Don't come to Thailand if you think it's cheap. Yes it's cheap compared to cities like Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Zurich, etc. But not cheap compared to other nearby monger destinations like Jakarta, AC, PP, etc. Sure you can live in Thailand for 5000 baht per month rent and 100 baht per day eating street food but I'm pretty sure that is not the lifestyle most of you are currently living in your home country.
Breadman started coming to Thailand before I did and per his post below it does not appear the barfines and payment to girls has increased all that much. Even when I first arrived 3 years ago the price for ST was 2500-3000, LT 5000. The BF structure changed to a 2 tier system but the after midnight price is the same price as the all day price 3 years ago. On Soi 6 it remains 1000 baht but the BF has increased from 300 to 350/400. Not a lot of inflation in 3 years. Yes, lady drink prices have increased from around 140-150 average to some bars charging 220 baht per lady drink now. However, customer drinks are still relatively the same. Rent has actually decreased due to a slow market.
My original plan was to move to Germany but with the law changes and the demise of German, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Ukranian, etc. girls in the FKK clubs I decided to move to Thailand. Not that Romanians can't be beautiful but I find most of them to be mercenaries.
Agree that Pattaya gogo bars are generally more expensive than their BKK counterparts.
In the last three years, no; in the last decade, yes. When I moved to Thailand, in Dec '99, BFs in Pattaya were never more than 500 Baht at GoGos and 300 Baht at beerbars. Beerbar gals were 500ST and 1 k LT, Gogo gals were 1 k ST and 1. 5 K LT. Soi 6 300 BF and 700 Baht to the gal. Drinks were sub 100 Baht and LDs were never more than 120 Baht. And at that time Pattaya was cheaper than BKK for P4 P. Albeit Thermae gals were between 500 and! K and Nana Disco gals were 1 k. Street gals were 500 Baht. Truth be told these prices held for quite a long time. It was not until after the floods of '11 and the large influx of Asian punters that prices began their steep increase. Sadly, service levels for the most part have decreased along with the increase in prices. Pattaya is still ok. Good to see some dudes like Mr E who stick to their guns when it comes to prices. There is so much available in Pattaya; no need to pay mega-inflated prices.
Friend had a very interesting conversation with a Thai gal who goes overseas to work. She says the competition is getting very intense in places like the Middle East and Korea and it is no longer the fast easy money it used to be. Agents are charging more and more to arrange the trip and unless a gal is very good looking, she will not stay busy. That bodes well for us as some of these gals will have to return to Thailand and peddle their wares here again.

You have to factor in the exchange rate.
Pounds sterling 10 years ago was 60 b, 5 years ago 50 b, now around 40 b. Not sure about euros and dollars.
This has impacted on costs considerably.
Girls tend to lose their phones or customer's buy them new ones. Unfortunately, many girls aren't savvy enough to move their Line contacts to their new phones.
I guess I should have posted photos. Bee is the one with lighter colored hair. Mimi is the one with black hair.
Buddy of mine lives in Bangkok and yes, the girls lose their phones without knowing to back up their line account to an email address and their new line account won't show all of their contacts. But they always manage to find his because he pays them, supports them when its slow season. If your not one of their friends or one of their main supporters there's little reason for them to look for your line account. And we are also talking about two girls here, not just one. Unlikely both lost their phones. So maybe you actually got blocked. I remember reading some of your posts about taking girls out to dinner and not giving them money, was this the case with these two?

If that was true then it would also affect the price of durian, taxi rides, and rent. My rent has remained the exact same 4500 baht for the past 8 years. Why is that? The price of pussy has only gone up for people that like to get chicks from gogo bars. I am still giving freelancers 1000 baht LT, the same as I was the first day I set foot in Pattaya in 2007.
Excellent point BB! Every time I get the urge to seek employment in Thailand I ask myself how much fun I'd truly have living off of 10000 baht per month there (assuming I am only making minimum wage). I'd probably just lock down a short term girlfriend or something, and the gogos may lose some of their luster, but then what would be the point of living there? Ha! I've been speaking with RJ and we are focused on cutting back on the gogo / excessive lady drink buying this next go round. I still may look to retire there but that is 20+ years away. In the meantime, I guess the 2-3 trips per year with monthly Tijuana trips will have to suffice! .
I felt that same thing in visiting brothels throughout eastern Europe, especially in Spain. I love me a Spanish woman, but they prove quite difficult to find in the p4 p activities there. I've either encountered South American or Romanian ladies claiming to be of Spanish descent. The latter often being pushy and unpleasant to be around the moment anything sets them off (and it doesn't take much).

I think a different game plan definitely if living there. Agogos would be monthly outing at the rate we were spending, and free girls the order of the day and I wonder too if Thailand would lose it's appeal? The advice I have read on here is to have a 6 to 12 month lease and try before you commit to heavily. From what I read on here there is an abundance of 20 something year olds who will live with older guys so that may be motivation enough. I think our game plan for our next adventure will test our discipline but also the other avenues for sex other then Agogos as the main source.
In theory do you think Cat or Kaew would be permanent girls if I was a resident?
I will chat with you later dude.

Their offer was about 60 k baht, a two-bedroom apartment, free (limited) health care and occasional use of a car. The downside was that any hanky-panky, especially involvement with prostitutes, would find you terminated immediately.
