Wanted to pen these reports but was running short of time.

To my experience most of the 4 or 5 star hotels requires photo ID and chances of letting in a local are very slim. When I booked and went to hotel Sav they wouldn't let me in with my ID and fortunately my partner had ID belonging to other state and changed the booking in her name. This happened in other 2 hotels. But one hotel where I could get in was Hotel Presi which is renamed now. I tried couple of years back and was fine not sure about it now. But Chennai hotels are very cautious for letting locals in.

This may not add any value to any of you but just wanted to share my experience.
So as I've been saying I am not planning to go to any SP for safety reasons. But just for the sake of learning the market scenario I made a few calls and tried to understand how things work.

Actually there was a post in which I wrote the MPs name which never got approved. Repeated the same post with hints and got approved. So I am guessing that's the only way to go. And makes sense too since going by earlier reports looks like we can create problems for these MPs being calling them out openly. However I agree with you that some of these guys who are trying to cheat us actually deserve to close down. But then again its all relative I guess. What you and me consider as cheating / not VFM may be a good deal for another guy.

Is 4 k becoming our regular price? This is a matter of serious concern here. It might be ok for a first trial with the sp / indie.
But shd not be a regular practice for our own goodness.
Dear mongers Chennai isgians contributing significantly to chennai situation. If you all put a little effort we can drop avg cost atleast to 3 k. Pl note cost is decided by demand in most of the cases.

I'm a long time follower, shorter time member and a first time poster on this forum. As a newbie to mongering in Chennai (all my escapades have been in Europe and in the UK) I was hoping to pose a few questions to fellow members in the hopes that any of you could enlighten me. So here goes.
1) How does one vet SPs and MPs. For a newbie like me what is the safest and most discrete way to seek out an SP without compromising any identity details (name, phone number) etc. I take it there are a few trusted SPs recommended by seniors but asking them directly is not exactly recommended here.
2) How difficult is it to get laid in Chennai disceretly? With crackdowns and raids happening often and the chance of friends and family in the same city finding out, how high is the risk, how can it best be managed?

Visiting Chennai after 2 years, wow. Lot of changes and so many MP's. I have been reading this forum for a while and then decided to become a paid member.
