G'day Guys,
Am heading to Bali in 2 weeks & hope to visit Kuta Bugar and/or Angel Spa after reading all 150 odd pages of this forum.
I'm after some info on the girls there from someone who has been recently.

Gentlemen, I would like to tap in to the wealth of information and advice that members of this site are able to offer.
I have accumulated sufficient Kris flyer miles with Singapore Airlines for a few trips during a break from my work in Vietnam and have been thinking of a few weeks in Bali or Lombok and a trip to Cebu and would welcome any advice.
During the day I just like relaxing, reading, and a little swimming, I’m not a great party animal so in the evening I’m not really interested in large clubs or discos. What I do like is a nice meal followed by a decent bar, friendly girls, game of pool, bit of fun and then a nice little takeaway to keep me occupied for the night. I will also be looking for a good GF friendly hotel/guesthouse, not into great luxury but somewhere comfortable preferably with a garden wifi would be an advantage but not essential.
Should I be looking at Bali or Lombok? Any suggestions or advice would be most welcome. I have also posted this on the Philippines branch.

If you are talking about a purely mongering perspective, Bali is better. There is action in Lombok for sure - but it is not as easy to find. There is one club in Sengigi for example where you can find WGs and the quality is not so great. If you are looking to get away from all the crowds of Bali, then Lombok is nice. You won't find wifi in too many hotels in Bali or Lombok. But there are plenty of garden hotels even in Kuta - you won't even know you are in a big city until you walk outside the hotel compound. the short version: we were disappointed with bali to some extent. it's a bit more built up and commercialized than we expected.
the girls are not readily available at all evening hours, as in angeles city and phuket. it takes some effort to find the girls. innocent girls are notably absent.

the long version: although we knew that bali was going to be a bit of a challenge, we decided to try it. as previous posters have pointed out, the bars don't get going until late.
the places that we went:
the bar and club area at kuta beach: not for us. loud, sleazy. thumping techno music. kuta is tijuana for australians.
double six, another area on the beach, north of kuta: more of the same. loud crowds. not possible to have a conversation of any depth.
pelangi bali, a *****house: we had a good driver who took us to this place. there is a bar on the top floor, and private rooms downstairs. 600k (= roughly $60) was the rate the driver negotiated for me for an hour with a sexy young girl.
sanur, a city: behind a circle k, there are two fishbowls that have been discussed at length in previous posts. younger girls of various quality. the girls looked bored and the atmosphere was unpleasant. we wanted to take girls out of there, but the price quoted was a ridiculous 1. 6 million (= $160).
living room / hu'u, two upscale clubs: one friday night we went to these two venues, which are across the street from each other. there were four or so blatant hookers at the first table inside the door of hu'u. overall there was a good mix of mostly tourists with some locals, a well-dressed clientele, and music that was too loud for extended conversation.
massage places, called "spas": i got massages there twice, in the seminyak area. at 55k (= $5), a real deal. good, hour-long massages. didn't ask about sexual services. they didn't seem available, but i don't really know. i was enjoying the massage, so didn't want to break the mood. i would guess that it would be worthwhile to get phone numbers of girls at these places and try one's luck after hours. the shops don't seem set up for hanky-panky. am i wrong?
hard rock café: no working girls at all during my buddy's one visit.

santa fe is on the street that i believe is called jalan camplung tanduk, formerly called jalan dhyana pura. bahiana is nearby, as are a few other nightspots.

all in all, we made do in bali, but is that really enough? we missed the convenience of angeles city, where you can easily walk from your hotel room to dinner, and then to a barstool early in the evening, and have a cute, young girl on your lap in 10 minutes. i don't think we'll go back to bali, but we did our best and have no regrets. we wanted to try something new.

Good report on Bali. I have been there a few times. Since you asked for comments or criticisms: my general view is that you paid too much for the girls in most instances. Perhaps you were there to have a good time and money was not an object - at least not a big one.
The going rate in the Sanur ***** houses is Rp. 150,000 (~US$16) per pop + 50K or o tip for good service. The price quoted to you (Rp. 1.6 million) is 10 times higher! The 600K at Pelangi is probably Bule price as well - although I have not been there. If it is ***** house, it is likely frequented by the locals - which means the price is similar to the X houses in Sanur.
In Kuta, the prices wary a lot for the girls in clubs. I have been quoted Rp. 1 million for an hour by a girl at Bounty's!! I just laughed. I have been able to take girls from there for 250K-300K for ST; long time might be about 500K.
Obviously, these prices are dependent on one's negotiating skills and patience. Some guys figure that they are on a holiday and don't care about the price - they just want to get laid. Which is fine too.

Overall, what do you suggest is better: to just stay in kuta and put up with the disco and the noice or just go for the quite ride and stay in Sanur?
Personally for what I read I think I will prefer sanur but before I make my decision I would like to ask you, the expert that have been there and done that, what is your opinion.

I have stayed in both Kuta and Sanur and here are my views:
You get more value for the money if you stay in Sanur and it is good if you want a quiet place. But at the time I was there it was very, very quiet. In fact, a little bit boring. There were not many people in the streets after 9.00 p.m. And not many young people. Mostly middle aged and older people.
If you like swimming but not in high waves then you should stay in Sanur. Kuta/Legian/Seminyak is a paradise for amateur surfers (like me) so the waves are strong. In Sanur the water is calm but it is shallow so you have to go quite far before you can swim.
I have had good experience from the X houses in Sanur.
In Kuta you have a lot of action and lot of noice. So I guess that Kuta is not your cup of tea. But why not try Seminyak? It is more quiet than Kuta but never boring. I like the seaside near Double 6 with its beach, restaurants and hotels better than Sanur. And there are some action in the vicinity. It is also closer to the clubs in Kuta compared with Sanur.
Taxi from Sanur to Kuta takes 20-30 minutes depending on the traffic situation.
I have had good experience from pussy both in Sanur and Kuta.
Btw:
I don't know how long you are staying but you don't have to stay at the same place all the time. Why not stay in Sanur half the time and Seminyak half the time?
Disaster, I would not stay in Kuta, or Sanur. I would stay in Seminyak or Legian, about 15 minutes north of kuta.
Same nice beach, bars, restaurants, shopping, but not the madness of Kuta. you can find girls in Legian, (try 66 beach at sunset) and also the clubs of Kuta.
Sanur is very quiet. Other than the x houses, you will not find much there.
If you want a girl from a brothel, hop a cab to Sanur, do your thing, and go back to the west side again. But as Bellpepper says, why not try both Legian and Sanur.

Sanur is very quiet. Other than the x houses, you will not find much there.IMHO, the X-houses on Danau Poso are plenty. I've been doing 2 a day of gorgeous good performing girls out of the X-houses these past several days in Sanur. One of them who can speak English, I have repeated and now I have arranged directly with her for an all-nighter at my hotel.
I simply cannot understand why people are dismissing the X-houses and what you can find there. IMHO, I prefer what I have gotten in the X-houses to what I got in Jakarta, in terms of value. And conveniently, My hotel is a 10 minute walk to the middle of the X-houses, as well as 5 minutes to the beach.
If you stay in Sanur, stay in the south end of the area - it's where the X-houses are.

And personally I prefer a nice environment when I arrive and when I leave a brothel. The surroundings to the X-houses are dark and almost deserted, except the motorcycles delivering the girls.

This is a good point to bring up. When you choose the best looking, best body and what appears to be the sexyest WG, what are you getting?
How busy has she been today or tonight? This is obviously the price we pay for picking the best.
Better to choose one that might be a 6 or 7 and enjoy the knowledge that she has been overlooked that day. Or just ask and hope they tell the truth.

Been in Bali for 3 days now, and have to admit to not having much of a good time. Not one for 2am night clubs (probably getting a bit long in the tooth) so been checking out the spa's etc. Checked out the mentioned Pelangi spa, turned up and there is an entrance fee of 40k which includes a beer. I would say that the majority of the girls working the X-houses in Sanur are in this age group. I did at least 5 ladies in this age range. And none over their late 20s.
All for 200K plus tip - usually in the 50-100K range, occassionlly 0 for bad performance.

I've set my price at 400st 600-700 lt. This really is unfortunate. It has been stated that to have success in the clubs you have to have some game. This is so right! Your in a club full of 20- something surfers. Don't ask you won't get is also a very rememberable phrase from this forum. I think many indo gals are shy by nature. So you should be very aggresive with eye contact short of "stepping on some dudes toes". The girls at the clubs are among the most savviest of any in the world. They get spoiled by gq dudes every night of the week. The regulars at paddies think I'm good looking but they tell me, "you've been here long time". Yea they like fresh meat. It's too late now, but when I was in Bali two weeks ago I hooked up with a driver who was the cousin of a wife of an American guy who married a Balinese woman and has three kids by her and has lived in Bali for 10-15 years I think. Her cousin was a cool guy and lived in America for 10 years prior to moving back to Ubud.
I hired him for two days. They were about 10 hour days from pickup at my hotel in Kuta to drop-off in Kuta. First day we saw some sites in Central Bali and second day some sites in Eastern Bali. Not rushed., etc. And I did enjoy chatting with him about the historical, religious, philosophical things and he was good at it because of his undergrad and grad degrees he acquired in the USA
I do have a little lingering "bothersome feelings" though because I think maybe he overcharged me. First day he charged 800 IDR. Second day I gave him 750 IDR. The second day he just said "it's up to you" so I don't thnk he was really trying to rip me off. My impression is that he just doesn't do the guide thing all that much, but does sometimes and since he's educated and lives in Ubud and knows Bali very well having lived there all by 10 years that it's pretty easy for him to show folks around.
Did I greatly overpay? I would be interested in knowing what the rate is/should be or maybe in his case it should have been more than the going rate. It was only for two days so I can live with some overpayment, but if/when I go again would like to know what it should cost for a good driver to take me wherever I want for the day (10 hours or so).
P.S. This guy did take me to the Sanur houses and waited for me so that was cool.

Cialis, viagra and levitra are widely available at Apotek (pharmacies) in the tourist areas and in the cities.
Indonesia is flooded with counterfeit drugs, especially popular western-made medication, so my advice would be to go to Kimia Farma, which is the government-owned chain of pharmacies. They are pretty well everywhere. I'd be very surprised if they had counterfeits.
Their sign is dark blue and orange.
Just make sure it is indeed a Kimia Farma store, lots of hole-in-the-wall Apotik have Farma or Kimia in their names, I think with the express purpose of conning the gullible.
Over the years I've found them consistently the best (and cheapest) for a whole variety of medications.
The cost of real Cialis, viagra and levitra is on a par with west. I can't remember the actual cost but I think Cialis was somewhere around twenty bucks or Rp 200,000 a pill a couple of years ago.
Anything significantly cheaper is more than likely counterfeit.
There is one Kimia Farma apotek at Legian Street. If you go in direction towards Legian you will find it on your right hand before you come to Jalan Benesari and Mamas, the German restaurant. The apotek is just opposite the "Extreme toys" shop.
There is also one Kimia Farma shop outside Seminyak. The address is Jalan Raya Kerobokan 140.
A package with 4 Viagra pills (100 mg) costs 623 000 rupiah. Four Levitra pills (20 mg) costs 571 725 rupiah.
The effect of the pills and the required dosis is individual. I bought the Levitra pills just to find out if they were better than Viagra but I have not tried them yet. I have tried Viagra and Cialis.
For me Viagra gives better erection than Cialis. And the dick gets really big. The effect starts after 40 minutes but it does not last more than approx 3 hours. Cialis gives sufficient erection. Yes, I think maybe 200-300k too much. I guess at least I knew the driver could speak good English and could be trusted, but I don't think he really knew how much to charge because he doesn't do it much and did have to drive down from Ubud to Kuta to pick me up. He was relative of American man I met on virtualtourist.com and I did have lunch with both of them, etc.
Oh well, probably $30 USD too much. Live and learn!

Depending on the quality of the vehicle and the quality of the driver, it is fair to pay 200-300K for the car, 100-200k for the driver, plus petrol and food and drink for your driver. Therefore price will be 300k-500K Plus extras

Local bules I know are still getting 130-150K rates but be advised that the Police have increased the "tax" every Sanur WG pays, to 50K a day now so its logical asking price maybe up a little more.

Considering that the exchange Rate has been between 8920 and 8940 most of the past month, not 9000, they are actually making about $7 from you. Which is pretty typical of an international ATM transaction. Generally, ATM charges that involve a currency exchange run something like $2-5 in fixed fee per transaction, plus 1-2% of the transaction amount.

Its that time of the year when police are cracking down on everyone... Every club was raided on the weekend in kuta looking for drugs or prostitution. I had staff stopped and asked why they were going into the building and the police were looking at all identities of locals. Dont worry though there are still hundreds out there looking for a friend. An interesting note near the end of this story, is a sobering reminder to cover up on the island of the Gods.
(11/13/2010) Based on data from Bali's Committee on the Prevention and Control of AIDS (KPA) there are an estimated 300 more infants under the age of 5 years infected with HIV/AIDS each calendar year in Bali. The children acquire the disease from their parents who are also infected with the disease.
Beritabali.com reports that further research carried out by KPA Bali show that around 1.2% of all pregnant women in Bali's capital city of Denpasar are deemed to be infected with HIV/AIDS.
A spokesman for KPA, Professor Nyoman Mangku Karmaya, told the press on Friday, November 12, 2010, that mothers who are infecting their newborn with HIV/AIDS generally hail for high risk groups of intravenous drug users or commercial sex workers.
Worried of a more widespread patterns of pandemic infection in the future, Karmaya said, "in reality, infections are mostly limited to pregnant women who once worked at cafes or who have been infected by husbands who are from high risk groups."
KPA also estimates that at least 25% of commercial sex workers in Bali are infected with HIV/AIDS.
Karmaya relayed the dire news that the number of new cases discovered each year in Bali has hit 840. On a cumulative basis, there are now some 3,700 known cases of HIV/AIDS in Bali. On the assumption that there are many more undiagnosed or unreported cases, the Bali Health Department estimates a total of 7,000 cases of HIV/AID on the island.
If there were that many infected and if only 25% of those who came in contact became infected there would be a firestorm of infections. I think (and yes I certainly do not know) that these are scare tactics. Do these numbers include gays, where the numbers are really high and how did they come upon these statistics? How many regulars on this board go bareback and even bareback anally? Anal sex is where the real great danger lies. This is not to say that one should not take whatever precaution they personally deem necessary.

.JAKARTA (AFP) – The number of known HIV/AIDS cases on the Indonesian resort island of Bali is soaring, with one in four prostitutes there reported to be HIV-positive, an official said Sunday.
A new report by the National AIDS Commission said the number of HIV infections on the island had jumped almost 19 percent to 3,778 this year, with another 597 cases.
"The figure is only the tip of the iceberg... we estimate the actual number of cases to hover around 7,000 as many cases were unreported," said the commission's spokesman in Bali, Nyoman Mangku Karmaya.
"Many people are reluctant to go for medical check-ups as there's still a stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS," he told AFP.
The number of cases this year has risen sharply from 1,253 cases in 2006 and 590 in 2004.
Karmaya said about 25 percent of the estimated 8,800 sex workers in Bali were infected with HIV this year, up from 23 percent last year, adding that the virus was transmitted from clients who refused to use condoms.
While describing the trend as "worrying", he said most tourists visit Bali for the culture and scenery, not for sex.
"There might be some who get acquainted with the sex workers, but they're aware about using condoms," Karmaya said.
However, he warned that there could be more than 840 new infections in Bali every year if the spread is not contained.
"We will increase our efforts to provide more information and educate the sex workers as well as the public. We'll also intensify campaigns promoting condom use," he added.
More than a million tourists visit Bali every year to enjoy its surf beaches, nightlife and Hindu culture.

The statements made by Prof Nyoman Mangku Karmaya about infants infected with HIV, and the number of pregnant women identified as HIV positive are all as reported.
However the statement that "One in four Bali prostitutes is HIV positive" comes right out of left field and is not as reported in the Berita Bali report quoted by many other news media.
The Jakarta Post article on Prof Nyoman's statements re infants and pregnant women also makes no mention of "one in four".
Don't get me wrong, I am not saying this statement is incorrect, I am just saying that it is unattributed.
And before Bali mongers get too paranoid (or complacent), consider this.
By far the majority of prostitutes who come to the attention of the various harm reduction agencies, and Prof Nyoman's Committee for Prevention and Control of AIDS, are the easily identifiable ones who work in the domestic focused sex industry (brothel locations, including Sanur X houses) or who are what are politely called Cewek Kafe, the girls who work at the hundreds of beer bars for local men.
The girls who ply their trade at tourist-oriented venues (and the massage parlors which offer FS) largely slip through the net. That is, they are not identified by the harm reduction agencies, and therefore are not generally HIV tested nor counseled on HIV prevention.
Unlike Thailand and other places with enlightened views on commercial sex, Indonesian prostitutes are not obliged to have regular tests; very few "germo" (pimps) put pressure on them to do so voluntarily; and the social stigma of being a commercial sex worker is still so strong that many girls not caught up in "public order" raids, would never voluntarily submit themselves for testing for fear of being identified as a prostitute.
All that said, most of those who work in the AIDS prevention area in Bali agree that there is a lot more HIV infection than is generally reported.
So think with your big head guys.
HIV/AIDS may not be the automatic death sentence it was 15 years ago, but it sure will cramp your style.

Ask for one of the newly renovated rooms and will probably cost about $50 a night. If not then there are plenty of new hotels all along seminyak that would be in your price range. I think the Haven looks good from the outside. Never been inside though. Another option would be Breezes Hotel in Dyana Pura used to be a Contiki hotel but now new management and rooms are good.

I stayed in December 2009 at Kumala Pantai Hotel on the Seminyak / Legian border. The basic standard room was $55 though went up $10 for Christmas period. They have more expensive ground level suites as well. Two great pools and swim-up bars, luxurious gardens, and classy lobby. Also, an awesome breakfast included. It's directly across from beach and most clubs are in easy walking distance. GF too. Be careful not to mix this one up with a similar named hotel a few hundred yards away.

After that there is a myriad of budget airlines plying the Jakarta to Bali sector.I would agree that the cheapest way would be to fly from Manila to Jakarta, and then get to Bali from Jakarta. One caveat is that you will find that few if any of the discount carriers that serve Indonesia can accept Credit Card payments from banks outside of Indonesia. One that can is Air Asia. I would also state that IMHO, the degree of professionalism exhibited by Air Asia dwarfs that of Lion Air.
One other thing to research is that you can fly Air Asia from Clark to Kuala Lumpur and then from KL to Bali. But you would need to overnight in KL each way to do it. But you could probably do the whole round trip for 300-400 US.
Air Asia is a reliable and very inexpensive airline that services Bali from several major Asian hubs, including Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Jakarta so if you can get to any of those hubs cheaply out of Manila, they will be able to get you to Bali for for probably under $100 USD each way from any of those hubs. As I pointed out, you could also fly Air Asia from Clark to KL, and then KL to Bali, but it would require an overnight each way to do it reliably.
In my experience, one can pretty safely carry high end photography gear in Bali. But getting it to Bali safely might be another story entirely.

PAL is going to start non stop service between MNL and DPS fairly soon. If he's carrying-on a bunch of camera gear, he's almost certainly going to need to check a bag with his clothing and such. I have no experience with Cebu Pacific, but Air Asia's cheap fares don't include checked bags either, but they let you buy a 10KG or 20KG checked baggage allowance for a reasonable charge.

Forget Mandala, it went broke last month and had to give its aircraft back.

Just for the heck of it, I tried my Visa when checking flights and it went through to the Verified by Visa page (where you enter your password as a secondary security measure) and it was all good!
The new 737s aren't quite as new now, so we'll see how good the Lion Air maintenance standards in the next few years. That said, the plane's decor and seats resemble something akin to a commuter train.
If Mandala don't come back, I'll miss them.

You can't book Lion Air online unless you have a Credit Card issued by an Indonesian bank. .I don't think this is the case anymore, but there's another way that Indonesians use and that is to book on line and then pay at an ATM (in Indonesia) with a direct debit from your bank account.
I did this a year or so ago, but don't remember the exact procedure.
However as 2041 says, it's probably not an issue as there are so many Jakarta. DPS Lion flights. I have to agree too, that Air Asia is a pretty classy act and not inferior in any way to Lion, and in many cases it's better.

In Bali are just terrible. They cause traffic jams as they make their way down a small Jl. Trying to get the bus load of Asian tourists to a Cafe in the back roads of Ubud.
Just another day in paradise. But whats alarming is the cost of everything. Man, inflation is over 10%. I walk into Bali Deli and I am shocked at the prices. Double that of Hawaii on many items. Austrailian Wine that I pay $7. 50 in Hawaii is 375, 000 rp in Bali Deli. Thats around $40. 00, and Australia is next door to Bali.
What ever happened to the good old daze? Lucky I have a home here and a mobile.

Gumby. Cebu pacific is do-able. Late night flight but you have to stay in Jakarta for a night. Then to Bali the next day. Also check Tiger Airlines. They offer service from Manila to Singapore. And you can get service from Singapore to Bali via Air Asia. If you travel Cebu Pacific. They even weigh your carry on luggage and add it to your check luggage! Air Asia does not do this. Tiger airlines. I fly back this Monday with them from Sing. To Manila. I have used Tiger before. Just we aware that Cebu Pacific and Tiger have the most uncomfortable seats ever. They are out to get every dime they can. And really scrimp on the planes even though they are fairly new.

Back to business = Two new venues for people to investigate.
1. A new Body Arum Spa has opened in jimbaran (not sure how long I saw it a couple months back so still fairly new) This is the same Spa in Denpasar with the famous 'beer massage'. I went in and had a look but a cute girl tried to palm me off with a not so cute girl so I left. Located on the main road jalan raya uluwatu through Jimbaran parallel to the Bypass, on your left as you go north toward kuta.
2. A new Rosalinda Spa has opened on mushroom alley in Kuta (right next to Bemo corner at the end of legian street the first left is mushroom alley you will see some girls on the corner) There are now 3 rosalinda spas, one on jalan Nakula (straight up from jalan 66 3 mins past the mini mart on your left) one on jalan legian (going south down jln legian just after the ¨double D sports bar' is a small gang, just up the gang on your left) and now this one next to bemo corner. Slight variation in name, its called rosalinda angel spa, nice coincidence for angel spa fans! RTF for Rosalinda info but the basics are as follows. Mix of hags, average and very cute young balinese girls in all 3 locations. 100k gets 1 hour massage with happy ending, generally an extra 50k-100k for BB BJ. I had two young honies chowing down at the same time for about 250k at the jln legian 'spa'. Actually the nakula one is even cheaper. Should mention it's a misleading name, there is no spa at all in this place haha. It's set up as a nightclub, very dark with sofas round the sides. FZI got Lion's same fare buying with cash at the airport that they had online the month earlier just over a week in advance once I had landed in CGK. That was for a flight from Jogya to Bali the following week. Depending upon where you are going in Indonesia, most of Lion's one way fares are in the $65-120 US range. The one I bought was for 570K Rupiah, which was around $65
Absolutely guaranteed to be late especially if its a afternoon flight because as the day progresses every flights lateness is compounded onto the arvo flights.
Make sure to order a emergency exit seat as they have the most cramped up seating I have ever experienced.
I just flew to Bali a month ago and the flight was 2 hours late and this was at 11 in the morning so we left the departure satellite area at Cengkareng due to no available seats and went back to one of the resto lounges inside the main building. I went back an 1 1/2 hours later to check and the plane had already left with all of our luggage and surfboards. There was no mention of the flight leaving over the speakers but so much for aircraft security as my luggage left without me or my GF.
I vowed never to fly with them again as I will pay the extra cash and fly Garuda.

To add insult to injury, last year, they refused to let my assistant sit at an emergency exit with me.

Been back in Bali a month now and have had a load of success with DIA (love that site!).
Anyway after looking through here I heard Rosalindas on Nakula mentioned, I was very near so thought why not? Haven't had a 2 girl massage for a long time!

Ok the road from the beach that's known as jalan 66 is as you say actually called jalan Arjuna. Follow that up to the crossroads where theres a big minimart on the corner. Don't turn keep going straight (still the same road but it's called jalan Nakula) about 2 or 3 minutes on your left, Rosalinda spa. Some hags in there and some cuties. My favourite is Komang young cute balinese, usually paid about 150k hour massage with blowjob. Quite shy though so not the best. I have a Mandiri Account so I book online and pay at the ATM. I have never bought these tickets at a lion Air counter but the best rate I have ever seen for Jakarta Bali is at the moment 352k plus around 47k for fuel Surcharge, Taxes & Fees. Usually the Promo fares have to be bought days even weeks in advance due to supply and demand. Generally you will be paying 500. 700k for your tickets. Funny thing is last night on Australian News Channel there was a story on Garuda how they are the most improved airline in asia and even Indos were bagging the other airlines due to their lateness. If you like loitering around airports fly Lion Air. Garuda has Surprise fares for 550k ++ just like Lions Promo. At least Garuda are ever only late 10-15 minutes. Air Asia is the other better option.

ThanksYou need to book ahead of time thru an agent. And yes if there is a empty seat you might be able to get it at a promo but not usually. They are sold out ahead of time. We have tried to change a Promo ticket and you have to pay extra for a different day or time. Proms are usually the first flight and or the last flight of the day. Depends.

I have a mid-day lay-over in Denpasar coming up that. Well, I want to get laid during the layover, and Angel seems the most logical place for me. TTGIn the Bangkok forum, how to get laid during flight lay-overs is a question that comes up frequently. How much minimum time, where to go, etc. I've never seen the question come up in this (Bali) forum, but I was curious.
So for the experiment--I arrived at DPS airport mid-day, found a small queue at the visa line, picked up my luggage and checked it at the 'kept baggage' locker. I was into a taxi and on my way to Angels Spa in about an hour.
90 minutes later I was back on the way to the airport, well laid and blown. The whole adventure took less than 3 hours, but I would allow at least 4 hours between flights to be safe. And you will be MUCH more relaxed on the next flight. ~TTG

Two thoughts: On my stay in Ubud in December 2009, I went to the Sanur XXX houses first and arranged for a girl to come to my Ubud villa for a side visit after a nice session with her at my hotel in Sanur. She gave me her number and came over for the evening the following day. It's not that far from Sanur but given the transportation logistics, I would recommend a long term visit. However, that may be impractical for you due to your conference.
In that event, I would say you could take a stroll up the street from the monkey forest road (where the monkey park is located) towards the main part of downtown Ubud. On the corner walking uphill you will probably notice an ice cream / coffee shop on the corner and and on that corner several young guys are usually playing a make shift game of outdoor chess. I spoke to these guys one day and one said that they could arrange a girl for me to come to my villa for a visit. As I already had a perfectly fine girl, I did not follow through but it may be an option. The guys were cool so no problem engaging in some conversation. I have been to Bali and Jarkata many time staying in 3-4 star hotel never have any problem bring girl back to my hotel, just once they ask for the girl I'd but never a Joiner fee like some Bangkok hotel.

The questions I asked on the Jakarta forum were based on information that I couldn't find, simple as that. You seem to be a forum veteran so surely you can see that there is certain key information that is sometimes lacking (I. E what time to arrive at a massage parlour). I could only find one mention of Marioboro, hence the question.
On the Bali, Surabaya and 'other towns' pages, I went back about 25 pages and once again there was a vast amount of information to absorb. I could prove it by copying and pasting all of the information I've gathered so far but I don't want to annoy people just to prove to a cynic that I have RTFF.
Furthermore I'd like to point out that following my trip to Philippines last year, a trip which I extensively researched on this site, I posted a 27, 000 word field report (spread over about a dozen reports) , as well as dozens of photos, so I can't be accused of being lazy or not giving anything back. Click on my name to see for yourself. You'll also notice lots of replies from other site members, thanking me for such in-depth and informative reports. Which of course I wouldn't be able to do if I didn't do sufficient research in the first place (hence the questions).

Well if you had gone back 50 pages, on page 46 you would have found report #1806 from Barri. That report will save you the trouble of RTFF.

Lancelot, sanur seems to be a funny place. There are many X houses on a street named Jl danau poso, which is directly going away from the beach at the small roundabout in Sanur. Girls work many of those places, so it is hard to say. This place has better girls than that place. Upon arrival, you might find 2 girls there, or 4, or none! The papa will send out a few sms, and within 5. 10 minutes, motorbikes will start pulling up with girls on the back. Some might have come from their room, but some will have been sitting around at another X house. . So it doesn't matter much which X house you hit. One of the easiest to find is 67X down an alleyway next to circle K (a convenience store) on the right hand side of Jl danua poso coming from the roundabout.
If you do go by taxi, ask him to drop you off at circle K.

I seldom post, but I've mentioned on more than one occasion that the "X" only stands for X-tensiion, in that there might be a number 41 and 41X simply means that is an addition to the 41. Just like 41A or 41B, so be respectable about what you say to whom, but the map should give you a good idea about what is where.

Neypi report as promised. My regulat WG / GF met me at the hotel I booked, had a swim and a fuck in the room and went out for a meal and a look at the Ogoh Ogoh parades around the place. Nice night out. I had taken my underwater camera housing to photograph the promised fuck in the pool, but to no avail, the pool was full of ugly Europeans, (no offence meant, but they have a habit of hogging things around hotels, but then again, I am not a tourist, I live here in Bali) which cramped our style for most of the night, so no hanky panky, then it rained, so we had to settle into the room for the duration.
We then spent the day / night eating, drinking, sleeping and fucking!
Both pretty rooted at the end of it. The looks we got at the meal times were priceless, my woman has some body, and shows it off, these Euros were creaming themselves, and you should have seen the looks on their wive's faces, priceless, this beauty with an old **** like me (a pretty fit old **** I might add!).

After that, the fishbowl at 67X, where the menu was slightly more appetizing, they wouldn't budge from 200K, and we moved on.
Stopped at a bar on Danau Poso for a drink, called Angels, what a depressing place.
1 more place. 11X, we looked at each other, my friend said, thanks for brining me here, I thought I was missing out on something, and we headed back to the other side of the island.
