Management has no expectation for how much you should tip. It is an issue to be resolved between you (your willingness to pay) and the girl (her performance) and ultimately it is up to you. This way the girls have an incentive to perform well, which is in everybody's interest. But remember she makes almost nothing from the basic fee, most of that goes to the establishment. So almost all of her income comes from whatever you decide to tip her. 300 k IDR is 21 US $. Plus maybe 10 US $ or something like that from the basic fee. That is not a lot of money for letting a stranger, usually older and less attractive guy, use your body. And of course the girls come from poverty and need every cent.

As I have written here before, I find it highly advantageous to be transparent tell her before the session: "good service, good tip; very good service, very good tip; very, very good service, very very good tip. Bad service, no tip". This doesn't always work, but often it does and it has sometimes given me some unbelievable performances. If she has a feeling you are a cheap charlie, she is going to be much less likely to put in a good effort.

A possible misunderstanding is that the girl may think "service" specifically means blowjob. I am not actually that preoccupied with blowjobs, so I also state up front some of the things I want, usually including passionate DFK and DATY. Based on experience and applying a theoretical 100 k tip, there are a number of factors which influence how well (or poorly) the tip is received.

Variables include:

1. The quality of the establishment.

2. The rapport built between the two parties (party be being polite and making Party A laugh).

3. The gap size in age and physical appearance of the two parties (the bigger the gap, the bigger the tip required to satiate Party A).

4. Indonesian language fluency (outward indicator of local knowledge and adds to rapport building).

If you can work 3 out of those 4 variables in your favour, then a 100 k tip is at most warmly received and at least, accepted without fuss.

Agreed on spoiling the market by over tipping but at the same time, depends on level of service I received. At classic or similar establishments, I've tipped 100-150 to the girls that gave me amazing service, same goes for other places, at same time I deliberately tipped 50 to girls who were persistent on lady drinks and provided shitty service just to send a strong msg that "you need to up your service".

Language could be a challenge in conversing with some but telling her what you want using signs or common words, they understands pretty good.

That price doesn't go up just because somebody else pays a higher tip, not for them and not for you. And how much you tip is entirely up to you and you do not reveal it until after the act. So how is the market spoiled?!

3. Half of them are freelancers and are allowed to leave at any time. The other half, who have taken on debt, are only restricted from leaving until they pay back what they owe. It's the same as locals who have taken on unsecured loans from financial institutions not being allowed to travel overseas until they pay back what they owe. Or employers confiscating passports of KITAS holders.

Please let's not turn Indonesia into the next Thailand or Cambodia. I will for sure keep the non-mainstream places to myself only, as the last thing we need is bules spoiling the market.

It happens that Classic, Travel and Malioboro are my favorite places to monger. I have been going there (intermittently) for years. I must have slept with several hundred girls in those establishments. It is based on those experiences that I have formed the impression that around 300 k is a standard tip that will be considered decent and neither impress nor disappoint much. Many other members have stated on this forum at various times that they don't even like those establishments, and I guess they don't spend much time there either. To each his own, but perhaps it also has something to do precisely with not working out / accepting the pricing / tipping system. Some places in Jakarta are cheaper than these, but tend to have very low hygiene standards (no or dirty shower, dirty bed). But many are more expensive, and some are much more expensive. E. g. Zen Club Thamrin. Prices there start a bit over 3 million per hour and go up to 6 million. Not including tip. And personally I don't even find the Zen girls that attractive. What I like about a place like Classic is that the rooms are spotless, the basic price of girls is low and their rewards are instead in the form of tips, which gives them an incentive to perform well. If the customer understands and accepts the system.

I like to sleep with several girls in a row on the same night. This gives me some additional impressions of how tips are perceived. The girls share information with each other and how much you tip may therefore influence how the other girls and mamasans relate to you. If you tip much less than 300 k, they are likely to be less friendly and less service-minded. Sometimes I also tip a mamasan 100 k if she brings me a girl that performs really well. That can have a great effect.

Obviously any tipping involves an element of subjectivity. If you ask what is the usual tip in a restaurant in the US, in Germany, in Japan etc. , people. Including locals. Will also give you different answers. At the same time, there are certain levels that will substantially reduce the risk of the waiter spitting in your dish in the kitchen the next time you visit the restaurant. I don't understand all the moral indignation here on the forum about different views on levels of tipping.

I have formed the impression that around 300 k is a standard tip that will be considered decentBack in the day when Geylang in Singapore was alive and kicking, Indo FLs and the Thai houses started a dual pricing system, where bules had to pay double that of mongers of Asian descent. This was a result of too many bules tipping huge amounts and feeling guilt and that they need to act as the Red Cross.

BBD.I've had plenty of success with Tinder and also had WeChat on my phone, although didn't use that to meet anybody in Jakarta. With Tinder you can set up meetings beforehand, WeChat is of more a use once you get there with the discover function.

Tinder was pretty simple to use. First get Gold Level access a couple of weeks before you go and put yourself as being in Jakarta. Put in your intro what you want and the girls should come a knocking. Don't be too silly in what you put in there. I put in that I was a traveling guy, knew how to treat a lady, looking for dinner dates / company and plenty of girls start hitting you up. Never had anybody not end up back in my room. Lots of ladies out there just want some loving. Yes there are also plenty of sharks so start chatting with them and you will soon find out who the good ones are. And don't get shy to drop them if they don't seem right. Did that a few times. The effort is worth it and don't think I've been disappointed with the returns. I had tried to get one of my Uni friends to load it up as I was having issues chatting with them, WeChat seems to be good at working over dodgy internet connections, were other apps would fail to connect! She wasn; t able to load it up for the same reason, that was pre-Covid, probably about 4 years ago. I used to travel a lot in China and WeChat is the go to app there, even as a money app similar to Google pay. Can't remember if they had that set up requirement then.

If you insist that she doesn't speak a word of English, then you will be amazed at how easily you pick it up. It's an introduced language so designed to be easily learnt and understood. Especially so the basics.

P.S. Yes, the s is often dropped in everyday language: Sudah, Saja become uda, aja etc.

A few language tips below when in these types of venues.

When seated at the bar or table and the mamasan approaches, a few phrases to let her know the type of women you'd like.

Aku cari cewek yang (I'm looking for a girl who).

Ada toket gede (has big tits).

Ada pantat besar (has a big arse).

Toge pasar (slang for big tits and arse. It will likely get a laugh).

Kurus (skinny).

Gendut (fat).

Sedikit gendut (a little bit fat).

If one takes your fancy and you get to chatting but you realize it's not to your satisfaction, you could say something like.

I am going to do the IDR500 K VOA (visa on arrival) at CGK, when I arrive, later this week. But, it says I have to show proof of onward ticket. I don't have one yet, as I am still finalizing details with my Aussie client. Do they really check for onward ticket before issuing the visa?

Thanks to your suggestion, I generated a credible looking itinerary. Very easy to do.

And good thing too. It was not in Jakarta, but at my starting point in the US. The airline wanted to see the onward ticket, proof of vax and covid test (required for all transit passengers going through Taipei.

Now, in Jakarta, the VOA is cash only. But, there is ATM right across. I thought it was just going to be some bureaucrat stamping the visa. But he was asking purpose of my visit, etc. Turns out this is the immigration officer too. There is a bypass route, for VOA holders, at immigration.

All in all, relatively easy and no big delays. I am enjoying my little birdwatcher again. She has such incredible talents and a figure I can't get enough of.

Last year I pointed out to a regular on this forum that I could hook up with decent semi-pros in Jakarta on Tinder for as low as 500 k per session (S / T), I wasn't believed but it was a fact.

To clarify, what I was getting for 500 k was not a supermodel or sinetron artist. I was getting a housewife, usually a single mom in her late 20's looking to make a bit of household cash on the side. They would look fine (I would always ask for pics) but I knew that the bodies wouldn't be the greatest but the service would be superb and they'd do as an inexpensive aperatif in the afternoon before the main event of the evening. The main event would generally be a younger girl, single, no babies, working in an office in South Jakarta, happy to meet up in the evening to earn some freelance income with a nice bule guy before heading home to her kos for the night, they cost me 700 k, often I'd throw a bit extra for ongkos if the performance was good.

I was off Tinder for a while (damn their photo verification) but restarted the other week, sure enough I wasn't long finding the semi-pros looking for "benefits". But Sheesh! They were sticking at 1 juta, no budging. SEA Traveler.I have been to both countries many times. The one clear advantage of the Phils is that the girls speak English really well for the most part. That can make a huge difference in the GFE part of the session.

I have to disagree with some of Lefeu's talking points on this, although I end up in the same place as he ie that LOS is better than the PI. But first, I have to set the record straight. IMHO, Pinays give the best GFE on the planet. Their passion and warmth are real and it seems very natural to me. Thai girls, on the other hand, are much more aloof and reserved. Sometimes it is even hard to tell how they feel about you because they tend to keep their real feelings under wraps. Also bareback is much more common in the PI than it is in LOS. I have been to both places many times since 1990, but I think I'm done with the Philippines for a while. Yes there is more English and its easier to get around and yes the girls are probably more loving, but the deal-breaker for me is MILFs. Thats about all you find in AC and Manila. Some places which have not been talked about very frequently, I managed to visit them in last month or so. They are open, accepting and amazing (some of them atleast).

1. Mr Braid Bar. Do a google search you would get in an instant where it is. Expect walking into a full blown chimney of nicotine (if you go after 5 pm). Really good selection and price is 350 k. Same place, but on the ground floor is GVS. Apparently its the same "owner" - this place is 100 k more expensive. Everything on the offer. Girls are nicer, cuter and more willing to make you happy.

2. Mars. Pondok Indah, Plaza 5 - discovered a gem here. Name Vionita / Vanita / Wanita or something like that. An absolute tigress in bed. Service was astonishing. She loves men with hairy chest so if you have one, don't shave before going. My legs still tremble at the thought of the time I had with her. Loved it. 4. Chrry Karaoke. Grnd Wjya. To be avoided like a plague. Girls are clever and not wiling to please. One in particular. Fowla - has the most disarming smile. I decided to have a bit of karaoke fun before the "run", lest did I know she ordered a drink worth 200 k (called the DJ special) - to give you a perspective. This is just their way of adding money to your bill. Its basically a blue squash drink! So at the outset place appears nice, good quality and "cheap" - but the "additives" make it costly by the end you are through with it.

5. Junda. Again search for it. The only bird to try here is an actual DJ! Name is Salsa Blla. Costs are high! 1. 5 jt. But worth it for one time. Other than that, no one else here to ride home about (or ride at all). So call and check before you land. Its close to a mall so the road is crowded as if its the last day on earth and everyone wants to shop till they drop!

Tried 2 spas near my hotel in Mangga Besar.

1. Zaigon Spa and Lounge.

Jalan Taman Sari. You can find the roster and pictures of their girls on one of their instagram accounts ayoke_z. Some info on Kaskus. I sent whatsapp messages to 2 of the mobile numbers provided, but got no reply. I went there anyway, and when I asked why no response to my messages, they said it was a day off for those two. Re: King Cross. Half of the downstairs was blocked off and there were only two or three small couches of ladies in June. Numbers were way down compared to what they use to have with the more open layout and couches full of ladies on both ends. I didn't check out the top floor during my last visit. That being said, Mangga Besar area is a good central place and you could be in walking distance of a few places like Hotel Travel and DK Mabes. Classic and Malio would at least be an ojek ride.

Some budget hotel suggestions, Sparks Hotel and Hotel Permai. Novotel Gadjah Madah or Grand Mercure Harmoni are western quality. Harris Vertu is also nice.

That being said, Mangga Besar area is a good central place and you could be in walking distance of a few places like Hotel Travel and DK Mabes. Classic and Malio would at least be an ojek ride.

Some budget hotel suggestions, Sparks Hotel and Hotel Permai. Novotel Gadjah Madah or Grand Mercure Harmoni are western quality. Harris Vertu is also nice.

2. There aren't any western style strip clubs in Jakarta. Or Thailand / AC style go go bars. Ladies typically sit around on couches or chairs and wait to be picked. In 2022, the USD is now 14870 IDR to 1 USD. The USD is the strongest its ever been against the IDR, except in the early Covid days when it went to over 16 K. But Indonesia was closed and those of us not lucky enough to be there could not take advantage of this exchange rate.

Anyway, 375,000 / 14870 is about 25.21 USD. So for those of you fortunate enough to get paid in USD, you've actually experienced negative inflation of about -14.1%.

I first went to Hotel Travel around the 2005 timeline. When you come out of King Cross and you're facing Jl. Boulevard Bukit Gading Raya, turn left and start walking about 120 meters on that same Jl. to the short bridge that crosses over the flood river. On the other side of the flood river, which is also Jl. Boulevard Bukit Gading Raya, there's always one or two Bluebirds parked there ready to go. It seems to be the unspoken stopping point for picking up and taking home the late night horndogs in KG. Wkwkwk.

Either that, or keep your My Bluebird app handy. It's usually no longer than 7 minutes before a nearby Bluebird will show up. There are far too many malls nearby for this area to be depleted of waiting Bluebirds.

An old story that's relevant here. I stayed at the old Hotel Indonesia in 1992 for a week for my job. One of my co-workers, who had visited Jakarta many times, took me down to the cafe / restaurant on the ground floor (left of the lobby) one night around 11 pm and the place was filled with attractive female university students drinking tea or a soft drink. He referred to them as "scholars" and said that all of them were available to be brought up to your room for the night for a reasonable amount of money (the equivalent of $20 - $25 US?). I know it is a common practice that Indonesian people do not use protection when they visit a brothel, spa, or RLD in Indonesia all the time Indonesia. That being said, Mangga Besar area is a good central place and you could be in walking distance of a few places like Hotel Travel and DK Mabes. Classic and Malio would at least be an ojek ride.

Some budget hotel suggestions, Sparks Hotel and Hotel Permai. Novotel Gadjah Madah or Grand Mercure Harmoni are western quality. Harris Vertu is also nice.

2. There aren't any western style strip clubs in Jakarta. Or Thailand / AC style go go bars. Ladies typically sit around on couches or chairs and wait to be picked. You can also bring them to a table, buy them a drink and chat with them. They don't make money off the drinks like they do in AC or Thailand. So take them upstairs and fuck them or cut them loose.

Malio Hotel and King Cross use to have all nude dancers, but I think those days are gone. Classic after a certain hour has drink **** type roaming dancers where for 50 K they may pull out their tits and let you feel them up for a few minutes. Malio still has the drink **** ladies too for 65 K in the club area in the back. The dancers on stage at Malio typically aren't completely nude anymore. But at least you can look at dancers. Classic may also still have some dancers to look at after a certain hour. They usually rotate between a band and dancers.

3. A lot of the fucking in Jakarta is on site. You can book ladies out from King Cross, Travel, Classic etc. But it tends to be a lot more expensive than the on site options. For example. 1 on site fuck at Classic is either 350 or 385 K. I booked out a lady from Classic recently I think for 7 X 350 K till 8 am the next morning. I got my money's worth. Almost any of the mainstream places here talked about should have a BO (booking out) if you click with the lady and she agrees to go with you. Talk to the mamasan for the price. It will vary depending on what time it is. It gets cheaper later. I would at least take the lady upstairs once though to see how you get along and how the sex is. I wouldn't just start with the booking.

4. Avoid karaoke and the nightclubs then. But you could still try options like Basque or Bats (if they are open) and just just talk to the ladies and ask them how much they want. Lots of freelancers there.
