I was in Mongolia on and off for about 8 months in late 1998 and 1999, so some of the venues have no doubt changed, but the presence of beautiful and available women has not, I'm sure.

The line between pros and amateurs is blurred. Some girls are students who will sleep with you for taxi money but may sometimes will demand $100, depending on how badly they need to make the rent or how desperate you seem. I have experienced both and either way it is pretty good value. Mongolian women put their heart into it as well as their mouths.

I have met girls in the night bar at the Chinggis Khan Hotel, in night clubs, at the Khan Brau pub, running in the Hash, at the gym, you name it. Many have been educated in various places overseas so you may find English or German speakers and many of the older ones speak Russian. Probably my best one could not speak a word of anything but Mongolian. her girlfriend would met up with us at the beginning of the evening and we would have drinks or a meal all together and then the friend would leave us to it. I gave her about $5-10 in "taxi money" each time and when I was about to leave after we had been together a half-dozen times over a couple of weeks she asked me for $100.

I encountered other girls who were much more mercenary. if you are going to be there a while it helps to meet a girl who is not a pro and cultivate a nice relationship, however temporary it may be.

One tip: Mongolia supposedly has a very low rate of HIV infection, but it also has one of the highest rates of syphilis, which means HIV can't be far behind. Use protection!

I have enjoyed the rewiews on this site when preparing for a trip and feel the need to contribute where possible. I notice that there is very little posted on Mongolia so here are a few of my experiences from a recent visit.

It is true that the night life in Ulaanbaatar is pretty tame by comparison to other Asian Capitals. It is a difficult city to get around and not a lot of English is spoken.

1. The Chinngis Khan hotel is probably the largest hotel but has very little of a regular night life. There is a "night bar" on the 10th floor which is really a strip bar. It is quite good entertainment and the entrance fee is $5 with regular prices for drinks. There is a large supply of dancers and they are very interactive rpovider you have a bill to slip in their thong. They are not available for later though you can choose one to join you at the table for the night for $100. This is not very good value for money.

Look around the club particularly at the back and there are usually a number of girls who are not strippers but customers from outside. They are there for one reason and if you discreetly approach them you have have one come to your room after you leave. Be careful as they can get into trouble with the security and often have to pay a bribe. The going rate for FS in your room is$100.

2. There is a small English language news paper that carries an advt for massage 24h. This is the best deal going. A young nubile beauty will arrive at your hotel room twenty minutes after the call. The fee is $30 for the massage and a tip for full service.

3. I am not sure if it is permissable to post names and telephone numbers here so i will do it and they can be removed when the message is reviewed or edited. I found Narua when I called the number in the massage advt in the paper. She was a beautiful tall slim Mongolian with shoulder length hair. She gave me a total GFE and I was just sorry that I found her on my last night. She also gave me her direct cell phone number for my next visit - 99147556. The number in the newspaper is 95154927

On the previous night I was enjoying a few beers in the nightbar of the hotel when Zulaa leaned discreetly in my direction, asked where I was from and offered to come to my room later. The airport is about twenty minutes from the capital and the hotel has a website that you can visit. It is promoted as the most luxurious hotel in the country. that is probably true but everything is relative!

The visa requirement varies from country to country. US Citizens do not require a visa. For those countries that do require visas it is better to get them before travelling though you can get them on entering the country.

I can confirm, that on the 10th floor at the Chingis Khaan Hotel you can find girls. Asking usually $100, can negotiate down to $60. FS for 2-3 hours back in your hotel room.

If you bring a girl in to the hotel whom you didn't meet in the hotel, escort her in and out of CK Hotel. Security otherwise will try to extort $20-$40 off of the girl as she leaves. I just recently returned to the USA from UB (as Ulaanbaatar is known). This is about my 10th trip to Mongolia. One good place to pick up Mongolian ladies is the Casablanca Bar at the Bayangol Hotel. Some ladies come as early as 7-8 PM. They seem to hang around in the booths near the bar. Some of them are not shy and will come right up and start talking and can be quite blunt, asking if you want a girl. Others are shy and just kind of sit there, either alone or with friends. I have good luck. You just need to take your pick. They may ask for $100 for all night, but you can negotiate down to $50 or $60.

Another place is the Khan Brau near City Coffee -- between Bayangol Hotel and Peace Avenue. Some of the same ladies you see at the Casablanca Bar show up here as well.

River Sounds Night Club, with live music, which usually doesnt start until 11 PM (a cover charge of about $5 to get in) also has ladies, but I have found it more difficult to find unattached ones there.

Face Club is also another bar/disco with live music with women.

As another post indicated, the top floor of the Chinggis Khan hotel ladies can be found as well.

Then when it gets later you can also go to the Palace Disco, where there are hundreds of girls, many of them younger (late teens early twenties).

Mongolian women are wonderful and once you find a good one you can stick with them for a while. I had one lady that I saw off and on for three years either in Beijing or UB (first picked her up in Hard Rock Cafe).

Many of the hotels in UB will charge you extra if a girl stays all night. The last time I was in UB, I stayed at the Tuushin Hotel and when I brought a girl back around 11 PM, I got a call shortly after I got to my room asking if the girl was going to stay all night. I replied maybe and they told me if she did, I would have to pay extra.

I have also stayed at the Flower Hotel -- near Chinggis Khan Hotel -- and had ladies stay all night and never had to pay extra.

My plans would include wandering around the countryside a bit and also looking at the 'ahem' local scenery.

I'm not really interested in the run of the mill holiday- i.e sit in the room and venture out to the shops to look see and run back to the old motherland saying "What a wonderful holiday I had!!!".

This night was my 2d to last night in UB. Went out again to the Marco Polo night club with a couple of Mongolian friends.

Going into the MArco Polo felt like a drug deal. You have to pass through the Italian restaurant, to its rear, pay about $5 USD cover charge and go up some wooden steps into the Marco Polo. Heaven awaits in the Marco Polo.

Besides having a couple of pool tables, the shows and the girls are the main atraction. Think of R to X-rated Cirque du Soleil performance. I haven't seen girls contort like that naked and semi-naked ever!!

It may not be news to see images of young naked women on the internet, but the recent placement of several pictures of naked Mongolian women on foreign and domestic sites with captions reading “If you come to Mongolia you can be entertained by these girls” has raised several heated debates. Matters such as pornography, sex tourism and even brothels have been thrust into the public eye.

Since late February pictures of Mongolian girls in their 20s have been available on many web sites posed nude in wintry settings. The major sensation behind these images is the supposed presence of Juulchin tourism company. In one picture a van bearing the Juulchin logo is visible in the background. This has suddenly raised several major questions about one of Mongolia’s leading and most respected tourism outfits, which has been in business for around 50 years.

On February 11-12 the Mon-Tour Digital Photo company rented a mini-bus and driver from Juulchin. Two Korean men took ten Mongolian girls to a tourist camp in Terelj and to the Kodak Studio in UB’s Bayanzurkh district.
To allay any associations Juulchin issued a statement shortly after the pictures came to light. The statement denied any involvement in the matter and claimed that the photos were both “illegal” and “unaesthetic”. The promotion of pornography is illegal under Mongolian law and the entire field is regulated by a pornography law ratified in 1998.

Juulchin’s statement went onto confirm that the agency was “absolutely not involved in organizing the trip”. They admitted, however, to a degree of neglect. “Our fault was that we failed to clarify who was renting the bus and for what purpose,” they said, before going onto add: “It is regrettable that we have been used for this dirty business and were taken in by unscrupulous figures from Mongolia and Korea.”

The company’s executive director T.Battulga reiterated the company’s distaste for the event. “For us there is no need to earn money in an inappropriate way such as the promotion of pornography,” he stated. He noted that Juulchin has never been involved in sex tourism and works only on cultural and adventure tour packages.

Anonymous sources have revealed that even though Juulchin may not be involved with sex tourism, the industry does exist in Mongolia and current regulations do not adequately deal with the growing problem. Mongolia, as a developing nation, has a market ripe for tourism and the development of the sector is a focus of the administration. If measures are not taken, the expansion of the industry could be grossly taken advantage of in this manner.

Regardless, anonymous sources expressed their beliefs that a certain type of tourist would be attracted to Mongolia by such pictures. An anonymous director of a travel company spoke to Onodoor. “Tourism is based around fun, amusement and pleasure,” he said. “It is a matter for each individual as to how they find this pleasure and how they spend their money. We have no right to instruct them.”

“Almost half our customers are interested in women and request us to find them this sort of companionship,” revealed a second source. “It is nonsense to refuse them by saying that this is prohibited in this country. Whether we get involved or not they will doubtless go out and find a prostitute regardless. It would be poor business for us to lose a customer from such a triviality.”

Onodoor sparked the sexual debate even further by suggesting the establishment of an officially licensed brothel.. The logic behind this is that tourists may come to Mongolia looking to satisfy their needs and licensed houses would serve to avoid the exploitation of young women and protect minors.

As the many debates now grow and rage, the original issue of the internet images is now coming under scrutiny from the State Investigation Office. Colonel L.Enkh-Amgalan spoke to Mongoliin Medee, saying: “Having conducted preliminary investigations, we will decide whether we need to open criminal proceedings”.

A test case appears to already be underway—a young man who distributed a videotape of himself having sexual intercourse with several females in a variety of hotels is currently under investigation.

Guys, on a next Jakarta trip (flying Thai or Sing Air from Europe), I project a side trip to Shangai (will be first time in "Northern"East Asia), and reading this thread, Ulanbaatar seems also really worth a visit .....

But I can't find any DECENT company (Thai, Sing Air, Malaysian, Asia Air, ect), flying to Mongolia from Bangkok or Singapore..

Thai and Sing Air go to China, that's all. Are Shangai or Beijing an obligatory stop on the way to Ulaanbaatar, and in this case, any tip from you experts for a good company for the route Shangai/Mongolia ?

Sorry to dissappoint you: there are no direct flights Shangai - Ulaanbaatar. There are flights from Beijing by MIAT - Mongolian Airlines and Air China though.

Don't forget to get a valid visa before entering Mongolia.

Traveling to UB from Europe by plan forces you to stop in Beijing or in Mosqua. I personally prefer the stop in Beijing and then continue to UB by Air China. The Russian route is served by the Mongolian airline - forgot it´s name.

I spend there a week last year but without any monger experience.

I don't think it is a hassle to get to Mongolia. Alt route is through Inchon, Korea ( the new Seoul Int'l Airport) and fly MIAT Mongolian Airlines. It is about a 3 hour flight. If you are a US Citizen they changed their VISA law over a year ago. If staying in Mongolia less than 30 days, no VISA required, just an Airline ticket showing you are leaving.

I spent a couple of weeks in UB and here's the scoop on a few things that have been mentioned.

1. The Marco Polo strip club was a disappointment. I went rather early in the evening, and except for a few girls shuffling to the beat (often topless), there wasn't much going on. Nobody I found could speak enough English to explain if there was anything on offer that wasn't obvious, so I was out of there by 10:00.

UB is alive and well. Marco Polo is still as good. It has a separate entrance from the Restaurant now. Opens at 7:30pm. I think that is best time to go. Not alot of people but quite a few hot girls. Marco Polo is still open. They open at 6pm but not real action until after10pm. However, I kinda like it that way. Less smoke and almost like a personal club at the early hours. Expected tip for a lap dance is a minimum of 1000T or $1 during the early hours. Many girls expect more after 10pm, about $3 or 5000T for a lap dance. Not your typical lap dance of just grinding, but a very sensual type! $5 is entrance fee to Mrco Polo.

Seoul Hotel has a place similar to Marco Polo, but it caters to the high end won ($$) brought by the Koreans business men. Girls expect $5 tips for lap dances. Plus the girls are not as pretty as at Marco Polo.

A great place is Amrita Night Club. It is about 100m east of the movie theater. It doesn't open until 10pm and nothing really happens until midnight. It has a strip show, but it a more of a night club atmosphere than Marco Polo. It closes around 4a.m. Cover charge here is also $5.

What I would do is go to Marco Polo from 9-12 and then Amrita Night Club at midnight.

Friday night, didn't get laid.

A couple of corrections:

- Venus massage is on the South side of Peace avenue, on the East end of the bridge that cosses the semi-dry river bed. You will see the river on the map. It is about than one kilometer west of the intersection of Peace avenue and Ihtouruu street, where the Khan Palace is located. Who said that? They keep a strict eye on the overland border to prevent smuggling, but, with a 1st world passport they won't give a shit.

To get there, I'd say, fly to either Beijing or Irkutsk (umm.. I think Irkutsk, the city in Russia on near the northern border of Outer Mongolia) and either fly from either of those to UB, or get the train - 24 hours from Beijing and v nice, can't remember how far it is overland from Irkutsk (24 hours?). I'd rather eat rat poison than the train food on the Russian side, it becomes fit for animals when you cross into Mongolia, and, is edible within China. Take some food with you.

Been to UB Massage that day it was good. Been there couple of times but the girls there are getting older and worse by the day. From what I have read, I guess the places to mentioned that I should probably check out are Strings or Marco Polo.

Stay at the Bayangol Hotel. Yes it is older, but it is close walking to everything for eating and places to hang out and some sightseeing in UB. They also tend to be less of a hassle to bring girls in. Get to know security guys. Be nice to them. One of them even has a book with pics of girls he might be able to offer to you. Places like Kempenski Khan Palace and the Chinggis Khan Hotel charge a $20 joiner fee. Did you get to go to Amarita? Doesn't pick up until midnight at Amarita. I think the girls there can be as nice as the ones at Marco Polo. Plus the Restaurant down stairs is also called Marco Polo and has great Itialian food.

Would be little to no problem. I personally know of 3 black men who were there at the same time and pulled some very nice girls out of the clubs. JM is right about Amrita only because nothing starts there until midnight and a rule I try to follow in UB is not to be out past 12 or 1 the latest. Mongolians drink alot of vodka straight. I have seen them regularly put away 1-2 bottles each in the course of a night. So bad things can happen later in the night when they are very drunk, especially around their holidays. Same things that happen if you are out late in Pattaya or any other place. When I stay out late, I usually go with Mongolian friends. UB and the girls though are very enjoyable! A suggestion to stay is the Kharakorum Hotel. It is across the street from Amrita and walking distance to many other places. In warm weather a nice place to meet regular girls is Dave's Pub. It has an outside patio overlooking Sukhbaatar Square. I have dated woman lawyers and doctors from there.

Honestly, places like Amrita, Face, Metropolis are quite safe, I usually party until 4 in Strings, and in Amrita, if I do happen to go there, I'd party till the break of dawn. Strings is safe. You can party until 4, no problem because there are a lot of taxis lurking outside there and its quite safe to leave late from Strings. If you are going to leave places like Metropolis or Amrita late, then you've got to worry a little bit.

Yes Mongolians love to drink and pack a really good drink of vodka with them everytime they are out. Just avoid them drunks, walk further away, if they walk towards you, walk away (they usually try to bang into you to pick a fight. Mongolians and foreigners).

Going with locals is definately a big plus, going with Russians. You're golden. You very rarely, and I mean very very rarely see a Mongolian guy go at it against a Russian. Except for this one time when there was a big fight in Strings.

Khakarom Hotel is great. If you want good food, Kudaam Restaurant is near there and the portion is amazingly huge. I don't know which is bigger, Ikh Mongol or Kudaam heh heh. But never tired picking up girls from Kudaam. Might just give Dave's a try. Used to go there for their good only. Good burgers.

Sounds about right, but for the price you pay for White House Hotel, you can get better Hotels elsewhere. But if you are looking to hang out at Strings a lot, yeah then its alright to be bunking at White House.

Think if you check previous posts, there is a remark on which hotel to look at. Also, its summer now, June 1st, but the weather is still a pain. So get your jackets out even though its warm in the morning! This year's summer is colder than the previous one.

I had gone to Ulaanbaatar (UB), Mongolia on 28 June. I just got back today. I left early because they still have the State of Emergency there until at least this Tuesday after the 1 July riots over the election results. Yep, saw part of it. The rioters burnt down the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MPRP) headquarters building. The building is in the central part of UB. Also burnt out was the National Art Museum next to the MPRP HQ's building. When I went by the building it was an inferno. Never seen a fire in a building like that before. The cause of the riots was that the Democratic Party (DP) and othe minor parites were not happy with the outcome of the election claiming voter fraud. U.S. Embassy and other internation observers made a statement that no "irregularities" were noted and that it was a "fair and free" election. The MPRP was winning a majority of Parliament seats (44 out of 76) and does not need a coalition partner this time to govern the country.

All clubs closed. Most good restaurants are closed, and NO sales or serving of any alcohol in the entire country ! !

I was in the Marco Polo Club when the riot got out of hand. MP locked up at about 10pm but if you were inside you could stay and drink and have fun unitl they closes that night at 2am. Very beautiful girls there. When MP closed is when I went by the burning buildings. Wow, never saw anything like it. A little after 2am is when the Interior Troops and additional troops were deployed and took control of Central UB. BRDMs were at major intersections. A battalion of regular armed forces was doing patrols on the perimeter of the city. Basically for the last 4 days Central UB was shut down to vehicles and a curfew from 10pm to 8am started. The last night I was there, all you needed was your passport if out after 10pm. If you didn't, you would be detained for 3 days or until the State of Emergency was lifted. 1000 people were arrested in the riot. But most places closed at 10pm.

I like this hotel. I have stayed here before. Only 4 rooms per floor. Rate includes breakfast. Make sure to get at least the standard double. A single is just that, a single bed, not a full, queen or king bed. I always registered the girl in the hotels. If you get the double should be no problems. Small lobby and it is not really the walk of shame there to me. Good little restaurant on 3d floor and a bigger one on the 12th floor - Le Passion. Within walking distance of Suhkbaatar Square, State Department Store etc...

Most hotels in UB have a $20 fee for a 2d guest. The hotels say it is the UB City government policy to charge this. Generally if you get a girl in by around 10pm usually you don't get hit with it.

Good time of year to eat out at the Ikh Mongol (Great Mongol) Restaurant or the Grand Khaan Irish Bar.

Yeap I agree Narantuul is a good place to stay, but rather expensive. If you decide to go budget, suggest you opt for other places. If money ain't a problem. Heck go ahead by all means! Extremely near to Strings anyways!

You can head off to a good restaurant down the road called Kudaam where the portions are blown over the plate and you'd need to unbuckle your belt just to finish your meal.

Was at strings the day after Mongolia won the Olympic Gold and the crowd there was amazing. Unfortunately I don't know somehow I didn't have the feel to make a move on a girl although there was this girl with leopord skin dress trying to come on to me and my pal. Nice body, and could see that she was looking for some Company down in Strings as after 10 mins after I ignored her, an old chump started to pick her up and dancing with her and even tried to give her his handphone which she ignored. As I said before, I'm a hot blooded male and by then the effects of the wine, beer and, by now, vodka were kicking in. I was enjoying the obvious flirting and of course I returned the honour!

Next thing I knew I was telling my friend that he'd have to make his own way home then she and I left together. My brain and my balls were already more than a touch addled by now but I do remember that we went by taxi to a club that I didn't recognise for a couple more vodkas. Somehow or the other we then managed to find our way back to my apartment where we were soon getting naked. My friend interrupted us briefly when he had to bang on the apartment door to be let in (I had the only key) but he just smiled and went off to his bedroom.

So it was back to my room where the girl (I still can't remember her name) was now totally naked and on my bed. I was there next to her in a flash ...... I think, me head was spinning by now. I have heard since that this is a regular situation. So it's easy to have sex in Mongolia with girls who don't want to call themselves WGs and probably don't negotiate a rate. Just don't let them get you too drunk first!!

I honestly doubt you will have troubles trying to have a good time in Mongolia. As a well trim and professional man from the states would most likely, or I would say, will almost definately find a trip to Mongolia most pleasurable. If you're horny, all the better!

Sadly, to all my non-asian-looking friends, that the safest bet, and the easiest bet for you guys now to pick up a girl is in Strings. Drunken chicks who went there with a mind to follow someone for the night, low count of Mongolian men (as compared to other clubs), good security, english is very commonly spoken here. I can't find a better place for us to be. In fact for me too, I'd prefer that place as its the easiest to hunt. All you got to do is buy them a drink, chat them up, dance with them (very important) and you're golden. Of course there are some occassional "untouchable" girls in strings but you've got to figure it out.

If you are a patient man, just sit by the bar, sip your drink and look around and try to catch glimpses of eyes looking back at you. It works that way too, but if you want to go chat up with them, go ahead, but observe first make sure no mongolian guys are around them. I've heard that recently, hostility of mongolian guys against foreigners hitting on the mongolian girls have gone up. So that's why, other clubs are really not the spot to pick if you are looking to hook up. Might get you into trouble.

The other place you can go hunting now is Irish pub. Look out for girls who are just sitting there by the bar eying them customers. Its also a foreigner-safe pub and would serve as a decent hunting ground, as one of our members have reported.

1) Top bars/clubs for foreigners

- Strings (live band, DJ house mix; the most foreigner friendly place, english most commonly spoken here and WGs no problem)

- Amrita (dance music, pole dancers, stripping girls at the stage; I used to go there last time, but it started to get a little bit dodgy and I wouldn't advise foreigners to go there without a local guide)

- Metropolis (trance, dance, rnb you name it. The mix is good; full of young and energetic teens but one of the hardest place to score)

- Face Club (milder music as compared to Metropolis; mix of young and old generations. Can be a good hunting place, but can get dangerous as well due to the low number of foreingers here)

The rest, I would say are not so foreigner friendly. My suggestion for you guys is, start off with Strings first and if you guys fell adventurous, be my guest.

2) Best Karaoke/KTV

- Chinggis Khan Hotel has a decent Karaoke place, quite pricy, but quite nice rooms and good selection of songs. Not sure about the girls here

- Seoul Club (Opposite Bayangol Hotel) has a decent karaoke room with girl services provided but you can't take them home for the night.

- There is one karaoke after the UB City bank (if UB city bank is on your right), keep going straight heading towards BATLAW FIRM and head towards the inside parts of the buildings on the right (opposite of BATLAW FIRM). You will see a karaoke inside there somewhere which has a good selection of songs, decent girls, and you can take the girl home after for a price of 40, 000tg. Be wary of the bill here, as they tend to overcharge on the drinks and the price can reach upto USD1000 if you are not careful as they tend to charge USD100 per bottle of vodka which they bought for USD15. So negotiate your drinking prices first.

- 3rd and 4th District, Michelle Karaoke. Decent place to have a karaoke, but its a clean place.

3) Best hotels

- White House Hotel. Most convenient if you plan to hang out in strings a lot as it is joined to strings. Girl friendly, price is around 80, 000tg per night. Decent rooms 've been to one of the rooms upstairs and I'll give it 3 1/2. 4 stars

- Chinggis Khan Hotel. Heard from Taloha that its good, but heard that you need to pay a little bit of $$ to bring a girl up. Expensive too and heard from other posts that this hotel seems to be the best in the city and is right behind the club Metropolis.

- Michelle Hotel. 40, 000tg per night. More like a luxury backpackers hotel. But is very very girl friendly. 2 1/2 stars. Located near Metropolis (500m)

- SunJin Grand Hotel. The only 5 star hotel here. Have not been there myself. Can't comment much about the girl friendly but heard it costs a whopping USD100 per night (minimum). Bad location as it is far off the city, about 15 mins drive

- Hotel Mongolia. USD250 a night (minimum), very very far off the city, unrelated to this topic, but if you all want a nice time with the scenery and hospitality, try here for a night.

- New-West Hotel. 70, 000tg a night. Girl friendly place. But quite far off the city near the 1st district. Takes you a 5-10 min taxi ride to get to the city.

- Narantuul Hotel. Think its 80, 000tg a night. Girl friendly. And smack in the city centre (at the end of the city though).

My advise would be Strings since you guys seem to want to look for a good time and its most convenient. You can party, see a girl, ask her to your room, have some fun, then get back down to the club in a jiffy for the next hunt.

And don't worry about the weather; I've lived in Korea where it got as cold as 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Even then, I always kept a window open so my place wouldn't be so stuffy! Sorry Jack. Didn't have internet access until now. String was closed unfortunately on Sat night, something about being closed every 15th for religious reasons. We did go there Thurs night and it was ok, but seemed like a slow night for the place.

We checked out a few other places (some which I can't recall the names), including Amrita, Metropolis, and Marco Polo. Marco Polo was actually pretty fun in a tame kind of way. The dancers were fairly exotic and they even had a contortionist dance show which was simply amazing. The girls ranged from boring to downright kinky (only one in the latter category), with most somewhere in between. The waitress/hostess (chubby with hu-normous breats) was quite funny and good for some laughs (just chatting, she's not a dancer).

Metropolis and Amrita were full of hotties, but also all locals and seemingly very few or perhaps zero working girls.

We found it VERY hard to monger in UB, since the locals are very protective of the girls and looking for a fight and don't blend with WG's as they do in other places in Asia. Also regular girls seemed much more interested in long-term relationships than hookups. Since Strings was closed, we had no other surefire options and so we basically just gave up on mongering and enjoyed the sights in the day.

All in all I'd say Mongolia is a great place to visit as a tourist, and the girls are exceptionally hot, but unless you have local connections (or perhaps stick to KTV's) there is no reason to go there to monger (for certain), and if you find yourself there you'd better be careful. We saw people getting beat up all over the place, and it was quite clear we could be next if not very careful.

Other than this, as I said the tourism was fantastic, and we really enjoyed the people (outside of bars). It's a great little country with a lot of potential - just don't go there to monger or you'll either be disappointed or otherwise actually hurt in the physical sense.

Thanks again Jack for the help. Wish we could have met at Strings and perhaps you could have shown us some of the ropes.

i'm really sorry that i was unavailable last friday as i was kinda busy with work. if i am not mistaken, every 15th of the month, mongolia does not sell liquor and hence i guess that’s why strings was closed that day. strings is kind of slow before midnight – but usually after midnight it picks up. friday and saturday as i would have mentioned before would be ideal for strings with lotsa working girls.

i’m glad somehow you and your pals feasted your eyes on some lovely woman there but i still feel bad that you guys didn’t manage to monger in mongolia – considering how easy it is here. marco polo would be a place where you can pick up girls too – did you guys try?

the good thing is you guys came out of metropolis or amrita unrep001hed. as i have warned before, the locals are hostile against their own girls getting picked up by foreigners hence strings is always the safest – well not 100% safe proof but safest.

Yeah, wish we could have really experienced Strings - I bet it is a blast when it's in its prime. That said, one bar does not a monger destination make (especially when there are literally 2000+ in Pattaya city alone), especially when there's risk of getting hassled and or beaten up. We saw it several times in three nights out, which is infinitely more than I've seen in all the years I've been in Asia and hanging in other places.

Funny, we did try at Marco Polo (but not really pushing for it). We got the impression we'd have to wait until they got off work and then it depended on the girl. Still, we liked the place for a casual and enjoyable start of the evening.

My take was that the regular girls there were among the best looking I've ever seen, but the WG scene was probably limited to Strings and a couple foreigner-friendly KTVs (and the ones we saw were just so-so). We were actually quoted prices of 300,000 in Strings. A friend managed to talk one down to 100,000, as did I, but the girl was such a money money money girl that I kicked her out after the deed (as did my friend). This is NOT my impression of Mongolian girls overall as I've met several WG's in the past who were amazing. As to non WG's, we found them to be nice, gracious, and very sweet.

Again, I don't think it's a monger destination at all, but a fantastic country nonetheless. I'll probably be back and will definitely look you up. Would love to get the "real" tour of the WG scene from you!

Thank you for not going for the 300,000 price as it would definately kill the market - although there is one girl in Strings who goes for 300,000 even to 500,000. Sure finding a connection of girls in Mongolia is good. But be wary as they will begin to get clingy on you if you are looking for freebies. This often leads to fights in clubs also whereby different groups of girls will go to the place you pick them up before and hunt for you again before realizing that you "moved on" and they will usually fight amongst themselves. Which is an ugly sight and which I encourage you to be wary who you build your bridges with in UB.

If u're unlucky, they might even come with some guy friends and ask their guy friends to pick up a fight with you. Just to teach "foreigners" a lesson. I've seen it happen before. And the results was ugly.

On another note. I hereby state that I am boycotting Silver for good. THey are starting to get greedy as they charge 25k usually, but as I paid, they started to create problems asking for more charges, said 30. Which I still didn't mind paying, then she asked for 35k. To which I responded to her, "fine I'll pay but I'll never return again"

So guys before you start any sessions/massages/sauna in there, ask for the price as Silver is getting kinda out of hand. Mongolia is a big hunting ground and we should not get pushed around by greedy rabbits.

You got to be kidding. The average monthly salary in UB is 350K Tugrik. But most make in the 200k Tugrik range as those that "have" skew the 350k Tugrik average. I won't tell you how to pay (see todays comments by Hummer Bird's in Cambodia - Other Areas) and I had a girlfriend in UB for 3 years and took care of her and the family for 350k Tugrik monthly. I began 3 years ago with 150k Tugrik and only this past year gave 350k Tugrik.

But I'm serious bout that chick that charges 300k-500k a night, reliable source but like I said never tried and never will.

Bout almost 7-8 years ago, you could get a girl for 10k-15k. The rates now are just.-

I'm in UB for a week staying at the Chinggis Khan Hotel. This is my first time in the area, and I've been interested in trying FS at a local MP. For various reasons, I'm constrained to finding action during the day. No visiting clubs or bars at night. It's pretty cold in the evenings anyways.

It is located between Irish Pub and UB Massage. If u drive down with Irish Pub on your left, keep going straight until you pass MCS Plaza and the massage place is on your left. It has a huge vertical signboard which is black with white wordings.

Left quickly and paid the money. Wouldn't suggest anyone to try it out.

I knocked on the door, 3 mongolian men opened the door and asked me what do I want, I asked is this place open and they replied "no". I still think this place has some massages and sauna as per the signboard. Maybe at night only, I don't know.

Went further down the road where opposite Flower Center, there was a signboard saying "traditional Mongolian oil massage, Japanese Massage, Thai Massage. Please use back door. Call xxx xxx xxx"

Went to the back door, it was code-locked and as I didn't know the code, tried calling both land lines and cellphone to which both were unavailable. I even got a guy near me to see if he could "figure" the code as based on the stains on the code metal door, u can see the frequent numbers if you look carefully for some doors. As he couldnt figure it out, I left promptly and went home.

Other places which i use to visit is now closed and I am running out of places to go already. Perhaps will venture more around the inside skirts of buildings when I am free.

Went to a massage centre in Sansar (opposite SOS)

Was an underground massage and the settings are sorta runned downed.

Girls there were quite cute, and the massage style is the same as UB Massage or Mercy Massage.

If you have a group of friends in Mongolia, or if you have a live-in girlfriend/wife, may I suggest that you and your pals, or you alone, just rent a one room apartment. Decent one about USD500 per month. Use it as a love shack, or whatever you want it for. That way, you can have the comfort of your own home whenever you want to bring a girl there.

In strings, keep eye contact, smile, wink, offer them a beer, ask the waiter behind the bar to pass them a drink etc.

If you want more action, head to the dance floor. Probably get some there too.

With regards to amrita, I would say its not a safe place to go alone if you look foreign. Get a local to go with you. To be honest, if you are at UB bank, a lot of clubs are accesible. Like Face Club, or Metropolis, Silence or even Medusa

You can even try Mass club down the street of the main road near UB Palace. There's a lot of place to drink and club, but the safest bet for a foreigner is always Strings. Less trouble with the locals.

UB Massage lost their lease on Seoul St and moved to a less convenient area to the west. It's not a place you'd walk to but they will make every effort to get you to there. The place is a lot like the old shop, same cute masseuses, same friendly service. You can call and usually get the owner Mongo who speaks some English. She sent a lady to pick me up and afterward called a taxi to get me home. When you go you can get a card with a map that a cab driver can follow the next time, and this month get a 40% discount.

Short story - call 55252800 or 88008484. Get the oil massage 20,000 tugs for a great 1-hour massage, happy ending included for sure. Each lady has a different handjob technique and it's very affordable to collect them all.

The 30-minute body wash will get you cleaner than you have ever been, but is pretty intense and not especially erotic.

Lenience - apparently the expat miners and drillers have been using the Casablanca bar as their "local" for 3 or 4 years now so I think everyone is used to them being there. There was always a heap of guys in there (some pretty wild and redneck) when i stayed at the Bayangol March - July, 2008, but they didn't seem to take much notice of the girls.
My experience was that the Casablanca girls always started high regarding prices in the hope of catching a newbie but when you laughed and walked away the offers were revised downwards quickly especially if you looked half decent and professional. I had one girl come with me upstairs for $40 and then said that $20 would be OK in future if ever I "needed" a woman because she knew I was staying in the hotel and was a longer-term stayer. She wasn't that good but she was a good back-up whenever the need arose.

I usually pay my bill weekly so I can watch the add-on costs and also avoid having to check a big bill at the end of a long stay.
I was surprised to see that they had charged me a fee for having a guest in my room on 3 occasions in Week 1. It was an extra $12 per night (I have a special corporate rate for long -stay). I was intrigued how they knew I had a guest as at least twice we had dined in the restaurant and then slipped upstairs. The desk manager told me they have CCTV monitoring all floors.
It will not stop me from bringing back an occasional girl now and again but it is worth knowing for those of you planning to use the hotel.

UB Hotel is perfect for me as it is close to my work place but mongers should maybe check out the new Springs Hotel that is situated across from UB Hotel on the other side of Peace Avenue and near "River Sounds live music club". I think it is girl friendly. Another bonus is the the UB Massage that used to be along Seoul Street is about to open a new branch in the Springs Hotel too.

That's the trick I tried too Lenience in UB Hotel. I first went to the restaurant on the 2nd floor and also the Indian Restaurant on the 6th floor. I learned from my friendly doorman that they have a CCTV on each floor so they got me using that.
I have now learned from my friendly receptionist (helps to have in-house friends) that I can have guest in room up to 12 midnight free of charge but after that they have to charge me guest fee.
As I said earlier, no big deal for me as it will be on the weekend only that I may want a girl to stay LT - I will pay the joiner fee as I already have a good discount on the room anyway. This past week Mon - Friday I have been happy to have a friend join me after work/university around 6pm and have a 3 or 4 hour intensive session and then let her head off home around 10pm as I have to work next day anyway.

The place is dirty, and thin walls meant I heared everything. Ray sniffled every 30-45 seconds; I know I am going to get her cold. On top of that, she was chewing gum like a cowboy chews tobacco. Her massage technique was maximum pressure up to and including intentional pain. No happy ending was offered and at that point, none was desired. Avod at all costs. At least it was an honest hour. If you speak Mongolian or Russian, you might be able to avoid some of this. But I don't speak the lingo(s).

the facility is new, clean, and attractive. a word to dedicated mongers. this place is about massage; the happy ending is just that. flirting and roaming at the end, only. let the staff members do their jobs.

i was shown to my cubicle by an attractive, tallish masseuse, who helped me disrobe, and escorted me to the scrub room, where she passed me off to a cute, petite spinner. "costumes" are pleasing to the eye without sending erotic signals. i had opted for the deluxe body wash, which was just that. if you have sensitive skin, beware. the regime starts off with a relatively abrasive bath mitt wash, and progresses through four stages of successively less abrasive mitts. it is thorough, pampering, attentive, and a bit of an ego trip to have so much attention paid for so long a time by such a cute gal. she offers the option of a shampoo, which then results in her cleaning your ears with her little fingers! c. l. e. a. n.

after drying you off, she escorts you back to the cubicle for your massage by your original attendant. the japanese hot massage is just that. she wraps you up in several layers of steaming hot, damp towels and massages through that for perhaps 10-12 minutes, including just the right amount of back-walking. then she peels off the towels, covers you to keep you warm, and then applies hot oil to a limb and goes to work with long, professional strokes and pressure at just the right places. the boys occasionally get jangled a bit (the masseuse is not shy), but that is incidental. upon the flip, same drill top side. this is professional massage at its best. my only criticism is the hole in the table for your face. it is poorly executed and not as comfortable as it should b. with about five minutes to go, she coyly taps willy and asks if you'd like him massaged, too. i don't know if anyone has ever said no, and i didn't. she positioned herself to allow some limited below-the-belt roaming, and spent about five very, very skillful and enjoyable minutes on the little guy, who of course was less little than a while back. end, clean-up, tea or coffee (your choice), a hug and a smile, and on your way.

I decided to wander over to River Sounds last night to check it out after visiting a few times in 2008.
Arrived around 11 pm and the place was just getting going.
Live band was very average, and the atmosphere was pretty flat and didn't seem to be likely to get going either.
Quite a few girls had rolled in by 1pm and were starting to make the eye contact around the bar area.
Foreigners beware of the "drink waiters" - guys in white shirts serving drinks. The waiter serving me was obviously running a scam. I bought a draft beer and paid on the spot and he gave me change out of his wallet (no bar chit). I never really thought much about it until I went to pay for 3 beers (I bought 2 for 2 lovely ladies). He told me a ridiculous price which I queried (as I had seen the price list); he backed off and apologised for making a mistake and again gave me change out of his own pocket with no bar chit. I asked for a receipt and he laughed and said not to worry about it, and then started getting aggro.
I decided to leave soon after.

This guy was obviously pocketing the money and not putting it into the bar. It seems this place is not well-run or supervised if staff can do this sort of thing, and it usually rings alarm bells for me that maybe other things will not be good either.

The sun has been out for around 4 consecutive days now in UB and the temperature has gone into positive territory.
It is the signal for the girls to remove the big thick coats and to get into the really tight, figure hugging tops, but still the really tight jeans and long boots with heels too.

1. She means 4/5 girls there when u called (daytime?) or 4/5 girls available. They have MANY more girls than that.

Wow there are some stunning girls here in UB! Last night I was at the Irish Bar and there were a lot of very good looking and sexy girls in there. Seems like a difficult place to approach girls though especially as a single lone guy. Seems like everyone would be watching and not really sure if its a straight out mongering palce or not. Loads of single girls drinking in groups but no real eye contact that screams out "I am on the game".

Please could someone let me know where is Strings exactly? I am staying at Bayongol Hotel, is it walking distance from here? The girls in casablance make it pretty obvious they are on the game but they are all fuglies unfortunately.

I took a girl last night from Casablanca in the basement of the Bayongol Hotel. She was 23 and pretty cute. The Irish Pub is not a pick-up place so your caution is well-placed. There are always lots of stunners around in all bars and restaurants, usually in small groups.
However, many of these girls are NOT single. It is just customary for them to go out in all-girl groups. Their husbands will either be out with the boys in all-male groups or working outside the country or in the countryside (mining etc). Some of them are also mistresses of the wealthy and well-connected guys and so have money to play with but are not necessarily available. Believe me you do NOT want to [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) off a Mongolian guy. They move in groups and they have nasty tempers. They also don't like foreigners moving in on their girls and their turf but they begrudgingly accept it happens. Just don't give them a reason to turn their jealousy into violence.
I have never had any problems but I am also very discreet.

One strategy that has worked for a me a couple of times is to have dinner at the Irish Pub and take a good look around when you are there and then move on to Strings. Some of these groups of girls also move on to Strings. It is a great opportunity to go up to a girl and say how you saw her at the Irish Pub earlier and how pleased you are that she is now here. As I said, I recall twice this happened and each time I had a companion for the evening.

The girls everywhere (including Casablanca) will all ask for $100 if you ask them but they will quickly come down to $50. I offer 60,000 Tugs which is a little less than $50 (67,500 MT = $50 USD)
