Where do you get the best Steaks in TJ?
For many years I enjoyed the steaks at El Taurino. The cabreria was a HUGE marinated steak that was just superb. I haven't been there in quite some time, so I have no idea if it's still open. But if it is, El Taurino is on Calle Sies (6th St.) just east of Avenida Ninos Heros, on the south side of the street. If you walk back and forth I recommend using Avenida Constitucion to go north and south. And look sharp when you get near First Street. Or you could take a taxi. It's not that far and the fare should be reasonable.
Where do you get the best Steaks in TJ?
Preferably walking distance or a quick cab ride from the Zona.
The best steaks in TJ are at the "Fondo Argentina". It is a cab ride from the zona, on Blvde Agua Caliente, where the street splits into a east bound and west bound lanes. It is near and east of the race track. If you see the Marriot Hotel you are close. An "arrachera" that will fill 2 people will cost around $25.
Take a red and white taxi. I have been eating there for 5 years. Great sides and wine list.
I know it's a personal question, but has anyone contracted anything from mongering in Tijuana? I 've read that it's fairly unsafe in Tijuana, and after getting really sick with high fever last year after one of my Tijuana trips, I am paranoid ask girls to show me their Health cards, but you never know. I am a chicken to go get checked. How do you guys deal with the threat of an STD, especially a deadly one like HIV? Do you get checked ever so often? Any kind advice and information would be greatly appreciated.
It was 60 bucks 6 or 7 years ago when I used to go. That hasnt changed. Is AB still 200 degrees inside with no ac in sight. How did HG bar become number 1. Wasnt that place a dump back then. I remember chicago club had the best looking girls but not as many. Ab had the most girls but impossible to breathe and walk around. How did ab drop the ball and let hg take over. Is peanuts and beer still open. That was my fav strip club. How is rosarito doing. Are the weekends still packed and have the hotel prices there dropped since 7 years ago.
Thanks
Apparently you haven't read the forum for the last few years on what has changed. RTFF.
But I'm feeling helpful right now so I'll quickly fill you in.
AB has air conditioning now and wide screen tv's on every wall. So if you haven't been, in over seven years, then you will notice its changes. I also heard it was remodeled a few years ago. This was before I ever visited Ab so I don't know exactly what has changed. My last trip about a month ago and month before that, there was continuous work being done to the front of AB. Looks like they are adding some kind of new fancy awning with lights. Something similar to a casino.
I don't know if HK is number 1 now but it wouldn't surprise me. They've done "A LOT" of remodeling. If you haven't been there in seven years then you will be surprised how much it has changed. They added a second and third floor. Private rooms, expanded it completely to the other end of the street so it has it's original entrance plus one on Coahuila St. Plus they've updated their website. You can see pics of the club and even the girls.

Chicago Club, this is all stuff I've heard so I could be wrong, but the club was sold and the new owner went through different management causing it's decline and now it's barely standing. Everytime I go in there, I quickly do a 180 and walk out. It's only gotten worse over the years. first time I went in about three years ago it was like going into AB on a weekday afternoon. Few girls and few customers. But now I can walk in on a weekend and they'll be like only 3 girls and one guy. Pretty dreadful. I swear I hear crickets in there.
Ab hasn't dropped the ball and let HK take over. Chicago Club is the bar that really dropped the ball. AB hasn't dropped the ball, actually they haven't done anything. They got their business to work and stuck with it. But that's also their problem. HK had plans of grandeur and went with it. Ab has just remained idle. Personally Ab still has the hottest women while HK has only a few 10's.
I don't know about Peanuts and beer. Is that on Revo? If so, I saw it closed during the day. Perhaps they only open during the night.
Tourism in general has declined severely compared to 7 years ago. And even more recently with the economy taking a down turn, the drug wars and the current illness being spread around. So it's not as crowded as it once was. Things are bleak for Mexico as of late. And just when you think things couldn't get worse, they do.

I've read of a few people on this forum getting a few things. Nothing as severe as HIV. As least not that I know of.
When you ask for their health cards, are they reluctant to show them to you? I've never asked to see one, but the topic did come up once. It seems they keep them in the back instead of carrying them around with them.
Best way to fight an STD is to treat it early on. Even HIV can be cured if spotted early. I don't blame you for being scared to get checked. I feel the same way. I really should get checked even though I feel confident enough that my safe sex practices should be enough to keep me in the clear. Like the saying goes, "you can never be too safe."

Better to check then be worried sick about it.
If you do catch something ..it is a hell of lot better to get treated early on.
The TJ thread is dead now. How much has the bad press/flu and economy hurt business from 5 years ago. Whats the scoop on TJ nowadays.
http://sco.ca.gov/Press-Releases/2009/05-09summary.pdf
CA tax receipts are down 50 percent from last year. I would say that the majority of this constitutes discretionary spending such as mongering.
Like most nations that are dependent on US consumption, MX is getting killed right now.
Give it three more months and TJ salidas(costs) could be down to 1990 levels or better. Like many Americans, most of these chicas are entirely clueless about the current and future economic environment.
Right up to the point that they can no longer pay their rent.

Need it be said that safe sex practices can minimize your risk of catching any unwanted diseases. Even then, it does not protect you from Herpes Simplex 2. If you ask for anything bareback, then you risk catching the garden variety Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Syphilis, Trichomonas, in addition to the HSV and HIV. I have read and heard that these girls do have to have regular health check and blood testing in order to get a health card to be able to legally work. I haven't caught anything and I don't plan on doing anything to increase my risk of getting anything. As a physician, I can tell you that I have never heard of a cure for HIV. I hope whoever said that misspoke. With the right combination of anti-retorvial medications, it keeps in check and keeps you from converting to AIDS. There is a difference. As you already know, there is also no cure for Herpes Simplex 2 either. Be careful of the information that is dispensed on the internet regarding your health. As a fellow Libra, I hope you enjoy yourself in Tijuana and stay safe.

"When you ask for their health cards, are they reluctant to show them to you? I've never asked to see one, but the topic did come up once. It seems they keep them in the back instead of carrying them around with them"
You are correct. In my experience most of the street girls are reluctant to show their cards even if they are in good standing with the Tijuana Health Department and do keep them in the back, probably due to privacy since it lists their true names etc. However, generally I've been able to persuade the SGs to show those cards, even a couple of time a girl went back to her room to fetch it for me. Usually, I am adamant that not seeing a health card is a deal breaker, and no one wants to lose a client.

I'm not saying there's a cure for HIV(not aids as that is a way advanced stage of HIV) but it is entirely possible to get rid of the HIV virus by medication. I've even seen cases where a persons own immune system fought off HIV and is now completely healthy. Sadly, it is a very slim chance to remove HIV by medication or a good immune system.
But like I've mentioned, early treatment is the best bet.
I was there Friday from about 4pm. Midnight.
It felt like a regular Thursday night. It was actually pretty good. The ladies were quoting a little lower than normal. While crossing, the Mexican Marines didn't care to put on their medical face-mask. In the zone, no one was wearing face-masks. And on the way back, our border cops did not wear face-masks.
There have been no reported cases in Tijuana or Baja. It seems that the Mexicans are treating this one as a Mexico-city problem. There are news that in Baja, Mexico-city vacationers were getting their cars stoned. How's that for local ism.
AB had the hottest ladies. But the MILFs have mostly disappeared. I got quotes of $50. 60. One quoted me $30, then $20 and cum in her mouth to which I declined for health reasons. There are several new ones that I've not seen since the last time I was here (3 weeks ago).
HK is HK. Same crew for the last 3 months. I was quoted $50. One was surprised that I declined her offer of $40. Hey, I was tired and wanted to watch the damn basketball game! Women, can't they see that we're trying to concentrate?
I suspect the price is also based on how attracted you personally are. While I'd like to pimp my looks, unfortunately I'm actually referring to a general neatness and cleanliness. If you look like a decent person, you pose a less threat to them. If you are relatively in decent shape, you will sweat less and fart less. And if you don't stick a dollar up their ass and pussy, you show a respect (at least for their hygiene).
I think the last point really hits a soft spot with the dancers. Because I notice that I get an enormous amount of attention from them thereafter. Some even give me pecks on the cheeks when I leave.
Ain't that sweet?

There is no cure for hiv/aids. The meds only suppress the virus but it will always be there. Black people in america make up half of the new hiv cases in america. My guess is they think, like you, that because magic johnson is still alive, that this virus is cured, or you just take some meds and all is well. Not true. Remember MJ has plenty money and works out 2 hours a day. He is not the poster child for everyone that gets hiv. It seems that there are alot of people that look up to MJ and think there is nothing to worry about and are now careless.

After reading E's post I realized you said you have not been there in 7 years. There have been lots of improvements since then. The alley is a lot cleaner. They actually have a sidewalk now! The girls dress better now,too (sluttier). 7 years ago I still remember picking up girls in the alley who did not know what thongs were. Now they all have on short skirts and thongs.
As we have all said prices are steady in TJ, unlike Rio as you know.
It is still hard to get GFE in TJ, but the price cannot be beat.
Come on down man while airfare is cheap and hotel rooms in SD are cheap. Also, with the swine flu scare the border wait can be minimal.
I am going down again tomorrow.

Well, I’m not a scientist on the leading edge of retroviral research, so I’m going to stick to the party line; which is: HIV is a virus; there is no cure at any stage. Being asymptomatic does not mean you are free of the virus. It is still there, it can progress and it can be spread.
I hope that if there were individuals who have contracted and subsequently eliminated the virus, that there would be some measure of news and research done on them. I couldn’t find anything on the web that referred to a situation where someone who contracted the virus was free from it. If you have some info to check this out I’m all ears.
Till then, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
