Ok I just returned from Jaideep Dance Bar at Thane about 2 mins from Vasant vihar( not sureo f the colony i know nothing abt thane). Well beer costs 180Rs. Just finishing an almost year long stay in Mumbai and about to leave, let me share the experiences made here with you.

Mumbai has a fantastic nightlife. You will find the most awesome bars, clubs & discs here. Go for instance to the Enigma at JW Marriott in Juhu and you will find some of the most beautiful girls you have ever seen there. Where is the catch? Simply put, none of the indian girls will go with you for the night. It just does not happen in india and has to be accepted as part of local culture. As always, there might be exceptions to this rule, but I have not seen it happen and have not met anyone who has. Nevertheless only the sight of these amazing beauties almost makes up for this ;-)

Mongering also works a little different here in Mumbai. As in every city around the world, there are red light districts and most of the cabbies will be able to get you there, if u ask for it. At Bandra you need to pay at least 4.5 k for real good stuff. Go at about 9.30 PM, state what you want and offer to wait so that you have a wider choice.

I too have never paid this form of an 'entry / exit charge' in the past. It was a first time for me too.
I actually tried not to pay it on 2 occasions, but the girls would not go / were not allowed to go without the payment, so the 'deal' fell through.
I left and went to another bar.
Same thing happened in another bar, so I decided to negotaite for the entire package with the guys there, it worked out slightly cheaper, but the room was very very bad.

Long and short of it, no one in these places knows the meaning of the word quality or service. The girls do not look bad [yes they cannot talk] but the rest of the set up is a full scale downer. These guys need to get some tutions from their foreign counter parts.

Am writing a review about my Favourite pickup in Mumbai, Voodoo club. Location: Near colaba causeway, at the end of the road from 'Gateway of India'

I was in Mumbai last week and to satisfy the 'urge' went to Voodoo at about 10. 30. Entry: Rs. 250

Voodoo is a disco cum pickup, with low lighting and a dance floor.

First thing I noticed is these days the quality of girls has gone down noticibly.

There are a lot of plump Ex dancebar girls there now apart from the regular ones, which was a major turn off.

After sitting and ordering a beer, chatted up the waiter and asked about the girls and some of the old timers, with whome I used to go out. The waiter was not very helpfull. So, decided to get into the thick of things.

There were about 10.12 girls (5-9 /10), some quite young looking. Smiled at a good looking girl (8/10)and she came over to sit with me and "talk".

After chatting and asking her name for 5 mins, asked her casually what the girls charge these days? And was quoted 5K for St. I laughed at that and asked her how much she would charge and she said 4, 500. Told her its too much and changed the topic.

After chatting with her for 15-20 mins and her having a red bull at my expense settled for 1, 500 ST.

Went to a hotel close by, RS 500 for a/see room (always carry your own condoms or it will cost you 50 bucks for cheap condoms)

Would reccomend this place to all mongers as this is a very safe place with a lot of variety.

Points to remember:

I have used the chamadi service in New Delhi and they were good but on the expensive side, 4K-10K, short time. Their webiste is the same as their name with .com! They will recommend a girl friendly hotel. The only problem with chamadi and ALL escort services, is VERY LIMITED SELECTION! They will supply a girl or two from which to choose! Also, as happened to me, you might have a better experience with the 4K gal then the 10K gal! Your best bet is to try the VOODOO club, in Colaba, next to radio club! i stepped out of the airport at around 7. 30 pm. as i was very tired and not thinking straight, instead of going as usual to the taxi or rickshaw row, i stepped into a rickshaw that was passing, apparently after dropping some one off (or so i thought! ).

i was headed for a hotel in khar and the guy soon was in the thick of a traffic jam somewhere around ville parle east. i suggested that he get off the highway and go through the flyover at bandra and get on to linking road. by the time we got out of the mess and got onto the highway it was around 8, 30. on the way he said it was "duty change" time and another sturdy guy sat on the drivers seat while the first guy, a puny, slimy looking fellow, sat in the passenger seat next to me and requested that we drop him off down the road.

five minute later he said we are nearing the place where he had to get off so could i give him the fare please? he demanded 300 bucks. for a ride that i should have paid 50 to 75 rupees.

tired and hungry, i cursed myself for not negotiating up front and said ok. (300 bucks is a small price to pay for avoiding trouble". he suggested i give him a 500 rupee note and he would give me 200 change, which he thrust into my hand. i handed over the money and, after some sleight of hand, he said "arre bhai this is a sau ka note" (this is a one hundred rupee note). like a dumbo i took the 100 rupee note he handed me and gave him another 500. he came back with another 100 rupee note and the comment, "how many times will you make the same mistake? "

just then i had to take an important call on my mobile and 5 minutes later i realised that we were not moving towards the place i was supposed to go to.

now i was nearing panic stations. fortunately he asked again for the 500 rupee note. i asked him to stop near a street light so i could see better and take out the "right" note from my wallet. he stopped, i jumped out with my bag (fortuntely i had only hand baggage) and unleashed a choice sample from the vocabulary i had picked up during my stay in mumbai. as a few curious onlookers moved in for a closer look, the fellow took off.

i then found that i was in bandra west and that we had been moving in a direction away from my hotel.

i found a decent rickshaw guy who took me to the hotel for rs 25. i had lost rs 800 to those two rogues.

this kind of thing happens very very rarely in bombay but my advice to people landing at santa cruz would be, if you think the cars you can book in the arrival hall are too expensive, go to the taxi or rickshaw queue. don't go near the fellows who are just driving past.

I normally stay in South Mumbai (Bombay) and generally frequent Voodoo Pub/Bar/Disco, but this time i was staying up North. So i decided to do some research of the northern zone. As it turned out i was working such long hours, all i was interested in was sleep, but i did venture out a few times in search of food and gained some information of value.

First a quick look at South Mumbai (Bombay) . I generally feel any night club which only lets in couples is not going to be much interest to me, thus i normally avoid Disco's such as Red Light. Voodoo is of course an excellent quality establishment, which seems to have deteriorated over the years and allowed some folks of non-standard inclination in, but is still a reliable source of entertainment which is why i like it. In addition to this location i listed a number of other places of interest. I have not personally gone to Greenstar, Everest and Mausam, but they have been recommended to me.

Colaba (South Mumbai (Bombay) )
- Greenstar hotel,
- mausam guest house,
- hotel Everest
- Polly Esther's, Garden House Hotel, 5 Battery Street, (91-22) 2287-1122. Open Tuesday to Sunday, cover $7 to $14, with drink tickets, individual drinks $3 to $5.
- Voodoo Pub, 2/5 Kamal Mansion, Arthur Bunder Road, (91-22) 284-1959. Open daily. Drinks $3 to $5.

Now for North Mumbai (Bombay) . The first thing i noticed was its almost impossible to accidentally find a pub or disco, you need to know where it is and tell the taxi driver where to go. This did make it harder to find new and exciting places. One thing i did notice was there were always a good supply of touts in front of the good hotels in Juhu which offered you a trip to a good night club. I come from Beijing so never follow touts, as in Beijing they are always a rip off. I got the impression this was not the case in Mumbai (Bombay) , but did not take the risk anyway. If anyone can tell me if the touts are ok or a rip off i would appreciate it. Apart from this the only place i found was Enigma, which was a “Couples only place”, thus of minimal interest. The local guys were able to take me to typical dance places, but as that was not really my thing i did not follow up these places.

Juhu (North Mumbai (Bombay) )
- Enigma, J W Marriott Hotel, Juhu Tara Road, (91-22) 5693-3287. Open, for couples only, Wednesday to Saturday. Cover $19 to $35 a couple, drinks $3 to $8.

After completing the one hour massage, I was heading home when I thought that today is my last bachelor day and therefore I should use it. I had never been to Panvel in its glory days so I diverted my route to Panvel by a train from Kurla. Well, as for the service, it was ok, as you all probably know, no kisses, no bj, no daty, only hand shaking, pressing/kissing/playing with the boobs and the main business. As this was my second shot of the day, it took me sometime and then it was shoot out.

I was told by Kavita that there is no business nowadays but it is likely to start. It seams Vashi has got some bars already open, needs to be checked by other interested members. Prices are also down by almost 25% as there are no clients.

Overall, it was ok experience. May be I always compare my encounters with Chinese and Russions in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and therefore this (Indian WGs)would always be at the bottom of my experience. But then they say that something is better than nothing!

Directions are come straight form opera house, you reach a junction whereu see a HDFC bank ATM on your right, the left turn after you cross the junction. There is a small board on whcih prarthana samaj marg is written.

You are correct the place was closed for around a year, now they have reopened. The place I went to was on the first left as you enter the lane.

Alrite guys now this place called Voodoo, Definately magic for a monger, provided he is not averse to North east babes. I had a good time out there few weeks back. I went in around 10 o clock, it was kinda early and looked kinda deserted. Recently I visited Mumbai (Mid June). I was looking for a great fun. After lot of search I found following.

1. Near Jogeswari railway station (Cigarate factory side), there are two night clubs / drink bars. I visited "Commando" which is very near to end of highway fly over outside jogeswari rly station. Wgs can be picked from MP's in Mumbai. Majority of them are willing for an outing after the duty hours. Usually to nearby known hotels or to your room. As experienced most of the parlours are dirty and WGs are average or below average. Recently I had been to one in Mira Road in Shanti Shopping centre, not recommended. There are two MPs in Jawahar Nagar Goregaon (W) they are relatively clean and offer complete services. The WGs herse are average at best.

This is India. Mumbai. We have not evolved to that state as yet. B. A. Or Foto in Sao Paulo. So no scope.

Hotel Concierge at 5 star will not. For sure. However cheaper hotels 3 star etc. Will do it for you. The Duty manager will organise what ever you want.

The top 5 star hotels are very very particular. Except JW Marriott. You can forget it if you are staying at any of the Taj's.

The Hilton too is too strict.

Unless you are paying 20K + for very very good quality & get the lady in with you, it is a very very difficult task. But you sure can try.

Hotels in Juhu etc are more open to all this. Holiday Inn. Sun & Sand etc.

Visited the Payal bar on new link road last weekend. It has the normal bar frontage but action happens in a separate A/c section. I have recentely visited Mumbai and have been advised by one of my friend for one place after Dahisar on Mumbai Surat Highway. There is a toll gate on this highway at Dahisar and after you cross this toll gate you need to drive aprox 5 to 6 Kilometer and you will find couple of hotels on both sides of the roads where you will find orchestra facilities are available and these are the places where Girls are available. On my last visit a couple of years back, I had frequented this place (Space Garden) in Juhu which was a DB/pickup joint. I finally got a chance to visit Space Garden which I spoke about in my previous post and Lo & Behold it was exactly as you described!
