Within the last year I have availed myself of one of these photo models (not the ones under discussion or on that photographer's list) - found on Tinder, and also on Instagram.

Took about six months to get a meet, when I did she blew me away (literally) in ST for 3 juta. Not a perfect body (slender but bit of a belly) but she was a nice girl and quite intense when it came down to it (I think there are a few puns in there).

Would I return? Hell yeah. Value for money. It seems however that she's too damn busy getting photographed in various states of undress all over the country / region to do any activities that involve shooting without a camera. My requests to meet up again have been met with silence.

Trying to do anything with these girls that doesn't occur within 5 m of a bed or involve immediate nakedness is a recipe for disaster / disappointment. I know, I've tried! If you are going for the cheapest possible you're not going to get these experiences. Having said that, all experiences above have fallen in the CJs / BATs opening bid / closing price range of the last year or so. And all found from browsing Facebook (before the swiping boom, so 7-10 years ago) or the Tinder / Badoo / Skout / Tango route. Line I find a bit of a jumble but the girls are all supposed to be there as well.

How many followers and how well developed was your own IG profile? Was it a new account with no followers or pictures of your own? Or did you have a lot of pictures of cars, yachts, money, hotels, world travel, etc?I created a separate IG account for this "research," I didn't want friends and family to notice that I was following dozens of Indonesian women, modeling agencies, and notorious spas and brothels. I did post a series of images pulled from the internet of hotels that I had stayed in overseas. Why would she respond? I bet she gets tons of DMs every day.I can't know for sure why she responded to me; however, I do know that she uses DMs for bookings and promos. How did you know when you were chatting with her that it was actually her and not an agent?Unlike the WeChat / Tinder game, the less successful girls won't have agents. The big thing of the site is apparently getting the would be prostitutes to send pictures, passport information, etc and then even a video saying they consent to all this. And they post the conversation all online and expose them.

The sums of money being offered are truly staggering. Like 10 K US plus. Now this site is just posting people who are catfishing and trolling these women. They setup fake IG profiles and then contact the women. But they are attempting to expose what a sham IG modeling really is and how most of the women are just high priced hookers. The guys that run the site claim they don't have a problem with hookers and prostitutes, just the fakeness of the profiles and what the ladies actually are. But some of the texts and conversations are truly brutal. I get the hypocrisy they are trying to expose, but I don't really agree with their methods. They are ruining lives with what they are doing. If a woman wants to post sexy pictures of herself on IG and offer up her body for whatever on the side, that is her business. No need to embarrass and expose her.

For me, I never had the patience to go the IG route. I can play in the 1 K range, but I cannot play in the 10 K range. It seemed like a lot of effort and time anyways that I didn't want to invest in. Much easier to just go to Jakarta for the week and fuck a lot of hot ladies at Malio, Emporium, Alexis 7 before it closed or Alexis Karaoke. For me, well unless a girl has grown a second vagina in an interesting place I feel no need to pay a thousand dollars for her company these days. Blok M has some of the most limited selection and tired looking working girls I have ever seen in my life. The area across the bus depot in the karaoke area has better girls but of course not cheap. Almost every girl walking around in mangga besar after 10 pm is a working girl and there are maybe 100 venues I have never taken a girl long time from these places but wechat is also much cheaper and higher quality imo. If any long time Jakarta mongers have any insight into this I would appreciate it but the clubs and Blok M were a bust for me. They were over priced and kind of stale. I also found that King Cross in Kelapa Gading area to be much more laid back and better quality as well.

Appreciate.The cost for 1 h or 1 pop is usually around 350,000(in the brothels) but the freelancers might try and ask for 500,000 they usually take and seem happy with 400,000. Location is the whole Mangga Besar night market / street side stalls freelancers just make eye contact and ask if they speak english if they arent game they won't make eye contact and they won't want to continue a conversation with you. There are many pimps along this street as well and a good way to meet part time girls is to meet one of these working girls and ask them if they know any girls that are willing to date some girls are not willing to walk the streets but are willing to go on a date like movies or the mall. Outside this area in the rest of Jakarta I've been quoted anywhere from 750,000 to 1. 5 m. As for girl friendly hotels almost all of the hotels along Mangga Besar are girl friendly and a ton of short time hotels along that street which usually cost 100,000-250,000 for 3 hours. One thing as someone fairly new to Indonesia is I've been trying to find some Dangdut venues where you can meet more down to earth local girls. In thailand, Laos and the philippines I go to these local music places / festivals to pick up local girls. If you don't know what Dangdut is search it on youtube its modern popular indonesian pop and is sexualy suggestive. Some of these girls are just as pretty as IG models. It has been a goal of mine to bang some of these Dangdut superstars much more desirable than some ran through model a lot of them don't earn that much and spend most of their time performing. Some of these girls are unbelievably beautiful and sexy. The girls that hang out at the venues are also into Dangdut and may or may not be hopeful Dangdut artists. This is an area I'm going to get into in a few months on my next trip if anyone has any good locations for Dangdut feel free share. Most of the clubs posted here are like western oriented when in asia I tend to stay away from wester oriented attractions, take a more of a "When in rome" altitude. In my experience being in asia its much easier to find good girls when they feel comfortable. The western venues are kind of home ground for the foreigner and not the girls and that comes with some other expectations which makes them skittish or prompts them to ask for more money. That information is like gold thanks for sharing that info, I never have any issues pulling girls if they are "working" girls of any kind. I might give it a shot its a LONG ways from where I usually stay but if I can find a stunner might be worth a shot. At the very least that's confirmation that that place has something going on in it.

About Lokasari it has 2 things for going it for a relative newb the price is right and there is a reasonable selection of girls not to mention 5 min walk either way has brothels if you happen to strike out with the freelancers. If there is a better venue that is reasonably priced and has a better selection with girls that know what is going on I'm in 100% I guess Lokasari is kind of downmarket as you point out its not real glamorous and it might be more for the local clientele but in that respect I have been happy with both the service and the appearance of the girls for the most part. One thing as someone fairly new to Indonesia is I've been trying to find some Dangdut venues where you can meet more down to earth local girls.I have spent a lot of time in Jakarta, but I honestly do not know a single good dangdut venue. I am sure they exist somewhere, I just have never been introduced to that. If you do find a dangdut place that has cute girls, please share that info.

The sad thing about my not knowing a venue is that I love dangdut. It's my favorite type of music and I go to karaoke as often as possible in Jakarta and sing almost only dangdut.

One thing I worry about a dangdut venue is that when you watch the dangdut concerts on tv, the singer is always some hot chick grinding around on the stage, but close to 100% of the crowd are men. I envision a dangdut place to likely be a sausage fest.

Mangga Besar is like the equivalent of the walk from nana plaza to soi cowboy on Sukhumvit Road it has that same kind of feel to me.I don't see any similarity. Bangkok actually has sidewalks. I refuse to walk around Mangga Besar since it has no sidewalks and it's miserable walking around that crap area, but I have no problem walking down Sukhumvit. Sukhumvit is pretty damn nice.

I don't think this area is any kind of secret it is just a shithole like you pointed out and might be a little bit looked down on by a lot of your western tourists that sit on golden toilets but I love looking in the rough for gems not in jewelry stores, the grunge adds something for me I guess rather than detracts from the experience. Actually this is kind of a sane route this is nowhere near the bottom of the indonesian hooker scene right? The train side brothels and mini bars which I wanted to visit but never got the balls to go solo into have to be much more of a shithole than this street is.

I have spent a lot of time in Jakarta, but I honestly do not know a single good dangdut venue. I am sure they exist somewhere, I just have never been introduced to that. If you do find a dangdut place that has cute girls, please share that info.

The sad thing about my not knowing a venue is that I love dangdut. It's my favorite type of music and I go to karaoke as often as possible in Jakarta and sing almost only dangdut.

One thing I worry about a dangdut venue is that when you watch the dangdut concerts on tv, the singer is always some hot chick grinding around on the stage, but close to 100% of the crowd are men. As always, I yield to the superior experience of those who have gone before me, like Smoothy, et. Al. I don't have any wild stories to share, but, in pursuit of fun in Jakarta, have something to report on dangdut.

The places I would recommend in Jakarta don't have a lone sexy singer perched on a high stage gyrating (ngebor, or drilling, as they say) before a huge crowd of hormone-addled teens and young adults.

The clubs I recommend offer some weird mixture between the intimacy of a jazz bar (for music) and the intimacy of a striptease club (for everything else).

Sadly, my favorite venue. Cafe Skorpion in the Permata Hotel and Restaurant on Jl. Pencenogan. Has been shuttered. It's diamond-shaped neon sign has gone dark and the lobby's stuffed tiger (likely resold on Tokopedia.

There are a few other choices, though.

First would be Cafe Asmoro on Jl, Blora, just steps away from Grand Indonesia. Other nearby clubs, like Lone Star, have closed down, but Asmoro remains. It outlived the punk rock venue that was once on the second floor, which, shall we say, attracted quite a different crowd. I must have moved my way through 75 percent of the city's riotgrrl punk crowd there.

As another person wrote about Asmoro: "The first time you hate it because you don't understand it. The third time, the place is yours and you are the queen of the dance floor, requesting "Kucing Garong."

Asmoro is accessible. Tourists are seen there sometimes. I've bought regular civilian Indonesian girlfriends there and they've laughed and had a blast. In the olden days, there used to be a lot of hanky panky going on on Jl. Blora. A lot of places and girls short-time action. While that's no more, there's the occasional working girl sitting at the warungs late late at night.

There's also the dangdut clubs from the Menteng Group hotels: Cafe Iguana in the Hotel Menteng I off of Jl. Cikini; and the nightclubs in the Hotel Grand Menteng (which is nowhere near Menteng, but on Jl. Matraman) and the Hotel Mega Matra (which is also on Jl. Matraman).

I've seen Rhoma Irama impersonators and some of the sexier "Duo" or "Trio" acts at these places.

The MO is the same. MC will be friendly, and wearing a shabby, ill-fitting suit. On a microphone from the stage, he'll work the crowd and keep the show moving. Regulars will be welcomed, newcomers greeted. He will introduce the singers and remind you that requests are welcome.

On stage: a band of 12 talented journeyman musicians who know how to jam.

In the crowd: middle-aged Javanese men who, when sufficiently inebriated, will take to the dance floor, waving Rp 50,000 notes as they dance with the singers. The lads will also tip to take the microphone to render their own versions of favorite songs.

The girls will all be in high heels and squeezed into tight shiny dresses. Some will be young, pretty and sullen. Some will be overweight, cute blowsy and flirty. Most will be in their late 20's and early 30's, with too much make-up.

All can sing! All will dance! It's a lot of high-spirited fun!

After finishing a set, the girls will walk through the crowd shaking hands. It's your chance to tip the girls again, or to invite them for a drink. (NB: There are no ladies drinks, just regular drinks).

Dangdut songs cover the same topics as country / western songs: my wife gone left me, my cheating man, she just don't love me no more. Buy a dangdut singer a drink (or tip her while talking to her) and you'll hear similar stories.

It got to be where the preman (thugs) were just too abundant there so we stopped going. I haven't tried it in over 15 years though. Years ago, I got hooked on the slow gyrating hips of the Indo girls from Java and Bali as they grind me to some Indo song or Kpop. In terms of frequenting the girly clubs and these clubs I plan to do both. In the afternoon I usually visit a brothel right when they open for a "massage" for around 400 k give or take and then go out for some entertainment or possibly a 2nd pop that is my normal MO. Bag a sure thing before the hunt for a reasonable price and then find freelancers or a "date" late night. And if I make some reasonable connections I switch it up and go out for a date or to taman mini or tourist crap in the day with a nice girl and then hit the brothels to end the night. Either way I try to get 2+ pops in. These Dangdut clubs that you posted are a gold mine I went ahead and pined them on my maps for safe keeping thanks for being so explicent on their locations that really helps. Sometimes the grind of having sex with girls get boring if you have been doing this long enough you'll know what I mean and hanging out at a "cash-extraction machine" isn't always the most fun. So finding things like dangdut really helps to liven things up a bit. I abhor / strong dislike western clubs like CJs and BATS they have that same despair that LA Cafe does in Manila or the RCA area in Bangkok. Kind of a love hate situation i love big cities and the abundance of good food and services, i like a good steak every now and then but the purpose of my trips is to get away from western culture to kind of reset. May 9 - Return to Jakarta from Province.

2 Days before returning to Jakarta I messaged an ISG member to query meeting someone he wrote about in a recent report. He gave me her WhatsApp number and I contacted her. Her name is Mei. She responded quickly.

I made plans to meet her with a friend, Putri, on Wednesday afternoon at my room in Hotel Mulia. At her suggestion, this was just a meeting to see if there was interest. A great idea on her part. It takes a while, but I eventually catch a cab back to Mulia to get ready for Ladies Night and to rendezvous later around 11:00 with Mei.

I walk into Mulia around 9:15 and get my favorite seat right by the door. It was Wednesday Ladies Night and I expected a good crowd. Ladies Night means ladies get in free. By 10 pm, I was surprised at the small crowd. Maybe 10 ladies. On Ladies Night? Well, you've heard the saying, "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all". That's me.

Mei messages me and says she and Putri want to come in to CJ's to "check it out". I say "Come on over". She messages me back that she has to pay the cover charge. I eventually meet her at the front door and she is my guest. No problem, except her friend Putri is whining for me to pay her entrance fee. No go.

I have fun with Mei in CJ's and after an hour (11 pm), we go to the room. By now, I'm all horned up over this cutie. She comes out of the bathroom and says she has to leave because her period just started. I can't believe it and half jokingly say "Show me". So, she does. We go into the bathroom and she wipes with a tissue and sure enough red tissue. DAMN. YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!

Now my evening plans are all askew and I want to fuck. I head back down to the bar and now I'm in quick search mode. I peruse the bar several times and find some cute tiny girl. Hello fellows! I will be at Jakarta for first time on middle of July for 3 nights I already have list of the places I want visit: malio complex, travel hotel, classic hotel, kota indah, lokasari. I will arrive around midnight on Friday night to Jakarta airport from manila, so probably when I will reach my hotel (red planet) on pasar baru (central Jakarta) and will ready go out it will be around 2 pm Friday night (or later).

I personally try to get girls that do not know the drill so to speak. That is why I avoid the normal expat / foreigner haunts. If I meet a girl online that has even been to an upscale restaurant I move on to the next one. I thought it was just the area I was in which is why I had a lot more luck with Weechat and facebook than I did with women with smartphones and jobs. Just returned from my semi-annual trip to Jakarta and it was a bit different this time. I haven't been on this site recently so my experience may be a bit different to those others.

As the soccer was in full flow I visited Blok M everyday to catch the last game at 1:00 am. Must say since Top Gun has closed (Dec. 2017) I know most of you know this. But the amount and quality of girls are quite different now. But first I noticed that My Bar has increased the prices of drinks and I am guessing that's because of lack of competition.

The girls in Blok M vary quite a bit and I am always puzzled about their habits; such as: on the weekends (Fri / Sat) there are very few girls and even fewer lookers in the Bar, regardless of time. But during the weekday (Mon-Thu) there are so many different and better quality than on the weekends. Tough to figure out.

When I was there in Dec. 2017 it was difficult to meet a 8/9 type girl in My Bar, but this time around I saw quite a few of them. In fact for the first time in a very long time I managed to meet several beauties that were quite GFE. One girl in particular had an absolute fantastic body but her face wasn't that attractive, but she made up for that in the room. She was a thrill and worth it. Saw here just once after but didn't take her again as she came late to the bar and I was already occupied . From her look I figured she was a bit upset.

They cannot go to bank or have credit card because they don't have proper documents because their parents has not generated those documents and also government people wants more then 5 million rupiah as gift to help them to prepare their documents. So they are living like an illegal citizens within their own country.

That is reality of life.

Also I would strongly request not to put pic of face of girls to prove you had best gem because you know once your image is on web its too difficult to get it removed.

So I posted my last report, and as new things go, it wasn't very substantial, but here's something that might be. You've all heard of and probably tried Tinder, hooray for that. It's Chinese Tinder, full stop, no further intro required. It's burning up your favorite Indo feckbeddy's phone right now. Right up to the paid options, it's Tinder, which if you download it from Play or Apple's App Market, you'll notice. Doesn't seem to have paid options. This is where, if you're tech-minded and you have a Chinese bank account, you need to download a Chinese mainland app market and do some geolocation fiddling to access, because mainland China and feature releases and they hate Google, so internationally they get it figured out when they get renminbi currency conversion figured out, which is fraught and probably never, see Wechat wallet for the case study there. Those help immensely for immediate access to ceweks, as do the paid options in Tinder. If you have Alipay or Wechat e-wallets set up, you can get all the features, and they're vastly cheaper than Tinder's.

If you don't have a Chinese bank account, download it anyway. You won't run out of swipes on ages set 18-35, and I say this as a paid user with unlimited swipes, but also as someone whose phone insists I'm abroad and updates me to the non-paid "international" version unless I delete and reinstall from a specific Chinese app store every day, which I'm often too lazy to do. I first went looking for my old favorite original Kimochi which is across the road from Travel Hotel and found its been closed. Since the experience is rather fresh, I have decided to ignore the hunger in my belly (lunch time spent dusting the roads of Jakarta) but pen this experience down for the brethren. I have not but am experimenting with some mobile payment systems whereby you can limit your loss to the amount in the account and you don't need to have too much personal information in the app. Problem is the limit is only a couple hundred dollars US for non registered ID verified users.

Second. Never pay in advance if you can. In Indonesia, the norm is payment after. If someone asks for payment in advance, don't. Move on. Most will accept payment after, maybe unless you are South Asian. In Western countries, the norm is payment in advance. You are just as likely to get ripped off in Europe as in Indonesia with payment in advance. But in Indonesia, you can have the added security of not paying in advance. The girl takes the payment risks for an unsatisfied customer. Enjoy it while it lasts.

The rules are somewhat different if you are South Asian. I saw one guy groping a FL for a while. When the FL ordered her drink (actually a non lady drink) the guy sneaked off and out for about a hour. Both FL and waitress were puzzled when they could not find him. If you want to know more about the mechanic of the "Advance-fee_scam" google it. The only thing you will be getting for wiring money to these accounts is the "joy" or lack thereof of being scammed. One cannot stop a fool from foolishly sending his / her money into oblivion they were destined to part with it the second they got it. Make no mistake this IS a SCAM. No real effective way to stop these people from falling for this because people who fall for this ejaculate on the notion of hope and the anticipation of a big pay off by the time they figure out its a scam they have ejaculated dreaming about the pay off so many times they self justify being scammed. Instead of realizing it was doomed to failure they assume it just didn't work out since they got off on the anticipation and hope they were given they chase these scams over and over again its akin to a gambling addiction where the odds are in the houses favor.

I've never seen one ask for full payment upfront but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Most of these are written in abbreviated Bahasa or heavy slang so are not intended for the average Western punter but to keep local penniless freeloaders away. The DP is generally waived for a legitimate and big spending Bule.

I'd agree that any request written in English for full payment upfront would be immediate cause for termination of any discussion. To International TT funds would be lunacy.

Certainly there are plenty of local wastrels who have no intention of turning up and also no intention of paying if given a chance but bules?. So the logic goes that if she is not smart enough to qualify her client base then she may not be that good service wise.

But as just pointed out here, sometimes you can be a whole lot richer for showing a bit of trust. The rule of thumb would be if you can't afford to lose your deposit then don't play. OS had a big win once sending 50 000 rp by getting one of the hotel staff to transfer from his account to a young lady to catch the bus to Bandung. OS also had a big loss in Phils when he sent 2000 to a fine looking girl to catch the bus to Cagayan De Oro but theres something in the anticipation as pointed out in an earlier post.

You can also add "no DP" to the twitter search IE: "BO Bekasi No DP" "BO Jaksel No DP" and you will get the girls who don't require DP. I can understand how the system has evolved but it is quite remarkable in a place that is notorious for scammers that this particular line of trust can exist and has done for a long time.

There are still many places, and I'm no no way concerned about things disappearing overnight, but this does contrast Thailand where activities are more tolerated by the public, and relatively more immune to restrictions and closures. As with any place you need to grease the wheel to keep the machine rolling, however there are boundaries that can't be crossed.

I never said it was the 'Sole' reason these places closed down, but one of 'several' contributing factors. Amongst which, how 'connected' the boss is, as well as how much grease they can lube the squeaky wheel with, are important. Public Over-exposure makes the wheel squeak louder, which the bosses then may have to address, and certainly does not help. I don't think anyone could reasonably argue otherwise. As for Malio. While it has gone under further scrutiny as of late. It is the most 'connected' establishment of the bunch.

As for CJs and Bats, these are a totally different category like comparing apples and oranges. I don't think they are concerned with these places (or they just tolerate them) as they are meant for expats and foreign businessmen to have fun on work trips. They are fairly discrete compare to the brothels and the locals never really complain of these places anyways. It would also be difficult for Authorities to act on them because they are just bars where technically nothing illegal happens inside. It just so happens that lots of 'available' women like to congregate here. Even the police have to work within a Legal framework (Yes. There are Laws in Indonesia contrary to popular to belief) and can't simply muscle their way in without some sort of reason or cause. I'm not sure they could even put restrictions on freelancers going in without discriminating normal customers? I got caught up in the philippines airport bullshit but after 5 days of bullshit I arrive in "wonderful" Jakarta. So I get in line for a bluebird and they have this ticket system that is 100% broken theres this guy in control of the taxis. And he is calling numbers in the range of 35-55 the ticket that I just got printed was ninety fucking three so an hour later I kind of pleaded with this guy to let me get in a taxi. So we get near the Mangga Dua mall and it is about 2 am at night and we get pulled over by indonesian police at a check point they set up. They asked for identification I had my taxi money out the first thing he asked was "Is that for me? I of course didn't reply and put it away I don't know about your guys's countries but bribing an officer in it self is a crime. So he says "are you in a hurry?" I say no you can check the bags and I have USB charging cables and he seems to be enamored with the cables. So he looks in my carry on finds nothing and now he want to inspect my main bag. So he checks my pockets and I'm on my way to the hotel so I had changed some money. He found the stack of cash and said "for me?" again. I then brought out 200,000 and held it up. To which is he said "500,000 for me and my friend introduction money. " after which he repeated "introduction money" I didn't reply with any objections, I fail to see how I could have been set up by the taxi driver because it was literally the best route to get to the hotel via google maps. The "officer" has a few words with the taxi driver and we were off. But how common is this bullshit my other 2 trips were incident free. I want to preface this with I assume this officer had a very deep drug problem as his eyes were bloodshot and he was extremely jittery, which also put me off in terms of reasoning with him. The police officer also said that they are out there because of the asia games.

I get to the hotel and it seems like delivery girls are always the ugliest of the bunch. You have to goto these shit holes and pick them yourself if you want to find a good looking girl. The ones that usually show up when they call it "delivery" if you have ever seen the movie spaceballs. The girls that show up are the spaceball stunt doubles of actual girls. Noses and faces all fucked up so of course it being 3 am I pick the less ugly one and get it done. 500,000 dmg for the delivery. Not the best start but only thing good about today is it only gets better from here.

It seems like you can escape this by not being here for very long but if you spend any length of time here it seems like it gets worst as you discover more of Jakarta's underbelly. I have heard of random ID checks and they ding you for not having your passport but the first thing I handed this guy was my passport. Another thing they seem to be suspicious about is that I'm working in Jakarta and not on holiday. The officers other thing was that he was trying to imply that I was working in Jakarta on a travel visa. None of which is true of course. 3rd time is the charm kind of didn't work out this time. The only saving grace is that short time here is as low as 350,000 or $23 plus tip of course but there is almost nowhere else in asia other than maybe mainland China where you can find a deal like that with this quality of woman.

Wechat, twitter and tinder all have been a bust for me this time around.

I have been to 8-10 different "massage" shops around mangga besar all of the quoted me 350,000 for body to body massage which I personally enjoy. The looks of these girls aren't like model quality I would say 6-7's at best. I also find that the chubby ones massage better the skinny ones do 0 massage and just get into the extras instead of the massage. Indonesia (jakarta?) monger pros and cons as I see them.

Pros:

ST is extremely affordable ranges from $24-34 at the current exchange rate. You could possibly visit 5 shops a day and not really break the bank.
Also the more remote the massage places are ive also found that the women are hotter for whatever reason. not all of them offer the same stuff some of the shops have older women 35-50 some are 25-35 and some offer 20-30 the ones where the girls are 20-30 seem to be in more discreet locations. So paying MORE for hotter girls is not always the best move imo sometimes its just location and supply and demand. The hottest girl ive ever been with in indonesia was in this hole in the wall massage place and she was the normal 350,000 i would have paid five times that for that girl. Some of the shops have a line up and some of the shops you need to pick the girls from photoshopped photos. Ive also found that the ones without the line up is where i found hotter girls this may just be a coincidence or the time of day i went.

You have a wide variety of options for venues, personally I do not go the places where ST is 1 mil+ I personally just don't see the point as an american if I want to throw away money I can do it in luxury in las vegas and get more for it imo.

You get propositioned almost everywhere the key is networking these propositions they are after money so building a intel commission based relationship broadens your selection quite a bit. I offer an introduction bounty for any over 20 home body women that need extra cash. 9/10 times this works out best for me.

Food is extremely cheap. I subsist on $7 a day mostly nasi gorang and satay.

It is fairly safe to walk around at even 2-3 am not really an issue imo.

This place is not as easy as going to thailand or phils and walking into a gogo bar and pahing the bar fine, in my experience there is a little extra effort involved and I wouldn't rate this country to be as noob friendly as the former 2.

LT is not as affordable as you would expect I've been quoted $104-171 and the girls can be kind of "annoying" outside of what you want to do with them. I'm sure this is some cultural issue but they kind of get int your stuff and rifle through your things so you are much better off with an ST experience I would also preface this with do not goto the normal foreigner venues some of the girls I pull are real green.

I am extremely direct in online messages. Usually withing the first couple of messages I ask them if they want to meet me at my hotel. About 25% of the time they very politely decline. I got caught up in the philippines airport bullshit but after 5 days of bullshit I arrive in "wonderful" Jakarta. So I get in line for a bluebird and they have this ticket system that is 100% broken theres this guy in control of the taxis. And he is calling numbers in the range of 35-55 the ticket that I just got printed was ninety fucking three so an hour later I kind of pleaded with this guy to let me get in a taxi. So we get near the Mangga Dua mall and it is about 2 am at night and we get pulled over by indonesian police at a check point they set up. They asked for identification I had my taxi money out the first thing he asked was "Is that for me? I of course didn't reply and put it away I don't know about your guys's countries but bribing an officer in it self is a crime. So he says "are you in a hurry?" I say no you can check the bags and I have USB charging cables and he seems to be enamored with the cables. So he looks in my carry on finds nothing and now he want to inspect my main bag. So he checks my pockets and I'm on my way to the hotel so I had changed some money. He found the stack of cash and said "for me?" again. I then brought out 200,000 and held it up. To which is he said "500,000 for me and my friend introduction money. " after which he repeated "introduction money" I didn't reply with any objections, I fail to see how I could have been set up by the taxi driver because it was literally the best route to get to the hotel via google maps. The "officer" has a few words with the taxi driver and we were off. But how common is this bullshit my other 2 trips were incident free. I want to preface this with I assume this officer had a very deep drug problem as his eyes were bloodshot and he was extremely jittery, which also put me off in terms of reasoning with him. The police officer also said that they are out there because of the asia games.

I get to the hotel and it seems like delivery girls are always the ugliest of the bunch. You have to goto these shit holes and pick them yourself if you want to find a good looking girl. I don't go to the brothel areas at night and that's where you are likely to get pulled over by the cops or have the cops raid the bar. I've been pulled over a few times after that but I didn't pay anything even though I never carry my passport. On the flip side, showing you have been in country a while and know the system can lower costs and speed the process.I agree with this statement, and I think your Bahasa needs to be at a certain level before it can help you in this situation. I don't think there is a 'standard' rate people typically pay when pulled over. Its all relative and depends on many factors, such as the person involved, seriousness of the situation, the time of year (holidays, events etc.) and even location. However, if you did nothing wrong and have all your documents in order, you shouldn't worry too much or have to pay much if anything. All that will happen is you will lose some time and be inconvenienced a bit. The officers usually only push for the 'tip' if you don't have proper document, passport, or did something wrong.

I speak fluent Bahasa and had to pay between 100 k-200 k depending on the 'offence' found when pulled over. The time I paid 200 k was when I didn't have my updated car registration. The more serious the offence is, the more serious the 'tip' it will cost. Road checks and pull overs are most common around the Red Light areas, but even happen in central / South Area sometimes. If you are a foreigner you'll most likely need to pay more than what I've paid.

I know a group of foreign businessmen that got pulled over in a Silverbird exiting Mulia hotel. The guys without their passports each had to fork out 1 Juta each, while one of them had an ASEAN card and he got off. I wasn't in that situation, so I'm not sure if it could have been negotiated lower, but I think the fact it was a Silverbird with foreigners and coming out of Mulia, contributed to the higher asking price. At the end of the day, its in the hands of the Officer because he does have the authority to bring you into the Office to process the offence (and if this happens you may spend hours or even up to a day sorting it out), but usually they don't want to spend too much time with one single car and rather quickly move on the the next car / victim, unless you've totally pissed them off or refuse to give some face. Its always a negotiation and you just need experience or the skills to come out of it successfully.

In the few times I've been pulled over by Indonesia's finest, I was waved through when I wasn't at fault (speeding taxis, taxis following ministerial vehicles etc.) or paid fines of 50 to 100 k when I was in the wrong (no ID handed over, car full of hussies at 4 am etc.) I would have expected to pay this amount in MM's case. Perhaps add a bit given that the Games are in town and the cops were obviously out to make some money that night.

The things MM did right were never ever hand over your passport and always settle the issue there and then. Obviously them having important possessions in their hands dramatically weakens your position. Similarly, standing your ground to the point of being taken to the Station and dealing with Superiors who work in much larger sums will see you paying much more and at risk of lock up or assault.

They were going to haul me to the police station if I didn't pay. Had my passport with me too. Claimed that I was supposed to report to the police station. Arguing that I was a tourist, didn't have to report, and have visited many times didn't help.

Maybe I look like a guy with money. I don't know. I've dealt with police many times all over south-east Asia and had never experienced anything like it.

I tried to get out of it paying 500 k, but they were having none of it.

Hotel Travel.
