Knocked off work a bit early today and got the driver to drop me off across the river so I could do a bit of walking since it was a nice afternoon.

so you're coming to tianjin just for p4p? wow, first time i've heard of that, although you could do much worse. actually, tijuana has a little of everything and prices are very reasonable compared to beijing.

tianjin is a large city. since you don't seem to have a preference for location, i'll suggest 2 decent hotels in different areas.

the port area of tanggu is around 40km east of city center but easily accessible by either high speed train (20 min) or light rail (45 min). if you're into suanas it's probably the best place to be as there are dozens of them from low to high end and prices are lower than in town. in tanngu the baohai holiday hotel should meet your needs ok and can be booked through elong for rmb168 9as of this writing). it has a sauna, but no fs there, only oil massage w / hj. for the real sauna experience there are other places nearby.

if you'd rather stay in town i'd recommend the xiangjiang holiday hotel, also booked via elong. it's a nice, small hotel with small but nicely furnished rooms and not far from the henan road red light district and a few bars where young ladies seek company.

the port area of tanggu is around 40km east of city center but easily accessible by either high speed train (20 min) or light rail (45 min). if you're into suanas it's probably the best place to be as there are dozens of them from low to high end and prices are lower than in town. in tanngu the baohai holiday hotel should meet your needs ok and can be booked through elong for rmb168 9as of this writing). it has a sauna, but no fs there, only oil massage w / hj...

However, would really like to find the good tourist take home bars in BJ and Tijuana both. I'm OK paying too much, because that's what tourists do. I don't really want to get "fucked" before I get fucked, but overpay is OK.

I'll be in Beijing for the next few days, then to Tianjin on Wednesday through Monday. Would like some pointers, appreciate any and all help. I'll buy the beers if someone is willing to offer chauffer services.

I have been looking around the Anshan Dao / Shaanxi Road area, there are many places dotted about, and most seem like normal hand job places. But there is one small part of Henan road, in between Anshan Dao and Wanquan where there are maybe 8 places one the same side of the road, then a couple around the corner, from the ones I have visited and by the looks of the rest, I'd say they all probably offer a FS. The normal seems to be 100 for 20 minutes, one place offered bareback for 200, but don't think anyone would be stupid enough to take that risk in an area like this. I haven't met one who actually will / likes giving head, might give a quick go but just end up gozzing when they finish. In most of these places the women are older / not great lookers, there are a couple nice ones though, and if anyone knows somewhere that offers BBBJ let me know.

Despite being hit early last year, like every other major city in the PRC, by a major crackdown, there's still plenty of action to be found. IMO, Tianjin is STILL the bath / sauna capital of Nothern China.

There are fewer places in the Henan Rd area (between Nanjing Rd & the river) and almost everything is gone from Henan Rd itself. Adjacent streets, however, still have dozens of small MP / bbs-type places. Quality varies but prices are unchanged, in my experience (100-200 for FS). PM me for specifics. This area is not far from the east train station (fast trainservice to / from Beijing).

Going northwest Henan Lu ends at Zhian Dao. Turn left and, after one block, there will be a few MPs (one on the left, 4 on the right). Turn right at Guangshan Dao and there are a couple more on your right. These places are all HE-only places, but some have young cute girls, 100 for massage w/HE.

In Nankai, Chuxiong Dao, like Henan Rd, has been more or less cleaned up. Very little left of the MPs / BBSs that lined the street just a year or so ago. But similar places are still to be found in adjacent streets, incl a couple of saunas and plenty of low end BBS-type places.

In northern Hebei district, the area around Zhongshan Lu (near the Holiday Inn Express) is still alive. This area has a mixture of HE-only and anything-goes places. Quotes for FS tend to be higher in this area (300 and up) but most will bargain. Again, a mix of young and "mature", but some real gems to be found.

Going further northeast on Zhongshan Lu, just before you get to the north train station, in the neighborhood bordered roughly by Zhongshan, Yuewei and Wuma Rd there are dozens of places incl at least one sauna. I've visited 2 MPs, where I got a decent massage +BJ for 200 in one, massage +FS for 200 in another (with a cute girl with bleached blonde hair).

I've visited 5 saunas in the last year and I've only scratched the surface. Some are better than others, all much, much better value than anything in Beijing. The better places run around 500 these days for ISO 9000 service, 300 for basic services is the middle market. These are in Tanggu, Tianjin and Wuqing. The best I've found is south of the outer ring road and has a fishbowl with 50+ lovelies, 538 incl sauna fee.

I've also visited Jixian and Jinghai (Tianjin), both of which have plenty of action at very affordable prices; KTVs, MPs, Saunas, etc.

I know of literally dozens of other places scattered around, and beyond, the city. Plenty of action, guys. You just have to learn what to look for.

I've been treated to good service in two places in recent months that were operating in "stealth mode"; in both cases, I'm sure, because they knew a foreigner would not be LE.

Having said that, a bit of Chinese will help. If nothing else, make sure to have a good translator ap on your phone.

But, I did not want to give up, I told the guy, my friend was here a few days ago and there was a fishbowl. Initially, he said there was nerve a fishbowl. I immediately communicated with Dragin with WeChat and showed him the conversation. He finally said because I was not a VIP member, he cannot show me the fishbowl. During the conversation, I ordered two packs of sig and drinks, one for me and one for him. He finally agrees to show me the girls in the room. He then led to the 6th floor. JB.And I echo JB regarding his experience. Acting on the same tip from EBD, I too visited this Tianjin establishment. However, there was no happy ending (literal or otherwise) to my story. Kudos to JB for his quick thinking and cultural understanding (greasing the manager's palm)!

I'm not sure what date JB visited the place, but I went on May Day. Yes, after I fought the vacationing crowd going from Beijing South to Tianjin station, then another 30+ minute plus subway ride, and finally a 40 RMB taxi ride, I arrived at the establishment. I was pretty exhausted at this point and requested to check in for an overnight room. I thought I was in business when they placed me in a penthouse-esq room on the top floor! 15 minutes later though, a manager came with my cash refund in hand, told me to vacate the premise because the hotel "was not registered with local authorities to receive foreign guests". (I was traveling with a US passport.) Alright, I thought, at least let me go down and have my fun, I'll find some place nearby to stay. After I got back to the first floor, bathed and changed into my luxurious spa-issued pajama shorts, I was ushered to a higher floor for massage. (It was not the appointed "fish bowl" time so I didn't bother.) A very pretty "massage technician", sexy and all dolled up, led me to a room with a big round bed. First thing she made clear to me, was that there were to be NO EXTRAS, only legit massages will be given. I was like, stop joking, do I look like LE? Listen to how I speak Chinese. I flirted, joked, pled, to no avail. I asked to see the manager, perhaps he'll find me a girl who was willing. No dice! He said we only offer legit massages, if you don't want one for 398 RMB, then beat it. I pulled the "my laowai friend comes here a lot" card but that didn't work. So I told him fine, I was just going to go back down to the spa for a Jacuzzi dip. Except when I entered the elevator instead of going down I hit one floor up, hoping to find a girl who will give me a mercy f**k. Duh these people all have walkie-talkies and I wouldn't be surprised if I was followed by an invisible drone. One floor up refused me service as well! So I left with my, um, tail between my legs!

Before you all bombard EBD with PMs about this place, be forewarned that the crackdown is very very real, and not even dusty rural industrial Tianjin is immune. Perhaps May Day is an anomaly, but perhaps not. If you live in the area, have time and your own transportation, you can find out for yourself. If you're a tourist in town only for a few days, I don't think it's the best gamble of your resources.

Over the years I've visited a few and always had good experiences, but it's been awhile. I've only been once since the nationwide crackdown in early 2014, and I had to convince the massuese that I wasn't with the press in order to get service. After we got that out of the way, though, everything went smoothly.

Happy to share a few places via PM. I'd suggest you simply go and get a simple chinese-style massage to get a feel for a place. It's unlikely, given the current environment, that you'll be offered extras initially unless you go with a regular. Still, if you enjoy massage, it's cheap and relaxing. Once they're comfortable with you they're more likely to offer extras.

Note that these places allow you to take your phone into the room, so you can use a translation app to chat with the masseuse (and they can be a font of knowledge). Also, if your chinese is at least rudimentary, you can sometimes meet local guys hanging out in the sauna / bathing area. They can be a great source of usefull info about extras services.

Yeah, it's been closed now for over 2 weeks. It had been in stealth mode for a couple of weeks before that (door almost closed, but you could lift it and go in) but I assumed that was due to the big political meeting. This is not unprecedented, though. I can recall at least 2 prior periods of extended closure (over 1 week) for this place, so I'm not counting them out just yet. And, BTW, a few months ago they opened a second location with bigger rooms & more privacy, but it's also been closed.

Actually, all the pink light places with young girls visible from the street have been closed recently. This is apparently true in all of the central districts of Tianjin. I found another really good place with gorgeous girls in Hebei district early this year, but it's been shuttered for a couple of weeks as well. I assume there's some kind of new policy, though that's just speculation. There is one, just a few blocks from the one you visited, that's still open, but you have to step close to the building to actually see the girls through the door. Others, in which nothing is visible from the street, are still open.

So I have been here the last two days and I don't have any good news to report.
