Read through a lot of the postings. Trying to find a general report on Saunas I was wondering if anyone could help me out and I apologize if I'm asking too much. I'm Going to Hong Kong for a few days. I usually go to Macau for the day. I've visited all their popular saunas. I was wondering if they had better ones in schenzen or what's the quality like compared to Macau. Do they have those big pools? Alot of different girls to choose from? Going rate? Ect. Macau Sauna has the best quality of girl in asia, and it is also the most expensive ,the big one like big boss have the international staff most high end sauna in shenzhen cost about 700-800 rmb cheaper than in macau but most have very nice pool and spa ,there are cheap sauna and massage place all over shenzhen that you can get FS and massage for as low as 400 rmb.

Apartments on the backside of the Shangri-La Hotel by train station. Pinkish in color (someone said more like salmon color once). It's an OK area for FS, soapies and tug jobs. It's a second string area for hookers in Luohu, but they often try to fleece the sex tourists.

You can walk to many of the hotels (with sauna) from the border crossing. Weekend crossing takes 30 plus minutes.

I am traveling out od Shenzhen airport next month. So far, I have not been able to get too much info about prospects around the airport apart from 2 hotels. Any nearby BBS etc etc.
Opinions also appreciated if I should just stay somewhere like Shekou and be done with it.
I'm all about convenience, and as I was staying near the Friendship, just went to that back alley rather than seeking out some of the other places. Also, there is a clean massage place right on that corner, so could get both muscles worked on within one block! Now that's efficient.

There are cheap sauna all over Shenzhen like I said area around walmart Futain ,ha sha ,sha tusi and buji area to name a few ,if you don't speak mandarin or know shenzhen well you should hook up with a wingman to show you around.

They are on the same road that all the BBS used to be on, but only the HJ place was still open when Sukhumviter and I passed by. The BBS girls are now working in the alleys out the back (see my post). If you come out of the Walmart and turn right, go to the next corner turn right again and walk down about 100 meters on your right you will find it. There are some foot massage chairs in front of the shop since they have a footie license.

Sorry I didn't get back to you in time for New Year's Eve. Almost all the foot massage/body massage joints in SZ have the option of a private room. I have had both successful and unsuccessful experiences in these places. It doesn't matter much which one you go to, all that matters is which girl you pull for your massage. The foot massage girls are no less likely to be up for action than the body massage girls who usually offer 'extras'.
All hotels are safe, unless there's a crackdown going on at the moment (possible around CNY) the Fuzon is probably the best value for money, if you can put up with the ambient noise.
If a girl in a massage place begins to ask you about how long you are staying in Shenzhen, I think it's a 75-90 % likelihood she is wanting you to ask her out. Remember the ancient Roman said "Fortune Favors the Bold."

If you are going to stay in an area for a long time (like a month or so), you might get a better deal by talking to the hotel manager. They might charge you one month at a time vs daily.
I can't remember the name of the place off the top of my head, but I stayed there for a few nights on a previous trip. I am sure if you join as a VIP member they will cut you a special deal and give you a room in thier hotel portion and include a massage every evening.
It's a massage place with pools, a bar, a relaxation area and about 11:p.m. a buffet style late evening snack,etc.
The front of it looks like a fake Egyptian or Roman style entrance. You walk up some steps and there it is. It's not too far from the Port area and is on that street.
If you are standing at the corner of the Seibu department store, look towards the Hong Kong side and walk down that block and keep looking to the left. When you get to a street a few blocks away, you will see what looks like a hospital and then a school. It's around the corner from the school and about a 10 to 15 minute walk.
Perhaps some other members may know the place and be able to give you better directions. I think the price is around or was at the time I was last there somewhere in the area of about 500 to 600 RMB a night. That's less than a Motel 6 and is allot more enjoyable.

Got stuck in Shenzhen yesterday as the train line SZ-CP-GZ was down. Had waited for a whole hour when I decided to call it quits as nobody seems to know what's going on and if the line is EVER gonna be restored.

I stay at the Royal Palace Hotel which is great for $50 a night. Anyways I always go to the massage place near the hotel, 90 minutes for $20 can't beat it plus 8-10 times ends with a nice oil job without asking.
So I thought this was funny and hell maybe repeatable. Especially for those times when the girl speaks ZERO english and I know 3 words of Chinese.
I am at the usual place, decide to get a foot massage. Never had one, first day on my last trip so after a 90 minute body massage with the works I keep it going and get a foot massage.
Cute gal comes in. Starts to get to work. I lay back chill. LOL I look up and she is staring at me. Ok no big, I smile. Ok still staring. Then she smiles and strokes my goatee. Hmmm Ok I am thinking lets see whats up.
After an hour of her staring at me and smiling I just hand her my cell phone. She takes it and adds her number right away. Hands it back and I call her so she has my number. She smiles, I smile, transaction completed, well sort of.
So a few days pass and I am thinking about how to approach this one. So I text my assistant/friend (gal I hired once and now she just helps me here and there) and ask her to send me a text in Chinese that says "I am at Royal Palace Hotel room 2323, come see my after midnight tonight". Hell I figure worth a shot. So I get the text and forward it to her. Few minutes later I get something back in Chinese, no clue what it says but I figure oh well, line is set, lets see what happens.
Well wouldn't you know it. About 12:30 there is a knock on my door. I open she hugs me and kisses me and immediately goes into the bathroom to shower! Well I am working on my computer so I sit back at my desk. 10 minutes she comes out, not a word, and hops into bed.
Well I hop right in next to her and man what a great time! Total GFE. Stays all night, at it again in the morning.
She gets up and starts to get dressed (after shower) and wouldn't you know it she says her first word of english! Money. She motions to her dress and I understand that its for her to buy some clothes. No amount asked, well she couldn't anyways, so I pull out a few 100 RMB and hand her like 400. She smiles kisses me and heads out the door!
Well let me tell you I sent her that same text 3 more times throughout my stay (I was there 3 weeks) and each time it was exactly the same!
So hey, don't let the language issue faze you. Pass that cell around no matter what and figure it out later!

Let me first say thanks for this place- phenomenal.I have traveled to Asia last 6 months on and off and have another 3 months stint coming up, mainly China and Shenzhen in particular. I stay a bit off the beaten path in Longhua.
Check out Bantian just down the road from Longhua. Great place to stay and live Lots of massage places with no rush. Shame it will all disappear when developed.

You can try the Petrel hotel. Have not been there myself, but someone told me the sauna there is 650 rmb for a full 2 hours. By Shenzhen standards that's not a bad price. Try it out and report back please.
The Petrel hotel is across the road from King Glory plaza. Specifically, it's across the road from the Starbucks inside King Glory plaza. Exit King Glory plaza via the exit closest to Starbucks. Look across the street in a north-westerly direction and you should see it. The sign is hung up pretty high, so you need to look up a bit. The Chinese name is Hai Yan Jiu Dian 海燕酒店

Back in SheKou and working the girlie bars. Although there are fewer bars than before and the gals are a bit more pushy, satisfaction is guaranteed if you play your cards right. Here are some rules;
Rule 1 Don't be a cheapie. Buy one or two drinks in the girlie bars for the gal you like best
Rule 2 Be nice to Momma. She will see to your needs
Rule 3 Choose the gal you like and make sure she has the assets you want. (you can always get the bra off and usually check out the puss - for hair/no hair and smell! - with no ploblem)
Rule 4 Agree what service you want, agree the price and the time she will spend with you BEFORE you take her out. Get Momma in on the discussion as well so that you can complain if she does not deliver.

While I was at SeaWorld walking around in the first evening I saw a some of SWs who looked real good. I was with local agent and could not open any discussion but they were approaching close and offering "massage". On the next evening I took the numbers from two of them and planned to call after dinner to come to hotel. They wanted 500 but both came down to 250 easy.

so there i was in a small table near the very extensive floor show stage. it was about 10pm and people were just starting to come in. i had been smoking a cigar and drinking the local tsing tao beer. i had been texting a girl that had picked me up a few nights before – she was a hostess at the restaurant i go to that happens to have some descriptions of the food in english. the night we had gone out she had summoned her friend to come out as well, her beautiful friend that i immediately fell for and let them both know it. so this night i was trying to see if her friend, kate, would perhaps be able to meet me out at the club. now keep in mind kate speaks no english and her friend angelica speaks very little.
so between texts i was checking out the gals that were constantly starting to stream by my table. finally i got the text – kate was not able to come out tonight. i was very disappointed as i knew i had only a few nights out before i was to head back home. but after about 30 seconds i was ready to make the best of my night on my own, even felt a bit freed up from not having to entertain someone i could not even talk to.
a little background – i am in longhua which is outside of shenzhen. i have been to many clubs in shenzhen and have never seen what i observed on a regular basis as this club in longhua. police everywhere. before the club gets going there are a dozen of them milling around outside the front door, if you were not aware of them before, this would be quite off putting to say the least. there presence becomes more visible as the floor show ends (live band, various singers, comedy show, and 6 lovely dancers that come out in different costumes) and the techno dancing begins. as soon as the dj announces the start of the dancing everyone streams onto the small dance floor and it is immediately jam packed.
the first night i met kate she and i were dancing and i happened to have a bottle of beer in my hand. within a few minutes to my surprise a cop had come over and motioned me to give him the bottle. ok. no problem. there are platforms around the dance floor that have stripper poles, this is where the cops 3-4 at a time keenly observe the crowd. they are not merely watching and their body language and physical presence is very imposing. i have seen them push people around for perhaps loitering too long near a walkway area.
so at this point its around 1am and there is a constant stream of people going by my table. groups of 6-8 people, women in twos and threes holding hands passing by and glancing my way. i forgot to mention, i am the only non-chinese person in the entire club so everyone has come by at some point and taken a look. my muscular physique, goatee (facial hair is rare here) harley davidson jeans, cowboy boots and puffin on a large cigar…well you get the picture. not to mention the fact that i am a giant here, most stand it seems at an average of 5 6” and below and are quite slight in build.
so out of the corner of my eye i catch a glimpse of someone that looks like alice. facial recognition is still difficult for me not being used to the distinguishing features here yet. but wait, what do you know she smiles and waves. so she is out. within a few minutes she comes over to say hello, have a seat and eat some of the fruit at my table. she is a strikingly beautiful girl, skin like porcelain, quick to show her beautiful smile, laugh and clap with the music. very slim, dressing in a classy but still sexy fashion. i have a hard time taking my eyes off her. when we first met after we danced i was delighted to sit and hold her hand while we drank and smoked cigarettes together.
but this night she was with her friends so she asked me by hand motions if it was ok that she go back to her table. i said yes, of course. i was just happy she stopped by. so for the next hour or so she would stop by my table and have some fruit and we would look at each other and smile. good enough for me. i had just had a 2 hour massage after my dinner with a regular girl i see at the spa near my apartment and she had all but taken any desire i may have had for the evening. so i was in a good place. the whole time i am sitting there i am texting angelica, her best friend, telling her what’s going on etc. finally i tell angelica, “i really like your friend”, she responds “ok, i will help you”. cool, i think.
during one of kates’s absences a pretty girl at the next table moves over to talk to me. she speaks good english and i have noticed her as she had seemed pretty drunk and was sitting with her head tilted back for about 20 minutes or so with her eyes closed. but now she was alert and smiling. after some polite conversation i thought good, maybe alice will perk up a bit after seeing this. sure enough she happens to be walking by after a trip to the washroom and she immediately sits down and retakes here domain. i excuse myself to the girl i was talking with and spin around to gaze at her and see what fruit she decides to eat this time. just her being there is enough to keep my happy, at least for a while. within some short time she gets up to go back to her friends, leaving me happy again.
soon she gets up with one of her male friends to dance with and as she goes by she motions me to come as well, i wave her off knowing that i would not want to share her. but i was comforted that she had at least thought to invite me. that was the last time i saw her that night but it was not the end of my night by any means.
there are tables of people around me and nice lounge type seating around the tables. many groups, some mixed some all guys. its usual to see 2-3 guys standing up at their tables just dancing or gyrating to the music. one group on my left i notice are particularly impaired. an hour ago they were all moving and dancing, standing on the seats etc. now they are all but perhaps one, sitting slouched on the couch eyes closed not looking very well. then i glance over to the floor in front of their table where one guy has been sitting with his feet up on the couch. well it became clear why, there was a very large pool of vomit in front of him spilling onto the floor and walkway. no one really seemed to notice and a short time later on of the many waiters (there must be 20 of them or more walking around) starts to clean it up. its starting to get late, about 3am but the place is just getting crazier. the music is pumping at a constant and people are still streaming in and out of the club. i decide to move to higher ground and check out the dancing girls on the poles to the left of me. there are bar type seats there. so i see an opening in one of the seats and take my case and beer and move in. within a minute my whole fruit plate and ashtray are right behind me. usual looks from the pole girls and ones sitting by waiting to go up. smiles, then motioning to their friends then shy giggles. no pointing but they may have well have.
i am starting to notice that its kind of odd, a small table 2-3 guys girl or two then one guy will get up and start dancing and shaking his head. odd enough to attract my attention. so i am on higher ground above the tables so i peer in for a closer look. one guy is pushing something on the table, working quite delicately. then i see a straw, the long one that has the curve that you can angle. so i think huh? this is odd. now remember, there are dozens of waiters and at least a dozen police monitoring the clubs activity. so i find this display very odd to say the least. well sure enough i see them cutting some white power into lines and snorting it right there on the table! no effort to hide it at all. now that i know what to look for i look around and sure enough i spot a few more tables all doing the same thing.
well now i am really curious. sure enough i have my opportunity. one guy comes over and hangs out, says hello and motions that i come over to his table where he has 2 girls sitting. i say ok and go over and sit down. sure enough out comes the straw and he is snorting lines there. i don’t take much notice and he doesn’t offer so i kick back. finally after a short time i motion and ask what is it? he has little english and starts point to his head and mixing around like yea this stuff messes with your head, ok i kind of figured that. so i ask him is it cocaine? he looks like he has no clue to what i am talking about so i say ok, and i motion to try some. he says yes and invites me near him, i take my pinky and dip into it just for a small taste. well, tastes a little like coke but hard to tell as sometimes what they cut it with changes the taste. so he invites me to try so i do. but i only snort in a half a line or so a very small amount. well no instant rush like coke but i certainly notice it. so i sit back and wait to see what happens.
after about 5 minutes i started to feel a bit dizzy and lightheaded. club seemed different now. music was more pronounced like a heartbeat of the place, a background that we all fed from. ok i was high. still no idea what the stuff is. more people doing it at table next to me, hot chinese girl at my table does 3 lines at a time, everyone is drinking cola and no beer. starting to get a little paranoid now. three hours of non-stop techno is starting to get on my nerves a bit. i think about going outside for a break but then decide to just deal with it. i look around a lot of people are sleeping in their seats at the table! some have their heads down on tables. some just hunched over in chairs passed out. what the hell is this shit? my host seems ok, he’s constantly dancing but that’s about it.
ok, some time goes by i seem to come down a bit. a few more people show up at table and the social pressure situation comes on and once again and i am shown a few lines. i look down and say ok but only take a quarter to half of a line. some protests so i decide to up it a bit from the first time. so i take another half line. more protests but i am done.
this time it came on stronger and faster than last time. very difficult to describe but very tingly and sensations were sharpened. did not feel impaired per say just very odd. at this point i was wondering if i could walk. i had been drinking beer all night and now the beer did not taste good at all and i had no desire to drink. well that explains the colas. even smoking a cigarette or the last of my cigar was unnerving so i dropped both of those.
by now it was 4 am and i was thinking it was time to go home. i had been texting angelica all along and she was wondering why i was out so late. ok, i get up, say my thank you’s and off i go for the 2 block walk home. not drunk anymore but definitely fucked up. made it home fine, sent text to angelica, she was relieved. most chinese girls you meet and befriend will take a very strong interest in your daily well being. i get good morning texts all the time and “are you happy today” texts, its nice.
what a night. next day i wake up in the afternoon and i start texting my people here. what is this white stuff they are snorting in clubs? no one knows. at least not my people. talking with my partner here he decides it is some illegal drug (great) and that the police are merely guards hired by the club to keep things in order (great). he suggests i do not go back to that club again anytime soon. and i have to agree, wow.

so today is the first day of the mid-autumn festival, the moon is brightest tonight. so i text one of my girls and ask if she wants to go watch the moon tonight. “yes, ok.” great, i need a more normal night that’s for sure. oh wait, she just sent another message. "ok if i bring my gf i want you to meet her too". so much for my normal night. i know, i know tough life.

Shekou is still good as far as I know. 6 bars? Per street maybe. So much action in SZ that Shekou is a place I go to just for a distraction and some fun on a different level. But yea I would not say the action has died down by any means. I was there in October this year.

I have been coming to shenzhen every yr for 15 yr ,in every area of shenzhen mongering is going down hill not only in Shekou ,there used to be 3 time as many bbs and ktv as there was are today .
I think shekou are more cater for lawei and Lowu area cater to Hong konger and local and quality vary but girl in Lowu are much younger ,CP and DG action is also on the way down not like the good old days .

Thanks for the reply. The whole pick them from the bar thing sounded interesting and a change from the BBS/KTV/Sauna style of the rest of China, kind of like HK girlie bars without the high price. Figured change is always a good thing and a good distraction for a day or two.

Great report PE. Would that be "Red Branch"? Those girls on 'chicken bar street' and across from the Hai Tiao are pretty hungry these days, if I am any judge.
I would be interested to know if any bros have tried any of the (slightly) more upmarket chicken bars in Shekou. Can't recall the names of any of them, but one is in the China Agricultural Bank building (!) and another in the ground floor of the building diagonally opposite Times Plaza. Any news about these? Sorry I can't cite them by name, I will take better notes when I go up to see my current sweetie this weekend.

'Mandarin' is the usual Western-language term for putonghua, the official Chinese dialect/language of the PRC.

Opposite HaiTou hotel are about ten bars and in the street behind there are another 15 or so. Plenty choice.
Very safe. Many foreign persons use these bars and no trouble. Mostly western people but some Japanese there also.

Thank you for adding that rule. It should maybe be Rule1 because it is very important.
Rule 1 - Don't flash your cash! There are 2 reasons.
First reason - obvious. You might have robbery or people stealing yoiur money especially now because many people in SZ have no work and approaching New Year they need money.
Second reason - if the girls see youhave much money, the price goes up. Try to look like you do not have much money. Keep the price realistic.

Around every 5-star hotel in SZ you will be sollicited by touts. They will have a girl show up within minutes. After you take a look you can decide if you want to take her with you.
I find that the hotels don't care. I think last time I paid 300rmb. One shot but she was very cute, good, accomodating and not rushed.

IMHO, the purpose of this board is to share information. Most of us "experienced posters" as you put it, have already provided assistance in the form of our previous posts. I would guess that I have probably put up over 100 posts on the Futian area in Shenzhen with recent updates of what is going on there in terms of SW, BBS, Saunas, KTV with locations and pricing.
It has to do with how you phrase your question. If it appears that you have done some research, most of us will help you. If it appears that you are lazy and just want all the answers given to you on a platter, most of us will not.
I travel extensively. I read the local threads to get a general idea of the scene and then may post or PM a Senior Member for an update or clarification. For example in your case, "Has anybody been to the Futian Walmart BBS area recently?" Or, "I want to go the XXX Sauna in Futian, what is the best way to get there from the Sheraton?" Or, "I want to book a room at the YYY KTV, does anybody have a contact there?" It also helps if you report after your visit e.g. "I tried #ZZ at the XXX Sauna and..."

I don't think many of us are f/t or even p/t pimps, nor do many of us keep little black books, because the mobile #'s of the girls change so frequently. I don't know of any English speaking pimps. But to assist you, you are in one of the ground zero areas so:
1. Walk out the front or back door of this hotel and down the street a few feet and just stand there...you will be approached, by a pimp....hold out your fingers when negotiating the price and show him/her the room # on your room key.....language barrier solved.

There are english speaking pimps around Shangrila area. If you want they will take you to the apartments and show you the girls. It is generally safe. just do not take anything valuable and very little cash just to be on the safe side.
In china nobody is going to beat you up. If they beat up a foreigner they know they are in trouble. The pimps know this very well and they do not want crackdown on their trade.
Once you select a girl you have two options. To have fun right there or ask the girl to come to your room. Short time in your room will be 200 RMB. If you have fun in the girls room it can be 150 RMB.

You sound like a newbie. There are so much action just outside the shangrila that the only way you will miss it, is that if you were blind or someone that looks totally contagious and no one wants to be near you. I also think that you will be a prime target for ripoff artist. My advice is to pay the sucker price of double or triple the normal price. It is probably safer for you to just have a quiet talk with the bellman or the bell captain and spell out exactly what you are seeking and they will deliver the goods to your room. Most of the bellmen or bell captain speak a bit of english. Pickup an asian magazine and pick out girls that resembles what you are seeking. Since you guys are going to be there just for a few days you do not have time to figure out where all the hot spots are. You are also within walking distant (about twenty minutes) from Seibu where the rate and goodies are very cheap. Getting the girls from the bellman would also be a bit safer because if anything happens their (bellman) neck is on the noose.
You are not really going the be overpaying the girls. The bellman will discover unfound riches for the next few days. The bellman will make sure the the girls get the local rate and they themselves will make more than what the hotel pays them in the next few months. Really. Aw, heck, its CNY and all the locals need a few extra bucks to spend over the next few weeks.

My recommendation is to go down to the street from your Hotel, make a right, walk to the next alley and you will find some mamason. Go with them to see the girls. If you find a girl you like, it will cost you 200rmb to have them come to your room. Make sure you like the girl and that she is not afraid of you. You can then hand your room number (written on your hotel card) to the mamason tell her to have the girl come to your room in 5 minutes, then leave. The 200rmb you agreed on is for short time (1 shot), then if you and the girl click and you want her to stay the night, then ask her to come back to your room at a time both she and you agree to (this way, she will get to keep all the money and will be happier) or you can just tell her to stay now for the whole night.
I recommend this way because it would be bad for you to have a girl sight unseen, doesn't click and then to have her spend the night.

The Seamen's Shop next to the Nirvana Bar, has a hidden Chicken Ranch in the back (I think upstairs). Had a great time with a professional oil massage and HJ. Thats wht I am looking for, but hve been disappointed in lowu and dongmen. -CPEYes, the 5 star hotels have their own rules and policies. I agreed with you and I prefer to stay in 4 or lesser star hotel myself, they are much more girl friendly. The girls still have to pay but they pay less so in terms, you pay less. I stayed at the shangri-la once for convenience purpose because it was so close to the train station and that was the last time, they do not mind you bringing a girl yourself (before 10 pm) and as long as the girl does not look trashy. A wg once told me that they pay from 100 rmb and upward each time to be able to work in 5 star hotels. Thats why mommie always asks which hotel you are staying in before quoting you a price.

Yes, there are quite a few studio apartments in SZ. Does he prefer a serviced or unserviced one? Most unserviced apartments are gonna require a minimum 6 month lease. There are some nice serviced apartments in town, but also quite a bit more money (Compared to the USA, still very cheap though).

ThanksI am not a local, and don't know what sort of prices a studio would fetch and this may not be what your friend would like but i once stayed at the Metro Park Hotel (near Dongmen market); the room was closest to a studio i have stayed in, while in Shenzhen - there was a (sliding partition between the bed and living) though they had a kitchenette, utensils, dining table, safe, etc...
The hotel i think caters to long term visitors since on my floor there were a number of (russians?) who seemed to have live there - i think they might have been either teachers or business men :) a lot of books in their rooms and they usually left the front doors open. Used to have dinner parties nearly every night, and had a nice selection of girls working for them :) (well i don't know what kind of work).
Not really my type of place, though very comfortable and decent enough location - a bit of a walk to the metro (last year there was construction right outside).They nightly rate was 4XX, but i am sure they offer long term discounts.
Though he is coming for a few months and the feeling of your own apartment can be nice - (maybe more privare and discreet) but this place offers housekeeping, free internet, gym, massage and hotel amenities as well as being girl friendly. It would possibly be a good place to start his stay and wade into the local market once he gets familiar with the language, locations.

There are many Studio Apt available and cheap. Few months ago i was shown one in a nice building near the Mcdonalds in louhu area. It was only 2000 Rmb. The agent did not want any commission.
I guess they are not in much demand. It had a kitchen and bath and washing machine and A/C unit. I did not like it because you need to lie on a bed all the time to watch TV or do ther things. I like a living room.
So I rented a one bedroom Apt for 3000 RMB/month.

I went to Sebiu BBS.

For guys that's always travelling around with various chargers for multiple phones, cameras, and other re-chargeable batteried appliances - why don't you buy those RMB15 chargers which automatically detect the voltage charge required. Basically, you clip the battery to be charged against the 2 metal prongs and stick the whole thing on the wall socket - and Presto!
Saves me carryihg all sort of chargers and craddles and whatever.

Dont worry most LiIon batteries do (thats what we buy from China) but there is only a positive and negative terminal, just use the two on the outside and leave the one in the middle out and it will work perfectly. They are one smart gadget albeit a little fiddly until you get used to them. Trying to make them as common place in the UK as they are over in China, if I do I will make a million and can live the rest of my life in china with a big smile on my face !

No, most batteries have 3 - or even more "contacts" but all you need to do is to identify which are the + and - copntacts and stick the prongs on the charger against these contacts. If you got the right contacts, a green light will glow on the charger and when you stick the whole thing (battery and charger) into the the electric socket, Christmas-tree-like lights will start flashing. You should bring your batteries with you when you're buying the charger and ask the salesman to show you how it works.
BTW - I thought I got a great deal when I bought another charger in CP (forgot to pack it in my suitcase) and managed to bargain it down from RMB 15 to RMB 10; Great bargaining skills I thought ..... until I saw it being advertised on the pavement "on sale" by the same guy at RMB 8!!

Thanks to csun213, loso69 and master monger, I managed to find my way to a wank BS near the Golden Lohu Hotel, which is about a 10-minute walk past the Seibu love alleys. It was a similar set-up to the shampoo/wank shops that were once open in pink apartments area. I was told by the fellers it’s 40 RMB for short massage then oil wank. I saw a Chinese sign in shop that had 40 rmb on it, so all looked good. Went into back room with an absolute little stunner (about 19), no English. It was all going ok until she pointed to my dick and started making it clear that it was 40 rmb for massage, and 40 rmb for wank. So decided that for a mere 40 rmb, I’d be best to pay it and try and sort it out with papasan. So she wanked me off. I was made even more annoyed when I came in about 20 seconds! Must have been the stressful situation or something. Anyway, I dress while she’s out washing hands, then she rushes back in to collect her money. Here’s where it got interesting. Now, I’m not into hassles, or getting into dodgy situations, despite my annoyance at being ripped off. So I handed her the 40 rmb fee she wanted, intending to then go out and pay papasan the 40 rmb massage fee. And at that second, when I handed over her 40 rmb, not 80 rmb, did the tables turn. She demanded the full amount, and I quickly realized why. She would simply then go out front and and hand over the 40 rmb to papasan without letting on I’d given over 80 rmb. She was a little annoyed, but I knew I had her. I even gave her a little grin and wink, letting her know that the situation had changed. So out the front we go, and I think, bugger this, I’m going to stand my ground. So I tell papasan as best I could I’d paid her the fee already. And motioned to walk out of shop. Then he and girl talked. Not sure what she said, but I’ guessing something like “no, he agreed to tip me 40 rmb, and now he needs to pay you 40 rmb fee”. So I was disappointed when papasan turned to me and again asked for 40 rmb. Again, I refused. I was always polite, smiling. I kept pointing at the sign on wall, put 4 fingers up, and pointing to the girl’s pocket (where she’d put my money). Then they started chatting again and at there was another decisive minute right there. Cause the girl laughed in embarrassment, he sort of didn’t know what to do or say, and I took that chance and just waved and walked out briskly. And that was that. I will go back i think, cause there aren’t a lot of shops around like that. But this time, I’ll be taking time to be very clear of the deal. I also think it was just a bad apple of a girl. Krum Lov, the price is 40rmb including the HJ. You are right, the girl is trying to rip you off since she thought you could not compliant.
When you go back a second time, most of the girls should not try to rip you off again since you know the score.
You don't have to walk from the train station to the message place next time. Just get on bus A17 which will drop you off right in front of the Golden Hotel costs 2rmb or bus 205 which will drop you off across the street from Jing Peng Hotel for 3 rmb.
When you want to take the bus back, go to the front of Jing Peng Hotel, there is a bus stand, take A17 or 205 back to the train station.
I am sure there are other buses but these are the only 2 that I know.

I recently (last month) went through this very issue. I found that serviced apartments down in Shekou (quite nice ones) or long term hotel stays were outrageouly priced for foriegners at around 15 or 16K. Crazy, Hong Kong prices. I think things may actually be cheaper up in Futian or Lowu, where fewer foriegners want to base themselves.
I finally settled on a studio apartment (one large room, divided into a LR and a BR, separate bath, and a terrace with washing machine and hot water heater, etc.) in the Nanshan Walmart area for 2400/mo for 6 months. Yes, there was half a month's rent to pay to the agent, but it's reasonably clean and nicely furnished, just needs sheets and towels and an electric kettle. Walmart, here I come. I looked at some other studios in the same building, some were cheaper, closer to 2000.

I lived in Shanghai a a bit and was quite familiar with the scene there. I much prefer the Sauna experience over BBS, though from what I read in the SZ posts it seems the BBS areas offer walk-up or LT take-out, which should be OK.
I spent one night in SZ a couple of years ago at a hotel with a nightclub/disco. No idea of the name as I was just being led like a dog on a leash. The hotel was completely Chinese which is Ok since I can speak just a little. Anyhow I made a nice civilian friend who stayed for a few hours in my room.
But enough rambling. I have a few questions.
1. Staying in Four Points Sheraton. I understand this is not the best for mongering but there is at least one sauna within walking distance and the other places are close enough via cab. Hopefully metro is nearby.
Any suggestions on dealing with 4 Points (nearby activities, spas, nightclubs, bars, take-out, etc is appreciated). Chinese nightclubs and/or expat nightclubs that are not 100% working girls? U-bar is mostly working from what I hear.
2. Is there a pharmacy nearby where I can get genuine V or C? Never tried but am interested, particularly in C.

The HK newspapers are full of ads for FS saunas in SZ. I have checked a few out recently and even found the girl in the picture was really available.
That said, it is very difficult to find a place where you get FS and a good massage. It is usually one or the other.

If you go down Shennan Road past the Intercontinental Hotel you will come to a subway stop. Just near the subway exit C1 (I think) is a Sauna that offers "VIP Massage" which is code for FS.
It is on the same side of Shennan as WWW and the Intercontinental and it is the second subway stop from the end (called Qiao Cheng Dong). Look for a Sauna. It will say "Leisure Center" or something like that in English.

Was in Luohu a couple of days ago, and man, it was much quieter than usual. What struck me was how empty the restaurants were at lunch time. Business must be bad in Luohu too. Didn't check out any BBSs cause I didn't have time.
Even Queen's Spa is having discounts: their minimum is now 68 rmb (used to be 98), and cheapest "xiao1fei4" (amount to spend) is now 98 instead of 168. Not sure what you get for that as the ad doesn't say, probably a body massage.
If you want a cheap place to have a meal, there is this new Chinese buffet place on 2045 ChunFeng road. It's called Jia1Le4 Yuan2. Around the corner from Queen's Spa, across the road from a McDonald's and MaoJia restaurant. They charge you for whatever items you choose at the cash. Had lunch there for 16 rmb (rice, pork chop, green beens, cabbage). You can have a cheap, meatless meal for 8 rmb. Food was actually decent considering what you are paying.

Huanggang Happy Sauna Spa
I was recently over the CNY holiday in SZ with the family and had an afternoon off from visiting the local amusement parks. So decided to go back to one of the older but fairly well maintained sauna spas within walking distance of the HG border metro stop and just down the block from Oriental Palms Springs. The spas is upgrading and remodeling its shower area (which it needed) but the rest of the place is about the same – a bit tired now but once upon a time quite opulent. There is a large hot and dry saunas and one big pool with the waterfall pressure massages. The large sitting area has the big recliner chairs with individual flat screen tv’s. The chairs need to be reupholstered and the general area needs freshening up. But it is clean and all of the equipment works.
For Rmb 89 you get 1 parlor service (head massage, foot massage, pedicure, manicure etc) and a full 2 hours (120 minutes) traditional Chinese massage on standard massage table with the hole for your face. They also give you a free fruit plate, non-alcoholic drink and free internet bar with about 5 computers that have mics and camera. In the past we have called overseas friends and had the pretty servers and massage girls come by to say hi and smile for the camera. Quite fun for the girls and all of us except for the poor guys stuck in the States!
Over the past few years, I have been there probably 25 to 50 times and have always gotten good to great massages but was offered a happy ending on only one occasion by a massage girl I had requested numerous times. My colleague still think I am making up a story about that 1 time offer as none of them have ever gotten close to an offer of a HE.

I patronized a legit sauna in Futian for many years. Like you, I probably went there over 50 times. Same deal, 68 RMB for Chinese and 88 RMB for Thai style with a foot massage thrown in free.
I tried 10-15 girls before I found #39. I would judge my chances for more action by how close they came to my groin area during the massage. Some seemed to be so scared that they would not even massage above mid thigh. All the girls would tell me that HJ was out of the question. It seems that the management would send spies in to see if the girls would provide any extras. Getting caught meant immediate dismissal. I repeated with a few good prospects, but nothing came of it.

It is GF and if you just walk down the driveway, you will be acosted by mommies and papas. There is also many shops just across at the railway station. Literally over a few hundred shops. That is where you could anything and almost everything.
Even though they have pictures of world leaders that have stayed at the hotel, I personally do not like it. It is quite dated. I prefer to stay at the New Times hotel just about two blocks up, closer to the shopping center and the main road. The New Times hotel is much nicer and the price per night is atleast 30% cheaper than the Best Western.
This is just some basic advice since you are a newbie. You should really take some time and just read the past posting and you will find more information than you will need. What we do here is trade information and you should read, explore and then come back to the forum and share your experience.

The Best Western Felicity Inn is located right next to the Train Station, MTR is located within the station as well and this hotel is a stone's throw away from the HK border. It is a decent 4 Star Hotel.
It is within walking distance of the fun areas (even shorter distance, if you cut through the train station ;)) Pink Apts, Seibu and tons of saunas, KTV's and restaurants all around.
I remember one fella who stayed there, actually was pulling from the Luohu Commerical Center, he bought a few shirts and a shot of ass at the same time!

At some point in the past the Best Western Felicity was a pretty good hotel but as Bnlee2 said, it is quite dated and plus it is a pain crossing that street unless you go up and around. They do however have pretty good English speaking staff. I did stayed there once but that was the one and only time.
Now the New Times hotel is great but it is a long 2 blocks from the train station, I got it for 558 per night last October. They put me up on the corner of 12th floor and what a view, there are plenty of actions within walking distance of the hotel and Seibu is only about a 15-20 minutes walk. 7-11 and an internet bar across the street, a pretty good Chinese dim sum restaurant and as Bnlee2 mentioned a shopping center with many high-end shops plus a very clean supermarket full of western products in the basement. And if I remember correctly, a Chinese version of Walmart is around that area as well.

Hi all. I had been to dongguan around a year back and stayed at the winnerway hotel. They had an in house sauna which had a cracking lineup and I chose from the model category (tall ones) for 600rmb. It was the best rmb spent till date for 2 hrs. There was everything offered (FS) including a hot and cold BBBJ.
I am planning now to go to SZ and was wondering if similar offerings are possible there? Is it practical to stay in dongguan and travel to SZ everyday, considering my Chinese speaking skills are zilch?

I was staying at the vienna hotel in Futain before flying back home to the US, take a walk aroung the old futain Walmart area most all the HJ sauna place is still around, I saw many mommie in the area total 5 most in see for a long time.

I spend a few days checking out all the sauna action in SZ, there are a few sauna around futain walmart area offer oil massage 2 hr with HJ and thigh and breast massage happy ending for 168 rmb, most of the sauna in the area no longer offer the full package, you need to go the the sauna in the Ha sha and Huanggang village area where you can get FS for 300 to 500 rmb depend on how nice is the room and spa.
The enconomy is bad in SZ most sauna is hurting for customer but they are not dropping price not yet anyway.

Also a bit confused about your post. You are scared to get into a taxi, but don't mind walking around the more seedier areas?
Anyway, many of the saunas near the train station will do oil with a Happy Ending. You often just gotta ask for the HJ part. If a sauna does or not do it, then come back here and report about and suddenly you have contributed to the forums.
My theory is, if its one of those big, nice fancy saunas, then most likely HJ and FS are out of the question. If it's a smaller or older joint, the chances are much better for them. I know this is not a rock solid theory, but it works majority of the time for me.
The sauna on the next door, back side of the Shangri-La, used to give Happy Endings.

I did said near Walmart Futian area is on Fuxing rd. There are more than 12 sauna in this area offer HJ some even FS.
You need to understand and do some research yourself shenzhen is a big city and there are sauna everywhere, I will not just go to Futain just for a HJ, like SEAJ said learn some Mandarin and just walk around the area and explore.

Your perception is correct. Many of us senior members have been reluctant recently to post exact locations on the public forum. This is to keep the BSDs and crazies from spoiling our little heaven here. I have watched China mongering go downhill over the years in terms of prices, service, availability, quality, etc. Obviously, ISG is not the only reason, but certainly a contributing factor. That said, most of us are willing to share via the PM function with other members that have made contributions to the forum even if not on the China threads.
Newbies with questions that show they have obviously not RTFF ("Where is Seibu?") [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) us off since we have spent the time to post most of what they want to know in the past. I can understand that if can be cumbersome to sort through all the chit chat (IMHO, there is too much of it) to find the morsels, but at least scroll back a few pages and ask educated questions. Or, use to Search Function to pinpoint areas of interest.
It is true that some of us senior members have formed an "inner circle" of trusted mongers that we share freely with. Induction is not discriminatory. Most new members in the circle are from referrals from other members that can vouch for them. We just want assurance that no BSD's or crazies screw up what we have spent time and money figuring out.

The hotel itself will most likely have a legit spa and massage. Overpriced of course. There may or may not be an in-house FS sauna. If they do, it will be similarly overpriced.

You may have found the area, but not necessarily the same girls. It is not uncommon to find a few BBS in the same area as hutong girls. The Marco Polo Hotel in Futian is near the Huanggang area and not to far from ShaZui. I would recommend those places over the CoCo park bars. CoCo Park may have some high priced freelancers but that's probably all.
There are some street walkers between CoCo Park and the Big Black Sheraton Hotel but I think you need a car to successfully pick them up. OAH is the expert on this topic.
To get to Huanggang Cun (cun = villiage and is pronouced "Tsun") go south on JinTian road. The area just before you bump into Hong Kong is full of action. ShaZui Cun is abit farther to the west of Huanggang Cun along the border, but it's an easy taxi ride from you. ("Shah-tsway Tsun").
Abit closer, and just down XinZhou road, past CoCo Park, is the Royalty Hotel. The area around that Hotel also has some small action (on both sides of XinZhou road).
You may just want to hit a massage parlor inside your hotel. Most hotels have something available.

After having been to a business event I ended up with a friend at the Chicken street in Shekou, the back ally one. There were two very cute young girls that took very good care of us in one of the bars. However, we did not do anything too naughty with them, only dancing, touching and drinking. After an hour or so, we decided to see what the total damage was. Then came the chock. Mamasan behind the counter claimed that we had shared 24 drinks between us and claimed us on a four digit sum. What!!! After the chock settled we tried to call her over to clear up the mistake. But she was very unwilling to speak with us. We then put about half the claimed amount on the desk and began to make our way out. Suddenly four not so pretty ladies showed up in front of the door and refused to let us out. We stood up and tried negotiate with them for almost half an hour with the few words of mandarin that we know. But we made no progress. When I tried to open the door out, mamasan suddenly grabbed an empty bottle and a stick and made a few swings at us. Me and my friend are by no means any fighters, we would probably even lose against the cute girls we just had been dancing with in a fight, so we saw no other option than to sit down and try to wait out the situation. Mamasan then emptied the bar from other guests, including a mafia guy (probably the owner of the establishment) who so far had been watching from a corner. There was a stand still for another 15 minutes when only me, my friend and mamasan with her stick and bottle was in the bar. Finally, she got a phone call and suddenly she was willing to settle for a sum somewhere between our initial negotiation points. After that she gave us one extra beer each and asked us not to speak bad about her pub to our friends. China is bizarre.

I was in Shenzhen for a couple of days last week so I decided to check out the pink building it was around 5pm. I walked around a sort of maze and come to a couple of small shops and a couple of resturants sort of end of street. There was a lot of girls sitting around few walking up down. Mummie fronted me 150 there I want to take back to hotel 200. I pick a girl but didn't want to go back to hotel with westerner mummie tryed a few more no luck. She told me to come back around 9pm more girls on.

Hmmm... difficult to tell whether you found the right area. Your description of the place you ended up in is a bit vague. I would say it's about 50/50 that you ended up in the right place.
The "pink apartments" were so named because a couple of apartment buildings there have pink tiles. While it is a great name to use on ISG, it's virtually useless on the street. Say "pink apartments" to a cabbie and see where that gets you. Translate "pink apartments" into Mandarin, and the result is the same.
The pink apartments are inside Luohu village (罗湖村 = Luo2 Hu2 Cun1). The village is pretty small, you can traverse the whole place in about 10-15 minutes. So once you get to the village, it's a gimme.

Your story is all too familiar for the Shekou girlie bars. Drink tabs that run absurdly high. I have said this a couple of times already on this thread: they don't rip you off on the girls (sex), they rip you off on the drinks.
Yes, it is possibly to pay for only the drinks you order, if you know what you are doing, maybe... Put your foot down from the beginning, verify every order, don't run a tab, pay right away. But all in all, it's too much trouble, too high a risk. And for what? It's not like the Shekou bar girls are pretty, quite on the contrary. They cater to laowais, so usually there is at least 1 girl/mamasan who speaks enough English to smooth over things.
A while ago, a friend of mine got a call from his friend. He had been drinking in one the Shekou girlie bars for a few hours. Had 4 girls keep him company and drink with him. He was probably at least a bit drunk by then. At the end, the bill came to 5000 rmb just for the drinks. The thing is, this guy, although a laowai, has been in China a number of years and speaks pretty good Mandarin. So language and familiarity with China were not an issue. The police were called in. A similar story from a not so subtle acquaintance of mine. He started out in one of the chicken bars at about 8PM. After at least 2 bottles of liquor with upwards of 5 girls, he was presented with a bill for 12K at 4AM. This guy is a seasoned monger that has been in SZ for more than 5 years.
These places absolutely rely on you getting drunk and stupid to make their money. I still don't understand why people go to Chicken Bars!
You want to drink with hot women in SZ, there are plenty of normal places. Want to take a girl home? I've never had a problem pulling working girls or regular girls from bars in SZ.
Just returned from 9 Day Trip there. My best advice to anyone who has never been there and does not speak the language, is unless you have a " Wing Man or Friend who knows the area, you will be lost!
The Language is tough enough but the roads and alleys along, with taxi's can be very frusterating. When I do go back I will definately try to find someone as a guide, very well worth it.
On another upside I stayed at the Sheraton Futian and was able to score twice inside the Hotel. This shocked me as the Lobby is crawling with wall to wall security guys 24/7 but I found 2 girls (One in the Main Lobby Lounge) and they other upstairs in thr Havana Bar. One stayed the whole night and the other wanted too but we settled on a few hours.
Be advised that I may have just lucked out because this did not appear to be the norm as out of the remaining nights there, I did not see any other girls or opportunities. I am sure the Hotel Security knew more what was going on but there is some potential if you are staying here but it is hit or miss.

We then went to check out the chicken bars behind the main area. This was around 4-5 PM, so only a few were open for business. And Oh my God, the quality was bad. There was exactly 1 do-able girl, around a 6-7/10. The rest were just not acceptable. And yes, they tried the game of "come inside, have a drink". But having been forewarned by me, we didn't take the bait. The girls particularly liked Santa, the big, ole lug. We bid our farewells to Sukhumvitter and CPExpat at this point.
After that, we headed over to ShaZui. The place is a shell of its glory days. There were some offerings in the backalleys. Reasonable quality, which is to say much better to Shekou. We saw about 10-15 girls out on the street. Didn't want to follow any touts/mommies inside to see more.
We then zoomed off to Seibu/XiangXiCun BBSs. Everything was closed, not a WG in sight.
Off we went to another BBS in Shenzhen. Same story, shops were closed. We did manage to see a few girls inside and on the street. Nobody took anything.
Off we went to Futian Walmart area. OAH is the expert on this area, but even he couldn't track down any girls.
We pretty much gave up after that, went to our favourite restaurant for Beijing roast duck. At least that was good. This place serves it with the meat. Great deal, 78 rmb for a whole duck.
After dinner, we cruised around the OAH's favourite streetwalker area off CaiTian road. The quality was average to say the least.

Don't know the name of the place but I'm guessing it should be around the area of the pink apartments as that is close to where my buddy lives. At most places it costs around 98rmb, plus tips of course. Sounds like the economic downturn is hitting all sectors. Anyway, will be back in SZ in April to find out. Really enjoy these massage places as the gals are quite interesting and just a good place to relax after a visit at the pink apartments and to practice my rather lame Mandarin. As Mega said, if you chat up the gals they may give you their phone number, QQ, email, etc and want you to call them. I suppose for repeat business or maybe a free dinner or more. I am stupid. Take Shennan Road east, and then Wenjin Road north. If you keep following Wenjin Road you'll hit Honghu Road. Go northwest on that street and you'll see the Wal-Mart.
Damage was certainly 150, as it looked to be a "cleaner" BBS. Not sure if it's the place that krom lov is thinking of, but the name (Hua Bei Ling) is certainly the right one.

Thanks for your report. I'm only guessing as I still haven't explored, but the original catacombs report sounds like it's not the same area you went to. From my understanding, you stay on shennan rd, head east and cross over wenjin rd, walk a further 1500 feet, then enter the catacombs area through a door in a big billboard. (again, it's supposedly on northern side of shennan rd itself). And once inside, they don't sound like normal BBSs. Yes, directions sound a bit odd. Who knows if the billboard is even still there, as the report is over a year old. Anyway, hope you can explore again as I'm not sure when I'll be back in shenzhen.

Cooler1500 RMB for the Overnight ( 8 hrs & 300 for a 2 hr Visit) I know way high priced but I didnt have to do any searching and it was right inside the Hotel. Just beware that I dont think this is a normal hang out for these girls as I looked every night but found nothing on most nights. Just be advised that some of these 4-5 star hotels do have some potential even if it is a long shot.

Places like that are a dime a dozen in Luohu. For a 2 hour Chinese-style body massage, it's as low as 68 rmb, sometimes even lower. And they'll throw in a 1 hour foot massage for free.
A lot of these places have mandatory tipping. At the small places, my rule of thumb is 10 rmb tip per hour of service performed. 10 rmb per hour is fair for both sides. The girls get paid only 3-4 rmb per hour by the house. So if you don't tip them, they will starve. 13-14 rmb per hour is the going rate for that kind of work in Luohu.
1 hour is usually defined as 45 minutes. So your 1 hour foot massage will be 45 minutes, and your 2 hour body will be 90 minutes. The tipping thing is a custom that blew over from HK. At first I was cursing the Hongkies for introducing this, but now I actually like it. If the massage girl doesn't do a good job, she can kiss her tip goodbye. Whereas in the non-tipping places there isn't much recourse. You can be-atch a bit, but that's about it.
In the big, fancy places like Queen's Spa, the girls will slap you if you dare tip these chintzy amounts.
Anyway, can anyone tell me where or how to get a proxy address to access the site.

There are many of this foot massage place all over Shenzhen ,there are even cheaper price sauna even before the economy downturn this yr ,most of this cheap sauna have inexperince girl offer bad service and they only work on tips ,I got a 2 hr service one hr foot and one hr massage for 55 rmb and the girl get only 5 rmb ,I feel bad so I tip her 20 rmb she is average in look so I didn't ask if extra is avalible .
So if you want a lousy cheap ass massage ,this kind of place is for you ,if you want a nice sauna with large room and extra stay away .

Here's a report on my visit about 2 weeks ago. Wanna say thanks to SEAJ and Wadman for giving me the directions. Should have listened to u all and joined u in CP. For sure, I regretted spending my last night in China in Luohu instead of CP.
I was attracted to check out the Seibu area as the last time I was there (late Nov 08), accidentally, I saw the quality of gals was good...in fact there are at least 5 gals I would have bonked but didnt have the time. And it was 10 in the morning. I could just imagine what the place would be at night. Heard that there are FLs standing along the street too at midnight.
How things turn out to fall way below my expectation. Checked in a 3 star hotel (i forgot the name) which supposed to be known for its sauna. Went up to the top floor to check the sauna and the gals quality were below par compared to what I would get for the same price (about 500 rmb) in CA, CP or Zhuhai. Checked out 2 more saunas later that night and I can conclude Luohu is not the place for Sauna.
Anyways, I was there for the BBS and to the pink apartments I went. The place is under police check so the activities are carried out in hush-hush manner. The touts are more discreet only a few shops (where the gals sit it) are open. The tout brought me in to the apartment and made me wait for the gal to come 1 by 1. This is too time consuming, so I left for the Seibu area.
Similar situation in Seibu BBS, the activities are carried out discreetly. The touts brought me in to check the stocks in their apartment instead of displaying them in BBS along the alleys. Quality and quantity has dropped really low. I strolled out of the area before coming back for the streetwalkers at midnight. Due to the checks, they now no longer stand on the street but hang out at a cybercafe on the 2nd floor of a building next to the hospital. The touts will bring you there. Took a big boob gal who turn out to be new in the business to my hotel, did the deed, paid 200 rmb, sent her back and roamed some more. I hung out there until 4 am and the choices didnt improve so decided to call it a night.
I returned the next day about 11 am to seibu BBS and the place is open for business already. In fact, I found out they never close. Different set of gals then but at this time, they come out to the alley as the police is not working yet. It's better to come here during the day than at night. Took a gal and got a quicky at their crappy room. Both of my bonks here werent great so not really worth describing.

I usually frequent Friendship Sauna when in SZ and I think I have been tipping a little too much. Usually 20 to the footie gal and 40 or 50 for the 2 hour massage. I wanna check out this place to find out what the fuss is all about on this place.

I usually like a strong solid hard massage. I have been to a few places in Louhu and they have usually been decent for massages. However, it is hard to find a good place in Louhu area with both a good massage and a happy ending. Tried a small place around the pink apartments and the massage was mediocre. Anyway, only been to one place where there was a happy ending after a solid massage but this was in the Futian area. Total cost was 220rmb. I think I had to go to the 5th metro stop and then a 10 minute walk from there. Sorry can't remember the name as my friend took me there. Will try to make a note of the places next time and post.

A door in a billboard? Huh? The area near Wal-Mart (Hua Bei Ling) is definitely a catacomb area, as the streets are crooked and winding and there are a ton of dead ends, and I tried to cover the entire Hua Bei Ling area. After talking with the street touts, I'm pretty sure I went to the right area.
I was walking around Jiabin Road and saw a couple really hot chicks, and since I had nothing to do I followed them for a bit. Thank goodness they didn't venture too far - they went into the employee's entrance of the Sunshine Hotel. I know there's a sauna there that's "independently managed" in B1, but when I went down there, I was given a wrist key (like the Queen Spa), and was presented a menu of options: lots of things like ear cleaning, head massage in the public area, and then four massages ranging from around 300 to 500 in a private room, tips inclusive. The formality of the place, and the no-tipping policy made me think it was a straight place and I didn't check it out... I was just reading in a Chinese mongering forum, someone mentioned that the rumor is the sauna girls are available for service in your room. Anyone with experience on the Sunshine Sauna? Thanks.

So here goes my first report to the forum.
I made it to Shenzhen and started to walk around a bit. Outside the hotel I was quickly approached by some touts. Given the time of the day and my general mode I did not feel like walking around much more, so I decided to make a go for it.
After a bit of discussion we agreed on 600 RMB (they started at 900). I give the guy my name and hotel number as he needs that for the hotel registration, and 20 minutes later the door bell rings.
A young and relatively pretty girls gets in, we agree and after a common shower we end up in bed. There she is not very active, once could easily say very passive...
To make the story short it was not worth the 600 RMB.
After this I send her off, and go down to the hotel bar to have a beer before going to bed. I don't have to sit long before I am approached by a attractive girl by the name Mona Lisa... After a few minuts she wants to have my room number.
I try to make clear that I am not interested, but she insisit on giving my her mobile number in case I can't fall asleep...

I don't know Friendship sauna (or maybe I have been there, but don't remember the name) so I don't know what kind of place it is. Again, small place: 10 rmb/hour. Bigger, fancier places, especially inside a high-end hotel, the tips will be more.
Not all massage places have a tipping system. The ones in the Luohu area often do. If there is an official tipping system, the girl will present you with a paper slip to sign after the massage. On the slip, you can circle the amount you want to tip. Marco Polo is a pretty highend hotel. At least 4 stars, maybe 5 stars. So the pricing goes accordingly. But you should be able to negotiate down to 400 rmb for ST easily. 300 rmb if you negotiate hard enough. Don't be afraid to say "no thanks" and walk away.

Nice first report. If it makes you feel any better, many people overpay in these hotels. I did the first time, mainly because I didn't know pricing or have ISG information. But also because you go through a handler/runner, and have to pay off the hotel security. I know the Shangrila was NOT girl-friendly, but with some grease, anything is possible.
Outside on the street, BBS pricing is 120-150, add something for the pimp, add something for the security and you end up with 4-500 easily. You did overpay (specifically for a 5 star place hotel room service), but only slightly.
The quality is completely random, and does not correlate with price.

Fast eddie 48Yes, in most of the apartments, the girls are there voluntarily and can leave when they wish. However the Pink Apartment mommies operate differently. Those girls are often lured to SZ with promises of high paying jobs as waitresses, etc. The pimps, or sometimes their BFs recruit at their village, very often Hunan, offer to cover their travelling expenses, abit of front money for parents, etc.
So arriving at SZ they find they've been sold into the flesh trade to the Pink Apartment mommies, with no money to pay back for their transportation but to work on their back. Can't run away cause the pimps know their family and threatens harm.
In the other apartments, where girls turn up voluntarily, often enticed by their GFs, the pay scheme is often like so: Out of the 100Y that punters pay, they keep 70 and the mommie who introduced the punter gets 30. The deed is often done in the pimping mommie's apartment, even if she might live next door. The room for the deed is provided by the pimping mummie as part of her 30Y fee. If it is 150Y, then the gal gets 100 and the mommie gets 50Y.
So where does the mommie where the girl is lodging at come in? Well, the girl pays 50-70Y for room and board. And it is collected each morning. They very seldom let the girls run too high a tab. So after awhile, a not so pretty girl is running in the red. Often to her friends who lend her the boarding fee. She can run away cause her GFs won't really come hurt her or her family.
Forgot to mention that there are lots and lots working as mommies. Some have their own stable of house gals, while others just collect their fee from being the introducer. Everybody getting rich off selling the girl.
I suppose it must be remunerative enough for some, as I know some of the girls have been there for months. Others decide selling themselves ain't for them and split the very next morning.

That's just details on one gal who quit after one day, infact after their first intro into the biz. I'm not rough on them, far from it. Which is why the mommies entrusted new arrivals to me cause they know I'm a gentle guy. Oh, back to why I said the girls belong to the mommies at the Pink Apartment. During their evening line up. Very odd to see actually. They would actually form a line, running the length of the street, in the middle of the street. No traffic allowed in that compound. The line up is opposite a restaurant. I suppose the guys are in there eating and surveying their after dinner dessert, but when I glanced, there weren't that many diners. The time I was there, I had my favorite mommie from my usual apartment in tow to sweet talk the girl into coming back to my hotel. Eyeballed a girl who looked like she had just arrived, and indeed my mommie told me later, she had just shown up that afternoon. I stood 3 meters away and let my mommie do the negotiation with her. Soon as she left the line with my mommie, a beligerent mommie came after them and bellowed as to what was going on. My soft spoken mommie was yelled at and told that the girl belonged to her and cannot leave the compound. So there, the girls at the Pink Apartments do belong to their mommies. And no take aways.
I haven't bothered with going there ever since. Too much effort and a waste of time when I have an endless supply in the apartments surrounding my hotel, with mommies I can chew the fat with and who let me have the girls for longish ST without griping. Yeah, even broke my record and had a ST gal for 5 hours and then the mommie took over, and serviced me overnight!

1) The hotel is on the corner of Sungang East Road and Bao'an Road. It's a lot futher West than the areas you mention. It'll be about a 10 minute cab ride to the Shangri-La, and about 15 minutes to the Seibu area. Note that 'Seibu' will only get you blank stares, so you might want to use the Queen Spa as a reference point - I'm sure the hotel guys will know where that is.
Seibu is very frequently empty these days, so I'm not sure that's a good place to go. Some of the other BBS areas may be better bets. Btw, the Pink Apartments had superb selection last night, but also a ridiculous number of mongers.
2) Every hotel in Shenzhen is girl friendly in terms of bringing girls back. Not sure if they'll procure girls for you though, as I've never stayed there.
3) Again, don't know.

I wouldn't go that far and said that all hotels in SZ is girl friendly, but if you stay away from the branded 5 star hotels; you will definitely be fine.

1) Yes, too far to walk. Cabs are quick and cheap, maybe 20 rmb.
2) Lots of hotels, especially the bigger ones have touts/mommies working the lobby or just outside the hotel. They will deliver but charge more. Make sure you negotiate. Opening price is likely to be something ridiculous.
Pimps don't control whether girls can go to your room. But for some hotels, it's better if you escort the girl up. Otherwise she may be turned away or ask to pay a fee by hotel staff.
3) No clue. Maybe I have seen the hotel driving by, but don't remember. If the hotel is decent size, it may have an in-house FS sauna.
Once again, maybe we should quit using names like: Seibu BBS, Queen's Spa, Pink Apartments. Because using these names will only get you blank stares from taxi drivers and hotel staff. Learn some survival Chinese to get by. It's China after all.
If you don't speak Mandarin at all, or only very little, it's unlikely that Chinese people will be able to understand you. So do yourself a favour and copy down the Chinese characters below and show to a cabbie.

After wining and dining this gal three times, the cost of it probably cost more than a paybie. If you proceed in having her as your girlfriend, the cost may really adds up. You can proposition any English speaking girl in Shenzhen, Seoul, or San Francisco, it's just a matter if you can close the deal. And in my experience, the vast majority of men hitting on girls in general is FAIL.
Most chicks realize that they are booty call when they're with a white guy, especially in the case of Jayson's story - it's clear he knows Shenzhen pretty well from his past posts, but going to a guy's hotel usually doesn't forebode a relationship.
