Bbq ribs,
You making me question my whole mongering mentality. Its always been bars, clubs, massages with an infrequent beach walk for that special one. Hell, Santo Domingo has a zoo?
That was the only post I ever printed to have for future reference.
Thanks, but as you probably know Santo Domingo is not for everyone. I believe just a very small percentage of guys on this board prefer SD. I started out in Sosua doing the how many chicas a day can I bang thing. After 5 or 6 trips that stuff started to get boring, same old thing everyday. I knew there had to be more to rep dom than just Sosua so I tried SD.
The most important thing with me is to maintain at least one or two solid chicas to contact. Once you have that everything else just falls in place. Most guys are looking for the GFE in bed but in SD you can extend that to enjoying the town.
To spice up the evening check into one of the numerous cabanas with the gigantic whirpool tub. Just remember to bring at least two chicas. Weekend nights Jaragua Hotel/Casino has local live entertainmet free but the drinks are pricey. Last night I stopped in Copa Disco for the first time. This place is for high rollers. LOL
With all the trips I have made to SD there are still plenty of things on my to do list. Every trip I say I will go to Tres Ojos, the underground caves, and have never made it. There is also a restaurant Mesa de la Cava? I want to go to, never have. I recently discovered Avenida Tirantes just above 27 de febreo where you will find some really nice places to chill. Just about anything you would want to do will be a $5 taxi ride or less.
Most, if not all guys will start out touring Zona Colonial. After numerous trips you end up like me, going to IKEA for lunch. LOL
What is the best bus to take to Santiago. The last time I went I took the bus from the blue bus station. Was that Caribe Tours or Metreo? They had nice new white buses. Do you know which bus company it was?
Thanks
Metro are white buses, supposedly a little nicer and fares are a little more money than caribe tours. Metro has a bus station on I believe Avenida Churchill not too far from the Acropolis center.

BBQ these are some of the best SD reports I've read.
How much of a budget would you recommend for someone ? Do you think $120/150 a day would cover all costs minus daily hotel expenses ?
Ass ($30/50 for el conde sw's or up to $70+drinks for the casas)
Food- mid range sit down place
Drinks
Transport- I would imagine at least 2 RT cab rides a day.
Snacks
It seems like if you go this route with pro action you might as well choose brazil or something similar. Minus of course the cheap ticket to SD or you better have done your non pro internet homework prior to coming like in lima peru.
However it seems like non pro action in SD could be equal to or more expensive than pro action...true or false?
The beauty of dating non pros somewhere like lima is you can take them out on the town for nothing. It doesn't seem like SD is that kind of place.

I have read where some guys get the SW'S for 500 pesos. I have been quoted 1000 (27 US Dollars) on the street. GBP had a happy hour (two chicas), 2000 pesos (55 dollars).
Non-pro action, depends upon how much you or the chica eats and drinks. Large Bottle of Presidente beer 75 pesos (2 dollars) in a non-fancy bar. In coppa disco a small bottle of presidente beer is 150 pesos (about 4 dollars). If you want a table reserved for you, you have to buy a bottle of vodka or scotch, cost is around 150 dollars. If you are with a group of 4 people, buying a bottle works out to about 40 dollars per person.
If you get a hotel with a kitchen or kitchenette, you can buy food in the Supermarkets and eat in. Spaghetti is cheap and easy and filling. With some non-pro chicas you can ask them to prepare the food.
If you like nightlife and want to be in the fancy places you can drop some coin in Santo Domingo. On the other hand there are ways to live cheaply in Santo Domingo. Some non-pro chicas will be happy if you give them 1000-1500 pesos.
Different casas charge different prices. GBP prices are good and I have read about a place on ave kennedy that has good prices.
Taxis 150 to 200 pesos.

I am too cheap to deal with most of the casas. I learned the hard way. I paid 2500 pesos for a casa chica and the next night she was a SW on Independencia with a price tag of 1000 pesos. GBP is probably your best bet for casa chicas. Lately guys are reporting they have a two chica on site special for 1500 pesos. Even if the special has ended they are still a great bargain. As always getting the chicas cell number and connecting during her off hours is the best route.
In SD most times you never know where you will find your next chica. Honestly, it can happen anywhere.

I have just learned enough Spanish for people to understand what I am saying. As of now I can't understand spoken Spanish. My communication with the chicas consists of my espanol especial and her writing down what she wants to say. Surprisingly it works. So with that in mind I feel I do pretty good in SD. These chicas have nothing to do during the day so they are more than tickled to go anywhere and most of them have been nowhere.
I had the pleasure to meet Jaosousa and Boricuaonline in SD. Both of these guys speak fluent Spanish. I have seen the chicas they pull, mostly non-pros and these guys make me look like no more than a beginner. If your Spanish is up to par it is possible to take the chicas out on the town free. I have seen it with my own two eyes. LOL
At the moment I can't remember his handle but I met another board member in SD who had a local he used as a guide. This worked great for him as the guide did the translations and found him non-pros. I met him at a colmado on Independencia and suggested he take his chica on a "date" to the baseball game the next night. He emailed me and said it was one of his best nights he had ever spent in SD.

That obelisk (with a large pair of children's shoes, niņos calzados, hanging from it) sits in the middle of the malecon (with the plaza off to the side jutting into the sea).
When I want to go east on the malecon in the direction of zona colonial and the airport, I enter the malecon where that obelisk is situated. From Avenida Independencia, I make a right turn on a street about three blocks east of avenida pasteur. When entering the malecon where that obelisk is situated, the traffic slows for the stones embedded in the street and you have more room to merge onto the malecon (going east) after crossing in front of two lanes of westbound traffic.
One night Fernando Villalona performed at the plaza there, I could see and hear it from the apartment where I was staying.
For those in Santo Domingo on March 12 there is a free live show in the new Plaza Juan Baron near the monument (Rotondo Oblisko) on the malecon. They were testing out the sound system around midnight on Thursday. Once on the malecon the plaza will be easy to find since you can hear the music five blocks away.
This pic is over a year old and now most of the buildings are occupied. There is a pizza place, Rico hot dogs, a Mexican spot, ice cream, booze, and a few other vendors.
Chicas are still plentiful in SD you just need to get out and walk about. I did a nice long walk tonight and chicas were in Jaragua Casino, Avenida Independencia, malecon, Pacos restaurant. I doubt if I was able to walk two blocks without seeing chicas.
I took my chica of the day to Chef Pepper restaurant. I usually get take out from here but this evening we ate at the restaurant. Come early to avoid waiting sometimes up to an hour to get a table.
Last night I stopped in Copa Disco for the first time. This place is for high rollers. LOL
The first time I met Mr GoGo in Santo Domingo, I wound up going to coppa disco later in the night. Some chica who I met online, maybe I saw one photo of her before meeting her, I was not sure what she looked like. I had her phone number and called her and asked her to meet me at Bar Atarazana in zona colonial, it was a Thursday night, open bar and the place was packed.
As is the case with most chicas on a first date they always bring along a friend or cousin (every time the friend or cousin they bring is always less attractive than the chica I am meeting). That night I was in Atarazana Bar with Mr GoGo and the chica from online shows up with her 50 year old aunt, who was not attractive. At that point Mr Gogo and I parted ways, I can't blame him, the Aunt was not attractive.
I eventually took the chica and the Aunt to Coppa disco (it is really like a medium sized bar, there is no dance floor). I got a spot near the bar and the chica stood in front of me for two hours, no real conversation as the music is loud. I had the 50 year old aunt to my left and the Aunt made friends with other people at Coppa.
The online chica grinded my dick with her ass for two hours. It was like her ass cheeks were a pair of hands the way she worked the johnson. Her back was to me the entire time and I was able to check out the eye candy in Coppa. The online chica was short, with good size boobs, not ugly, not gorgeous either. The way she grinded me, I could have a busted a nut in coppa.
I drove her home and got stopped by two polica nacional on a motorcycle, they were looking for money and I was pissed, ruined the mood for me so that was the end of the night, no sex. I never saw that chica again.

Interesting responses. I need to break down and go there one day just for the hell of it.
Would you say going during rainy season is a total wash out ? I know in sosua it's waste of time. No girls come out and you wind up staying in your hotel room or a bar.
I'm curious to know how helpful has the metro been ? Does it get the job done or do you still need to move around with cabs and guaguas?
Being a native new yorker I like the freedom to move without cabs.
* By the way that SW you paid more for in the casa is the classic "uptown/downtown" scenario. I laugh when guys tell me they wouldn't touch the budget hoes I bang at low end SA chongos. What they don't know is unless they shell out the big $ they are banging the same girls! The difference between a $70 hooker and a $30 hooker might only be the difference of well...40 *blocks.
A mother doesn't discriminate about where the milk money comes from as long as it cums.
I had the pleasure to meet Jaosousa and Boricuaonline in SD.
The first time I met you, I stopped off at the Hotel Jaguar around 9pm, you didn't know I would be visiting. You had just arrived that day into Santo Domingo, you had a bit of buzz, haha (Wild Turkey bourbon?). You had a nice room at the Jaguar. The chica in the lobby called you to say I was there. I had my serious GF waiting out in the car, you came outside and she gave you a hug. The next time you came over to the apartment on the malecon and met the chica who works in the casino, small chica, no kids, big pussy lips. You gave me a gift to give her, a baby-doll outfit, thanks again. I have seen your chicas, you do well in Rep Dom.
Any guy can have fun the Dom Rep, either on the north coast or south coast.

The aunt wasnt that bad for 50yo.I dont understand what is wrong for a girl to meet a guy for the first time alone,in a public place for a cocktail and conversation? But i didnt want to be a ball and chain and cockblock you.I figured id let you work your magic, sorry it didnt turn out well.
Alot of girls want to appear respectable by bringing relatives, but i hate to be graded by outsiders. The family seems to judge you by how much money you spend. If you spend money your the greatest, then when you say "no" your the worst
I dont understand the piling on.If my sister married a doctor i would be glad for her and never be a burden to them.Ive had girls say their relatives dont like me because i wont send money.
It goes back to my male dominican domination assumption. Why cant the chica say i'm going to take care of my kids and mother and break from a freeloading Dominicano?Because the culture is centered around the Dominicano.I asked a Dominicana that has been born and raised in NewYork why she never visits the DR.Believe it or not but she said"be it a visit or phone call it all developes into giving money" she also said"if you dont help out then they say she's not Dominican anymore"WTF.

Just about always they come with a cousin, friend or other relative on the first date. If all goes well on the first date, the chica comes alone on the second date.
I had fun that night, After I was stopped by the police, I was not happy and I cursed out the Dominican Republic in front of the chica, which didn't sit too well with the chica. Now I try to be calm and not let stuff like that make me say stuff I shouldn't say, I lost out in the end, because if I would have kept my mouth shut and not sounded off, I probably would have gotten more from the chica.

In that courtyard you can smoke and hang out and have space and check out the chicas as they visit the restroom. It was crazy packed that night, 20 minutes to get a drink at the bar, with people pushing and trying to cut in front of me. Other nights it is more calm.

Being a native new yorker I like the freedom to move without cabs.
I have traveled during Hurricane season, only one trip many years to Sosua, did it rain everyday for 4-5 days. In Santo Domingo it sucks when there is a heavy rain, some streets get flooded, but I can never remember having 2 or 3 days of rain in Santo Domingo. Usually the sun will be out the next day after a heavy rain. There are always chicas out in Santo Domingo, except maybe during the main holidays.
The Metro has a very limited run. I believe it runs under Avenida Maximo Gomez. There is a metro stop near the Cemetery on Maximo Gomez. I have yet to ride the Metro.
Being from New York City, Santo Domingo is a little similar, however the train transit system in NYC has about 600 miles of tracks. The Metro in Santo Domingo I don't know the exact length, but I would be surprised if it was more than 20 miles. Like NYC with the different boroughs (Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Staten Island), many people live outside the central part of Santo Domingo in areas like Zona Oriental, Herrera, Los Alcarizos. To get to those areas you have to take a taxi or gua gua or carro publico (unlike in NYC where you can hop on a train and go just about anywhere in the 5 boroughs, except Staten Island).
In NYC, certain areas in Manhattan are more expensive and in the outer boroughs prices are usually cheaper.
The main monger scene in Santo Domingo is an area called Gascue, near the bigger hotels on the Malecon. There are places outside of Gascue where the prices are better, but you will need to take a taxi, unless you want to walk for a while in the heat.
Bbq ribs,

That was the only post I ever printed to have for future reference.
There is a zoo, an aquarium, an aquatic park (Aqua Splash), Los Tres Ojos. Zoo park is located north of Cristo Rey and east of Arroyo Hondo, bordered by a river on its northern part. The Aquarium is on Ave Espana and is seafront. I visited the Aquarium and was not impressed, but the girls are going to like it. The thing I liked about the place is that is seafront so is a good place to sit in the gardens and relax with a chica.
I also visited Los Tres Ojos, located on Parque Mirador del Este eastern extreme, which is a small forest inside the city, with 4 small natural lakes and a small boat ride included in one of the lakes. You are going down and later up a few hundred steps. I liked this place. When I saw the movie Avatar I thought about Tres Ojos. Dominican Tarzan has been there for decades, he jumps like 40 ft height from the rocks into the water for a tip.
Aqua Splash water park is almost in front of the Aquarium.
Colombus Lighthouse has a museum and a nice view of the city.
You can also jump from a plane and fall seated to the tip of Obelisk monument...no, that last one is not true.
Places mentioned here are cheap, less than $5, some places charge more to foreigners , a dollar or two more but I tell the ticket seller that I live in Gazcue and she charged me as a local.
You can also visit Parque Mirador Sur in the southwest part of the city, sorrounded by exclusive condos and houses. It is a few kilometers long, it has jogging and bike lanes , a few recreational areas, a lake and botanical gardens.
