Good one! However, isn't using that perplexing PI abbreviation three times in one sentence with three separate connatations bound create even more confusion?
You mean for example?...I did have a Private Investigator and it was while I was in the Phillipine islands working as a Penile Implant.
I see. You're right. That could be embarrassing...and painful. :)
Gentlemans Massage - After reading the 3(?) reports from a recent newcomer all singing the praises of this fine establishment i decided it was somewhere i might try if i remembered....as it turned out they advertise in a free publication in Pattaya, it had a map, and i decided to give it a go. I recall it being at the end of 3rd road as you join Pattaya Nua Road (?). First off don't look for a sign saying Gentlemans Massage....no, that would be too easy, look for the frosted glass entrance, street sign in Thai, and many stickers on the frosted glass saying www.fm.com, the only other sign said Fashion Massage.
Walk in papa is there, there are a few couches a counter on the right and a raised area on the left, the 3 girls i see are sprawles out on the sofa's half asleep. They make no effort to move after i enter, papa sits me down and explains the menu, i don't remember much of it to be honest.
30 minute Hand Relief - 750 Baht (or 950, not sure now)
60 minute massage, HJ and BJ - 1,500
I think FS was 1,900
Anyway, i pick the 60 minute HJ and BJ, pap explains that with my package, the second girl is half price....hmmm i had to think about it, but i was so tired from the heavy night before, i didn't want to be working, i wanted to be enjoying so i opted out. Then papa asks the 3 girls to take their seats and a 4th girl appears from a back room, they sit on the raised area....this can be intimidating for some, but i made a quick choice and we were off upstairs.
We went to the 3rd floor, the room was spacious, large bed, corner jacuzzi tub steroe system and lots of quaint, authentic Thai items, the trouble was that it was very old, there was damp mould everywhere, even in the tub and that made it feel dirty. I was asked to undress and take shower...yep, shower in the tub...alone....she joined eventually when she realised i was waiting. After the shower there was a pretty lame massage which involved a little body slip and slid action with the oil, but it was all very lame, my girl kept yawning (and i was supposed to be tired). Flip over time came, she oiled it up and started with a vigerous HJ, after 5 minutes she reached for a condom, i explained i didn't want FS, she said it was for the BJ, i laughed and asked why, she said it was better, i disagreed, she proceeded to BBBJ, but kept reaching and spitting into my used shower towel. After around 10 minutes i was really bored, it wasn't happening, she'd had her chance, so i took matters into my own hands and provided her with a deep cleansing facial. The remaining time was spent massaging my arm...yep, about 20 minutes or so i would guess, just massging my arm, and doing it very badly...(how do you massage an arm badly!?!?). I showered dressed, paid her the 1,500 and went downstairs, as we entered the room, the silly tart referred to me as keeneow (Stingy/Tight with money) to her colleagues, with a smile on my face i left.
Would i go back........NO, does anything reported on this board about that place ring true........NO....having said that, surroundings aside, my bad experience was with an individual, not an establishment. YMMV.
The guy wrote like a carnival shill (the original guy who gave it the great review)......but thanks for taking one for the boy's!! (that's one place to wipe off the bucket list)

Cerebral Meltdown
I've travelled to Thailand many times over the years. May be I'm a bit jaded or experienced, but I find I settle into my familiar routine when there. Hence I need your help. For my forthcoming trip I'll be accompanied by a friend. He's never experienced mongering, barely travelled overseas and can't conceptualise what he's about to encounter. For that reason I'd like to make his trip very, very memorable. Please, any and all suggestions on where I can take him that will completely and utterly challenge him sexually would be greatly appreciated. Same message posted in Bangkok forum.

I can attest that the darkside is well worth a visit. There are many good locations there with many nice, dirty girls. PM me and I can let you know of another board where you can get a map of The Darkside. Also read my TR on Pattaya, day 5 I think about Darkside bars.

This is by far the funneist thing I read. After you masturbate and the girl is massaging your arm.
Why not do it in your room and put ben-gay afterwards. Will save you time, money, etc.

Hi Bayareapundit,
Looks like you had really bad time; I am also Indian and have been going to BKK & other regions in Thai since 1999. Initial I did work for time there when my company was implementing the GSM networks and after the work was over in 2000 I still made a few 10's of trips every year. Most of them were on transit when flying to US, OZ, Japan. I did spend a few years in NJ area.
Yes Thai’s do not like Indian on the face of it but once they get over the initial period they are pretty warm people, One of the reasons why in the night life, bars, etc. , they are not welcome is majority of them would just sit with drink and many of them who come are people who made money and just don’t know how to behave. They are basically aggressive in there talk & body language. Even within India if you look at people from North / Delhi are aggressive in there body language.
I know quite few BG’s who told me, one of the reasons they hate is they do not pay, or pay what was agreed or after taking to room a whole bunch other’s also want hers. This is some of the experiences the BG’s had and word goes around in BG network so fast that they beat even the some world fast networks. Also on the hygienic front they are low. In the same breath they tell me you not same same, you jade?
I had no problem in Nana, SC, and most of the bars know me as I come often and do spend money like any other normal visitor. I have myself seen Indian & Arabs been stopped and I been let in. I have also been to some of high end Thai places, initial with the local people and later on my own. These high end places do not entertain even white people if they go on there own, unit you go with some local thai’s.
Lucky you did not get your self hurt, Thai’s are pretty aggressive when it comes dealing with foreigners / falangs, they would beat the shit of them if you try pick a fight. I did see, 1st hand myself during all these years of travel.
On tearing the notes it is major offence as the notes have there HRM Kings, picture which could have landed with prison sentence. Remember the guy from Chaing Mia who was imprisoned and later HRM gave pardon after spending a few months in jail and he was deported & blacklisted where he can never again step in Thai.
Like other mentioned we just need to go with tide, remember there 1000’s of others who want your money, just relax and enjoy a holiday. BTW my wife is Thai? I met her 2000 and been married for the last 8 yrs. . I still enjoy traveling to the country quite often.
Cheers

Religious holidays
My recent visit to Pattaya was marred by the authorities heavy-handed imposition of some religious holiday. Thursday was the actual day, and I wasn't surprised to see everything closed down on that day, but this went on through the whole weekend! There were only a few bars sort of half-open, and though I don't drink, I was saddened to see alcohol was banned. Needless to say girls were not in their usual supply, including down on the beach. Just a few here and there, and more pimps and thugs along the beach than girls.
I don't recall this religious weekend being imposed in previous years.

I wonder what other holidays have similar observance practice. I think the holiday you mention was a religious one. Hopefully, only religious holidays bring out the gestapo. I will be there over Labor Day (May 1).

For someone living here, you remain incredibly ignorant of things. The holiday in question was Makka Buchha Day and was only on Thursday. The reason that booze was banned and many places were closed over the weekend had nothing to do with this holiday, but was because of the Senatorial elections. Banning booze for an election that few Thais care about was universally condemned. But, such is the already apparent stupidity of the new puppet regime.
Think Pattaya isn't dangerous? Check out this news link.
Its both sad and funny as hell. Pattaya is a circus in every aspect. Enjoy.
http://pattayacitynews.net/news_update.html
I'm deciding whether to stay in Bangkok or Pattaya during my next Thailand visit. Based on all the news reports within the link, Pattaya sounds like a dangerous place and I should probably go to Bangkok instead. Would you all agree?
Thanks for in advance for your advice.

No place is dangerous in the wolrd as long as you think with your head & not your dick :) unitl you plan to vist Iraq or Afgan or Pak for holiday or night life.
Thai is perfect place for holiday as long you keep to you self and enjoy your holiday. Posting here I persume you are single male traveling to enjoy the best of the night life.
If your sole aim is to enjoy nightlife, Pattaya wins in this. You get more kick to your $$$ than Bkk. PTY is not at all dangerous as long you think with your head and not with your dick. The sad part is, people who get hurt are those who leave there brains back home and come here.
There are million's people who go and have a nice time, provided you know some of the basics how to go about. Read this forum, it walking history which will tell you how to go about right from the time you step out of plane and put your foot in the "Land of Smiling".
PTY is far less expensive than BKK and you have wide range of nightlife compared to Bkk, right from the go-go bars, beer bars, disco and the hotels.
Just remember that one stray incedient does not mean it is like dangerous place like you step in your either killed, mugged, shot or taken for ride. Like the old saying "One Cocku does not summer".
Enjoy your holiday and if you have any specific question I would be glad to help. I am old hand who travelled across Thai, since 1994 but post very less here befor due to my job pressures working across different time zones.
Enjoy your holiday, and do not just get carried away with a few reportinings, end of the day they are also working. "No Money No Homey" and also do not get carried away with the sweet BG's talk. They love you at the first sight. That is you are walking ATM.
Just leave your heart back home and come. Not your head.
Cheers

Gren 62,
I travelled to some asia countries the last years and I always felt very save. Specially in Pattaya, there is so much life on the street and if you treat the locals with just a little respect to her culture, than you will have a great time. For me, it is always a perfect comination to stay in both areas. Several days in PTT just for hang around and play with girls, and before leaving to my home I stay 2-3 nights in BKK. Do a little shopping take a soapie and enjoy life. If you like the beach, you maybe should think about a trip to Koh Samet or Koh Chang.

No not at all, I have never had any problems in Pattaya I have found the people to be very nice. I have seen one fight in bangkok between two Lady Boys which was funny and two in Pattaya one between twos Bgs and then other between two farangs but the staff in king seafood were great at sorting it out.

Hi there,
I'm a first time visitor to Pattaya (and Thailand for that matter) and would appreciate some 'localised' advice.
I was walking down Beach Road and spotted a real cutie at the 'Poppy Bar' (almost corner of Soi 7), she seemed to speak English well and at 1000baht LT and 300baht barfine seemed reasonable enough. So we head off, my first question is "so what do you like to do? ". Her reply was "shopping". Err, OK. We stop off at a bar on Soi 7, I ask the usual 'Thai questions'. Family, pets, football and get limited responses. She tells me that she is usually quiet until she has had a few drinks and Guiness is her favourite. So we head over to the Irish bar, whilst there she announces that she is hungary, so we sit down for a meal. A G&T and Guiness later, still no responses. She then tells me that her favourite team (Chelsea) are playing so we head off and watch the game. A couple more G&T's and head to a bar near by hotel; yet more G&T's and hoping this has sufficiently loosened her up. She seems unimpressed by my 800baht pn hotel. OK, shower and down to business, I suggest that she gives me a BJ. She doesn't do that she tells me. How about we try cowgirl? She prefers mish she says. So I bang her as long and hard as I can. We go to sleep and wake up at 9am, she says "I need to go", I say to her "What about morning boom-boom? ". She tells me that boom-boom in the morning costs another 1000baht. I let her shower and leave with 1000baht.
I'd appreciate any advice from Thailand veterans. Is this normal in Thailand? Or did she spot me as a rookie and take me for a ride? Any advice to prevent it happening again?
Can't remember her name, she said that she was 31 and from Northern Thailand. She had a large tattoo of a flower across her stomach.
Will upload a photo in the pictures section (although the photo doesn't do her justice)
I'd also appreciate some advice on the whole 'saving face' thing. I went LT with one girl from a bar. A couple of days later I stopped off for a midday drink at the bar next to the one that I picked up the LT girl (abeit seperated by an alley) and obviously chatted with some of the girls. I then spotted my LT girl stood down the alley, watching me. This probably went on for 10 mins or more until I had to take an urgent phone call and left the bar. I said "Hi" to the LT girl as I walked by, but she didn't respond.
In me drinking in that bar, in full sight of her and her colleagues. Did that result in her 'losing face' big time? Was I doing something completely wrong?
For anyone that's interested, I'm writing a newbie trip report on ignatzmice.
Thanks in advance.
