Thanks Robert/1 Ball. Will get in touch when I get back in a couple of months. A little wary about turning this forum into a lovefest (schaf 29 may want to change channels. Amjeck, you may want to re-visit that thought.. if you'll travel Indonesia more often you will realize and know that the p4p scene is 'everywhere' and that there is an inordinate number of women that deliver a GFE that will not leave an average monger's heart untouched.
In that respect - love is a very relevant topic. The risk of getting locked into a wrong relationship with the result of financial loss or emotional damages can be quite high, cheers.
Our options here luckily are not to read only this post or that post. This statement 'seemed' to be some sort of positioning to choose ProfDesigner or Schaf29 for some reason. If someone is going to post their love or sex life here, then it's only fair game that we're all able to post a civil response. To imply only those with several posts hold any position or one of a higher authority i personally find ludicrous. I hardly found Schaf29's statement to be strongly worded and frankly was rather 'on target'. One comment. I pass through Bali regularly but I am not able to spend much time there. But I’ve been through Bali twice in the past month or so. It’s been quiet, to be kind. ThanksAs far as I know, and this is based on living in Bali the last seven years and keeping my ears and eyes open, NONE of the tourist hotel spas offer any kind of sexual services. The massages are completely straight.
That's not to say that you might not be lucky to find into an individual girl who is willing to go along, but the chances in my experience are just about nil.
Even in the various massage parlours known for happy endings such as Kuta Bugar, Balinese Massage and others, it is not guaranteed. Only certain girls are players.
For guaranteed sex you will need to go to one of the brothels or hang out in one of the late night clubs and pick up a freelancer.

I agree with Lama Di Bali, over several years I've stayed at Hyatt, Hilton, Novotel, Sheraton and some lesser ones and only once did I "succeed" during in-room massage. On that occassion (at Sheraton), the girl was fantastic but when I returned a month or so later she had been sacked for unstated reasons.

Ok, I would try this... 1. go on to the yahoo, friendster or faceparty sites and try and meet someone there... really easy and if you are reasonably good looking then you have a better than normal chance.
2. Have a look in the Discovery or the other malls but don't expect the girls to be very forward, this is their work so they don't want their friends thinking they are P4P.
3. The beach you may have a chance, although the girls tend to go for the lilly white boys as they look new to Bali and they see them as having more money to take them out.
4. Do what we do... take your luck in the clubs. If you are lucky there are girls who just want a good time, although it may take you time and precious bonking time as well finding one. This is applicable to locals and tourists.
5. Forget all that and just pay $50 a girl... it means you will have a different range of girls and you'll have a good time.

Tried out the Giriya Bugar MP yesterday. Not 100% sure on the spelling of the name but the MP is located on JL Bypass Ngurah Rai, nearer the airport than Courts Electronic store. They put a new front on the place a couple months back, which caught my attention.

it can be done! just flirt outrageously with every shop girl you meet and you'll get good responses. look for a girl from java (or sumatra or whatever, as long as she's not balinese - the balinese are quite conservative, and most cute young bali girls live with their family and aren't allowed out to go clubbing) who's living in a "kos" (ie. cheap private apartment)

Agreed there are many hotels close to Mbargo, you can turn either way or go down Poppies 2 and again many cheaper hotels for ST, for a long time I would suggest White Rose (now doing renovations) or Dewi Sri, both literally behind the monument and both clean good rooms. My preference is Dewi Sri. Prices will range from 150,000rp to 300,000 depending on the room you take.
90% of the girls prefer rupiah, as it is easier for them to go shopping with and it is easy to get money converted during the day. The going rates at the moment is between 500.000rp and 700.000rp for LT and short time between 300.000rp and 400.000rp it all depends on your negotiating skills.
You will find most of the good looking workers wont be out until at least 12 at MBargo so I suggest have a little look at Paddys and Bounty first in case you dont want to be up till late hunting.
Also if you are coming in March, and this goes to all mongers... be careful around Nyepi (March 7 I think this year) as they virtually close down Bali for that day. If you're in a large tourist hotel, things are a little more relaxed, they serve food, most let you have the lights on and watch tv. Some don't.
If you're in a villa or accommodation where food isn't on offer, you'll need to stock up in advance.

I don't know about shops in Sanur but I was able to get Cialis- the real Mcoy- in the apotek located in the same building as the Star Super Market (or is it Bintang?) on Jl Legian in Seminyak Legian. Met up with the good Prof. the other day and got some of the fat and the skinny on the local scene. Also got to meet his lovely girl; the man need never monger again - simply gorgeous. Have been having a fun time over here; helping a mate out with some local "conquests" and taking solace at the hands of the girls of Kuta Bugar. Go to the one on sunset rd rather than the one up near Balinese; much newer and cleaner; the other one feels like a slum by contrast unless u r in the VIP room and with a co-operative girl. Tired of the cranky and familiar faces of the girls at Kuta Bugar (who know I won't tip them enough) and even more tired of the constant harping on about money and hardship of my 'one and only' soon to be 'one and lonely' I decide on a mid afternoon shuffle across to Sanur. M a lost sock over there really-just a vague recollection of a very ordinary map posted here some time ago. I avoid the cops, just (its like those guys can smell me coming) and the mid arvo kamikaze traffic and stumble into danau Poso, almost too exhausted for action anyway. Scoff down a drink then notice I have a flat on the scooter. No-one speaks english or even engrish as I scramble through the wallet for the scooter dude who speaks precisely none of the above. Have I been here too long I start to ask myself. I get a chick in the shop to explain the flat thru some elaborate charades and leave the bloody thing there so I can sniff out a mercy shag; I stumble down one of those innocuous little laneways and am encouraged by some x's after the numbers; I vaguely remember this meaning something. Get coaxed into 66x and lined up against some fishbowl glass. The guys enthusiastically point out a couple of the girls (no doubt they are on the payroll) so I ignore them and go for the honey in the corner. Absolute cracker-8. 5 19years old. Quickly into things- oh my god. That body. Get the BBBJ then settle into some missionary, beautiful face but I I want her from behind. Wow. %%%$# exquisite. Kuta Bugar - Sunset is just after Jl. Nakula on the left hand side. It is literally the first set of buildings after Nakula... Very rarely see many people hanging around.
Mongering may be possible in Carrefour, but I personally wouldnt as I am a local and they all tend to have long memories, I can say though have walked through many times and had the smile and eye contact... Give it a try what have you got to lose?
I will be mongering again next week after tuesday for a couple of weeks so if anyone is in town and wants to catch up then PM me...

I went to the original Kutar Bugar yesterday and had a a nice time with a very sexy little minx. All the girls seem to want 100k minimum for extras which is fine but that makes the fee 150k all up. Hi Rickstar, it really depends on the room and the amount of time you stay, it averages out from 150.000rp to 350.000 per night, you could easily negotiate to 250.000rp per night

recently visited bali for a few days. here are my observations.
1. bali is waste of time as a mongering destination.
2. clubs don't start filling up til midnight, past my bedtime.
3. at paddy's 99% of customers were foreigners. good looking but not p4p. for us$30 they had all you can drink deal. everybody was walking around with bandana to signify that. thus they were their to get shitfaced drunk and not monger. same thing at bounty. at minibar next door, three dogfaced local were chainsmoking waiting for customers. no taker in one hour. aussies come down there to "party" i.e. drink and drink and vacation.
4. hardrock cafe, no one in at 11:30pm on friday.
5. not a good idea to bring a girl from brothel to hotel for long term. tried with three in three nights. all wanted to make you cum as soon as in room. they are not used to lt.
6. if you just want to unload, go there and finish, do not bring them for lt.your taxidriver gets 50,000 rupee cut for st, so adjust price. everything is negotiable.
7. bali is more for shopping (never seen so many shops in street after street) and not for mongering.
8. stayed at kota beach (mercure hotel). very busy area. hotel is ok but rooms are small.
9. no need to pay security guard at hotel when you walk in. girl will have to pay when leaving. they hassle her.
10. if you need a sightseeing taxi driver call a driver i met. speaks good english. us$35 for six hours and night prior took me to jimbaran bay (no charge for driving) for me to buy drink and dinner at a seafood oceanfront restaurent. i assume he gets commission.
11. no need to get visa for indonesia. visa on arrival (voa) process at densapar airport was effortless and very quick and simple. no forms or pictures needed. they just want your money.
12. best deal in bali is massage (non sexual). good massage for an hour for less than ten dollars.

14. most people going to bali from usa have to connect in kuala lumpur, singapore etc. do your mongering there and enjoy bali for other things.

Just a quick tip on accomodation here. Although some of the guys like to stay right on top of the action around Jalan Legian (nearMbargo/Bounty/Paddys) your experience (well my experience anyway) in this place is immeasurably better if you are near the beach-preferably Legian/Seminyak. Hotel Subak at the bottom end of double six is a great option. Still really close to the beach bars of double six/Bacio/La Vida Loca but loads more chilled out than anything I found around the clubs up on Jalan Legian. Cheaper too-200k a night for a really clean modern room. Kuta really sucks if you are here for more than a few days-traffic/chaos and touts. Legian is only a stones throw away and most of these issues disappear. Although I have had an accident here the scooter is still the only viable way to get around, throw a damsel on the back and drag her back to your lair. An international license is handy but the cops will still navigate their way into your pockets. Bargain them down to 50k for any indiscretions. Taxis just get caught up in the gridlock-scooters are cheap and give you loads of freedom but demand super defensive riding/driving. Expect every other clown on the road here to do exactly what they shouldnt and you will be pretty right.

Well according to Tasty there isnt much mongering here in bali... Sorry you had a bad time Tasty should have maybe contacted one of us locals and maybe we could have steered you in the right direction.
Either way, Paddys has a wall of P4P every night, Bounty I find to full of tourists, MBargo is always a goody the only trouble with all these places is that they dont start until 12.30 onwards. I have to say though it is really easy to walk down the street in Legian or in the Kuta area and pick up a girl. Although the better looking ones arent out until at least 1.
To be honest I have never tried a girl from Minibar although the price in Paddys is around 300.000rp so it should be the same... The thing is to never let them change your mind about paying more.
As to Sanur, many a little hotty is available but I think in two years I have only ever brought two back to my place. Better to just do the short time thing and if they a worth is afterwards get their phone number and sms them later. That way they are getting the money and not the boss.

I found when i was there a month ago the prices from the Minibar could be got down to 150000 ST and LT 300000. Mainly older ones there but picked up a real cute one ( about 27 but looked 24 ) . Ended up seeing her for about 4 nights in total on and off so to speak :)
Didn't have much luck at Mbargo but I think the 30000 they charge the locals to get in the VIP side turns them off a bit. Bounty was full of young, drunk tourists but there were plenty of girls up there to choose from. Bit hard to negotiate price though cos fuk it's loud in there. I am talking the top floor, not the cattle run on the way in.
I normally stay around Poppies 1 or 2 in the many hotels/backpacker/ villa things cos it's only a short walk back to the room from the Legian strip.

sorry to hear you are disappointed? but i am afraid you made many mistakes?
being a frequent guest to bali (twice a year) i can give you some information?
- yes night life in the kuta area starts very late - too late in my opinion
- 20 minutes drive from the kuta area is sanur. it is a nice big village with many nice restaurants from all over the world, especially close to the water at the long beach
- in the south part of the village you have many (20-30?) girls "pensions" where girls from mostly java are happy to see foreigners. you can choose from 20-30 girls in some places and go to a close room with them which will cost you rp 150-200 including tip. open 24 hours. there are some places where they have no own girls but they will bring to you to choose from - add another 50.000. if you want, you can bring them to you hotel, but i do not how much they want for that? an inofficial rule is that you do not talk about money after sex first time if you want to see the girl as your new girlfriend, marriage etc and want to be with her for many days. if you do not want to meet her again, you pay "taxi-money" which is what they might have said during your first negotiation. if you have been with her for many days and do not want to continue, pay her a reasonable amount and be a gentleman! remember that all these girls are poor, many have babies, which their parents are taking care of, and the girls are very anxious to meet a new man for a "life long" relationship. to be a "body-sales girl" is not a profession....
- if taxi drivers in the kuta region ask you if you want to meet "a nice young girl", and you say yes, they will drive you to sanur - add another 100.000.
- in sanur you have also 4-5 big places where "the locals" go. you find them where many motor bikes are parked outside. nice girls, but very few speak good english, or english at all? short time is abt 100.000 if you are a tourist. maybe 30-40.000 for locals? no shower etc so if that is important for you, pay more at a bigger place. but interesting to to see... some girls can be extremely beautiful...
but bali is not bangkok or angeles city - no go-go bars, no shops selling plastic dildos or porn dvd:s. it is forbidden to take any kind of pornography throught the customs (as well as drugs or firearms) but the people you meet are more than friendly... the locals do not meet in cafés, they have no cinemas, no tv, so sex is their highest form of amusement - that is what i think.... and i do not miss tv when i am in bali....

After a long absence of mongering I finally had the chance to look down legian last night after 11.30
Paddys: Full of tourists and basically a whole wall of WG's not many pretty ones and all looking very upset because no bule are paying attention.

Just bailed last night in a wave of storms and tears. Sorry didn't get in sync with you guys (Prof/1Ball) for a last stand. Have to agree with Hanque's response to Tasty. There are options all over the place if you are prepared to look for them.Sanur, Legian, the 66 strip, shop girls, mall girls. Maybe not the instant and visible scene but better for it I reckon. Bali, Sanur and Kuta. It is very funny, Bali was to me like a dicotomic location. I mean, Sanur is very good place for monger but it is dead place for life. Kuta is much fun for life but not very good place for monger. The paradise should be a Kuta with a Jalan Danau Poso in it. Going back and forth from Kuta to Sanur the taxi fare will twice the fucking budget. I did once with motorbike. It can be done, 20 minutes. It reminded me of my first trip to Bali many many years ago. (about 25 years ago! ). Arrived very late. Sanur Beach hotel I think. Anyways as I arrived, the bar was closing. I asked for beer there before checking in. The band was shutting down. The singer asked why I came when bar was closing. I said, flight late, customs slow etc. He asked what I was looking for in a bar that was closing. I sid first I need a cold beer. And was hoping to find a hot woman.

The Lombok gossip chain is very tight and everybody knows everybody, especially the young girls. That makes it tough to recruit from a place like Senggigi or anywhere on Lombok.
So in a week or so I am going to Bali and will see if I can lime up a supply of girls. From experience I know that every town is run differently. I’d like to find a house that pimps the girls with a Mama-san that is clever at organizing and recruiting. I am willing to pay a reasonable commission to the Mama-san. I’d give the girls a good arrangement – something like a guaranteed minimum per week, room and meals, health care if they need it.
If I can’t find a pimp house, then I’ll try to recruit the girls individually.
But I hate to hit the streets cold. We all know that talking business like this could be dangerous. I don’t want any ex-army bouncer thinking I am trying to cut in on the business or maybe think I am undercover police.

I am going to Bali in a week and am looking and various deals for hotels. I have a few questions.
Where should I stay? I want to be at a nice beach during the day and get freaky/party at night.
Are there any hotels that won't let me bring a lady back to my room? In Bangkok the guy I went with said we were staying in a certain hotel so there wouldn't be any hassle about this.

The beach is great, lots of japan visitors. You can walk out the front gate of the Hyatt, turn left walk a few blocks and your in the XXX district of Sanur.
Good eats, open bars, and lots of girls to choose from, but not in the bars.
Sanur is safe and quiet. If your are young and want dance club action then
you need to consult the good Professor, or 1ball. Asolute authorities on Bali

Here’s the deal. I got a situation in Lombok, in an area where the hotels are suffering from a lack of tourists. One of the hotels has a great set-up for a semi-exclusive private club. Unused hidden bar in the back, secret rooms, owner tight with the police, etc. Etc. All makes it a great place to spend a few hours or days. The Lombok gossip chain is very tight and everybody knows everybody, especially the young girls. That makes it tough to recruit from a place like Senggigi or anywhere on Lombok.
So in a week or so I am going to Bali and will see if I can lime up a supply of girls. From experience I know that every town is run differently. I’d like to find a house that pimps the girls with a Mama-san that is clever at organizing and recruiting. I am willing to pay a reasonable commission to the Mama-san. I’d give the girls a good arrangement – something like a guaranteed minimum per week, room and meals, health care if they need it.
If I can’t find a pimp house, then I’ll try to recruit the girls individually.
But I hate to hit the streets cold. We all know that talking business like this could be dangerous. I don’t want any ex-army bouncer thinking I am trying to cut in on the business or maybe think I am undercover police.

YoAbout the bad pictures, I find that most Indonesian girls do not photograph well in snap shots. I'm not sure why, because when you see them face to face, they are attractive and and sexy. I think the dark skin (ie, the "Polynesian girl" look) does not photograph well under the bright sun or artificial light). A major negative is the black nipples. Plus, it is hard to find thin girls with big tits. They are around (the Indonesian word is 'junking') if you are looking for nice ass and bit tits without the fat-mama look.
Scars come from accidents on motor bikes. Plus, the humid climate will often cause painful boils that leave scars. The Sunar Beach is a good choice for location, just out the front gate and accross the street are a number of good XXX houses. We took the all inclusive thinking we wouldn't probably eat there but the food was excellent 3 restaurants. The rooms could use updating and we had our wives so I can't comment if it is GF but I suspect it is or a small tip to doorman. Have a great time! I have been going to Thailand rather than Bali as it used to be too pricy in Bali.

In my humble opinion, the sort of girls that you will get to Lombok wont be the top to mid range... 90% of these girls make a min. of 400.000 rp a night ST and most have at least two clients a night average that at say 5 nights which they all work and most are taking home roughly 2 juta a week. Thats just working on them not working too hard. Also what has Lombok to trully offer the girls. If they have money they like to shop, is there any good shopping there?
Pardon my ignorance as I have never been to Lombok.
I would suggest you do what the locals do and get girls from east java etc on a six month contract and then supply them with accommodation etc.
Also keep in mind if the locals get wind that a bule is making money basically running girls they will probably do two things. 1. They will set up alternative businesses and drive you out of business. 2. With Lombok being as it is they will probably intimidate the girls warning them to leave.
There have been a couple of bule in bali who have considered trying to set up the same sort of business but the logistics and the safety factor for yourself were not worth the risk.
Even myself having worked in the sex industry for a long time in oz, after carefully looking at the reprocussions realise it would be a very dangerous business wihout a lot of money for protection etc.
If you can get it working then congratulations, but if you have even a sliver of doubt go with you gut feeling.

Ok, I understand the economics. Thanks. Each town is different. I've been mongering in Surabaya but alway was chained down when I went to Bali, so I just don't know the setup.
The situation with the local population is delicate, but I have a very good arrangement which I hope will insulate me. The hotel where we want to set up the club is on 2 hectare and is running high vacancy. So plenty of room to keep the girls comfortable. This whole setup will be tucked far away in the back with good security and tall walls controlling who goes in and out. The local guides will can get the word out to the bules in town.
Good advise about the girls. Shopping in Mataram is good, but that's an hour or more trip. That's something to consider.
Do you know any towns in far East Java where I might find a pool of WG? I want to go in friendly and speak to a mama-san that is willing to help. I speak Bahasa Indonesia, so that often helps. I think the key is to find an agent that has close contact with the local scene and is willing to recruit for a fee. I want to keep myself at a pure business level, not negotiating with the girls individually.
But Surabaya scares me. I don't mind loosing money, but I sure don't want to loose my head (or any other body part) over this venture.

This Hotel is absolutely girl friendly there is no need to complicate issues asking about it in my opinion. As is mentioned elsewhere all the X houses are over one block and on the way is the Sanur Bugar MP which although a bit small and tired has a couple of stunners working there. I agree Sanur Beach Hotel is girl friendly, but it is better to say when you book in that my girl friend is coming tomorrow/later and ask for two keys. There is no problem if you want to stay in the room for a couple of days just put the "Do not disturb sign" on the door, the room service is OK. It has two wings one old and one new, in the old one the rooms are smaller and cost less, but the room boys are very co-operative about making up the room!
I know the Sanur Bugar MP but never tried as I thought most of the MP in Sanur were straight massage only, so now I will try.

Were is Sanur Buger?If you you use entrance to Sanur Beach hotel or Cat & Fiddle as starting point which is right at end of JL Danau Tamblingan or some maps refer to it as JL Cimara, but one way street. At end this road meets JL Sudamaja, turn right into Sudamaga and SB is 200 metres on left, it has a big red and white sign up outside. Normally 3/4 young girls, but basic no shower, but girls very friendly only two with good english.

RLYou are right, the prices on many things have risen. Certainly anything imported. But local labor is still cheap. I can hire a skilled worker on Lombok for 40, 000 Rp per DAY. The price of hotel rooms has not gone up significantly either. The Indonesian government regulates the price of gasoline to the consumers, so we don't get too much ripple down effect (yet). The Rupiah has followed the fall of the US dollar. So most other currencies (especially Euro and Yen) will buy you a lot more Rupiah now.
Damn, $4 a gallon for gas in Hawaii. I seriously considered moving there at one time. The fates were with me when I took a long trip around Asia first. Right now, if you've got an outside income to support yourself, this is unquestionably the best place to find a new home.
Regarding your comment about the authorities, this place is so corrupt that paying them off is both easy to do, and not expensive. Plus the owner of this hotel (a local guy who divorced his Swiss wife) is in tight with all the authorities. Since he will make some money on the deal, we are quite sure he will keep the authorities well greased.

I want to thank my brother monger for all the info and feedback and PM’s on Bali. I have already posted my Jakarta report on the Jakarta thread . I stayed there 3-4 weeks ago, but with a GF from JKT, so I didn't pick up any girls. However you don't have to pass through the reception, which is located in a separate building, to get to your room. The rooms are spread out in other "cottages". It's a good choice, recomended.

Bali is not the place to pick a 4 star to stay at for the Bali experience. You
want to get a small bungalow type setting with an outdoor breakfest area.
On the beach or very close.
Forget the Conrads and the Hard Rocks. This is Bali not Jakarta or any other
big city. Check out the internet and the photos of the quaint small family
owned hotels, bungalows and Lossman.
Usually the rooms surround a pool area or overlook the beach. You can walk down the beach or just lounge by the ocean.
And as far as Kuta is concerned, it's a place to visit, not a place to stay.

I guess it depends on how long you rent the villa for. I have a nice house, no pool, but 2 bedrooms, AC, 3 minutes walk from Santa fe, 3 minutes to the beach, 4 minutes by bike to 66, and it breaks down to about 10US$ / day. But of course, that is for a 10 year period, paid in advance, so it is all relative.
Going to Nusa Dua is a HUGE mistake. It is hotel row, nicely manicured, lots of lovely families with their kids, and boring as hell. 30 minutes by taxi to bars and restaurants. You will probably want to kill yourslef after the first night there.

Thanks also to those who answered my query about the Conrad. I appreciate the advice. As I said in my original post I can stay there free using HH points so cost is not an issue. I'm actually going there to check it out for a later possible visit with family when mongering will not be on the agenda. So my only real question is whether it is GF to determine if I might have some company when I'm there on my own. If it is GF that would be good but if it's not, it's no big deal.

I'll be in Bali this November/December, and I was wondering what the best place to stay is for both nice beaches and hobbying.
I have been leaning toward Sanur, but if anyone has a strong opinion as to someplace better, I am certainly open to suggestion.
Any info on the guest friendliness of these mid-priced Sanur hotels:
The Mercure Sanur, The Parigata Resort, Tamukami Hotel, Mentari Sanur Hotel.
Any info on these places will be appreciated. Would Kuta or Seminyak be better choices than Sanur for staying in Bali? I am not looking nor expecting to score with partying tourists for freebies, I would expect to be paying the going rates for local companinionship.

Actually no I have been 1. Busy with contracts and 2. my GF is now 4 months pregnant so I am doing the right thing (for a change) and staying home... Apart from that I dont get out much anymore but have seen much bigger tourist numbers coming through. A lot of Australians and Dutch and still a lot of Russians... As to mongering at the moment there is just no need, with my gf as she is the hormones are kicking in and it is certainly a new experience...

Hi Suns, you are right in the centre of it all at White Rose, you can go to either Bali Massage or Kuta Bugar which are about a 5 minute taxi away or Kuta Timor which is about 15 minutes away all working during the day and night. Apart from that at night you are right in the centre of all the Kuta fun. To your right is Mbargo which starts getting busy from 12.30 and to you left is ESC/Sky Garden, My Room, Apache Bar, Bountyship Disco and Paddys all of which you will be able to get ST in hotels close.

ProfThanks Prof for the offer but ended up just doing the usual mongering at Embargo, Bounty and Paddys. Ended up doing a long time ( as in for the week ) with a nice Javanese lady who REALLY pushed my buttons and spent the week either in my apartment or hers.

Day 1:
Arrived in Bali from Jakarta at around 8pm on 1 June 08 (after a long delay of flights from Jakarta). Proceeded to check-in to Wina Holiday Villa Hotel. Hi all, I have been quiet for a while lurking back here basically waiting to give some sort of a good report. Although I personally am not mongering at the moment, I see that Bali is certainly bringing a lot of mongers to town.
Some new places to check out
Ocean Beach Club - At the beach end of Poppies 2, run by the people that run ESC and Skygarden, very popular and food isnt bad either.
Eikon - Opened on saturday, they are wanting the more upclass person to go there so they told me no WGs, I would say that they will let in the good looking well dressed girls (Hey this is Bali) Nice smallish Lounge restaurant that I think will do well if they market right... Location next to MBargo on the left hand side, just after Mbargo, before Crusoes.
Kuta is getting a major injection of new clubs at the moment...

ViAiPi - will be a huge club/lounge bar on the old Paddys site next to the the Monument and next door to Skygarden/ESC
Skygarden - These guys have done a deal with My Room and are building a connecting piece between the two venues to bring in both crowds.
Next to the 24hr convenience store. - Being built at the moment is a new club which will be basically across the road from Bounty and Paddys, this club is owned by the same people as Mbargo, Bounty, Double 66 etc. it look s to be a good venue but no name yet... more as I find out.
As to the girl scene, isnt it always the way that when you are off the market all the honeys suddenly appear. I am seeing more and more good looking girls out and about and if you are looking for company in Bali, you would have to be the Elephant man to not score. I even have girls approaching me when I am walking with my GF...

The X houses in Sanur, Bali are easier to find than I had thought, given what I had read earlier on ISG. I visited 4 different X houses, none of them were dumps, and 3 of the 4 featured mainly young girls (early 20s).
There are two main north-south roads in Sanur, Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai which is the main multi-lane road that carries most of the through traffic, and a narrower one-lane-in-each-direction road (Jalan Danau Poso which becomes Jalan Danau Tamblingan) which forks off of the main road at the southern end of Sanur, and then essentially runs parallel to the main road, just off of the beach. Most of the X houses were on Jalan Danau Poso.
Summary of my visit here:
I had a taxi drive me around to three different places, # 67x and # 29x on Jalan Danau Poso, and “Dian Ayu” off of the main road. In each place, I decided to not take a girl at that time, and ended up having the taxi drop me off at the On-On Bar. I had a beer at the bar, then walked back up the road, ending up having a decent session at # 67x. While walking up the road, I walked past # 29x and discovered # 101x on my own.
My decent session at # 67x was with Icha, 20 years old, very pretty face, a bit shy, much larger than normal breasts (firm/no kids), not GFE, decent BJ skills, tight, had only worked there a short while, from Bandung in West Java. 200,000 rupiah plus a 50,000 rupiah tip.
A quick overview:
If you’re coming from town/the main road, turn onto Jalan Danau Poso, which becomes the parallel beach road. Within 2 minutes drive time, there are at least three decent X houses, all on the left hand side, and all within a 5 minute walk of each other. Here are the landmarks, with the Tessar Shop as an easy starting point and the On-On Bar as an end point:
Tessar – a cell phone store with a large banner picture of an attractive girl
“Circle K” store, with a sign for “Rezki Massage” by the road
# 67x is right down the alley to the left of the Circle K store. I visited here twice, for both visits I sat down outside in the courtyard and within less than one minute 5 girls appeared in a line-up, all early 20s and attractive. The price quoted was 300,000 rupiah when the taxi brought me there, then later on the price was only 200,000 rupiah when I walked in on my own. Rooms are in villas around the courtyard, fairly new and very clean. I ended up having a session here (see above).
# 29x, there’s a lit-up black and white sign at beginning of alley. Once you go down the alley, there’s an open large pavilion-type room, with one meter tall walls and then straw mats hanging down from the ceiling to block the view from outsiders until you walk behind the mats. The room is a open-fish-bowl set-up with at least 20 girls sitting around, most appeared to be in early 20s. The price quoted was 300,000 rupiah when I arrived with a taxi, I did not stay.
# 101x, the entrance is directly on the roadside, with 15/20 girls right inside in the front yard and front room. A couple of girls were standing at the front door and it was obvious what was going on here. This place is directly across from the Orange Mini-Mart convenience store. The price quoted was 250,000 rupiah when I walked in on my own, I did not stay as I was heading over to # 67x, but this place would have been my second choice in case # 67x didn’t work out.
On-On Bar, a low key, neighborhood bar with pool tables, cute bar girl employees, a couple of free-lance hookers in their 30s dressed in black, most customers are European or Aussie men.
Here’s the trick on getting the best house price:
I learned that the rate quoted will be lower if you walk in rather than if a taxi brings you in. For example, at # 67x, I was quoted 300,000 rupiah when I came with a taxi. When I returned later, walking in, the rate had dropped to 200,000 rupiah. So, I recommend that you take a taxi to either the On-On Bar or the Orange Mini-Mart, then make your way on foot to the three places.
”Dian Ayu” I also was taken by the taxi driver to a 4th place which was off the main north-south road (rather than the parallel beach road). It is known as “Dian Ayu” and had at least 20 girls, all of whom appeared to be over 30 years old, many with “visible mileage” on their faces and bodies. Not surprisingly, these girls were the most aggressive. After I saw the line-up and said I’d leave, some of the girls came up to me to flirt with me and grab my crotch, etc. Although there were one or two decent choices here, I personally would not return here, no point in doing so when the other 3 places all have lots of younger, prettier girls to choose from.

i'm not surprised to read that there are more x houses in the area, and i'll try to explore them the next time that i'm in bali. it's interesting to see such activity in the area, as i was staying at the bali hyatt sanur (walking distance from the on-on bar) and had passed by on this road several times during the day without knowing that this is the neighborhood of the x houses; the neighborhood looks like a regular indonesian neighborhood and does not look "sleazy" in the manner of, say, the streets with mps in kota-jakarta.
Great report MS. On On the Hash HQ is a great place to waste a few Hrs on the pool tables and watch the girls pass by.

It's the same as in western countries, when the numbers along a street are already laid out. A new house built between house number 49 and 51 will be numbered 49a. In Bali, they would call it 49x.
By the way, I accidentally found another way to establish the minimum price. I had 110.000 rupiah in my pocket, really. They told me to come back with at least 130.000 rupiah. That was in Sanur, June 2007. I don't think prices really have risen, different people will always get different prices depending on knowledge and negotiation skills, it was always thus.

- or allow a taxi man his commission just once. you could even say no at the first few addresses to get a tactical overview and let him really earn the commission. even if you took none, give the man 50.000 rupiah (5$) tip for the valuable info you got, the man has kids to feed and is working hard to scrape by and gave you something you needed, fair enough.
better still, be honest up front and tell him you just want the overview and will pay him 50.000 on top of the meter price for a comfortably seated guided tour. be sure the meter is on though.
- or, to get you started: walk south along the very long street parallel to the beach with all the cafe's and restaurants. at the south side junction with several streets gathering, turn sharp right. keep looking right until after ca. 100 meters you see some nice clean inviting smiles.

You will find that most places will have girls coming and going on the back of motorbikes, apart from that if they see you walking past by yourself, someone will notice you and ask you to come and look.

Anytime of the day or night is ok, but the peak is after 18.00/19.00 on weekdays and around 21.00 on weekends.

When I was in Bali in October last year I met Iluh, who worked at Dianita on Jl Patimura.
She had a fantastic body which I enjoyed many times over the week I was in Kuta.
Does the Dianita still exist, and I wonder if Iluh still works there....

Right. It's the same as in western countries, when the numbers along a street are already laid out. A new house built between house number 49 and 51 will be numbered 49a. In Bali, they would call it 49x.
It's even more weird than you mention. In streets previously sparsely built up which have not been subdivided into plots, the first house built will be number 1, the second house to be built will be number 2.
Doesn't matter if they are separated by 100 metres or on the same side.
Gets crazier, as every subsequent house gets built, it takes the next available number, so after a period of time, you can get number 44 next to number 1, which is next to 17, next to 6, next to 31 and so on.
And then there are the X's just to make it interesting.

There is a Jl Patimura in Denpasar where the 911 Dental Clinic is, but I don't think that is it.
There is a small lane off Jl Legian called Patimura, which is far more likely.
It is past the Sol Inn Legian hotel & Mama Lucia's restaurant. It is the first lane to the left, following the Go-Kart sign. The Bali Legian Church is in this lane.
