Infamous.
In Legian, I suggest the Puri wisata hotel. it is on the corner of Jl 66, and Jl Legian. standard room is 250,000 Rps inc breakfast. Nice staff, good pool, and even though you can't be within walking distance of everything, a taxi anywhere you want to go in this area will be less than 2.00 USD.
It is kind of a family place, with probably 30 rooms. Much nicer than a huge resort with the huge mamas and their army of kids splashing about.

PS. that is an "under the table" rate. If you call them, tell them you have friends who have stayed there, and told you the price, I am pretty sure they will go for it.
I really would stay away from kuta. It is awful, the traffice is ridiculous, and there are just soooooooooooo many people.

I found a pretty good place called Pelangi Bar, Lounge and Spa. Thanks to the blog at www indoholiday com (more interesting info on that blog too)
This place is located near the Airport, ON the By Pass road to Nusa Dua/Uluwatu. Continue from the Airport interscetion exactly 600 meters on the By Pass Rd! This place comes up pretty fast on your lefthand side. You'll see a orange flip flop light. There are parking behind the place.
The Setup is more or less as follows. You enter a badly lit "lounge" where the papasan will ask you to take a seat. I was shown a lineup of 6-8 young girls (20-25 i would guess). I choose a tall leggy girl (22yr) and paid 400' rb at the cashier and off we went to the "spa" downstairs for some fun. Well it's not much of a spa but the rooms have shower and door with lock and good sized bed. It was clean and fresh. Better standard than Kuta Timur Resort and Grahadi.

Hi all,
The google map didn't turn out as I planned. :(
The problem is as follows:
1. The map can't be edited and updated by anyone as I thought from the begining.
2. To be able to update the map you need an invitation.
3. As im just a once a year tourist I won't have enough insight in to the changes and additions during the year. The map would benefit from a local editor. Does anyone hear the "calling" to continue what I started? Send me a tell

I think I found a way for this map to work for everyone.:)
For those members with a gmail account can simply save the map as their own. From there it's quite simple to edit the info already there and add new markers to the map. Any info updated will be visible for everyone. Fantastic!
For those who don't have a gmail account its a simple process to create a "spare-account" It takes maximum 5 minutes to complete.
Hopefully there are more members out there keen on the idea.:) and that will help make this Bali map become as good as (or even better!!) the Bangkok map that can be found in the Bangkok forum.

Having read so much about the Nusa Dua brothels I decided to pay the place a visit with my mongering pal Phantomtiger today. We each had motobikes so not a problem for us.
The travel directions posted before to get here are very good and accurate. The only thing I can add is that coming from Kuta or Sanur on the Bypass road, the big Yamaha sign will be on your right. Once you pass the sign you need to make an immediate U-turn, there will be a U-turn access on your right about 100m past the Yamaha sign. Having made the U-turn, immediately go to the left lane and proceed uphill on the small st just before the Yamaha sign. Note: if you reach the sign itself then you have gone too far as the brothels are on the street just BEFORE the sign.
We entered several of The brothels and they are in dreadful conditions, full of garbage and funky smell. Don't think sanitation is on the top of the list. To my surprise PhantomTiger can speak a little of the local lingo so I let PT negotiate for the 2 of us as he speaks a little bit of Indo (he said he practiced very basic stuff like numbers, hello, too expensive etc.)
Not sure how many houses are open at night but during the daytime when we were there, 6 houses were open. Saw about 10 ladies here and only 1 was doable in my eyes, the rest were just plain ugly or very much out of shape. PT tried to negotiate a good price for me for the doable one but after a few minutes he pointed to our bikes and said to get the hell out of here.

He told me later that he knew exactly how much the going rate for the locals for using the ND brothels. Since he had arrived 1 day earlier than me in Bali he was able to recon areas and ask many questions with the locals who he had befriended (with drinks and food).
He told me some of the locals had tried the ND houses before but many don't go here as even they don't like to travel so far for sex when other places are available closer to their home. I have to agree here as we were both staying in Semimyak that it took us about 45min each way to get there.
PT said that locals going there only pay $3 for a quick bonk and max of $5 for the occasional above avg looker and they don't pay tips. He said locals who want to use condoms should bring their own or lady will charge 5000r for a condom. Many locals who go here do the deed raw and do not use condoms at all to save the 5000r.

If you're not an "insider", then you pay a premium.
Again - your dick . . . your money . . . your decision - so you can't make a wrong choice when you are on a pussy-pounding pursuit of a holiday. But still, unless $10 or $15 is a seriously big amount of money for your budget, it seems like self-punishment to walk away from pussy hot enough to negotiate for over only that price-difference. Yesterday (Thursday) night I found myself near Kuta Bugar and went in.

Ok, guys let me jump in on this discussion since it was my idea to come here and not Sharks.

3) the day was still early afternoon so not really leaving empty handed at the flea pits as we were just examining the goods early on and still have plenty of time to get a few beers, wait for late afternoon/early evening then really going out hunting. Lets just say its like going to a store early, not finding anything you like at a reasonable price and spending the exact same money elsewhere for much better goods at another store. It would've been nice to get some early but, Remember, you don't have to always buy at the 1st store you see.
4) As for the money issue, its not the matter of the price being $15 or $20, its the matter of overinflated prices in a place that 's only worth a few bucks at best. It's the principle of what you are getting for your money, I'm certainly not going to spend top dollar-(in Indo prices) for an avg looker in a dumpster house. Again, remember I'm a veteran of Cambodia for many years and I'm no stranger to all the foul smelling dirty bed sheets and believe me even when I know I can't get local cheap prices, I would never pay more than 50% or at most 100% (or double the going rate). Anything over double the going rate is a rip off -IMO, but at least in Cambo, if I'm spending $3-5 for a f**k, at least I know what I'm getting.
3) I do agree, we sometimes have to pay a Premium, but a premium don't have to mean overpaying by several times the rate for low end goods in a dump.
But I know for the same rates they were charging I was going to have better time later. I would only be tempted to take one at the flea pit if I thought this was the ONLY game in town, but I knew this was not the case.
4) Don't worry, for the price of the flea pits, we got gals not much later that day for the same prices ($15-20) that were 2x slimmer, and many times cuter than any found at the flea pit (including the only "doable one" that Shark had consider doing), but remember this, when you line up the "doable one" next to all the ugly/ fat ones at the flea pit- she somehow looked much better than she should, but even Shark said later when you put the doable one next to all the showroom/ fishbowl young asses we saw later-it was no comparison.
5) Shark had mentioned I had gotten some insight from a local I met at my beachhouse a day earlier. He was shocked with ?????? looks on his face when I told him outsiders had taken gals at the ND flea pits. He couldn't image why as he knew foreigners were going to get ripped off here and that's only if we were even welcome to these places. 6)Now a word of caution; This local I met lives nearby in Denpensar and he said there are many local brothels that cater strictly to local men only and we are NOT welcome at these places. Also, some of these places are guarded/ looked over by thugs and you could be in serious trouble if you even accidently venture into them. He said he and his local friends generally pay $3-4 on avg for a bonk. The gals at these places also give the local men raw sex as the men don't like paying extra for the condoms.
In conclusion, Nusa Dua was interesting and worth a look if you happen to be on the way to the beaches here but for the prices they charge, its a better deal elsewhere.

As stated, you pay the papa upfront when you choose the gal you like. Ask the papa to translate to gal (often don't speak much english) what you expect. Spot on the money. Everyone should memorize this as Shark and I also never paid more than 150k at ANY X -Houses we visited. They ask more and don't give in, then we just start our motos and bike across the street to the next X-house.
Remember: Even if you don't motobike yourself, DON'T ever go to any of these places with a local driver. A commission is always given to them and you will never get the low prices. Just check Barri's maps for the location of nearest landmark and have driver drop you off there and often its only a 5-7min walk to the X-house of your desire.
Tipping: please guys, don't over tip the gals. Remember its only ST at these places and 50k is the max tip for great service. 50k=That's the tips I expect to pay then Tips are then scaled downward for any dissatisfaction. Ex: if you want to Daty but she refuses, then minus 30k, if BJ was too short even when you want more, then another minus 20k etc etc.

Hmm, sounds interesting but even though I've done many gals in tin roof huts during my mongering times I still have some minimal standards, such as at least having a roof over my head as I'm doing the deed. provided you don't think that simpang siur (aka the circle of confusion) on the bypass is too far from denpasar (all of 20 minutes by bike) you could try kuta bugar on jalan setiabudhi, which is the road that runs from simpang siur over to iman bonjol.

Just a couple of remarks regarding the discussions about the X houses:
As a matter of fact I d i d go away when the papa in 3B asked for 300 000. I expected, or at least hoped, that he should call me back but he did not. So evidently he had decided that bules should pay 300 000.
Then I went to 66X and 18. A man called Rio wanted 300 but I negotiated down to 250. When I paid to his partner Rio got a guilty expression in his face when his partner realized that he had agreed on 250 and not 300. Maybe I have spoilt the market but I will do better next time.
About girls with bad attitude and not giving the service you want, etc. After reading some posts here I decided not to go strictly for the prettiest girl. Instead I choose one of the girls that was most eager to get me as customer. Both the expression in her face and her body language screemed "pick me, pick me!" And that was a good move. The girl had a good attitude and gave me a really good fuck. This strategy worked well in Singapore, too.
Your initial offer of 300k was in line with what was 1st offered to Sharka and I.
This was about the price in almost every X-hse we came across. What Sharka said in the post below is also true, you will get less hassle with prices when you can go with at least another monger (the more the better). Remember the old saying:

If all else fails, then move on as you do not want to give in if prices are too high and drive up the market.
Remember, even with a wingman by my side, Sharka and I were not always successful 100% at some of the X-hses, so rather than give in and drive up prices, we simply moved on to another place.

Not sure if you're here on holiday or not, but i live here and have never paid more than 150,000. (plus tip) I do speak a little it of the language and throw out some bahasa before things get started, so they know I'm not an easy mark. I also start by telling them how much I'm willing to pay and that I've already paid it 'there', if I have or have not. "sudah" is the local word for already. Once they start at a high price, they cannot loose face by lowering it too much. That said and done, I've had crazy prices offered to me as well and had to walk away on more than one occasion. The average wage here is about 600,000-1,000,000 rups, so keep in mind what you think is a good price and what it should be had for.

I nearly missed it, so here some more details on how to find it: After the 600 m there is a row of shops/houses set back on the left. The spa is not in that row. But at the end of the row there is a big red travel agent sign with a plane on it. (I didn't see any flashing yellow lights, perhaps they only come on after dark and it was 3. 30 when I got there.) Right after that sign there is a lots of big trees, but also a wide entry and you see a house in the back with a big glass front, but it looks like nothing much, looks empty and deserted, partly hidden by the big trees. But there is a little sign saying "Pelangi" pointing to the parking lot behind the house. Other than that, there is a big sign as well, but it is under a roof and partly overgrown, so not easy to see either.

From my conversation with the local guy I befriended recently, the gal gets a fixed amount of money for each guy. Don't know what the amount is though as I forgot to ask, but I know it can't be that much (maybe 50k-70k at most)as it's the pimps that have the main overhead cost. So, remember that when all you mongers overpay the standard rates, all that "extra money" will NEVER make it to the gals purse no matter how good she is, it will only go directly into the greedy/do nothing pimp's pockets.
So, the answer is yes, if some idiot pays 500,000r then the pimp may pocket 450,000r and the gal may get 50k and the gal can't demand more as the pimps will never tell her how much someone paid for her and I have a feeling the gals are not even allow to ask that question. All she could demand is more tips from you.

I think you may have this a little mixed up. Sanur is not Kuta.
The original question was about the X places in Sanur, but your post is on Kuta and with a FL at your hotel. The 2 places and prices can't be compared as the same as Kuta prices are much higher as the tourist ratio is also much higher there and the ladies can command more money. The Sanur X houses operate more like a brothel and therefore the ladies get much less from the pimps.

The first sign of something not being right was when I got a whole lot of emails before I had sent payment, and then nothing after.
I was told to be met by two girls and the hostess (that I had been emailing with) but only one girl and a driver showed up.
I guess I made things somewhat frustrating for them when I missed my final flight to Bali. Anyway, I did call about the flight issue. Upon arrival I was met by an additional bill. Though not large, the explanation about currency conversion issues was iffy, to say at least.
The deal was to stay in a villa, with pool and pool parties where I would be able to choose a new girl for each night of stay. The villa and pool were nice enough, but I never saw anything to the promised parties. Though the villa was not exactly a wreck, it was not exactly like the description in the emails I got.
The food available was ok, but not at all what was expected for the price. The drinks provided was according to my requests, but the fridge was never topped up, again not expected for the price.
The first night was actually, though that was only due to the fact I must have been very lucky with the only girl they could find for the night. It was apparently, the first, and last, time she worked for them. I stupidly demanded to choose another girl, according to the contract. Instead of the promised pool party, I was driven to a rather dingy room in town. For the selection, they must have worked hard to get the worst looking girls on Bali.
The other girl I finally chose, though supposedly hired for 24 hours, was told that she was only paid for 12. She was a disaster anyway.
Luckily, after a rather sorry night, I did manage to negotiate another night's stay with the original girl, though she only accepted after a hefty tip, understandingly, considering she was told nothing about the change of girl option. I was later told that she was offered to be paid not nearly as much as she was promised. After a lot of calls and arguing, I think they actually refused to pay her anything. So considering all this, the tip I payed was about the only payment in this whole sorry story that was actually worth it. Her English was also excellent, and that helped me out a lot.
The driver mentioned actually did work out as rather ok tour guide and with the girl translating, all wasn't bad. His English was not according to the advert.
Oh, the villa was cockroach infested, I found out the last morning.
Also, the amount of spam I have received went up considerably after contacting them.
The good part of the story, though, was the original girl they had found for me. She gave me a fabulous GFE and was great in bed as well. Her perfect performance also continued for the last part of the stay. I wished I would be able to point you to her, considering she is freelancing, by mentioning her first name or whatever, but she refused.

hi all. after spending two nights in bali, here are my findings.
hotels:
during my short trip, i've stayed at two different hotels:
green garden spa and resort (note that there is another hotel called green garden hotel. not a resort. it might be confusing to taxi drivers as well. so always say the full name). it was ok. i've booked via agoda for $55 including taxes and breakfast. rooms are fine, clean, basic ameneties are available. swimming pool is nice. for what i paid, i think it is a good place overall. has a renowned spa as i have heared (didn't try it thought)
oasis hotel: similar rate, but closer to the action (about 300 meters to many clubs including hard rock). rooms are fine. not as clean as the first hotel, toilet a bit small and dark. same goes for the shower area (separate!). i booked directly from hotel. i asked a travel agent before hand and then found out the rate is similar. so i saved myself the trouble of driving to the airport to get a voucher from the hotel agent. i wouldn't recommend this hotel as much as the first one albeit the garden is about 2 km to the main nightlife area. (a bit dodgy massage place in there).
massage, i tried the infamous kura bugar. it goes like this. you come up to the counter, and they guide you to the room where all the girls are sitting (i arrived around 2pm and there were about 12 girls available) once you select your lady, you pay up front. i was asked to pay 250k. but settled for 200k. during the massage and the usual touching, the girl ask you for tips to do the extra. i asked for sex. she said no. can't do it here. didn't insists as i was not really interested. just wanted to try (grin). i settled for a bj for a 150k extra. it was nice overall as the girl was a bit enthusiastic and took off all her clothes. by the way, it was a private room with shower facility. cleaner than i expected i must say. Just returned from Bali earlier this week. I read the report of distinction on Bali and generally agreed with everything stated. Did not go into Kuta as I heard from a variety of sources that it was not worth the effort. This also applies to Hard Rock Cafe at least according to my sources. I stayed in Legian/Seminyak area also known as Double 6 at a great hotel called Kumala Pantai. Reasonable rates for a very nice room, great breakfast, beautiful grounds, and 2 pools for $55 per nite, non-high season.
It was near several discos and bars mentioned in other reports including Deja Vu, which has the nitelife of a firefly. Gets going, if it gets going at all, around 1am and peters out around 3am. Down the street is Loca Vida, a small club where the ho's seem to hang out in profusion. One night I decided to go there and hung out nearby to about 12:15 am and no one was in there. Went to a *****house in Sanur on the flip side of the peninsula and when I returned at around 3am the place was jumping. They stay open until 6am. I was told that the going rate for all night was around $35 though they start higher so remember to negotiate, however, the quality was mediocre. The few hot ones appeared to be already taken and I am not sure if this occurred here or if they were brought to the bar by their new girlfriends. Also, close by is Double 6, which has the same absurd hours. Never really saw it busy and had several offers from jerkoffs to buy drugs. Don't ever consider this as it could be a setup! Bacio Club always seemed dead too. Great report. I am quite familar with the bar Loca Vida which was quite close to the hotel where I stayed (Kumala Pantai). I was there several weeks ago and on occasion went to this bar, which is basically nearly all wg's with the possible exception of a few touristas who randomly stumble in. I never noticed much quality at the bar and did not take any out though I was told by a taxi driver that the rate was $35 or so for all night, the price declining as the evening wore on.
Since you met this girl at 6:30am, then it stands to reason that the price you paid was about right. I should note that this is one of the few bars (including the double 6 disco) that stays open until that time in the morning. I also got up that time in the morning from time to time to take a walk on the beach and it never occurred to me to walk near the bar so next time I will have to remember. I had similar experiences when I use to stay in LOS. Gals are different but the themes the same. Been to both and well, can't really compare the 2 places as they are as different as you can imagine. It's like trying to compare the city of Bangkok to the beaches of Pattaya in LOS.
Both have their attractions and I feel both are worth visiting so up to you if you like laid back beach resorts or the busy rush of a major city and definitely more gals to choose from in a major city. So, if you don't have time for both, perhaps you should do 1 location now and then plan a return to Indo to Jakarta later (or vis versa)

Hi 1Ball, I just googled Bali Escorts and got a few different ones. Bali Escorts comes up first but I would avoid them. If your friend is serious about doing escorts then they really have to be careful how they advertise otherwise heaps of trouble.
Even with a website, if they nudity the authorities will come down on them really quickly and it wont be pretty. I have a business contact who runs about a dozen escort agencies out of sydney who looked seriously at starting one here and then abandoned the idea as he saw the many problems involved. I normally post under "Drunker Irish" on the usa board and follow this board. My first trip to Bali and I've poured over this forum for a couple hours and found the maps on Sanur and have some ideas on pricing.
I'm staying at the Hyatt and will be at the convention center during the week.
My question is will I be able to find anything at the Hyatt Hotel or on the beach? It seems like more of a couples hotel or family hotel than a mongering hotel.
Anything 'easy' for my first day after a long flight and jet lag? Frequent travellers know what I mean.
If I can check out anything for folks, let me know and I can 'RTFF'.
Since I dont know the area, and not sure I want to be zipping around on a scooter (I did this in Amsterdam, quite safe, quite, fun and easy beause Holland is built for bicycles). Sounds like my best bet is to just cab it.

Well unlikely you will score at the hotel but anything is possible. Exit the Hyatt, turn left, walk for 5 minutes and you will get to an intersection with a Statue in middle of road. Follow main road to right and in 2 minutes you will be at Angels bar and On On bar. You get a FL in On On but have a couple of beers and then continue another 100 meters where you have House 11X on the right. Just ask the helpful chaps there to get you want you want. Do it there or organise to take girl back to the Hotel, will cost a bit more thats all. Look forward to your reports.

Hyatt hotel is not what I call a mongering paradise. Mostly couples and some families stay here and so not too many ladies will ply their trade around here.
As C.Hound posted below, going to some of the X-houses is your best and easiest bet. You are not too far away from them from Hyatt so walking is ok, but if you wish to explore more of the area, suggest you rent a motobike to make it easier and faster between X-hse, also Sanur itself is not that big of a place. If you rode around for about an 1 or-2, you'll quickly get to know all of Sanur and not easy to get lost as there is really 2 main rds that parallel the beach. Also, traffic is light in Sanur. Now, if you plan to spend any time in Kuta and plan to ride there, then thats a whole different story (good luck with the traffic).

SharkThanks, and I did read the posts fairly far back and learned the trick of picking a spot before the x-house and then walking-good advice.
My problem is that once I arrive, it takes a few days to figure everything out-which turns out fairly easy, but then its time to go once you get it figured out. Then I rarely go back to the same destination, as my travel gets me out to different countries, but rarely the same place within a year. I do know Brussels and Amsterdam really well, though, as those are hubs for me. I never have figured out Paris, even though I've been there many times. Pigalle, not much and Denis Street only had old hags. I didn't have a car, so couldn't figure out the 'car stall' places.
Anyway, these forums are pretty decent, and so far this is the best information I have received to date.

Arrived and had been booked by my company in Nusa Dua. Not exactly close to action.

When you check in ask for the name of the hotel GM. If anyone harasses you, ask them to call Mr. Immediately as you are embarassed and humiliated that someone should think your wife is a hooker and will move your companies valuable business to a hotel that repects its guests and their spouses. They will always back down. Its a great game!

Wow, how did I miss that "little" detail as I was reading along and figure everything was ok so I didn't need to reply.
But now it's a whole different story as I also assume you were staying near the hotel near the X-houses in Sanur.
The difference is major. The 2 hotels are miles apart (don't have a map in front of me but I estimate your hotel to be almost 8-9 miles (not km) away from the closest X house. And sometimes there is major traffic jams getting to Sanur from Nusa as this is the only major rd and it also passes by the airport, I should know as Sharka and I have travel this route often and have been stuck in traffic often--especially around rush hours.
For your 1st day there, suggest forget about renting motobike as you can easily get lost trying to find the X houses, best to take a taxi and have them drop you off at either the Hyatt in Sanur and then follow the directions everyone has given you or even better to have them drop you off in front of ON ON bar--(reason I mention the Hyatt hotel is because all drivers will know this place and a few may not know about On On bar). This way you could stop and relax for a cheap beer before walking 5min to the nearest X place.

PT have taught me well enough NOT to flame anyone as he often reminded me it wasn't that long ago when I was a newbie here and sometimes I had questions and got "unfriendly" replies that almost made me quit this forum.
I also must apologize for not catching the fact that you could be staying at the Hyatt in a different location. If you are in Nusa Dua, then I have to agree with Phantom that your 1st outing should be by taxi as its a long ways off if this is your 1st time there. But, there is only 1 major rd from ND to Sanur so if you bring a good map and follow along with the taxi directions then by day 2 it should be ok to rent a bike and strike out on your own. Just remember the statues at the big traffic circles and which direction to turn and most of your direction problems are solved.

There are several "fishbowl style" places at the x-places locations but unsure if the ladies are allow to be taken as far away as ND. It's never a problem if the ladies are kept locally at the Hyatt in Sanur.
I suggest talking to the pappasan/pimp (regardless of whether its a local X-hse with one lady or a fishbowl) and taking the girl out overnite (LT) so no time limit (usual limit is about 2hrs for ST). Will cost more but should still be about $75 LT.--note-don't know the exact LT rate as I had never negotiated for this when I was there. I was always happier with several ST than with 1 LT.

The difference is major. The 2 hotels are miles apart (don't have a map in front of me but I estimate your hotel to be almost 8-9 miles (not km) away from the closest X house.

Sorry PT, think you underestimated the mileage a bit, as you forgot that we did the Hyatt to Hyatt hotel run once and from what I remember looking at the odometer upon arrival, it was more like 24km or 14miles door to door.
Without traffic or light traffic, trip by taxi will take about 30-35min, with traffic, forget about it as a taxi will have to just sit there but with a motobike, you can still squeeze along on the side shoulder and move slowly.

I remember the guy told me it would be about $60 (with the dollar conversion at that time). I didn't push the issue any further as I was not really interested in LT, but keep in mind 2 factors:
1) if the initial offer to me was $60 without even any negotiation on my part, then I feel the amount could be pushed lower with some haggling and time.
2) this initial lower price could also be a factor as I was a repeat and reliable customer.

Yes, I agree with that. I would argue that the difference in the Philippines and Indonesia (and Vietnam) isn't the moral code, but rather our appeal. In the west, most mongers are average older citizens, totally unappealing to your typical western younger lady. I'm bumping this to the top, so newbiew don't have to go to pages 15/16 (as of today) to get the info.
A bit of a cocky title but I think I've got most things sorted out. The new map (based on Google map) is more detailed, more correct and with better resolution. All venues marked on the map have been verified that they exist. Venues found in other reports that I not have been able to localize I have omitted.
For this project I deployed a new strategy:
1. Only went for ST (but took the girl's mobile number if she seemed fit for LT).
2. I never took a taxi direct to a venue: either drove my car, walked or took a taxi to the nearest Landmark and walked from there.
3. Never asked for the cost: just handed over 200 000 rp to the papasan. It worked everywhere except in three places:
A. Sukun Bali Cottages, where the papasan told me before I asked that the room was 100 000, the girl 300 000. He went down to 50 000 for a fan room and 200 000 for the girl.
B. 99X, where the papasan told me before I asked that the room was 500 000. He went down to 200 000 and I understood later the he meant another 200 000 for the girl. The girl he fetched turned out to be a repeat of bad performing girl so I cut my losses and left.
C. 05X on Tirta Ening. The mamasan wanted 300 000 but I offered 150 000. She accepted as I started to leave. I really hesitated, but decided to 'take one for the boys'.
When I was younger I didn't do ST because it always became extremely short. This time I did two ST each evening, and I think my body sometimes was confused whether the first one really was the first one or actually the third the same day. So at several occasions I did the full hour, and most of these girls started to complain after 45 minutes. Only a few troopers made the distance with joy and even kissed me sweetly goodbye as we parted.

First off, Nasa Dua is not set up for mongering at all. A lot of security for the hotel. The hotel Grand Hyatt in particular has very high security. I have to walk through a medical detector everytime I go through the front entrance as an example. This is rather silly as you can come from the beach or be let off before the main entrance and still gain access to the hotel. So I am not sure the purpsoe of this security.
Secodn, please feel free to flame the newbie, but I was short for time. I had an unexpected business lunch, that ran long and had to be back for an early business dinner. Wasn't sure of my schedule for the rest of the week. So with that excuse out of the way, here is my report and you can flame me for the price.
Took a taxi from Nusa Dua to Sanura. The cost is roughly $12 bucks. I paid! 100, 000 rpg(sp?). So there and back about $25 (I had the driver take me around so slightly more).
Went to 79X and that was really sketchy. Wish I had printed out the map that I reposted with the reports, so knew that it was an ok place. Driving down an alley off the beaten path and then seeing a bunch of guys standing around-my monger radar went off the scale. Didn't go in, nothing to report. There were a few cute girls standing outside, though.
Next went to Barokah Hotel. Not what I expeced, but it worked out. I should have gone at night. I arrived at around 2:30 pm, not a girl in sight. Bar was empty, little did I realize that nothing really opens until the evening. I thought it woudl be like Amsterdam, with girls out 24/7. Not the case, necessarily.
Mas (I liked this guy's attitude and demeanor, laid back, younger guy, reminded me of myself, decent english) told me to wait five minutes. I waited in the bar area-which probably looks 100x times better in the dark with lights on and music.

Maybe the music is blaring and you can see the lights from the street, but in the daytime-no way! Probably because they are closed, and look NOTHING like a brothel in the broad daylight.
I went to another 'fish bowl' type place, 89x, and the girls that were out, nothing spectacular. They looked bored and were playing cards outside, nobody in the 'fishbowl'.
So, ok first experience. Obviously can do a lot better if I wasn't here for work and had all day to wander around and get acclimated.
As I said before, for the guy just flying in first day for a business trip, its difficult getting your bearings. I find its best to just pay, take a tour by tour bus or cab, get acclimated, and the go from there. I was a bit disappointed, because I thought the 'fish bowls' would be like a building, like a club, and the girls would be inside all lined up like you see in the pictures for phat pong (sp?).

Having a laugh reading your posts here and from someone who lives in Bali I give you the run down.
There are 4 types of girls in Bali, locals born there, ones that come from other places in Indonesia to work in normal jobs, tourists and butterflys.

BarriCab Driver took me on a tour of what he knew. Did I type 79x? I believe it was 70x, can't read my own writing. I think 70x was the hotel and 68 x or something was the place with the girls, it was waaaaay back in an alley off the beaten path.
I wrote down 89x as that is what it said on the wall. There was a white sign, but I have no idea what that was. The 89x was a fishbowl about the size of Barokah, but a little bit smaller, but not by much. It might have been 89, as I saw that, but asked the cab driver and he said 89x. Which seemed like there was two of them, but maybe I got turned around-but definately 89x.

I know they are there somewhere as I have seen in the photo posts daylight outside:) Looking for LT and GFE, as well as ST experiences.
I will be in Kuta area and although I know Sanur is the most popular spot, I do want to stay on the western side where possible close to my hotel.
Anyway, thanks in advance if anyone can help out or point me to a post and I hope to report my exploits from my perspective soon.

Yup, in a way, you had no choice but to pay a much higher price than the norm as from many previous post (including mine) you have to pay the dreaded taxi commission, so your assumption is correct that the pimp and driver "had an understanding" about his fat finder's fee.

I rode around abit when I was there and to tell you the truth, I didn't find anything within the security zone of ND resort area that had anything that looked even remotely like a mongering hole. I can't say much about the area just outside of the security zone of ND as I didn't venture around there much. The only thing of certain is the dreaded flea pit just outside of ND.

Just to clarify, most fishbowl /showcase places are not open during the daytime-early afternoon, seem to open starting about 4-5pm, but some of the X-houses where they import the ladies in one by one for you are open during the day, but you have to wait 10min for them to deliver each lady for inspection.

checked out grahada bali. wow, stunning girls and i got there late, about 10:00 pm, but even what was 'left' was very nice. i asked for overnight, but they weren't offering it at that time, they said st $140 us (3 hours) to come to my hotel. its within walking distance of the bali galleria. as you exit the mall, just turn left and walk down the path. its the first building on your left that says fun zone, or something. there is a gate and you can walk in through either door, one in front and one to the side. i didn't ask what karaoke prices in house were, though.
i think i'll stop in during the day and see how it goes. this works because you can take a cab to the mall and get dropped off, without the worry about the inflated prices of the taxi driver's cut.
there is another place coming back that my cabbie drove me. i forget the bali name but it said "dana" in a small lit up white sign. its a pretty big two story place with a bunch of guys standing out front felt a bit 'shady', like a mob hangout, but it wasn't. walked in very very dark, could barely make out what the girls looked like. the shapes were pretty nice, though. quoted $100 for a 'pop' and $200 to take a girl home for the night-talk about a major difference in price/value. however, this was with the cabbie following me inside, which ticked me off, but guess i should have expected it. thought long and hard about taking a girl home, she looked pretty good, and $200 for 10 plus hours, sounded pretty good, but by that time wasn't in the mood for it and i was just scouting things out anyways.
at grahada, i think the price was the price because the cabbie didn't follow-me in. well, actually he did, but he didn't get to me before the pricing started. day prices don't seem to be too bad, based on their website.
will have to think about my strategy.
so, it looks like flea market is the bottom end, then there was another place mentioned by my cabbie, but i don't remember it, then sanur x houses, then brokah (or whatever the name of the place is, i wrote it in a post below), then "dana" or maybe it was "palanga club" or something halfway between sanura and nusa dua, then grahadi as far as quality of my reconaissance.

sanur, x houses from 200-300, 000 it sounds like ($20 to $30), and for taxi ride there; 650, 000 plus cab fare from nusa dua and the 'taxi' rate of everybody getting their cut. so about $85 bucks there and back. rooms are meh, think of a dirty tempurpedic mattress, concrete floor with dangling fluorescent bulb, and hose bath and a couple towels thrown on top of the mattress.
palanga club or whatever, didn't get to see the rooms, but don't think they are much better. think back street bar in michigan with wooden floors and big dance floor in pretty much pitch blackness and a bunch of thug security standing out front giving you the cheshire grin.
grahadi seems to be my speed and comfort level, seemed pretty straightforward and professional.
the girl i was going to snag got picked up by a bunch of japanese tourists behind me, so you snooze you lose.
hope that was somewhat helpful to those visiting.
you can get a girl into the hyatt, by just getting dropped off before the lobby. just have the taxi driver make a hard left immediately as you enter the compound and drive down a parking lot and drop you off, no fuss no muss. westin, going to be difficult getting a girl in there i think. nusa dua beach hotel, could be interesting for you depending on how she is dressed.

Last year I had a telephone number for a guy who was/is the night manager. (I won't post his name in the Forum...happy to provide by PM.) Send an email to the "contact" at the Grahadi website and ask for a telephone number.

I'm just lazy and like things easy. If I were on monger vacation, I would stay in Sanur. Its tough for a guy in business unless he wants to pay the higher rates that come with using a cab. The only way I see around this is to get dropped off at the Bali Galleria and then walk over to Grahadi, where you'll pay higher rates--but the quality of the girls is off the charts for Bali.
That being said, the 'higher' rates are nothing compared to the states.

The last place I was at was Palanga (sp?) Nightclub It is right next to the airport on the main highway to Sanur. Its near the major intersection. Its right next door to the big sign that says Airplane Tickets.
It wasn't a fish bowl, more like a bad cheesey dance clubs with girls on the dance floor in a very very dark room.

But if you come back here on business there are hotels the equal of Nusa Dua actually in Sanur, most of them on or near Jalan Danau Tamblingan, which joins Jalan Danau Poso where many of the X's are.
There's the Bali Hyatt, The Sanur Beach and Mercure Resort Sanur, to name but three. None of these would raise eyebrows on your credit card bills, nor if you book your accommodation through your company.
And the X houses are a short stroll away.

If you are referring to the X places and fishbowls then there are none that I'm aware of that had ladies in school uniforms. They just wear their own home clothes. But just for your own precaution, if you do encounter one with a school uniform and she looks young--watch out as this could be real trouble.

Hi all, had a good look around on friday and saturday and now can give a fairly exact description about whats happening in the kuta scene...

Note: PT2 tipping guides are generally for the sanur X places and other ST brothel type places. For example, if you are picking a FL for LT paying 1 mill. and multiple pops all nite then PT2 tipping guide will not apply.

Ok, I just reposted what I wrote earlier:
1) Remember: Even if you don't motobike yourself, DON'T ever go to any of these places with a local driver. A commission is always given to them and you will never get the low prices. Just check Barri's maps for the location of nearest landmark and have driver drop you off there and often its only a 5-7min walk to the X-house of your desire.
Tipping: please guys, don't over tip the gals. Remember its only ST at these places and 50k is the max tip for great service. 50k=That's the tips I expect to pay then Tips are then scaled downward for any dissatisfaction. Ex: if you want to Daty but she refuses, then minus 30k, if BJ was too short even when you want more, then another minus 20k etc etc. How much you deduct will be up to you as standards are different for everyone. But please, the maximum tips at these local brothels should never be over 50k or you will kill the market for the rest of us.
So in the end, some of the gals may give you the look of "that's all my tip?"--somtimes NO tips at all, then I would tell them , remember No touch, no lick etc, to show I was not completely satisfy about it. bit of input from a longtime bali expat:
a) about the only way you're gonna experience violence in bali is to pick a fight with a nightclub bouncer - other than that, you probably don't need to worry too much about your physical safety here.
b) generally speaking you're not too likely to get robbed, though in a dodgy bullshit scenario like this it's not entirely farfetched - however, unless your backup is actually in the room with you, watching "sister 2" like a hawk, having a friend around isn't likely to help much, if anything happens it's gonna be a "take half the bills from your wallet while 'sister 1' distracts you" deal, and having a buddy hanging around outside or in the next room won't really change anything.

I've plenty to report, but in due time. First though I should say that I fucked up in a lot of ways, mainly by not planning or preparing well enough for this trip. It's quite acceptable to ask a girl upfront what she is prepared to do (or more importantly, what she is not.) Even if you don't speak Indonesian, it's pretty easy to get your message across with sign language I would think.
That said, you have to realise that the X-houses are set up predominately to cater to local men, although quite a few foreigners patronise them too.

If you are in Jl Legian, there is a small hotel in the Gang next to Uluwatu Lace just past Surfergirl, it will put you back about 100.000.
There are plenty others around but thats about the cheapest without being a total fleapit.
