doc.
i just did a week in sm. i have been there twice before but never to monger.
i stayed at a condo called nuevo rodadero. 80k a night. pool gym no hot water. a small store was at the base of the building which was very convienent. also chica friendly.
a short walk to the beach.
the novia stayed for a night then had to go to baq so i was free to explore. hooked up with doc bill and we decided to check out the action. first off there is sw on the beach road in rodadero. i found a spinner who for 100k was gfe. bbbj and she even made my bed aferward. that was a first for me and i got a kick out of that. so me and doc bill first go to flamingos. without a doubt the high end spot in sm. very sharp girls in attendance. they ask 200k for a half hour, but we got phone numbers for half that price off site.
then went around the corner to i thought was los angles but they changed the name to ibeis i think. one stunner sitting outside, but inside the place only a few average looking girls so we left. next we went into the heart of sm and walked down calle #10 and saw many sw, but all were either **** or ugly. ended up at bananas which on friday night they wanted a cover charge, but i talked them out of that. 50k for 25 minutes and there were a couple of 8s but in all my experence i have never heard music so loud. we tried to hang in there but it was unbearable. all in all not a bad trip for the 21 days i spent in baq and sm. also met a new friend in doc bill who speaks good spanish which is nice to have for a wingman.
decent mongering to be had in sm. i did not give address since all the cab drivers know the locations.
vic, it was a pleasure hanging out with you, and your company definitely added to the experience.
i'm going to agree with urban wildlife that santa marta is a great place to bring a girl rather than find one, but having said that there is a lot to be had in santa marta. vic just reported most of what we did so there isn't much i can add. but i'll try.
we also hit a place on the malecon (sea wall) in santa marta called the something ". of love." it's between 10th and 11th where the streetwalkers are. i sessioned there last year, but only because the girl was so hot, not because i liked the place so much. it's kind of crowded, lot of guys getting lap dances, and the male staff is way too pushy. i like to kick back, look around, have a coke. hard to do here. i saw a couple of girls i liked, and most were i'd say 4-8, about 15 or so there, but i didn't like the pushiness of staff so i left.
i think i found the streetwalkers to be of a little higher quality than vic did, but many were clearly ****. no thanks, no chances. i can vouch for the girl vic got on the street in rodadero. she was pretty hot, and i love the added touch of her making his bed.
lots of street action in rodadero. i took a black girl up with me, only to find out once we were in my room that she was pregnant, which for me is just a real turnoff. my apologies in advance to any future mother of my child. anyway we were there and naked so i thought wtf, it's a new experience. it was ok in terms of just getting off, and it only cost the equivalent of usa $25. i would not repeat.
bananas, as vic reports, was unbearably loud. painfully loud. too bad, because there were some lookers there.
i stayed at the sierra hotel and suites. a nice suite. get number 10 if you can, for about $85 usa a night. they are not girl-friendly, but i tipped the night guy and there was no problem once we had an understanding. this will work by the way, in most non-chica friendly places. just be nice, get to know people, and money talks.
i had a big hassle with the hotel checking out. they claimed i had a water and fruit juice from the wet bar the night before. of course the money is negligible but out of principal i just don't like being lied to, especially to my face by some asshole who is starting to raise his voice. well those of you who know me know that i'm pretty gentle, but i blew up in this guy's face, all the while the lady at the desk just looking very concerned. i told him to get the f. k out of my space, and he walked away. the lady said "tranquilo, " and i asked her if she planned to charge me for the drinks, to which she said no. we'll see.
otherwise i had a great time doing nonsexual things. the beach, waterfalls at minca, etc. see urban wildlife's guide for all the good info. overall santa marta is a great place with pretty good, not great, mongering, and an even better place to bring a chica.
editor's note: [blue]i would suggest that the author or another forum member consider posting a link to this report in the reports of distinction thread. please click here for more information.[/blue]
Maybe this doesn't belong here but maybe it will help someone else. Neither I nor several other old-timers of this Forum are able to put a report in the Reports of Distinction, and we are all not stupid (even if I myself am "technologically challenged."
Could someone please put my report below in the Reports of Distinction as Jackson suggests and explain to me how to do it?
Sorry, Jackson, I canīt follow your instructions.

Hi Doc,
Good grief. How hard can it be?
The link to the ROD is already written for you.
It's in the lower left hand corner of the report.
It looks like this [post]Number[/post ]
All you have to do is copy this small little piece of text, and then paste it into a new report in the appropriate ROD thread.
Thanks,
Jackson[/blue]
Doc,
I recently went on a Road Trip to Santa Marta. I stayed in the Hotel Tamaca on Rodadero. The location was great. The service at the hotel was good. Nice spot for the weekend.
I went to La Puerta on Thursday night. The place was full, the girls were only subpar. I bumped into this American guy from LA there. He has lived there for 4 years. He knows the town inside and out.
This guy was great.
I wonder if you can PM me with contact info for that guy from LA living in Santa Marta. He sounds like a great contact.
By the way, is the Hotel Tamaca guest friendly? How much is the hotel per nite?
I have been to Santa Marta and would like to be in contact with the guy who has lived there for the last 4 years. I spent a month there about 3 years ago, and aside from the heat (VERY HOT) it has a lot of available girls who circulate throughout Colombia depending on the time of year. Can you give me the contact info for this guy as I thinking about returning and would like to meet some of the "available" girls who do not work the circuit.
Gracias
I would like to know if anyone (and yes, I have RTFF) has found a decent chica-friendly hotel at the beach in Rodadero? Does this not exist? Apartment?
This was my second stay at Hotel Sierra and my last. They are not girl friendly, yes you can tip the night guy, but they are rude and dishonest. I would not recommend any more. Where can I stay next time, guys? UL?
Yea like the previous poster, I RTFF for this past year and I guess the only place it like Calle 10 and Cra 1, 2, 3 or in that area along with the beach. I will be in Rodadera on Friday though Sunday and would like to hook up with some one that knows thier way around. I am new to the city and don't have alot of time to explore by my self the way I usually like to do.
I do have a phone number and will respond if someone PMs me. One thing though. I am not into really loud music, Colombians really like to have thier music really loud I have noticed. I don't, not unless I am paying for and going to a concert of my choosing. Colombians really take the cake on this. By far the loudest night clubs and bars any where on the planet. Just my 2 cents.
You obviously haven't been to Cuba! But yes, in general, for some reason, Latinos like to sit in dark dingy bars with music or tv extremely extremely extremely loud. I don't get it, and I avoid it like the plague.
Vickīs Pick and I went to a good club in SM, Banana's, one night, and they lost our business only because the music was unbearably loud. Don't these people know?
I am seriously considering making an offer on this real estate listing.

It takes a minute for the slide show to start.
I am a white male gringo in my mid sixties and want to retire to Colombia.
Should I make this purchase am I painting a target on my back?
Would there be resentment from the locals?
Can you think of any problems that I might have?
Would it be safe to have one or two different chicas a week up for fun and games?
Any comments are welcome
Thanks

Thanks
You shouldn't have any problems, but have you ever been to Colombia? If not, you should rent a place there for 3 months before deciding if it's the place for you!
I am in Cartagena now but may be visiting Santa Marta very soon. Does anyone have contact info for the American living in Santa Marta? Or know of any contacts in Santa Marta?
