), and there is another smaller hotel/motel next to it (i think that one is city inn, but it could have changed names to Sunshine? last time i was there they were having renovations) There was a nice resturaunt in that building and many smaller nice resturaunts in the street behind (by the walmart) including one hunan place that serves really good crawfish... I've never been to the Queens spa so cannot compare, but this place is the nicest spa i have been to in all of china, and it looks very new and clean you can't tell of any wear and tear...

I've never had anyone come in and out of the room during massage, and never seen female customers there, but i never go to the common area or the standard rooms i always pick the VIP rooms (and code word is 'beautiful girl') though chinese speakers would have a better idea (around the same time as i made my first report for the place another member did say that he had a FS experience, but after extensive talking to the manager in Chinese).

My primary reason for going there is to chill out, get a good steam and massage... i always forget to take my MP4 player, and that way i could connect it to the flat screen (since basically no english channels or music)... the windows and doors have blinds on the inside and can be closed, and you never get disturbed, but, yes it is expensive the VIP room alone costs about 400RMB, but i don't compare money spent here with 2+ STs in Lohu, its a different experience for me and generally once a trip at least.

There was another spa i reported on in Futian (Hua Qiang Bei) much more recently (my last trip to Shenzhen) I think that would be more akin to Queens spa, and it was much cheaper, but i can only take the communal shower once during my trip and never go into the steam rooms... not a homophobe or anything, but that experience has too many attendants just hanging about for my comfort, and i can hangup my own underwear - plus i don't like embarassing the natives with my god given fruit !! :) hehehe... its weird getting a thumbs up sign from a shower attendant.

Now that I re-read the report, i realize there are menu options on the VIP room, the 398 includes a massage (but no tips) so if you go the non-beautiful girl route for legit stuff, then it would be cheaper. the beautiful girl tips are a MAX of 200, not more, what you get in that is, i guess, YMMV. and, now that i remember the HJ was offered even after the legit massages, but i didn't partake, though there are a few 'beautiful girls' here who speak english.

Went to CA for a naked KTV and to limber up with a sauna session. Went with Wadman & SEAJ. Expected to meet another ISG'er who is on temporary probation having let the crew down. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE "TG" AND WE THREE ARE WAITING IN AMBUSH TO FLAME YOUR EVERY NEXT MOVE ........ UNLESS YOU KEEP TO YOU WORD FOR TOMORROW NIGHT IN CP.

Anyway, SEAJ and I organised a car from CP to CA for RmB 120 and return on the highway for RmB 135 (there is a toll road on the most direct route back hence the price difference). While waiting for Wadman to arrive we went BBS hunting in CA but even SEAJ's canine like pussy sniffer failed us. The CA Hotel Bellboy's directions were about as reliable as the managmement at the Rich Kingdom KTV. Maybe I am being too generous to the Oxford Dictionary's definition of "Management".

Anyway, met up with Wadman then the dynamic duo of Wadman & SEAJ send the innocent Laowai out to find a taxi for them to follow to Rich Kingdom Hotel. Usual excuses from the pair of them - "your Mandarin is so good, you're so much more capable than we are". Bullshit I am Laowai and its worth the laugh to send me out into the cold cruel world to see quickly i'll get ripped off in China. No green in eyes ! I come from a long line of country folk & cow traders which is an entirely different breed to sheep shaggers. First taxi refuses to use the meter and insists on RmB 35 flat fee - "kiss my dick" as I open to door to exit and find another taxi. Same routine with the second. Time to be an asshole. Hell it comes easy. No meter no business take it or leave my man ? He takes it and says not one word to me as he goes into orbit on the roads of CA to get me to the Rich Kingdom on Zhen'An Lu..

Now I know why I was really sent to find a taxi. If a Laowai gets killed in a crazy taxi the papers will say stupid foreigner did a stupid thing no loss to the world. Who cares about a stupid Laowai ? Well damn it boys, I do :eek: Arrive at the joint. Batman & Robin saunter along in tow. Joker has survived too.

We go in and book the KTV room which starts at 7pm we are informed. Decide its worth our while to waste time at the sauna until then so off we go for a 25 meter walk into the sauna which is 100 mins, room for RmB 138 and gals either 4/5/600 depending on how tall they are ? We all go for RmB 400 gals which just so happen to be cutest they have in the joint. Choice is not outstanding but the convenience factor and the comraderie make it the right choice for today.

You can always cross the street (Shennan road), and go to the Intercontinental hotel. The bar there is called the Galleon. Just as much fun as V-Bar.

SeaWorld are just five minutes to walk and the chickenbars are right on top of it.

I pay 300-360 depending on lenght of stay.

Reminds me - I must get back over there soon. Got some "business" to attend to. :)

Crown Plaza (VBar) is quite far from Luohu, about 50 rmb cab fare, if you go by the meter. Crown Plaza is in the west end of Shenzhen, Luohu is east.

I come from Taiwan. And I must say. After being in Shen Zhen for 3 days.

I don't think I'll ever want to spend a penny on women in Taiwan.

1. The girls in shen Zhen are younger, much cuter, have a much better body.

2. The quality of service is so much better.

3. The time is longer.

4. The price is so much cheaper.

I must say it is kinda expensive in comparison to most of the other saunas. (I spent 400+ in there to spend the night) but that includes. Unlimited drinks. Unlimited fruit. Directions going there.

1. Get off at GuoMao Station and take EXIT B.

2. Walk straight for 20 minutes. Make sure that you are walking on JIABIN Rd.

3. Just keep on walking straight until you see SEIBU department store. You can't miss it. It's on the left side of the street. If you do miss it. Get your eyes checked dude!

4. At this point. You will notice that JIABIN Rd. Has become narrower. (From a total of 4 6 lanes becoming into a road that is only 2 lanes)

5. Remain on the left side of the road.

6. As you are entering the narrower JIABIN Rd. You will notice that there are more local type restaurants with red signs. (at night. These restaurants will be placing their tables onto the street! ) The food is good. Try it out

7. If you look left. There should be a road entrance that has been blocked by metallic gates to prevent cars from entering. This is where you enter this street. (the street entrance is right across a hospital! )

8. On this street. You will notice some legit barber shops. Saloons. And stuff. This is NOT where you are going.

9. Where you are going is the alleys on your right. Just enter any of the alleys and walk around. (the alley's layout is like a grid layout. Just walk around. And eventually they will approach you)

Price: 150RMB at their place. 200RMB at your place. 500RMB for the night (actually for only 5 hours)

I spent most of my time in Seibu. Didn't go anywhere else afterwards.

Man. Next time I go. And I will definitely go again. I'm gonna assure I have a longer stay. I really envy the guys staying there.

They have now refurbished all the floors I think, staring from top down and the rooms are very nice. I like especial the shower and bathroom with the glass window out to the room.

Her is a plan from SheKou. Many of the bars in Chicken street and Gong Ye First street are closing. I was not there since March and many had closed but were still enough for much fun with ladies BUT beware ofthe "Buy me one dreenk, meester!". It can become expensive but is much fun with them if you are sensible.

They will build an international school there now.

Walk from Ferry and past NanHai hotel to HaiTao hotel is maybe five minutes. Or take a taxi but this goes long way roiund because of one-way streets.

I agree, it's not easy to find the first time, even the taxi drivers don't always know this hotel or the street it's on.

I also strongly recommend the comfortable and extensive MeDo massage place on the small street perpendicular to the main entrace to the Fuzon (beyond the karaoke club). Also, in the streets behing Hanyong hotel there are some "massage" places & as well as a nice KTV.

All of these places within about 5 minutes by taxi from airport.

Only a few offer it.

The best sauna in Shenzhen is the Queen Club.

There are many around the Huanggang area.

I have got AR once in one of them, but it is not a big thing for me.

Most of the time I don't even ask .

If you like AR, Dongguan is the place to go.

Dongguan city, CP, Chang AN and Zhu Hai.

R is always on the menu on most high end saunas there.

It was great to go out with OAH the other night even though we were both feeling low energy. We had fun exploring the "old" places.

After a delicious (?) meal of KFC (which is what ultimately ended my evening early - stomach problems), I pestered OAH to show me where the Futian Walmart was and the old stomping grounds - and boy are we glad he did.
