Greetings and some questions
Hi guys,
Newbie here, like to say Hi and have some questions. First of all I am living in Thailand for 10 years now and I want to correct some people here that saying that Thailand is cheaper than Kenya. Its not true, you will not find decent accommodation under 1000 baht, that is already 3000 Kshillings. The going rate for short time is the same 1000 baht, more than this in Bangkok or Phuket. Not sure about food and drinks, but it went up significantly lately. Local street food will cost you 40-60 (180 KES) baht, anything international starting from 200 (625KES) baht and up.
Now, I have some questions:
1. Is hotel Kahama is girls friendly? Do they charge any extra?
2. In their website they claim to have wifi internet in every room, but on tripadvisor site customer said its available only in pool / reception area.
3. What should I pay for rental car per day, or per 10 days? Any nice, nature places to visit around Mombasa?
4. Is 3G internet service is cheap and available on prepaid local sim cards?
5. What places / discos normal / middle class girls going, that are not expecting you to pay them for sex?
Thank you in advance for answering,
Meow
Maybe read the forum a bit.

Meow[/QUOTE]Move your eyes down to my post 3 postings down from what you've written re the Kahama, the post starting "Bit of a scene setter for Newbies..."
Yes, yes, yes, the Kahama is girlfriendly. Its the best monger hotel I've stayed in.
Get a "superior" bedroom for approx 3945ksh I think thats the double price and you won't be charged extra. You don't have to check-in your girl the receptions open, just drift in. I did just get a wi-fi signal in my room, better higher up. 3G is claimed to be available. Get a sim at the safaricom shop at mombasa airport 100ksh.
There is some sort of zoo at the back of the malindi road, search for Haller Park, Mombasa. If you like nature spend a couple of days on safari you'll go to Tsavo and see the icons of africa. A two day, one night safari would be good, beware of being packed into a minibus with many tourists though.
If you mean self drive you need cojones of steel to mix it with the locals.
"Normal middle class girls". ? No idea, I thought this was a monger forum.
