Hello Evaryone,
I'm sure this question has been asked many times but I have been searching through the threads and haven't found a good answer.

After a few days out of station works, read thru again our favorite forum ISG, noted a new bird was attacked by a group of eagles. Yes, there is a casino on board. You can call in to book your ticket. If you want the number I can pass you. Well, I went on the cruise on last last Christmas. Now they got promotion, free room for 1000 people (whoever qualify). Only RM60 for the ticket each. Was in Penang last week and rather than go hunting decided at last minute to take a very cute lady with whom Id had a few lunches and a few hints of joy to "come" Went to G Hotel and we truly truly enjoyed ourselves. Did some business and at midnight on first night decided to go out for food. Taxi driver mumbled something about after midnight surcharge of RM10 and refused to use meter. G Hotel to Gurney Drive according to him was RM30. I paid him RM 15 and told him where to go. Return journey even worse. Some loud arrogant guy. Told him when I got back to hotel Id just paid RM15 so I wasnt paying his ridiculou rate of RM30. Doorman hd to stop him from entering hotel as he was using foul language and being very threatening to me.
Penang. Nice city. Probably the worst taxi drivers in world. And I've travelled all over this world many times.

sorry to hear about your bad experience rgding the taxi drivers. But G Hotel is along Gurney Drive itself, so which part of Gurney Drive you went to that cost you so much??

GP spa is over mainland & I'd presumed it may be kind of difficult for you to reach there unless:
1. you got your own transport
2. you willing to "pau" a cab (pls be mindful of what freebiefan had just experienced tho :D)

NOT to be confused with another GP Spa at another GP Hotel which is at BM on the mainland.
