"Real fake" no doubt.
But of course the International Driving Permit has no value in itself and must always be accompanied by the original national driver's licence.
See article 41,2, (a), (ii) of the "CONVENTION ON ROAD TRAFFIC" (Vienna 8 November 1968, as amended many times):
2. (a) Contracting Parties shall recognize:
(i) (. . .);.
(ii) Any international permit conforming to the provisions of Annex 7 to this Convention, on condition that it is presented with the corresponding domestic driving permit.
Wolve. This is all relevant to us but has no relation to the BiB, since it most likely even their superior doesn't know about it and even if they did wouldn't be able to explain it so it could be understood and if they understand it they wouldn't be able to explain it to you in English.

I don't want to get caught with a false "motorcycle endorsement" stamp on my IDP and no such endorsement on my domestic driver's licence.
And that is what I am not getting about this. Because before I had a Thai license, I had no problem with just using my USA license by itself without an International Driving Permit here or in any other country I have been to. As a matter of fact when I rent cars in other countries I do it using my Thai license and they don't even understand that.
FYI the Thai license for people on tourist visas is now good for 2 years instead of 1 year as it was before.
Of course, you know that the USA is not a member of the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic, so the IDP rules I explained do not apply to you. Perhaps Thailand and the USA have a bilateral agreement about recognizing each other's driver's permits.

Night Life in Pattaya
Finally caught up on some much needed rest and had enough energy to go out. Stopped at the Angel Witch and had a couple of beers. Watched the shows. About 1 am I headed to The Marine Disco. Wow, must have been too early for that place. It was empty. Headed straight to IBar. Very crowded. Started off at the ground floor. Soon after I headed upstairs and enjoyed a few more beers and met up with a mid twenties girl. After a while she asked if I wanted some company back at my hotel. I said sure. How much. She said 2000 baht. I said sorry, my mother doesn't let me pay more then 1000 baht for short time. She got a kick out of it but didn't want to come down on her price. So I walked away. Not three minutes later. Met a curvy dark haired cutie with a big smile and thick thighs. We hit it off. I asked her how much and she said. Up to you. In such situations I always reply with. Free! She laughed. I offered 1000 baht and her smile got even bigger. Haha, probably could have offered 500 baht. Bad cheap charily! We headed out. Got to the hotel, cleaned up. And had a great time. Well worth the 1000 baht. We said our good byes and off she went. It was almost 6 am when she left. Ouch!

Saturday
Well, didn't quite plan my morning very well. Got a phone call from the front desk asking if I wanted to extend my stay. Oops, I forgot to pay for another week yesterday. So up I get and pay for the room. Went to eat. Walked the Beach. About 3 pm get a massage. Walked the Beach some more. It's good for you. Was going to head to the room when a great big smile caught my eye. Had to stop even if to only say Hello. Very friendly 24 year old. With a prototypical big Thai smile. I priced her. 800 baht. I counter with 700 baht just to see and she didn't even hesitate and said sure. Her smile was to warm and inviting. So I said ok. Get to the room and she was very relaxed and easy going. Playful and full of laughter. A very comfortable girl to be around. Wow, she was all good. Tight body, great with her hands, had some skills. Another Blue Chipper. Dropped her off at a store and went for dinner. Back at the hotel taking it easy.

Visiting pattaya shortly
Hi fellow ISGians.
I am visiting Pattaya first time shortly. RTFF now have a rough idea about WS, LKMetro, Soi bukhao. The Gogo bar scene, The clubs, The beach road freelancers, etc.
Anyone has good independent, affordable contacts, if anyone can share, specially I like Europeans, Russians, Blondes with good service and body shape, and good GFE who can communicate at least little bit in English. I am also looking for some good company for sightseeing, [CodeWord117] and enjoyment during daytime, a good GFE.
Someone will say for Russians why come here, go to Russia, but for me coming to Thailand is more feasible and cheap than going to Europe or Russia. Shall be obliged if the experienced ones can throw some light or pm me some tips / contacts.
Thanks in anticipation.

Morning Walk
Had breakfast and had my morning stroll up and down the Beach Walk. I noticed a couple of bikes being chained together by the local Police. The interesting part was the owners were there and they looked like street vendors. I also witnessed a foreigner getting a citation for driving the wrong way on a one way street. It looks to me like the number of Police out has increased slightly in recent days. Could be the beginning of the month and they are trying to hit quotas. Who knows, just an observation. And a friendly heads up.

....The reference to the International License isn't a license at all! It is a Permit....
Lot of text, but you don't get it!
Sorry I speak German. Maybe you are right it's a permit not a license. But what I said is still the way it works!
1. Farang is always doing wrong. Even when you did everything correct.
2. The Police like your money -so they find ways to get it.
3. If you live in Thailand, you need the Thai Permit and the International is only for Holidays or short time stay.
But it's up to you, what you want to believe. - not my problem! I had an accident with bicycle and 3 Policeman tried to tell me that it is may fault, when a crazy Thai Motorbike catch me from the back. - I could proof that the driver lied. Then it was OK. With the bicycle you don't need Permit. But with car or motorbike you will have a big Problem with the wrong Permit.
Forget about good service from Russians. All reports on this and similar other sites agree on one thing: these girls (or rather women) are experts of giving you a good feeling and experience in the club but once out of the club, they will "escort" you to your hotel and then say good bye.
Whatever is reported on these Russians, the word "cheap" is never used. They are expensive, they want payment up front and they don't provide any valuable service outside of the club. Inside of the club, they are friendly as long as the money keeps rolling.

Thanks in anticipation.
After reading all the relevant posts here (and possibly a few other forums) if you still wish to go after the CIS women in Thailand, I can wish you nothing but good luck. The CIS women you may encounter in Thailand are simply a waste of time and money IMHO. They will all ask for 3 times the money you might pay a Thai girl, will demand the money upfront and then simply not provide one quarter the service you will get from the most average Thai girl.
Of course, if this is all OK with you just for the feeling of having bedded a 'Russian' then there are plenty of women waiting in Thailand to relieve you of your cash.
There is an old adage. A fool and his money are soon parted.

As I noted, what they think their culture the BIB even the temple etc. Has nothing to do with who is a fault. The only determination is the rules and laws of driving which believe it or not are taken from the West. If you actually feel that way why even come! Stay home that way you wouldn't be blame for anything!
Personally, you lost me after " still the way it works " not sure what all the other stuff has to do with my comment?

Sunday Evening Stroll
After dinner walked the beach. Seen a lot of girls out tonight. And at Beach Road and Soi 6 around 8:30 pm. Police check point. I counted 10 officers. And a lot of folks getting pulled over and receiving citations. Welcome to Pattaya! Stopped and priced one girl and she said 1000 baht. I countered with 700 and she said ok. After talking with her a tad longer I decided to move on. Came across a thick legged cutie with a big smile. Had to say Hello,. Asked how much. She said 1000 baht. I counter with 700. And she says 800. Sold! Off we went. Another top performer. She was worth every baht. Cleaned up and dropped her off at the beach walk. Another satisfied customer.

Indeed, Beach Road has been unusually good lately in the evenings (not as good as heyday, but better than I ever remember in 2015). Got one for 600 baht, another one for 700 baht ST recently.
