As for Indonesia, it is certainly not so easy. I am able to average about 2 girls a day including repeats, once you build up the number of first dates to 7-8. The answer is that almost all of the free-standing MPs close during the entire month of Ramadan, as most of the working girls travel back to their home villages, not to return until 3 to 4 days after the Eid (often with some new barely-legal girls). Some of the hotel-based MPs / spas such as Malioboro and Alexis (I think) stay open during the first couple of weeks of Ramadan but keep a very low profile. The famous hotel bar-pick-up-places also slow down.

Back when I lived in Jakarta, the 6th floor Spa in Hotel Melawai would close down, but a group of girls would rent a couple of rooms on a lower floor in the Hotel Melawai and see customers there. .If you go to the open restaurants near Princen Park Hotel in Lokasari (where both Bung Karno and John Wayne were famously photographed mongering for FiFi Young lookalikes) early afternoons you should find freelance girls. There is the odd fat Ambonese Mama who may wish to help. I've picked up from there on half a dozen occasions. And yes, I did a lot of googling today, so I wouldn't be asking you guys dumb questions that could be answered elsewhere. What I found out was exciting and suddenly I realized what you guys were on to (and others apparently are not). So, I am going to put forward some assumptions here about Indonesia based on my evening of net surfing and please chime in. I'm sure others will benefit as well as myself (see, I am not being totally selfish here).

So, here are some things that I can discern about Indonesia:

1) The girls are just as pretty, if not prettier than, any other place in Asia.

2) The girls are notably friendly, easy going, and quite approachable by Western males.

3) Bules are not so common in Indonesia, so my light skin carries with it a bit of appeal to some Indonesian ladies (something the "farang" in Thailand can no longer claim).

Despite several successful prior visits to Jakarta, this time I decide to try the guiding services of Jakarta After Dark com. I was reluctant considering the price, $200, but after some research and recommendations from other seniors on the forum decided to take a chance. The tours are provided by an experienced Indonesian gentleman with a graduate school business education who has lived and mongered in Jakarta for 20+ years he is well-known and recommended by many of our senior members on the Jakarta forum. My primary interest was exploring off-the-beaten-path places that I might not otherwise have found on my own. Contacting JAD was easy, but he is not super responsive to e-mails since he only checks once a day. I opened a fake g-mail account to communicate just to be cautious. After a few exchanges of messages in which I told him my schedule and interests, he asked for confirmation of my hotel reservation. I was a little put off by this since I consider that confidential. He asks for this because he has been burned in the past by people making bookings and then not showing up after he has blocked time and traveled to meet them. Eventually I got comfortable with this based on feed-back from others. After confirming my hotel reservation, he confirmed the appointment and provided his mobile number in a final e-mail before I left my home country.

*Conclusions: JAD was terrific and I consider the money well-spent since he showed me places and knew details that I hadn't seen on ISG before. He's a standup guy that I felt I could trust. However, it's important to understand that he takes no part in the actual negotiations with any girl and won't arrange anything as a middleman. He is careful to be only a guide and interpreter and not a pimp and while offered kick-backs from the mamas, says doesn't take them because he wants to remain 100% legal. (he also an accomplished artist and filmmaker if that's an interest.) But, his fee is equal to 3 or 4 sessions, so if money is tight you will probably choose to rely on the forum and your own experience. I find Jakarta to be one of the safest cities in the world as far as theft. The chances of getting robbed or pick pocketed in Jakarta anywhere other than on the busway are minimal. As far as walking, I don't see the sense in walking the streets in that shitty area because it's simply uncomfortable to walk there given the shit streets and unorganized traffic. It is an unfortunate fact of life that in countries like Indonesia and Thailand organized prostitution such as bars and spas needs corruption to survive, and the new administration will likely be more willing to condone corruption than the outgoing one. So, if the only thing one is interested in regarding Indonesian politics is how it affects prostitution, the better candidate likely won. But these sorts of things are difficult to predict in any case particularly given the increase in Islamic fundamentalism in the country.

The winning party (Gerindra) is not exactly Islamic, they are a coalition who was using Islamists and inciting the wave of ethnic / religious hatred to come to power. They have plenty of corrupt old-style politicians, who might incite religious fervor when it suits them, yet will still take the money to tolerate prostitution, as they did for so long.

Of course, it's impossible to make predictions, and general trends worldwide are against our hobby, but I don't think this specific city election is a setback.

Fast Eddie 48.If I want to spend my time at that area in Kelapa Gading with the places like Sumo, King Cross, MTR2, and D'Heaven, I would much prefer the Harris in Kelapa Gading. If you want to travel from the Mercure to Kelapa Gading during the day, it's more than 30 minutes, especially at rush hour. It's only 5 minutes from the Harris. I stayed at that Harris hotel before and it's fine, it's way more convenient than staying way over at the Mercure (which is not exactly a luxury hotel anyway) if you plan on mainly visiting the Kelapa Gading places. The Harris might not be as nice, but given the convenience, it's absolutely fine. The Harris is also right there at Mal Kelapa Gading so it's very convenient for shopping and eating. One time I booked an apartment for a month across the street from King Cross, so that is also an option. But that was over 10 years ago when MTR2 first opened so I forget the name of the place. It's easy enough to find, just go to King Cross then walk across the street and ask if they have any apartments for rent for a month. I liked MTR2 so much back then, that I went every day. Haha. Given the traffic getting to that area, I booked an apartment there even though I already had an apartment across town.

As much as I love those places at Kelapa Gading (they are my favorite places in Jakarta), I rarely go simply due to traffic.

There is a good amount of fun to be had around Kelapa Gading, from higher class places as mentioned by smoothy like KX, Sumo and MTR which are all within walking distance of each other, then to the 10 or so massage places in the general area or for the trailblazers a 40 K ojek ride to Rawa Malang to try one of Jakarta's last remaining lokalisasi's in the spirit of Kalijodo or Kramat Tunggu. Also noticed a series of karaoke bars in Tanjung Priok just near the pertamina gas terminal which is also 40 thou by ojek from Kelapa Gading. The food in this part of town is good, kong koan for a traditional style coffee, and a golf driving range to practise your swing. Lots of money changers and lots of ojeks.

Some of the massage places offer "All in" = FS, others are a little more circumspect but all is negotiable within the room. Some of the massage places are Metro, plus about two or three others in the same ruko complex, White Mutiara plus a couple of others on Jl Boulevard Raya utara although the fool of a door boy there wouldn't allow you to see the girls, just pay your money and wait hopefully. That said this place had some hot looking girls that they posted on the facebook page Spa Massage Indonesia.

Also noticed another place on jl Pegangsaan Dua slightly North of Kelapa Gading.

I think it would be quite easy to check into Harris or Santika and while away two or three days without repeating the same venue. I saw a few bules pickup girls, only to have the girls walk away at the end of the night. I suspect this was because of negotiations and it seemed like some of the girls were hardliners, which I found surprising as it wasn't a jam packed night. Some more notes:

- Locals are friendly people, both guys and girls, no homo, but it's helpful when you are clubbing and bar hopping on your own.

- Food is great, at a reasonable restaurant or food court you're looking at around $6-9 USD for a meal + drink, at least around central.

- For the most part, most people speak a reasonable amount of English to get by, I found this quite surprising.

- Tinder, OKcupid, WeChat are on fire. But ultimately a bit flaky. Got some girl to come out a 2 am to eat at pizza hut. Man pictures are deceiving – be careful LOL, but she was a nice girl, 22 why. O university student, and hung out with her for a while, she was extremely careful to not tell me which university she went to – but somewhere in West Jakarta.

- Bluebird taxis are the safest and cheapest option, fares start at 6 k, they also have an app which is pretty handy (when you call a taxi from the app is the min charge 20 k? Or was the driver just trying to rip me off?

- For those of you who play golf, Senayan and Royale are quite close to the city center that have reasonable green fees during weekdays. I really wanted to play a round, but Senayan was fully booked and Royale required a min of 2 players.

- Across from Sarinah Mall, where the pizza hut is located, there's a barbershop called Luxe. It's 75 k for a wash, cut, style, head and shoulder rub, and the guys there really know what they are doing – I thought that was great value, considering that type of service would cost 4 or 5x that amount back home.

- if newcomers are looking at daygame options, try searching posts by Bulai69, they are archived on the forum, but are really original brilliant ideas, I. E the mall pickups.

Most bars in Jakarta are closed by 3:30 any night of the week, but My Bar will be hopping. Don't let the crappy looking street there fool you, it's very safe. The problem with My Bar is that it is filled with smoke, but since you listed smoking as an advantage, you would love it.

Bulai had some great posts back in the day, he was one of my favorite posters for sure. Although I believe he did buy a car for one girl and then they broke up. Buying a car for an Indo girl is a big gamble. His recommendations to always wear designer suits and ties wherever you go to impress the women were classic. There are many sports bars in Jakarta where you can watch games. If you go to Aphrodite on a night when there is a big rugby or soccer game, it's packed. I think they have over 20 tvs there. They normally just show the same games you can see on the TV channels. When it comes to American sports, ASN is the best channel because it eventually shows most of the games on tape delay. But as far as watching live, I stream the games most of the time.

The American club does show all of the games live in their restaurant, but I haven't been there in years.

Where this road crosses the Cakung drain, you need to get off and onto the aptly named Jalan Inspeksi Cakung Drain. Now be warned. It is called a drain because it is a drain, and anybody that has taken the time to peer into a Jakarta drain will know that they are not savoury.

Follow our drain South for a kilometer or two down a shitty single lane road and a cemetery will appear on your right. For the romantics that don't like death much you may look left where a huge mountain of garbage that has been collected will rise up. Fear not! For you are now close. A few "cafe's" which is what you have come for are situated along this road but continue on untill a bridge appears on your right and a small community juts out into the green of what is one of Jakarta's major cemeteries. This is Rawa Malang. Cross the bridge by foot and enjoy your time in the alleys. Each alley is lined with "cafe's", people, cats and chickens. The cafe's which will serve you beer by ladies with whom you may enjoy more intimate relations to the rear of the premises, the cats just lay about in the sun and the chickens run around and peck at stuff. Welcome to kampung life with a twist!

OS parked the bike outside the bridge, crossed over and visited mid afternoon, the locals were surprised to see a bule but they were friendly. Thanks.Illigals is like 5 story building. With nightclub downstairs, karaoke level 2, level 3 massage, spa level 4 and hotel level 5. I think those are the levels.

Spa open from midday to 1am.

Spa got the freelance girls and "special" theme room. You can take girl to a gym room where she dresses in gym clothes and you fuck her on a weights bench, exercise ball or yoga mats. Or you take hospital room and she puts on nurses uniform and you fuck her on a observation bed, sofa or desk. Or there is an office room where you fuck your secretary girl on a large desk.

Yes it near where Stadium use to be there are a big sign you cannot miss it, is a high end entertainment complex with KTV sauna and club girl are hotter than classic much nicer places than hotel travel.

That little area with King Cross, Sumo, D'Heaven and MTR2 is so good that it would make sense to get a hotel near there at Kelapa Gading and just spend your entire time at those 4 venues. They are all within walking distance of each other. I still think King Cross has the biggest tittied girls in Indonesia.I'll be doing my "remote work" in Jakarta soon. Is this area accessible to office buildings? Does it have much to offer, other than girls, for those living for 2 months. Thanks.
