One of the many places in Whan Chai where you just cannot fail! Just stand at the bar and they will come to you. Early evening costs are $300 - $500. The same girls are nearer $1000 later on in Fenwicks or Neptunes. I'm sure I have read this in an earlier report.

If you had no interest in looks then it is the easiest thing in the world. Its there one day off and they are looking for some fun. I am heading back to Hong Kong in July and I was curious on what you guys think is the best hotel based on location to the action and price.
Last time I stayed at the Marco Polo but to be honest I wasn't that impressed with the rooms. Kinda run down imo. It was good location for some of the 141 buildings in the area but didn't work out well for going to the bars in Wan Chai.
So this time I would like to stay in Wan Chai since it is easier for me to go to the 141 buildings in the day and then hit the bars at night.
I am going to be in HK this time for 2 weeks so I would like to go over to Macau also for a few days. I think I read here in the forums that it is possible to get a room over night at the Sauna's. And since that is the whole reason why I am going to Macau that would make the most sense.
So the most important things to be when choosing a hotel is:
1. Location
2. Price
3 Internet Web Connection
What do you guys recommend ?

I usually monger in the China board and I will be in HK this weekend. I hope to check out some of the high end girls at your local KTV if possible. Won't find the hottest girls there but you could try K-Pressure or 37 Dundas for the BBBJ and CIM. Haven't requested CIM specifically, but given their track record for service, would guess that they would agree to it.
As an FYI (they won't typically do BBBJ or CIM), you don't need to make appointments for the 141s.
In Macau, at Rio, they did BBBJ - though again, didn't request CIM so not sure if it's on the menu.
Finally, if price is not an issue, then you could always try KTV and negotiate with the girl before taking her out. If you make it clear that you will only take her out if she provides what you are asking for, should increase your chances. The KTV girls tend to be a little higher quality IMO. Will take a bit more time investment though (warming up for half hour to an hour in the KTV room).

Had a HK trip recently over a 3 night stay and as always had me a cracking good time.

After a memorable day in Macau, I figured it was time to see if all the praise being heaped on 37 Dundas was deserved or not.
First of all, getting to 37 Dundas was easy. Follow the directions in the other reports with just a couple of suggestions.
Look for the bright yellow “390” sign. The same sign also says “Mans Paradise.” The entrance is about 5 feet in the alley. Look for a stairway and follow it up to the first landing. A manager or two will enthusiastically greet you and take you by the arm into their place of business.
You will then be escorted into a small, private room with a vinyl bench and TV playing a porno movie. There is no question that this is a place of poontang.
The manager will ask you what you’d like to drink. It’s included in the price and I order a beer. I was brought some Chinese brand I’ve never heard of, but it was cold and good.
The manager then recited the prices: $390 for girl and $100 for hotel. No bullshit. No games. The price is what it is and I for one appreciate the straightforward approach.
You do pay in advance, but don’t worry. You won’t get ripped off.
After 4-5 minutes, the manager came back with 6 girls. I’d say all of them were very fuckable and two were very pretty with nice asses and nice tits. In fact, I had a hard time choosing between the two.
Once you make a choice, the girl will take you by the arm and walk you up two flights of stairs to the rooms. The rooms were so small that the double bed practically took up the entire room. There is a large shower with toilet too.

If you want to be in the middle of the action, try Ming Court on Lockhart. It is a boutique/love hotel with a price range of 500 to 700 HKD depending on the day and time of year. I'm not sure about your price range and standards but this hotel is just steps away from all the bars.
If you are arriving at the airport, I always recommend that members stop by the HK Hotel Association booth located just after immigration and customs. They usually have last minute specials and can beat most published room rates. But not all hotels belong to the association.

Whilst elaving HK airport, browsing through HK Standard, somewhere near the classified ads page. The police there publish all the actions they are taking... and on Tuesday am there were lots of cases against "Vice Establishments in Shanghai Street. PDI haven't been to a ton of KTVs here, but from what I've seen so far, wouldn't necessarily consider them real top model material (not bad of course, just not the best that I've seen in other places). For the total charge of 2500-3000 (1500HKD for the takeout, 1000-1500HKD for the room) - if you compare this with the high end KTVs in Shanghai, I would say that you can find higher quality in Shanghai.
If finding high quality is the only criteria, I would say 18 or Rio saunas in Macau are the place to go.

The Novotel is very far from anywhere, and no subway station (MTR) close to.
Cosmo/Cosmopolitan are also far and you will have to walk some way to MTR station.
There are better options in Wanchai or TST. Choose one, which is close to MTR station. Then you will be close to everywhere.
From reading the last few posts. I don't want to be that close to the action. LOL
I like to know where I am going to stay before I land at the airport. At least for a few days. Unless it is a busy season I alwasys book a new hotel only for a few days to know if I like it or not.

I stayed at both the Metropark and the Cosmopolitan last year. Much preferred the Metropark which was newer and more modern. Metropark was a block from the MTR and about 25 HK dollars by cab to Fenwicks. Paid less for the Metropark too. As I recall, paid 800/night and was upgraded to a water view room (about $100 US). Got my reservation through a Hong Kong travel agency...don't remember the name. Nothing of interest in the immediate neighborhood of the Metropark, but as I say, MTR right there. Incredible roof top pool and gym with unreal views.

happy huntingI can relate to your report, stuff like this is why I stopped going to K-P. I think K-P has seen it's best days several years ago. Now, it is a big waste of time by playing the hit and miss game there. I have been to 37 Dundas several times and each time had great service, no hit and miss.
Besides 37 Dundas, I have been trying to find other places in the Mongkok area with the same level of service and cost under 500HK. So far, no luck. On my next trip to HK, I will try Golden Cumming at 310 Portland. If anyone knows of good places similar to 37 Dundas, and they have tried several times and they like it, I would be interested in knowing the location.

i stayed at both the metropark and the cosmopolitan last year. much preferred the metropark which was newer and more modern. metropark was a block from the mtr and about 25 hk dollars by cab to fenwicks. paid less for the metropark too. as i recall, paid 800/night and was upgraded to a water view room (about $100 us). got my reservation through a hong kong travel agency...don't remember the name. nothing of interest in the immediate neighborhood of the metropark, but as i say, mtr right there. incredible roof top pool and gym with unreal views.the room at the metropark look nice judging from the pictured on their website.
do you know if they had a good high speed internet connection in the rooms ? a lot of hotels claim to have high speed but are really slow.
anyone have any recommendations on where to stay in macua? should i just stay at a spa rather than getting a room. since i plan to spend most of my time at the spa?

I can relate to your report, stuff like this is why I stopped going to K-P. I think K-P has seen it's best days several years ago. Now, it is a big waste of time by playing the hit and miss game there. I have been to 37 Dundas several times and each time had great service, no hit and miss.
Besides 37 Dundas, I have been trying to find other places in the Mongkok area with the same level of service and cost under 500HK. So far, no luck. On my next trip to HK, I will try Golden Cumming at 310 Portland. If anyone knows of good places similar to 37 Dundas, and they have tried several times and they like it, I would be interested in knowing the location.Last time I was in Honk Kong I went to K-P becuase of all the reports from this forum. To be honest I really don't know what all the fuss was about. That place was really low on my scale of fun compared to what can be got in HK from the 141 girls. hong kong doesnt get the attention it deserves on isg. in my experience, it's easily comparable to brazil as a mongering destination. there are high end and low end options available 24/7 and in fact probably more 24/7 than rio. the advantage hk has is that it's a mecca for much of se asia - so you'll get girls from thailand, indonesia, prc and the phillipines. in rio you'll just get brasilenas (which is just fine by me).
re costs: the 141 girls seem to be in the 300/400 hkd region (30/40 euros), but i've never used them. the wanchai girls, which are by far my preferred option, are 1000hkd for tln more or less (usually more). and, sticking to the rio comparison, fenwick, joe bananas and neptunes are very similar, although smaller, to rio's helpeee.

I'm in a similar situation to Web Conexxion. I'll be there in Oct and I'm looking for a hotel. I've stayed in TST and was assuming I'd do so again. I've booked at Langham Place in Mongkok to be close to MRT and 37 Dundas after RTFF.
But to be honest I'm a little irritated about the price. It was roughly $220USd when I first started looking, and by the time I'd reserved it was up to almost $300USd per night. Damn! I was considering The Pen, but decided on Langham to save money and because it looks so cool. But now I'm even irritated about Langham pricing. Should I save my money and stay somewhere else like Metropark?
Not just from a mongering POV, but all in all, would you suggest I stay Kowloonside, or cross the Harbor? I thought I had it all figured out, but now I'm not so sure.

If not from a mongering POV I would imagine it wouldn't make too much of a difference whether you stay in Kowloon or on the island because HK is so small. If you're into the expat-heavy bar/club scene in Lan Kwai or Wanchai maybe the island might be your best bet..but even still, those places are only around 15-20 minutes away by cab if you're departing from Langham Place. If you care to sample some of the great Chinese hotpot joints in ToKwaWan, Kowloon might be slightly more convenient but that again is not too great a distance from the island. One of the cool things I always thought HK offered was the relatively short amount of time it take to experience the variety of things to see/do/eat.
However, from a personal point of view I would suggest the Tsim Sha Tsui area in Kowloon because it seems to be more or less the middle ground. It's a pretty good starting point to go most places, mongering or otherwise.

I stayed on the island side both times for easy access to the WanChai district and Fenwicks etc. However, I took the Star Ferry to Kowloon and walked through the Pen...and up to Langham Place via Nathan road. BTW...I found the Pen intimidating and would never want to bring a girl there. I visited K-Pressure while it was hot. I think I'll do some more RTFF on Fenwicks and see if it's worth it to switch for that and Wan Chai, otherwise I'll probably just stick with Langham. I've done some more checking (Kowloon Hotel, Holiday Inn etc) and Langham just looks better and better. I think I've just got sticker shock from HK Hotels in general since I've been looking at BKK and Phuket for this trip too (not a good comparison). I'm in the same boat with Tokyo. Damn, it's expensive for what you get. Makes me wish I was just staying in LOS the whole time :)
Although I was well impressed with the value and location of Wharney. It's not quite in the Langham class, but it looks good value and convenient alright.

I generally stay at service apts on the island, some have daily or weekly rentals rates that are very attractive. The only downside is that they generally have thinner walls and may not allow smokers. PM me if you are interested and I can refer some to anyone in need.

I just returned home after spending 5 nights in Hong Kong. I diligently read the forum prior to going and it's amazing how complete and accurate the information is. I had no problems finding Filipinas in Wan Chai, freelancers and $100 girls near the Temple Street Night Market, and the Mongkok brothel area. I'll just take a few minutes to give my impressions about my mongering experiences in Hong Kong. When I write this, you have to remember that when it comes to mongering, each of us has our own preferences. For me, I like being able to choose from numerous women before deciding who to bed, and I like a variety of ethnic types to choose from. For someone like me, HK is not a first-rate mongering destination. The laws there prevent Thai-style fishbowl brothels and there are very few streetwalkers compared to the Geylang area of Singapore. 1. Wan Chai Disco: On a Friday night I made the rounds of discos in the area (trying to avoid those strong-gripped mamasans trying to pull me into their rip-off joints, haha). Neptunes and Fenwicks were obviously the right places to be, and there were literally hundreds of filipinas there for the taking. I noticed a few hot looking Columbians but other guys already had them cornered, damn you all, lol.
The filipina I selected that night was hanging out with some friends across the street from Fenwicks at the corner 7-11. Can't remember her name, and it doesn't matter since she said she was heading back to Cebu later that week. But it was a typical filipina sex experience. Up at the north end of the market is where they can be found, and on Saturday night at 9 pm I only saw one woman. She was chinese, not gorgeous at all but was cute with a nice smile. She was dressed in a conservative but tasteful peach dress with some cute sandal heels. She couldn't speak any English and I couldn't speak of her language, but she used her cell phone to indicate the price was $300. I followed her to her flat which was located a short distance away.
One disadvantage of not being able to communicate verbally is not finding out whether she would give a blow job. Unfortunately I didn't learn until we were hot and heavy that she wouldn't do that for me, even with a condom on. At any given time there are only between 4-8 women standing out there, which is very different from the hundreds of women you can find in the Geylang Area of Singapore.
I'm not sure if you all would find these women appealing or not, but most of the women looked really nice to me. Most were dressed stylishly and had on nice facial make up. They weren't stunners but I liked being able to pick and choose the one I wanted before making up my mind.

So I walked up the stairs and was met by a man who spoke passable English. He took me into a room and left me sitting for what seemed like an eternity, but was only about 5 minutes. He then brought a Thai woman in, but she just wasn't my cup of tea. He then brought two more Chinese women but none of them could measure up to the streetwalker I had the night before. So I thanked him for his time and just left. I really do miss the Thai fishbowl places in Bangkok!
Hong Kong is a great city!. It’s vibrant, clean, and there's so much to do and see there. But for me it's not a great mongering destination, so for my next vacation I'll head elsewhere.

Good report. I agree with your comments regarding Thai fishbowl places in Bangkok! I too miss them. Since my organization will no longer allow it, I cannot stopover in Bangkok anymore (due to the political problems there), HK is now my stopover.

Here's some more info about the $100 girls on Temple Street. The process is quite easy; As you walk by the old mamasans, they will ask you whether you want girls. If you indicate yes, then they unlock the front door of their building and lead you upstairs into an apartment which has a couple of bedrooms. In my opinion, 1,300HK (approx. $166 U.S.) in Macau for sex at a fishbowl compared to Bangkok's 2,200 baht (approx $60) for sex, BK is the far better deal. In fact, on my last trip there 3 weeks ago, the mama was very very nice to me. I thought she wanted to do me but on second thought, I guess she was being super nice to me. I have been to KP 5 times over a couple of years. The service is consistently good as has been often been reported in the forum. I have had 4 PRC and one HK girl. If you want cheap and are based in HK, you have to try AC at least once. Less than a two hour flight from HK! You can fly direct to Clark (AC) via www.hkairlines.com several times a week. An even cheaper alternative is to fly www.tigerairways.com from Macau daily. Once you get there, it is a no brainer to do the three F's.

Sounds like a few places I've been to with friends on the mainland. They generally recommend against trying to pick anyone up (for the reasons you mentioned above). The few times I tried, didn't get very far - though it could've been due to my lack of skill. :)

Strange......Just come back from hunting this place out. It's at 253 Temple Street, just past the entrance for Temple Street Sauna, acroos from Jordan road. You walk down a long lit corridor and theres an elevator at the end. You need to go to the 8th floor (well this is what I was told). When I got there all I found was a "guest house". One yellow sign that comes to mind that I tried with good results was Golden Cumming at 310 Portland. My Hong Kong friend was a regular there. Note that most of the YS in the same general area will use the same group of girls. Hey all, my first post after a bit of lurking;
I've come to Hong Kong countless times before with the family, but I've yet to try the mongering scene. In fact I didn't think it went much further than the massage parlours but I've been pleasantly enlightened by you guys here at ISG.

Did a walk down in the Portland and Dundas area, saw the signs, so the entrances and chickened out again :D Those places just looks so damn seedy and unsafe - also as I don't speak a word Chinese I feel lost before I enter. Will try to get a friend to go with me some time.
So ended up in the old Neptune again. Quite some action there, and the female vocalist in the band keeps getting better and better looking! (They have changed the girl a couple of times I think).

I understand and agree with you concerns regarding the Mongkok area. The organization I work for requires new employees to attend a one week security training class. Now, having said all of that, I can add that I have had sex with many girls at the yellow/pink sign places and I have never had a problem. However, I am very selective of the place I will go to. Of all the places I have been to, 37 Dundas, KTV on the 1st level, is the most comfortable and I feel very safe there. Also, the Dundas street is busy with lots of people during the day. In addition, I always go before 7:00 p.m. Going in the day at this place may give you an extra level of feeling safe.
Note that some yellow/pink sign places will want you to pay for the drink if you do not make a selection--some, but not all places. Some guys will argue and fight over this, as for me, I will not. A few dollars is no big deal to me. If you fight with these people, you are in for a lot of trouble. But again, I have never had a problem at any of these places.

I stood in the beginning of June in Langham Place hotel in Mongkok. It's a nice 5 star hotel, compared with other luxury hotels with a very good value for the money.
I tried this this time some hunting in the hotel bar (called Portal). But at the first nights it was boring thus I went to other places like 37 Dundas.
But at the last night I went again to Portal, only for a drink before going to bed. There was a nice small band, I enjoyed the musik and a glass wine when I saw a girl (rated 7-8) drinking red wine and smoking a cigar. I tried to establish contact by eyes, but she resisted to look to me. I asked the barman to offer her a glas Austrian white wine, she smiled to me and I joined her at the bar. I think there were a few previous reports about security at National Court tightening up. Went to verify today, and yeah, they ask for your ID. Spoke English but they persisted. Told them I didn't have an ID card. No, I didn't bring my passport either. Asked where I was headed and told them 15th floor. Elevator arrived and they just let me be. Maybe next time I'll just bring my US drivers license.
Unfortunately, business seems to have taken a downturn and I would guess only about 20% of the rooms were in use. Maybe it was because it was Sunday (late afternoon)? I'm not out mongering often on Sundays since I notice that alot of the girls take Sunday off. Have to imagine the security is part of the problem though.
If you want to avoid the security, you can always take the stairs directly across from the elevator lobby. Of course, you would then need to climb 15 flights of stairs, or at least 9 or so at a minimum as the lower floors are non-141s (noticed a couple on the 2nd floor though). Optionally I suppose you could climb the stairs to the first floor, hop in the elevator, but you'll head back down to the lobby before being able to go up.

I don't really care what, massage, shopping anything other than sit in the airport for 7 hours before I get on the plane to fly for 11 hours home. Actually would love to find a cool place to pick up cheap electronics or good quality knock off clothes??

Many of the Hong Kong sex sites appear to be down - ******, Best161 & Darling888. I have seen a report elsewhere that there is a major police clampdown on the on line sites & also some of the actual 141 locations. I am landing Thursday & would be interested to know what to expect?

You would think the ladies should be allowed to advertise their services. Here is an article from the South China Morning Post - which also had an article two weeks ago saying that their are about 200,000 women working as prostitutes in Hong Kong either part time or full time.

Police have closed triad-linked websites blatantly selling sex in apartments in residential areas.
But long-suffering residents, business owners and district councillors urged police to remain vigilant of internet operators selling sexual services.
One building raided by police had 19 women operating in tiny partitioned rooms.
Before it was closed early on Friday morning, visitors to the website could see pictures, telephone numbers and in some cases security access codes for the cramped rooms.
The website was not operating yesterday. A notice said "it was being upgraded".
Wan Chai district councillor Wong Wang-tai said the clampdown on the brothels and the internet providers was long overdue.
Mr Wong said the use of the internet to solicit for sex had grown quickly on Hong Kong Island.
"These arrests will increase awareness in the community about this problem," he said. "But we need to do more. Police should stop all these websites, and trace and prosecute the owners."
One website ran a service in English and Chinese with lists of women working in residential areas such as North Point and Tin Hau, as well as traditional red-light districts such as Mong Kok and Wan Chai.
One building on Electric Road, Tin Hau, had 19 women working in it. The services, prices and language of the women were advertised on the website.
Most of the prostitutes were from the mainland or Hong Kong.
The South China Morning Post visited some of the buildings last week before the raids, and residents and businesses in the area said they were sick of their buildings being used to sell sex.
But all were too scared to speak out for fear of retribution from the triads who controlled the area.
One woman who lived beside a number of partitioned rooms said she had complained to police last year, but was threatened by gang members. "My life here has been hell," she said.
A police spokesman confirmed the website had been used to track and arrest those responsible.
Police believe they have cracked four separate syndicates in the operation, codenamed Giantswinger.
Fourteen computers and nine internet servers were seized in the raids for further investigation.
Covert operations were conducted between March and this month.
On Friday, 13 men and three women, aged between 22 and 61, were arrested. Among them, one was the person in charge and 11 were staff of five websites.

The possibilities downtown are so much better.
You could be pretty much anywhere in HK within an hour. With 7 hours, absolutely no need to stay near the airport.
Airport express (rail) will have you downtown (Kowloon, Central) in 30 minutes for HK$100 (US$14).
Inside an hour airport bus A21 (HK$33,US$5) will take you by Mongok (Dundas Street, yellow sign brothels, SW and markets), Jordan (K Pressure and markets) and TST (electronics shopping if you must, Star Ferry). Hundreds of 141 outlets on this route.
You've plenty time to hit a Wan Chai bar, and enjoy some company in a ST hotel for a few hours.
Normally I'd head to the airport 2 hours before a flight, and have never had a problem. Airport Express downtown check in (at Central or Kowloon) is 1.5 hours before departure, if you're holding a boarding pass you can cut things even finer. The airport is fast and efficient. Longest line is often incoming immigration. Outgoing, security is fast.
If you find yourself pushed for time taxi, to or from the airport will be HK$200-250 (US$30-35), drivers always use meter, no tip required.
Many others know Hong Kong better than me, but PM for personal recommendations if you wish.

I think that this is the reason for all of the "crack downs" lately, ie. ****** and other websites getting shut down, the extra security at National Court. Will have to check out one of my regular saunas to see if it has extended that far.
Sort of doubt that Wan Chai will have any problems, since it's mostly for foreigners and very few of the workers there are ethnic Chinese.
On a separate topic, I was searching for new sauna experiences and seems like there has been alot of talk about Ocean Sauna (or Ocean King). Finally figured out that it has morphed into Blue Sky. I've been there a couple times but couldn't remember which floor it was on. When I RTFF and saw that Ocean King was on 5th floor, and passed by a couple days ago on my way to Hop Yee checked to see which floor Blue Sky was on. BTW, the elevator at Hop Yee is out of commission, perhaps somehow related to the "10yr anniversary crackdown"?
Anyway, seems like alot of previous posters spoke very highly of the place. Been to Blue Sky a few times and can't really complain, except fo the lack of a jacuzzi. Did Ocean King have a Jacuzzi before? Price was 1400 for FS if I remember right.
Anyone been to the Sauna in the Miramar Hotel?

In the old days, going back 12 plus years in HK, before advertisement of 141s on the internet, the girls advertised in Chinese language only newspapers. The ads were basic with only a hint of sex. For the most part, non-Chinese speaking people did not visit the 141s. Most foreigners went to the clip joints on HK island and stayed clear of Mongkok and Sham Shui Po (lots of cheap sex here). Also, in the old days, most 141 girls would not do non-Asian guys.
Since the 141s started advertising on the internet, I have noticed that there are more girls selling sex in HK then 10 plus years ago--lots more. I guess this was going to happen sooner or later, that is, the general public in HK do not want to be seen as a sex stop for foreigners. Sure, it is ok for HK to be a sex stop for the local guys, but the HK government and local folks get an attitude when they see so many foreigners having fun. In fact, one of my Chinese males friends stated that the foreigners have driven up the prices. I tend to agree with him. For example, in Sham Shui Po, where I never see foreigners at the 141s, prices are still very low (200 to 300). Now in Tsim Sha Tsui where lots of tourist go, prices are 500 to 800--and tourist pay it.
My bet is after several weeks or months, things will get back to normal. When I go to 141s, I use the ones in small buildings not on the tourist path.
Also note that, when you are in HK, you can get 141 info from the mags at many of the newspaper stands. "One Night Stand" is the one I like.

One Night Stand is not in English. However, this is not a big problem. The girls ads in the mag provide the address, phone #, hours of operation, and price. Clip a few of the address (which are in Chinese) and give it to a nice taxi driver. I advise clipping the address without the pics (the taxi driver may be offended).
Try to clip the pics that have the same address. For example, an address that has the number 607 (this is the Sun Hing Building on 607 Nathan rd). Or, 19-21, this is the Foremost Bldg 19-21 Jordan road. Or 66, this is 66 Parkes st in Jordan. Also, the floors numbers are in English.
Or, another option is to go to 161sex (or sex161, I don't recall at the moment) and write down all or most of the address/building names/floors now while the website is still up and operation. Write down the areas/address you have most interest in (e.g., Mongkok, Jordan, TST, Causeway Bay, etc.).
It is funny to note that the cops are not trying to stop the mags and newspapers that have 141 info which is in Chinese, they are only trying to stop the 141s on the internet that provide info in English. Clearly, this is directed towards the folks on a sex vacation.

In my 6/19/07 post, I stated, "my bet is after several weeks or months, things will get back to normal." Yap, ****** is already back online. In preparation for my weekend stint in HK, I spent several weeks scanning this forum, 141 sites and other places on the web. Yesterday, I arrived in HK after 22 hours of flying and layovers. That's a good question, to be honest, I have not been to a lot of saunas (I like 141s, Chinese girlfriends, and a few regular yellow/pink signs I go to). The saunas I have been to (Temple St. Sauna, Long to Court, New Do Wui Sauna, Kin Yee Massage at 18/F 43H Dundas st Mongkok), Sun Hot Suna (good place-but I don't recall the address), I have never had a problem or been turned down because I am a foreign guy in the past 10 plus years.
The only foreign guys I know of that have been refused service (or received really bad service on purpose) at a few saunas were Korean guys. Only because they have a bad rep for not being nice to working girls. I do not mean this as a put down to any Korean guys reading this. M1NT Bar exists but it's not at the Mandarin Oriental Landmark - your travel mag must have been confused. It's at 108 Hollywood Road, it does indeed have a tank full of baby sharks, but it's a private members club so you might find that getting in could be complicated. Having said that, I've been drinking at Kee Club (also private) for months and have only been refused entry if there's a whole-club function going on, or if it's a weekend and they're packed.

Went back to this place for the first time in about 6 months or so. The previous time I went, price was 1400HKD for FS and the girl was a decent 6-7 with a very nice attitude. Haven't gone back for so long given the above pricing (can get the same thing in North Point for 300-400HKD less).

Just spent the past 6 nights in HK with friends from the UK, was a blast.

I got mine done last November (2006). Took five days (including a weekend) to get it back.
1/ Make an appointment online here: http://hongkong.usconsulate.gov/acs_appointment.html
2/ Make sure you have the correct passport pictures!! You can specifiy the size at any instant passport photo shop. Tell them that you need pictures for a US passport and take the dimensions along with you.
3/ Fill out the form online and have a computer generated form, or print it out. I did mine online.
4/ Go to the consulate at the time of your appointment with your current passport, pay the cashier and wait 15 minutes or so for them to call your name and take your application. A local clerk takes the application, checks to make sure that all the boxes are filled in, and asks you to wait. I left my emergency contact information blank (I always do) and the clerk asked me to fill it in (it is not required). I just told her that there was no one to contact which left her a bit flustered. I was very tempted to put Mr. Po Tus, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington, DC 20500, phone 202 456 1414, but thought that the irony would be lost on her.
5/ The fee is US$97. Payable by cash or credit card. See http://hongkong.usconsulate.gov/acs_passports3.html
6/ Wait another 10 minutes and a FSO comes out to tell you ok, no problem, go downstairs and pay your HK$25 for postage to the HK Post outlet. The FSO will cancel your current passport, so you are stuck in HK for four to seven days.
7/ Go home and wait.

My passport showed up exactly five calendar days later.
Yes, the passport is processed in the US, but it is nice to apply for one overseas--you get it back much faster.

Not true.
For instance, if your passport was stolen or lost, they must get you a replacement.
Now, having said that, the embassy can be complete assholes about the whole thing. My wife had problem - she is Chinese and got treated like shit at AIT Taiwan. I called my classmate, #2 guy in HK who then called the #2 guy in Taiwan to get it solved. I then on next business trip, went to AIT to meet their #2 guy and make sure it never happens again for any non-caucasian US citizen! He basically ripped into his local staff as well as filipino bitches (you know the type, the ones that speak/write good english and think they're god's gift to the world).
It's always good to both register your passport on-line plus carry a photocopy with you when traveling.

I assume you are US and know how to read. How is what I said not true? I did say, only in emergency and they will only issue you a TEMPORARY passport. I already know 2 people who had this happen to in the past 6 months.
The permanent US passports are ONLY issued in the US. They used to be issued in foreign lands. Now the HK consulate (its not an embassy) has to send the application to the US to be processed.

I was trying to make the point that US passports are no longer ISSUED in HK (or overseas) anymore.
Of course, you can go to the HK office and they will arrange for you. In the past they were able to do it directly in the office but no longer. So it takes more time in shipping back and forth these days.

Depends on what you want.
My personal experiences are...
Hong Kong: I love the variety here in that you can find Philipinas, Indonesian, Malaysian, Thai and Chinese. There are also many mongering opportunities.
Shanghai: There are tons of opportunities in Shanghai and some unique experiences - the bar, red rope. Also, as Fast Eddie mentioned, the quality of girls is quite high, and they are mostly Chinese. You can get away with minimal Mandarin in Shanghai, but the more you speak, the better your experience will be. Also, read the Shanghai forum very carefully. Many moons ago I was initated into the scams that are often run in Shanghai, and knowledge of the scene (acquired from the forum) there is essential, IMO.
Other options you may want to try are CP in Dongguan (Cheap, fresh, China girls with a bit of Mandarin knowledge needed), Macau (the most pricey, best girls and you really do not need Mandarin knowledge), or Beijing (If you like Russians and Mongolians this is the place to be and I am a Eurasian/Mongolian addict Mandarin helpful but not necessary). I am leaving out alot of great mongering locations, but those are the highlights from my point of view.

From a price perspective, Neptune was a bit higher where girls were asking between 2000 to 2500 for all night, vs 1500 to 2000 at the other spots. Basically, it is the same mix of Filipinas and Thai girls at most of the places - with Filipinas in the majority.
Picked up a Thai / Indian mix from Neptune for 1500 all night - she just left after quite a satisfying night.
All in all, a good first time experience.

You could try JJ's at the Grand Hyatt. Was there last week and there were a couple of working girls. You could also try Lan Kwai Fong in Central, Hari's in Holiday Inn, Sticky Fingers in TST East, and All Night Long in Knutsford Terrace.

If you really want the ultimate upscale experience, take the ferry to Macau ang go to 18 Sauna in the Golden Dragon Hotel. The best thing is buy a package deal from one of the travel agents in the ferry building in Hong Kong. Ask for the 18 Sauna package deal - it should be about 1500 HK. To sit down for the minimum drink charge is HK$520 when there is a show. Which I guess is to be always. Even if it just a guy singing on the stage. When they brought our drinks they also brought peanuts and fruit. I found out later if you eat them. They charge you. Just so you know.
The Mamason will bring out the girls and they where all pretty good looking. Tall and good looking. They are not working as maids that is for sure. They all seemed to have basic English skills.

I agree with your comments (except fo the bs part). I have, over the years, been in that area on the weekend and noted the number of PI workers there. The vast majority of them are not interested in meeting guys in that setting. It seems like most of them are there to hangout with their friends from PI, eat, talk, etc. However, there is always exceptions to the rule. I would not doubt that, once in a blue moon, a PI girl would meet a guy in that setting.
Also, I would bet that many of the girls there may be members of the www.cherryblossoms.com which has a lot of HK PI maids on the website. In addition, in a different setting (e.g., club), these same girls are more than willing to meet for a price. But why pay big bucks for something you can get in PI for dirt cheap. Most I-bars have a 50% off specials on sundays just to accommadate these temporary migrant workers. They can't spend much and they can't stay long.
With that said, they are young girls and they get lonely here. Some of the itchy/scratchy ones will have little problem finding partners in a liberal HK. Some shy ones will just have to keep their eyes open for their prince to save them.
But most monger here just wanna pluck out a decent looking one, treat them like a piece of meat, throw some bills behind them and score another one for King Midas.

For your consumption in the territory, there are Davidoff stores in both the Peninsula Hotel (TST) and The Landmark Shopping Centre (Central). Wide variety and the cigars are kept in a temperature and humidity controlled room.
HK tobacco taxes are high (yes, I indulge in cancer sticks), and your best value for money is at the duty free shop at the airport. They have a reasonable selection of Cohibas, Romeo and Juliette and a few other brands. I usually get a box of R&C's on the way out. They have both hand and machine rolled.

These rates seem pretty expensive and I used to go there once a week albeit a few years ago. And I think you were being gouged. Did you go with someone that had been there before? Hearing that you were charged for the show, I'm assuming you went there for the first time without a regular. How much was the barfine from the club and what did they ask you to pay the gal directly for ST on top of the barfine?
If you have the time and really want to go upmarket clubbing, go to Macau. Buying just about any package at the Shun Tak Centre is going to be better value and you will almost be guaranteed a good time. For Hk$5,000 you could have 3 shots with gals in the 8+ range.
Just about every club rips off newbies, that's why local club monger always go first time with a regular. This doesn't happen that often in Macau as most guys buy a package and the charges are all set unless you upgrade the gals to "model" standard.

Just about every club rips off newbies, that's why local club monger always go first time with a regular. BJKThe Pinnays used to get multiple entry visas to China. So they could stay longer and just go to China for a week or two. Now they only get single entry visas to China which makes frewuent travel way more difficult. Furthermore the business is down in Wan Chai and many moved on to Shanghai where the return shall be better as I heard.

I think some of the people here are being a little hard on the domestic helpers. First off there are somewhere between 200,000 and 250,000 helpers living in Hong Kong. Very few of them are pretty but even if 1-5% are that it is 2,000-12,500 who are decent.
There are very few Thai domestic helpers left in Hong Kong. In the past few years the number of domestic helpers from Indonesia has overtaken the number of domestic helpers here from the Philippines. In addition over 80% of new domestic helpers come from Indonesia meaning that most of those from the Philippines have been here for a while thus they are older and may not be so good looking anymore. You don't see too many 20-23 year old philippinos any more in Hong Kong. (And I think most of the better looking and educated ones either make more money as a caregiver/nurse in the West, make US$1,000 working in a factory in Korea or can do just as well at home as they can being a slave here). Indonesians are happy to be here as it beats making HK$800 in Malaysia, HK$1,500 in Singapore. The HK$3,400 they make here is far better than they could do pretty much anywhere else plus given the reasonable closeness of the languages most can speak Cantonese.
One change that I have noticed in the past year or so is alot more helpers when they are in Laguana/Makahti on Sundays are looking for cash, even if they want a bf/gf type relationship they want their income supplimented. Of course there are still many that just want to have fun. I picked one up last Sunday - thought it was a little easier than normal but figured she must be horny. We went and had a great session and then at the end she came right out and said she wanted money for what we had done. I was a little surprised as I have never had someone ask for payment without making it clear before hand that she wanted cash. Agreed. Sunday afternoon in Wan Chai is domestic helper day. If you manage to hook up with one, they will always leave their phone # with you and are never available - except Sunday. If they happen to get ahold of your number, they will begin incessantly texting you on about Friday asking your schedule for Sunday.

I just returned from a weekend in HK, about my fifth trip inside of 18 months.
As is customary for me, I spent the time exclusively in Wanchai, beginning on Friday night at 10PM. I started at Neptune II watching a bunch of girls dancing by themselves. I think some of the people here are being a little hard on the domestic helpers. First off there are somewhere between 200,000 and 250,000 helpers living in Hong Kong. Very few of them are pretty but even if 1-5% are that it is 2,000-12,500 who are decent.Yeah but why settle for less, when you can have a much better looking girl who is a pro.
