You had better luck than me. I went to CJs the other night and it was absolutely packed. Lots of attractive girls, but way too many guys there that night.

If your honest response is not worth something tangible to the girl and result in a good rate to you a majority of the time. I would think smart, working FL's would value Expats and Foreign Employee customers over short stay tourists any night in the week. Potential repeat business.

I had a chance to visit Jakarta last week, went to see the scene in Kota Indah.

Day one. Late afternoon, Starmoon Bar and Grand MTR.

Starmoon: traditional fishbowl setup, about 20 girls, at least 10 eminently doable. Picked Fita, 20 YO, little English, quite friendly and enterprising, but not a lot of experience. 350 K + 100 K tip.

Grand MTR: bar style, with about 30 girls packed at one end. Very good selection. After a couple of beers I went to Mariyang, 27 YO, a bit soft around the middle. Speaks good English, good service, has definitely been around the block a few times. 120 K in beers, 390 K +100 K tip for the rest.

Day two: LA bar and Sariya just on front of LA.

LA: small, friendly atmosphere, about 20 girls at one end of the place. Went for Anisa, 19 YO, stunning body, no English and a bit of a starfish. But a very, very good looking starfish. Prices as above.

Sariya: a bit larger, about 30 girls. Selected Fitri, 23 YO, small and slim and cute, but, in retrospective, a bad choice. She's in the wrong business, not enjoying herself at all. Again about 600 K in total, with a beer or two.

Getting there and back: just call a bluebird via their app, no issues. They picked me up in front of the bar. Bad traffic though, the taxi round-trip (from mega kuningan) costs as much as the "entertainment".

Overall impression. Good prices, good selection, but as always the youngest / prettiest are seldom the most fun to be with.

I'm not sure which of my statements you took exception to.

I'll stand by the need to be able to walk away if the conditions aren't right. It's a pretty basic negotiation skill.

I see gross over paying only affecting guys that are doing the same. These guys are seen as easy marks by the girls and are treated differently to those guys who know the going rates and are not willing to pay stupid prices. I tried to emphasis in my post that this especially applies to long term residents or frequent visitors as the girls know that these guys know the prevailing conditions and there is no point in trying for more. I know of many places that have been overrun by fly in tourists or visitors where the girls are charging these guys top prices yet still meeting local residents for a fraction of these prices and often giving better service thrown into the bargain.

Longer term, I think the inflationary pressure of a few guys overpaying is exaggerated. If we look at Pattaya and Bali, where tourist numbers have exploded and the proportion of high paying Asian visitors has increased, a knowledgable hunter can still get cut price services. This Forum has many posts of sub 300 kRp or 1000 be sessions with decent looking girls.

Just stay out of the way, it's none of your and my business so just stay away. During my second coup the'état in BKK in the mid 2000's I just couldn't believe the number of stupid farang fuckwits getting involved and making themselves look like wannabe's.

Stay in your hotel if it gets bad, which I doubt it will in Jakarta. There will be heaps of hooker options made available to you, and you may even find the booze will be cheaper.

I'm currently enjoying my first trip to Indonesia. I tried out classic, and it's alright. I'm really impressed by the spa in my hotel, Grand Mercure Harmoni. Thank you to whoever suggested that place. My first time there I had a great massage, which got more flirty as it went on. I ended up extending the session. Thanks.I would think any protest will run South, not North up Hayam Wuruk. Your hotel will have a full on security plan and there will likely be a military detail assigned to your hotel so not so much to worry about. The protesters are also on notice from the defence minister that if the army takes over the security bit they won't be as nice as the police were last protest. I think maybe expect a souffle protest as these protester chappies are starting to wear a bit thin and the tolerance of them won't last forever.

If you do choose to decamp. OS recommends Cikarang, lots of P4 P. Cheap hotels and the protests will be limited to the size of your big thing and how long you are taking to blow your load.

1. Yes, the hobby is adversely affected quite a bit for the entire month.

2. Places like Kota Indah, which houses a dozen or so brothels will be tightly shut.

3. Places like Classic will be open but the quantity and quality will be very thin.

4. Places like CJs and BATS won't get as many FLs even on weekends.

5. I do not know about the spas in Kelapa Gading or the other well reviewed spas in town, but I suspect they will be just about keeping the lights on.

6. Social Media will probably we the least affected but even there the numbers won't be encouraging.

Point is you will probably get laid 1 or 2 times a day, but you won't experience the best that Jakarta has to offer.

Why? Because the better girls who make good P4 P money would have taken a break and gone back home to their villages. Just wrapped up by 3 day trip to Jakarta and had fun as usual. Stayed at Ibis styles Gajah Mada.

Jakarta, one of the best places I love for entertainment. Despite religiously strict nature of the country, people are awesome and friendly. So I was back again in July to my usual spot in Blok M and this time it had a different atmosphere. There were a bit more girls around but certain nights are much better than other nights. Ex. The easiest way to find the location of places in Jakarta, or anywhere else, is. Wait for it. Google Maps.

Use the app, search using the establishment name, when you find it save it (assuming you have signed into Google Maps with disposable e-mail address). 90% of the places mentioned will show up right where they are. Some will have photos of the exteriors and sometime interior fotos. Also you will see reviews, opening and closing times, often a bar chart of when it is the most busy and how long people generally stay. Couldn't be easier!

I'd agree that Google is a far better source of info than Trip Advisor.

I find it hilarious that rather than the hooker bars Trip Advisor has guided you to the restaurants in the same hotels and just a flight of stairs away. Your choice, you can go to the places indicated and either dine on a pretty nice meal or climb / descend the nearby stairs for some very different fresh meat (ie the type you are really looking for 😁.

There is a massive amount of information on this forum to point you exactly in the right direction, especially in the reports of distinction. It seems as if you want to be directly spoon fed. If you actually read through the Trip Advisor comments for B. A. T. S. you would have seen that it is not just food that they serve! But then the nudge-nudge, wink-wink nature of some of the comments are probably lost on you. Three of the first seven latest comments on Trip Advisor mention working girls in one way or the other. One of them directly. Actually remember seeing comments in there from people complaining of prostitutes being in there when I looked at it for reference a few years ago. So although SB wonders why you would look at TA, it can actually be useful for some basic research.

I found them while searching Google with the names of the places and just asked are these the correct hotels. It may sounds shocking but I don't read tripadviser comments while I'm searching for p4 p places so maybe that's why I didn't saw them. Just used these google search results asking simple thing. Is this the correct place. Yes or no answer will be more then enough.

The idea of ISG is to be a community where people are exchanging information and experiences. During last few years I received a lot of help and advices that made my trips really memorable. And I'm really grateful for that. At the same time I helped to a lot of guys sharing my experiences trying to give back. Now some of you make it like a room full with angry old men trying to be sarcastic to everything and everyone. It is sad. Stop it and lets get back to a friendly and informative type of discussion. Please if someone have visited some of these places, can you tell me - this, this and this are correct. Then I will be back to planning where to book hotels and all the trip details. Then when I got back I`ll give my review, help the next wave of travellers and so on. As it must be.

BTW few posts below I read interesting opinion - if you are at 2-3 days trip, why not to book directly at Classic Hotel and enjoy the action witout the need of travelling around Jakarta like crazy. And that is what I`m planning to do. Just wanted to be sure is this the correct hotel before booking it. Also hotel Travel is near - another place that people recommend. At the map I found one more options that you mentioned - Malioboro. And one more that I didnt saw on ISG - a place called Tease Club. Any info about it? Anyway, I guess this will be the best area if you have just 2-3 days in Jakarta and I hope I will book the correct "Classic Hotel", not something else with the same name at the other end of Jakarta.

You should read my reports as well as many other informative BM's reports on Emporium, Malio / Malioboro, Classic, King's Cross, CJ's, BATS ect. ect. Everything you want to know has already been posted in the forum and is readily available.

As to where to stay; there are many suggestions in the Jakarta Hotel thread. Staying in Classic is one possibility. I would recommend that you read up on the Alila Jakarta & Redtop Hotel which are just down the block from the Emporium and the Grand Mercure Jakarta Harmoni & the Harris Vertu Hotel Harmoni which are directly opposite Malio / Malioboro. These 4 hotels put you right where you want to be and offer better accommodation that Hotel Classic at a fairly reasonable price.

Keep in mind that Jakarta is whatever you make it. The girls are great. I hope you have a good time. I am looking forward to reading your trip report.

Few years ago I was in Guangzhou and after a strange meeting with a couple of girls at the elevator I found out that there is a massage parlour few floors down. But what I did was stay nearby in the Red Planet Hotel. Around 30 usd per night from memory. Only a short walk of 5 to 10 minutes to Classic. Then on your smartphone use Google Maps to search for the locations. By the way all the locations you have searched for are correct. Once you locate each destination on the smartphone, pin the same location on your customized map on the laptop. Over a few pins, you will develop a sort of "radius" you need to focus on. Next on the smartphone use an app like Agoda to find a hotel that sort of in the center of the circle formed by the aforementioned radius. Sounds simple enough?

A few pointers on the places listed:

1. Hotel Classic & Travel alone will be able to satisfy your mongering urges for a few days. Both are relatively close to each other and are in the general vicinity of North Jakarta.

2. Kota Indah is a place that has a dozen bars or so. LA Grand is one of them.

3. Medika is now called new Medika since renovating.

4. King Cross and Sumo are in the same complex in Kelapa Gading which is far from everything in general.

5. CJ's, BATS and other clubs are all in the Central. South Jakarta area. These are places where you go in, get a drink talk to the hookers and bring them back to your room. Simple really.

Jakarta. Still the best place for mongers. Visited Malio club / spa as no trip to Jakarta can be complete without visiting here. Still the same with mamasans welcoming you and the top floor has a pretty quiet environment compared to the club below. So we decided to visit downstairs and our plan was to leave early but made it till 4:00 club closure time both the days.

Bought a few drinks for the girls one was really good. The club has more local FL's then the spa on the top. But I like the hygiene that's maintained by the girls.

Be Fashion seems to have quietened down. Took a massage and the girl wanted me to take extra services desperately. She was ready to come out after 12 midnight once her work ended. But was in no mood maybe will contact when I am in Jakarta next time.

Guys, it's getting annoying. Really. These are google results with addresses of the two hotels and a bar. I found them while searching Google with the names of the places and just asked are these the correct hotels. It may sounds shocking but I don't read tripadviser comments while I'm searching for p4 p places so maybe that's why I didn't saw them. Just used these google search results asking simple thing. Is this the correct place. Yes or no answer will be more then enough.

The idea of ISG is to be a community where people are exchanging information and experiences. During last few years I received a lot of help and advices that made my trips really memorable. And I'm really grateful for that. At the same time I helped to a lot of guys sharing my experiences trying to give back. Now some of you make it like a room full with angry old men trying to be sarcastic to everything and everyone. It is sad. Stop it and lets get back to a friendly and informative type of discussion. Please if someone have visited some of these places, can you tell me - this, this and this are correct. Then I will be back to planning where to book hotels and all the trip details. The information below is a reply I got when asking about staying near to Classic and Travel. Its convenient staying close to Classic and Travel but as previously mentioned this is the shitest part of town.

And if you want to do some other things in the day time other than mongering better to stay else where. Also if you are in Jakarta for 3 days you will have plenty of choice by just visiting Classic and Hotel. Hope you have a great trip.

My suggestion would be stay at any of the hotels on Gajah Madah / Hayam Waruk. From there you can easily access Classic and Travel. Also easily go to Malio. Also easily go to Kota Indah. If you are thinking about a slightly better spa like experience, then there is 1001 and Delta, both easily accessible. All places are a short 10 min ride on a GoJek (ride share app for bikes).

Alternately if you want zero down time, stay at Hotel Classic, their rooms are not bad. The brothel operates from 3 pm to 3 am every day and there are more chicks than you can possibly shag in 3 days. You are only limited by your own stamina and appetite.

I was in Atlanta last year ordering Chicken burger from McD, Blondie at the counter asked me if I want Combo it just the sandwich! Few years ago I was in Guangzhou and after a strange meeting with a couple of girls at the elevator I found out that there is a massage parlour few floors down. I spent interesting two days after that. I'm tempted to try it again. A party place at the same hotel that you are. Pick the girl and after 2 minutes you are at your own hotel room. Sounds good. Better is Malio hotel.

Malio hotel at front on street is 900 k for room plus free entry to all clubs and spa. You get a special in house card that lets you come and go from malio and malio clubs as you like. You can also have all your bookings get sent to your room till early morning.

However couple issues, first you must deposit 2 m in cash which can be used to buy food and drink but can't be used for bookings so at end of stay you going to have 2 m in cash to take home or just exchange at airport when leave.

Other issue with malio, don't expect a quiet peaceful night, you will hear the music and feel the bass from club and if you near the karaoke rooms you will be serenaded to sleep by the soothing sounds of cats being strangled as the locals attempt to belt out Whitney Houston.

Not huge issue for me as I be fucking lady till 4 am as I book malio before my early morning flight out at 7 am, I don't go to malio with intention to sleep.

Any one else know of any other brothel hotels you can stay and take your booking to own room?

Next time in classic, talk to Mamasan / Mami if you fancy any girl. She will make arrangements to send the girl to your room. I have done that. It's not something that's highly promoted but available on the menu for regulars. My tip for you, try taking Girl from same Mami couple times and offer her. I'd be far more concerned about a traffic accident than safety. Especially with the Express night busses. They drive at insane speeds even by Indonesian standards, on any side of the road and collisions or rollovers resulting in multiple fatalities are common. I took one once. Never again.

Have you considered the train to Bunyuwangi?

Download an called Ulmon City Map Andy it's free version lets you store / download up to 5/6 city maps. It uses phone GPS to do real-time offline tracking. Telkomsel Internet is relatively cheap and you may want to just use google maps. Nothing beats that.

If your heart is set on Paper Maps, try any of those tourism centers plus hotels lobby should have a tourist map. Hope that helps.

I was thinking the bus for immersing myself into the local cultures.

I was worried about criminals ala central America.

But forgot about the dangers of travelling in developing nations via tour buses.

Its can be dangerous anywhere, but I have seen many horrible accidents in the news in areas like Asia south and central America.

I have even see in the news roll overs in the states with many fatalities (usually due to snow).

I will explore other options?

The train reminds me too much of an airplane experience, and I absolutely abhor every aspect of flying (not very good at seeing how the locals are living).

Just took the overnight train to st Petersburg from Moscow / it sucked.

So I took the high speed train in the reverse / not any better / just faster and cost double, without the luxury of being able to lie down in bed.

American trains suck as well, not a big fan of those in Deutschland either.

I took the bus to Bali once many years ago. It's not dangerous at all. As long as you have an entire day to [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) away on a bus, it's fine I guess. I tried it for the same reason you want to try it, for the local culture experience. I found it to be a pain in the ass and very little cultural experience. Just a long bus ride. I wouldn't do it again because it's too cheap to fly to justify sitting on that bus so long. Don't expect any attractive girls to be on that bus, the attractive ones fly.

I was in Jogja not long ago and met a young couple from Europe who were there "for the local experience". They had rented a little house for a month out in the middle of nowhere that had no air conditioning and no tv. For transportation, they rented a motorbike, and they bought food at the local market and cooked at home every night. Personally, I can't imagine a more boring way to spend a month, but they seemed to love it. If you are like that couple, you may actually enjoy that Jakarta to Bali bus. I bet they would have.

My recommendation is to fly.

On another note, I'm curious to see if Malioboro hotel is an actual hotel with rooms you can stay in. I had always thought all rooms in that hotel were reserved for sex with the prostitutes they have in the place. I've never seen anyone checking in or out of that place with luggage.

Thanks to all of you about the info and the advices, much appreciated. After reading the last 50 pages and paying special attention to your advices, I decide to expand the 3-day trip to 5 day and then to go to Bali. The idea was 2-3 days in Jakarta and 15 in Bali combining local girls, beautiful beaches and trip to all the interesting tourist places in Bali.

But I think 2-3 days in Jakarta will not be enough, so it will be 4 days mainly pussy party exploring most of the places that you told me about then more relaxed and diverse Bali trip. Strangely I can not find Malio hotel on booking / agoda / hotels, and at the maliohotel.com can not find a way to book a room, only brief room info and contact us section. Did I missed something or the only way to book a room is on site?You can't book in advance for Malio, but they say always have a room for check in. IfFnot there plenty hotels in same area but pretty sure you get room on arrival.

As for packages with spa, don't think they do it. Just room only deal with access to everything. Ss for room don't expect anything fancy, its like a 3 star hotel standard room.

As for prices Malio, maybe someone here can enlighten on current pricing.

If I remember correctly:

Lounge in front building with dancing girls starts from 2 m up wards for one hour. Here get East EU ladies, no idea price.

Then Mbar opposite is small bar with cheaper girls, some cute some not, I think they were under One million?

Final place I know is the second building at back, with dancing states, here about 5 groups of ladies with each group taking up one couch section consisting of 20 or so girls. They start from 1 m up to 2 m (I think).

I don't know anything about spa or massage.

For anyone who has been to KI, you will know the prices sit in the mid-high 300's.

You will also have noticed all bars (except Starmoon) play that annoying Kota dance music. Which incidentally cannot be fully appreciated without some help from the apotik, but that generally kills the hardon big time. Anyway I digress, they all feel the same and have the same ambience. Well that's because they are all owned by the same guy, except Starmoon.

So you get dodgy security, pushy mamasans, deafening music, and hit and miss experience.

Well, old boss man has decided to offer a premium service from the regular service mentioned above. With the soft opening TODAY of Mega Ayu. Its located in the first alley of KI and has a similar layout inside to the others. With less cigarette stains on the vinyl lounges. However the girls are the cream of the crop chosen from of all the bars there. And their price is at a whopping 705 rph.

I was privileged enough to view the merch on a pre-opening to the soft opening (how can there be a soft soft opening anyway? And can vouch they all are very cute and look like they haven't sucked on a lemon. As if often the case with the other bars.

So gents, if you feel like an upmarket experience, in a lowmarket area. Give it a try.

Eka Lorena's buses are some of the main offenders.

Combine trip rates, unregulated speed limits, early wakeups for prayers, heavy carbs 3 times a day, and a roadfull of bad drivers. And its like a scene out of Cars movie with the tractors dosing off.

I also highly recommend the Fairmont Hotel which is very close to the Mulia in case you decide against the Mulia. The Fairmont is an equally fine 5 star plus hotel and cheaper than the Mulia even after adding in the CJ's minimum drink entry fee. Up to you. Both are great hotels.

The bar security gets a laugh out of the Hi-jinx of coming and going with multiple girls. I had a blast.

Same rules apply at BATS as well. With advance booking, I was able to get a room for $125 a night, but you have to watch online closely for price specials.

I also spent off nights (Sun to Tues) at Oakwood Suites. A 2-bedroom condo for $109 a night. One night, I had a girl sleeping in Bedroom #2 - while I'm in #1 with 2 I found at My Bar at 3 am.

Yesterday was my first visit to Kimochi spa.

If you are going to depend on google map, search for New Kimochi Mabes. Only Kimochi took me to probably the earlier location, where it does not exist any more.

As I had no booking, I was asked to choose from the available ones whose photos were put up in a board. The room was basic with attached bath. BJ only? Sex?What you get in the room depends on which karaoke place you visit. If you go to Inul Vizta, that's a "family" karaoke so you won't likely be getting anything in the room. You have to bring your own girl from outside to that place. I will say that I was drunk there once night and I had a girl go down on me in the room there once, but when we walked out, all the staff were giggling so obviously they have cameras in those rooms to watch what you are doing.

If you go to one of the "naughty" karaoke places where you select a girl from a fishbowl, those girls will very likely have sex with you if you like. It always depends on which girl you select. If you select a wild one, she will be up for much more than one of the timid girls. The girls will normally have sex with you in the room if you get a bigger karaoke room with an attached bathroom. They go into the bathroom with you and screw you there. I assume that is because there is a camera in the tv in the actual room just like at Inul Vizta so they don't want to be on camera having sex. It's hard to get them to strip completely naked to dance, but they will most times go topless and give lap dances as long as you keep tipping. I will visit Jakarta for the first time in September.

I have read most posts of this forum but still quite confuse about the Sauna / Spa scene in Jakarta.

I much prefer the Sauna / Spa type of pay sex scenes.

You know, first, you get undressed, put your belongings in the locker, use the Sauna or the whirlpool, get shower, relax, and then maybe put on a bathrobe and get a glass of coke to relax even more, and then start choosing the lady for sex when I'm ready.

It seems to me that most Sauna / Spas in Jakarta are just a part of their entertainment complex?

For example, I've read that Classic Hotel has a Spa in the underground, Terminal 2 for quick threesome, and Terminal 5 for night club.

But you cannot enter another floor or even choose your lady in the spa without getting fully dressed again.

This is a strange type of spa, because most Sauna / Spa would allow you to choose the ladies and enter everywhere you can go in a bathrobe, and you can easily go back to use more facilities just by taking off the bathrobe.

Classic Hotel is in my list already.

Also, 1001 the Pool is in my list, but I know it is more like a night club scene, but the ladies there are of the best quality from what I've heard.

The girls who work in those places are now sitting around in Jakarta doing nothing. I don't think many of them actually went back to their village since it's only 2 days they have off. If you have phone numbers of the girls who work at those places, this is about the only time they will ever actually be able to come to your place. I had a girl come over Saturday who works in one of those places. I'd been wanting that girl to come over for months now and could never get her to do it (I could have paid the "booking out" fee at the place, but that is too damn expensive).

We all have our preferences, but I personally think it's hard to beat D'Heaven for spa, sauna and sex. The facilities are adequate, the price is reasonable, the girls are cute, and the massage is usually pretty good as well as the sex.

DO NOT go there (or any of the other massage places) at 4 or 5pm and expect to get a girl. They will all be taken by guys who just finished work and you will have to wait until the girls are available. I would think that's just common sense, but I told a guy who lives in Pattaya he should check that place out and he went at 5pm then complained saying "why didn't you tell me it would be full at that time?" Geeze. I guess nobody works in Pattaya, but Jakarta is a city where the locals actually do work and go to massage after they finish office hours.

He then went there a week later earlier in the day and did get a girl. But he didn't even use the sauna, steam, or jacuzzi. He just went straight upstairs. What's the point to that? If you are going to do that, just go to Hotel Classic second floor and save 400k. To me, the experience is greatly enhanced by spending some time in the sauna prior to going upstairs. The massage feels so much better after a good sauna. The sex is good too of course, and the girls are cute, but I enjoy the full experience of sauna, massage, and sex.
