LC[/Sumac Huasi Hospedaje is located just 4-5 blocks from Plaza de Armas. Calle Calvo De Araujo #463. One month rate is S50 per day for a one bedroom, AC, WiFi, bath with hot water and daily maid service. It is next door to the Columbian Embassy. They do not have a website. I had a friend to make my reservation before I arrived. It is as nice as Hotel Maranon but at half the price.
Sorry but let me amend that post Sumac Huasi Hospedaje does have a website, just found it by googling it.
When in Iquitos don't forget to visit the Butterfly Farm and Animal Orphanage.

Will be heading to Iquitos in March. I have been their many times for work. I was wondering if there is anything new happening there of interest lately?
Arriving in Iquitos evening of Feb 13 2013 and leaving for trip up Amazon to do Aya on Feb 21st. Older.
Guy and horny but no experience in Mongering. Feb 14 through 20 devoted to girls and sites. Could use.
Advice on best place to stay during first week in the mid price range near where the women are located. I don't.
Speak spanish, not much practice in picking up women but a quick learner. Women in the 5-7 range is ok with enthusiasm. Basically any and all advice will be greatly appreciated. Would hiring a local guide to steer me right be a good idea the first day? The hotel would be clean, decent beds, girl friendly, and thievery not a problem.
Thanks in Advance

Hello,
I read the this thread but I am still confused on where to find some quick and easy fuck in Iquitos.
Are there bar / casas I can visit?
Otherwise what other option I got if I do NOT want to take the girl into my hotel?
Someone in this thread was talking about some cheap joint where a pop costs around 20 soles. Any info about that?
Thanks!

Cheap w****houses for the locals. Out near the airport, past the fire station. Believe me all motocar drivers will know it. IF it still exists. Should. There are, as I remember. 4 different locals. The best charge a sol or two to enter. I wrote about it here: http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/showthread.php?2807-Iquitos&p=541082&viewfull=1#post541082

Gentlemen, I hope this post will help you navigate the city of Iquitos, which in my opinion is an excellent city for the hobby. My great experiences in Iquitos was made possible from previous posts on the Peru and Iquitos forum (which I am very thankful for) , and I am simply summarizing / confirming that information. I have also peppered this post with my own experiences:
-TRANSIT-
A taxi or mototaxi (basically a rigged up motorcycle with a dual wheel anchored seat in the back, common in iquitos since it is difficult to import 4-wheel vehicles there) from the Airport to centro should cost no more than NS$10 (I paid NS$10). It is about a 35 minute ride. Taxi rides within the city / centro costs a mere NS$2, no more than NS$3. I never had any problems with taxis or mototaxis.
-HOTELS-
I stayed at the Hotel Maranon (Fitzcarrald / Nauta 289) and in my opinion this was a pretty good hotel considering the part of the world it is in. It has AC, hot water, a restaurant, a pretty good breakfast and a pool. The service was very good and it was GF. I recall it being about the equivalent of $40 USD per night, and worth it.
-STREET SCENE-
I read a report that upmarket pros frequent hotel lobbies and the downtown market at Plaza Armas, however, I did not see that in my case. Perhaps I was perusing the area on the wrong days. I do not normally do the street scene, but since this is the jungle, I decided to see what things were like, just to see. Anyways, the SW scene is not recommended but according to previous posts can be found around P. Armas starting around 10:30pm and along the river-walk promenade (malecon) between calles Napo and Nauta. According to previous and excellent posts, NS$100 seems to be the standard asking price, negotiable down to NS$50. It seemed that the scene at the Malecon (riverwalk) and the Plaza de Armas is irregular. A piece of advise from the forum members: Beware, always I'd the chica, even if it makes you uncomfortable asking.
-CLUBS-
I went to two clubs. First I went to Bandidos (two blocks north of Nauta, don't remember the name of the street, but walk up Fitzcarraldo and take a right two blocks from nauta and it is on the right, opens at 11). I arrived at 10pm, so they were not open yet. I found a mototaxista and asked him to show me a decent club with mujeres for FS. He was very friendly and helpful (it is a good bet to use the knowledge of the mototaxistas to find action here) and took me to a club in the middle of the city about 15 minutes away from the Malecon. The club opens at 9pm and was an OK place. The mujeres were actually pretty darm good-looking, however, amazingly, the 4 chicas that were there were of mostly of european decent (not what I came to iquitos for) , were friendly and attractive (2 were slightly overweight, but in a good way).
Anyways, I finished off the beer that was included in the very reasonable entrance fee and left. I returned to bandidos, which had just opened, and there I found a true jungle GFE. Had a beer, paid an exit fee that included 2 hours of FS with her to the club for NS$200 total, and left for the hotel. All I will say is wow! We exchanged numbers so that I could see her without having to go to the club and we meet thereafter on several occassions. Proof that the "YMMV" saying really does apply. After the first night, she insisted that I not pay her anything, that she simply wanted to be with me. She was so good that I had no interest in sampling any other woman during my stay, and left very happy.
Although, I feel obliged to temper the experience with a dose of reality: My excellent GFE encoutner here in Iquitos would not have been possible without a bit of luck on timing and the fact that I speak spanish. The women here, while relatively poor, are not desperate, and after witnessing how things work here, I simply cannot suggest that anyone will have a similar experience here unless they speak very, very good spanish. Nonetheless, with enough money, I suppose anything is possible. But GFE isn't normally accomplished with money alone. You simply must be able to speak spanish here. Or you may languish here (just my opinion of course).
-BARS-
There is a bar / restaurant called the Yellow Rose, owned by an American. If I remember correctly it is a block south of the Plaza de Armas, and only a block to the west of the Malecon. This place rocks, has character, the beer is subzero cold, the food is excellent (american comfort food that is) and the service from the various cute chica employees was outstanding (and most speak english!). I never went to any other bar after finding this gem. I met the owner, and he is a really interesting guy.
-RESTAURANTS-
I went to a number of restaurants, and one stands out above the rest. It is on the Malecon on the corner with Nauta. Pretty much anything on the menu is superb, homemade, and just all around excellent cooking. But patience is required.
-SIGHTSEEING-
I would recommend the Centro Artesanal Anaconda (Malecon why Napo). It is a Craft market on stilts above the Amazon river and has some pretty damn interesting things in it.
There are many interesting sites outside of iquitos in the jungle, but I will limit this to the city of Iquitos, as the forum suggests. Cheers
Thanks for the report on Iquitos,
I went there once last summer with a chica from there who I met in Lima. Stayed with her family al fundo, and saw a lot to like about the place. One question: I did stop in the Yellow Rose with her and the fam. For dinner and the bar caught my eye as a possible place to meet chicas for fun on a future visit. Was that not what was on offer in your experience? It looked like a perfect spot for Iquitos ladies to find foreign custies. Si o no?
Gracias,
PYY
When me and my buddies were there the restaurant / bar was just that.
There were no chicas hanging out there.
In this photo is the Yellow Rose; the one with the red, green and yellow awning on the right of the iron building built by Gustave Eiffel the guy that built the Eiffel tower.
