I was just looking through the TPG forums for the first time in a while. I visited Grimpeur again this weekend. I have been using this place since before they changed its name. I had some free time this afternoon so I decided to try Iyashi-ya in Gotanda. (There link http://www.iyashiya-h.com) It is easy to find from there website and they had no problem with me not being Japanese. I think this place used to be called Sweets and Fruits before. I've only used the place twice before and I had no issue today. They didn't give me any funny looks even before I opened my mouth or showed my card. So I'm really not sure what the problem is. Hey guys: I pass by Grimpeur a lot, and there is a "hoteheru" right around the corner from Grimpeur (look for the first door on the left around the corner; there are stairs going up.) Ok since I've been using info on this board and now about to move to Kyoto, maybe I can give some feedback.First thing I tried long ago when arriving in Tokyo was Shinjuku. I like reading this board, but recently haven't seen enough actual reports, so rather than complain, I'll post one of my older episodes.The service was Club Boo. Yes, I know, boooo! Hello all, I had a chance to try out one of the Korean DH places in Uguisudani the other day so here's my report. After the bad reports on chance DH, I had been put off but thought I'd give another similar place a try. Thanks to gifuboy for his tips.Around the exit of uguisudani there are a lot of hotels around. With lots of guys darting in and out of them, seemingly there for the same purpose. Chose a hotel at random and forked out 5000 for a room. I had decided to give "Story DH" a call. 03 5603 8117 and try them out. A lady answered and it was all done in Japanese of course. I can speak Japanese but even if your Japanese is not so hot, I think it wouldn't be too hard to navigate the ordering process. They asked for when you want to order ("kore kara". From now), what is your name, where are you (hotel name, room number). They were going to hang up when I remembered about asking for a girl with a good attitude. I said "send someone nice, pretty because I don't like cold people (who does? )". A few moments later, they called my hotel room to check I was there and told me "Betty" was on the way.Killed time checking out the extensive cable TV selection which consisted of 2 news channels, 2 porn channels and the very romantic Arnie film "Commando". Wanted to let you guys know about two pink salons I've found in Gotanda that are gaijin-friendly. They're out the East exit, make a right by the Yoshinoya and into a warren of streets in the red-light district -- gets a bit difficult to describe the directions from there but this Web site should help:http://www.emotion.vcThere are two places right next to each other, the 2nd floor (Emotions) is a bit more upscale than the 1st floor (Dio) -- but that's not saying much. Had a rather fat and not very attractive girl at Dio, but she was sweet and gave great service. Had a pretty cute girl (Sayaka) at Emotions, but just a so-so BJ. Emotions charged me 7,000, but I later heard them charging a few Japanese guys 4,000 -- I thought about arguing but my Japanese isn't good enough, and in any case I was happy just to get in. I believe the 1st floor cost 6,000, but that was a few weeks ago so I wouldn't swear to it. Anyway, neither place is anything to write home about, but it's nice to know that there are at least some pink salons that will take gaijin.

hi guys, this is it. i am done.666: something very strange must have happened with a foreign customer in recent past.chinese: not worth the effort. not worth the money.i guess i will try kabukicho or am, if ever.i hope some of you guys will have a chance to visit thailand, vietnam and the philippines. you will definitely feel very, very welcome.perhaps someone could share his insight knowledge.appreciated.cheers!i don't know what happened, or what the specifics of your case were beyond what you offered, but i will tell you what my guess is.put yourself in the shoes of the person running grimpeur. a foreigner shows up who doesn't speak enough japanese to conduct the transaction. while business is slow, you have some degree of strange either nationalistic or personal pride (there's a lot less separation between those two in japan than in some other countries). definitely you are not as poor as most people in se asia. you'd like to have some business, but you aren't so desperate that you are willing to risk a serious problem between a foreigner and one of your girls because the foreigner doesn't speak the local language, and the girl doesn't speak english. if you were in se asia, the money you make off of a farang might count for 10 or even 100 local punters. in japan, you would definitely make either the same or more money off of a japanese client, even in down economic times, than you would off of a gaijin. proportionally, the risk isn't worth the reward. and how you dress isn't really an indicator of anything other than personal hygine. some of the most bent folks i have known have been serious fashionistas. let's say you decide that you want to "stick it in her pooper" or something even more extreme, and the girl doesn't allow that. how could she let you know? and if something did happen because of a misunderstanding, there's a huge downside. in most countries in se asia, there is a huge sex industry dedicated to serving foreign tourists. in japan, they haven't needed it historically, so they are just starting to take tentative steps towards opening up now. with regards to the chinese issue, it is a combination of price-point, personal preference, and luck. i had a chinese service provider in osaka who was a serious hottie. but i happened to be in the place on a day when a lot of things were shut down and there were almost no customers because of some severe weather that was going through. had i gone on another day, i might have been stuck with a skank. of course, since i speak japanese, i probably could have negotiated a switch. japan is not a country in general that is friendly to foreigners. with the exception of a brief period from 1945 to about 1958, they haven't really needed to be either. sorry you had a bad experience. had i known and been able to, i would have liked to have helped you out.

I was impressed by the guys with positive experiences in Japan. Living a long time in two southeast Asian countries where FS is widely and easily available, I was challenged by your reports.I have seen now the beautiful gardens and I am a real pro with using any kind of local mass transport system, but something is missing.Story: My budget: 15, 000. 20'000 Yen for FS.I decide to head for Grimpeur (666). Easy to find. 14.00 afternoon. One Japanese customer talking to the front man. I discretely wait without disturbing. Japanese customer leaves. Front man is asking what I want. I show him a translated sentence that I would like a slim, rather young, good looking Japanese lady. He asks if I speak Japanese. I answer "very little". With no warning he collects all the photos and tells me to leave. I was polite and said thank you in Japanese and left. I had a business like attire (end 30's) and was just friendly and polite with a few words of Japanese in my vocabulary.Anyone any idea what could have triggered this kind of reaction? I liked Yuri and the 8500 yen price can't be beat for full service. First time was great but second time sucked. Manami of Tokyo Melty Kiss was over the top awesome and well worth the 35,000 yen for two hours. If I had to make a recommendation for your next trip, schedule with Manami and save up the money because it will be worth it.
