I was reading the latest news today about Borobudur. Since covid it is forbidden to climb the temple. Visitors are only allowed at the base. Now there is a plan to charge extra $100 to climb to the top of the monument. Not sure when that will happen. It is just $25 to enter which before covid people can go wherever they want. News is many areas are cordoned off for renovations. Sunrise tours are not there. If they are there they take you to a nearest high point to watch which really does not captivate the moment. Many visitors commented that tours are worthless. Even like you said Mt. Merapi is seen from faraway. There are volcanoes near Jakarta where they take you to the edge and brave workers haul sulphur blocks up the slope. In Costa Rica nice volcanoes. Japan Mt. Fuji trek is magnifisant although extremely cold.

As for the hotel I heard Marriott has been upgrading the hotel. Taxis or Uber to the town must be fairly cheap. For me a good breakfast and dinner should be good enough with some snacks in between. I would definitely talk to the desk clerk to arrange transportation. Also get massage. On the way back I am going to Philippines and have arranged girls in Manila and cebu. So if I do not find the right girl will enjoy solo trip to Yogyakarta. Will definitely have some fun in Jakarta.The other sights and temples are still open as normal? Prambanan, water palace etc. For hotel, Sheraton Mustika is nice with good views, but out of town. I'd stay somewhere closer to Sarkem. If you bring an Indonesian girl to these sites, they can buy the tickets to get in MUCH cheaper than a foreigner can. Their KTP gets access to the extremely discounted Indonesian citizen rate. If your date buys two tickets, they won't check for your KTP at the ticket punching gate if you behave correctly. (Don't act like a tourist!

Checked out the railway track scene night. For context, I'm a Westerner, long term Jakarta resident, first time slumdog.

I decided to arrive at 6 pm, allowing for some fading daylight and negating the risk of being caught in a raid.

It was certainly a unique cultural experience.

It was relatively quiet around this time, yet still plenty on offer. The dark alley runs for about 300 m and is fully enclosed. The stretches of dim purple lighting gave it somewhat of a theme parked haunted house feeling. It was quite good fun.

Chatting with the ladies, I gathered some more intel. Official start time for the ladies and cafes is 8 pm. Although they were able to scrounge around and find me a beer at 6 pm. 8 pm is also when the music kicks off. So if you also enjoy some peace and quiet, arrive before 8 pm.

The police raid which occurred recently was only to catch women without a KTP. Police now don't enter the alley and are paid off outside. Room time is 30 min, although you probably wouldn't want much longer than that given the state of the rooms. Apparently the women only see 4 to 5 Westerners per week. Although lots more from Taiwan, Singapore etc.

Regarding safety, I never felt in any danger. Like any place, being respectful to all and not obnoxiously drunk certainly helps. As does speaking Indonesian.

I would like to go back again around 11 pm to assess the scene from a different time of night.

In Indonesia you can end up in jail for any number of reasons. What you should keep in mind is that in Indonesia law enforcement is primarily a business. The public service component is some way down the list of priorities for many and so you may find yourself in trouble for crossing the street if your stars are unlucky. Your risk of being banged up for this kind of thing will increase around mealtimes.

OS would suggest to embrace the risk, cross the street, fart loudly in reception, enjoy yourself, be polite and be confident and follow the cues of the other 30 million people around you. If you were desirous of a less risk free approach, Cross the road only at afternoon tea time while your adversaries are sleeping.

The government have been trying to close this place multiple times but it still exist for obvious reason. Just closing RLD will not solve the problem.
As other people say, it is not suggestible for those who come to Jakarta for the first time. But this place is cheap and relatively good looking young girls, You might get short term for 120 k rupiahs or even less. Came back to classic after 5 years. At about 8 pm. Tons of girls, not many guys which made the ratio fantastic. I am not aware of any direct flight from Malang to Bali. I think because it does not make any economic sense. You will still need to travel to Abdul Rahman Saleh Airport in Malang. Let alone how many people will board at Abdul Rahman Saleh Aiport to Bali ? It makes more sense to pool it in Surabaya or flight from Malang to Jakarta, due to the distance that is most of airlines are doing.
There are quite a few travel agent organising seven sits van direct to Juanda Airport daily. It is a profitable route for them.
Alternatively Train (not direct), you will need to change at Sidoarjo. Or train to Surabaya + taxi to airport.

This is my second day in Jakarta. Staying in Holiday inn Gajamadha. Hotel is good but its in the middle of traffic. (BB warned me it early).

VOA was very smooth so travel to Jakarta is relaxed except the high airfare.

Went to King cross in the evening at 7. First sit in the ground floor pool area. 10 plus girls sitting there with a mamasan. I told her that I want what is happening in the top floor. She told me its rooms and dark katoke area. I took a girl for 600 K and went to the second floor. In the lift I noticed about the lounge in third floor. It's a major pain in the ass for those of us working here, especially east of Java. For example, I used to be able to get from Papua to Manado with a brief stopover in Sorong, albeit on Sriwajaya, in a morning, but now the same trip involves a stop in Makassar, which depending on the airline means the trip takes the best part of the day. Anyhoos, Malang to Surabaya is only 2 hours if you time it right and there are over a dozen flights a day from there to Bali.

Visited Jetski Cafe in the sea side for food in the evening with a friend. Used Grab app and grab taxi for traveling. If we are in a crowded place to catch a grab taxi through app, should know Bahasa at least a little or use translated texts and convey location. When I took Blue bird, I followed the meter and taxi from side road. Inside the car used google translator. Evening went to CJs bar. Went little late past 10 in the night, even then the traffic was hectic. Even though I visited CJs early, it's a good club to listen music and sit in bar stool in the side area to talk with a lady for some time. Nice place to pick a girl and enjoy the night. If one is prepared to spent 2 to 3 Juta can get a good girl with good time in CJs. I had a friend with me so restricted to speak only with ladies around. Better go alone. Think so.

Next day visited to South Jakarta, Grand Indonesian mall and Eastern Promise. EP is a good place. Typical British pub style. They have continental and Indian food. There's a Bluebird app but I found it didn't work effectively a lot of the time. Yes if you are going to use an app use Grab. The advantage of Bluebird is that they are right on location if it's a spot that supports them. You can be waiting a long time for a Grab if you're in Kelapa Gading or even Kota Indah late at night.

Beware when booking girls off twitter or Michat of the deposit scam. Some enterprising locals have worked up a tidy little model.

Firstly the lady is generally always young, pretty and amenable to all your perverted desires, IE It follows a general scam principle of "If it sounds too good to be true it probably is".

OS just yesterday organised a lovely young lady along these lines in the Eastern Java town of Blitar. To attend his hotel for the purpose of satisfying OS's Lusty desires. The negotiations take place on whatsapp and the lady agrees to come. 20 minutes tops.

Next thing the representative of her establishment is on the phone requesting OS pay a refundable security deposit to their bank account of which OS declines to pay. Making it clear that the deal was always cash in room. They remain insistent and upon realisation by OS that they are not going to shift on this. OS cancels the booking. Both with the lady who is by this time also urging OS to settle the deposit and the representative.

Next thing a new number starts ringing of which OS declines to answer and then this charming gentleman introduces himself by way of message as the local police commander complete with picture of himself in uniform looking stern. The gentleman explains because OS cancelled the booking that he is obliged to transfer the value of the booking anyway and threatens to attend OS's hotel.

OS suggests he may wish to telephone Jakarta headquarters and ask a certain high ranking policeman there if he has a friend called Mr_. _. _. _. _. Which seems to get this gentleman rather agitated and he proceeds to inform OS that his subordinate is on the way to the OS hotel and will arrive soon. OS then sends a photo of a policeman he knows quite well with a few stars on his shoulders which gets a curt reply that he also has stars and then a photo of general number II arrives. This game is called "who has the better patronage".

In this instance OS wins the game for the subordinate never arrives.

From reading the forum and elsewhere about Ramadan (March 22 to April 21), it seems like many massage places will close (I've heard roughly 35%) but most will still be open, especially those located in hotels. Also I wouldn't worry if you go to big spa, karaoke etc either. The police get's their cut from establishment.

For what's it worth, the new law basically will be enforced if your lady friend's husbands, BF, relatives etc report your involvement to the police; maybe good idea to date single women only.

I visited the Aurum spa near Green Sedayu mall (West Jakarta). I couldn't find any reviews, so I went in blind. I wasn't even sure what kind of place it was, but google photos showed the same look of the other Jakarta spas I've been to, with many long couches. This is far outside of the tourist center, so it's not surprising that the staff spoke no English. Thank goodness for Google translate. This is my first report. Cbf doing a day by day breakdown but had such an incredible time. Indonesians are warm, beautiful and extremely horny people. I will definitely be back.

I didn't end up visiting any more spa's because I found there was more than enough on SA and Tinder. SA I didn't like that much. Compared to Tinder there are way less girls, quality is more or less the same and they all want big money: generally 3-5 M for a few hours.

Tinder was a goldmine though. Couple of quick notes:

- For reference I'm 40 and not ugly, but I think as long as you are white and can project success in a couple of photos you would clean up.

Just got back from a quick 4 day visit to Jakarta. Still think Classic is a great option.

Day 1- visited Kotah Indah komplex. Tried New Sariyu, where the ladies sit in a group in dim light and mama calls them over for a lineup, or tries to guess what youd like. Just got back from a quick 4 day visit to Jakarta. Still think Classic is a great option.

The best deal would have to be Jonisteak on the same block as Classic. 2 very good reasonably priced restaurants are Holy Cow Steakhouse and Happy Days. Tons of food carts and restaurants on Percenongen. There's even a Domino's Pizza right across from Classic for something quick. Never tried the Chinese restaurants in Classic.

Kelapa Gading, like the rest of Jakarta is not that well set up for walking. A lot of the restaurants have that filthy Habit of putting all their garbage out on the street and the DKI truck comes along and scrapes it all up every night so the sidewalks can have a few stains,puddles of dubious provenance, squashed rats etc. But there's lots of restaurants, some world class coffee and a broad range of P4 P within a 10 minute ojek ride. From high end to dumpster. There's no 5 star hotels, Santika maybe the best of them but also Harris and one other (Pop I think), attached to Mall Kelapa Gading for discreet trip upstairs if you click with your tinder meet.

Not a bad stop for a weekend out of town.

I've given you WAY more information than I had on my first trip. You should be way more than fine. On each of your first 4 nights go to Kelepa Gading, Kota Indah, Classic, and Travel. You can add Malio in there if you're not on a strict budget. All except for Kelapa Gading are within minutes of each other by taxi. There are plenty more options in Jakarta too but I'd be guessing to know what you're looking for.


Will be traveling to Jakarta soon and plan to share field reports to return the favor. In the meantime, can anyone recommend the best options for daytime mongering options? Are the places in Kota Indah like Starmoon too dead to bother with in afternoon?

KI opens at 4 pm (used to be 3 pm) and there are girls in the bars at that time. Safer to wait til maybe 5 pm or so. Classic and Travel open at 5 pm and you'll be able to find plenty of girls once they open. Lots of spa options open earlier like Delta, B Fashion, Sumo, etc.

Choose your age range, put in a brief bio, and you will start to get pinged by a wide variety of ladies. You can then start culling. Takes a bit of work to weed out the diamonds in the rough, but I have found it to be well worth it. You are going to find everything from Uni students looking for a few dollars to get them through their studies, lonely divorcees looking for a nice night out, and full core ladies of negotiable affection. You may be lucky and find a freebie or two, well nothing is ever free, it will cost you a good dinner in a nice restaurant. I just got back from my Aisa trip covering India, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Indonesia. As far as safety concerns and being targeted by police for being a tourist, never happened in past 12 years and neither this time. I stayed at Classic for 3 nights and did my deeds. Go in early at around 7 pm as those cute chic with nice curves tends to disappear after 10 pm. No issues. Be cautious, be calm and learn how to say "NO" with a smile, firmly but politely and they will get the msg. Remaining 4 days I stayed at Ascot in Central area. No issues either and other high end bars are within a short commute.

Classic is still thriving so is KC. FYI, no more free visa on arrival anymore. There is a fee of USD $35 at the airport which you will have to pay at a special booth before queuing up at immigration line. Also, there is a digital customs declaration form that you will have to fill using computer provided or your own cellphone.

My trip is also going to include a few countries, Indonesia being one of them. I'm planning on hitting up S. Korea, and maybe others. I used it last week to enter Jakarta. It's fairly easy to do. Complete the questions online. Upload a picture of yourself. Pay the 500,000 IDR. You get approved immediately. I took screenshot of the E-visa and showed them. After you get off plane, you walk straight to the foreign visa on arrival line. They ask for your passport, the E-visa and your boarding pass. It doesn't seem like the E-visa is in their system because the take a picture of it with their phones. After you leave that area, you have to complete a custom declaration either on your phone or one of their computers when you walk through baggage claims. Its all a little bit unorganized because it's a spacious airport with lines all over the place but the E-visa makes it a little it easier to get through even though they still take awhile to get you through LOL. I'm now back in Pattaya after taking a 2 week trip through Indonesia, of which I spent 4 days mongering in Jakarta. It was a welcome break from Thailand and although my trip was short and only scratched the surface, I learned a few things and had a good time. ISG is blocked in Indonesia and I did not care to get a vpn so I'm writing from memory, which is a bit fuzzy. Incidentally, although I'm now in Thailand, ISG is still blocked on the phone I tried to access it with in the country although not on my other devices so it seems traveling there places a permanent block that I do not know how to cleanse.

Was not pleasant, I don't recommend it although it has certain charms. The obvious pollution, congestion and squalor were balanced to some degree by Jakartans themselves who were extremely friendly to me. I saw very few other white guys during my trip- which highlighted my Caucasoid novelty- something Thai people have long since grown bored and leery of. Indonesians in other more touristy cities (Yogyakarta etc) were friendly as well but in a sinister and fake way as they have learned that white skin can be exploited.

I appreciate the Austronesia admixture that is at play in the phenotype and found the Javanese look to be very attractive- perhaps (if I may be so bold) the most of all South East Asian haplo-types. There is still pale skin for those of you hating on the darker girls and I feel like the girls in general are lighter than the men, or just take cosmetic measures to lighten their skin somehow. The bodies are sexy, petite, and slim just how I like them.

The Islam practiced in Java is of the "Traditionalist" variety that, despite sounding strict, is actually more flexible and chill than the "reform" type found in Sumatra and other parts of the country- meaning that decadent things can happen but they just need to be hidden away out of sight. Some women wear headscarves, some do not- it seems to be about personal choice. There are no dogs in the city as Islam considers them unclean which was a welcome change from the half-starved wraiths that slink around other Southeast Asian cities. You can hear prayers recited 6 times a day wherever you go broadcast from mosques.

I stayed at the Luminor Pecenongan which I don't necessarily recommend or not recommend. It was next door to Emporium. South of the National Monument is the most international part of the city with huge skyscrapers and big first class hotels. This area looks clean and a lot like any business district of a first tier city and wouldn't be a bad place to stay if you have the budget for one of those top tier hotels. From Pecenongan towards the ocean the city seems to get shittier although some Jakartans tell me there are some luxury areas in North Jakarta. The nicest part I visited was on my Tinder date in Cilandak which almost felt suburban.

The mongering concept here is the "Spa Hotel" which sort of reminded me of a deluxe version of Termas in Rio de Janeiro. Perhaps it's called a "Hotel" to give it plausible deniability, especially if there are actually rooms that are not all short-time as at Classic. I was surprised at how large and comprehensive a few of these establishments were- Malioboro, Classic and Emporium all have multiple levels with vast premises on each one. It looks like each floor is dedicated to its own thing whether it's a spa / massage, Karaoke Lounge, Nightclub, or Short time rooms. I take it there are also smaller spa / nightclub setups in different locations.

Classic Hotel

When I entered the elevator, the attendant said "second floor?" and I nodded knowingly although I really had no clue. On entry I was swarmed by about 4 mamasans and just sort of broke through them lineback style although one had hooked herself on me and as I located the girls that were sitting on benches against the wall she was there, whipping out a little laser. I guess those were her girls. I went through a couple groupings of girls until I found one to my liking but overall I was impressed with the size and selection. Easily beats Pattaya in most measures or maybe I was just wowed by the novelty of it. A fee of 375 k was paid on the spot before I was ushered by her to a room past some pool tables. This time around Kelapa Gading is up on the priority list of "new" things to try, next to some of the known areas and possibly a few tinder dates if I feel I need some variation.

From a MP view I have Kelapa Gading area higher on my agenda this time, since I haven't been to any of those places yet and am keen to give it a try. U1.If brothels and bars are a hard no then your only other option is online. But remember that getting a civvie to bang her friend is very rare. Add in no working girls and you will really struggle.

Jakarta has gone upmarket these days, you'll notice a few changes.Kings Cross was great when I went there in August 2022. Beautiful girls, $25 usd equivalent, don't even ask for a tip, super safe and business-like. No games.

I, and many others on the forum have been travelling to Cambodia for several years to together. Some have been living there for well over a decade and we have never ever come across any BS of this sort. Dangers lurk in many corner of cities in SEA, and probably in several other countries around the world. And a lot of that danger can be avoided by folowing some basic principles. But to generalise the matter and rule out an entire country is just paranoia.
