If you leave by 9, you'll be at the border around 11, give or take. You should be in the Zona before noon.
If you need to be back by 7pm, you'll need to be on the road by 4, if this is a weekday, maybe 5 on a weekend. Depends on what part of OC you live in. If you live in the far southern portion of OC you can probably leave an hour later, but for example we'll assume you live in the northern part.
Weekdays, figure 2 hours in line. It may be shorter, but you can't bank on it. Weekends may be longer, Sunday being the worst. So, you'll want to be in line by about 2 on weekdays, maybe 3 on a Saturday. Sundays, who knows?
Therefore, you'll have about 2 to 3 hours to have fun.
I do similar runs, and the amount of time "in-zona" just wasn't worth the effort, until I got a SENTRI card. That frees up an easy 2 hours per trip.
Hope this helps a bit.
Thanks that helps ALOT. I should definitly check out that SENTRI card.

Sentri card?
I don't know about a Sentri Card, I don't go enough. But the last few times I have gone there are two separate lines at least. One is incredibly long, seems to be for those who don't have a passport. A much shorter one for those, such as me, who were able to remember to bring their passport. That line seems to move pretty quickly. Can it really be that there are so many unable to remember their passport?

Hong Kong. July 28
2nd Chance, Granjefe, ClamSlammer and I went to the Hong Kong after our short stay at Adelitas. That club has to be the best club I have ever seen anywhere! I have never seen such a place with all the glass stair cases and girls slithering in shaving cream, lesbian sex shows in hot tubs, and $1 finger fucks! It was an awesome time! We got there and at first just looked in awe at all the women! There had to be at least 100 women there! I have never seen such a place with women that would let you touch them anywhere you wanted for only $1!
I sat there for a while just observing this. After a while after Granjefe and 2nd Chance had already had some girls over for ficha drinks I spotted a lady I liked. The bouncer noticed me staring at this lady and asked me if I wanted him to bring her over. I said sure. It was a black haired. 20 year old lady named Leslie that spoke good English. She asked me where I was from and I said Phoenix and she said she had been there as she has family there. We talked for a while after I got her this drink and then she asked me if I wanted a private dance. I had a coupon from Hong Kong's website for a half price private dance so I said sure and I used the coupon. She gave a good, full contact private dance allowing me to touch her anywhere I wanted. I mean anywhere! When she was done she left without saying much. I really was attracted to her but I decided against trying to hunt her down at that point to get her for full service, a decision I now regret. I wanted to see what else was working. I watched several other ladies and found lots of good looking ladies but none that were as good looking as her. I went around touching and finger fucking several ladies. I found Leslie again when she was dancing on the main stage and I tipped her a few dollars again. She got done dancing and left. I was hoping to find her walking around again so I could see about getting her for some full service. I waited around for like 2 hours and could not find her. She disappeared! I finally saw her 2 hours later walking up to the bar in street clothes and I walked up to her and said hi but she told me her shift was over and she was leaving. I was then kicking myself for not asking her while I had the chance.
After Leslie left I tried to find another lady that would catch my fancy. I finally found a lady that was named Rebeca. She told me that it was her first night there. She did not speak much English so I had to use the voice activated electronic translator to talk to her again. With the translater I arranged f. S. For 900 pesos after buying her 2 ficha drinks. I popped a Viagra and we went to my room and she fucked me like a pornstar doing 5 different positions and even doing Anal without me even having to ask. I kept going and going and she really enjoyed it. I had taken Viagara so I was ready to go for as long as she wanted. I think she enjoyed it just as much as me because I kept going and going even after I climaxxed because of the Viagara. She even gave me extra time because she did not want to stop. She was amazed at how long I could go, she said she had not had a guy that could go as long as me. It was her first night there so she probably has not experienced a Viagara user. LOL. After I was done with her I walked accross the street and ate at the grill place that I can not remember the name of. I used the Android Application "Word Lens" to read the spanish menu and ordered a meal that was not bad. The waiter there did speak English so I could order in English but I had to use Word Lens to visually translate the menu immediately so I could see what I was ordering. It was good food.
After I was done I was really tire so I went to my room and crashed. I had planned on getting back up to party some more but I fell asleep and did not get up until the next morning. Hong Kong was awesome and I am already looking forward to my next trip there.
Even if you go once a year. Having a Sentri is still worth it.
2nd that.
Made a trip to HK today around 7pm, the place had a nice selection of girls though a few that caught my attention was nowhere to be found on the 2nd run, there was a nice cutie who looks pretty new standing by the lower side of the ramp, there was a fucking hot spinner wearing a pink top and a blue dress dancing on the stage at the back of the room, she has long hair, sweet face, but appears to have a bit of an attitude, anyway, too many guys gunning for her.
Eventually, there was this "new" chick (claims 1 week) who kept smiling at me while dancing on the bar and I eventually went ahead to tip her and get her a drink, but on closer inspection, appears to be damaged goods though she has a very nice smile, I decided it was not worth it though she really tried very hard to get me to grab her boobs and keep brushing over my crotch, her name is angel and for fellow mongers, if her looks is your cup of tea, maybe you can give her a try, I will say however, that she finished her 2 fichas in about 15 mins, which to me is a little faster than I am used to,
Even if you go once a year. Having a Sentri is still worth it.
Really? You think so? I've only been to Tijuana a couple of times, and yes, I sure as Hell did NOT appreciate the hour long waits in that pointless line to return. And I DO have my passport. But I checked this out, and have decided, 'no gracias! '. $122 bucks, a required personal interview with a 'gubment' agent, AND oh yeah, they now have my fingerprints? Hey, as far as I know, NO ONE has my prints, and I like it that way. I'm a law abiding citizen, who prefers to fly under the radar, especially in these times if you know what I mean. I'll just keep my little hobby on the 'DL', thank you very much, and grin and bear it at the border on my once-a-year forays across La Frontera for a bit of panocha hunting.
Call me lazy, call me 'tight', call me a raging paranoid if you will, and to each his own, I suppose, but for the casual, occasional cross border mongering, I'm happy right where I am.
Even if you go once a year. Having a Sentri is still worth it.
I'm in SD once, maybe twice a year. I'll go to Tijuana 3 to 4 times each trip. Usually go at night, and come back around midnight. Never more than 5 to 10 people in line. No sentri needed.
Sometimes on my last day, I'll have a late flight, and am tempted to do a day trip, which would require me to cross back into the states during the daytime. Did it once, and the line was terrible. Really hott too. Standing in a long line, in the hot sun, needing to catch a plane, is not fun. Sentri would help in that situation.
When you cross the border with a centri card, do they swipe it like a passport? Swiping your passport gives them a record of you crossing the border. If they don't swipe the centri, they actually have less info on you and your traveling patterns. I sometimes wonder what they think when they see me crossing back in to the country 4 nights in a row about the same time.

Isn't it fun living in a benevolent police state?
It's still none of their fucking business what you do, or how often you do it, as long as it doesn't violate any Mexican laws. However, I'm sure that will change. Can't have too much security, you know.

Same thing is you are crossing back using a passport / passport card, they swipe it, and it is in the records.
I had a field trip once coming in from LAX and I got pulled to the back room (long story, don't ask) , at which point I learned about how much information they have about your travels. Both domestic and international.

This freaks me out totally. Seems always under radar.
Is there any way to prevent it? Doesn't look nice on my profile.

Not sure why. But the SENTRI card gets swiped 100% of the time.
I, too, was enlightened when I had my GOES interview. The pisser is these people couldn't catch a cold. They couldn't find their ass if they used both hands, but they're damned good at background checks on innocent citizens.
When I had to go to my SENTRI interview, the instructions specifically said to bring either pay stubs to prove you're working, or your latest tax return. So, I brought the Gutenberg Bible, aka my Federal Tax return for the previous year. The dick at the desk (maybe I should out him here, maybe not) insisted he needed proof I was employed. I had to explain that I was an employee of my own corporation. That wasn't good enough. I then had to pointedly remind him that the instructions specifically stated stubs OR tax returns, and that I had provided every bit of documentation called for in their very own instructions. Shit! He finally processed it, but fuck! How many unemployed drug dealing, illegal alien smuggling shitbags show up with a huge corporate tax return?

Personally I have no qualms about them logging the number of times I go to Tijuana, no shame admitting to the purpose of my trips. Which is, to make new friends and to meet old ones.
Never had a problem saying that

Jekyll & Hyde
so artisttyp and i are hanging out in one the hk booths and then we both noticed this chica sitting in a booth nearby, and she appeared to be three sheets to the wind. one of the meseros picked her up and brought her to this booth of dudes and the girl was all over the dude that she recently got introduced with. riding him hard, taking off her top, tongue down his throat, you know; real clean family fun! artisttyp looked and me and said,"we have to get her over here!" i felt exactly the same way.
well as soon as she got up and left the table, artisttyp jumped up like a fire alarm went off! even though it was a tad crowed, artisttyp plowed through meseros and customers like a nfl running back, snagged her, and brought her back for some booth follies; we were both happy campers. she saw me, smiled, straddled my lap and gave me a nice kiss to say hello. miss jekyll was hot!
as always, i tend to push the limits to see what i can get away with. i gave artisttyp the camera and he started shooting away. this was the point where i met the mean, drunk, and nasty miss hyde. she did not approve of our creative camera work and tried to get the camera from me in the worst way. she was downright pissed! then she gave me this look of,"i'm going to fuck you up gringo!"
fuck that you will, i called in the troops, eray, freddy, and speedy pulled her off of me, and as they did, she went down. they stood her up, but after two steps, she went down again, yelling back at me the entire time. that the point when artisttyp said,"i think we should leave now." i agreed that there was enough drama for one night, and we slid the hell out of there. oh how i love hk!

hehehe, so how long before she changed from jekyll to hyde?
i am heading down to join a hk chica outside the club for a party, fingers crossed for an exciting night!
