Bobbys marina is closest to the action and had good security as do all the bigger marinas. Simpson Bay marina is also good but a 15 minute ride to the action.

Thank you Mel. I am working on renting a power boat the last week of October. I hope the weather does not screw up the plans.

Will be in Aruba Sept 10-17. Planning on having a few beers in San Nicolas. Anyone in Aruba let me know. Chica updates much appreciated!

Curious if anyone else is going to Curacao at this time.
Maybe we can compare notes.
I speak decent Spanish, not fluent.
booked into capt'n olivers on 10-16 thru 10-21. Anyone else going to be around? I am a spanish speaking long time monger looking to do some other activities alongside the mongering. I will be renting a car.

Cool. I get in Thursday barring a cancellation of the flight due to weather. I will pm you when I get to my hotel and see about an afternoon or early evening meetup.
For those visting- traveling to West Indies. Or living in this fine part of the world. Kindly note that Tropical Storm Omar (to become Hurricane Omar tommorrow) will be visiting the Eastern Caribbean over next few days.
See NOAA or Wunderground websites for weather updates. It appears that St. Maarten will receive a part of this storm. Omar is looking troublesome, probably be a category 2 storm
I live a few islands away from St. Maarten. But would much rather be hunkering down at the Seaman's Club for the next 3-4 days. No doubt the electricity will be off. But a some candlelight. Surely could work
For those of you already in St Maarten. I would suggest you review your plane tix and spend a few extra days. Doubtful if you will be able to get out tommorrow. Enjoy. And stock up on candles!
Strato
due to obvious reasons, i will be arriving saturday instead of today.
Guys,
Wasn't sure where to post this question.
Where is the best place for diving and mongering when considering all things:(the quality of the diving and the women, the cost, etc.).
I am planning a trip for January or February (my first such trip) and want to get the best bang (pun intended) for my buck.
St. Maarten, Curacaos, Aruba? Or another?
Thanks

I'd probably do Curacao. It has awesome diving and Campo is paradise.
