I wouldn't worry too much

I do feel guilty, as I do post my list of casas. I guess I sometimes forget that there are all kinds of mongers that use this info. The decent ones and the ones who think they are visiting Disneyland.
I speak for many in saying that it is great and useful info (the sharing of which is what this board is all about.) I can think of at least 3 barriers that would keep many "dumb Gringo tourists" away from the Centro casas:
1. Language-- one must speak at least basic Portuguese to get around and one will likely need to be fluent to have a good time.
2. Cleanliness-- some of these places (VM in particular) would so horribly fail a health inspection that any establishment within a 20 meter radius would fail as well. Unprepared First World tourists (i.e. dumb Gringos) would retch, recoil, and run away from such places.
3. Location-- since it's not the tourist friendly Zona Sul, Centro bears the reputation (probably somewhat deserved) for being unsafe and harder to get around, particularly for green tourists.
I don't doubt that Centro visits should be a part of every dedicated Rio monger's itinerary, but in addition I'd put Portuguese lessons and revised expectations on the list as well.
Dress code for Rio Branco white collar massage parlors
Very true.
All the casas on Rio Branco 156, 181 and 185 demands a decent behaviour. These casas are anonymous. They handle their clients with discretion. When a customer enters the casa he's often being showed into one of the rooms, where he's being presented all the ladies. Normally they do everything to avoid that one customer meets another customer. That's standard procedure.
They don't mind having gringos as clients, as long as they know the drill and behave. Having a bunch of loud gringos might be a nightmare for the casa. It might scare away their regular customers. These gringos might be better of at BA 85 or Uruguaiana 24.

I think these instructions MUST be part of your guide, embedded into it.
It is worse, they casa most likely will be closed upon complaints by the neighbors.
Good behavior is a MUST in these downtown executive buildings. Also recommended decent dress, your feet and legs preferably should be covered.
