Hi Gran Pollo,
I am in Mga at last, staying at Hostal Real very close to a restaurant with a girafe outside.
After reading your posts I will be at Claudia's and Morena tonight.
Still no about showing me around a bit? I am a high ranking official, well behaved person and think never disappointed anyone as far as politeness is concerned.
Gracias,
Tavares
Since I am not there it would be rather tough, I must say. If I were, I still would not. I am sure you are a high ranking official. Though if you are that high ranking someone from the Nica government would be looking after you no?
I hope you have fun at either or both though they are not really late night places, I guess Morena goes on a bit longer than most.
Talk to Gina at Morena, tell her I am continuing to recommend the place to ISG and that I am telling members the price is C$400 which it is, and I'd appreciate it, as would members if they could stop the overcharging visitors.
Are you actually paying US$75 a night + IVA for a non-girl friendly hotel? The Casa Real is no more, in the same area and is open to anything. In fact a single is $65 and if you have an all nighter they charge the $75 that one night. It is one block south of the road the Hispamer bookstore is on. Which is just at the corner of the street where the non-girl friendly El Almendro is located.

Mga
I was not boasting about being an official Grand Pollo: just trying to talk you into meeting me. My visit to MGA was private. I was maybe making too much of it. In fact I was quite disppointed with MGA after coming from Rio...I am not comparing Mga to Rio of course, but after reading your reports I was expecting better.
Both Claudia's are shitholes. I would never be with any of the women present there, short, fat, celulitis galore, simply disgusting. At Morena a black woman with rasta hair, apparently the owner according to the taxi driver, didn't even bother to say good evening when we got in. When she saw us she immediately yelled at me: que quiere tomar? Women present, again disgusting.
At Fenix among 20 or so women I saw an acceptable one called Fabiola with nice big tits and long legs. I asked her mobile number but she wouldn't give it to me with the excuse that she didn't like dating people out of her working place. She quoted c$200 for half an hour and I offered her 500 if she would meet me outside that dump the day after. No again, so I gave up because I don't think I would get a hard on in such a dirty place.
The taxi driver took me to another place around the corner of Ticabus terminal but it was the same shit.
On the winning side, nicaraguans are nice and friendly, the country is beautiful, the lakes, the volcanoes, Granada and you can spot some gems in Metrocentro that look approachable but it seems to me you need time.
Avoid crossing the border to CR by bus: a nightmare!
IMHO, demanding mongers should forget about Managua. Fly instead to Rio.

Don't Trust Gran Pollo
IMHO, demanding mongers should forget about Managua. Fly instead to Rio.
At least another person agrees with me. Nicaragua, sucks, sorry for the Big Chicken.

I wonder about the 90 minute cheap flight to MGA vs. the 10 hour flight to Rio as a demotivating factor.
I have no idea what your high ranking official thing was supposed to stimulate other than to make you sound self-important. For all I know you are the 14th underdeputy to the deputy of the assistant subdirector of the sanitation authority so it means nothing. And your rank is unimportant to me as I don't meet up with anyone other than the two friends I have in the US and one in Panama, that come occasionally. It isn't you in other words.
I have been with and know at least 20-30 cute, fit available girls in MGA and who have fun in bed and don't have a lot of rules. Maybe I arrive when there are a bunch , I can't say, but I have never been shut out, never had a problem and never go to Fenix. The only time I have not obtained a number is from girls so new (and broke) that they don't have a phone. And a couple of times I have arranged to meet them anyway at a landmark, e.g. the main pharmacy on Ave 27 down from Claudia I. Same with Vale Todo strippers, easy marks.
Over Xmas Claudia I had three cuties, went with all 3 including one no kids, a week if that on the job, a little shy and no phone. Claudia II is hit or miss but there were two I have known a long time one 5 months pregnant and horny as a three peckered goat, she was fun too, a couple times.
I guess you landed in some vortex of no action, I can't explain it but flying to Rio is a pretty extreme alternative.
I also find that girls will even refer friends, non-pros to meet you either separately or with them, the first time you get two friends together who may not have seen each uther nude before is fun. It is all how they like you or think of you and I guess I make a good impression with the owners, the guy at Claudia gives me the scoop on who is best , Amanda at Claudia II ditto. The whole Claudia II bar put a bunch of pesos in the jukebox and played every happy birthday song they had for me last year. There are more than you can imagine.
Even two girls in a casa who are not experienced are fun the first time. At times at one place it is C$150 Sundays and Thursdays and I take 2 for C$300 which is like $16. How bad can they be for $8 each?
I think I know the Fabiola you mean. She was at Lorenas before. I have her number or my driver does or we both do. A tip, well I guess not for you now but generally - trying to get a cell # in front of management is not going to work, even in front of the other girls won't. You have to pay for her for her time in the room alone and then it is pretty easy. They know at that point you ar good for the 1/2 she keeps and then on her own even if you paid the same as the casa rate, she gets 100% more. The owners freak if they think what is going on is going on, and when it is going on, well it's obvious.
I agree and I think I said taking the bus to CR is for the empty of pocket and full of time to waste vs. a TACA or COPA flight for $100.

Grand Pollo
You have always sounded so weary about meeting people from this forum that, by telling you about my status I did not want to sound self-important but to convey the message to you that there was nothing to fear. I was never going to put you in an awkward position or to make scandals, A.S.O.
By the way don't try to figure out as you did, in a rather unpleasant way I must say, what position I hold, because you will certainly be wrong. So, be a little bit more modest and try to tone down the self sufficiency that sometimes oozes from your posts.
About Fabiola there was no one at hearing distance. Maybe you are right: to get her mobile number, I should have had sex with her in that shithole first. But I simply couldn't. It was filthy. Anyway she was nothing much to look at: she was simply not as bad as the others.
About distances I'd rather fly round the world to get first class pussy than to be offered those ugly women I saw in those dumps in Managua, around the corner. Simply a question of good taste. And numbers. You have a much better chance to end up with a first rate girl if you have hundreds or thousands to choose from. Anyway for an european Rio is not farther away than Nicaragua. On the contrary: you can fly direct to Rio from many european capitals. To MGA you won't be able to do so not even from Madrid

Managua/Nicaragua
After years of reading reports from all of the forums, I thought I would go ahead and chime in on Managua. I have spent quite a bit of time there over the course of the last two years, probably 10 weeks total. I would have to second Grand Pollo's like of Nicaragua.
But, I will tell you what my opinion is and what my experiences have merited. First off, Managua is somewhat of a populous city, but it is also like a small town in that invariably someone will know someone else, be it whatever social or socioeconomic group that they are in. Thus, women tend to want to protect their reputations and image. The previous leads to the quality of the working girls in the casas's being low, at least that is my opinion.
I have picked up and seen others pick up waitreses, dealers and patrons of the casinos, which were far above the quality of the girls in the casas, in my opinion. Most of the waitreses in the casinos will "date" you outside of work, but you have to be discreet about it and it helps to know spanish. The same for the dealers. The average casino dealer in Managua does not make more than $250 a month, go figure what that will lead to after seeing all the money that comes across their tables. Those girls will not usually charge more than $30 to $50 USD, plus taxi fare and maybe a meal.
I have also picked up waitreses and housekeeping girls out of the hotels I have stayed at, Crown Plaza, Holiday Inn Select, Camino Real by the airport and the Seminole.
If you go to the beaches or resort areas you can also pick up women very, very easily. Being able to speak Spanish and look comfortable in what you are doing helps greatly.
I don't doubt that Brazil or Columbia has better looking women per capita, but I think that Nicaragua is by far the best value and atmosphere (by far the safest) of any of the Central American countries, including Mexico. I base that opinion on spending about 75% of my life either working, working and living or living in Mexico and during the last 3 years doing an extensive amount of work and traveling in Central America.
Nicaragua is a very decent place, albeit with some serious problems politically and in terms of infrastructure, but it should improve. The women there are incredibly nice and overall the people are too. Anyone with any good self deportment and a little money should be able to have a blast in Nicaragua. That being said, I would avoid the casas's and look for other avenues of action. Be decent and be nice and Nicaragua is a gold mine of opportunity.

Nicaragua in April
Thanks for all the great information in this forum.
Does anyone know if chica availability is affected by Semana Santa? I read that many people from Managua head to the beaches for Easter.
I'll be down in April if anyone wants a mongering wingman.

Cash Question
Anyone know if the ATM's are reliable in Managua? I hate carrying large amounts of cash and I'm reading that traveler's checks are hard to cash.
(yes, I read all the forums back one year and it wasn't clear). Thanks for your help.
-
ATMs
MGuy,
I used them one week ago in Metrocentro in MGA and no problem so far.
-
ATM's
Mountain Guy,
My experience with ATM's has been good, much better than say Mexico or some of the other CA countries. You can always go to a casino and they will do it for you and you get the best exchange rate there, not that they gouge you on exchange rates in Nicaragua.
Let you bank know you are going to be out of the country.
Grand Pollo
You have always sounded so weary ...blah blah.blah....snipped due to length..... for an european Rio is not farther away than Nicaragua. On the contrary: you can fly direct to Rio from many european capitals. To MGA you won't be able to do so not even from Madrid
I had no concern about scandals I was merely pointing out I do not travel with boardies and I don't care who they are. The attempt to impress went nowhere but it didn't matter. I don't know you I don't go anywhere with you. Lived and learned. And reading all your problems man you are a real downer.
Note I don't care who you are or what you do nor was I trying to find out. Obviously you are the deputy of trash collection himself and not the undersecretary, you could be the Pope and it makes no difference. Every single time I have tried to help of ISG members here or in the DR has turned out to be like a toothache. Drunken misogynistic cheapskates usually. I am sure most are not like that, regrettably the ones I have tried to aid have been and universally will ask for all the advice and on arrival do the dead opposite.
No doubt there are not non stop flights to MGA from Europe it is not Rio with 25 million people. Frankly the more negative posts from fellows like you the fewer people want to come and the more I am left to be, less PM's less offers to accompany me so keep it up. The fewer people to meet that travel by bus to Costa Rica is a bonus, really.
Note to aid with facts Iberia has daily flights to GUA from MAD and to connect to MGA from GUA is a 35 minute flight. No buses though, might be the issue.
NB: I suspect a great deal of members are in North America not Europe so the 10 hour flight to Rio vs. 1 1/2 to MGA from Miami is pretty relevant.
Other Boardies do not be so foolish as to ask girls in open earshot for their number and plus you don't want it if she is no good so spend the whopping $12-15 and find out. Then give her that the next day for a lot more time and more fun outside the joint.
To Mountain Guy - the casas are nearly closed during Semana Santa and there are even a lot less street girls. Do not come then, come after or leave before. Also Christmas is a real waste of time the 24th to 26th dead for sure, the 31st is out and the time between is not a lot better.

After reading a dozen or so pages in the Nicaragua forum I figured I would share a few thoughts and observations:
1. The folks bashing other posters for suggesting that Costa Rica or Rio might be a better mongering destination than Nicaragua are deluding themselves. I've been to Nicaragua a time or two, and it has many redeeming qualities for the tourist seeking gringo-free adventure. A mongering paradise it is not. A gringo can have a good mongering experience in Managua without getting fleeced, no doubt. But it takes effort. In Costa Rica and Rio it takes effort to *not* have a good mongering experience. Let's not forget that this is the International Sex Guide, not the International Tourist Guide, the International Friendly Indigens Guide, or the International Short Flights from the States Guide. Nicaragua is comparable to Costa Rica and Rio? Please. Thanks to all for sharing your info about Nicaragua here, it is greatly appreciated. But don't affront our mongering sensibilities with such absurdity.
2. Big Chicken likes the word "misogynistic. " He doesn't like high-ranking officials (would someone please kill this horse AGAIN), and he doesn't like to hang with "boardies. " Good for him. We get it. May we please move on?
3. Posters generally read the posts before they ask questions. And if they don't, who cares? If the information can't be found in the "Reports of Distinction" section, it is perfectly reasonable to make inquires in the relevant sections of this forum after a quick perusal of the thread. If I have the answer to a newbie's specific question, I will gladly answer without a condescending "read the posts" comment. And if I have a question after poring over a dozen or so pages of pissing contests between some self-anointed patriarch and innocent posters, I'll ask. For those having difficulty grasping the concept of message board discourse, let me share something with U. If someone asks a question, there are likely many others seeking the same information. Is this really so difficult to understand?
4. I find it curious that Big Chicken doesn't want to be bothered with PMs, questions that he believes can be answered by "reading the posts, " and other annoyances associated with a high-traffic message board, yet he is by far the most prodigious participant on this forum. Hmmm.

I tried in a polite way to reason you but you won't understand...so, poor Little Pollo, keep that shithole called Managua all for yourself.

Hats off to Angrypirate
Bravo, Angrypirate, I couldn't have said it better myself. Grand Pollo flamed me repeatedly about a year ago because he thought I spent more money than he would have on an outcall to my hotel when I was in Managua. He is indeed the "self-anointed patriarch" of this thread. Someone needs to deflate this pompous, opinionated ass, and I'm glad to see that you did so. Also, you're dead on accurate on Managua vs Costa Rica and Rio as mongering destinations. I think Managua and Grand Pollo deserve each other.
