I cannot belive that no one has posted about action in Nepal. There are so many Nepali babes in the sex industry in India. There has got to be some action.
Guys post some experiences and pointers.
The Thamel section in Kathmandu has many massage parlours. There is an upfront fee for the massage, and the "extras' are arranged through the lady and whoever is in charge. Prices are pretty steep for full service, I wasn't in the position to "dicker".
$50-100USD! The girls were fantastic, really gorgeous, and a good lay! Get there early, as most of them close up shop by 8:30PM. A good guide may be able to show you around outside Thamel, and I bet the prices are much less. Nepali women are gorgeous!

Hell most people in Nepal don't make $100 a month. The price as I recall it was more around $20-25.
Haven't been in Nepal for about six months, but I lived there close to three years. Here's the scoop - Most of the action for foreigners centers around Thamel section of Kathmandu. There's massage parlors all over and most will try and rip you off for a butt-ugly girl. But there's a couple that have quite a better selection with cleaner rooms available. On the north end of Thamel - at "kukuri corner" the place that is an open knife bazaar, second north-bound street - hang a right and find the hotel "Moondrops" or something like that almost across from the beer joint called Club 99 Degrees. Top floor and the madam's name is Renu. Being fluent in Nepali I spent quite a bit of time aculturating her to western ways and as far as I know I've been the only foreigner in her shop. She owns half of the "Mount Treks" massage parlor across the street right next to the Club 99 Degrees that's more oriented to westerners but there's only one or two decent girls in there and they'll expect you to come back a second time before offering FS.
For a half-hour massage and everything else expect to pay Rs1500 to 2000 (about $20 to $25). Privately negotiated with the girl you can probably get LT for Rs. 3000 but she'll be extreemly shy about going to your hotel - especially if it's in Thamel. Pick a lively girl as they're more into it, otherwise its typically just pulling up the skirt for a quick bang. And don't get too uptight with people knocking on the door and asking the girls how much longer - unless you spring for a private room - its very Nepali custom to not think about privacy. Everything's semi-public!
You'll hear a lot about dance bars and "cabin restaurants" but these have really curtailed their illegitamate business in the last year. Only well-established customers can get any action there. You'll also hear a lot about high-class girls - either movie "stars" or the girls who work in the casinos. I never had all that much cash while living there - about $100 a month - so I'm really not to sure about this. Based on my experience - it is available but only to select circles of Nepali men. Unless you're there for some serious business and are working with the right crew - forget it.
Despite the heavy amount of traficking of Nepali girls for Indian brothels, there really isn't a historical precident for sex tourism. Nepali's are pretty prudish and very worried about "correct" behavior. Outside of Kathmandu, while you can now hold a conversation with a woman - especially if she's a married woman - don't expect to walk down the street with her. She'll be worried that people will think you're in love - remember the long tradition of arranged marriages and not "love marriage." In Kathmandu, you'll find some liberally minded Nepali maidens from time to time and I wish you the best of luck.

hey all,
i have lived in nepal for about 14 years, and the only way you are going to have any luck is to go to the massage parlours. you should ask for a massage, then negotiate if they ask you what you want. be direct. you might have to visit once or twice and get a real rub down, but 90% of these girls are pros. you should not pay more than 1500 to 2000 rupees. this is on the high end, and it is common for frequent customers to get services for 500 rupees.
i have had luck at some of the discos and dance bars, but it is difficult, especially if you don't speak the language.
I`ve been to Kathmandu in September 2002 coming back from a trekking tour in the Himalayas and decided to do some research on the ladies.
First some basics:

Good place to stay in Thamel: Kathmandu Guest House (2,50$ -25$ per night. If you bring a guest just register her and pay double room charge)
You can get very good food from pizza to steaks or any asian variety in Kathmandu for a very low price. Expensive dinner will be around 5$ but you can also eat good for as low as 0,50$
Nepalis in general are very friendly and you should never have a problem there as long as you stay friendly to. Crime against tourists does nearly not exist. Police never bothers with tourists but is helpful when you need them. If you have a problem allways go to the tourist police at Durbar Square.y
Now about the girls:
Your best and easiest choice is allways a massage parlour in Thamel. Prices of 2000 RP are only the first asked price. Allways bargain and you should not pay more than 1200 RP for a lay. Plus whatever you pay for the massage which should be between 1500 and 2000Rp for two hours of good massage.
This will be true for nearly all massage parlours. Some don`t offer full-service but just ask the girl for "special-service". The girls are mostly 18-20 with some real beauties. Most spek a little english but don`t plan on a nice conversation. I never tried to take them to my hotel, but most hotels shouldn`t be a problem, a little gift for the manager allways works whatever you want.
Another place to pick up girls is the dynasty club. There are many professional and semi-professional girls who will go to a hotel with you. They offer to go to their place, but you don´t want to stay in a nepali appartment if it´s not in a better area of KTM. But if the girls would live their they wouldn´t be working.
Also the small retaurants and bars around the dynasty club are a good place to find girls.
Besides that prostitution is more undercover than in any other asian country i`ve been to. But with a little bit of trying you find what you want. If you like a girl and become a regular she will go down with prices.
Best thing to do if you found a nice girl is ask here to join you on a 2 or 3 day trip to Nargakot about 1 hour outside of Kathmandu. A taxi should cost about 700RP. Stay in the hotel "Naked chef" good rooms and excellent food. Not expensive. The girl Should get about 50-100$ (3500-7000RP), depending on her "performance".
So if you heading to Nepal for trekking trying out the local girls is a good idea, but if you want nothing more then hot action you better head to Thailand.

All Nepali girls in India are working as slaves, they see nothing of the money you pay. All goes to the boss. The HIV-rate among them is nerly 90%. In Nepal most girls work for their own, and get a fixed percentage of the money the customer pays, or if she doesn´t work in a massage parlour keeps all. They are not stupid and know what they can get, but paying more than 1500 in a massage parlour is stupid.

I think you will do fine if you stick to the parlours, but there is always a chance to meet some of the upper class girls who are not pros, but who do hang out in some of the drinking places in Thamel. Go to the places that play music and offer dance opportunities for guests. They come and go, and I don't know what is open now in Thamel. These girls will speak English and might be open to company. Don't get your expectations too high, but I have been lucky in the past.
Regarding the parlours, they are exclusively in the Thamel area. Ones that you see elsewhere will not take kindly to more purient activities. Don't feel shy about going into all the places you see in Thamel and taking a look around. Wait until you see a girl who rocks you, then ask for a massage with her. In the room alone with the girl you indicate your desire (bring your own rubbers). If she does not speak Enlgish, make the American sign for OK, and stick your finger through the hole while imploring her with your eyes. As a massage girl, you will not shock her, the worst will be that she says she does not do this or cannot because the manager will catch her. If you are persistent you will probably achieve your objective.

A few words that are understood in any parlour that you can add to lanc-a-lot's advice, what I call Nepenglish:
"enjoy garnay" - garnus is Nepali for "to do"
"time pass" - something you'll hear in even the remotest villages
Just know that Nepalis who speak fluent English will curse like a sailor, but if you say even the most innocuous curse in Nepali they'll get offended. So, act accordingly and edit the vocab list I left earlier.
Regarding Westernized women in K-du, tread lightly. It's hard to tell who'll hold a lot of stock in the caste system and Hindu ideology - some of the most modern looking might consider any liason with a foreigner (or anyone before marriage) to be a polluting experience. A general rule of thumb is if you can get the girl on a "date" you won't have to worry too much about trying to move things further. My advice is to try the more "asian" looking girls - Tibetan, Gurung, Sherpa, Tamang, etc. - as they'll likely be of the Buddhist persuasion and perhaps more open to having an affair.
I'll probably be heading to K-du in mid-May for the summer - with a couple of weeks stopover in Bangkok on the way. Keep me posted about your travel plans - maybe I can act as your "afno manche" and introduce you to a couple of establishments.

I will also be swinging down into SE Asia, which of course will include a night or two in BK. I AM familiar with that city!

Great info guys. I will have a few nights stop over in KT in April. I will be visiting one (or more) of the aforementioned massage parlors. I note they shut at about 8.30pm. What time are they open for business and what is a good time to turn up for the best selection of girls?

8:30 might be a bit late for the closing times - things might have changed in the last six months but plan on around 7pm closing. Opening hours - try your luck - rice eating time for the girls is probably around 10am. Probably the best time to go is early afternoon - 12 to 2 or so - and early evening around 5ish. Between 2 and 5 you'll probably catch the employees napping - which might be nice as you can walk in and check out the quality without getting the hard sell put on you!

Well, back in K-du after a year away and alot has changed without anything changing. On the mongering front, the only reliable MP in Thamel (above Hotel Moodrops) has closed down and Renu, the proprieter, has moved back to Chitwan. The rest of the MPs are suffering from the tourist slump. Only the regular - and quite a bit older - 'girls' are working now and they've become rather greedy. Not at all a good situation as they're the unattractive and used-up variety. The discos (MoonSun, Dynasty, etc.) are slim on the action as well. The ladies there don't seem at all the working type and this culture it would be a bit uncouth to ask them in an up-front way. Before the slump, they'd give you little signals (like an 'o.k.' sign but with the circled fingers pointing straight-out meaning a nice tight slit). Cabin and dance restaurants are still open, but they've always been a cheat - lots of tease with no follow-through, much like strip clubs in the states but without the nudity. My Nepali friends assure me that the taxi drivers who offer can follow through. I've never tried this route but may give it a shot and report later. In the meantime, the best options are to live in and involve yourself in the Nepali culture and try to hook up with a married woman who's husband is working in India or to just skip the connecting flight in Bangkok or New Delhi and get your fill in these reliable locations.

Just spent a week in Kathmandu & environs. Was not on the prowl so cannot say for sure, but generally agree w/ the more experienced on this page - skip it, mongers.
This is a backward, undeveloped region and there is currently a heavy dose of political pressure cooking going on. Even I would not have mongered there - you could easily wind up w/ a cab driver taking you to some remote corner & get your throat cut with a (army issue) Ghurka knife.
The poor & desperate abound and if it can't be had in Thamel then the cabbie's gonna take you out way out to some shantytown. Been there, done that!
It is an amazing place, but be safe; save it for bangkok!

Yeah, things in Nepal are getting rougher. Thamel is still the most reliable place. I found some of the old parlours open, and even some new places, but that was in March. I will be up there again in a few weeks and report back on the situation.
well, toward the time i was getting ready to head out to bangkok, i decided i needed to enjoy the company of a nepali lady before i left. that, and going through the marriage negotiations with my sweetheart got me in the mood, so i decided to explore some of the haunts in thamel.
i found only one of the old reliables to have something other than old haggard didis for company. it's a no-name mp i've posted on before. right across the street from the pilgram's bookstore entry/exit doors is a hallway art gallery that leads to stairs that go up to both an eatery on the 2nd floor and the mp on the third floor. they're the only one's i found that had younger, pretty company.
pretty much the standard drill. walk in and ask "pouncha/pai-incha" ("available") and act like you've been there before. otherwise they'll ask way too much for the massage. expect 500-600 for an hour. first visit will get you a hj, price negotiable but expect 500 rupees. second visit they'll offer fs for rs. 3000 but expect rs. 1000-1500. just say that another place offered for rs. 500 because that's the local price.
both visits had two 20-21 yo women offering services. both pretty cute and of the ethnic varieties. don't expect much in the way of frolicking or foreplay. they do the scared act to make you feel that it's not a standard practice and that they're doing you a favor.
again, i recommend getting your pleasures in bkk before/after the connecting flights to ktm. but, if you want to say you've been with a nepali, thamel is still the reliable source.
I will be there in Oct 2003. Yes I will be stopping in BKK to romp on the way back to New York. But I would love to sample some Nepali pussy.

Was in Kathmandu during the first week of Nov. From postings here, I went around the Thamel area, and finally selected a massage parlor on the first floor. It was like a small lodge with the ofice in one romm and the massage room on the opposite side. There was a cute Nepali girl at the office desk, and she asked for Rs 800 for 1 hr.
Another girl came fo the massage who was nice looking.
As soon as I took of my clothes, except my briefs she asked, pointing at my dick, whether I wanted a hand job. I said later, and she started massaging me. Kathmandu - Thamel area: it's the only place in Nepal after a 3 weeks trekking- and sightseeing tour, where P4P was found.
Although a cute waitress (22 years and divorced) in a 5star hotel in Pokhara responded to my advances - unfortunately no time left to proceed further.
Procedure in the massage joints as described by other mongers already. Just want to add, that a full massage/sex-package (1 shot) can be had for 1000 Rupiah (=14.-US$) without much of haggling. On one occasion I just was in the mood for a good massage for 500 Rps and got a HJ for free - well, actually for a 100 Rps tip. On another occasion I was happily paying altogether 2000 Rps (500 Rps = massage fee to mamasan, 1500 Rps = sex fee to the girl) for 2 hours of unlimited debauchery with a rather pretty massage girl.
In the big hotels, massage offered is mediocre but expensive (Hyatt = 3000 Rps for 1 hour) and no add-on's offered or discussed.
Perhaps December is off season. It may look different between March to June.
Hi there. I hope to be making a 4-day trip to Kathmandu soon. I take it from these posts that it's not a very easy place to get things up front. I guess I'll just have to see what the situation is like for myself when I get there. I have a friend arranging my accomm so don't know how guest friendly it will be. Mind u it doesn't seem like the ladies ar too keen on going to hotels anyway!

Those are some tough translations because neither is really acceptable according to Nepali culture - for high caste folks, oral sex is considered sinful even. It does happen, of course, and I'll give it my best shot.
Sex = maya garne (love do/make) or chicknu (vulgar - to fuck)
Cock = lingham, mulah (lit. radish) or lado (vulgar)
Pussy = yonni or puti (vulgar)
So BJ = lado khane (lit eat cock) or chummnu (to suck)
DATY = puti khane or chussnu (to lick)
Always tried to translate "ass" and the closest I got was "chaak phwaal" (lit. ass hole but the type of hole as in a drain - they just don't use the word). You could try "pachade maya garne suckcha" (lit. in back love make can). Good luck. I'll be in K-du in a few days and it'll take a few more to get settled.
I have been to Kathmandu a few times myself on work. But have not yet checked out the scene there.
I normally stay at the Hyatt and wanted to know if the hotel is guest friendly. Also would like to know if anyone can give me contact of a service provider, who can provide service in a hotel.

The Hyatt is pretty upscale and in a fairly remote location considering action - near Boudha. As far as guests are concerned, I'd expect little trouble as it's not like a scene in LOS where all the staff would know what's going down. Besides, that lobby is so cavernous I'm sure that you could sneak many guests through without any notice.
Not many folks in Nepal have telephones, much less cell phones so getting a contact number for a SP is unlikely. At a place like the Hyatt, Yak & Yetti, Soaltee, etc. I'd wonder about asking a bellboy to set you up. Word on the street is that these places can tap into an informal network of more up-market SPs - models, actresses, etc. That's the rumor anyhow but I'd expect something could be arranged. Now, the Rocks Bar at the Hyatt is where many of the country's elite go to party and I'd expect you may be able to find something there. Based on one experience I had in such a place, it'd be a good idea to make sure that none of the Royal family is there - I once had a date describe how she'd been hit on by the husband of the former princess and when he found out she was Nepali (thought she was Indian) he warned her off as there 'could be trouble for her.' Just ask a bartender and if there is a royal presence, steer clear of any woman around his entourage.
One experience leads me to believe there might be a brothel in the area around Hyatt. Years ago, we asked a cabbie to take us to a place where we could find women, and he dropped us at this bar on the way to Hyatt. Now these dance bars are on the skids and many shut down these days - not that they were anything more than a ripp-off - but at this one we noticed a few women in the back room. At the time, didn't have the language skills and nothing came of it.
Like I said, your best bet would be to ask a hotel employee to try and set something up or see what's happening in the hotel bar. Otherwise, it's a Thamel MP or trolling for SWs near the Bir Hospital opposite Ratna Park - but you wouldn't want to take any of these ladies to your hotel.

good to see that you are still about too. I have not been back to Nepal for about six months (lived there for about ten years). I still work and play in Asia, and get back to K'du once or twice a year. It took me about two years living in country to tap into the monger scene, but was evetually able to find a lot of networks that offered services. I think that the language ability helps a lot. I have lost touch with the inside scene, but still know people there that are in with it. We used to have a girl who worked as a dancer in one of the sleaze joints you mention, and she would hook us up with girls she knew (fellow dancers for the most part, but some general free lancers looking for spare cash too) in her apartment. A bit more pricey than MPs, but more relaxed and sometimes you could find a real looker. One time a rather buxom gal claimed to be a popular dancer from Nepali films. She had the looks, and big tits for a Nepali, but I could never confirm her alleged fame. Didn't really care that much actually.
The far west of Nepal was really much more open than Kathmandu. Nepal Gunj had a district populated by the Badiya, but they have moved on to a village near Mahendranagar (the Badiya are a tribe of entertainers in which the women work as prostitutes and the men lounge about and do little to nothing).
And there was a food stall north of Pokhara on the road to Baglun that I stopped in once to find that an elderly Gurung couple ran it while their three daughters rather openly entertained men in the back room. Economics I suppose.
One of the oddest encouters I had was during a visit to the police station for official reasons when I happened by the holding cells. Out looked a familiar face, followed by excited chatter and more heads. The cops had run a raid and herded a bunch of the girls from MPs in for the day (they do this a few times a year) and the girls had recognized me. They couldn't contain their surprise at seeing me walking around the place, and I almost shat myself thinking they would start calling out to me.
I guess my point is, that after many years in South Asia it strikes me that a lot of paid for sex is available, and a lot that is free too, but it just is not as easy or obvious as in many other places, such as Thailand. I have had girls in MPs absolutely offended when I tried to shed their panties, and had secretaries in NGOs come visit me wanting anonymous sex. One girl who was about to go to university in the US asked me to have sex with her so she would not go abroad a virgin (absolute truth). I still love Nepali women more than any other country I have visited. I think they can be the most beautiful of any of the Asian countries I have seen. But it does take time to get to know them, and a bit of luck too.

I'm also back in-country after a six month break - could be here either six months or a year and a half this time around. Previous stint was three years but all of that in a village and a distant district center. Only every couple of months would I get into K-du or Pokhara and that's how I got the impression that getting action is about the same as finding beef - all in the tourist areas or upscale joints. I did establish a friendly relationship with a woman who owned a MP in Thamel and this particular one was exclusive for middle - upper-middle class Nepalis. She was part owner of Mt. Trekking as well and after I had finished some action there she was asking my SP what was up with the kuire. Good thing I had the language down as that opened the doors for me a bit.
Last time around - this past summer - got a thing going with an INGO receptionist. She was divorced and from a high brahmin caste so you can imagine that the relationship was both on the down-low and not too sexually satisfying. With the upper-castes, oral is considered a pretty big sin. It ended when she wanted me to marry her - she wanted to be a typical Nepali wife and take care of my parents!
This stint I'm centered in Lalitpur - the heart of INGO country and the upscale fashion district. I'm hoping that I will not have to go back to the MPs or get into another super-secret liason.

This is my first post to the forum, funny it's about such an off-the-wall place like Nepal. Agree with fellow mongers that Nepal is not a primo destination, but action there came as a surprise. Went to one MP in Thamel across the street from Scenic Adventures and a pharmacy, up on the 1st floor. Kind of dirty, and I just wanted a massage to get the kinks out of my legs after a long trek.
Lots of Nepali girls and one smoking pimp hanging out talking loudly on the other side of the hanging sheet while the massage girl, a 3 at best, worked away. Lousy massage too. Papers reported a bomb blast at a Thamel MP yesterday. Evidently, Maoists rushed in to the MP office (which was located in a room of the hotel) ordered the staff to leave the building, and then set off the bomb. There wasn’t any mention of customers at the MP at time. The incident occurred at 7:20pm, which is after or very close to the usual MP closing time. I’m not sure if I’ve seen this particular MP before – located in the Classic Downtown guesthouse – but there’s so many small places I see a new one every time I head down a different street.
Assessment for mongers. First, I wouldn’t sweat it too much. Maoist incidents are few and far between in the Thamel section – though it has happened and will happen again in the future, incidents have usually been early evening, just when it gets dark. Second, most of the more accommodating and customer-friendly MPs are on the upper floors of guest houses. This allows for two important safety considerations (both legal and physical): private rooms are available and parties must go through the guesthouse lobby to reach the MP. The MPs I’ve frequented in the past had a bell system rigged up so that the hotel staff can alert the MP of approaching customers or police. For those skiddesh, safety-minded mongers, this would seem a more conducive type of MP to search-out. The private room should run about Rs. 250 (about $3.50) for the session and will be more conducive to SP negotiations and will be cleaner compared to the typical foam matt on the common room floor.
I’ve been getting the itch lately and planning to inventory some good MPs – especially on the south side of Thamel. This past week’s ‘bundhs” (general strikes) have kept me home-bound and today is the festival of Holi – so there’s gangs of kids with water balloons just waiting to pelt passer-bys – especially us foreigners – so it’ll be a few days until I get around to it.

Thamel, your knowledge of Kathmandu is impressive, but what do you make of the fact that the Maoists apparently directly targeted this place?

why the maoists would've targeted these places is a good question - mainly because these were more out of the way places without a very public profile. this leads me to think that the targeting was done for two possible reasons: either the places were known for being frequented by upper-middle to upper level government types (including police and army personnel) and/or the places failed to pay their 'protection' money. the other possible explaination - that the maoist affiliated nepal women's organization stepped up one of their periodic campaigns (the other being for liquor prohibition) - doesn't seem to fit too well. if this were the case the mps with a higher public profile would've been targeted.
of course these are just my best guesses. i haven't been to thamel in the last month or so since the 5-party political agitations started. while the agitations don't spill over into the thamel area, they do cut me off from the commute from where i live. for mongers (or tourists for that matter) visiting, the agitations don't really matter too much as long as one basis himself in the thamel ghetto. some of the more upscale hotels are nearby the palace and the ratna park area (famous for sws in the evening) and could lead to some mobility trouble.
of interest are a few editorials in the local english language papers about the sex trade. started with a call for legalization and control of sex work - a la singapore. this was quickly followed by an editorial by a fairly prominant journalist who was all in favor of the move as the women engaged in sex work were better off - i.e. more highly paid for less work. imho, this is a fairly classic nepali response to a very nepali centered contextualization of sex work that doesn't consider that sex work is really a profession of last resort that's a result of poverty, traficing, and/or [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123). in my experience the sex work that foreing mongers experience doesn't too often fall into this context - the women are mostly there by choice. but if this idea is taken to conclusion, don't expect nepal to become another singapore or thailand. at best, there will evolve some upscale escort and mp services but it still won't be a mecca like se asia.

Had to take care of visa stuff so I found myself near Thamel after a bit of an absense. Went for a visit to one of my old standbys that is mentioned in the archieves - the place directly across from Pilgram's Book Store's entrance, through an entry that doubles as an art gallery, on the thrid floor. They've got a new crop of girls in, mostly in the last month or two, and some are pretty cute. The downside is that they're no longer offering FS or, at least, are being extreemly down-low about it as I'm a known entity to them. Expect high quoted prices but tell them that you've paid only Rs. 500 for a 1 hr. in the past. HJs are running Rs. 500 and they are pretty open about the payment - no longer on the down-low to the girl now paid to the papasan. Sorry to say that I still haven't gotten around to doing an assesment of the broader Thamel scene. Maybe once the daily political agitations slow down.
RE: Godavari Resort. The place is way to upscale for me to even venture a comment. While a beautiful location, there's only this one place there and is about an hour to K-du, hour and a half to anywhere in K-du. On the upside, Godavari is a day-trip destination for the more well-to-do class and you'll have the opportunity to meet lots of college girls in the botanical gardens if your timing is right. You'll just have to work some magic with them - which in Nepal means very slow and steady and lots of luck to find the one who is interested in more than 'friendship.' The resort itself will see more expats and well-off couples for weekend getaway packages and BBQs. So, not alot of hope there.
I've heard that the heavily starred hotels and resorts that some of the employees will have contacts for the upscale (read: college girl or film actress) SPs. Think carefully about who you approach, though, as some employees may be offended by your asking. Otherwise, it's the Thamel MP scene which, in your case, is a bit of travel to get to.

Papers report that police just raided eight MPs in Thamel – arresting seventeen girls and ten clients. The only details about the clients mentioned is that one was Indian, leading me to believe most were locals. It’s hard to imagine that there would be that many mongers spread out over even eight MPs to create those numbers. The Kathmandu Post details that there are 60 MPs “in almost every alternate building in Thamel” and that a local NGO believes that services are on offer in seventy-five percent of these. I haven’t been around Thamel for a few weeks and so don’t know the whole skinny, but, IMHO, it sounds that these MPs that got raided are the ones that cater to local clientele – in my surveys of the area I counted less than 20 MPs in the area. These are the ones with signs in English that are accessible to mongers and mostly put themselves up therapy for sore trekkers but will offer HJs and maybe full menu after a few visits. So, I don’t believe that the paltry mongering opportunities will be impacted all that much. In the past I’ve always said that Nepal’s not a place for easy mongering and it looks like this assessment continues to ring true.

Hello all,
First, let me warn all of you traveling to Nepal that it is not the safest place to be right now, so if you have to go, be careful! I highly recommend that you register with the embassy and hire a guide to help smooth things out. A guide can take you places that you normally can't go or don't know about *safely*. Read below. Also, P4P is illegal in Nepal so you need to be careful. The Nepalis would rather export their sex trade to India.
My friend and I were working in the middle east last year and took a week long trip to Kathmandu. We needed to see something green, and outside Dubai or Bahrain P4P is hard to find and heavily policed. When we arrived we got a van to a decent hotel called Courtyard Hotel, and agreed with the driver to hire his services for the week as our personal guide. It was the best thing we ever did. He was at our beckon call at all times, and quickly became a trustworthy friend and sidekick. Plus, he worked for gratuity, meaning we would pay him whatever we thought was fair at the end of our business.
Our guide, Ashok, opened many doors for us, getting us private dining rooms and service at restaurants (with no increase in the unbelievably low prices), as well as processed quickly through military checkpoints when we traveled. When we needed cigarettes he bought them out of his own pocket, he paid for his own gas, is was very dutiful. We went everywhere, and always with him as our guide. It was very convenient and relaxing.
The real benefit however came in the P4P arena. My friend is a real sex addict; I was a little trepidatious about asking as Nepal was just so culturally enlightening. But my friend asked Ashok, who at first took us to an AMP in Thamel. Coming recently from Dubai, we were very disappointed. My friend and I were in the same room and separated only by a curtain. My gal rubbed me down and them offered me a happy ending, but I refused. I could do as much for myself and in the privacy of my own room! My friend who actually would have accepted the HJ wasn't even offered, so it wasn't at all what we were looking for.

The place was an old Chinese woman's house which was small but clean. Like most local homes there was no running water; it had to be carried by bucket from a well into a well in the house. The girls were all very young Nepali girls, aged maybe 18-23. It was hard to tell as some looked as though they may be as young as 16, but nothing blatant and the girls did not at all act as if they were enslaved. It was a very warm atmosphere, as the girls sat with the chinese lady who would cook for them or sing together, or play cards, it was like walking into a P4P convent!

He looked at the money and was incredulouos saying "This is too much!". Perhaps so, but he was just so great and has his own family to take care of that we insisted. He actually does pretty well, he has a house with electricity and a car for his guide business. I guess the average income in Nepal is like $400/year, so we must have paid him well, and he earned every penny.
My friend has since gone back to Nepal by himself and reenlisted Ashok's services. He says that he had an even better time than last time with Ashok again as his guide.
Bottom like: AMPs in K-town are a rip-off, and despite what you've heard there are better alternatives. The principle rule to remeber is BE DISCREET! The P4P trade is illegal and enforced, so you have to be polite, quiet, and discreet. Find yourself a reliable guide, I recommend one affilitated with a hotel, and then establish a relationship.. Once you're comfortable, tell him what you want and he should accomodate you.
One more thing: one other reason we got along so well with Ashok is that we actually demanded he dine with us. He was very firendly but subserviant and would always be in the back at our beckon call. We ultimately demanded that he dine with is one night in one of our private dining rooms and told him to think of us as friends and equals, not clients. After that we had a much more sincere relationship with him as he probably is often treated like a butler or car valet. Again, be nice, be polite, and be discreet, and you'll have a good time in Nepal!

you hit the button for scoring in nepal, although it is not an easy piece of advice to offer short-time travelers. it took me a long time to penetrate the scene, but the type of place you describe is a fairly common resource in k’du (see my earlier posts for nepal). there used to be several places run by women (no chinese, just nepali) where you could call up and make an appointment. upon arrival there would be one to five or more girls hanging about, from which you could choose. i got to know many of these girls very well. one time for thrills and giggles i asked a rickshaw driver to help me out. he took me to a place just north of thamel where a family lived. the mother and father were there, and one of the boys of about 20 ran off to retrieve a girl of about 17 or 18 (rated about a seven on the beauty scale) who came home with me. i have dozens of stories about my indulgences there, ranging from the daughters of a family who ran a roadside tea stall who entertained in a special way, to a family of tibetan sisters who would pay house visits if called upon. the usual toll ranged from rs/1500 on up, depending on quality. mps were sometimes as cheap as rs/500 for fs.
these were mostly just poorer gals who found spreading their legs an easy way to get a few extra rupees. in over ten years in nepal i never saw anyone in k’du forced to do this type of work aside from the need for cash. one woman, who worked part-time as a dancer when those clubs were popular in the late 90s, even had a line on a local school where the 10+2 (twelfth grade to most of us) girls would come in for extra pocket change (no economic desperation there).
i am going back to nepal in a couple of months after about six months away. will check up on the scene and report back.

i went back to nepal after about a year and found it all pretty much the same as i left it. a few more people in kathmandu, but that logarithm has been in place for a while. the maoists are still out in the boonies, and not causing much of a ruckus in town. within the first 24 hours in kathmandu i had scored a large chunk of hash and tupped two of the massage girls. ah, good old vicious entertainment at its best.
to keep it all brief, over a two-week period i visited about 20 of the parlours in the thamel area. for most of them, i just popped in to see the workers and ask a few questions. every one of them had females (ranging from 2 to 7 on a 10 point scale) who were willing, if not eager, to engage the visitor. i asked about police harassment and they all claimed it was not really an issue these days. i would have to say that overall the quality of the girls was a little down from last time i prowled the range, but that could have been anything from the time of day to my evolving tastes.
without much haggle, prices were between 1500 to 2000 rupees per pop (about $21 to $28). typical rugged conditions and unwashed gals, but hey, it is nepal after all.

fyi just to get a propective on pricing in kathmandu, the average "monthly" salary is about 3,000 rupees a month. the work forced in filled with young people. if someone hires a man chances are that someone under 30 will show up at their door. it's hard to have a beautiful young woman cleaning your house. some have been known to get a little close. as far as tourist go, good luck. it's hard to find a quicky. there are lots of girls here but it might take time to get to know them.

have travelled to ktm and other parts of nepal about ten times in the past five years or so.
it seems to be a lot easy to find naturally occuring drugs than babes there in my experience.
i have stayed in the yak and yeti and one good thing about it is its convenience to thamel which has the most options for a foreigner. i have never brought anyone back to my hotel as for most of south asia this is a 'no no".
the best bet, although sketchy and dirty, (sometimes that is good too) is the massage places in thamel. i have have sex offered to me starting at 4,000 rupees and then bargained down to 2,000. in some instances is seems like a police trap so i stayed away. a few other times i settled for a shag in a quiet room with a buxom lass. and of course there are a number of places that offer hand jobs from cute young women.
have been to a few disos in the past and although some of the nepali women are strikingly beautiful they are a bit paranoid to go off with ya. for me i like the sure thing and from a professional.

Just returned from Kathmandu after a short business trip. Thamel is still the place to be, plenty of massage parlours some legit, some offering more.
Basic massage is around 700-800 regardless of what the piece of paper they show you says. Easy to tell which places offer more than a massage as they all ask for payment upfront. FS can be had for 1500 on top of the massage price. Some gorgeous girls just a bit hit and miss as to what you will find when you enter each place. Oral and anal depends on the girl.
The casinos are a great place to go for a beer - free flowing drinks when you gamble - and lots of cute and friendly girls working there.
You can score with regular Nepali girls, you just need to be very discrete so as to protect their reputations.
I am scheduled to stop over in Kathmandu next February for a few days and would welcome an update on things there sometime.

just returned from a trip to kathmandu, the place has over a hundred dance bars now spread across the city. some of these have nude dancing and sloppy sex shows after 1030 or so. the dances may be sloppy but the babes are just awesome. i visited some 15 bars over the week and found them to be very safe. everybody seems to mind their own business and girls can come to your table to be with you for a small tip. you can even ask for one of the dancers between performances and for a tip of 100-200 nepali rupees they will be happy to oblidge. its also possible to ask them out after they are done dancing and then its up to you. just make sure you don't end up calling a girl on someone else's table. the bars usually close down by 11pm or so be early. 7pm is a good time to start and get the best girls. fridays are most crowded and mondays the least. i would prefer monday as you get the best girls to your self. the cops do raid some of these bars but mostly for money and would not touch the customers. turns out that some of the bars are owned by the cops themselves. best dance bars to see the wares, lady dance bar on the airport road, x-bar and baylon disco near the new market, go-go bar and la club in thamel. the trade is thriving . pm me for numbers of a madam and a few girls. they will not go if your are nepalese.

just returned from a trip to kathmandu, the place has over a hundred dance bars now spread across the city. some of these have nude dancing and sloppy sex shows after 1030 or so. the dances may be sloppy but the babes are just awesome. i visited some 15 bars over the week and found them to be very safe. everybody seems to mind their own business and girls can come to your table to be with you for a small tip. you can even ask for one of the dancers between performances and for a tip of 100-200 nepali rupees they will be happy to oblidge. its also possible to ask them out after they are done dancing and then its up to you. just make sure you don't end up calling a girl on someone else's table. the bars usually close down by 11pm or so be early. 7pm is a good time to start and get the best girls. fridays are most crowded and mondays the least. i would prefer monday as you get the best girls to your self. the cops do raid some of these bars but mostly for money and would not touch the customers. turns out that some of the bars are owned by the cops themselves. best dance bars to see the wares, lady dance bar on the airport road, x-bar and baylon disco near the new market, go-go bar and la club in thamel. the trade is thriving . pm me for numbers of a madam and a few girls. they will not go if your are nepalese.

Some of the more recent reports are pretty suspect; especially considering that just few weeks ago the king had issued shoot-on-sight orders for anyone breaking the sunset curfew.
In my experience, the dance bars are the worst way to go - it'll be a lot of $ and time spent for a let-down. Dance bars cater to the youngish middle-class males who've got some cash and want many good looking young things to pay attention to them - and the girls act accordingly by being flirtatious and egging the guys on to get more to drink. Basically, think in terms of your basic Bangkok bar, but with little chance that the girls are into PFP. I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but the chances of PFP are slim; most of the girls are from the villages and this is the only work they can get and the corrolarr is that they don't have much concept of PFP, or any english for that matter.
Your best bet for PFP are the MPs or some of the 'discos' in Thamel. All the SW action is around Ratna Park and Kamal Pokhari (the 'queen's lake' near Ratna near the entrance to New Road). The 'inside scene' is tremendously hard to crack, but you might be lucky to have a hotel clerk that can hook you in to something; be warned that cabbies are notoriously unreliable. Check out some of the previous posts by myself and Lance-a-lot.
i spent about 3 weeks in nepal with time spent in ktm eitherside of trekking -my time in the capital was limited but i did locate a massage parlour on durbar marg opp. the roundabout with the statue. look for the herbal massage sign up high and climb the stairs to the top (4 floors i think) passing several small travel shop office entrances enroute. at the top turn left and there they are!! i saw 3 girls and the cost for a massage went up from 800 rupees with an extra 1000 plus for sex agreed direct with the girl. one time the 3 booths at this place were full so after a phonecall i was collected by another girl and taken to a related parlour also on the same main street just along from the annapurna hotel. both places were clean as were the girls rated at around 6-7 when compared with thamel which is basically the pits!!
i then met up with an old nepali girlfriend who supplied me with all that i wanted for free so kathmandu is still ok if you know people!! despite the political turmoil, the trafic polution etc etc in nepal i found the place mostly agreeable but it is not the best place to find what most of us want from time to time!!

Some of the bars , some I saw in thamel seem to have shut shop mainly because there was no business and not not enough customers. Some of the bars still seem to operate and as normalcy returns to Nepal perhaps we will see even more desperate women willing to do more after almost no income in the past few months. I will soon be visiting Kathmandu again and should have a report soon.

The other place to look is the casinos. Stirke a conversation with the girls working there and see what it leads to. However be polite and move off if they decline, all the girls are not upto what you want them to be for various reasons, 2-3k nepalese should be good for ST and perhaps FS.
You can also call one of the madams for a girl. they are a little more expensive but these girls are experienced.
The cabin restaurants are all closed. many of them have converted to the dance bars now and not as inhuman as used to be.
Treat the girls well, it can be more fun that way.

the cabbies will claim to know places with girls, but they'll drive you all over town searching themselves, went to two guest houses in secluded areas, each had 4-5 girls working inside, they lock the gates as you enter the building and turn off all the lights, you go upstairs and they have a waiting area with two dirty soiled beds, they either bring the girls to you or you go look at them in their own rooms. the girls are about 2-4 on looks, ages range from young teens to forties, they appeared disinterested in their work, they just looked awful. they are either nepalese, indian, or chinese looking. prices: 3000 indian rupees asked up front, negotiated down to 1500, all done through the cabbie or pimp. didn't do anything, but damage for searching out the places, 390 nepali rupees.
thamel - there are plenty of bars, but the streets are full of local guys hanging out, at least 4 ladyboy sws, and it's disgusting, it stinks, people [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) in the open, there's trash on the ground.
inside, most of the bars are full of not so great looking girls, and 1 or 2 cuties at 6-7. but i went to this one bar where there were a lot of cuties inside ranging from 5-8, unfortunately it was too hot and crowded, very cramped in space. about 250 nepali rupees per beer per person minimum.

Well, experiances are alway subjective - for myself I found the best thing is to check massage parlors in tamil, and, if you found a nice girl, try to get her out and bring her to your hotel. This can be fun, had a a wonderfull time that way. Even got invited to her private place.

the whole dance bar business in ktm is supposed to be discreet. making noise and disturbing the peace is certainly not what the nepalese want. somewhere beneath they are still a conservative society.
as one of the members pointed out that they do it for money, he cannot be more correct, tell me a place where they do not do it for money. nepal is a very poor country and most of these women come from the villages and are there to make an extra buck. it is so much better than getting married to some no good nepali villager and get raped anyway. there are good bucks to be made at the bar and it is a relatively good life for these villagers and plenty of pocket money to take home. most girls make on a night what they will not make in a month back at their village. throw in a few hundred nepali rupees to the waitress at the bar and she will give you a nice rub at the table. they always have stories of sick parents and failed crops back home. this is what the bar owners teach them to say when encountered with the customers or the cops. they make more money from sympathisers than anyone else.
these women have limited social skills and very little education to understand what is going on. they are just there for the money. we need to be careful not to hurt their feelings and specially not make out with the minors.
i do not recomment the cabbies as they can take you to places that may be dangerous from an aids point of view and you could potentially be robbed of all your belongings. try and stick to the public places and crowded areas.
the bars in thamel are pretty average. bars like x-bar and ladies bar away from thamel have much better quality of girls. they may be a bit more expensive but are certainly recommended. some of the girls i saw were 7-9, although not available to take out. this is changing as more girls get mature and feel safer venturing out with strangers.

Your intuition seems pretty much right on - I'd combine what you're saying with Zipper's last post to provide a more complex picture of PFP in Nepal. In short, it's fairly easy to find SPs if you know where to go - but finding where to go is the difficult part and the context is constantly changing - as Bruce_Lee points out, the cabbie's who 'know' will still have to search around and as Zipper points out there is a high HIV rate within some segments of the SP population. Basically, there's three types of SPs in K-du: the country/village girls who've come to the city for economic or safety/security reasons, the locals who've seen the material effects of working their bodies, and the women returned from the brothels down in India.
No, I'm not Nepali, I'm an American who has lived in a remote village and district headquarters for a few years and who's lived in K-du among the locals for a few more years; no tourist traps or expat development worker lifestyle for me. Even so, I've never really cracked the shell of the PFP system there - I know quite a lot and made some in-roads - but being a kuire, I've never really gotten to the insides of the scene. For a while I had a lover who owned a MP in Thamel that was geared to the local elite so I got a good insider's perspective of that one aspect of Thamel, but not the broader scene. As Zipper pointed out, despite appearences in K-du, it's still at heart a very conservative society and letting a kuire in on the extent of things would have them loose face. My lover was a Magar from the Terrai, so she didn't much care about the culture loosing face, and many of the clients (e.g. some army brass, mid-high level bureaucrats, etc.) at her place would sit around and chat with me for hours - and while we joked about sex and typical 'guy talk' they never would give me straight answers about the larger scene.
I haven't been in-country now for over a year and I'm sure much has changed with both the providers and context. But, I'm sure the same rules apply, ask around, be respectful, check things out, and cross your fingers for luck. If you find a provider that you like, develop a rapport with her and she'll usually be able to broaden your horizons a bit - unless it's a MP, those greedy bastards want you to believe that their's is the only joint that has PFP.
Trust your intuition and instinct, it seems pretty reliable. My first PFP ever was in Nepal, but it wasn't until I experienced LOS that I developed any good sense for mongering. After LOS though, my horizons in Nepal broadened considerably.

I just returned from a week long trip to Kathmandu and boy-o-boy the scene is even better now. Surely the quality of girls in some of the bars in thamel has improved. There's more and more coming to the city from the villages for the want of higher income. I even heard that some of these have boyfriends that live off their incomes.
I met this girl at the bar on one of the nights and she invited me over to her house on the outskirts of KTM where about seven of them live when they are off work. Heres the location guys, sorry no addresses but I can give directions
The bar where I picked up is at thamel and is called CHAHANA bar. walk from the royal palace towards thamel. turn left from the first crossing where the taxis usually hang out. walk about 150 mts and turn left again into a covered walkway. walk another 15 mts and you will see a stair going to first floor. Ask around if in Doubt and most taxi guys will know where this is.
The lady bar is close to the Radisson Hotel. walk from the radisson towards main road. turn right at the three way crossing and walk for another 300 mts or so. the bar is in the first floor to your left. there is a sign which says so. The entrance is from behind the building. a guy called Umesh runs the place, very friendly but the girls are 6-7/10 . The other bar is better and the food definately is. Always order beers coz the hard drinks and cocktails are diluted to save money.
The X bar is not doing so well, they became very popular over time and now get a lot of fistfights and brawls breaking out all the time. you don't want the cops in the same bar as you!

On entering massage parlours you will be shown a fancy laminated menu with over-inflated prices. Ignore this. Say the parlour down the road has quoted just 500 thingees, whatever. This will get you a massage for 2 hrs in oil or talc. You might have to pay 600. At the end of the very good oil massages, the girls will concentrate on the loins and buttocks usually resulting in a stiffy - they will then try to negotiate hand job, blow job, or full sex - an extra 500 will probably get the first two - you may have to stretch to 1000 extra to get the full works. So 1500 or thereabouts - about £15-18 for 2 hrs relaxation followed by closer examination and safe exchange of fluids has to be good value. Blow-jobs are usually owo.

after a trek, landed in thamel for an r&r break. decided to go for a massage to loosen the cramps and aches. there began the problems – it was somewhat difficult to find a genuine “masseur” – most massage parlors in thamel offer everything else but a decent massage. finally found one place with a qualified masseur – can highly recommend it to fellow trekkers.
thamel is dotted with massage parlors where there certainly is more on offer in addition to a massage. avoid the massage unless you believe that a few thumps with a loose hand dabbed in engine oil (they call it ayurvedic/ herbal oil) is massage.
the crowd available in these parlors range from scrap at the bottom of barrel filled with warm spit to the ones floating on the top. but the same barrel full of warm spit, that is. absolute ugly to passably ok girls can be found in these parlors, so check out a number of them before you decide. if you wish to have only sex, ask for it upfront from the proprietor. going rate is rupees 500-800 although the guy will quote 2k for st. but be prepared for disappointments as well; the girls rarely speak english and any monger getting anything other that a missionary should consider himself lucky. business generally starts at around 11.00 am and rarely proceeds beyond 7.30- 8.00 pm.
another fad these days are the dance bars. some of the prettiest faces and bodies can be seen prancing around in sexy outfits on a stage to the beats of nepali and bollywood pop. the ones on jyatha are nothing mush to write about. but there are two joints in thamel where the collection is quite good – 007 (opposite himalette café) and new pink palace (next to the yin yang restaurant). after 9.30 pm, the 007 dance bar puts on a few steamy numbers with mock sex routines. i found the new pink palace slightly classier with a better pick of girls and décor. the show begins after 6.30 pm and goes on till 2.00 am.
the girls at these dance bars are from villages and can barely speak a few words of english. they are non-pros and make around 7-10 k (around us$ 100) a month. their job is to do a number on the stage and then come down to mix with the patrons. you can pen down your requests, both for a dance or a particular girl, on a napkin and hand it over to the waiters. you need to buy them some drinks and food, which is the management’s way of making money. you may be able to run your hands over her while she’s at your table, nothing more is possible inside the bar. plus the language is a barrier as they can talk little else than nepali and a bit of hindi – english is very rare. strictly speaking, it is very difficult to score with them.
i adopted a different strategy which worked. there are a number of female waiters who take orders for your drinks and food. i befriended one from darjeeling, where i schooled. while she was a non-pro, but earning less than a dancer, she was willing. damage – 2k for a 3 hour non-hurried session. i managed to persuade her to get me two more such waiters – not exceptional beauties or performers in bed, but definitely cleaner and more fun than the massage parlor girls. be nice to them and win them over – requires some time and patience but is definitely easier to lay them than blowing a fortune over drinks for the dancers who at the end refuse to go out with you.
there are a number of cabin restaurants around the highways going out of the town. while i was unable to check any of them out, i do understand that sex is available.
i met a guy at one of the dance bars who claimed that pros and semi-pros are available, but was unable to check it out for lack of time. i would be happy to share his number if any monger wishes to check him out.

I visited recently an interesting dance club situated on the ring road (enter the ring road at Balaju, go towards Maharajganj, on the left side; cant be missed). you will see lots of signs for massage parlors in the tourist area of thamel.
most of the places aren't that clean and you need to search for some nice girls but it is possible for a reasonable price.

I have been to the Malla Hotel several times. It is for KTM stadart a very good hotel and located just outsideThamel area. All you can do in walking distance. However the hotel has no action at all. I visited Nepal in the spring, and my curiosity about the Kathmandu dance bars led me to an internet search that brought me to ISG. So naturally I have a warm spot in my heart for Kathmandu and Nepal.
From my experiences at the several I visited, I can say that the aforementioned Kathmandu dance bars really vary in quality. I recommend two in a building just south of the Hotel Utse on Jyatha Thamel Street in Thamel. These were the only places where I saw the girls dancing topless (at times), and the simulated sex dancing was pretty hot. A couple of other places (including one in Pokhara) had very attractive girls, but no nudity. Some of the other places in Kathmandu bored me with their lousy dancing and subpar dancers – it’s just a matter of exploring, and it won’t cost you much to shop around (a couple of dollars for a drink, just avoid buying them for the girls).
The dance bars and all the erotic sculpture in Nepal got me interested in getting closer to the Nepalese women. Some post-trekking soreness provided a good excuse for checking out the massage parlors. Note that they do close somewhat early, so late afternoons or early evenings are the best times to visit. The first I tried was, I believe, on J. P. School Road in Thamel, in a shopping-mall type building with a dance bar in the basement and a music instrument store on the ground floor. The MP (apologies for forgetting the name) was one flight up. After reviewing the menu at the front desk (massage was the equivalent of $20, I think), I went back to one of the rooms (which were decent with locking doors) with a 22 year old Nepalese girl with classical Indian features (and a little nose stud). She said that she came from around Pokhara and was from the Brahma ethnic group/caste. She spoke passable English so we were able to chat a bit as she massaged my back. As has been reported in the past, Nepal is not a great mongrting destination. while in Nepal I was in Pokhara, Kdu and Chitwan nature preserve and the best to be had was a HJ (which is ok with me). I have a feeling that if I were able to spend a month there and frequent the places it would be different but as most who travel there I was only able to stay for a week.
I checked out more than 10 places that offered massage in both Kdu and Pokhara and 50% said they would provide a HJ for and extra 500-600 rupies (10 bucks US).
Most of the places were dirty and cramped (like china bbs's) and had one or two older not so pretty women with only a couple having cute girls. Most asked 1000 rupies for an hour massage upfront.
Thamel seemed to be set up as the best place to find FS but I could not close the deal (maybe because I am tooooooo cheap)
Anyone planning to go there in the near future I would suggest that you get a tour package with transportation included as transportation strikes are common now. There will be an election in October and many affluent locals are planning to leave town/the country. There were many road blocks when I was there and I have heard that there is going to be a lot of trouble before and after the election, so travelers beware.

I used to travel once every two months to KTM as I have an office there. As most of you who have been there have observed, P4P is very hard to get.

As far as action goes, its all in the posts - basically MPs and some discos in Thamel, trying to find just the right dance bar, or as a long-shot trying your luck in the casinos.
As for the Y&Y, its still a great hotel with top-notch service and is just a long block from the entrance to the Thamel district and along Nepal's "Rodeo Drive" Durbar Marg. The only down-side to the Y&Y is that there's always a big chance that there will be folks staying there who are in Nepal to adopt a baby. That's because its the most well known, clean, and safe hotel nearby the orphanage. That said, it might be prudent to ask during check-in and if there's a lot of new parents there at the time, try and get a room in a more remote wing.
For specifics, sorry can't help you there as its been almost two years since I've been in K-du and I'm sure lots has changed since then. But based on my many years of living in Nepal I'll give my standard advice: avoid a flight connecting through India, get a flight going through Bangkok (but not on RNA, get Thai Air), and plan a long lay-over in the Land of Smiles. In short, that's the best mongering option for the Himalayan Kingdom.

There are still many go-go bars and restaurants where nude dances are performed. But this time of the year is not the best time to visit as it is the biggest festival time in Nepal. So guys stay away from these places, even if you do make sure you go in a group or carry less cash on you.
Didn't want to try the massage parlours after this one.

In Kathmandu at the moment, I disagree with most that there is no action available in Kathmandu. Went to a couple of bars where there is Nude dance, thats what they call it here. Nasha Bar in Thamel being one of them, like always goes without saying you have to be careful what you order. Just make sure you tell the guy taking your order that you will not pay for anything if its brought to the table without asking you. This always works.
After that went to fire club, again in thamel on friday night, the place is open till 5am. Pretty good, some girls there, got talking to one and ended up with her in my room. She left in the morning. Pretty good in bed.

Recently I had been to the eastern part of Nepal and stayed at a place called Birtamod. There are lots of hotel but its really hard to find a decent one. Its well known to everyone that every hotel has a girl. I stayed at the hotel called Mechi Mahakali. Its on the highway just in front of some nursing home. There I tried a girl who is permanently available there but I am not sure how long these girls stay there. The price I paid was NRs. 1500 for a night out of which I think half the money goes to the hotel owner. The girl was 6 in overall rate. She was friendly and had a nice chat. Look is 7 and body is around 7 as well.
Anyone travelling to that area might try a new hotel I think Holiday but I didn't know when I was there. Feel free to ask for extra entertainment and they will provide.
In hotel near the airport called Oshin I found no presence of girl and I asked them but they said there is none. But you can take to the hotel if you find someone as I found a girl and took her but they didn't complain. So it is g-friendly.

Well the girl from the fire club ended up being a freedbie. I normally stay at the Yak & Yeti, been staying here for over 3-4 years regularly, so the hotel does not give me too much trouble as they I will take my business elsewhere.
Well from experience I can say that the dance bar girls are just a waste of time and money. They would just make you spend money there and thats it. And plus none of them will leave before 1am, you have to go to a bar 2-3 times before you can get a girl to call you or give her no. Best is to get them to come in the day, before they go to work.
I am in ktm at the moment and will be here till the 7th, so will keep you all posted with any new experiences that I may have, I hope I do. Will be going to fireclub tomorrow night and check out the scene.

rather far much better is hotel yak & yeti or annapurna or soaltee all in the city center and gf hotels. do remember getting a girl in the room may be bit difficult but give 100-200 rupees (2 usd) to the security man and he won't mind.

There is a massage centre there, but don't bother, no action around. Massage parlours are just dirty and dark. Don't carry too much cash man or you may end up nothing after that. Just finished a few days in KTM after the election. No the Maoist victory has not presented any problems to the tourists nor mongers so far. Generally Nepal is safe to travel in just now, as long as you stick to well-touristed paths and take the usual common sense precautions with third-world countries.
To update on Caiguy's report. Everest Massage in Thamel is right next to the Kathmandu Guest House (central point of Thamel in many ways) on JP School Rd. Great live band bar in the same block and right in the heart of the shopping. The manager lady there (Indira) has a kind face but a filthy mind, and while she seems to have learnt some massage techniques, she makes it apparent fairly soon that other services are on offer. FS seems to be out or takes a long time to negotiate, but HJ and touching her anywhere is all fine for NRp 900 (USD$12. 50 or so). No cleanliness in that place whatsoever and little privacy. I prayed that the local guy behind the curtain a few feet away wouldn't shower us with his load as he was receiving the same treatment. Anyway, her hand technique was impressive enough and she wanted 3x more to finish with oral, which I declined. Like many, I shot all over the wall (it must start to build up. She didn't wipe anything) and she didn't seem to care. The place is definitely seedy and filthy but if you are desperate for some relief. Just had 2 days stop over in Nepal, stayed at the Crowne Plaza Soaltee, nice hotel in comparison to the one in downtown Thamel. Brough a girl in late afternoon, so far no problem. Most of kmt are full of dance bars where you can see woman dancing half naked, some are not vry hygenic. Most massage place offer sex, but after looking at it, it can make you want to puke (smell horrible), as the enviroment is not hygenic. Girls look great but most are in need of a real good scrub. the hub of monger action is still the mps. despite what some of the previous posts have described in terms of lack of hygiene, i found girls who were clean and pretty nice looking, although they were not the majority. the bed area, however, can make you squirm of you look too closely at it. i scouted out about 15 different mps and inquired about “services”. out of these, two seemed to really be legitimate massage places. the rest were pretty quick to get to the nitty gritty of what we all want there.
of the many mps i visited, i found decent looking girls in four or five of them. young, clean, well mannered—but not very educated, so if you have to communicate in english, it will be very basic. i ended up paying between rs/1000 ($15) and rs/2000 ($30) per encounter, depending on how much i wanted to bargain, with an average of rs1500, which seemed to make everyone pretty happy. it is customary to tip for good service, so a few extra hundreds on top of that make indulging economically attractive.
the dance bars in thamel have gotten a lot wilder than the few that were in nepali sections ten years ago. i saw fully nude lesbian dance / shower acts. the girls were typically very hot, and one could get a topless lap dance for a hundred rupee tip (this is not the case in all of the dance clubs, but the shower ones seemed to be a bit more extreme). in all cases, girls will come sit with you and tolerate your groping if you buy them overpriced drinks. be careful, in about half the joints i visited they tried to rip us off by putting extra things on the bill, or bringing less change than you should have gotten and hoping you don’t count it. beers are about $5 for a bottle, juice for a girl is about $7, so it is still not prohibitively expensive.
however, despite getting extremely horny watching gorgeous nepali girls rub their crotches together under a stage lit shower, none at all would go home with me or any other client. this seems to be a way to get around being busted for prostitution, as just about every girl i asked did volunteer a phone number and offer to meet during the day. i guess they just cannot leave the clubs with boys and they were all chivied out into cabs by the workers when the police came around to close shop at about 11 pm. some of these girls spoke decent english, and were much better looking on average than the mp girls, so there is potential, but it can get complicated if you don’t have at least some nepali and a safe place to meet up.
have not looked into any of the older, more obscure networks, but a rickshaw driver did try very hard to convince me to come to a brothel. not sure what it would have turned up, but i had some shower shows to catch.

I hit on just about anything good looking in the dance bars that would talk to me, but to be honest I couldn’t always tell who was merely serving and who was waiting to dance. Most of the girls who came to sit, chat, fondle and ask for drinks were dressed in jeans or skirts, and would change into a more revealing clothes when their time came, athough some (like the topless ones rubbing themselves on my crotch) were obviously not there to serve beer. But maybe due to the diversions at my immediate disposal, I failed to even think beyond the immediate flesh at my side. But your point is well taken. Recently I was in Kathmandu. I tried finding a girl and my contacts suggested me stay at hotels located a Thamel or at hotels located at Sundhara (near general post office). I went to Sundhara and there stayed at Royal Gorkha Hotel. I aked the room boy for the availabilty of the girl. They said yes and the price was NRs 6,000 per night but bargained for NRs 5, 000. First the the girl who came was average looking and average performance. Next day same room boy again came and asked if I needed a girl and I said that only if the girl is better then the one I tried a night before. For the second night he brought a good looking girl with 8 for body and looks and around 7 for the performance. Anyway I was satisfied. I have the numbers of the boy and also of girls but since I am non-paid member so I cannot share. But you can give a try if any of you are looking for a girl. You can ask any room boy in that hotel. I also came to know of some brothels in kathmandu and I have numbers but I haven't tried. The source said that the charge is around 1-2, 000 for an hour and there you can find college going girls and its only available in day time.

I got to visit KTM this summer but I am happy I got all I was looking for in this short trip. Checked out the S____ L_ casino and the Ra_____n casino last night for action but there was none to be had. The government has recently cracked down on letting Nepalis into casinos, it always used to be illegal but until recently the casinos had been pretty lax about who they let in. I saw that news in the newspaper some months back, the new government have cracked down these things in the wake of moral policing and security.
The dance bars and captive restaurants would open till 10. 30 pm and even the dance performance in any of the casino or restaurants won't last after 10. 30 pm. The casino authorities are even particular about the entry of a working girl.

I wouldn't go as far as saying there is a gaining popularity for mongering in Nepal - its about the same as it has been for the past ten years. The only real difference is the emergence of more explicit entertainment that features semi-nudity on stage. And these venues aren't really good for mongering as the folks are really explicit in their actions to avoid any hint of prostitution; that is, the women won't go home with you right from the bar.
The p4p in Thamel is pretty much the same it ever was - MPs and some street action. The MPs still do a good business, though they come and go. I could post about some particular ones that have better looking providers, but they are still going to be really dirty places where there's dirty sheets on a crappy mattress and the providers might only bathe once a week. Most of the places I visit are where the locals tend to go and while they've more attractive providers they are both harder to find and have providers of questionable age.
I still recommend that the best mongering option for Nepal is to arrange your travel through a direct flight from Bangkok and just have your fun there. Otherwise, most travelers don't spend enough time in Nepal to get really hard up, and if you do get that hard up, I suppose the local conditions won't matter all that much.
Me, Thai Airways is running some special discounts on the KTM-BKK route that I'm taking full advantage - so next week, I'm going to be in 'hog heaven' with good hamburgers and good action.

Even maoists need sex, to judge by the still alive p4p scene in kathmandu. I was there last week, and had a chance to check out a few MP's, which seem to be the most straighforward path to sex there is. As has been documented elswhere, there is little of redeeming value to these sessions. The rooms are barren and dirty, but at least in both sessions I had, the provider was very active, allowed BBBJCIM, DATY and a lot of positions, and good massages as well. The going rate seems to be about Rs 2500-3000. Just fresh from a few days in the valley and will give an update as things change fast here (at least in the world of mongering). The following options are open to anyone so lack of language or familiarity with Kathmandu should not be an issue. Any taxi driver can get you to Thamel to find the action.
Maoists: they are part of the government now, so much of the threat in the countryside is gone. They never really focused on tourists anyhow, and routes in the east, like those to and around Everest, did not have much of a presence. They used to charge a RS/1000 tax, but did not hear about that this round. They occasionally get the urge to enforce morality, so once every so often they close down the girly entertainment. But they are as corrupt as the next political party, so this is only temporary and things will usually get back to normal very quickly.
Massage parlours: Thamel still has plenty of them. I think the girls are getting better looking too. Maybe the massive influx from the south and west to escape Maoists and poverty has increased the work force? If you stick to your guns, for the price of a Maoist tax (RS/1000) you can have any of the girls for a quick romp. Scout around, find something you like and make the offer.
Dance bars: They no longer feature full nudity. The police are putting the pressure on, but these things come in phases. I tried to get one of the girls to meet me the next day after she gave me her phone number, but she chickened out and ask me to just come the dance bar again. I suppose with perseverance one could make it happen, but I didn’t have the patience, especially with so many other options. There are dozens of these bars, and I only visited a few, so there is exploration yet to be done.
Brothels: Yes, there are now dens of iniquity mainly in the Thamel area. Room and choice of girls for RS/1500. The boys in Thamel now offer “Massage?” along with “Hash? Marijuana? Something?” Or ask a rikshaw driver if you don’t get the offer and are interested. You will not have to leave the main area, so don’t go on a long goose chase.
Things to watch out for:
Hotels in Thamel are pretty loose, and most of the parlors / brothels are in hotels, so if is not much of a problem. But if you are late, and the hotels are a bit more observant, they might give you a hard time and not let your company join you. Larger hotels like the Annapurna will not let you bring in girls for pleasure. You can sneak them in, but this is chancy.
Hijra are also now gathering in Thamel, just as you enter from the Palace, and are fairly aggressive in approaching people. They are pretty obvious as just men dressed in drag, but in the dark it can sometimes be hard to tell. If any female looking creature approaches you in the street with offers, beware as you can be sure s/he has an extra package.
Pollution is getting really bad these days, and it is common to get a cough after a day or two. This will get better in the monsoon when rains wash the city.
Power outages now consume most of the day, with only a few hours of light in the evenings. Not only does this make it difficult to get around, but the extra smoke from all the generators contributes to the already nasty pollution. The main danger though is falling in a hole in the sidewalk or street when trolling about, so take a light to brighten your path.

pokhara - there from 9th to 13th april. ask any taxi driver to take you to girls and they will take you to a brothel area near a bus station on the outskirts of town. conditions are squalid but just about acceptable. girls were not that attractive but passable. price was 1,000 rupees. girls are really not clean and no shower or clean up before or after. ideal situation would be if you could get them back to your hotel and get them in the shower first!! this option did seem available but didnt follow it up so not sure of price.

The mongering situation in Nepal is a bit different compared to other Asia countries as its still very orthodox. Things happen but all underground and foreigners need some time to get the contacts into their confidence.
Moreover its a huge risk for the locals with all the moral policing going around, particularly with the Maoists in the govt recently.
So people have to be real careful and more so for the girls as if they are caught or someone comes to know about them, then it brings shame to them and their families to the extent that we cannot comprehend. When i started looking for contacts initially it was tough but later I got lucky to meet this guy but he too is careful and takes all the necessary precaution. Alternately the Ice Bar, on seven corners street in Thamel often has a disco (it's a dance bar) and you can pick up dance bar girls/freelancers in there.

Coming into nepal for a month I wasnt sure if the scene had changed much from the last review but apparently it hasnt, the massage parlours in Thamel are still all basically offering a quick service at reasonable prices and I got to try a few of them out.
The first place I checked out was mount treks massage parlour opposite moondrops hotel. I asked about sex and sure enough we arranged a price of 1200rps fairly quickly (i'm sure you could go lower very easily though), however the woman i though was the mamasan came into the room and started undressing. I asked if there was any other girls and she said no so I quickly went back downstairs and argued to get my money back - watch out, theyre pretty reluctant to give it back. I had a similar experience at A-ones massage on thamel chowk although they expect you to have a massage first. I tried it hoping for some luck after the massage with the girls, it was 1000 rps for a pretty awful massage then sex however the girl who gave the massage was a big older girl aswell and went I asked for another they sent in a younger girl but I'm almost certain she was pregnant so I just let them take the money and got the hell out of there. I'm not sure if I picked a bad time to go but I didnt bother to try either of these again.
My favourite place was a few shops north from mount treks massage called kantapur health massage or something similar. I went in and walked past a room with a few good looking girls in it. The mamasan came in and we quickly got to the point, the woman seemed pretty firm on the price of 2000 rps and as it was the first luck I'd had and I was pretty frisky by this point I didnt bother trying to get a better price. There is no brothel or fkk club kinda places in kathmandu but its no hard to find the chicks here. best way to get a gal is to know the pimp. and best way for a non nepali to know the pimp is to ask the floor staffs of a casino. go to casino everest or royal or anna, these are the places for hunting. The prices are not exorbitant in international terms but they're quite high compared to everything else in the country and it was hard to justify spending that much money for one hour when I was paying my Porter a fraction of that to carry my backpack for many hours every day. The trekking itself was not so hard but was a little bit boring and it would have been nice to have a pretty girl alone. But the girls in the massage parlors seemed too professional for me and most of the non-pros spoke very little English.
They were also much more distant than women in let's say Indonesia, where they also spoke rather limited English. But I could much easier see myself traveling with an Indonesian girl who only knew a few words of English rather than the Nepali girl with the same language ability.

I've been in Pokhara for some weeks now.
For the braver there is Club Aisana in central lakeside and one other disco place just north of the main crossroads in lakeside. Its obvious you will meet people here but unfortunately this kind of setup is not my scene. I a bit shy and like to keep a lower profile.

Just got into kathmandu a day and tried a massage place today called something like 'thamel health'. Its on one of the main streets and two nice shops are in front. You go past some blacklights and up the stairs. When i got there, there was a 25ish old woman there who greeted me. After I thought I confirmed full service for 1000, we went to a room. Roland---2000 total seems alot but that is what they ask for--or more. I don't think you did too bad. The problem is most don't speak much English and are not interested in gfe.

Feeling particulalry horney one evening after finally loosing a femaile work colleague so went on the hunt. Cheers peopleHow is your stay going on? In star hotels, due to recent security policies of government. You can't take anyone (male / female) with you at night to your room. But in normal and middle range hotels there isn't any problem.

But if you are looking for them to come to your hotel then you need to meet the girl at night and organise for her to come during the following day. They tend to be herded out at night so they can't get out. Getting them in to your room during the day won't be a problem.
Pricewise I don't know but negotiate and read the earlier reports. Don't over pay as it raises the prices for us all.
If you want a quickie then try a massage parlour but they close at about 2200 hrs. I found the rickshaw drivers helpful in locating girls but you will need one with some English.

Was in Kathmandu for a few days a month or so back. Spent most of the time walking around Thamel, trying to dodge the drug dealers and beggars. There are a few signs for MPs and went in one of them one afternoon. First one had some Amy Winehouse-lookalikes (before her demise) in there, but the second was better. There was one good-looking girl there, but they tried to fob me off with the two old ladies that were also there. Insisted on the young girl and she came eventually. Room was grotty, the girl had to stop me touching the electricity wires coming out of the wall with my feet. Damn sure she saved my life! Started off with a massage, but the whole thing soon turned into a protracted negotiation about how much I would pay for sex. Won't bore everyone with the details, but it was a long drama which eventually I gave into and probably paid a lot more than I should have. The girls know the score and start massaging you and getting you all worked up, and then start talking about money. Quite a good trick and leaves you paying more than you should because you don't want to leave with your hard dick in your hands. The sex was OK, she was slim, fit, with some nice boobs and kissing action, but my advice would be to get there with only the amount you are willing to pay in your wallet. Show them that if the negotiations get protracted, and then they can either take it or leave it. There are some options in Kathmandu, just be prepared of doing the Indian thing of haggling to death.

the nepali girls have been developing a taste for western fashion for the past 15 years, but it has reached a critical mass just recently. now it is common to see beautiful young things striding about in tight shorts and mini skirts. lovely things. innocent in many ways, but also wanting to sin and and willing to get tattoos to prove it. stay clear of them though, as under the outer wrappings they are still girls just out of their high school exams who have to be home at 7 pm to cook dinner for the family.
massage parlours are still the best way to get your jollies in the limited scene of kathmandu. you might score a tourist chick, or meet a semi-pro in a disco, but these things are chancy at best, and given the ease of the parlour, unless you are just out for sport, go for the low hanging fruits.
as always, when i get to the valley i spend the first few days visiting every likely place i can find. if the girls look at all worth sampling, i will ask the price for a massage, then inquire about the price for that special thing. the term 'sex garne? ' is understood by all. the quality of girls was down this visit; a lot of these places were stocked with middle age women who had been at this game far too long. they looked worn and desperate. but some places had younger, prettier girls who had likely come in from the village to find the city lights not too long ago.
just about every place that hangs a sign that says massage will provide sex. if the sign says spa, then it is maybe a 50/50 chance you will or will not get what you want. avoid spas, stick to massage places. if you do not like the look of the girls, just say you are looking for another place know and came to theirs by mistake—july / august is the off season, so they are desperate for business and unwilling to let a potential customer go. i am annoyed when i go into a massage parlour and see a half dozen thamel boys hanging around wanting to practice their gutter english. 'hey brother. you want sex, yes? nepali girl very pretty, you do massage, good massage. ' so when i found them milling about in the rooms i would usually just back out and perhaps come back later if i spied a pretty girl in their midst. plenty of places, so no lack of new shops to explore.
if you like a girl, and unless it looks really like a spa (along with the sign, it will be cleaner, white coats on all staff, towels stacked neatly and a real counter at the front) , just ask straight up for a special massage, or for sex. they will understand, this is their business. they will also want a lot of money. nepali guys pay about 500 rupees a pop. i can get this rate sometimes, but i usually end up giving 1000 rupees (about 14$) , with a 100 rupee tip. the girls have condoms, but i often bring my own which are of known quality.
they might want you to go to a room in the guesthouse away from the parlour itself (usually up a floor) and pay an extra 300 rupees. the pretence s that it is safer from any police action, but they pay off the cops through a boy who visits every shop around 5 pm to collect the 500 rupee baksheesh. so i don't go for the 'safe' room and just prefer the massage room areas which are private and usually clean enough. the girls are often not enthusiastic, meaning they are willing, but they look at their watch, ask if you are done and generally just want to lay there while you do the work. there are exceptions, but few.
you might want to bring some wet wipes to clean up with as you will rarely find functioning toilet facilities with soap and running water. tipping is optional, but 100 rupees buys this girl a pair of shoes, while it buys me one forth of a beer. they also remember and respond to kindness, so i try to spread it around.

i had picked up streetwalkers in kathmandu in the past, even before mongering was such an open sport. they were typically a bit dirtier than other professional girls, and were not always easy to notice. but with the right sort of eye you could see a prospect, get a brow raised with eye contact, and then after following them for a few minutes find a comparatively quiet place to discuss business. it helps to speak nepali and have a place to go, but they usually could find a spot if all else failed where for an extra 500 rupees the help would open a dank room just clean enough to not put you off the business at hand. they usually charged between 500 to 1500 rupees for the actual service.
in the kathmandu of 2011, along with the transvestites, street walkers are more around and active in the thamel area starting around 9 pm. you can spot them easily, as not many nepali ladies feel this is an appropriate place to spend time at this hour, looking bored and making eye contact with wandering foreigners. so just about any girl that does make eye contact in this atmosphere is approachable. i would not suggest this option to the casual mongerer, as the girls do not usually speak english, are more likely to be addicts or be socially challenged in any number of ways, and the whole logistic of getting to a room is a hassle which involves walking around in front of police, getting a taxi perhaps, chatting with hotel clerks and so forth. they also want to charge a lot more than the massage girls.
but it had been some months since i checked out the scene, so i shunted my companions off into the darkness towards their hotel in a rickshaw and i aimed toward the thick of things. immediately a very pretty tibetan looking girl took my arm and asked where she could get a drink, and expressed her disbelief that all the bars were closing at 11 pm. i had taken a bottle of whiskey with me on a drunken riskshaw parade through old kathmandu, which is a fun way to show my friends what the place could look like with no people. the rickshaw drivers were content with the 500 rupees we promised and knew what to do. they took us to all the right places, the old temples, up freak street, down winding little back roads. my friends who were new to the country loved it. on the way back, after i sent them scuttling to their hotel, i felt i had to do my own exploration. they would not understand, and shouldn't, really.
the rickshaw driver i had the whole time was alluding to his vast knowledge of carnal delights in kathmandu, and after the others left i let him take me to a guest house where he promised me beautiful girls would make my dreams come true. we had to clang on the gate to get the boy's attention. he asked how many? one ghora (white person) was the reply. we went up two flights of stairs to some rooms where about three rather haggard working girls came out, flying their tattoos, and encouraging me to strike a deal. not interested, not now, but maybe tomorrow? keep this place in mind as it is definitely girl friendly, and you never know when you might need a room quick.
but i wanted to walk the streets a bit just to get a feel for things. i was right in the heart of thamel near the pub maya and kathmandu guest house when in an instance i had this woman on my arm, with her friend next to her, lamenting in fluent english her lack of access to hard drink. i still had the bottle of whiskey with me which i showed her as i indicated that the only place i knew of the get some liquor was up in my room. she was shocked, and i figured she would peel off or take the bait. either way was fine. she told me she was chinese and proceeded in a sing-song dialogue with her friend who then got into a cab. 'she has to go home, work tomorrow. ' she informed me.
now, where to go, back to my room? i decided to try as i was just near the hotel in which i had rented a room. the upper and middle class hotels get a bit sticky about bringing girls in at night. not a problem in the day, but at night you need to be in one of the smaller guest houses run by young boys who would ask for seconds if you brought in a street girl. i figured i could bluff my way in though, or at least try. the guard would not even open the gate. 'she cannot come in here! this is my hotel, my management will not allow! ' i pleaded that she was my friend, but i knew it was hopeless. i had failed at other hotels before, and knew even if i got by this fellow, the night manager would be an even harder case.
so i felt i was done. screw this girl. get some sleep. i had been hard drinking and mongering for days now. but she said she had a place to go, a hotel her uncle from china ran. we walked about five minutes down a back street and there was a building with a sign in chinese. she seemed to know the boy at the counter who gave us a key. no need to show i'd, and even better, no room charge. we climbed up the stairs for what seemed a long time and found the room. she asked for some money to score cigarettes and mineral water. while she was gone i rummaged through her purse to get some clue as to who she was. she spoke the lingo and looked chinese, but she also spoke nepalese too well. no clues in there. just tissues, some small cash and a phone. no condoms either.
she came back with the loot and disrobed. it took all of about 30 seconds before we were going to business. she had more energy and commitment than me, which is something 19 year old girls (her claimed age) seem to possess when the mood strikes them. i cooperated until i was too exhausted to keep going, then soothed her bites, gropes and clings with calming caresses to lure her to sleep. it was after all nearing 2 am.
when the thrashing finally stopped and i could feel her breath even out into long, deep draws, i knew it was time to make my move. the first quiet slip of the leg from that tangled mess under the covers. move the body over to the edge, listen for any change in breathing or posture that would indicate waking and the real threat of a drunken spurned working girl seeking immediate revenge for current and past insults that had nothing to do with me, but for which i would pay a huge price. now the arm, smooth withdrawal and in sync with my body edging off the bed and arranging itself in a standing position.
pitch dark, got to find the clothes. i had prepared for this moment and placed all my garments in a heap on the other single bed. feeling my way through to the underwear, find the tag, feet through. then the same for pants and shirt. too dark and quick to deal with socks, so into a pants pocket. shoes on and to the door. quietly unlock it and i am out in the hallway. how many flights of unlit steps to the ground floor? three, ah, hoping the hotel door is unlocked as i cross the lobby through piles of sleeping sweeper boys and elderly guards. open the unlocked door and into the driveway.
the gate i knew would be chained with a sleepy watchman tucked under some shelter nearby. i had paid attention to how it opened, and saw how the chain had just enough play for the two metal doors to stretch apart and leave room enough just for the size of my frame. i unlatched the noisy metal gate lock, and opened the doors that squeaked like a crowd of banshees coming home from a feast on unbaptized children. out through the slit with no sign of the guard. i was free.
i immediately made friends with a pack of street dogs who would normally have gone mad for anything with warm blood. they were so astounded with my clicks and furtive pats on the nose that the lead alpha male, a large black beast that had led a hard life, would shift between running point to keep danger away and coming back to see if his new reality was true, would i still pet him? a quick scratch behind his filthy ear and back to run point. another member of the pack kept doing flips in attempts to get my attention and find another petting. they eventually got bored, or knew the end of their territory and watched me disappear into the night.
the streets were dead by now except for a few rickshaw drivers who felt any single male wandering at this time was looking for trouble, so they tried to provide it with offers of just about anything you could want. i made it back to the hotel where the gate keeper seemed to have calmed down. he must have remembered me and the perverted sin i had tried to visit upon his hotel, on his watch! but he didn't say a word when i rapped on the metal to wake him. he opened the doors, 'namaste sir. ' into the hotel and up to the room. safety, whiskey, a quick smoke and the finish of another day in kathmandu.

There I met a girl named poo*a. She was very pretty. She took my number and said she would come next day. However same night at around 12 midnight (everything closed by cops at around 11) she called me said if she can come. She asked for 15000 Rs. I was desperate enough to pay that much but I didn't had that much cash with me. So I said no I can't. Well she came down to 5k. So I said okay. I took a taxi to drive to her hotel (all dancers stayed in the hotel arranged by dancebar owner). Picked her up and bought her to my hotel.

Paid her 2000k which I think was too much for her. A total disaster.
Now am planning 1 more trip to pokhara. This time I am going to do more of traveling rather than visiting dancebar's however if you guys can suggest a good contact. Or a girl or a place then I would be more than glad to visit.

kathmandu gave me an experience of a life time. i went mongering in thailand, macau and india before, but nothing came close to my nepal experience. went to nepal for a 5 day trip, and stayed at thamel the so called most happening place in kathmandu. first day i visited a local dance bar on persuation of a local pimp. beautiful dancers there but got virtually ripped off by girls on drinks and entrance fee. they charged 12000 nepali rupee for a beer and another drink. got out and got so annoyed by the whole incident. so to anyone who visit kathmandu please stay away from dance bars. even tried a massage parlour the same day and in my experience not worth what you spend. i has a decent girl but the whole atmosphere sucks. no private room, just a massage table with curtains to seperate you from open. i got an ordinary hj from the massuse with her clothes on though she allowed a little bit of touching for 3500 nepali rupee. i was feeling quite sorry for the trip after my first day. \
my 2nd day was just the opposiet of my first day. i went to anna casino at 6 pm and spend around 2 hrs there. when i got out i decided to have a burger at kfc which is next to the casino entrance, the only one i found in nepal. as i was walking out i was approached by this guy who wanted to have a chat with me. after a light chitchat he asked me if i wanted any girls for the night and i asked him what is on the menu. he quoted me 20000 for model type and 15000 for college girls. i told him to show the girls before i decide on price. turns out he was a taxi driver and he took me in his taxi to residential area behind thamel and showed me a girl waiting in another taxi. he was very lean with almost no tities and i said no to him. then he took me to another road and we waited for another 10 minutes till another taxi pulled over and a beautiful nepali girl came on to our taxi. i would rate her 8/10 on looks. driver quoted me 20000 for her and i negotiated to 15000 for the night. driver told me that my hotel in thamel won't let girls in and he booked a hotel named sahara for the night for 3000 rupees. we did not even regiter at the reception, as we were shown the room straightaway. ordered 3 beers and some snacks and settled into the room.
we started slowly over a beer and some nice conversation in hindi. she didn't rush a bit. she was weatish with a body to die for. had nice assets allaround with a flat curvy tummy. best indian lookalike i ever had. i slowly undressed her and she was so much into the act that i thought it was a dream. we cuddled each other for quite some time. her tits were perfectly rounded and soft and the ass was toned and bit firm. she was all washed up before we met and she smelled real good. her english was poor and so we conversed in hindi. we sarted in mish and she switched to cow boy in no time. has a great time before i came in same position. looked like she enjoyed a lot tooo. we both were sweating when we were done with the act. we washed up and had beer and snacks. she was not shy as we remained nude for the whole night even when we slept after two more rounds.
my advice to anyone trying mongering in kathmandu is to find a good taxi guy and ask hime for guidence. they won't rip you off if you pay them some commissiona and they are well connected to pimps. my second experience in kath mandu underlines it.

that's over 200 us$. that's way too much that you paid. but yeah, for a new person in nepal, or for any other place, you get tricked, if you do not have any info before hand. check the post earlier to you. 5000 is a reasonable price, quite possible with lesser amount as well.
even the hotel charge of 3000 seems way too high that you accepted. you must have really deep pockets.

I think the kind of girl you are talking about. You can get same type of girl for like 5-6k NRs easily.
I am going to Nepal next week and I will be spending sometime in pokhara. And kathmandu.
However. I already have a girl who will be with me for at least 6-7 days. Its just a local ktm girl. But very beautiful. Who agreed to travel with me around nepal in pokhara and all.
But yeah I can suggest you few hotels. Like hotel hana (not a very good hotel. But thats where I took the girl I picked from thamel) but you get a room for 500nrs. Its near sunckosh chowk. Something something. They alow girls and late night entries. And if you take left from hotel hana you will find alot of hotels which will provide good cheap accommodation. Very clean. For less than 800nrs.
If you want a really high class girl. You can walk around main area of thamel. Talk to people walking upto you. Tell them that you don't want a dancer (else you will be ripped off in a dance bar) and you also don't want a massage parlour. Tell them clear cut you want some thing special. Well you have to walk around and talk to 2-3 of them. Then they will introduce you with few girls. These girls will be either in taxi's or sometimes just sitting back on a scooter of a guy. But again they don't charge less than 5-6k. Depending on the customer they can charge as much as 20k. .
I was offered a girl for 12k. However they came down to 6k. But she was not just kind of the girl I wanted.
