Anarkhia is back. Been away and broke, so little mongering. Anyways, happymail has once again resurfaced as a topic under discussion so I'll just add my 2 yen. Grossman's lousy happymail experience is all too common I'm afraid, I've had some depressing ones myself. This made me think of why this option is still extremely popular in Japan. I think it has something to do with the fact that they are amateurs, its therefore a more raw and unpredictable experience. Considering they don't have a pimp backing them up they are putting themselves into quite a vulnerable position, especially since this country seems to have more than its fair share of freaks. So Tobita and multiple gaijin doesn't appear as restrictive as made out here. I was there Thursday before last, and as I entered I saw another gaijin leaving, and while there crossed paths with a pair of gaijin wearing t-shirts and shorts and still seemed to be getting solicited. I gave them a wide berth, just in case, so I could still get action. I was there dressed nicely about 3pm. I got about a 50% hit rate and didn't look in unless I heard "oneesan!". Was in Osaka this past Weekend, when to Club Amour in the morning had to wait 40 minutes and 5 ques. They did not speak a word of English to me, just a lot of Japanese. 3. Take a bar where other foreigner go. I noticed some girls coming back every 2 day to the bar. You might have more competition but they will be more open to you. They know foreigners hang out so their mind is already more open to meeting them. Foreign bars are easy to find as it usually are the only bars you can see inside. Minami area around hotel vista and metro seemed to be the most effective.
4. Ignore at start. Order your drink. Ideally go sit next to a japanese guy who does not look to stay long or has some lady friends with him. Make some small talk. When he leaves ignore all ladys. Talk a bit with the people working at the bar. Make sure you have some seats available close to you. THen if a lady is not to far from you ask a question, she smiles, even if the japanese is to hard (I not speak a word).9/10 when I kept trying she pointed to come sit next to her. Usually they know the persons behind the bar so they will jump in and break uncomfortable long tryes to communicate and you can talk to them a bit to keep everything smooth. THen just have patience cause they all seem to have drinking habits, ask for line after an hour / facebook, never had a no. Once you have that they want to make pictures so they can post it. Never saw so many picture eager ladys as in osaka. Usually when I offer a drink at start they refuse, later on they never did, but if their glass was empty they were eager to buy it for them and propose me to have one.
5. My most effective tactic. Befriend with the older japanese guys hanging out at the bar. Point out after an hour that you like japanese women, usually they will make clear they like europe ones. Tell them you are shy. They will make sure any ladies in the bar who you like will come over and as uncomfortable as it may be the older respected guy will usually pay the bill.
6. After 3 days becoming a regular: every time I sat alone; the bar working girls always asked me to go sit with some ladys. I ask " they ask me to come?", she said "yes". Perhaps it increases their revenue as I stay longer. But it worked. They even seem to invite me to the ones who spoke best english.
Everytime when saying goodbye I noticed those do not go asking eyes or they proposed to keep drinking at another place. No idea how to get to the next level. I noticed however that the regular visitting girls when I sat with new ones always came say hello and start touching me or giving semi-hugs to say hello. After 4 days I got facebook messages to go out. When I responded to much it went silent.
So I never ended up alone and had girls staying my side 2-3 hours without even paying their drinks although I sometimes offered. I am sure 2 or 3 weeks would get me somewhere but I could be wrong. The key approach seems to not to approach to much but do initiate after a while. I met some people who lived in osaka and they mentionned they did not have a GF but all had 4-5 special friends; also that the girls are crazy about foreigners. Also it seems to help if you mention that you do not like Tokyo. And do not talk to much, they do not understand most stuff anyway and it keeps everything going as they can talk to the people behind the bar. I mentionned "cute" a few times but they do not seem to respond very warm if you mention it to early.
If you ask me you have to stay at least 2 weeks or longer before you can get anywhere with a freebie, at least that is the feeling I head.
I will come back in the future and would appreciate the input of others about my tactics, are they all wrong or has some truth? Do i only go in the wrong direction or the right direction this way? With the contacts i made, how should i propose a date for next time i come back or will it not work anyway? Japan seems to be different than any country i go before although usually most things are universal. Good quality pay for FS seems very hard for newbies so i am considering freebies. Below is a summary of my experiences over the past couple of years when visiting Osaka, not to give all the details (been a while since visiting anyway) , but to give some personal details of my experiences that may be helpful to others beyond the other information already in this forum, and which is hopefully helpful.
Also, I would greatly appreciate any recommendations on a gaijin-friendly pink salon (BJ bar) in the Osaka area (in addition to Club Queen)!
I have visited Club Queen, Tobita, Shinsaibashi and Club Amour, and each are easy enough to find based on directions on this forum (some details below though).
Club Queen is a BJ bar (BBBJCIM) in Tennoji near the Hoop department store with free low-end beer that I have visited 3 times. The tout has always been the same and will welcome in gaijin. Options are 7500 yen for 30 minutes and 10000 yen for 40 minutes. It opens at 4pm, I think 7 days a week. I usually will drink one beer quickly, get it refilled before the girl settles in, and maybe get a third, but once I got there when the place opened and the girl was running late, so the tout served me a couple and then she served a couple after arrival.
- First time I got Manami, she is around 41-42 now, not attractive, overweight, but personable and seems proud to know the English term "deepthroat" though I wouldn't say she actually accomplishes it. She does a good job at taking care of the business though after some friendly conversation. First time there but not on a later visit, she put tits in my face while stroking the shaft, then put her mouth to work.
- Second time there, maybe 6 months later, again Manami walks up, but before settling in, gets called away, has an apparent regular. That was fine by me, as I was looking for something different, so I instead got Shinobu. Shinsaibashi is an area north of Namba, and the sex area seems to be east and north east of Dotombori bridge. Late night, outside of Club Pure, or streets further northeast near Blarney Stone, etc, women will street solicit for 3000 yen massage, but is really for Chinese sex upsell usually. First time, was offered 6000 yen massage and HJ, only had 5000 yen though, she took it, and did a good job. So I didn't realize about the upsales generally available, so subsequently experienced the 3000 yen massage a couple of times, which basically just gets you into a room, very brief poor massage, leading into a discussion for paying more money for them to bring in Chinese woman for BJ or full service, but each experience involved too much money and poor service (got a nut, but generally not personable) , so I suggest if approached for solicitation in this area, to be very clear about everything that will be included and the total price, to avoid being lured in cheaply and then being expensively upsold once they have you hard and clearly wanting more. There may be more than Chinese options in this area, but that seemed to be the bulk, as I have been approached by girls that I think were Japanese and had different approaches than the Chinese massage upsells, but I have yet to explore those further.
Club Amour is a few blocks west of the north side of Dotombori bridge, and is a fashion health place that allows gaijin. I have only been once, took the 40 minute package without paying extra to choose a girl (not remembering, but 40 minutes may have been 12000 or 14000 yen?). I went midafternoon, and even without specifying a girl, I still had to wait, but there was no one else around, so they may not really have many girls, even though it appears they do based on the pictures, website, etc. I got Anna. 26, who was okay cute with a nice ass and somewhat personable. Nice to be able to window shop before selecting, and for the most part seeing what you get in advance. After playing in Kansai for a while I came to the conclusion that getting into the worthwhile places is dependent on your Japanese ability.
The main reason is that there are a lot of goofs who enter establishments with a superiority complex. J-girls are uncomfortable with that and ask their minders to disallow foreigners who want to impose their desires.
Showing you can speak Japanese shows you have taken time to understand their culture, and that you are willing to be submissive.
If you can speak Japanese, pay no more than ¥12,000 per 40mins for a Japanese girl.
If you can't speak Japanese, go to Tobita or Club Amour or be willing to pay ¥15,000 or above for a ST service.
For a rub and tug (by non-Japanese) , anything over ¥8000 fucks it up for everybody.
I have been to many places on my own dime and found some great places, cute Japanese who are willing to try anything.
Its not a part of their charge, so just ask them and be prepared for a no answer.
If you get a yes, treat it as a gift.

I have been playing regularly in Japan since 20+ years, and most of the time, although I had a good time, I was left.
Then I decided to start learning the language. I am now at a very basic level, JLPT4-5, but that is far enough to get me in almost any shop (except those really closed to non japanese people). So often, does the tencho asks me something in japanese, and I respond in japanese. Then the door opens. Same with the girls, when I open my mouth and speak in Japanese, their face shows first surprise and then lightens and everything goes uphill from there.

So I finally got the courage to try the Osaka Hinnyu Jogakuen (http://www.ohj358.com/main/). Decided to hit Tobita twice in a one month period, after a 9 month absence. Took a friend (also foreigner) both times, just to introduce him to the area. First time had quite a bit of 8s. 9s, and maybe a ten. Second time was a little bit more slim pickings. Both times were on a Monday afternoon between 4 and 6. Service was fantastic as usual from both girls, so nothing big to report there. But a few things I did notice, that may help others out.
• The seemed very willing to drop the price when it was slow, even going as far as 11, 000 for 30 minutes with one of the B team girls.
• One shop was not keen at all for foreigners. After a few laps and smiling each time and saying a quick konichwa, they warmed up to us and let me play. This tells me that a little persistence can go your way here. Maybe she was shy? The girl was very nice and giving, and I didn't get any "just going through the motions" feelings from her.
• Our hit rate was about 50, and some shops even had a little plastic card with English that showed how much / time. It started at 20 minutes though, even though the wall sign says cheapest is 15 minutes.
• My friend doesn't speak any Japanese. I'd just introduce him, tell mama he doesn't speak Japanese, and mama usually had no problems.
Few questions that I did have though, off the cuff:
• hypothetically, are the mamas pay for play too?
• We noticed that the Japanese guys will stand in the doorway for a long while. Are they negotiating?
• Club Queen in Osaka, what time does it open? I've seen reports say afternoon, but the site says 20:00 (I think I'm reading it right).
