This place will allow non-Japanese but you have to speak Japanese and they will test you on it. There are 3 guys at the desk in there at any particular time and one is kind of friendly and tolerant and the others are not, probably depending on what kind of day they are having and you may get sent packing if you cannot answer the questions they ask you. The kind of guy where your impression after talking to him would be, "Hey, I would consider hiring him" or you wonder about the talent being wasted. He was Chinese Probably a different guy but I had a similar experience few years back. Guy was legit, but it really depends on what you're looking for. He could show me everything based on what I wanted, so the question is quality and what's available. By default though he directed me to certain places (mostly Chinese owned) but when I asked for something he took me even if he didn't know the owner. It sounded like most non-affiliated shops would negotiate a broker's fee of about 2000 for this, and it counts as a discount so you don't pay anything extra and he got paid by the shop. Not sure if that's how it still works though.I went to see over a dozen places and ironically the best place I got was one Chinese hostess club where you could take the girls out. This was after I rejected about a dozen places he patiently suggested or showed me.He actually took me to three different hostess clubs but one was full (decent girls), and one I didn't like any of the girls. But the third one had two girls that were smoking hot. This one was rather high class compared to the other two, with an 8 and 10 there. Apparently, all the hot or barely decent Chinese girls work at the hostess clubs, and the ugly or almost decent Chinese girls all work at health, happy ending, and FS shops. However, from my experience, being Asian can help you a bit. In general if a shop says no Gaijin, then you're out of luck whether or not you're Asian. There might be a few places that let you in because you're an Asian, but I've yet to run into those kinds of places. However, if you can pretend to be Japanese, then obviously you're in. Unfortunately, this only applies to those that can speak Japanese. A place where being Asian has helped me is with girl selection. Most shops that will take foreigners have girls that will service and won't service Gaijin. I've been to a few shops where they will let me have any girl I want whether or not a foreigner is ok. Of course you might be able to get this treatment by simply getting to know the manager. I agree with this assessment. It really depends on the lady you get. Of the 20 or so times I've gone to Grimpeur and L/S (previous incarnation when it was a standard health) I think I've had maybe 2 times where the experience was memorable, maybe about 1/2 the time was OK and the rest of the times were very mediocre to bad, but not so bad as a Chinese esute. Argh, just lost a long report. Here's the long and the short of it: Went to Takadanobaba to try Otokonorakuen again. Website is www.otokonorakuen-s. Com. Japanese-speaking ability is a must, as the papa-san recommends calling 30 min. In advance to make a reservation. He says some days there are no customers, some days lots of customers, even with the crappy rain tonight.Take a left out of the Waseda exit of Takadanobaba JR station. Walk 5-10 min. Until there is a Quattro pachinko palace on your left. There should be a traffic light in front of the pachinko palace. Cross the street at the light, there should be a Morioka reimen joint there. To its right, as you stand on the street, there should be another ramen joint. In between the two ramen joints is a set of stairs going up, with a sign above them in Japanese for "Yuri". Go up the stairs, and knock on the locked door on the right. When I went, the papa-san seemed to be finishing up with one of the girls, and he embarrassedly asked me to "call 30 min. Ahead next time."The papa-san shows you some pictures (3 girls for me). You choose, and then the papa-san draws you a map. You go back out, down the stairs, across the street, and into one of the alleys leading away from the main street. I've done this for co-workers and most of them can't deal with getting serviced by a 40-something or 50-something year old who reminds them of their mother or aunt. But some of the touts seemed to be in a talkative mood-- I got to talking with them, and they were friendly enough to tell me it was a busy night. I asked them if they would take a gaijin, and they replied that as long as the gaijin could speak as much as I could, it would be fine-- the girl just had to be able to tell me the rules, and what she could not do. I talked to 4-5 of the fashion health reception people, and they all gave me the same line.For some reason, apparently to do with what shady characters run the neighborhood, they have lots of Japanese girls in the fashion healths in the alley, but no Korean girls. There are some Chinese girls working in the "hoteheru" down the alley and around the corner, on the left. I guess you haven't been there for awhile. With the commodity bubble a few years ago and the spike in the price of heating oil they raised the price to 9800. I like the place but I'm an old guy. My young co-workers are not into getting a bath from their mother. That's how one characterized the experience after he tried it on my advice. So, I gave up recommending it.I don't recommend these places to anyone. They are better off going to a Chinese esute, getting FS and questionable service and a true bargain in the process. If they are on a budget I send them to JanJan or other pink salons. Most of them want either FS or BBBJCIM, neither of which is available at NYNY or Champs. Occasionally you can get CIM but there are only a few that do it and you have to ask for it or you'll usually get a hand finish. Some of them won't even do BJ, covered or BB, just a straight hand finish. But, they will usually give you a rim job or other nice thing to make up for it. You have to ask before you go in with them.

I can add a few things.The Yoshiwara neighborhood is immaculate like Tokyo Disneyland. Yes, the need to just be treated like a human (you may call it pampered) is different from being horny and needing to get your rocks off.
