Cheap night out in Boca Chica
If you want to cut back on the budget, it can be done.
Travel tips you won't find in the American Airlines in-flight magazine.
For dinner I had a fried breast of chicken with plantains from the "Chino" restaurant in Calle Duarte, which was $45 pesos, then I splashed out another $10 pesos for a bottle of water, so the whole meal came to $55 pesos, which is $1. 50 in US money. It would have been cheap, except that I blew an extra $45 pesos for a mango flavored Italian ice cream for dessert from the guy who has a home ice cream factory and a tiny store in the street.
Then for the cabaret I went to the little brothel on the hill on the way down to the Costalunga hotel, just across the road from Villa Florenzia, the stunning building with all the statues. I told them that I only had $1000 pesos (which was true as far as the contents of my pocket at that moment) and was there anything available? They grumped a bit, but obviously it was a slow night, and I was given a choice of 4 girls. The one I took was called Joanny and was actually one of the better fucks I have ever had with some great moves. None of the girls there are stunners in terms of appearance, but they are good company and aim to please. The ambience is a little primitive there, but I find that a turn-on. As I had no more money, I tipped her a spare condom, which she appreciated.
Last (day 5) in Boca Chica
Said goodbye to novias brother and his amigo, and went into town so's Princessa could get her hair and nails done in prep for our last two days in Punta Cana with my buddy, his wife and two teenage daughters.
Buddy had met her in Sosua, but to invite her and me to spend two full days with them in a high end hotel seemed a little daunting!
After 3 hours in the beauty shop, with me down the street in the bar, we headed back to the Hamaca Hotel. We hung around the pool but no sign of the chick from Boston.
Back in the room I grabbed her camera to download pictures to my laptop, but whoah! No pictures.
What happened? She said she'd accidently deleted them all.
So I go into the Spanish Inquisition mode, complete with the ritual swearing on mama and bambinos life.
She said that some of the photos of us and the Boston chick, and the ones of me joking around with the chicas at the street party were embarrasing to her, and she didn't want me bring them home to show to my friends. She said she had tried to delete just a couple, but accidently deleted them all. (camera I gave her had english menues etc.)
I don't know, there were some good ones of her at the beach, that she really liked, so maybe that was the truth. Some of the others were me being a little over the top, and I know my former wives would have probably done the same.
Anyway, we go for dinner, see the show at the hotel and an early start tomorrow for Punta Cana.
We had a good time there and although I'll be in Sosua in April, I'll definitely be back to Boca.
