Quick question for those in the know:
How much of the amount charged for an hour with a GDP in a Terma...say 4x4 for example (please also report on others if known, including private massagems) at 200R for a standard cabine...does a GDP get?
I figure this is a good question as it gives us an idea of where to begin negotiations for take out; theory being if they normally get 100R for an hour on site, then 200-250R for 3 hrs or all night would be a steal for us!
Thanks in advance!

I have asked a few GDPs this very question. They told me that, in the termas where the charges are broken down separately for the room and for the girl, all of the girl fee goes to the girl and all of the room fee goes to the house. The entrance fee goes to the house as well. Whether this is true or not I don't know, but this is what I was told. In those termas where everything (except the entrance fee) is lumped into one charge, I don't know.
We sat in one bar to start off with that was for locals. They gave us some plastic chairs and we sat outside on the pavement as it was busy inside. 3 big bottles of beer came to around 10 reals. We then moved on to the bar I mentioned. From what I can remember it was on the left hand side of the street facing the beach. After looking at the map it was probably opposite the strip bars Erotica or Nikos. I think the owner may have been a gringo. Tall man with a bold head. Anyways this was my first visit to this area, but will give it another go after some more research.
I think that the bar you are on about is called alasanders, opposite erotica and next to nikos. The owner is a gringo. European. You get a few gdp's go in there on the way to balconey.

Centro is not near any 'night action' to speak of the same way there is night action in Copa. Like two different cities. Plenty of non-GDP partying round the corner from the Ibis in Centro. And the main centro termas are walking distance. But you get the Metro from Centro to Help or the beach.
The Ibis is great. But I'd still recommend most newbies to stay in Copa or Ipa. And if you take a girl from Copa back to Centro you somehow lose the atmosphere IMO.
Copa/Ipa are beach, sun, babes a-plenty and gringos don't look out of place hitting on all the outdoor flesh that roams the GDP bars.
Centro is like any other main city centre. Pussy action is generally behind closed doors.

Flavia Massagems
I just checked out the FM website and noticed that the entire staff is different than it was 1.5 months ago. Is this typical for Centro termas?
I assume Flavia wasn't one of those busted in the police raids. Or maybe they were and this is why the girls were changed?
This really irritates me. Brenda at FM was a outstanding 3 hole cum ho, even wanted to take me bareback in her culo. I had intentions of recruiting her for TLN in a few months when I get back to Rio! So pissed.

Early Opening Termas?
Any termas open as early as noon on weekdays? Ideally Copa area or Centro. I have a late afternoon GIG flight out, don't think I can squeeze in a session at Monte Carlo (opens at 3pm, as I remember) and still make it.

Any price on the rio hotel?
It was buttons when I last enquired. Can't remember - 20R or thereabouts. It's old and dingy, so not for you if you like creature comforts. The rooms are viable for a puta but quite seedy. I just had it as a fall-back option one time when Ibis and Formule were bursting and I wasn't sure how far my cash would go (Ibis to me is expensive, but I've stayed there for maybe a month earlier this year).

a book for newbies
Don't know if this has been mentioned recently. Bwana Dick has done a 2009 update of his Rio guide which you can download from:
{{{oooops! - Have tried unsuccessfully to post several coded versions of the download site but all rejected by the ISG electronic checker - so just google for
"Bwana dik rio guide 2009".
It'll come up easily.}}}
Quite good for a newbie "all you need to know" to get started guide. And very nicley written and formatted. 72 pages. Still needs a map or two and a basic phrase guide though. (And it admits the familiar laughable bias against VM - most of that section can be ignored.)
The temperature conversion chart at the end before the listings of termas and so on gave me a laugh -
35C = 95F
37C = 97.8F
39C = 102.2F
41C = Ridiculously Fucking Hot

Yes, Termas Aeroporto opens at noon. I've not tried to session there and then catch a flight, so I don't know how tight that will make your schedule. NS Copacabana 583 #203 and #204 may be open then as well.
