I was about to recommend 3-star Premier Hotel Cabin Shinjuku right next to Okubo Park and hospital, where some street girls hang out, but the rate shot up to $150 with tax $182 in May, WTF? Couple security guards patrolled at the entrance to the park. A few Middle Eastern-looking guys hang out in that corner day and night, allegedly selling drugs. Early one morning, a group of about 20 men and women in dark clothes were brawling noisily on the narrow street right outside my window, shouting, pushing each other around. Had no idea what it was about. They dispersed by about 5 AM.

Meanwhile 3-star APA Shinjuku Kabukicho Tower can be had for $77, with tax $92 in May. It's in the middle of all actions, a short block from Okubo park. Both hotels are girls-friendly.

Very few street girls were around Okubo when I was there in Dec / Jan. The hospital set up barriers with signs, No Standing, on sidewalk, but a few were still standing at the edges. It was freezing cold and rainy some days. Any women, wearing tan over coat, standing around with umbrellas, hand bags, bottles of water, are likely street workers. I walked passed a decent-looking woman in her tan overcoat on sidewalk right next to the hospital's No Standing zone. Tried to make eye contact but she avoided me. Next day walked past an older woman. She was looing at me but she looked very old, ugly like a great grand ma. I passed.

Near hotel Premier Cabin found a tall, very attractive young girl standing under her umbrella in her tan overcoat, showing long, strong legs. She was talking to a Japanese guy a long time before sneaking in the shabby love hotel right behind her.

Looks like the few street girls in Okubo prefer their regular johns. I did not spend a lot of time outside searching due to the freezing cold and rainy weather. Not successful. Warm weather in May could bring better street actions.
