Azul as a CDV girl?
Nope. I don't think so.
You still don't have the eye to distinguish differences between upper class girls and club girls.
Let me guess. It's the platform shoes, right?
By the way, for those of you that do not know what CDV means it is an acronym in reference to the Colonial Del Valle sector, one of the most exclusive areas in all of Mexico. Individuals with net worths similar to that of Hermosa Beach, CA. In fact, they just opened a Ferrari/Maserati dealership here. Old, family money often with European descent. Nice homes(2500-4000 sq.foot) here go for 500k-1MM+. More in the Montana sector.
And this is with cheap concrete, cinder block construction. It would be almost triple the cost to build in the U.S with a conventional stick-built/poured concrete home.
It ain't the shoes.
It's shows all over the board: skin tone, body language, way they speak, way they dress.
I've seen them at Plaza Fiesta San Agustin and Valle Oriente malls.
They stick out like a sore thumb.
Maybe it was good... on a Sunday... I don't think you would have found anything good.
Thanks for the confirmation. Unfortunately, my work schedule pretty much leaves only the weekends for sightseeing. Are Saturdays better? I never had a problem with Saturday afternoons in Ciudad Juarez.
On another note, there are two strip clubs just down the street from the Sheraton, Maxim and Reno. Any opinion on either or both?
That is Marcella. If you are still here next Sunday, a girl named Abril works there only on the weekends that was recommended to me by one of my favoritas. I have been meaning to try her out but have not had the time. Commonglass recently sessioned with her and gave his approval.
I'll be sure to check her out if I have the chance. Thanks for the tip.
Reno is part of the Amnesia-Premiere family.
I think it's the only club that allows take out.. but EXPENSIVE takeout.
Did I say "expensive"?
As expensive and maybe some as a US strip club.
THis is their webpage:
http://www.renomonterrey.com/
Maxim is not a SC, itīs a bar girl club.
You go in, pick up a girl and take her to a hotel.
But mostly the manifest is composed of veterans that can't find jobs at SCs
Beware of the Spugna MC at a couple of blocks away from the Sheraton.
It is almost a tourist trap.
No good that club.
Poisson, the flagship of that family is much better.
And Saturdays... well, more or less.
Am a SC man myself, and the afternoon shift at Infinito is more or less acceptable, so, yes... let's say that Saturday's are much better than a Sunday.

Fuddzie.
Price range goes from 200 pesos at Amnesia to as low as 50 pesos at the Madero and Villagran st clubs.
Costs for full service also are wide depending on the club.
Prices might start at 1300 pesos at Casino, Pasarelas, Harem, going down to 450-300 at Tangalay and Infinito respectively.
Fuddzie, too many clubs to set a range.
Every each club has it's own set price but more or less the number is 50 pesos.

I was joking about the shoes.
I hang out at the Valle Oriente Mall every week as they have a great MM movie theatre there that charges only $8.00 for a first-rate theatre by U.S. standards.
As for the distinction, the lighter-tone skin color is the dead giveaway. Also, as is the case for most of the wealthy class in all cultures, they tend to be taller than their proletariat counterparts.
I don't want to contradict my good friend USB, but the matter of fact is that Spugna beign part of the Poisson group is as expensive as hell.
Barfines, if they have them, should be as high as 1000 pesos if not 1500.
Total fee should have come out to 300 dlls minimum.
One question: are you sure you went to Spugna?
Let me tell you that not even me would walk those 3 blocks from the Sheraton to Spugna alone at night.
Actually....Believe it or not, one night when I stayed at the Sheraton, and in my efforts over the last several months to canvas the city for Cindy #1, I visited Spugna. I went there one night when I was feeling tired, not really wanting to look for a taxi, fight the traffic, walk too far, etc...So, I just walked down there from the Sheraton. I had relatively conservative expectations because I had always heard the same kinds of reports about Spugna.
I was surprised to find a perfectly charming young girl there that was not at all predatorial. I carried on a very nice conversation with her, only bought her one drink, and ventured back to the hotel with her only after about forty five minutes. She agreed to go for 1000 pesos, and I don't recall paying a bar fine. She was an absolutely outstanding GFE, no up-selling, nothing but the real thing in every respect.
So, while typically Spunga may be predatorial, I found it to be relatively convenient to the hotel, and appropriate to my mongering style. Probably just a fluke...
Sure, it WAS Spugna...I mean, it is sooooo close I could crawl there from the Sheraton.
And, it may be part of the Poisson group, but one would never know it by the quality of the girls inside the place. I classify it similar to a place like Azul Tequila, mediocre quality of girls with an occasional hottie, high prices, same brand of unscrupulous waiters, etc...except for the girl I found...undoubtedly a fluke. That's why I was so shocked...
As for the dangers of walking there, the criminal element is mobile...showing up just as easily in CDV. In fact, much better hunting grounds for the criminales in CDV than outside of Spugna, verdad? I felt safer there than walking around Villa Gran.
But, no argument here...I agree that the occasional or newbie visitor will likely be fleeced at Spugna.

Similar to Azul Tequila?
What a coincidence: Poisson, Spugna, Pasarelas and Azul Tequila and I think even Womans, fly under the same flag.
That is the reason why Spugna "feels" like Azul Tequila.

Poisson does have quality girls, expensive, but at least you will leave with a smile on your face, all be it significantly poorer for having gone there.
Pasarelas is the best of all four because they offer a generally consistent quality of selection, and the cost is just moderately higher than the lower end bars, maybe about 40% more for the cost of a salida. Actually, it varies depending on your ability to negotiate, what day of the week it is, how busy they are, etc...Generally, I am quoted 850 pesos for the salida, and the girls range between costing 1000 and 1500 pesos. But, I have been able to get girls out of there for as little as 650 pesos, 750 pesos, and 800 pesos, with an occasional range of girlfriend(s) that I have known for a while, offering it for as little as 800 pesos, sometimes 4-6 hours, and even, sometimes, for free. But, of course, we all recognize the underlying entrapment associated with the freebie, so I always pay, ALWAYS. The Freebie comes, I'm sure, with their anticipation that they are always going to be paid. They know me well, and know that I would not take advantage of them that way.
Getting "service" at a reduced rate, and for extended times, is possible, very possible, and at no additional cost. But, it requires you to "know" the girls, and to get into their heads, and to charm them beyond the conventional "business" arrangement, a sometimes relatively expensive endeavor over time with respect to drinks, and certainly not always a sure thing that the business will transcend into something more personal. Transcending the business relationship, depending on the girl, is almost always my goal. It is probably successful less than 20% of the time, but it does happen, and more often than one might suspect is possible. The truth is, playing them all can actually become relatively complicated and stressful. So, to have a 20% success rate is certainly more than one should even ask for. Considering the numbers of girls one has to juggle, it is certainly more than enough to rub one raw.
I take issue with this notion that they are "Always" there for the money because I have proven the opposite to myself so many times that it's not even a supportable argument with me. They are certainly there for the money, but they are not always there solely for the money. I believe that of the ones that are unique in this way, they are there for fun and money...and who knows what lurks in the twisted minds of these girls. As Amigomio often says, many of them are crazy...I don't care why (crazy) they are there, just that they are. Thank God they are crazy.
One can only conclude that if you do the work, and there are girls that are willing to stay with you for extended periods, on the expectation that you will pay them, or not, or if they agree to cheap rates, 4, 6, 8, 12 hours, sometimes spending todo la noche, all for 500-1000 pesos, and they do so over successive periods of time, month after month, year after year, consistently being there...one can only conclude one thing...They wanna be there, money not withstanding. In my book, the barometer is always "time versus cost." That is the benchmark in determining their motivation. Behavior is the true barometer, and I have tested many of them so many times.
Getting back to the comparison of the four bars...
What I notice with respect to there being a similarity between Azul and Pasarelas is that waiters fleece their patrons more openly than in some other bars we regularly visit. But, that having been said, Pasarelas is still one of my favorites places, and Azul is not even on my radar. Pasarelas is sometimes a little inconsistent with respect to selection, but generally, at least lately, they are relatively consistent and there are a lot of girls.
I would have definitely rated Pasarelas above the quality of selection at Casino in the past, and probably rated Casino under the quality of selection available at Harem, except that I prefer the environment at Pasarelas to Harem. But now, Both Casino and Harem have become so much more than they used to be, that I would rate Casino and Harem above Pasarelas. Costs are almost identical between the three.
Spugna is not nearly the quality of selection of either Poisson or Pasarelas, and were I not to have had such a great experience there, I would not have even considered returning. I did NOT notice the open dishonesty of the waiters in Spugna and that I routinely experience in Pasarelas, and even to a greater extent in Azul.
With respect to Azul Tequila, I have learned my lesson there. It is about the same quality of selection as Spugna, and the larceny in that place is so prevalent that I would never recommend anyone to go there.

You are not going to like Harem anymore.
Remember we keep talking about the younger clientel?
Well it's being focused on that brand of customers.
Now that Harem has expanded, they have added a new sound system, one that has the music SO LOUD, that it's unbearable to sit for more than 5 minutes.
And thatīs what the young want: loud
I just don't go there anymore after Harem being my favorite watering hole for so many years.

It was terribly loud before...maybe the loudest in all of Monterrey. I had hoped the expansion would absorb the shock waves. Apparently, the management permits the DJs to crank it up now even more.
I hate loud sound systems, mostly because it really inhibits my ability to talk to the girls, a key element of my overall schtick. I also absolutely deplore the loud and constantly irritating DJs.
Actually, Pasarelas has always been quite acceptable with respect to the noise level, and so is Casino these days. Spugna was also acceptable.
And, this one issue illustrates what separates me, and presumably all of us that are "mature" in our perspectives concerning tactics, from the "young," who have none, and admitedly, may not always need them. We operate on a different level than the young...but, make no mistake, we are all still "operators" just the same, making things come together to our own enrichment, and in our own unique way. Thus, talking to the girls is paramount to our success.
We are always looking at tactical approaches that enhance our experiences, realizing that a loud sound system is strictly a detriment. Truth be known, the girls hate those loud sound systems as much as we do. Can you imagine enduring that crap night, after night, after night? It must be hell on earth, and is according to almost every girl I have known over the years.
You know me well. That issue is a huge part of my overall evaluation process of the clubs, along with the obvious quality of selection and relative cost considerations.

Now am really contradicting you.
Seems you don't know how the new generations work.
The use of loud noise is precisely to get rid of old geezers.
And that is not exclusive of SCs.
It's inclusive of all joints up and down legal and irregular businesses.
They use loud music to scare the old folk away and it works.
Hell, my wife stopped going to a beauty parlor cause they play music loud.
The barber shop where I take my son plays loud music. I have to take him cause my wife hates it.
I went to a parents school night to celebrate a young single mom's birthday.
Guess what, all of the present ones were 30somethings and they got kareoke for fun playing music so loud you couldn't talk to the guy to your side.
So stop saying that it's a detriment when it's an asset for them.
If it filters the old and play loud to ring in young customers AND it works, they are going to use it.
Let me tell you that I spoke to the manager that now oversees the Harem, Casino and Bahamas... sorry to tell you but they are going to do the same thing to Casino.
I told him the music was too loud at Harem... he just stared at me and said "no it ain't"

Good evening gentlemen. It has been awhile since my last post since unfortunately, my travels have not taken me in the direction of Monterrey as of late. But that is about to change (hooray!) as I will be flying in next Sunday. Have some business to attend to during the days but plan on making my rounds once the work day ends. AmigoMio, I will be hitting up Infinitos for sure, so let me know if you want to catch up. I eagerly anticipate my return and look forward to the amazing scene. I've been reading and see some new contributors to the forum and as usual continue to consider this the best information sharing site that I have been a part of. Can't wait to be there.
