My standard modus operandi is to be in the location of where the DH place does business so the girls get to my location quicker and I don't have to pay a travel fee. I stayed at the Luxe Hotel. Since I went there on my motorcycle (and parked in the area for free) I can't tell you how long of a walk it is from the main station to the Luxe Hotel. Just a quick note for anyone who is interested in visiting Happy Berry in Shinjuku. A message at their website says that recently, touts are standing in front of the shop, and trying to pass themselves off as working for Happy Berry, and skimming customers away- specifically either saying that they are Happy Berry, but leading them to another place, or bringing them into Happy Berry, and asking for a kickback.

Warning: the ladies in those shops are very friendly but there won't be any FS on the menu (but pretty much anything else goes as long as respect of the lady is involved) and the gals are older. I always enjoyed my times there (about 10 times now).

They had today (sun) a gyaku-nanpa event, meaning the guy's end up sitting in front of the magic mirror and the girls are able to checkout the guys at their leisure behind the mirror and pick who they want. When I arrived there must've like 15 guys, luckily got picked within 10 mins of sitting down for a free talk session which is where you are meant to settle the financial matters and the makeup of the date.

So during the free talk session we do light introductions, some minor small talk. Then we talk about what I want to do. I'm pretty clear from the beginning. Sure can go for some tea, do karaoke but interested to go to a hotel (warikiri) ultimately. She then asks well what do you want to do more now at the moment, get some tea or go to a hotel. Great my kind of girl! We talk price. I generally lowball the girl and offer her 15k to which she laughs at. I ask what she was expecting, to which she replies 30k but asks if I can do 25k. Done (given she's my type. Young, skinny, pretty. Looks like your every day girl walking down Shibuya). We then get out of the cafe then get to a nearby hotel.

Total Damage ends up being 33, 000.

Cafe Costs: 5, 000.

Hotel Costs: 3, 000.

Allowance: 25, 000.

Others on the forum have indicated a lot of these girls are normal girls you see on the street, so you should be subtle in asking for what you want (its technically against the cafe rules to talk about sex for money in the store). Having been to a lot of these places I know better and don't have these fantasies that normal girls would actually come to these types of establishments. Its always people who are already in the pink trade and do this on the side or people who are regulars and go to the cafe with the motivation of getting cash for sex (so are technically pro's). If you unluckily get a normal girl, you will probably end up singing karaoke with her for an hour or two and that's it, best to screen those out before leaving the cafe. Otherwise worst case you probably have to feed the girl before hitting the hotel (I. E. Go get some tea).

This was only the 2nd time I've been to a gyaku-nan event but can say that both times I got a higher quality hookup than I would in a normal day at the cafe. So if you are an average or better than average looking guy then this may be a good way to hook up. I have no idea how non Japanese people well do. But its probably worth a shot. Needless to say you can't really go to one of these looking like a total slob.

2. Can you be more precise on the location? I understand from your instructions that Jonathons is on the corner of the street. But how far in from the main road is the shop. 20 metres. 50 metres? 100 metres? Is it on the left hand side of the street or the right side?

3. Are there any "landmarks" nearby. Opposite a carpark / hotel / rack of vending machines. From your description it seems the shop is in B1. Was their anything about the entrance / stairs that was descriptive. (eg. Next to vending machine, covered in pot plants, red hand rail. Anything?)

Another word of caution: in these places, you are most likely to get a 40-50 housewife, with no particlualr physical attractive features. You should get a good service though, but, again, be happy with whatever you get, and if you are disappointed, don't show it, cut your losses, and enjoy whatever you are given.

Based on my experience, I think as far as Japanese language ability, there is an intermediate level in-between 1/2 and 3/4 below.

If you have daily conversation ability (eg not enough to be considered fluent, but enough to make chit-chat with the tencho and to talk with the girls) , then you will have more luck in Japanese DH. As my Japanese language ability has improved, I've been more able to get accepted in Japanese DH and KDH places.

Also, if you have reading ability, then you will have a better idea about the shop, and when making chit-chat with teh tencho you will be more able to make it clear that you undersatnd the system and aren't some deviant pervert who will abuse the girls.

Also, as far as East Asian / Non-East Asian, within Non-East Asian, I think there is a distinction to be made between White / Black / Middle-Eastern and South Asian. Whites will have more luck (No offense intended to anybody else). I've had situations in Japanese DH where the tencho got the girl to take me by emphasizing that I was "haku jin"

I thought I would add a few comments about this place.

The shop is OK with gaijin as long as you can speak basic Japanese. However, each girl has the right to refuse foreigners. When pick your girl, they will say that they have to confirm with her if gaijin are OK. So far, I would say 50% of the girls I have tried to get have been gaijin OK. I wouldn't say the staff are gaijin-friendly, though, in that they don't go out of their way to make things easier for you if your Japanese is bad.

Among the girls who are AF OK. You can usually get normal FS for 5000. Obviously though, don't ask the staff about that "option". Just ask the girl directly during the appointment.

The situation in the shop is very indiscrete. The shop is very popular, and during busy times, there will probably be a line of other male customers in the shop. There is a waiting area with couches, but most of the Japanese customers do not talk to each other, and try to hide behind newspapers. This can be interesting if you were wondering what kind of Japanese men are going to DH.

Also, the girls report to the shop at the start and end of their shifts, so it is common that you will walk in and one or more girls will also be there. In this case, they wil rush you into the waiting area right away so that there is no contact between you and the girls. Finally, the whole layout of the hotel health scene in Ikebukuro around the north exit of the station is very indiscrete. If I am not mistaken, the total fee for this place is around 60, 000 yen (entrance+service fees). I'm not sure how much you know about Yoshiwara, but it all depends from establishment to establishment. Some soaplands require you to enter with a Japanese friend, some don't. I would suggest for you to have a Japanese friend call Landmark on your behalf to ask if they take foreigners. Even if the establishment is okay with non-Japanese, the girl will also have the choice of whether or not she wants to accept non-Japanese clients. I've also heard the girls say that some of them will accept only certain ethnicity of people. I don't think most of the gentlemen that answer the phone speak Japanese at the soaplands. I've just returned from the Ichigo Pink Saloon in Otsuka.

Someone else on the forum had posted about it being gaijin friendly, and as I live just one stop away in Ikebukuro, I thought I'd give it a try.

The place is real easy to find. Just follow the map and photos on the access page.

The place is just down a small road beside the railway tracks.

Now while the place is gaijin friendly, that doesn't mean anyone there can speak English, nor will the tencho have a lot of time for idle chat as he is busy keeping one eye on the clock and calling out the booth rotations. So make sure you understand the system, which is basically 2, 000 yen for a 30-minute 2-girl rotation. You don't have to limit yourself to a 2-girl rotation, you can ante up the extra and go for a 3-girl rotation or even a 4-girl rotation.

After issuing / stamping your members card, the tencho will take you into the saloon and park you in a booth. You don't need to go on a carrot diet for a week before hitting this place. It is illuminated well enough so you can see what you are doing, what the girl is doing, and what everyone else is doing—so if performing in public is a problem for you, be forewarned.

After as long as it takes, Girl 1 will join you. Give you a towel for your hands and face, tell you to take your pants off, and then wipe down your Johnson. Again, I thought I would share my first visit to this very interesting establishment. It is just as the other reporters have written.
