I've had three experiences with Chinese places and two of them were not positive. I liked Yuri and the 8500 yen price can't be beat for full service. First time was great but second time sucked. Some useful explanation:I just went to one of the fashion healths around Grimpeur, in the alley on Dogenzaka (love hotel hill), and while I was walking to the love hotel, accompanied by one of the male staff, I started a casual conversation. I mean that there are two subway 'systems', Tokyo Metro and Toei. Sugamo is on the Toei system. It doesn't matter too much. One-day open pass Tokyo Metro mongers can just ride to the nearest Tokyo Metro station and pay a few bucks for the jaunt to Sugamo on the Toei system. Fortunately, if you can use translation software, a little time and effort, you can probably find at least 100 of these esute in the Tokyo-Yokohama area. One Saturday a few years ago, I spent an entire day and evening checking at least 50 esute around some rather insignificant stations (i.e. Ojima, Asakusabashi (not Asakusa), Kiba, Komagome, Omori, Kamata, etc.). I had a huge list and found at least 40% of them would offer me service. This means a 60% rejection rate. For some people, rejection is demoralizing. Cursory 3, 000 fee to enter one of at least a couple hundred drinking establishments for 60-90 minutes nomihodai, plus 1, 000-2,000 per drink that you should be a polite, non-pennypinching guy to buy for the lady who interests you (and her bar Mama, if necessary).- at this time you get lubricated (alcoholically, if you like, or stick to soft drinks if you must, though the la). You can either keep drinking, or get down to p4p business. Fees for recreational activities that follow.- as well as the general description and characterizatiion of the district and the ladies therein.- are correct, as were given by the Jitsuwa Knuckles article posted earlier in relation to this topic.Further tips: Stay at that hotel mentioned above, particularly its annex building, which has the cheaper room rates and is separate from the main building where the front desk is located. Saturday night seemed to be more lively.- snacks open from about 8 pm Until 2 am .- while Sunday some shut down at midnight. Don't know about other days of the week. Good food there in the district (and especially elsewhere in town from regular restaurants earlier in the day and evening). Every girl I have gotten from a KDH spoke Japanese well enough to communicate, they've never shorted me on time, and they've always been accommodating. A few have looked worn out, but most were upbeat and cheery. However I feel I need to share this with fellow mongers as this is probably not that common an experience. Bad experience at Club Boo. The Martini website advertized 30k yen, so I figured full price was around 90-150k, but they were also advertizing a special good until Sept 11, offering 15k off. Anyway, I brought 90k...any more than that and I would have walked away. I produced the printout of their website offering a 15k discount. He made it clear that this did not apply to foreigners, which I pretty much expected...others may gripe about this and call it discrimination (which it is), but if you spend any time in Japan as a gaijin you know you just have to accept that it happens and move on...it is their country after all. I politely nodded my acknowledgement, and produced the 90k yen. Another double take...he didn't think I would follow through. I was offered a drink (whatever I wanted) while he went back to work out the details. He returned shortly with pictures of three girls. Their website showed quite a few more available that evening, but since I did not have a reservation my choices were limited. I chose one girl, only to have the guy disappear for a few minutes, then return with two pictures, saying "sorry, no gaijin". you pay about Y1000 for a "joining fee", and then about Y5000 for an "entrance fee", to get into the cafe itself.Actually the JPY entrance fee includes 2000 for actually getting in, and 3000 for free talk with the girls.
