Just finished catching up on reading the Bali thread, and it looks like not much has changed.
X Houses are still the best value in Bali, but as Onodj mentioned, it's a very basic, maybe even low-class experience. For 150 K more in Jakarta, you at least get aircon and a relatively clean room. My last experience at 67 X or the one with the girls sitting outside, I believe, was not worth repeating despite it being cheap and the girl trying her best. The room was non-aircon, so it was a sweaty mess, and the shower was like out of one of those horror movies. Plus no English, whereas I found in Jakarta, most places have cute girls that can speak a little.

I used the flying dandy website which shows a lot of spas but it seems to be being reworked at the moment.
Many cheaper massage joints in denpasar are shoot and finish, they don't even continue with the massage.

Cost a bit more at 1. 5 M but mamasan was able to discount my session down to 1. 2 M and I was happy with that. 90 minutes of amazement.

A bit late filing this field report. I recently had a busy work schedule with visits to several clients around Asia, one was at Denpasar and honestly I am NO fan of Bali so my aim was to fly in, do the meetings and site visit, then fly out again. You will find Bali completely different to Pattaya. The brothels are all located in Sanur but with nearly 20 years travelling experience to Bali I have never needed to go to one. Visited this place a couple of weeks back. There is another branch in Seminyak which is apparently bigger and better. The Kuta place has only 6 rooms and 8-10 girls to choose from. The other place apparently has 30+ girls working. Although not all might not be shown in line up. I did pass by that branch one day, and it is more on the likes of Alexis / Mali. One stop place.

Using the memorial as landmark, take a stroll North or South and walk for a couple of hundred meters on Jl Legian during evening hours / night time, in either direction. There are plenty, most will hang around in front of the clubs. Some you may also find right in front of the memorial, at the entry point of Poppies II.
Tip 1 - they ask for 500 k. That includes a ST room at 100 k. Negotiate it down to 400 k. You can always tip them the extra 100 k and make it 500 k if they do well.
Tip 2 - single girls on motorbikes offering 'transport' are on the game. They will know where to find cheap rooms.
Tip 3 - when Jl. Legian is crowded, watch your pockets.
Tip 4 - a couple of hundred meters down south of the memorial are LB's. Some are so feminine, in the dark, you won't be able to tell they are not girls.

This is no reflection on RioD but the previous exchanges reminded me of when a friend of a friend was learning BI through a foreign University while at work in Indonesia. She was going well in the lessons and tutorials but was failing badly when it came to the exams and few of the corrections made sense to her. Thanks.You won't be going there in July. Period. I haven't heard of any flights actually going into Bali any time soon and your home country probably wouldn't allow you to go neither. Be prepared to be cancelling flights. Even if you already lived in Indonesia, flights to be Bali are government workers and workers who have special permit only.

Suggest if you are in Bali now and attend Flame you will negotiate a good price regardless.
I am not a reg but have been there a few times, negotiated 650 down from 800 in times that we no where near as quite and desperate than they will be now I am certain.

Pedro.I'll be here all of August, and spend most of my time in Indonesia anyway (although in a different region usually). Staying in Legian at the moment, and nearly everything is shut (not unexpected, but I like to play street roulette with ladies offering massages. Not really an option at the moment). Did drop by Flame in Seminyak the night I got here, usual transaction. Nothing out of the ordinary (the lady I had been seeing there the last 18 months whenever I was travelling through town doesn't seem be around anymore. Tika), although 10% off the usual prices at the moment.
If anyone has any leads on services still operating, or massage plus places other than Flame to give a go, let me know.

The bigger issue maybe where you are coming from as indications for me (Australia) will not be allowed oversees departures for many months yet, possibly 2021.

Here's a tip for you guys who love beef, especially Aussies & Yanks. Mongers have to eat too. The name of the restaurant is Brazilian Aussie BBQ, It is an all-you-can-eat Brazilian Churrascaria where they bring the different cuts of meat to your table. The beef is from Australia. They also have a great salad and soup bar. The cost is US $13 for regular and US $18 for prime meats. You can't get that price anywhere in the world.
Their address is Jl Beraban #12 in Legian. Their hours are 16:00-23:00. I go there two times (as soon as I arrive and just before I leave) on every trip since 2017 (I think). I was just there in January. They have another branch in Kuta near Poppies I but I have not been to that one.

Only been to Riverview a couple times not sure you can negotiate there but if you were ever able to it would be now.
The same people that own Fame have the one in Kerobokan near the gaol, never negotiated there on my one visit.
I have at Maharani and the one just around the corner on Sunset Rd as well as the one off Dew Sri with the 8 ball out the front.
Not that I am a cheapskate but I don't bother with the build up, nipple sucking, like to get straight down to action being old, usually out of there within the half hour.
I usually inform the mamasan I will be out in 30.

Sanur X Houses, I keep seeing the alley mentioned near Circle K? When I look at google maps there are several Circle K's. Where is this actually at? Which Circle K?
How many of these X houses are there in this area?
Is there any negotiation of services in these places (like a MP where you have to negotiate upgrades), or are these just brothels where 300 k or so is the full service price (no BS pricing)?
Thanks, I understand these aren't the type of places for everybody. I used to do 4, 6 weeks trips to Pattaya a year. Now I usually do 2 weeks just checking out somewhere new then a month in Pattaya (unless I go to Medellin). Thought this might be something different than AC or PP again.

I think there is an X house 3 houses down from the Dutch bar on sekar waru.
From circle k head back towards sanur centre, on the 2nd road on the left is 11 X you normally get whistled at walking by. If you turn left go to the end of the road (5 minutes walk) 99 X is on the right. There's also a couple of massage shops offering FS down here.
If you rent a moped and drive from across the bypass after turning right after circle k and just drive around you will see numerous X houses dotted around. Prices seemed fixed.
There are guys on mopeds outside circle k willing to take you "somewhere" (I've never tried).
Sanur doesn't have hookers although sit outside Casablanca bar in the evening some will come to you but not too quality.
WeChat is great, I picked up numerous freebies but I was living there and also Badoo.

This was all pre covid.I've been to the one on Danau Poso near Tirtanandi. If you map that area, it's the little 50 meter alley just to the east of that intersection facing north. The alley is unpaved and not super well lit. But it does have 3 fishbowls on it and lit well enough. There's moped traffic buzzing in and out of there carrying mongerers every once in a while. The fishbowl at the end of the alley is the most "official" looking one with the most girls. About 20. The others usually stock about 5 to 10, closer to 5 most nights. The homies hanging out in the dark corner near the Circle K say Hello, to you and will offer you a ride to another X house. I'm daring, so I did the ride. They dropped me off 2 blocks away at Sakar Waru about 100 meters south of Danau Poso. I gave him 100 k rupiah for the ride and introduction. He offered to wait for me but I told him to take off so he can go find more business. I was able to walk back to the circle K.
I'm not a fan of the Sanur X houses. While very cheap at about 250 k to 300 k (for bali, but this is going rate for GFE / PSE service in Jakarta), the girls offer no GFE at all. No kissing, no bb, maybe BBBJ for a few seconds if that. It's a fairly disappointing let down. The girls I've seen are young and fairly pretty. But the service just seems to be very bad for level of intimacy.
I recommend the spas in Denpasar by a long run. The prices are severely jacked up though. 1. 2 M to 1. 5 M just to walk in. I usually still tip another 100 k to 300 k on top of that. I've posted my recommendations in prior post so you can look it up if you're curious. Sex scene overall in Bali is difficult. I've had some of the best in Denpasar, but paid a high price for it. The infection and positivity rate in Indonesia is the highest in South East Asia. This governmental regulation isn't designed to control infection rates when seriously the people arriving (mostly from Australia) are far likelier to be healthier than native Indonesians.

This trip report is long overdue, and I hope it's still relevant. I actually wrote up the trip report in early 2020. However, things got crazy, and I got distracted with real life. With things returning to normal, I'm picking up where I left off pre-pandemic.
After reading 10 pages of the thread I decided to venture off on my own into the Sanur X Houses.
I booked a hotel in the area, because I didn't want to deal with the Kuta traffic. Broadly speaking, houses marked with an X are either fishbowls with rooms or they are just rooms. In the kind that are just rooms, a moto driver will bring girls to you or bring you to the girls. One girl I picked said she works from 4 pm to 4 am. Another girl I picked said she works 8 pm to 4 am. With those working hours, you can approximate the business hours of the X houses.
The best X house I found was behind the Circle K. There are two X houses in that alley. One house begins with a 6, possibly a 65 X. The other one I forgot. The house that began with a 6 had the most girls and the best selection. When you arrive, you stand outside the window and peer into the brightly lit room. The manager, a young looking person, told me, "400" and shined his green laser on one of the better looking girls. I said "Too much". He said, "300". I said "200". He said, "no", and turned his back to me. I said, "300 includes room? And he said "Yes". I picked his suggestion for 300 and her performance was lackluster: Rusher, one position, everything covered.
I went to the other house behind Circle K and there was only four girls. None of them were spinners.
About a block away from the Circle K heading towards the downtown area of Sanur are more X Houses. They were not fishbowls, but the moto drivers said the girls were 1 to 3 minutes away by moto. This typical conversation would follow: They would ask me what I want and that he'll bring the girls to me. I would say I didn't want to wait, and he would offer to drive me to the girls. This got me wondering if some of the fishbowls are shared amongst the collective X Houses. All these conversations were in English. I didn't take these particular moto drivers on their offer, but I did eventually take the offer of a motor driver that was particularly insistent.
I had met him in front of the Circle K on my way to the popular fishbowl. He was very persistent on driving me to his girls. I finally relented after a while and hopped on his moto. After about 3 minutes to the other side of an arterial road, I was in an entirely new area with many more X Houses. He took me to a fishbowl and the room was empty. He told me to wait and slowly the girls started trickling in. All but a couple of the 15 or so girls were large. I asked him the price and he said, "400". I said, "no". And he said, "How much you want? And I said, "200". He said. "OK, but 50 for room". I said, "OK". Total: 250 k. I picked one of the normal shaped girls and her performance was better. Unlimited positions, but she was a rusher. She wanted 50 tip for BJ and started our session by asking the question "condom or no condom? Interesting question. After the session, the moto driver brought me back and wished me well. What was odd was that he didn't ask for a tip. He just drove away. Shrug.
Everything described in previous posts about the Sanur X Houses being poor and low-class is mostly true. I didn't go during the daytime so I couldn't tell how dirty everything was, but the bathrooms were clean enough. It consisted of a clean squat potty and a garden hose to wash yourself.
To summarize, the Sanur night was novel, but not worth repeating. I spent 250 and 300 between the two girls. One gave me a poor experience and the other gave me an okay experience. If you're tired of the Kuta scene and want something different give it a shot. I think with managed expectations, it's not that bad.

70 USD for a handjob!I don't think "we" have done anything to Bali. The indos in Bali are in need for more money. Life got expensive, the pandemic got them hit, and there's a price for every service. Services are not as great as before, so reviews and double checks are important. But I think it's just the economy. Not the customers. Yes, you could fuck for free in 1995 because back then, paid sex in Bali wasn't a big deal anyway. Today it is a market with prices, supply and demand.
Any tips on nicely upkept, semi-legit massage spots or masseuses that also offer happy endings? (The closer to Sanur, the better.)

As of this week, Bali will open to most foreigners. Quarantines of 4 nights /5 days required for fully vaxxed. And, to quarantine in Bali you must arrive on an international flight (not via Jakarta). Expected to be 3 international flights a day.

Terms.
The government will require foreigners who want to travel to Bali and Riau Islands to have a B211 A tourist visit visa with a travel company guarantor, not individuals.
Foreign tourists who will travel in the two regions are also required to follow the arrival protocol for international travellers. This provision is regulated in the Circular of the Head of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force number 2 of 2022.
These requirements include:
A complete course of COVID-19 vaccination, with a certificate.
RT-PCR test results.
Proof of ownership of health insurance.
Proof of confirmation of accommodation payment.
Entering Bali.
In a release received by KONTAN, three airlines have received permits to enter Bali. These are:
Garuda Indonesia with the Narita-Japan route on 2nd February.
Singapore Airlines with the Singapore-Bali route on 16th February.
Batik Air with the route Bali-Singapore on 16th February.
Up to the time of publication, the government has not issued further details of Bali's international opening.

I can not wait to travel to SEA and taste some Asian pussy again like everyone else and I am sure when the pandemic is down graded to endemic Indonesia and a lot of other SEA countries will open up with few or no restriction's. You mention Thailand not requiring quarantine but you fail to mention the how the Test and Go scheme works? You do have to stay in a Government approved hotel overnight while you wait on PCR test and you have to test on day 5 and if you are positive you are quarantined for 10 days in either a hospital or government approved medic hospital. You have do a RAT every second day to enter bars etc. Not exactly as perfect as you make out.

Not a true mongering report but a situational report on Kuta.
Arriving at the airport was time consuming but not the Cluster Fuck I was expecting. Just research what is required at the time of your arrival and have paper copies of everything ready.
For me that was:
Covid Insurance.
Proof of Vaccinations.
Negative PCR.
3 N4 the hotel reservation.
No one cared about the tracking app.
Visa on Arrival was 500 k, PCR test was 285 k. Card or foreign currency accepted. Change is in IDR.
Get a SIM at the airport desk. It takes a while but most of the shops in Kuta are closed. About 10 minutes and its active.
ATMs at the Arrival hall are working.
Taxi, touts or Grab available. No need to use hotel transfer if you don't wish.
PCR results took about 3 hours. Technically you should stay in the hotel until it's received but this is not monitored nor enforced.
Hotels are doing an OK domestic tourist business but Foreigners are still a rarety. At least 50% of inner Kuta is still closed. Streets are near deserted.
Mask usage is near 100% when not eating.
Some legit and ++ massage places are open. Even the legit places are now offering "in room" service. ++ places are staffed by some oldies still hanging on for dear life. A few younger motor bike girls offering to drive you home for a massage. During the day there are a couple of girls hanging out at the small bars around Legian but they are no stunners.
Sorry no idea on night time options or business.
Some reports of areas outside Kuta doing ok with return or destination customers but don't expect to turn up, hit the clubs and mingle until you find someone.

At least 80% of tourists in town are Domestic Indonesians.
Of the foreigners, 80% of those are mixed couples back to meet her family, have a holiday etc.
Ie there are precious little feeder stocks for the clubs, bars and hooker havens in town.
Clubs and bars were essentially deserted. All of Poppies was closed except a few massage shops offering ++ but again the quality wasn't great. As darkness fell the freaks came out and with them the sprukers, streetwalkers well past their prime and even baby shabu fiends still in braces. A hard pass.
A quick troll online very quickly brought up numerous options: decent quality lookers for 1. 5 jt for one or two pop ST, down to run of the mill massage girls offering rub, suck and bang for 600 k.

Given that local tourists make up 90% of people in town and are their main market, I'd suggest they are doing a roaring trade but that's just a guess.

Did some RTFF prior (thanks all for the info), here's my FR from the weekend.
Kuta was by and large empty, although Canggu and Seminyak were packed with Caucasians, some Asians and a sprinkling of local tourists. Tried my luck on online dating front, there seemed to be more foreigner profiles than local ones. No dice.
Monument area was closed off, unsure if the girl bars are still alive. Walked the Legian stretch, completely deserted except for Engine Room which had a live band and a sprinkling of customers. Was a little drunk and tired but wanted to end my night with a bang so agreed to having one delivered to my hotel within 45 minutes (700 k for 1 HR, 1. 2 jt for 2 HR). Looks were passable, service was terrible, wanted extra to go down on me. Do not recommend this option.

Riverview was empty save for 2 guys who left just as I arrived. Selection of 5, only 1 was passable. 1.2 jt for 1. 5 HR, comes with a free Bintang or fruit juice. The massage was terrible but the girl was accommodating and friendly (no number tags at all). Relaxing in a hot tub drinking your beer with a girl between your legs has to be one of the best feelings ever LOL.
Has anyone tried ShiShi? Had a few locals recommend the place. Buffet dinner at the restaurant looked good but didn't try. Entrance fee to the bar upstairs was 150 k.

TIA.Most of the hard core girls get to the point and price very quickly. You can too, if you want. To do a quick sort, just ask them upfront if they want to come over. No need to insult anyone but also no need for sweet small talk about watching sunsets.

TIA.I never had any issues with just plain old dating. I always ask do you like a good dinner and drink. Then the next question is would you like to watch a movie together. Checked out Riverview just before dark. Got a lineup of 5 girls, all 5 or 6/10. Price is 1.2 M for 90 minutes, which includes full service and a drink. Had Audi from Jakarta; she was enthusiastic. Very nice place from the facilities to the welcoming manager and surely also the girls. I had 7 or 8 to choose from and you have something for every type.
I went with Sasa and she was incredible judging from 5 years of going to this or similar places quite regularly I can tell you she was top 5 of all time.
Sasa is very soft and playful with you, her massage is solid for a Spa and she does everything you ask for without discussing.
Overall it seems like nobody uses the whirpool since there where no bath foam but just shower and body gel.

I went with Sasa and she was incredible judging from 5 years of going to this or similar places quite regularly I can tell you she was top 5 of all time.

Back in my usual homestay near the mercure.
