Last year I stayed at ANA Hotel in Roppongi (loved it, but it's booked up this time). Grand Hyatt is a bit more than I would prefer to spend since I'll be staying for 7-10 days. Anything comparable close to Roppongi that is girl friendly? Is Oakwood service apartments a good place? Also, would staying in Shibuya or another area be worth considering? I'm afraid I don't believe any of this. I have had "Japanese" girls in countries other than Japan, but without exception they were fairer skinned Chinese or Thai. It is an easy train ride over to Roppongi with the subway station right across the street from the Hyatt. I usually head over to Roppongi just before midnight and come back on the first train at 5 am , unless I have hooked up with something and then I use a cab. I have brought girls back to the Century Hyatt many times after midnight and no one even bothers to look at you. Besides the Hyatt the Hilton is right across the street along with a bunch of other hotels that would be on a par with the ANA. From the Hyatt it is a short walk to the Shinjuku entertainment district which is nice change of pace from Roppongi. Not too many foreigners there, but if you work at it, you can find some action. It takes about 90 minutes to get into Tokyo proper or 60 minutes to get into Chiba. I know there are places in Tokyo where P4P is available for non-Japanese speakers just RTFF. Chiba is hit or miss and you would be better off with a J speaker. Double the travel time, plus additional time to go and find the place, in Tokyo that would be upto an hour after getting off the train at Tokyo station. Add Play time to that total then it is up to you to decide if it is viable option. Narita Express Trains stop running between 1am to 5:30am. The trains to Narita stop running at 10 pm. They start at 6:30am. NEX Trains to Tokyo start at 7:42 and the last train is at 941pm. A taxi will cost you around 30,000 yen one way. If you need more information just ask.

Basically, if the lobby has been arranged in such a way that you have to pass closely by the front desk to get to the elevators, you can probably safely guess that they don't allow visitors to the room.Good hotels (3 star and up) will almost certainly not have these restictions.*Japanese hotels typically charge by the person - so the rates are roughly double for two.

I paid 24000 exactly for the gir,l then 4000 extension fee for 20 mins times three which came out to about 36000 wow thats so much more expensive than AM. I was requried to pay a travel fee and didn't even bother trying to name the girl. If you were to suddenly show up at their door they might freak as they are not a 'registered' place of business for the service they offer otherwise they would give directions to their door. It would be best to have someone who speaks Japanese with you when you go to get the directions to their place and to let them know that you are on the way. They usually ask how many people will be coming and a name (any alias is fine) Once they have a name stick to that name whenever you call again so that they remember you. My experience the first time I used the system was that if I stood long enough (2 or 3 minutes) in front of a system map in the station, someone almost inevitably asked if I needed help (especially the smaller stations). For a first time visitor, the names are impossible to remember and it's imperative that you study and do some preparation. There are plenty of ambiguities (4-5 different Otemachi Station platforms spread over two city blocks, etc.). If you have a good map and prepare a good script then it should be no problem to get from point A to point B. If you go to a station unprepared without a script then there is a high probability that you will get lost. It's just too easy to go the wrong way, get twisted around and get disoriented. You also have to know the difference between a train and a subway and understand that at some stations they actually transform into each other.If you don't prepare then there can be no hope or sympathy for you when you get lost. If you prepare very carefully then you should have few problems.

From a first-timer to other first-timers: This is how I found Supergirl. Did'nt know what to get, but directions from this site was excellent. Hard to miss. Came to the door, and the doorman was first about to send me away during my lack of japanese talkingskills. After asking one more time to get in, it was ok.
